Goblin.Tools
So, yesterday a friend told me about Goblin.Tools, which uses AI to break down tasks (intended for neurodivergent folks whose executives like to dysfunction). (Admittedly, right now it does use OpenAI's models, but the About page expresses an intention to eventually move to more ethical options.)
ANYWAY, I wanted to play around with it and the first thing that popped into my head was "break kneecaps." I expected it to give a snarky "I can't tell you how to do that" response, but... well, here are some of the breakdowns it gave me:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Does it have any useful advice regarding late-stage capitalism?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
What if I want to multitask?
Tumblr media
I can't decide which of these is funnier:

I'm supposed to be doing an assignment about AI right now, but this is my serotonin for the foreseeable future.

How to Spot Scam/Bot Inbox Messages on Tumblr: A Quick Guide
Recently, there has been an increase in fake accounts on Tumblr that are sending out suspicious inbox messages. Here’s how to identify these scam accounts and avoid falling victim to them:
1. Newly Created Account: If the account messaging you was just created, it is a significant red flag. Scammers and bots often set up new accounts. Check the creation date—recently created profiles with dubious inbox messages are usually not trustworthy.
2. Repetitive, Targeted, or Pushy Posts: Some scam accounts do create their own posts, but these tend to be very targeted and misleading. You'll notice a lot of crowdfunding links or "journals" that seem off, typically written in a way that feels robotic or overly polished. These posts are often pushy and designed to manipulate you, and the content tends to repeat with little variation. If a new account is posting only this type of content, be cautious.
3. Unusual Profile Pictures: Scam accounts often use profile pictures that do not align with Tumblr’s aesthetic. They may appear overly polished, generic, or resemble images typically found on Facebook—making them feel out of place and suspicious.
4. Oddly Written Bios: While unusual usernames are common on Tumblr, be wary of bios that come across as awkward or overly formal. Scammer bios often sound artificial or as if they have been generated by an AI, lacking the natural flow or charm of a genuine user. There is a distinct difference between a person making typical grammatical mistakes and a robotic, stiff bio that does not seem truly human.
5. All Posts and Reblogs Made in One Day: If the account contains only reblogs or posts made within a short time frame—suggesting they were bulk-uploaded in one day—this is a warning sign. Bots frequently dump content quickly to appear legitimate.
6. Inconsistent or Generic Content: Tumblr thrives on niche interests and communities. Scam accounts often post random and inconsistent content that does not fit any specific theme or interest. The content may feel disjointed and generic, as if it is trying to appeal to everyone without conveying anything personal.
7. Suspicious Inbox Messages: Bots often send inbox messages that seem out of place—overly friendly, soliciting donations, or urging you to click on links. If the message feels impersonal, disconnected from any prior interaction, or excessively eager to get you to visit an external site, it is likely a scam.
What to Do If You Receive a Suspicious Message:
- Don’t engage. Ignoring them is your best option. Even responding can lead to more spam or scams.
- Block and report. Utilize Tumblr’s tools to block the account and report it as spam.
If anyone has stuff to add to this small list or more specific examples PLEASE REBLOG OR COMMENT WITH YOUR INPUT!

Okay. I have also lived in relative squalor and have also had to learn the hard way how to pick up and put away, how to sort, and how to tidy.
In no particular order or priority, (because ADHD)
Start with a small project so you don't get overwhelmed. If the whole room is too much, (no surprise) plan on organizing and tidying one drawer, one shelf, or one surface (like a bureau or bedside table)
Set a timer, and plan in breaks (but time your breaks too). With my kitchen I know if I race the timer I can finish putting away the dishwasher/dish drainer and reload/empty the sink in about ten minutes. Because I timed myself once to see how long it took. I can do ten minutes, even on a bad brain day. I'm always surprised when it only takes 3 minutes to do something for example! Especially when I have been struggling.
When I'm struggling I set the timer for 15 minutes. Do as much as I can. Then depending on how I'm doing, I change tasks (a change is as good as a rest, they say) and do another 15, or I rest for about 10, reading or scrolling on my phone.
I never do intense organizing work for more than three 15's without a rest unless we're in some kind of crisis. It's hard work! And building in my permission to rest makes it possible to keep going, for me.
3 boxes and a trash can. This is a method for a BIG clear out, like when you're getting ready to move house, the landlord or your hypercritical relatives are coming to visit. First comb the room for trash. 🗑️ I forgive you for throwing away recyclables. Then, First box is for MOOP, matter out of place. Like, dishes and cups if you're working on the bedroom, groceries you forgot to put away (✋🏻) laundry that needs to go in the hamper. Second box is for giveaway things 🎁. Third box (or maybe pile) is for the stuff you're keeping, that lives in the room you're tidying, it just needs put away. Take the trash out, and Move boxes 1&2 out of the room while you put away box 3 so you don't get distracted. (Ask me how I know 🙄)
Plan a reward for yourself when you reach a certain milestone: LOOK 😳 I CAN SEE THE FLOOR OMG!! 🍪, 📖, 🍸, ☕, 😴, you don't have to spend a lot of money 💰 just something you know you enjoy. Rewards for doing The Hard Thing Are important.
You can prioritize spending time cleaning and organizing your treasures. That's allowed for sure, and can give you the mood lift necessary for the rest of the cleaning and tidying.
Listen to your body and mind. If you're overwhelmed and it's still not 15, give yourself a break anyway. Maybe today you can only work in blocks of 5, or 10 minutes. Find out what you CAN do, and adapt your system to what today allows.
Breathe. Stretch your body if it feels tight. Anxiety lives in the body and it helps ease it, to move deliberately. This helps too if you aren't used to doing the kind of physical work.
I like to give myself credit for the work by checking it off in my planner/calendar . That tiny check mark ✔️ really does help. And if the work isn't finished but I'm at "stick a fork in me I'm done" then putting the next part of the job in the calendar 📆 on the next day I have time to do the work, helps me hold myself accountable.
Ten things make a list! I've struggled with learning tidying, prioritizing, and cleaning for over half my life. I have more ideas 💡 and things I've learned, please feel free to drop an ask, or we can chat in messages. Happy to be a sounding board.
Ok so I am a very messy person by nature. It is interesting to me hoe many people think this is laziness or moral failing. I'm comfortable with mess bc I grew up in squalor, and yet was expected to be neat and being mess was a way to say fuck you when I didn't have the words. Cleaning to me brings up a ping in my brain about my mom shipping me to an abusive extended family for a week, bc id enjoy them certainly, so she could gut my room and throw out shit left and right having no idea of what things had value. This was a Power play, bc she never felt the urge to wash my blanket, which I would not release for laundry, while gone, just get rid of my things.
So yeah. Got baggage around cleaning.
However, I need to clean my room. Every bit of research says a net and clean environment would improve my outlook.
So I'm asking y'all to help give me tips to motivate me to actually do it, and to hold me accountability on whether I have. Don't just tag, reblog or reply, bc that shit is useful for anyone and more like to be seen my mean.
Please help me get this done.

This is the DOE's end DEI portal
This is where they have you send in reports of DEI practices so they can shut it down.
"AGH I'M SO ANGRY! WHAT DO I DO ABOUT THIS!?!"
1) Use this link to create yourself a temporary email. Try to make something that looks like a reasonably valid sounding email like [email protected]
https://generator.email/
Why are you doing that? Because you need a valid email address in case they send email address validation, but you're also creating spam, so you need something that'll also allow you to quickly set up new temporary emails in case your spam email address is filtered out.
2) Go here. Choose a random State and School District.
https://ballotpedia.org/List_of_school_districts_in_the_United_States
Why? Because they'll probably filter out anything that isn't a valid school district, so you will need a valid school district
3) Go into Google type in "ZipCodes of... followed by your district name"
Why do we do this? Because they'll probably filter on anything where the district and zipcode doesn't match.
4) Write a well worded summary from your favorites book or TV series that highlights discrimination be it Shrek, the Bee movie, the Emoji movie, or whatever. Just word it will enough that it's not immediately obvious what it is. Submit your story!
5) Repeat as many times as possible! Use different media sources for creativity if you have to. But if your run out of garbage, use this by Goblin-Tools to rewrite your already created garbage.
https://goblin.tools/Formalizer
What's the goal?
To absolutely trash their submission form to the point of unusability.
Can I do this if I'm not in the US?
Absolutely! I do suggest a VPN as their systems may be able to flag your IP address as "not in the US"
Bonus points if you upload images to fake discrimination.
COOL. I DID THE THING. ANYTHING ELSE?
Absolutely.
They gave us another email address to contact!
You can contact their Office of Community Outreach!
Press Office

Check out the website goblin.tools! It will break down tasks into smaller steps for you to follow
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
people who struggle w executive dysfunction
get wet wipes. u can use them on ur underarms or anywhere else that might get stinky when u dont shower
brushing ur teeth for 30 seconds w just water is way better than not brushing them at all, and u can do it so fast
u r allowed to drink those meal replacement thingies if cooking or eating feels like too much work. ive used nesquik and chocolate soylent and id recommended adding chocolate syrup to both
if u have too many tasks, write them all down. do NOT try to order them by importance. u MAY group them into 2 categories (critical and less critical). close ur eyes and point at 1 and then go do it

AI tools for the neurodivergent brain
As AI application starts to expand rapidly in it's uses and abilities, there is an understandable amount of scepticism and discussion about how it can negatively impact how our society develops.
On the flipside of this, I'd like to share a couple of AI tools which I've found incredibly useful. As someone with pretty severe executive disfunction, I've always dreamed about being able to have a personal assistant to help me out when I am struggling.
If you haven't already tried it out, take a look at goblin.tools
This AI tool helps me in so many ways. From finding the right words, assembling ingredients into a meal, checking how my tone comes across in a message, to breaking down overwhelming tasks into manageable steps.
I also really like mymind
It's like a pinterest board, bookmark manager and general braindump tool that has helped me organise all the different projects, ideas and general digital hoarding into one place - that I can actually search and find all the relevant things without agonising over file organisation and bookmark labelling.
If you have trouble with keeping a hundred pinned tabs on your browser like I do, this tool can actually really help letting go of the anxiety of losing those things without the fear you will never come back to it again.
As much as I share some of the trepidation about this powerful new tech and we should definitely keep questioning how it is being rolled out into every facet of our lives - it can also be a very real accessibility aid for neurodivergent folks.
No amount of notebooks, lists, alarms and calendar reminders comes close to how these have helped me with ADHD symptoms.
I'd hate for that to be overlooked in all the backlash against AI in general.

is goblin.tools (PLEASE visit the site before you make a snap judgment) okay to use if you’re a ND person and it really helps you? what are some alternatives if not?
only resubmitting because previous answers read “generative ai” and instantly jumped to assuming it’s used for actually generating written content to turn in and not just a collection of tools
