Oh great. The bloody kudos-bot is back. Just what I needed. Not like I have masses of anxiety around that or anything.

(For those who don't know, from what I understand, some kind of dumb scraper bot occasionally bumbles its way into Ao3 to click every link it can find. Because the kudos button is not an exit-point from the page, it then gets stuck, increasing the kudos count over and over again. The tell is kudos going up without any corresponding increase in hits. The only cure I've found is switching the fic to private until the damn thing times itself out, usually after a couple of days.)

Anyway, the archived version of 'Falling for a Fool' on A03 will now be invisible to non-users for a couple of days.

It only moves when you can’t see it. Blinking, looking away, etc. It can move it’s body any way it wants. It came after the player in my dreams while they were in a vent above it, and it didn’t make it to them bc we kept moving but I know the vent grate wouldn’t have protected us in the slightest.

It leaves like....residue on stuff around it. Black slimy shit that kinda seems to act like ferrofluid, even though it wasn’t on any magnets.

also when it moves it makes a sort of gravelly sighing sound. Like No Face what whatever its name was from Spirited Away. maybe they’re related but at least we can see No Face move

i feel like a lot of the 'i hate kids' crowd would be more tolerant if they understood that due to a kid's limited experience of the world that 4 hour flight might just be the longest they've ever had to sit still for or that trapped finger might literally be the most pain they've ever felt in their short life or they might not have ever seen a person with pink hair ever so of course they want to touch it or nobody's told them yet that they can't run around the museum and they only just learned cheetahs are the fastest animals so of course they want to put that to the test. how were they supposed to know etc etc.
