the sheer amount of trauma gwen has gone through compared to the other characters (that we know of) in protocol so far is crazy like in archives they were all kind of dealing with the whole worm situation in season one (martin did get locked in his flat for two weeks and the others didn’t) BUT it was still a threat they were all generally aware of and affected by. GWEN on the other hand has so far had to deal with fucking mr bonzo, learning that she might be indirectly responsible for a gruesome murder, getting chased down by a tattoo gun-wielding fear avatar-thing?? AND is now getting terrorized by [ERROR] apparently and we’re ONLY 21 episodes in. meanwhile sam celia and alice are dealing with mild anomalies like ooooh spooky cases weird drowning person magnus institute oooh!! gwen is in the TRENCHES dude give a girl a break

See the coffee is a metaphor, you understand, because Alice brings it to Sam, who she currently still has feelings for, and she brings coffee to Celia, who's Sam's love interest, therefore lowkey telling us Alice is trying to be fine with Sam falling in love with Celia, and she doesn't bring coffee for Gwen specifically, BUT when Gwen assumes Celia's coffee is for her, SAM IS THE ONE WHO TELLS HER IT IS, happily and cheerfully, implying that Sam is giving his blessing to Alice and Gwen's future relationship, something that neither Gwen and Alice are fully ready for at this point (hence their surprise, stilted gentleness to each other, and the argument starting ten seconds later). Meanwhile Celia is like "... I'm really fine with not having coffee rn it's chill" cementing that she's not here for a relationship at all, even if she does end up with Sam down the line.

i was relistening to tmagp episodes again and i was like "huh. weird that alice and lena have somewhat similar accents, but gwen has a noticeably different one. i thought they all lived in or close to manchester." but then i remembered that english accents, much like finnish dialects, can also signify class. so that's interesting

You gotta wonder how many times Gwens cures nearly killed Eda. Like, how many times did Eda almost die and end up in incredible distress only for Gwen to completely miss it/not pay attention because her daughter wasn't cured yet
Like, the way Lilith and Luz couldn't possibly understand that and why they got mad at Eda for it makes sense from their POV. Lilith never sees their mom, and Camila would never hurt Luz like that in a million years
But Eda was in the damn trenches with Gwen. If her mom could count nearly killing her as trying to cure her, no wonder Eda was cold AF and sent her mother packing
"I hope you're eating enough." And then she throws large knives at her daughter in the same episode
