Weekends were meant to rejuvenate and catch up on the hobbies you neglect during the week. Waking up just in time for brunch and pajamas all day until time to get out of the enclosure.

Weekends for Choso were meant to play battle ninja princess and make pasta because his daughters wanted it for literally any meal when you weren’t around to say otherwise. He cherished the busy days as much as the calm ones. Running across town to toy stores and the bakery was his rejuvenation today.

“Mama would want the sprinkles!”

“Yea! Sprinkles! With the cereal, too, papa!”

“Make it five!”

With an apologetic expression to the cashier on his face, Choso took his wallet out of his fanny pack while using his free hand to massage his energetic children's heads gently.

“I’m sorry. Would you please give me two of each specialty donut and a dozen matcha macarons? Oh! And if possible, one of your full-sized ube mango tarts?” The twins exchanged "thank yous" to the cashier as Choso picked up the boxes, placing them in the stroller's attached storage bag before heading home.

It wasn’t a lengthy walk home. The weather, however, proved pleasant enough to go a longer route. Early summer was always more forgiving. The blossoming trees shadowed the ground, reprieve from the hint of heat. A soft breeze carried the delicate fragrance of blossoms and mowed lawns that lingered as Choso glanced in both directions before joining the group on the crosswalk.

“Papa. What’s a tart?”

“It’s like a pie but with less crust and more tasty filling like berries or custard.” Choso focused on the pathway ahead while answering.

“Who’s gonna eat the obey tart you got?”

Choso chuckled. “Ube, birdie. And Mama likes it. It’s her favorite.”

Saturdays started with the inevitable cuddle mountain attack from Ani and Nori once they realized it was a no-school day. This promptly led to them dashing around the house as ‘Papa Kong’ chased them until breakfast was done. Perfected chaos.

On this Saturday, things were different. Choso, with the twins accompanying him, instructed you to stay in bed as he ran a few errands. You didn’t even try to protest. You nodded, turning over to go back to sleep for another hour.

While you enjoyed the morning of reading with the humming humidifier in the background, you began to miss the sound of your rowdy duo and patient husband.

When you first met Choso and a teen Yuji, weekends were filled with nothing but noise as Yuji had his 2 friends over often. The liveliness around the house reminds you of those days when you watched the three having the “Is a hot dog a sandwich” debate in your cute little apartment back then.

“We’re back!”

“Mama!”

The energetic war cries sliced through the silence, and you sat your book down. “Well, there my little birdies are! Where did you all go?”

“We went to eat pasta! And we went to the park! Papa took us to get sweets!” Nori stated as she sat beside you, wrestling with her shoes before pulling them off.

“yeah! We got mac’rns and donuts! Ones with berries and sprinkles!” Ani added, setting her small bag down before she climbed into your lap.

You looked to see Choso heading to the sunroom. Curious, you attempt to get up, but Ani traps you with a toothy smile on her cherub face.

“No, no, sorry! Papa said to keep you here until he finished uh… Preppering for you!”

“Preparing for me?”

They nodded in unison, snickering with glee.

The raven-haired girls tugged at your heartstrings with their sweet existence. Spitting image of their father with you being seen in their mannerisms and warm smiles. “What’s happening with you three, hmm?” The pair smiled at you as they spoke in hushed tones about the super secret Kamo party in what could only be described as the loudest whisper known to man.

While your children were talking to you about the squirrel they insist said hello to them, a very familiar knock was suddenly heard at the front door. “Be right back, birdies.”

The knocking persisted, and you knew exactly who it was the moment you saw the pink hair through the door's frosted glass.

“Yuji! What on earth are you doing in town?”

Yuji embraced you tightly, his bag falling to the floor as he practically picked you up, his boyish grin never fading.

“Cho called me! He said he wanted to get together soon. Though maybe I should’ve asked when…”

“Nonsense! Now is the perfect time. It's so good to see you.” You gave his cheek a slight pinch as he closed the door behind him.

He gave you another hug, this time squeezing you like he used to when he was younger. The familial warmth set in as he pulls away, looking at you. “You have no idea how happy I am to see you all. It's been forever”

“It has been. And your nieces are going to be thrilled to see you.” On cue, the twin girls ran into the foyer, screaming with excitement as they jumped onto Yuji.

“You two have certainly grown. You'll be bigger than Uncle soon! Must be eating your veggies, hm?” They giggled as he kneeled down to be at their level, his new tattoos being their point of interest with shock and awe.

A few minutes into your mini-reunion, Choso appeared at the foyer entrance.

“Little brother!” His tone was warm, and his eyes were shining. Choso went to Yuji, kissing his forehead before subjecting him to the most suffocating hug he could. “I’m glad you could make it!”

“Of course. I’ll never miss the chance to see you guys!”

Taking in the energy from his most beloved people, he settled his eyes on the twins “Birdies? Do you mind leading the way to the back?”

“Uncle Yu, come on!” They both took one of his hands, you and Choso following behind.

  “Choso? What’s all this about?” Most of them being a much younger version of yourself and Choso; curiosity sets in as you scan over the various Polaroids that trimmed the hallway.

One in particular with you, Choso, and Yuji, eating ube tartlets after your graduation, catching your eye.

“Just wanted to do something for our family to celebrate today,” his lips landed a peck at the corner of your mouth.

“I’ve forgotten a holiday? Oh hell, Cho-cho, I’m so sorry-”

“Baby, you forgot nothing. It’s a new holiday.” Squeezing your hand, reassuring you, “One I declared and didn’t announce til today. So, do you remember what we did on this day 9 years ago?”

You pondered a moment. Your anniversary was a few months away, while birthdays were set for later in the year.

Hanging on the wall was a framed photo of Choso, Yuji, and you. Taken in front of your first apartment when Choso became Yuji’s guardian. It all clicked. “Oh Choso”

You paused at the opened French doors leading to the sunroom. Cherry blossom fairy string lights cross over the ceiling, highlighting drawings made by the twins. Sweets were arrayed on a table, and traditional tea was set in the center of the room. Yuji stood next to the setting, proudly looking at his brother's work.

“9 years ago, you stood right with me as I became his guardian. And you never left.” Yuji smiled on, remembering the moment when you welcomed him into your arms like you’d known him all his life. “You helped me grow. You became a figure in both our lives that we needed, and I haven’t properly shown how much I appreciated that.” Choso led you into the room, the girls sitting down as Yuji began to pour tea and plate their sweets. “You became my family and gave me the best gifts anyone could ever ask for.”

Speechless, you hugged him tightly, butterfly kisses to his now flushed cheeks before you looked around the room. Every detail from past dates to recent events in your lives is shown in the decor. “Thank you”

“Im pleased to say our first Kamo Family Day is officially here!”

Ani and Nori cheered as you sat with them, passing you the designated party hat as Yuji and Choso shared stories of their first years together.

Later that evening

  With both the kids and Yuji settled in for the night, you and Choso settled on the couch with the leftover tart.

Holding the fork out for him to take his bite, you peered over at him, deeply engrossed in the episode of Master Chef.

“I really feel like Gordon Ramsey would make me cry.”

“Hm?” you swallowed, trying to hide your laugh.

“I’m serious.” He glances over at you, low-lidded eyes showing a hint of melancholy. “Remember when the girls talked about how I did their space buns, which were all wonky, according to Nori? That haunted me for a week.”

He finally took a bite of tart and looked back at the TV. “Gordon would have me sobbing in our linen closet over how raw I like my burgers.”

You couldn’t help but grab the pillow, chortling into it. “I’ll protect you Cho, don’t worry.”

He found you munching on berries you picked from bushes that were near the Wu Shi Academy. You were worried that you were in trouble but Liu Kang was very kind to you. He informed you that you could stay with the Wu Shi for as long as you wanted and have as many berries as you desired. You were very grateful for his acceptance. He did tell you to not worry too much about the monks and warriors around. They won’t bother you at all. Well, he thought they wouldn’t.

He should have known better and realized Kung Lao would be excited to see you.

The first time he ever saw you was a magical moment for him. He was resting by the shade, watching everyone else train. He was near the blackberry bushes and decided why the heck not. He can go for a couple of berries. But when he went to get a handful he saw another hand grab them. He jumped back and yelped a little. That’s when your long bunny ears popped up from behind the bushes. You started to stand up and Kung Lao got a look at you.

He saw how your ears matched your hair color perfectly. You had a cotton tail that was puffy. Below your knees were actual bunny paws. Toe beans and fur! He was shocked. He’s never seen a creature like you. You stared at him while munching on the blackberries quickly, the purple juice staining your lips. Since he wasn’t speaking, you decided to hop away. You moved like a bullet with your bunny legs.

He stood there gawking like an idiot. It was only when Johnny began to speak that he became aware of his surroundings again.

To everyone else, this crush that Kung Lao had on you was a surprise. It happened so fast. Raiden understood immediately. Kung Lao always had a love for bunnies. While all the other gardeners and harvesters hated bunnies since they would mess up the crops, Kung Lao was the exception. He would make sure none of the bunnies got hurt and would help bring them somewhere safe. He would never keep any of them since he knew he couldn’t stay with them the whole time. Might as well let them stay free.

But you! You’re around all the time. That means he can have you and love you, and cuddle you, and pet you, and…and…AND! Relax, Kung Lao! You’re gonna hurt your precious brain.

Oh, he couldn’t help himself. He did everything to get close to you and have you trust him. It worked. Soon enough he was next to you all the time, petting your ears and feeling how soft your fur was. His eyes would shine with adoration at every little thing you did. He found the way you eat to be adorable. Whenever you shake your cotton tail his cheeks would warm up from how cute it was. When your ears would flop around he wanted to play with them.

Yes, you’ve sure captured his attention and his heart. Now that he has you in his life he never wants to let you go. You’re just too precious and he would do anything for you. He would even protect you. He’s already been protecting you.

Let’s be honest, Johnny is a flirt. After his ex-wife left him and he hadn’t seen a female in months his eyes were on you. Yeah, he knew Kung Lao was smitten with you. But does that stop a man who thinks with his second head? Didn’t think so. That man had plans and Kung Lao was not happy with what Johnny was thinking.

“I bet she would look good in a Playboy bunny outfit. No ears needed.” He joked with Kung Lao.

All Johnny got in return was a death glare. He was not pleased with that perverted comment. He would have smacked the fuck out of him if it weren’t for Liu Kang being around. You don’t deserve comments like that, especially behind your back. That’s why Kung Lao does his best to respect you, love you, and treat you right. He’ll protect you from Johnny’s perverted ways. He’s a better man than him anyway.

It does explain why he was being more touchy with you.

Whenever you two would pass the others, Kung Lao would wrap his arm around your shoulders before carrying on. Or he would ask you for a hug which you never deny him of. You like being squeezed by his muscular arms. And of course, he would mess with your ears. He would push them back, flop them up and down, or try to make the fur on them point straight up.

For some reason you were not getting the hint that he liked you. The abundance of vegetables and his touches didn’t set off any alarms in your mind. You silly bunny! He had to say it outright for you to get the idea.

Kung Lao was really getting agitated with Johnny at this point. He wouldn’t shut up about how he could easily win you over even though he has done nothing for you. He’s never given you a compliment on how high you could jump or even found the sweet spot behind your left ear. Only Kung Lao has been treating you right. If you were to fall in love with anyone it would be him.

Something snapped inside of him. He couldn’t take it anymore.

“You’re a bigger fool than I imagined, Johnny. You clearly don’t know how to take care of a lady, let alone a bunny lady.”

You’re right, Kung Lao. But you didn’t have to say it out loud. My goodness.

“I’m the only one around here who has made an effort to claim her heart and protect her. I would never let you touch her even with a ten-foot pole. She’s mine, Johnny, get over yourself.”

“Huh?”

Your voice rang out behind him. When he looked at everyone’s faces which confirmed that you were behind him. Even Kenshi had an awkward face, and he usually had a grumpy expression. Kung Lao slowly turned around and saw you looking at him with a curious expression. Your head was tilted to the side and your ears were pointed straight up. Well, this is a little awkward.

“Well since you are so sure about her falling for you why don’t you ask her right now.” Johnny was getting sassy.

Immediately Kung Lao grabbed onto his razor-rimmed hat and was about to chuck it at Johnny but everyone was yelling at him to relax. Even you told him not to do it since there was no point in getting himself in trouble.

“There is no need to kill him! He never had a chance anyways.” See you said it yourself; Johnny never had a chance.

Kung Lao luckily stopped and turned back towards you. He shouldn’t be shocked, he was putting in the work. He showed you kindness. He was delicate with your fur and ears. He never made an attempt to pull your tail like some people did. You watched him gather all those yummy vegetables and fruits for you the first time he decided to talk to you. You knew at that moment that you could trust him with your life.

Johnny, and everyone in general, never stood a chance. You wanted Kung Lao and he clearly wanted you. You gave him a smile before grabbing his face and placing a kiss on his cheek. His cheek warmed up immediately which you found cute.

Oh my, he’s getting shy! Looks like the prideful and skilled Kung Lao was stumped by a cute bunny girl. You sure gained yourself a cutie.

Lando seemed to have noticed that Y/N was zoned out, so he tapped her shoulder, "You don't have to listen if you don't want to." Y/N apologised and tried to pay attention, alas Lando had other plans and decided to end her misery. He took her along to the drivers room, let her sit down and even got her an iced americano, her favourite!! Y/N thanked him with the conversation flowing like butter with the sprinkling of some flirting here and there. As Lando finished P3, he made sure to get Y/N number before she left for the night; a triumphant look on Lando's face.

She wasn't the only one happy it seems because a certain driver couldn't get done with press and debrief without blushing every time he looked at her. He even ran back after the race to her in what every is describing as a race to get her number before she leaves. We hope to see more of Y/N now that she might become a wag.

IDW collection reading update! :D 📖 (Fixed!)

Phase 2 volume 4 done! This volume included: Monstrosity, RID issues 12-18 and MTMTE issues 14-16!

I ended up reading all the way to Phase 2 volume 6 before finishing this update so my notes are a bit scattered! Anyway! As usual my thoughts are below :3 ⤵️

Monstrosity:

This story is set in the past, when Optimus has assumed leadership on Cybertron after the senate and pervious primes were killed.

This story is, I dunno... For some reason I can't really get into these?? It feels... edgy?? Idk, I feel like that's not the best way to describe it. But there's something about the vibe with these ones in the past (like Autocracy and this one).

Of course everyone is becoming the characters we know since this is in the past. So there is going to be a lot of fumbling and growing from them and things that seem out of character. But given their situation at the time, i can't be super harsh on odd decisions.

They have to deal with the senate and their corruption, as well as that from the previous primes, the Decepticons uprising and wanting to take over, Cybertron running out of resources aaaaand I feel like something else I can't remember rn 🤔 but a lot is going on!! Haha.

There is a scene that references the OG animated movie where they toss Megatron out of Astrotrain and he goes "I still function...!" Which was a pretty cool homage tho.

But this kinda felt like a whole way to just show how badass Megs is meanwhile Optimus is going through it on Cybertron 😂 It was entertaining and interesting at parts, but some things I was 'eh' about

RID: 12-16:

Before i go on, I'm sorry, but... this Megs panel is giving me the same energy as that little alien guy that was in the news months ago 🤣 Now actually⤵️

Megatron returns!! This story was very entertaining!! I feel like I can usually guess where something is going, but I was surprised by a lot of the twists here! There was so many!

The character deaths had me shook! 😭 Wheeljack ahhhh!!! Metalhawk!! Also everything with Prowl and the Constructions! O_O;

I'm sorry Prowl 😔 I was pretty surprised when they started killing off the Decepticons at first, but then went: "Well, I guess he's being super ruthless now" I couldn't see you were brainwashed!! 😭🗿To my defense, him teaming up with Arcee and given Arcee's record, it kinda seemed like the natural progression of things lol 💀

Two things I kinda have mixed feelings about tho are:

1. Arcee just casually being part of the Decepticon gang and no one questioning her being there?? She then easily kills the guy controlling Devastator and that was like... Megatron's big plan. Why didn't she do it sooner? I imagine it was to draw out Meg's, but still it seemed weird.

2. Starscream killing Metalhawk after Metalhawk came to save Starscream. It's in his character and everything, and I'm happy that he did it bc it shows who he is. But OOF I thought he was leaning a different way for a bit and that I had Starscream wrong, But no, he's greedy boy. (I was starting to like Metalhawk T_T)

Anyway! Good guy Swindle!! 🥹

MTMTE 14-16:

💀💀💀💀💀 BIG SAD. But!!! It was a super interesting story!! I really enjoyed learning about Overlord and Chromedome.

Chromedome becoming Trepan's apprentice in the past was crazy!! :O And the whole scene with him and Prowl in Prowl's office. When Prowl asks/threatens Chromedome to go into Overlord's mind 😙👌 *chef's kiss* GET 'EM CHROMEDOME!! 💪👊🔪

The whole thing about how the Phase Sixers are made was very interesting too!! This frame ⤵️ Meg's saying this made me lmao 😂 I can now see the thing between him and Overlord better now.

As for Overlord getting out and obliterating some of the crew... ughhhhh 😭😭😭 Pipes man!! Ratchet protecting the medibay was awesome. Best doctor 🚑😌

I was shocked during the fight with Overlord that Magnus got so injured!! I've read ahead already, but I was sweating it, I thought he was gonna die too 😭😭 Overlord goes right for your spark man 💀

Luckily they got Overlord back to his containment cell, but- 😭😭😭😭 LITTLE MAN 😭😭😭 Why'd he have to hop in there to get the sword??? OTL

Then Chromedome blowing it up once the cell disengaged from the ship 😭 It was a perfectly painful sequence! 👏

When I saw the scene with Whirl and the cannon/ blaster shooting asteroids, I knew it would come around 😔

Also!! Learning that Chromedome has had other deep connections with bots (idk if Brainstorm meant Conjunx' specifically) and given them his innermost energon before and that's why he's dry!! Excuse me as I sob 🤧🤧🤧🤧😭😭😭😭 and then he makes himself forget!!! UGHH OTL My heart man!

The tape that Rewind made too!! 😭🤧

Drift taking one for the team too by getting banished 😔 he's a real one. Also pls come back.

RID 17-18:

We got more Shockwave lore here and I'm a big Shockwave enjoyer so I was very happy!! More heartache of course tho 😢

Him pitching/making the Jhiaxian academy of advanced technology is huge. Then all the experiments he did once he was turned purple 💀💀💀

Him going to Dai Atlas and injuring him before the attack on the senate so that he would escape death was a cool surprise. He's still in there ;_; ahhhh.

There is another story that happens in current time where Bee gets turned into Goldbug, but I think he's called "Goldfire" here? 🤔 He really got injured during the whole thing with Meg's so they had to fix him up with pieces of his old earth form.

It was cool to see included in the story :3

Final Random Thoughts:

This volume had a bunch of great stories in it! And I learned quite a bit about characters I like!

Though it was sad, I'd say my favorite story was the mtmte one with Overlord (The Overlord arc?). The art is always fantastic and so is the story!

I look forward to reading more and I'll be making another reading update very soon since I'm already on volume 6!

I didn't want to lump them all together bc I like using images as the story breaks and Tumblr only let's you use 10 per post 😔 Also... I ramble quite a lot haha, so 3 volumes worth would definitely be too much! 😂

The thing is that Palpatine is so...insidious (lol) that I fully believe he could groom anyone to be a Darth Vader if he has the opportunity.

Look at Luke, with Luke it didn't work because he didn't have years of manipulation and Luke did have more stable relationships and less all-consumming insecurities compared to Anakin, and a much less dogmatic understanding of bieng A Good Jedi (tm),,,AND LUKE STILL ALMOST FALLS.

Even if you want to take the sequels as canon...He also didn't have the time to groom Rey for years, and still almost succeds.

Padmé saw Palpatine as a sort of political mentor but could realize she was being played, but Palpatine didn't warp her into world-changing views.

But regarding your question, I think it would depend a lot and there's a lot of factors playing, like: Do she and Anakin bond? Why did Palpatine pick her? Or is this a reverse situation? Was she also brough as an older kid or was taken as a baby?

If we simplify it to "She was the one super strong in the force so Palpatine picked her for apprentice", yeah, I think we would have had Darth Amidala, perhaps less ruthless and murderous than Vader, more subtle and way more cold, but...idk, look at the other people Sidious got his hand into (Maul, Dooku).

If Padmé and Anakin had bonded, and Sheev had wanted Padmé as his apprentice, then I bet he would've find some way to get rip off of Anakin and anyone close to her, isolating and cutting away any ties to love or comforts is first and foremost.

Even if Anakin had been another apprentice to Sheev, then Palpatine was in for just some fun games and see how to get one of his apprentices kill, betray or in some way get out of the picture so only the best one remains.

Sheev is an incredible villain because he's always playing 4D Chess and he adapts his plan on the go.

When it comes to AUs like this, I think we're talking about the very human and sad nature that is being vulnerable to manipulation, no matter how smart.

Sometimes we want to think "oh if it hadn't been Anakin, if it had been -insert goodie good character-, things would've changed", but the fact is that no one is infalible. Groomers change their game and attack the weakness they see and adapt to their victim needs, and Palpatine is terrifying in that regard. And is a supporting system what helps people to get out.

Padmé is brave, smart and competent, but guess what, so was Anakin. And I think Palpatine would have exploited her weakness if he had chosen her as a victim instead of Anakin. But so would have anyone else. If Palpatine had chosen Obi-Wan, or Ahsoka, or Quilan, or Ayla, whatever, then we would have ended with a sith apprentice anyways; with their own particular personality and quirks, of course, and less unhinged perhaps because one of the biggest things in Anakin/Vader's views is that he was a slave and he sees the world in a very particular way, but yeaaaah.

If I must think of how could an evil Padmé would be...I think she would be very methodical and unlike Vader, she wouldn't be submissive to her "master" at all, she would plot against Sheev and harbour lots of hate and very little loyalty to him. She has the mindset of a queen, not a slave. In a way, that would make her more dangerous.

And I think she would ha v e some sort of…possesive views? Like, idk how to explain, kinda like how a queen sees a bestiary? Awesome, scary and cool beast to keep in a nice sanctuary, but they belong to her. I get this idea because of that bit from one of the novels, where she thinks that Anakin is like a vine tiger, dangerous and capable of murdering anyone else "but that runs to put his cheek against her and pur.r"

But like Anakin, then anyone can turn back as well and get away from the manipulation, and a sith Padmé could as well!

aLSO, before anyone says something because I'm starting to know how this fandom works... no, I'm not absolving Anakin of guilt, because victims can become abusers and should be held accountable. However, I am praising how terrifying Palpatine actually is when you think about it, literally any other character could've become what Anakin became had Sheev (or any other groomer, tbh) decided to play the cards that way.

After playing RE2R, RE4, and RE6, I can’t stop thinking about Leon and Ada. Their whole relationship both saddens me and angers me (bare with me, I can explain myself)

Um… it’s like 1AM and I really really really love analyzing resident evil. CAPCOM should hire me or something (I’m in desperate need of a job☠️)

Ada is a very mysterious character having known so little about her and her upbringing. All we know is that she’s a mercenary that makes it believe that she’s loyal to her employer when in reality, she willingly betrays Wesker and Simmons.

I don’t like that argument where people say Ada is a bad person because she betrayed Leon—because let me tell you: she didn’t.

I don’t think she 100% betrayed Leon (AND IM TIRED OF HER CHARACTER BEING BROUGHT DOWN AS JUST THAT BECAUSE SHES A REALLY COOL PERSON)

Sure, she got her hands on the Amber and she did kind of take the G-Sample when she fell into the abyss or wtv—but she still has that same sense of humanity she’s always kept.

I’d like to think of her as someone that lives through so many expectations that maybe she doesn’t know what she truly wants, until she met Leon. Leon is the type of guy, just like Chris, who cares so much about the people and keeping the world safe and free of danger. Even though Ada might be working with enemies in the future, she will always do what she thinks is right, hence her betrayals to her employers in the past.

The only reason she betrays everyone is because she betrayed herself in not knowing what she truly wants in the end.

I don’t really ship them (I don’t ship anyone, it makes me feel weird putting two characters together when I can just wait for the official statements) but they do give me that vibe of a “what if” relationship.

“What if?” They can’t indulge themselves in a relationship, sure they’ve hooked up, but how long until either one gets hurt that they can’t bear the thought of seeing the other again. The chase is fun, yes, but they both know that they’ll only get hurt.

It’s like the type of right person, wrong time type of thing but at the same time: is it love or infatuation?

They make me sad because I can’t fathom the idea of loving someone but not being able to be with them. Leon frequently has to choose whether to go with Ada or keep saving the world.

But he never really chooses Ada and Ada knows this just as much as he does that no matter how much you may love someone—you cannot ignore the obstacles thrown your way. It’s time to let go. In RE6, Ada basically says goodbye while Leon keeps her memory.

Idk man I be crying because of them.😔

My predictions for tomorrow's episode before the spoilers start coming out.

Almost no indication of love, requited or otherwise, between Armand and Daniel. This is the equivalent of the chase in the books. DM is going to be a slow burn, imo.

DM did not happen in the past, apart from this incident and some stalking. I've felt this way for some time, since DM is the turning point for Armand's character arc, and it feels a little meh to have it happen in flashbacks.

Armand stalked Daniel after the first interview. I think this because he's Armand. Nobody told him stalking is not a love language.

We'll be getting proper scary Armand here. The Armand who has someone chained up in his basement. The Armand who demands to know how he can make you love him. As I like to call him, Dutch Angle Armand. And it's about time, too. My precious baby has seemed far too sane for far too long.

That said, I suspect Louis will also scare the shit out of us. idk why yet, it just seems like this is the Vampires Scaring Humans episode.

I think if Armand personally removed any memory from Louis' mind, it was about this incident. He never wanted Louis to see him like that. He'd have done it to Daniel on principle, but to Louis through panic.

As a result of finding this out, Louis is enraged. We'll get foreshadowing in the form of something like "You swore you'd never do it again!"

This might be the episode where they break up, instead of episode 8. Probably encouraged by Daniel, who understandably sees Armand as the biggest threat here.

But this is why Raglan James (or "Raglan James") tells Daniel, possibly at the end of this episode, it's Louis he should be afraid of, though he's vague about why. Dun-dun-dun, and Daniel just got the one person who can stop Louis from seriously hurting him kicked out.

OTOH, I think this might be the episode where we get the scene of Louis telling Armand, in a pained but calm tone, that he remembers something differently now. I have no theories about that, but it doesn't seem like a conversation that's going to tear Armand a new one. When Armand says "You've remembered" in previews, he seems almost hopeful.

I kind of think Daniel is grabbing his crotch because Armand won't let him use the restroom. Humiliation will ensue.

ok well I feel insane gotta process

I feel pretty blindsided by how casually my parents dropped this on me & also how it was presented to me, as a “we already made this decision together and agreed this is for the best” thing rather than a “I’m feeling pretty tired/wrung out and might need a break sooner than I thought. can we talk about what that might look like” conversation. BUCKS SPEECH TO CHRIS- okay lots of thoughts on this because my mom got confused and picked thought daughter:

Do I love that the writers low-key made it sound like he’s comparing Eddie to the Buckley parents? no I hate it but KR was writing for this ep so what did we expect

Do I think a marginally better way to interpret it is that it was more so continuing that theme of paralleling buck and Chris’ issues? Yes

Are the basic and I mean like the very abstract very simple and nothing further parallels there? Yeah like parent not over their grief causes conflict between parent and child

Other than that no not at all Eddie never involved Chris in this, Kim came over with her Shannon cosplay without telling him, Eddie also never intentionally emotionally harmed Chris while the Buckley parents spent bucks entire life intentionally being the absolute worst™️ and emotionally neglectful and were shit parents to Maddie too by forcing her to pretend her brother didn’t exist while she was a child and mourning said brother

But I also think it’s actually very in character for buck to continue to sympathise with them and cut them an impossible amount of slack by trying to draw parallels to this situation like it’s less trying to paint Eddie more like them and more so using Eddie (someone he cares about and loves and sympathises with deeply) as a frame of reference to mentally try to humanise and sympathise with his own parents - idk if I’m making sense but in my head it makes sense

Like it’s actually a pretty common thing you see with traumatised people they’ll sorta draw parallels that aren’t there between themselves or the people they care about and the people who traumatised them because a lot of traumatised people will just constantly seek to understand that perspective more and sympathise with it like hell I’ve seen it with the people in my life doing it and it’s like woah those situations are very different I need you to recognise that

If you could rewrite 5 chenford scenes, what would they be and why? 😊❤️

Okay, this is a really tough one. I feel like there might be more than I think there are but this is where I’m at right now.

(1) I know technically this isn’t a rewrite of a Chenford scene but rather adding a scene we never got because I wish we’d gotten a little one after the Sanford debacle in 4x17. Just… something because there’s a lot of shared trauma for Lucy and Tim. Don’t get me wrong, I love that they had Lucy work through it herself and showing that she doesn't need someone's help, but I always felt that she really could’ve needed that support from Tim after ✨Chris✨

(2) Kind of tying back to number 1 because it's also DOD related: any sort of confirmation that Lucy kept the tattoo. I think we all had this image in our heads of us finding out with Tim that she did in fact keep it, preferably during their first time. I don't know what that scene might've looked like on screen, but I still do wish that there was something for us, maybe just a little continuation of that ending scene in 5x12. Or, hell, a morning after scene at the beginning of 5x13.

(3) Listen, I love that hug in 4x09 but that lead up to it, with the Tim Test in 4x08? That was such an un-Lucy like comment that I wish we could erase it. I know she was probably just thinking out loud and not thinking about what that would sound like to Tim, but knowing that it stayed in his head for days afterwards? Oof. Not sure if this counts as a rewrite because idk how it could be rewritten so that the hug still happens, but.. you know.

(4) I’ll go with 5x16 because as much as I want to like this episode, I… don’t. Sure, it’s what gave us the necklace and that moment is precious, but everything leading up to it? Upon rewatch, it falls somewhat flat for me because there’s just something missing the entire episode. If I could change it, I’d have them address the whole issue with the five player trade more seriously and maybe already start that conversation they needed (and imo, still need) to have about Lucy and UC work (cause with Noah there as a buddy from UC school, it would’ve been the perfect opportunity). It just felt like they wanted to broach the topic at the end but couldn’t dedicate more than a short scene in Tim’s office to it.

(5) I feel like this might be a bit unpopular but, um… the resolution (-ish) of their argument in 6x01. In the end, it was all basically put on Tim and his problems with UC when it actually was about much more than that, Lucy’s.. anxiety-induced self-sabotage and -doubt included. I’m not saying it was all on her or him but rather on them, and that’s not how they chose to “resolve” it in the 100th. It’s clear that they both have their problems with the whole UC thing but I’m still kind of waiting for more than just “I need to deal with it,” because it is more than that, at least in my opinion. I know we can never have real in depth conversations on screen but that dance scene felt a little too short for me (granted, there was so much going on in the episode, similar to 5x16 actually, but I just wish they had dedicated even simply 30 seconds more to it).

(6) I will add a quick 6th here because, well, it’s me and I would like to change the breakup into a non-breakup at the end of 6x06. And that’s all I’m going to say.
