Happy birthday @henderdads in honour of you, the number one supporter of my Midnights collection, my go-to swiftie in my phone and because our Taylor has left my country singing this song on her last show here, enjoy.
When the morning came we were cleaning incense off your vinyl shelf
'Cause we lost track of time again
Laughing with my feet in your lap
Like you were my closest friend
"How'd we end up on the floor anyway?" You say
"Your roommate's cheap-ass screw-top rosé, that's how"
I see you every day now
“Steveeeee, your little candle died!” Eddie giggled from the other room. They’d spent the day unpacking Steve’s new apartment downtown. Well, Steve had unpacked, and Robin and Eddie had spent most of the day snooping through boxes. Robin had gone home, her parents still wary of her staying out after dark, Starcourt only a few months ago.
“Little candle? Oh, the incense,” Steve said coming into the room to see Eddie on the floor. He wiped off the little pile of ash and plopped down next to Eddie, stretching his legs over him. “Share that you gremlin, Robin bought that for my housewarming!” Steve reached over Eddie to grab the bottle of wine Robin’s mum sent with her.
“It’s too bad Robbie can’t live here with you, I don’t want you being all lonely,” Eddie pouted looking over at him.
Steve took a big gulp of the tangy wine, “You could always move in?”
“You wouldn’t get sick of me?”
“Nah, sounds nice seeing you every day.”
“Ok, Stevie, I’ll tell Wayne tomorrow, now gimme that bottle, roomies gotta share!”
And I chose you
The one I was dancin' with
In New York, no shoes
Looked up at the sky and it was
Living with Eddie was easy, it was nice having someone to come home to. The kids liked him too, winning them over with Hellfire and nerdy movie nights. Sitting on a bathroom floor with Robin figuring out why he got butterflies every time Eddie smiled wasn’t as easy but it felt healing.
“We should go out!” Eddie had said when Steve came out to him, blushing hard before Eddie continued. “Robbie looks too young to join me when I go to this gay bar in Indy but I bet they’ll look the other way for you, sweetheart.”
That’s how Steve found himself twirling around a brightly lit dancefloor that Friday, boys with boys and girls with girls around him and he felt light and free. Eddie never left his side, his scary dog energy scaring off any guys that might’ve asked Steve to dance but Steve didn’t mind, maybe it meant Eddie would keep dancing with him.
They stumbled down the road together, planning to sleep the night off in the van and drive home in the morning. Steve giggled looking up, the morning sun had begun peaking over the horizon, it’s colours dancing through him matching the warmth he felt in his heart.
The burgundy on my T-shirt when you splashed your wine into me
And how the blood rushed into my cheeks, so scarlet, it was
The mark you saw on my collarbone, the rust that grew between telephones
The lips I used to call home, so scarlet, it was maroon
After that night the boys felt closer than ever. It was no surprise when they ended up on the living room floor again, a bottle of cheap red wine between them. Laughter filled their home in a way it never did in Steve’s house growing up. Eddie threw his hands around as he spoke, inevitably spilling the wine on them, narrowly missing the carpet.
“Oh shit, sorry Steve!” Eddie said following Steve to the bathroom. For a brief moment, Steve thought of another stain in another bathroom, but as he turned towards Eddie all thoughts of that night left him. Eddie gently tried to get out the stain from the ruined shirt. Steve couldn’t help it, blame it on the wine, blame it on the location, but he reached out grabbing Eddie’s shirt and tugging him forward.
Their lips meeting, Steve tasted the wine and cigarettes they shared. He pulled back slowly, hoping he hadn’t ruined everything. He didn’t have to worry long as Eddie quickly pulled him back, meeting his lips again.
When the silence came, we were shaking blind and hazy
How the hell did we lose sight of us again?
Sobbin' with your head in your hands
Ain't that the way shit always ends?
It’s not always easy living with the person you care about most. November brought more nightmares, dreams he couldn’t explain to Eddie, wanting to keep him far away from the hell beneath them. He had to blame his screams for Robin on a fire and not the longest night of his life.
“Why won’t you talk to me, Stevie!”
“Because I can’t!”
“Why not!”
“I’m trying to protect you!”
Steve felt the slam of the door cut through him. For the first time in a long time, they sleep in separate beds.
You were standin' hollow-eyed in the hallway
Carnations you had thought were roses, that's us
I feel you no matter what
Steve came home a few days later to Eddie waiting at their door. Pink carnations held tightly in his hand, his teary eyes and flushed cheeks made Steve’s heart ache. Eddie looked up as he heard Steve approach, his voice cracking as he said his name.
The rubies that I gave up
“I’m sorry, Stevie. I shouldn’t have left, I was just worried about you.”
Steve gently took the flowers and Eddie’s hand, “I want to tell you, I just can’t and I need you to trust me, Eds.”
Eddie nodded and Steve unlocked their door leading them both inside. “You know, I love carnations,” Steve said giving Eddie a soft smile going to the kitchen to get them water.
Eddie laughed softly, “I thought they were roses, they just looked pretty and reminded me of you.”
Steve smiled, he thought about how his dad would always try and win his mother’s forgiveness with money and jewels, he liked this better.
And I lost you
The one I was dancin' with
In New York, no shoes
Looked up at the sky and it was maroon
No matter how hard Steve tried to protect the people he loved, they always seemed to get dragged into it. Steve never wanted to see Eddie as terrified as he did in that boathouse. He wishes he’d gone with Eddie that night after the game, but he’d promised Lucas that he’d drive him to the after-party. He didn’t even know Eddie was still dealing.
“Don’t be a hero,” he’d said, but now Eddie was bleeding in his arms. Dark red blood seeping into their shirts like the wine did all those months ago. Eddie’s eyes slipped closed on the drive to the hospital.
The burgundy on my T-shirt when you splashed your wine into me
And how the blood rushed into my cheeks, so scarlet, it was (maroon)
The mark you saw on my collarbone, the rust that grew between telephones
The lips I used to call home, so scarlet, it was (maroon)
Everywhere Steve looked he saw red. He refused to leave the hospital until Eddie was out of surgery. Robin had dragged him to the bathroom, forcing him to wash the blood that coated his arms down the drain. She’d left to get him a change of clothes, leaving him to sit on the hard chairs in the waiting room.
The cushions a bright red, the blood a muddy maroon under his nails, his shirt stained a deep scarlet, the smell of rust and iron coming off of him, a crimson sky behind his eyes.
And I wake with your memory over me
That's a real fucking legacy, legacy (it was maroon)
And I wake with your memory over me
That's a real fucking legacy to leave
Steve doesn’t remember when he sat down beside Eddie’s bedside. He just remembers a teary phone call to Wayne and seeing Eddie still breathing. Wayne had to go to work, Steve didn’t have anywhere to be since Family Video sunk into the earth with half the town. Pink carnations in a vase at his bedside.
“I told you not to be a hero, Eds.”
The brief bouts of sleep he got leant over Eddie or curled up in his chair were plagued with losing Eddie over and over. Til one night he dreams of them back in their apartment, lying on their floor, Eddie’s fingers brushing through his hair. He wakes, still feeling the edges of his dream, fingers still in his hair. He glances up and meets warm brown eyes.
“Eds, you’re awake!”
“Sorry I tried being a hero, Stevie, I should’ve trusted you.”
The burgundy on my T-shirt when you splashed your wine into me
And how the blood rushed into my cheeks, so scarlet (it was maroon)
The mark you saw on my collarbone, the rust that grew between telephones
The lips I used to call home, so scarlet (it was maroon)
The day Eddie comes home, a town rebuilt, Steve swears the sky is the same pink it was that night in Indianapolis. He helps Eddie up the stairs, opening the door, the apartment just how they left it. The warm burgundy blanket on their ruby couch. A bottle of red wine on the counter, cherry wood cabinets and chestnut floors. A soft blush on both their faces as they lay down on the scarlet sheets of their bed. Merlot on their lips as their sucked soft wine-coloured bruises, taking back their love from months so close yet so far apart.
It was maroon
It was maroon
Steve would wake later, lips bit rough and maroon and thank the world that life didn’t end under a blood-red sky.

"Happy Birthday, Cassidy."
Wyndon was a beautiful city. The city skyline painted in neon hues shone against the rugged landscape, a beacon of light at the region’s most northern point. Old and antiquarian meshed with modern and technical in a brilliant display of progress, Victorian architecture adorned with flashing screens selling this and that. Rose Tower- was that still the name? Cass wasn’t good with things like that- stood as the centerpiece, the epicenter, the Wyndon’s Eye spinning around lazily a good distance away.
Good weather had graced the city this evening. The navy blue sky was clear of clouds, letting the sliver of silver moon pour onto the streets as starlight blinked overhead. A cold wind blew, bringing the scent of smoke and coffee.
Cass leaned against her hotel room’s balcony railing, drinking in the atmosphere. Valentine hovered beside her, tugging at her scarf as the cold wind cut into her. The rest of her Pokémon were watching some soap opera on TV back inside the room. Judging by Chime’s high-pitched wailing, it was pretty melodramatic.
Cass sighed and rubbed her eyes. A slice of cake in a plastic box rested precariously on the railing beside her, one errant movement from falling ten stories onto the pavement below.
“Twenty-four…” she muttered. Ignoring how her teeth were starting to chatter, she picked up the box and pried it open. “Can’t believe it.”
A year ago, she had stumbled into Freezington’s Center with a heart too big and a head too empty. With dreams and goals too extravagant for a tiny Center in the middle of nowhere.
Now look at her.
You’d be hard pressed to find a difference, honestly.
“No northern lights tonight,” Cass remarked quietly, picking up the plastic fork. "I'd try clapping, but...eh."
“Bom?” Val leaned over with a frown.
Cass craned her neck skyward and stared into the speckled abyss beyond. She was tired. So very tired. Making a mad-dash around the region took a lot out of you.
But it’s the perfect birthday gift.
The best one she could’ve given herself, at least.
Cass smiled, digging into her cake and holding the fork to her mouth.
Happy Birthday, me.
And then she took a bite.
...
It was dry. The frosting was so sweet it nearly made her sick. It tasted like fake Cheri berries and nothing more.
It wasn't half bad.
(That night, after Cass had split her cake with everyone who wanted a piece and bawled her eyes out over a soap opera, Lumi found themselves the only one left awake.)
(They were the only one who noticed Cass’ phone buzzing with message after message, missed call after missed call. All from the same person, no doubt.)
(They were the only one who heard the hubbub of the city street below.)
(And they were the only one who saw how the sky sung with light in beautiful bands of green and blue.)
(They made sure to commit it to memory.)

happy bday! can i request a kurt wagner x batsis?
THANKS ANON! sorry it took so long to write 😓
Awkward first meetings
SUMMARY: When Bruce Wayne finds out his daughter is dating, he demands to meet them. What he doesn't expect is a mutant that looks like, well... a blue demon.
TW: slight mutant slander, body image issues (for kurt this is being blue and stuff), language, use of she/her/hers pronouns, use of Y/N, overprotective batfam.
A/N: batsis's vigilante name is nightingale
Tumblr media
"So what's his name again?"
Y/N sighed. Her family would never let this go, would they?
"I told you a thousand times, Dick, it's Kurt."
Dick frowned.
"Kurt what?"
"You'll find out, I'm not having you do a background check on my boyfriend!" She said, annoyed.
"Why are you so against it?" Jason asked. "If he was a good, normal person, then it wouldn't do any harm. Unless there's something that you want to keep from us."
"I won't tell you, and besides, he'll let you know when he'd ready. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go change my clothes."
Y/N Wayne and Kurt Wagner met about four months ago. She'd finally gotten to meet with her friend, Jean, and was surprised to find that she would finally get to meet the group of people that Jean talked about so much. They consisted of Jean's boyfriend Scott, two girls named Ororo and Jubilee, and three boys: Peter, Warren, and Kurt. He'd asked her out on a date after that, and the rest was history.
Y/N sighed, and put on her sweater. Most likely her brothers would do nothing less than interrogate Kurt.
Suddenly her phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Y/N. Vat do I do? Do you just vant me to come and Bamf to your door?" Kurt asked.
She sighed.
"Listen, Blue, if you wanna then go for it. I mean... they'll find out tonight at dinner anyway."
"Alright." Y/N heard a familiar teleporting noise and then a voice.
"Here goes notzing."
_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
She heard a bell ring throughout the house, then came downstairs.
Y/N sighed. Hopefully her family wouldn't be stunned.
"Hey, Kurt."
The blue mutant grinned, and then walked up to her.
"Za professor vas a vittle against me coming here, but Jean convinced him," Kurt said.
"Eh, if I needed to I could just bribe him," she said flippantly. Her boyfriend chuckled, then looked at her brothers, who seemed... unsurprised, to be honest.
Jason was the first to speak.
"Of course Y/N/N goes for the metas," he said, laughing.
"Tt, wouldn't he know? F-Batman has a rule against metahumans," Damian said, frowning at the mutant.
"I'm...not a metahuman," Kurt said, looking at them.
"What are you, then?" Steph asked.
"A mutant."
"Look, it doesn't matter, because now he's here, and we can do introductions. Kurt, this is Babs, Dick, Jason, Cass, Steph, Tim, Duke, and Damian. Idiots minus Cass, this is Kurt," Y/N said, motioning to each Bat as she spoke. "And the person you met at the door is Alfred, he's basically our grandpa."
"It's nice to veet you all," Kurt said, smiling nervously.
"Where are you from?" Dick asked.
"Germany."
"Cool, I'm from Romania," he said.
The awkward silence returned, and they were all grateful that Alfred came in before it got too...weird.
"Master Bruce is here, and dinner is finished cooking, so please make your way into the dining room soon."
_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
A/N: I literally butchered his accent smh ToT
thanks for the request! sorry it was so short!

Anonymous: Hello, is it alright for me to add a dabble request for Cass's long lost child au? It's a mix of fluff and angst really. Cass realized Y/n's birthday was coming up very soon and wanted to surprise her baby with a party at House Dimitrescu, so she had them spend half the day with their great-grandmother Miranda helping around her lab or something (nothing crazy). But Y/n wasn't really fond of their own Bday (due to their past trauma) and had mixed feelings over it when they were surprised. Like Y/n tried to stay and celebrate it with their family, but felt almost depressed about the situation.. (And not wanting to hurt their mom's feelings because they aren't blaming her about it at all) somehow slipped away from the party while everyone was having a good time, and hid in the family library, with some tears in their eyes.. Someone probably at some point told Cass that Y/n was gone.. Potentially had a search party but someone (probably Cass) found them.. a lot of comfort, explaining and apologizing happened that night.. but there is no bad ending really. I hope this is okay, and I hope your doing alright.
Thank you for such an awesome prompt! I hate my fucking birthday too. I have a lot of bad memories around them. Let’s get into it!
Ever since you reunited with Cass, she was so excited to celebrate your birthday with you. She’d been secretly getting you presents throughout the year and was very eager for you to see what she had gotten you.
Cass had not let on that she knew your birthday was rapidly approaching, hoping to surprise you, but she did wonder why you had not tried dropping little hints about it. She chalked it up to you not wanting to be a bother, but you were going to have an amazing birthday whether you realized it or not. She would not fail.
On the morning of your birthday, you still hadn’t said anything which somewhat concerned her, but she had thought up a great way to get you out of the castle for a few hours while she got everything ready for your party. She had asked for Mother Miranda to keep you occupied with her in the lab for the day, which the scientist was all too happy to do.
You hugged your mom and she kissed you before you left.
Cass and Alcina had collaborated on themes and they settled on things they knew you would like.
Dani was in charge of invitations, but… She had gone a bit overboard and invited pretty much everyone in the village. It was going to be packed, but hopefully very fun.
Bela and Karl set out chairs and tables, while Donna had made delicious foods and pastries to serve. She loved you so much and insisted on making all of the refreshments.
Sal worked on setting up lots of decorations he had made himself. He was very happy to be celebrating your birthday. You and him had gotten pretty close as well.
By the time everyone has finished with the set-up and all the guests have arrived, Cass goes to retrieve you from Mother Miranda’s house and bring you back to the castle.
You smile when you answer the door and see your mom.
“Hi, baby. Did you have fun with Mother Miranda?” She asks and kisses your forehead.
You grin at her and nod before saying goodbye to Miranda.
Cass takes your hand and excitedly talks with you as you both make your way back.
Cass opens the castle doors and gestures for you to go inside.
“Why’s it so dark?” You question.
Suddenly, the lights are switched on and the room comes to life. People cheer before wishing you a happy birthday.
You feel your heart drop. You thought that if you didn’t call any attention to it you would be able to get out of celebrating your birthday, but no such luck.
Cass gives you a big hug. “Happy birthday, baby. I hope you love your party.” She says happily.
You feel so guilty. This is your worst nightmare. You thank her and try to seem excited. You can’t stand the thought of her knowing that you don’t like something she put so much work into. It’s not her fault you hate your birthday.
People come up and congratulate you and Cass makes her way over to her sisters and mother to give you some space to talk and mingle.
“Aww, Y/N’s so happy!” Dani squeals as she looks at you. Little does she know how good you are at hiding your emotions… For a time at least.
“I’m so glad we can finally be together again… Y/N’s home.” Cass says, feeling herself tear up.
Alcina chuckles and hugs her daughter. “This is a good night to celebrate.” She tells her.
You are feeling overwhelmed after only a short amount of time. You need a break. You can feel it becoming hard to breathe and you quickly excuse yourself from the group of people talking to you.
Cass and your family are enjoying themselves and don’t notice you leave at first.
You run to the library and shut the doors, hoping to muffle the noise.
You’re beginning to shake and sweat. Oh no. You feel a panic attack coming on. You try to even out your breathing, but you feel like you can’t get enough air.
You curl up in a corner and wrap your arms around yourself. You sob and can’t seem to find a way to calm down.
A little bit after you have been gone, someone asks where you are. “Hey, where’s Y/N?” They inquire.
People turn to try and locate you but no one has any luck.
Bela hears that you’re missing and goes to find Cass. “Do you know where Y/N is?” She asks.
Cass furrows her eyebrows. “I- No. They’re gone?” She questions.
Bela nods.
Fear sets in for Cass. Where could you be? Weren’t you having fun? “I’ll find them.” She says with worry and swarms off. Cass can always find you fairly quickly… And tonight is no exception.
Cass senses your presence in the library. What are you doing here?
She pushes open the door and the sight she sees breaks her heart.
You look so little and scared as you cry and rock yourself.
“Baby…” Cass says and comes closer before kneeling down in front of you.
You try to turn away to hide your face, but Cass gently guides you to look at her.
“What’s wrong, Y/N?” She asks softly.
You hate that you’ve ruined everything. “I-I’m f-fine. Just getting s-some air.” You try to say.
Cass chuckles sadly at your attempt to downplay the situation. “It’s okay, Y/N. Tell me what’s going on, little one.” She says and sits down before pulling you into her lap.
You lie your head on her chest and enjoy the feeling of her rubbing your back. “I… Hate my birthday.” You admit.
Cass’s ministrations stop in alarm. “What?” She asks and looks at you, completely surprised.
“They were always… Miserable.” You say, reliving the trauma of your abusive adoptive family. You tell Cass about some of the awful things that happened on your birthday. “I… It’s just… I never want to celebrate it again. I’m sorry, I should have told you, mom.” You whisper and begin crying once more.
Cass is… Devastated. Not about you hating the party she threw, but at how you were treated growing up. That was the last thing she wanted for you. She feels so guilty. Her poor baby was suffering for years… And she had absolutely no idea.
A steely resolve overtakes her features. Those people would pay for what they did to her child. However, her baby needed her right now. She runs her fingers through your hair, gently rocking you and whispering reassurances in your ear.
Eventually, you begin to doze off from Cass’s actions.
Cass is relieved that you are able to fall asleep. She carefully picks you up and carries you to your room before tucking you in and kissing your head. “Mommy will be right back, baby.” She says quietly.
Cass returns to the party and tells Alcina what happened. The matriarch gasps at the horrors her grandchild had been through. She is very mad at your adoptive family, but she takes a deep breath before she gracefully ends the party. She tells everyone that you are not feeling well. It’s not a lie…
Partygoers groan but eventually leave.
Cass apologizes to the family, but they all assure her that they just want you to be happy. They begin to clean up and Alcina tells Cass to go and be with you.
Cass slips back into your bedroom and lies down next to you on the bed.
In your sleep, you instinctively move closer to her and she wraps her arm around you.
“I love you so much, Y/N. I’m with you.” She tells you and kisses your cheek.
Maybe you could learn to like your birthday if you always got to spend them with your mom…
Note: That was sad, but I know lots of trans and queer people hate their birthdays because of trauma (I know I do). I hope this brings a little comfort to those of you who need it.

Slytherin Quidditch Team Captain Marcus Flint
Aka Marcus' history of playing Quidditch (and teeny tiny flintwood ok)
Marcus loved Quidditch since he can remember. His parents were opposed to him wasting time by playing dumb sports but it motivated Marcus a lot so they started using it. You know, if he did great in homeschooling, he could have played. If he went to a banquet and behaved, he could have gone to a Quidditch game. He was a huge Montrose Magpies fan since he was 5.
Terence gave him a little figurine for his 9th bday (it was the day Marcus first considered him his best friend) like those which shake heads but it was a Quidditch player on a broom, shaking on a stand like it was flying. Later they painted it together so it was dressed in a Montrose tee
***
After he went to Hogwarts, he knew he would be playing his house team and was mad he couldn't take part in tryouts in his first year. Marcus and Terence participated in the tryouts next year. Marcus made it to the first team and Terence to reserve.
The third and fourth years were the absolute worst for Marcus. He struggled with his self-esteem, the relationship with his parents was getting worse and worse, he was doing badly at school. Most of his self-validation came from Quidditch's successes. It was also a peak at his hatred towards Wood. He saw Wood as the better version of himself, good at quidditch but also handsome, liked by everyone, at least average student. And Wood was a great rival but back then Marcus didn't respect that, he was losing against Wood which stole the only crumbs of self-validation he had. It was easier to direct that hate to Wood instead of admitting he hate himself.
***
Marcus became the captain in his 5th year. He was getting better mentally and it was huge for him as well, he felt appreciated, actually good at something. Marcus made a fucking revolution in the team. The last captain kept his players and friends even if they were worse. It made Marcus furious and he argued about that multiple times to the point he was benched. He wasn't selected by the last captain to take on his role, Snape chose him.
Marcus held tryouts even for occupied positions, arguing they shouldn't be worried if they were so good. Montague, Derrick, and Adrian made it to the first team, Lucian had been on reserve before and promoted. Cass stayed in the reserve team and Miles was added to it. Basically whole-ass revolution. The only players that stayed were Terence as a seeker, the keeper who ended Hogwarts a year later and was replaced with Miles, and Marcus obviously.
The Team started existing and ruining rivals' dreams.
Marcus was in his 6th year when Falmouth Falcons contacted him with a possible offer. It was also a year he started respecting Wood. Sixteen years old Marcus' self-esteem was almost good and he didn't hate himself anymore. It affected his opinion of Wood. Marcus became glad that Wood was there. Great rival meant great challenges and skill development to be better than him. But also, Marcus felt like Oliver would understand him. They didn't talk at all but Flint thought they were really similar with their ambitions and passion. Wood would understand the sacrifices Marcus made for Quidditch because he did the same.
In his 7th year, Montrose Magpies contacted him. It would be a dream come true for little Marcus but 17 yo Marcus panicked. He knew he should feel happy and fulfilled but what he felt were anxiety and doubts. He wasn't sure if that's what he wants to dedicate his life to. He was afraid of sacrifices, injuries and lifestyle that came with a quidditch career. But mostly, losing that pure happiness from playing. And he wouldn't want to life without it.
When he failed his Potions exam a lot happened. Getting disowned and kicked out of the home, repeating his 7th year... Marcus had more time to think about it all. He became sure he wouldn't start a quidditch career. One day, Oliver Wood started randomly screaming at him. He genuinely didn't know what's going on, his relationship with Wood got better, he didn't remember doing anything that could anger the guy. "What the bloody fuck you mean you won't go professional?! It was supposed to be me versus you, against each other in England Cup".
Marcus had no idea how that information got to Wood but he found himself smiling at the outburst.
"Oh, you want me in your future, Ollie?"
Oliver got all red but didn't answer this, instead, he continued screaming.
"I am sure you did have at least one offer, what's wrong with you?!"
"You're sure? Why?" If Oliver didn't answer him, he didn't have to do it as well.
Oliver suddenly stopped in his movement.
"Because you're great, you know this, right? " he furrowed his eyebrows "There's not a chance no one contacted you."
Marcus was taken aback. His relationship with Wood did get better but he didn't expect compliments.
"Thank you" he stopped for a second but added "Oliver, you better kick some asses in the league. In a few years I want to be able to brag about scoring against the big star Oliver Wood, yeah?"
***
Marcus settled in muggle London. Got his shit together, started working in a tattoo studio, finally asked Oliver Wood out, still loved Quidditch, played a lot for fun, and watched most of the matches. He cheered his boyfriend during all his matches other than those against Montrose Magpies.
And life was good.
Life update, I did find a work. It's my first week now so I still don't really know how I feel about it and if I actually am capable of doing this shit. But life is life, nothing I can't handle and if it is something I can't handle that's okay, worst think that can happen is getting kicked out
