Fic prompt, Young Justice era:

Robin(Tim) and Superboy break into the Fenton Ops Center after discovering a faction of the DEO that was created exclusively for dealing with ghosts.

They came across this sub-agency while combing through hacked documents after saving Greta, and found out the Department of Extranormal Operations formed the Ghost Investigation Ward and gets special ghost-hunting weapons from mad scientist inventors in a small Illinois town.

Danny (with his sharper senses) hears the break in and goes to investigate with the Fenton Creep Stick. Robbers get hired on occasion to steal inventions that aren’t patented yet. He hears movement just on the other side of the door and goes in swinging. Hits Superboy in the back and makes him stumble, which causes serious alarm from the two heroes.

“That actually almost hurt!” Superboy says in surprise, staring wide-eyed at the new kid holding a splintered baseball bat.

“You cracked the Creep Stick,” Danny stares at the bat with his mouth open. “I didn’t know it could break.”

“Rob? I think this guy has powers.”

Danny looks up, blinking in shock, “Your name is Rob? And you became a Robber? Dude. You don’t have to define yourself by what your parents named you.”

Superboy tries to hide his laughter while Robin sputters. “I’m not - They didn’t -”

“Oh!” Danny has an epiphany. “Did you name yourself that? I chose my name too, but I’m just Danny. I didn’t go and name myself after an illegal profession. Like, can you imagine if I was an arsonist named Bernie? Or a skeevy car salesman named Otto? I know it’s hard to choose a name when you’re trans, and, I gotta admit, being a robber named Rob is hilarious, but there’s more options out there, I promise. For names and career paths.”

Superboy is wheezing at this point and Robin’s face is near fuchsia. Instead of addressing any of that, Robin gets angry.

“We aren’t robbers! We’re heroes! I’m Robin. that’s Superboy. Your parents sell weapons that hurt people and we’re here to stop that!”

Danny tosses the broken Creep Stick over his shoulder and smiles wide.

“Why didn’t you say so! Oh man, this is great. I’ve been sabotaging their stuff for years. If you’re here to help I’ve got a couple projects you can definitely smash.”

A little bit more information about Crown, Milt + Marla's leanings + role in their triumvirate

It's fair to say that while Callum Crown was just a guy, Callum Crown the leader was essentially three people acting as one. By the time Crown ran for president, three people pitched in on his speeches. I'm sure I've given bits and pieces of this away in other posts, but I believe there's a few points I haven't expressed thoroughly, so I'm gonna discuss what each contributed, what they excelled at, how they saw the world and how it shaped policy.

Crown was naturally the engine of the trio. He was the guy with the grand ideas, the boundless optimist who could never accept the way things were. He always thought bigger and was never content with anything, be it his own ideas or the ideas of others. He worked himself tirelessly and saw his whole life as something that was supposed to be led exclusively in the service of mankind.

Crown saw the world kind of like a big machine and everywhere he looked, he could see imperfections that wound up slowing the machine down and harming innocent people. He felt those in power were incompetent hacks, who were only placed in their positions by circumstance, by the same hand of fate he had to overcome. Crown, of course, was born with a disability and had to invent his own prosthetic limbs in order to leave his garage. His mother never could've bought actual working prosthetics for him, given the nail-biting poverty his household faced. Crown was keenly aware that if not for his gumption and stubbornness, he never would've left his garage.

Similarly, he saw career politicians as ignorant fools who were incapable of understanding how screwed up the world was and how far the rabbit-hole descended. The zany optimism and grandiose, sweeping ideas seen in Crown's speeches were certainly his touch.

Then, we have Marla. Marla, like Crown, also had a disability and faced hurdles in her professional journey that Crown did not, being a woman in the mid-20th century. Marla, if she had been a man, would've sought higher office for herself, but knew she never would've been elected due to gender norms. This caused her to coalesce with Crown and urge him to move further on his path, seeing him as a surrogate fighter on the political stage not just for humanity, but for herself.

Crown's mayoral victory had a lot to do with her, as she interviewed Crown and wrote scathing editorials attacking Crown's opponent for his opposition to Dialtown's saviour. Marla's main focus was the pursuit of justice, a fight which she fought with even more fervor than her husband. Her main strength when writing for Crown (and delivering speeches on his behalf) was rousing feelings of indignant anger. Righteous anger directed towards those with power who would not actively use their station to fight the system. Marla was essentially an anarchist and wanted to fight and dismantle the system, something that put her at odds with her husband's plan in the end. It's easy to see why Crown fell head over heels for her.

Marla encouraged Crown to prioritize ideas that righted systematic wrongs, continue his fight for labour rights and focus on fixing systematic mistreatment of people before seeking total efficiency and technological advances (which Crown believed would benefit humanity as much as, if not more than advancing social policy first.) Though, trusting her judgement, Crown often took her cues as gospel.

The Crown 'saviour' narrative was also Marla's invention. Indeed, Crown's political career allowed her to actively help shape a better world, something that she would never have been able to do to the same extent without him. When Crown's paranoia set in and he began confiding less in her as president, leaving her to run smaller projects of her choosing and deal with the increasingly agitated press on her own, she felt this was a personal betrayal, as her opportunity to right wrongs in the world and affect policy had vanished. At this point, Crown was now solely concerned with the 'big picture', things like technology and projects like The Dialup.

Milt, unlike Crown + Marla, did not grow up in poverty and had an upper-middle class upbringing. He was university-educated and understood the middle and upper class in a way the other two could not. He saw those in power not as evil, but rather short-sighted and ill-equipped. Milt's main skill was humanizing Crown and somewhat neutering Crown and Marla's socialist rhetoric by marketing Crown not as a left-wing pro-labour candidate, but as an independent populist who would target corruption + lobbying, tackle electoral reform and stand up for the working stiff, implementing balanced (but radical) policies that would benefit ordinary Americans.

Milt emphasized Crown's humble upbringing, the adversity he'd overcome just to leave his house, alongside his sweeping success running Crown Mechanics, which made him sound like the most competent man for the job. Milt also emphasized his patriotism, writing him as a candidate who sat between both political parties, but fought for ordinary people. This is how Crown roped voters like Norm in.

Crown and Marla had some reservations about Milt's alterations to their scripts, but the 'us vs them' populist angle appealed massively to Crown, given his view on the political elite of his time, and the emphasis on the idea of fairness and the push for electoral reform pleased Marla's sense of justice. Both knew deep down that by appealing to a wider range of voters, they had a chance at winning, so Milt's suggestions were largely used.

Milt's leanings were less justice oriented than Marla's, he believed that systematic change would heal people, create a world where people were more free. This angle helped massively in winning over certain states. Like Crown (and unlike Marla), Milt too was massively interested in technology over social reform and he encouraged Crown to escalate the space race once he gained office and even helped Crown pick researchers for a project from fellow university alumnus.

Of course, Milt wound up being eventually relegated to the sidelines during Crown's presidency just as Marla was, namely over his repeated opposition to the idea of the Dialup. Crown took his inability to sell the idea to Milt as a personal failing, one he was internally hard on himself over. He was convinced that the Dialup was the ONLY way to ensure the world could be renewed, the only way to make sure that all people could be free. He felt that if he could somehow figure out the right words, find the right evidence, get the ball rolling on his own so Milt could 'see' his vision, he could convince Milt that the plan was the right call.

He didn't confide in Marla about the Dialup, fearing his enemies could torture information out of her. Given Milt's military experience, he didn't feel it could happen. It's the same reason Marla was never told the recovery code for Crown's memory deletion feature. Crown chose very poorly by not confiding more in her.

Crown's time at the UN is something I haven't talked about much, but many of his speeches during that time (one I may show off soon enough) were erratic and frankly, sounded crazy. This is due to Crown's overwork, mental strain (+ guilt) from losing Milt/Marla and naturally, losing their input from his speeches. Marla's focused indignation at the injustices of the world and Milt's humanization of Crown were now missing. There was no longer any voice other than Crown's, explaining his sweeping ideas in a way others could understand. And so, he explained his grandiose vision, depicting himself as a man who would split the heavens just as mankind had split the atoms, with no idea of how he sounded. The human element was gone. Crown was back to being the zany salesman, peddling wares that nobody else could understand the value of. Alone again, except this time, the whole world could see it.

“This town looks peaceful to an outsider, a perfect place for a pensioner to spend their free time,” Steve commented, his gaze sweeping over the quiet streets.

“I guess the Bronze Lodge is their only destination,” you replied, noting the town’s well-known resort.

He nodded. “It's a great place and helps the economy. Most locals work there.”

You glanced around, recognizing a few faces from your past. “Hmm. I see some familiar people.”

“So, you've met the homecoming queen,” Steve said, a hint of amusement in his voice.

“My number one hater,” you responded dryly.

“She will hate you even more after seeing how successful you've become,” Steve chuckled.

You nodded, and the ice between you began to melt as the conversation continued. The years apart seemed to fade as you shared updates and memories.

“Don’t you realize you're talking behind her back? Isn’t she your close friend?” you asked, raising an eyebrow.

Steve shrugged. “Not anymore. After graduation, all of us went our separate ways. Bucky went abroad to study business, Natasha pursued her modeling career, and others moved to different states.”

He sighed, reflecting on how time had changed their once-close group. As everyone grew older, they followed their own paths. But in the end, almost all of them returned to this town.

“What made me curious is Jake. I thought he would be the one to make it big since he won multiple competitions related to computers,” you said, recalling the prodigious talent he once displayed.

“Ah, Jake. He wanted to be popular so badly back then. Ironically, he got it in the worst way possible,” Steve replied with a hint of regret.

“What happened to him?” You leaned forward, intrigued by the unfolding story.

“Well… Jake got out of control with his IT skills and hacked the department of defense and he made a crypto scam.”

You gasped. “Really?” Would a guy like Jake do something like that?

“The government banned Jake from anything related to coding for a few years,” Steve explained, shaking his head.

“How did you know all of this?” you asked, impressed by his knowledge of the local gossip.

“His mother told her friend, and her friend told her hairdresser, and the hairdresser told everyone at the church,” Steve said with a wry smile.

Gossip travels fast. You almost spilled your hot jasmine tea, laughing at the absurdity. Steve quickly handed you a tissue, and you gratefully accepted it.

“Then… what do you think about Mayor Martin?” you asked, curious about the town's leadership.

Steve's expression turned serious. “I don’t trust him.”

A shiver ran down your spine at his words. Something was wrong if even someone as reserved as Steve didn’t trust the mayor.

You went home, Steve's words still lingering in your mind. You needed answers, so you decided to ask your dad about what had happened in the town since you left.

Tom sat in his favorite armchair, engrossed in a thick book. Without looking up, he replied, “There haven't been any significant changes, except for the new resort owned by the Barnes.”

“But,” he continued, his tone growing more somber, “I have noticed an increase in the number of funerals I've conducted for a single travelers.”

'Single travelers?' A cold shiver ran down your spine at his words. "Who paid for the funerals?" you asked, your voice tinged with unease.

“The town mayor, Martin, has been kind enough to pay for the funerals,” Tom added, finally lifting his gaze from the book to look at you.

Your instincts screamed that Martin’s kindness had a hidden agenda. “Don’t you ever wonder why so many tourists die in this town?” you asked, your voice tinged with suspicion.

Tom chuckled, dismissing your concerns with a wave of his hand. “Are you saying there’s a serial killer in this town? That’s impossible. The police have deemed all the deaths accidents.” He closed his book and patted your shoulder gently. “You should go to sleep. You've been working too much.”

As Tom headed to his room, you remained in the living room, deep in thought. Your father, accustomed to dealing with death, seemed numb to its frequency. But not you. The increasing number of deaths didn’t sit well with you, and the mayor’s supposed generosity felt more sinister than charitable.

Should you and your dad leave this town? The question gnawed at you as you pondered your next steps. Once a familiar haven, the town now felt shrouded in mystery and danger.

The next day, you returned to the hotel feeling renewed determination. As you walked into your office, you stopped abruptly. Once cluttered with documents and black binders, the table was completely empty. A wave of panic surged through you. Had someone stolen everything? The scene eerily reminded you of when the FBI raided your office and confiscated all your belongings.

You bolted out of the room and hurried to Bucky's office. As you approached, you heard raised voices from behind the closed door.

“You’re doubting me?” a woman exclaimed.

“At first, but now I have the evidence. Numbers don’t lie,” Bucky responded firmly.

“Hmph. I still can’t believe it. She’s only been here for a few days, and you trust her over your own mother?”

You couldn't take it anymore. You pushed the door open, making both Bucky and the woman flinch. “Are you doubting my skills?” you demanded, crossing your arms and standing confidently.

The woman turned to face you. She was Lydia Barnes, Bucky’s mother. At fifty years old, she exuded elegance and grandeur, her rich lifestyle evident in her designer clothing and impeccable grooming. She looked you up and down, her eyes narrowing.

Lydia remembered you. You used to be a shy girl who never met anyone's gaze. But now, you stood before her with unshakeable confidence. Your eyes, so full of determination, reminded her of someone she detested—your mother.

Lydia’s face hardened. “I see you've returned,” she said, her tone dripping with disdain.

“I have,” you replied, meeting her gaze steadily. “And I found discrepancies in the financial records. Someone has been embezzling money from this resort.”

Lydia's eyes flashed with anger. “How dare you accuse me?”

You maintained your calm demeanor, but your eyes locked onto hers with a sharp intensity. “I didn't accuse you, Mrs. Barnes. But why are you so defensive?” You let the question hang in the air, trying to bait her into revealing more. “It’s impossible for a business owner to steal from their own business, isn’t it?”

Lydia's face went pale for a moment before she recovered, her expression turning icy. She was momentarily stunned, clearly taken aback by your insinuation.

Bucky stepped in, his tone exasperated but calm. “Mom, we’ll discuss this later. Right now, we need to focus on the numbers and figure out what’s really going on.”

You took a step back, observing Lydia carefully. Her fists were clenched tightly at her sides, and her eyes were narrow slits of fury. She was clearly not used to being questioned, especially not in her own domain.

Lydia straightened up, regaining some of her composure. “Very well,” she said coolly. “But don’t think for a moment that I’ll let this go.”

As she turned to leave, you caught a glimpse of vulnerability in her eyes—a fleeting moment of fear that she quickly masked. It was enough to confirm your suspicions that there was more to this story than she was letting on.

Bucky let out a heavy sigh once she was gone, rubbing the back of his neck. “I’m sorry about that. She’s...complicated.”

You nodded, taking in the tension that still lingered in the air. Lydia was an odd woman, and you couldn't shake the feeling that she harbored a deep-seated dislike for you. The first time you saw her was at her husband’s funeral—Bucky's dad.

Even then, her eyes had fixed on you like a tiger eyeing its prey. You always wondered what you had done to her.

10 Reasons Why Studying is Hard

1 . You don’t know WHY

You don’t know why you have to study. You don’t know your true purpose.

Let me inform you: You have to study because this is the stage in life where you create a foundation of all the basic knowledge you need and learn all sorts of things.

In the next stage, you get to choose what career path you want to take. That is why you should think about your “WHY”.

I am studying because I want to study every day and be prepared for my exams.

2 . You don’t know HOW to study

If you are like my brother, then you don’t know how to study.

Somehow, when we join high school, nobody really teaches us how to study.

Studying involves using different tactics to understand and remember things for the future, or for exams.

You need to learn to memorize.

This is how I memorize things for my exams:

I condense my notes into a few tiny words (summarizing)

I memorize these little words by:

Writing them over and over again

Closing my eyes and remembering them

Testing myself by writing the words again

3 . You are not studying at the right time

Are you a morning person or a night person?

Do you feel energized at 10 am or 10 pm?

These are questions you need to ask yourself to learn why studying is hard for you.

You need the answers to these questions in order to actually study.

4 . You don’t study every day

Alright, you don’t have to study every day.

But that doesn’t mean you only study at 1 am the night before the exam!

That is not smart at all. How are you supposed to teach yourself 3 months-worth of work in a few caffeine-spurred hours?

Stop making studying hard! Just study a little every day.

5 . You don’t have motivation to study

You can’t study at all because you don’t motivate yourself to study.

That is sometimes an excuse because here is the secret: Action comes before motivation, not the other way round.

Stop waiting for the right moment to come down from the sky like clouds parting and the sun shining down on you.

Just open your book right now and read it.

6 . You have some bad habits

If you can’t study at all, maybe you need to study your own habits.

Get a notebook and begin to track every single thing you do in a day. I would advise tracking habits after every hour.

Then you will begin to notice that you are doing some bad habits that make studying hard for you.

7 . You can’t focus on studying

Studying is hard for you and you can’t study at all because you can’t focus on studying.

My advice for you is to sit down and ask yourself why you can’t focus on studying and find a solution to that.

8 . You don’t have fun while studying

Studying to you is probably boring work!

You need to make studying appealing and inviting so you will feel motivated to study.

9 . You don’t know any study hacks

Everyone has their own study hacks.

You probably don’t. That is why studying is hard for you.

You need come up with a personal game plan for how you plan to get good grades on your next test.

10 . You are just plain lazy

Maybe you are just lazy. Everyone gets lazy once in a while. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get off your butt right now and start studying.

Do the least you can possibly do. Open your book and plan to learn just one thing today.

Remember only you can go deep inside and find out why you can’t study or why you never feel like studying. Ask yourself these questions.

You know how MHA sometimes has a Villain AU?

Applying that to the TFP Quirk!AU, what if Jack, Raf, and Miko were young villains/ criminals in the making?

Jack using his teleport quirk for petty theft, main motivation to try and support himself and his mother.

Raf developing his hacking for cyber crimes. Motivation is out of boredom mostly and to line his account with cash for computer parts.

After having her dream of becoming a professional hero crushed Miko decides to seek fame and adventure through super villainy. She's hoping to talk the boys and Bulkhead into joining as a team to do heists together.

How would to bots react to these young humans with somewhat Decepticon-like qualities?

-Optimus is nothing but understanding with the children. He can clearly see that they are not bad people, just young and in need of some guidance. He does his best to talk with them, to be a good influence. Optimus urges Jack to talk with his mother regarding his stealing, asks Raf to use his hacking to help the autobots instead (hoping this will inspire him to forgo his criminal activities) and encourages Miko to either give being a hero another try or chose another heroic career path. He sees good in these kids and knows that as long as they are given the chance, they can do amazing things with their lives.

-Ratchet is initially annoyed by their less than legal activities. Human lives are so short compared to that of a cybertronian, he does not understand why they would waste their youth doing these kinds of things. But as he spends more time with them, gets to know them, he starts to understand that the kids have no shred of evil in them, they are just all lost in their own individual ways. Encourages them to turn their back on crime, praises them when they do well and gives them the classical "I'm not mad, just disappointed" when they relapse into criminal habits.

-Bumblebee makes it clear from the get-go that the kids should be focusing on doing good instead of being 'villains'. He's sympathetic to their reasons but refuses to indulge them. Very clearly disappointed whenever they do something bad, especially Raf since he only does cyber crimes out of general boredom. Tries to keep them distracted/entertained by taking them on trips and stuff.

-Bulkhead is visibly disappointed but also kinda saddened by the fact that they've turned towards villainy, especially Miko. He sees such potential in her, knows that she can do so much good. Encourages her to keep up her hero dream while also telling her multiple stories of how the Wreckers dealt with their own bad guys. Actually encourages her to be an illegal hero, aka a vigilante.

-Arcee is understanding but does not approve of these criminal acts. She is the most understanding with Jack since his crimes are fueled by the desire to help his mom. She sits down with him and tells him that he should talk to his mom about it, that she wouldn't want him to do this and there are other ways to make money. Encourages him to get a job and probably helps him find one as well.

I’m going to draw every single sims 3 household I have! It’s going to be very challenging since I have sooo many sims and saves (I lack self control)

The household I decided to start off with is the Moore family! It consists of the siblings Nora and Rory! They live in twinbrook with their cat lol, Here is some backstory:

Starting off with Nora! She was very outcast by her peers during her childhood and teen years. She was bullied even, because of this, she found comfort in playing various games with her father, especially chess! However after her father died. Nora went into deep depression and decided to distance herself from legit everything, Including the outside world.

She became a shut in or hikikomori that lives in her basement. She spends most of her days playing video games on her computer, or maybe even hacking. She’s basically in very deep depression, while thinking she’s too sensitive for the world. Her dreams of becoming a “chess legend” seems far away now too.

Now onto Rory. Rory is a lot more outgoing than his sister! He usually looks after Nora and tries his best to make her go outside lol. Rory is of course still grieving from his father's death, but he mostly puts up a strong front.

He also decided to continue his father's legacy by pursuing the same career path as him, which is the architect/ home designer career!

On the other hand I could also get Nora a girlfriend lol.

hello lovely anon! oh yes, i remember – i'll link the post here for anyone who's curious.

what would Matt do... or if i'm going to take the opportunity to nitpick your question, what might he want to become... i think, particularly at nineteen, he would not really have any strong goals or aspirations. i suspect he is the type of person who hyperfixates on interests temporarily and often makes his decisions based on these interests in mind. also, let's be honest, he will probably go with the easiest option available to him. in regards to the canon, i think he has a very clear opportunity to follow Mello because a) he is interested in Mello and b) being with Mello is easier than not.

however if we are considering this idea that Matt's graduated from Wammy's as a young adult with his whole life ahead of him, what he wants to do might not even be a possibility for him at this time. according to the manga timeline, he becomes an adult in 2008, and while i'm not necessarily suggesting that working on online platforms wasn't a viable career path at this time, i do struggle to imagine Matt holding down an office job, or indeed anything that requires physical exertion, instead.

i have this very daft headcanon i sometimes think about of Matt being a twitch streamer, which believe he would do with the intention to earn an extra bit of cash only to find he enjoys the community aspect more than he expected. straight out of Wammy's however? he'd probably take any minimum job he could get, even though he'd be far too overqualified, and supplement his income through questionable hacking gigs. particularly if Kira is not in the equation, i don't expect Matt would be above resorting to crime if it meant he could avoid having to work too hard.
