Before Yoohyun even opens his door, Junhwan’s raising his head, ears flicking. Yoohyun eyes him; while he can’t hear anything himself, Junhwan’s ears are still sharper, so he trusts him—but whatever emotion his daemon is feeling, it isn’t alarm. If anything, it reads as pleased surprise.

Yoohyun opens the door to hyung’s laughter and understands immediately. His and Junhwan’s footsteps are cat-light as they enter their house, padding silently through the living room towards… Is the sound coming from the Horned Flame Lion’s enclosure? Yoohyun’s told hyung not to go in there unsupervised for a while! …But hearing him still laughing like that, he can’t be too angry. Not when the little beast has apparently managed to achieve what he hasn’t in the last two days. A curl of jealousy flares inside him, Junhwan’s lips pulling back to bare his teeth in the start of a growl as he presumably arrives at the same thought, but then there’s a soft, breathless giggle-snort from noona and that-

That makes them both very quiet.

They slow down as they get closer. Hyung isn’t immediately visible through the glass walls of the enclosure; Yoohyun dares to get closer, keeping to the side with some of the thicker foliage, and peers through the gaps.

Ah. There. Hyung’s lying on his side on the soft grass, the Lion perched on his hip and staring wide-eyed at… Noona, who’s up on a tree?

Yoohyun doesn’t understand. What’s so funny? He squints at the Lion, who’s doing… a grand total of precisely nothing. It’s just staring at noona and swishing its tail back and forth, the tip occasionally flicking over hyung’s side. Is it tickling him? But hyung isn’t ticklish, as far as he remembers… And even if he was, what’s noona laughing about? She’s halfway up one of the trees—Yoohyun takes a heart-stopping second to study it and make sure it’s not a Gillotinae, even though he knows objectively that she wouldn’t be stupid enough to get close to those—and peering down at hyung, wearing a silly smile.

She shifts as he watches, turning to jump across to another tree close by and scrambling up its branches. “Reckless,” Junhwan mumbles almost inaudibly, and Yoohyun agrees. There’s something almost childish about the fumbling, uncontrolled way in which she climbs. Like she’s not used to all her limbs being where they are. He remembers it from back when she’d first settled—for two weeks after that, Yoohyun and Junhwan had watched her jump off high spots and panic because she’d forgotten she couldn’t fly. (She was a cat, she’d always landed on her feet, of course, but that hadn’t stopped Junhwan from moving to catch her. Just in case.)

She’s climbing really high right now, actually. Yoohyun frowns as she clambers to the top of one particularly tall tree. Shouldn’t that be stretching their distance limit? Even if hyung’s Awakened now? She barely seems to notice, and the same goes for hyung, who continues lying there, watching her affectionately. Noona crawls out to the edge of the branch closest to hyung, peeks down at him, then hunches down and—

Her feet lift off the branch. Yoohyun and Junhwan lunge for the door. There’s rustling of cloth and grass and fur and creaking hinges and then—

And then, Yoohyun and Junhwan are staring at hyung lying on his back on the ground, noona pillowed safely on his chest and the Lion on his knees, all three of them staring back.

“Yoohyun-ah?” Hyung sits up, noona hopping up to his shoulders and winding around his neck. “What’s going on?”

“Nothing,” Yoohyun blurts. It was only in case— “Nothing. Are you okay?”

“I… Yes…?”

“Okay.” Yoohyun nods quickly. “Good.”

There’s words at the tip of his tongue—be careful, didn’t that pull hurt, why are you in here when I said—but he never gets to say any of them, because noona narrows her eyes at Junhwan and says, “Well, in that case, let them talk, I-wanna-play-tag-you’re-it!” and flings herself at him.

Junhwan bolts entirely on 17 years’ worth of reflex, and noona chases him in circles around them, yowling when he goes too far from hyung for her to follow. Hyung snorts when Junhwan sheepishly approaches them again, only to dance away from noona’s batting paws.

“Oh, that’s no fair,” hyung wheezes, and coaxes the Lion off his knees before bracing his hands against the ground, pausing for a moment (…?), then rolling to his feet—no, foot, all his weight is on his left leg (??) for a split second before he relaxes, balanced once more. “Let’s give her a fighting chance, huh?” he says, and Yoohyun's eyes belatedly flick up from his leg to his face when he starts jogging after Junhwan. Noona gleefully gives chase with the new extension to her leash, and Yoohyun’s forced after them as they cross to the far end of the enclosure.

There’s a pleased smile on hyung’s face as he goes, childish glee in noona’s cackling as she runs, and Yoohyun watches them for a moment before deciding to drop it. He can bring up the question another time; it hardly seems fair to ruin their fun now.

He can't stop himself from smiling as he follows.

What made it worse is when yamaguchi let it slip that he had ran into her in the hallway. The two second years going crazy that he had gotten that close to her.

“Common you don’t even know her name!” Noya groaned.

“Why would I even ask she ran into me.” He said.

Tanaka punched him in the arm “you didn’t even say sorry just walked away, how could you she’s gorgeous.” He complained.

Tsukishimas rubbed his arm rolling his eyes, oh he apologized. Not that he wanted to, remembering the moment making him frown. “Ask Kiyoko, they hugged after the game.” Kageyama spoke up.

The three snapping their heads towards the first year. “You’re so smart!” Noya and Tanaka cried pushing off of Tsukishima.

He found it sad how desperate they were to find out her name, why did they even need it? He thought she’s not even around her it’s not like they’d go out with her. To them she was just a pretty face and that pissed tsukishima off, at lest have the decency to ask her name in person. What made this more dreadful is the he wanted to know her name to, to be truthful he’d looked up their roster and coaching staff but didn’t find a name that would fit her. God maybe he was worse than them for doing that.

“SHE HAS AN INSTAGRAM!” Tanaka yelled.

Tsukishima groaned standing up, walking by his two upper class men he glanced at the phone they looked at scrolling through her feed.

It wasn’t stalking if her account is public right? Tsukishima opening up his phone as he began to walk home only for him to close it and shove the phone back in his pocket. He groaned closing his eyes, “Everything alright Tsukii?” The sound of his best friends voice was heard from beside him.

Tsukishimas eyes met his, “I’m fine.”

Lie. And yamaguchi could tell, “don’t bs me what’s up. I get if you don’t wanna tell me but I’m here to listen.” He shrugged.

He wanted to tell him, he wanted that Nekomas manager had an attitude, how he haters her bratty tone pissed him off. How she was stuck in his head how she barely touched him but her body spray lingerd on him after, how she smelled of coco butter and vanilla. How stupid he felt. How she pulled an apology out of him and it wasn’t even a real one! God she pissed him off. Especially how nervous he got.

He wanted to throw up.

“Tsukii?”

“Why are they so obsessed with her?”

“Nekomas manager?”

Yamaguchi paused for a moment “It’s Tanaka and Nishinoya, it’s just the way they are. Plus she is pretty.”

“Is that really all? Over them being a bit girl crazy.” Yamaguchi spoke rubbing the back of his neck.

No. Was he jealous! No that’s stupid. “Just don’t get it I guess, I mean don’t you get tired if it? Them always asking you if you have a girlfriend? If you have a crush.” Tsukishima asked.

“Not really, it’s never bothered me. I mean I do like girls but it’s not my whole personality nor do they like me back at times. Just keep to myself.” Yamaguchi spoke thinking about as he talked.

Tsukishima always disliked the concept of crushes, how one shared feelings for another but can’t tell them. The feeling of falling in love yet waiting just to perhaps be rejected? The obsession that came with it always wanting to talk to said person or being with them. How you can ever get them out of your mind. It was lame, it made him feel sick.

“You like someone don’t you.”

Tsukishimas head Turing to look at his friend. “No, I’m not interested in all of that.” He spoke. Truthfully he wasn’t, he no intention of getting a girlfriend or even talking to someone romantically.

Maybe it was the comfort of his bed, how he laid on his back as he opened Instagram again. Typing in the name tag, pressing on the first profile. Yeah she was known that for sure. Scrolling through her feed, learning she’s social, loves her family, and all around loves taking photos of herself, but how could she not she’s pretty. Her face was made for the lens of a camera.

“Really like putting yourself out there huh..?” He spoke to himself, the moment he said that his finger slipped a pink heart popping up on the screen.

“No.”

“Oh shit!” He sat up quickly. It was a photo of her on the beach sitting up on her knees her hands up blocking the sun from her face. He liked a fucking Bikini post from 6 months ago.

“Are you fucking kidding me!” He groaned. What if he unliked it? She still see it. No that was stupid.

The sound of his door opening made if head turn. “Everything alright Kei!” His mother asked.

“Yeah. Im great just people,” he spoke taking a deep breath before talking to him mom again “I’m alright sorry for worrying you.” He spoke. She nodded closing the door.

Tsukishima on the other hand threw his phone on his bed the blonde now standing up, “so stupid.”

Yet when he found himself back in his bed he opened the chat once more, only to close it. No. He’s going to bed. Forgetting about what just happened and going to sleep. If only it was that easy, tossing and turning but he couldn’t sleep, he’d being lying if he wasn’t waiting for another text.

Didn’t matter what it was. But he’d be damned if he text her.

She wasn’t much different, but she waited till the next day.

“Kuroo are we inviting Karasuno to the summer camp?” She asked standing infront of his desk.

He looked up at her his face scrunching “I think.”

“Why-“

“Thank you!” She spoke leaving his classroom.

Maybe she didn’t have to wait as long as she thought to see him. Her summer break go free labored babysitting wouldn’t be to bad. She’d have a first year to pick on.

It was wierd how she found herself back looking at those three post, one of him reading a book somthing his friends probably took, the two other of him on a hike. A taller women, blonde, standing next to him, his mom she guessed how he held her just as close as she did him a half smile on his face. One most would think is fake and forced but it was genuine Tsukishima Kei was a mamas boy.

Her eyes scanned the phone as she continued to look, a notification popping up.

Her once smile dropping. Gross. Common, I mean sure he’s part of a team that’s friends but common. She was thankful for the heads up but she felt sick. He was gonna be there at that camp for 2 almost 3 weeks. God damn it. She could feel tears weld up in her eyes, she hated it. They’ve been apart for over 5 months. It’s the fourth day not replying to Gojo’s phone calls and texts. You know it’s childish to avoid communication during an argument, but the fact that he suddenly disappeared for 3 days for a mission deeply hurts you. He could disappear without a word, then why couldn’t you?

‘Are we nothing serious? Despite all the times we spent together…?’ You lie on the couch, looking at the silver bangle that has ‘Satoru’s’ engraved. He gave it to you a long with a button on the day you both graduated. It’s the second button of his shirt, the one that lies the nearest to his heart.

While you are reminiscing about that precious moment, your phone vibrates. It’s Gojo calling again. You just stare at it until the unread texts reappear on your lock-screen.

“Babe please let me talk to you.” 06:44am

“Lets have a nice breakfast this morning and go for a walk together? Please i need to be with you, even a few minutes is enough for me.” 7:00am

“I’m sorry and I miss you… Please im going crazy now…” 7:25am

“It’s raining outside, remember to bring an umbrella with you when you are out.” 8:02am

It’s raining? Even the weather is the same as your mood.

Suddenly, a new message pops up.

“Babe, open the door please? I know you may not to see me, and it’s okay if you need more time to clear the knots on your mind. But please don’t kick me out of your life… let me take a glance of you, let me know that i can get you back…”

You ran to open the door, the white hair guy is standing in front of your house, all soaked. He seems tired and sleep-deprived, but a hint of joy sparks in his eyes the moment he sees you.

“Thank you for opening the door for me… And i am sorry for making you feel miserable, i finally understand how it feels to lose touch with someone irreplaceable. And how dare I make you experience such dreadful emotions…”

You can’t help crying all the emotions out. It’s not anger nor sadness that you feel right now, it’s a relief instead. A relief to know that Gojo Satoru cares as much as you do.

Seeing you cry is such a torture to Gojo. He Immediately pulls you into his arms with his chin gently placed on your head, mumbling “I’m so sorry”, “it’s okay I’m here now”, “i wont go anywhere”, “I’m such a bastard…”. A peck falls on your cheek between each guilty confession.

“So… Is forgiveness granted…?” The idea of gojo acting like 10 year-old begging for forgiveness makes you giggle a little.

“You are only 30% forgiven… ”

“What should I do to get a 100%? I’m not gonna turn my infinity on today, so punch me, stab me - or even kill me is fine. As long as I’m killed by you. I will literally do anything for my angel.” Gojo can’t think straight now, because he finally got to sniff the scent he has been longing for.

“Then… let’s have a nice breakfast and go for a walk together.”

“Hey Alexia, guess who I just saw walking down the main hallway?” — Dina said excitedly as she threw herself on her own bed.

“well let me think…i don't know dee, i have to do this damn job and i just can't think of anything else!” — Alex replied

“Lexi I think you need to relax, being locked in the dorm forcing yourself to do something that you definitely can't develop right now isn't going to do any good”  

the blonde haired girl sighed before turning her body around in that rolling chair and then facing Dina — “ yes, I think you're right, but hey, will you say who you saw in the main hallway or not?” — alexia arched one of her eyebrows curiously.

“let's say halfway there maybe I saw Jesse standing in front of one of those snack machines” — started Dina — “and he was like OH MY GOOD FUCK so handsome, he just kind of winked at me and i panicked, and well now i'm here”

"WHAT? Did Jesse wink at you? Like the same Jesse who's in a band with fucking Ellie Williams?” — Alex replied her friend with wide eyes.

oh em gee this whole fic has such a grasp on me??? i literally read this in one go and i have never felt more emotions in one sitting. AND HELLO? GOJO? I defended you time and time again to people who would talk about you when you weren't around. I publicly supported you and shared your accomplishments on social media. So why do you have so much animosity and hatred towards me? I had a mutual friend reach out to me through Instagram about posts you were making on facebook, that pertained to me and others. So, I went back and I've read all your blogs and posts you've made over the past several months. Why? We haven't spoken in 2...3? years. I do not speak about you to other people, aside from the friend who reach out to me about said posts that one time. So what the actual fuck, Kristi?

And lastly.... You've made several posts about how multiple people have called you a narcissist, selfish, self absorbed, etc. and how no one understands you. It's always everyone else's fault, not yours. Did you ever stop to think that maybe you actually are the problem. You minimize everyone else's issues and time and try to maximize your own. What I mean by that is that everything is, quite literally, always about you. Even when you aren't specifically talking about yourself, it's somehow STILL about you. You say you can't be a narcissist because you do nice things for others. Do you do nice things just to do nice things or do you do nice things so that you can brag and post about the nice things that you do? Do you do nice things to feel superior to others? Because that's how I see it since you like to throw what you have done for others into their faces. Just reading your post entitled "friends" says it all... it's all about YOU YOU YOU. Your friends are only good for what they do for YOU, how they make YOU feel important. You literally said "No one gets excited for me" "No one cares about where i've been or what my story is." & "None of the people who know what I've been through give any flying fuck." (Well, I did until you told me to fuck off and treated me like shit in general.) And you once said that I never said I was proud of you (which i totally did, publicly on facebook) yet you never once told me you were proud of me. You never got excited for me. You never cared about my story (Do you even know my story?) I remember hand making/drawing you a "congratulations" card that I sent to you in the mail for an achievement you got in school because I was happy for you. Only to hear you drone on and on about how your friends left you, Amy this or Angie that. I was never a good enough friend to you because I was not Amy of Angie. You always made me feel like absolute shit, but I digress. You are a perpetual victim of your own making but then also want to play martyr so you can go down in history a hero, not because whatever your cause of the moment is just the right thing to do. You constantly talk about your "legacy" (If i have to read that word one more time...) your book, your life, your self. You come of smug when you make comments about how you are are getting things done and doing things with your life... as if you're somehow better than others because you are going to college. Yet when criticism comes about how you might be making other people feel, you tell them to "fuck off" That's what you did to me. I told you that you make everything about you and you're literal reaction was "FUCK OFF" Judging from your posts, it seems other people have made similar criticisms towards you and you've told them all to fuck off and now you are complaining that you are alone. Well....? I mean....the common denominator is you.

I am sorry that you've had a shit life and have shit health problems, but your problems are not the only ones that matter and they damn sure don't matter more than anyone else's problems. If you actually stopped to listen and care what other people say, you might find yourself a little less lonely. It's a two way street. And your mental health is not an excuse to constantly treat people like shit. I have been depressed almost my entire life and I never used that as an excuse as to why I couldn't be there as a friend to you because I was literally always there for you, even when I wasn't in the best headspace. That's what friends do & you are simply not a good friend.
