so this is a redraw of my shipebrero back in 2022 for loiyorrr and it got a lot of notes so I promised to myself to redraw it! BUT THEN ART BLOCK AND COUNTLESS RESPONSIBILITIES LEADING ME TO RUIN GRRR- So I tried to redraw... THEN MY LAPTOP LOST ALL ITS FILES!?!??!?!?! FROM ACADS, PERSONAL FILES......AND W I Ps

BUT I HAD A SLIVER OF HOPE! I ACTUALLY INCLUDED THE WIP IN MY PORTFOLIO FOR COLLEGE ADMISSION! (yes i included a very intense ship work in progress fanart to apply for my education what of it hsjfhds) SO IT WAS STILL IN CANVA, the bad news tho I only used the screenshot because the file was too big so the pic was bad quality huhu... so I went to "make ur png more hd" websites so that's probably why the 2nd pic would look kinda ai generated (vomits)

so it all started from there! I repainted the whole thing with the foundation I've redrawn and I hope the lessons I got from being a Fine Arts freshman rn paid off HAHAHA

HAPPY VALENTINE’S!

summary — in which your athlete boyfriend decided to take a day off from practice on the day before his big game, to spend valentine’s day with you, the most special person in his life.

author’s note my very very very late valentine’s day post <3 isn’t the best but it works ><

you were expecting an empty space beside you as you awoke at 7 am in the morning. to see your boyfriend’s arms draped over your waist surprised and confused you.

you wondered if he accidentally slept in.

oh, shit! did he? he’s gonna get an earful from his coach when he gets there..

you shake him awake “rin? love, wake up.”

he stirs awake.. a bit. well, progress.

“you’re late for practice,” you told him. he rubs his eyes as he gets adjusted to the light from your bedroom’s window. your eyes softened while watching him do the things people do on a daily basis but something about watching him do it makes you melt.

he just looks so cute doing normal habits. you already came to a conclusion that you were a simp for your own boyfriend — and it didn’t even bother you.

you are so in love with him. it hurts. you could only hope he feels the same way.

and well, little did you know — he does. even more. he feels more love than what you feel for him.

he fell first. you fell harder. he fell even harder.

when he finally opens his eyes, you smile at him. “hi, good morning. you’re late for practice,” you chuckled mid-sentence.

your hands find its way to his hair as you pushed back his bangs to kiss his forehead. he closes his eyes and exhaled softly.

he feels so much love for you — it makes him want to cry sometimes because he has not never felt this much love in his entire life. and he’s damn sure he would never let anyone take this love he’s feeling from you away.

you two were a thing ever since high school, and now you two are both adults working for a stable life. you two have come a long way in life, and will continue to strive life’s obstacles together.

and he vowed he would always be yours.

“what’re you thinking about?” you asked him when you saw him stare at you. his eyes were soft, full of love and comfort.

he smiles, “just how much i love you.”

you snorted, “well stop thinking about me and get ready. your coach is gonna make you run laps and i’m gonna have to massage your back again because you’re not going to stop bitching about how sore they are,” you joked.

he wrapped his arms around you and pulled you closer to his chest. “you like it when you massage me. don’t deny, babe,” he nudged his face onto your waist.

your hands fiddled with his hair as he continued to rub his face onto your waist. “i have to make breakfast, let go.” he simply just shook his head and tightened his hold on you.

“it’s valentine’s day, baby. let’s stay in bed longer,” he murmured.

so, that’s why he got a day off? for valentine’s day?

“you got a day off to spend valentine’s day for me?” you teased. “the suna rintaro is going soft for me, it seems.”

you could feel his smile as he raised his head to speak his mind. you were expecting a snarky remark but he said, “i did. wanted to spend the day of love with my girl,” he gives a toothy smile when he sees you roll your eyes.

“that’s so cheesy, let go of me,” you said. he went back to his previous position — his face squished against your waist while his limbs were tangled with yours.

the cold temperature from your air conditioning unit while the sunlight peaks through the blinds makes you want to give in to your boyfriend’s wants and stay in bed a little longer.

and boy, did you give in.

you fixed your position and pulled rintaro’s head closer to your chest as he snuggles around your body. you kiss his forehead again before squishing your cheek onto the top of his head.

this is home, you figured.

Valentine’s Gift

Floyd Leech x Reader

You stare at the tooth in your hands. It’s the first time you’ve ever received such a thing. Especially for Valentine’s Day.

“Guys,” you say thoughtfully, “what am I supposed to do with this?”

Ace takes a look over your shoulder and immediately blanches. He slams your hands shut like they’re the shell of a clam, tightly sealing it away from his gaze.

“Ew, gross! A tooth? It’s even got a bit of gum still attached!”

Deuce puts his hand on his chin. “What kind of tooth is it?”

“Apparently an orca?” You want to open your hands to take another look at it, but Ace firmly presses them closed. “Dude, are you squeamish?”

“What, me? No way, nuh-uh.” He vehemently shakes his head, looking up to the sky and laughing in a strained sort of way. “There’s no way I’d be squeamish about a tooth.”

“At least there’s no blood, right?” Deuce tries to get a look, only for Ace to shove him aside. He scowls and shoves back. “Losing teeth fills your mouth with blood, it’s pretty gross. Er, not that I would know from experience!”

Ace and Deuce dissolve into their own bubble as they quarrel. You ignore them and open your fingers back up to reveal the tooth. It’s almost the length of your hand. Much bigger than you thought. Maybe they only seem small because orcas are big, dwarfing them in comparison.

“They sure are kickin’ up a fuss about nothing. You can’t even eat that.” Grim grumbles, rubbing his belly. “Don’t people usually give chocolate or something? I was hoping to eat something real tasty.”

Typical for a cat that only thinks about food. Even if you received chocolate, you certainly wouldn’t give him any, since they’re from that person. You wonder about the reason behind the tooth in particular. To be honest, you should have expected this. It’s ridiculous to think Floyd would follow the usual conventions on anything, let alone gift-giving on Valentine’s Day.

He sought you out earlier and loudly proclaimed he had something for you. He plopped next to you in the cafeteria, pressed the tooth in your hand while explaining how much fun he had wrestling an orca, hugged you near suffocation, and went on his merry way. Like a summer storm. You didn’t even get the chance to give him the chocolates in your bag.

You look out the window, drowning out the sounds of Ace and Deuce’s insults and Grim’s griping. At this time of day, Floyd’s probably working a shift at the Lounge. You’ll visit him later with the chocolates in hand. Maybe you’ll make him wait for it. He’s so terrible at being patient, so you might have to run around the Lounge’s tables, laughing as he tries to swipe them from you. Then, when he finally eats them, you’ll be sure to tell him how flattered you are to have received the tooth.

A blush settles on your cheeks as your gaze turns dreamy. You hope he’ll compliment your chocolates. After all, you spent a good few hours last night to make sure they’re perfect. Floyd went through all that effort to get you an orca’s tooth, so your gift certainly can’t be lacking!

“Just listen!” Mike yelps.
