What is up with people hating on characters
Like ACTUALLY hating a fictional character like it did something ty
Like I understand being like "this character sucks" but when it's a complex character that has a story and is written as a bad person? It's supposed to be fun😭
And when people hate on other headcanons and au (hating a dni/ or something weird and gross is fine but try not ro judge so long as its not illegal) but like if it's ooc that's not so big and changes the character to a whole 'nother universe or it's just a quick little thing that the writer can relate to
Then what's the problem??
Let people have fun with the silly little fucked up characters😕

Nightmare has such a complex about owning things, i love it so much. Just the fact that the people he chose to keep with him have significance to him and people taking them away is more of an atrocity to him than anything else.
That's why he was so upset when Cross decided to be more loyal to Dream because he saw him FIRST. He was supposed to be HIS.
He knows Dream isn't trying to intentionally goad him into rage-filled tantrums, but he still hates that, yet again, everyone loves Dream over him.
It's why he clings to Killer and Dust because they want him. They try to get closer to him even when he hurts them.
They're so special to him.
With Horror it's... complicated. Because he knows that what they had could never get any further than a boss and employee relationship and that was sufficient. But it does sting him sometimes when he can feel Horror's thoughts of leaving and never coming back.

Appalachia has bested me so I gave up on backpacking and booked a last minute room at a government run resort and had dinner at the resort bar (which I will reiterate, is run by the state of Kentucky) and ended up doing shots of bourbon with two middle aged women from a nearby holler who work at the local prison. All of this while in my pajamas.

Today on "Another JeanMarco Soulmate AU absolutely no one asked for" I present to you -
Soulmate AU in which you stop seeing colors when your soulmate dies, the only exception being your soulmate. Now cue to Jean who just found Marco's, his best friend's, body. And you know, there's the shock of finding out Marco's dead. The pain and confusion and guilt. But there's also the revelation, because despite everything he can still see Marco like nothing took place at all- yes, half of his face is missing and his body is straight up lifeless, but Jean can still make out the color of his eye ; see that light shade of brown perfectly, remember all the times he has found himself looking at them while listening to Marco talk. He can still make out the colors of his uniform, see the same shade of black his hair has always had, practically see. Despite being dead, Marco was the only piece of color left in his life.
And there's denial for a moment because there's no way Marco was his soulmate. But that goes away fast, getting replaced by guilt. By the fact that he hasn't been there to save him, that Marco has to die all alone without anyone being there for him.
And that was worse than the simple fact that he could no longer see colors ; because Marco was there when Jean needed him, but he failed to do the same. And not only he lost his best friend that day, but his other half too.
