I do want to draw more HCs but have been playing Kenshi lately (it reminds me so much of old Fallout!!) 🥲

But! Will decide to sort of briefly write it here, it's about Dismas before the events of Darkest Dungeon 1.

15 years ago he rose up to become a bandit chief around the area, the Gutter Rats as the thieves call it. Thing is, that was Vvulf and his Wolves' turf too, and there was a gang war.

Funniest thing is that the D-man never carried about the power or influence but rogues flocked to him because he was just too damn good at robbing and killing.

Also in that 5 years of gang war (before a delicate balance of peace was achieved) Dismas kind of like, showed a bizarre talent for tactical strategy, it's the main reason how the Gutter Rats kept alive so long with the smaller size of influence they control

It did carry over to how he manages the Hamlet and their civilians and heroes, just one of the strange skills Reynauld notices he has

Sometimes I'm reminded of the fact that Dick is only canonically Romani thanks to D*vin Gr*yson and that when she wrote it she included a bunch of harmful and offensive stereotypes and then I get sad that something so good in theory was twisted into something much worse

i'll be honest the simple fact that i'm not extremely neurotic about death and dying makes like 90% of rat and rat-adj posts completely incomprehensible to me, although the specific ones implying that this must mean I am either just coping, haven't had enough experience with death/haven't actually thought enough about it or am a terrible person for this are kinda funny. a) stop assuming shit about my life but also b) i earnestly just can't bring myself to care. That's the entirety of it.

I thought it'd be fun to share the first doodles/sketches for these charms alongside the final charms themselves. Looking back on it I should've done Caer's antlers the way they are in the sketch but I think I was just so excited to even be making them that I defaulted to my usual simple/chibi antlers lol

Can't wait to debut these guys at Anime Central! I've even made some simple lil cards for them to help people get to know them.
