yknow what’s better than having good omens hyperfixation? mixing sonic to the mix bc im OBSESSED to analyzing how characters of various franchises reacting to the little guy (a multifaceted little hedgehog who’s faced god(s), alternate dimensions of his own self, and an enjoyer of ancient literature in his free time)
and since no one else is making that content, i’ll be doing it myself. so without further ado, i hope u enjoy !!!
sonic and good omens crossover
i feel when they meet, despite being immortal beings that have experienced more than the human mind could ever comprehend, aziraphale and crowley react to an anthropomorphic talking blue hedgehog that’s suddenly falling into their world like any other human beings: they are TERRIFIED
well. terrified as one can be at 15 year old pubescent teenage hedgehog. because after their initial fear, they’re just. Fucking confused at him and his existence; how does a creature come to be in this world? they’d ask their respective sides if they didn’t want to deal with the mess that comes with it
sonic claims that he's “used to being isekaied” (“whatever that means,”crowley mumbles) and he’ll be “fine on his own” (“fine my arse!”) but aziraphale INSISTS that the lad has a roof under his bed because anthropomorphic hedgehog or not, he is NOT letting a teenager be homeless
sonic initially thinks aziraphale is kinda overbearing and crowley is way too overprotective bc like. He’s fine! hes dealt with situations more extreme than being transported to another world (my man (gender neutral) literally DIED & was tortured for 6 months straight in a war) yet hes getting help here; it almost feels like hes being looked down on and he does NOT appreciate it
he doesn’t reject their help but he’s not the most receptive either. whenever aziraphale tries to have tea breaks, he’s “away” (out on a run) or asleep (coincidentally the same time it’s tea time)
it’s only when aziraphale catches him browsing his books and jovially gives him a few book recommendations of his own (because bookworms never have just One Rec) that he lets the two in. it’s when he starts to genuinely like the two
one fact that goes untalked about is that sonic is an AVID reader. like. my hedgehog canonically has read WAR AND PEACE in the wreck it ralph 2 movie. so getting his own personal recommendation from aziraphale means a lot. he can not only have new literature but better understand aziraphale as a being—not angel or demon, but just being. book recs can say a lot about a person after all
eventually accumulates to aziraphale bonds and sonic bonding over books. aziraphale loves giving him recommendations—but ironically, has to slow down for him bc my speedy boy (gender neutral) is what i hc as a slow reader (opposite of a bookworm).
in essence, aziraphale adjusts his reading speed accordingly so sonic can keep up with him, much like sonic does for his friends (tails). something something parallels <3 they have tea and biscuits when they’re done with a book and discuss it together. aziraphale loooves talking about the deep meanings of things, while sonic enjoys listening to him. he also listens to aziraphale talk about book bindings and smile, simply bc it reminds him of his home (wherever his friends are: tails)
crowley sees all this bonding and is secretly like 🥺🥺 bc it’s not often u see aziraphale so. Doting in regards to his special interest (books, especially book collections) so he gets sonic more books for him to read. or in aziraphale’s case, keep in his bookstore. sonic isn’t much of a hoarder so he’s like. “you can sell them when i’m done” but both are too attached to the symbolism

Sonic WIPs and Scribbles from 2023 (Notes Below)
Gave Chaos the Angel Chao ... "Ears" ? So that All Forms (Neutral/Dark/Hero) have some form of Representation. (The two split ... Hair? Things? In the back already resemble the Devil Chao, since the Light Chao only has one.)
Solaris Exists! ... Crazy. I recall this redesign being bit tricky because it was just so hard to see what the fucking thing looked like Originally, but I did my best. Tried to show the Bird/Eagle Theming, and to simplify the design so People like Me could understand it. I wanted this design to look like a counterpart to Chaos -- because in this AU, Solaris is from, you'll never guess...the Sol Dimension!
Gave Team Dark a sort of... cohesive color scheme with eachother, so they really look like a Unit. Plus, Rouge wearing Red just... Makes sense, considering her name, even if I enjoy the Purple color scheme as well.
Similar color scheme thing here with the Babylon Rogues -- They all share Red/White/Yellow -- I took the darker colors out of these designs to not be so similar to Team Dark haha. The amount of points on each of their...Chest...Fluffs?? matches the amount of feathers they have on their head Respectively . Changed Storm the most -- I wanted to make his "Hair" Silhouette more Unique from Wave's, and really just wanted an excuse to give a character a Cool Jacket . The Shoes ... I phoned those in a bit, I'll probably change them Later...
Sharddddddd. Throughout my Scribbles (including some here) You might've seen me struggle to decide what Quill Style to give him -- his OG style? Or the Metal Sonic style? Eventually, I decided I didn't need to choose -- I could do both. It's not demonstrated that well in these, but it's basically the same style the Bits have in Sonic Universe: The Silver Age -- just thinner and more Pointy .
Ahhh Faceless Jumpscare! This is what they look like when I'm trying to work on Poses and Colors but don't want to Commit to a Face yet, haha . Nicole, I'm always changing her design it seems -- don't be surprised if it happens again! But I based her handheld off various devices Tails uses -- I wanted it to be compact while being more Modern than the Nokia Flip Phone. Changed her hologram form slightly to resemble her handheld -- her ears are the antenna, and the rings are on her feet like how the ring is plugged in at the bottom. Made her vest longer too! So it looks more like her Reboot Outfit . Just a little.
And that's mostly it! I've been on a quest to draw Every Character in my Sonic Au -- I've sketched about... 35 so far? Here's a Screenshot of a bit of the Madness on that canvas haha.

like a moth to a flame
Tumblr media
pairing: dabi x reader
cw: villain dabi, pro hero reader, gender neutral reader but dabi calls reader “doll” because i’m obsessed, mentions of passing out, blood, and violence, dabi kinda uses his quirk on reader/slight burning, extremely suggestive/borderline smut, slight dubcon, mild humiliation/degradation, marking/biting, mild choking, kissing n groping, i think that’s all
analysis: when an attack on the league goes wrong, you suddenly find yourself like moth to a flame.
a/n: this is entirely horikoshi’s fault blame him and his latest sketch of dabi for this bc i seriously wasn’t able to function after seeing it ANDDD bc dabi’s dance was so good animated like ugh
———
it’s too dark to see anything. it’s so, so dark, engulfing you and whatever’s around. now, normally, the darkness doesn’t deter you. you can see through it sometimes, but your vision spins and blurs.
you can feel coarse dirt underneath your arms as you crawl forward to nothingness. “fuck.” the simple curse escapes you gruffly and you can somewhat open your eyes a bit more.
the voices of the other heroes reign somewhere in the distance and you can faintly hear the creaking and splintering of branches. the roar of flames is overwhelming.
“fuck,” you hiss once more, pushing yourself to at least stumble up somehow, and the night sky’s faint luminance is now streaming in.
you must’ve passed out or something—the fresh smell of fire reaches your nostrils and you burst into dry coughs. you can literally taste the smoke in your throat and it’s awful.
it had been a carefully articulated and planned attack on the league of villains. after going through some suspicious reports and sightings, based on some other inside information, the commission decided it was time to snuff them out.
at least three organized patrols had been assigned—with some of the top heroes accompanying and a good majority of the police force on standby.
it seemed like everything was going to go well. the heroes supposedly had all the cards in their hands. until something with the main patrol came up—there were more targets not on the capture list, the police were no longer on standby and your radios were going crazy with static and voices.
and your patrol had been split up when things had went wrong.
once you’re finally standing, you register the bright blueness of the flames that surround you—it drowns out the shadows of the night and it has you wincing from the heat. thankfully, you’re not in the frenzy of the fire.. but the scorch is nearly blistering.
it’s clear that one of the league members had the woods to his advantage—the commission had planned around it by sending heroes with water-based quirks to deflect such attacks and yet.. it seems like something had backfired. the blaze is unyielding as ever.
you wince once more and analyze yourself for any severe injuries. definitely some scratches and bruises, probably some sore (or even broken) ribs but it’s nothing you can’t manage. you need to get back to the others.
smoke curls through the towering trees that aren’t burning down. despite the ache in the back of your head and everything else in your body screaming at you, you make your way through the greenery that isn’t alight, trying to listen to the sounds of the nearby battle.
“well, well, well.. aren’t you a bit far off from your friends, little hero?” there’s a voice that calls out to you, low and snickering. it stands out amongst the chaos. “are you lost?”
fuck.
the last thing you wanted was to run into the criminal behind all this fire—and just your luck. you’ve never met the infamous arsonist before despite your line of work, but you’ve read the files, seen the videos, took in the very little information of him. dabi. and you freeze in place, wary as you glance around.
you can’t pinpoint where his voice came from, and then he’s speaking again. “scared?” it’s paired with that mocking laugh. he sounds like a predator that’s caught his prey.
and dammit, right now, you are his prey.
you know he’s taunting you, trying to provoke you—and it’s working, alright. “the only one scared right now is you-!” you reply defiantly, still scanning your surroundings, “you’re the one hiding, you damn coward!”
there’s the noise of a fresh searing wave of heat behind you and you hiss in alarm, twisting on your heel to see if he’s there—only to be met with no one still. fuck, he’s toying with you.
“why are you even here?” you protest, hands balled up into fists as you continue to slowly turn around. “shouldn’t you be helping out your fellow league members?”
for a while, he doesn’t answer over the crackles and pops of the fire. and then he laughs again. “ah, they’ll be just fine without me for a while!” he declares, “and i just couldn’t help myself when i saw a little lost mouse like you wandering about.”
something sends tingles down your back but you have no time to decide what it is when you hear him behind you again. but you’re too late to react, and you’re shoved face first back into the ground.
dabi laughs again; it’s a sickening sound and you can hear the tainted delight in it. and to your horror, you realize that—his stupid fucking laugh—is what sends shivers down your spine.
there’s weight being pressured on your lower back and a surge of humiliation washes over you when you realize he’s stepping on you. you squirm in resistance.
“can’t say that i’ve seen your face before, doll,” he coos as he leans forward. you yelp in pain as the heel of his boot digs sharply into your back. “won’t you tell me your name?”
with a scowl and a shout of frustration, you manage to push him off and scramble back onto your feet. “fuck you! like i’d ever tell you!”
when you’re facing him again, your stomach twists. there’s a predatory smirk on his lips and the heat from the flames tousles his hair. “ah, don’t worry! ‘m sure i’ll get you to tell me one way or another.”
you lunge for him, aiming to attack and catch him off guard but he maneuvers to the side. his arm raises up in the corner of your peripheral and you narrowly dodge a blast of his flames.
your feet nearly slip when you face him again but he’s rushing forward on the offensive—you scream in terror once you see his hand aimed right for your head but then-
his hand wraps around your throat, and there’s that menacing grin on his face again—like he wants to eat you alive and leave nothing left.
“oh, doll.” his laugh is still taunting and raspy. the sound curls and tickles your abdomen and you shiver just hearing it—oh god, it shouldn’t be affecting you like this, he shouldn’t be affecting you like this. “shouldn’t you be fighting me?”
his movements are too fucking quick—his legs move forward and yours backward and you fucking whimper once your back slams against a tree that’s somehow still standing.
the noise has a flicker of surprise and thrill flitting over dabi’s face. and then his wicked smirk grows as he leans in. “you like this, don’t you, doll?”
you want to say that you don’t—you had whimpered because of the pain and that you’d rather throw yourself in the fire around you before admitting that. but you’re hyper aware of the hand around your throat and the knee between your thighs and you can’t fucking think.
it must be written all over your face because he tightens his grip ever so slightly and drawls, “oh, you do.”
your blood is rushing because fuck, he’s right.
“f-fuck off,” you wheeze out, your hands braced against his chest in a half-assed attempt to keep him at bay—but his unspoken threat of burning right through your throat hangs in the air. “let me.. go.”
“but you like this,” he insists menacingly. his shifts his knee even higher and you can’t help but gasp. “the little hero caught by me. look at you, doll, squirming on my thigh so helpless.”
his words have your cheeks heating up. mortified by your body’s responsiveness, you struggle again.
“don’t do that, doll,” he growls in warning, “or else.”
there’s heat emitting from his palm and you can feel your skin burning slightly—it fucking hurts but he’s controlling the heat with precision and the realization of you being completely at his mercy makes you melt.
when he retracts his hand back, the singe on your skin makes you feel lightheaded. “there,” dabi clicks his tongue in satisfaction, “your pretty neck is all marked up.”
and then he’s tangling his fingers into your hair, yanking it roughly so that your lips meet his. his other hand tugs at the remains of your hero costume to feel your body underneath his rough fingertips.
instinctively, you try to resist but once his hand tugs your hair again, you can’t help but reciprocate his forced kiss. in some sort of way of retaliation, you bite at his lip as hard as you can, tasting blood.
he pulls back with a hiss. and yet, his tongue swipes at the scarlet dotting his lower lip, and you try to squeeze your legs together at the sight. he doesn’t miss the action—and his leg presses even more. his bright blue eyes gleam and he snarls. “why don’t i make you bleed instead, doll?”
you open your mouth to snap back but he ducks his head down and you feel his teeth against the tender skin of your neck. a cry rips from you as he continues on to mark up your collarbone with bites.
“what would your allies think?” he mocks you, his nose skimming up along your throat. he sneers against your jawline, “your friends? your family? a hero like you abandoning those who need your help right now to have some fun with a villain like me?”
his words are making your head throb.. you should be fighting back, should be throwing him off and subduing him. you should be putting him behind bars and locking him up where he belongs. but all the sensations on your body say otherwise.
“just- just shut up and kiss me,” you gasp, half demanding, half pleading. one of your hands grab the back of his neck to pull him to you but he leans back, sneering once again.
“no, no, doll- you’re not gonna have your way just like that.” dabi grips your thigh and suddenly hoists it up—painfully without warning so you can feel him. “answer my question.”
a soft moan leaves your lips. the shame burns much hotter than his flames and it’s taking everything in you to look at him in the eye.
“i- i-” you stammer, unable to find the words to answer him. they’d be ashamed of you, of course. helplessly falling into this trap and savoring this villain’s touch.
“they’d be so proud of you, wouldn’t they?” dabi supplies, grinning at the mess he’s made you. “you just melt when i get my hands on you, doll. so pathetic.”
another moan resonates from your throat and he chuckles in devilish delight. “c’mon, hero,” he purrs and his hips suddenly roll forward once. “i wanna hear you say it.”
“i’m-” his movement is all you can focus and fuck, everything feels so hot. the flames, your body, him. you feel like you’re drowning in heat and the shame makes your heart lurch. “i’m pathetic-”
“that’s right,” he hisses, and you whimper in pain again when his calloused fingers yank down on your hair. his teeth clash against yours and you can feel the staples along his tongue—the kiss is all messy and you think you’re going to pass out again.
when he finally relents and pulls back, his dark gaze is captivating, promising. “won’t you tell me your name now, doll?”
oh, he’s going to burn you. your name, your reputation, your body, your heart, your everything.
and like a moth to a flame, you let him.
you tell him your name.

Analyzing Every Shadow The Hedgehog (2005) Sequence Name
If you don’t know, there’s 326 possible ways you can play through the story mode of Shadow the Hedgehog, and all of these ways have names. In this post, I’m going to look at the name of every single one of these and see why they’re named that by looking at what happens in that specific sequence. You might be asking, why on Earth would I do this? Well, I don’t really have a reason, I just want to because the idea popped into my head one day. Anyways, let’s get into this post, which is definitely going to be insanely long
001: Punishment, Thy Name Is Ruin
This is the first path on the list, and also the darkest one that Shadow can take. In this route, Shadow works with Black Doom on every stage (Except for Cryptic Castle, where he works with Eggman). After completing the mission for Black Doom on the final level and defeating Sonic along with Diablon, Shadow obtains the final Chaos Emerald and proclaims that he was created to bring order and justice to the humans, then proceeds to say that he is going to destroy the planet. This ending’s name is relatively simple to explain, Shadow’s line about being made in order to bring justice to humans implies that he believes that humans are worthy of punishment. As the name states, that punishment is ruin, as in him bringing the planet to ruin by destroying it with the Chaos Emeralds
002: Prologue To World Conquest
This one is very simple. It goes the same as the last route up until the final level, where Shadow betrays Black Doom at the last moment. He then says that he is the ultimate lifeform, born to rule over all, and that he will use the power of the Chaos Emeralds to conquer the universe. That’s all there is to this one
003: The March To A Darker World
This is another rather simple one. In this route, Shadow works solely for the dark side up until the penultimate level, where he does the neutral mission instead. This leads to him going to the Black Comet as the final level, which he does the dark mission for. This leads to him gathering all of the Chaos Emeralds and proclaiming that he was created to protect and serve Black Doom, and that the world will become a dark empire, so the reason why this ending has its name is pretty obvious
004: The Ultimate Ego
This path is the same as last time, except Shadow chooses the hero mission while aboard the Black Comet instead of the dark one. This leads to him saying that he and only he knows what is best for himself before (Presumably) killing Eggman
005: Purification Via Ruination
Okay I’m going to be completely honest here, I’m not 100% sure of the meaning behind this name. This route involves Shadow doing the dark mission for every single level except for Central City, where he does the hero mission. Before the level begins, Black Doom tells Shadow that his past is filled with hatred for humans. Since the hero mission involves Shadow saving a lot of humans (By disarming bombs the Black Arms have planted all around the city), and since the ending is the same as Punishment, Thy Name Is Ruin, it makes me think that in this path Shadow thinks that there are some good humans instead of hating all of them. By destroying the planet, he thinks he’s purifying it (Via ruining it, just as the name says). His plan, or my theory, might have a few holes in it though since the planet being destroyed would kill literally everyone, maybe it would leave behind one or two GUN Soldiers on the ARK, but that’s it. There is another way to think of it, though. Maybe the thing that’s being purified is the wider universe, and by destroying the planet, he’s cleansing it of humans and their actions
006: Apogee Of Darkness
It’s here that I’m starting to realize that these sequence names mostly seem to be based on which of the 10 possible endings they end in, which makes this whole analysis less interesting. I’m still going to try though, although all of the stuff that I say will probably be huge reaches because I’m looking for meaning that probably does not exist. So in this sequence Shadow does dark missions for the first three stages, does the hero mission in Central City, and then does the dark mission for Air Fleet before finally arriving at the GUN Fortress and doing the hero mission. This sequence ends with Shadow proclaiming that he’s going to conquer the universe, just like Prologue To World Conquest. Apogee means the highest point of something, so this means that this sequence is supposedly the height of darkness for Shadow. This seemingly only refers to him conquering the universe (Which is indeed a very evil thing), since he does actually do a hero mission twice in this route, which would make it not be the darkest possible sequence
007: True Soldier Of Destruction
The pattern I noticed on the last post seemed to be accurate, as this name seems to refer mostly to the ending of this path, where Shadow says that he will become the minion of Black Doom and help him conquer the planet. Nothing else in the sequence, which has Shadow doing the dark missions for the first three levels, doing the hero mission for Central City, and doing the normal mission for Air Fleet before finally doing the dark mission for the Black Comet, seems to tie into this name. I feel like a lot of the explanations are going to be this, and I’m sorry for that since it’s probably kind of a let down, but even if my explanation every time is just “Yeah this name is just because of the ending of the sequence”, that’s still a lot of effort on my end considering I’m tackling over 300 sequences
008: Believe In Yourself
This one is mostly based on the ending, where Shadow proclaims that only he knows what is best for himself, but I think I can find a few crumbs from other levels as well. In this route, Shadow does dark missions for the first three levels, does the hero mission of Central City, and then the neutral mission for Air Fleet before doing the hero mission of the Black Comet which results in the aforementioned ending. This could show that Shadow was at first influenced by Black Doom and Eggman, but then decided to turn back from them and help out Knuckles (Possibly due to regret, or maybe he realized that working with the heroes could be better for him), and then when he arrives at the next stage and he has to decide if he wants to continue being heroic or defect back to the Black Arms, he decides to do neither and trust in only himself. This is most definitely a big reach, but I’m also probably putting more thought into this than whoever made the sequence names (Sorry to whoever made the sequence names, I’m thankful for your work)
009: An Android’s Determination
This is another one that’s entirely based on the ending. In this sequence, the final level is Lava Shelter, which Shadow does the dark mission for. This results in an ending where Shadow, believing that he is an android replica of the original Shadow, says that he will use the Chaos Emeralds to become even stronger than the original. That’s all I really need to say for this one, the reason behind its name is obvious
010: For Machine, By Machine...
This sequence is similar to the last one, as the ending of it still has Shadow believing that he is an android, although this time he does the hero mission, which results in him planning to use the Chaos Emeralds to take over the Eggman Empire and rule the world with machines. This is another obvious one, Shadow believes that he is a machine, and he wants to make a world for machines by conquering it with them (Sidenote: It feels like the neutral hero and neutral dark endings got swapped, it would have made way more since if you got the neutral dark ending by doing the hero mission at the end of a neutral route, and vice versa)
011: Revenge At Last
Like a few of the other sequences, Shadow claims that he will destroy the world with the power of the Chaos Emeralds to get revenge on humans. This one does have a bit more stuff to it, though, since Shadow does the dark mission for the level The Doom. The Doom is a flashback to the massacre on the ARK, and the dark mission involves Shadow killing all of the GUN forces in the level. This obviously shows that in this sequence, Shadow especially hates humans and badly wants revenge on them, which is obviously why this sequence has its name
012: Ego’s Awakening
This sequence is the same as the last one, except it ends with Shadow saying that he will conquer the universe instead of destroying the world. The Doom’s dark mission being present here ties into it a lot less than it does with Revenge At Last. In fact, I can’t really think of a way it ties in at all. The only meaning I can find behind this name is that Shadow’s ego is at its highest during the ending this sequence concludes with
013: Destruction And Scorn
Like a few others that have been mentioned so far, this one ends with Shadow saying that he will serve Black Doom and help him with his conquest. This sequence also has The Doom’s dark mission. The word scorn means belief that something is worthless or despicable, so this name makes a lot of sense, Shadow is helping Black Doom conquer/destroy the planet because of his hatred for humans
014: The Last Remaining Purpose
The name of this sequence is mostly based on the ending like all the others, but there is a bit of extra meaning that I can dig for. In this route, Shadow does the dark mission for the first two stages and works for Black Doom, and then chooses the neutral mission in the third level. The next level is The Doom, which he does the dark mission for, and then aboard the next level, The ARK, he does the neutral mission. Finally, he does the hero mission aboard the Black Comet which leads to the ending where he declares that only he knows what is best for himself. This specific path taken could be interpreted as Shadow starting off working for Black Doom, choosing to go through Cryptic Castle without helping anyone (Because the dark mission is Eggman in that level), and then reliving a version of the ARK massacre before heading to the current day ARK. The reason why Shadow chooses to take the neutral mission even though the dark mission is given by Black Doom could be because he doesn’t want to destroy what’s left of the ARK (Black Doom’s mission involves destroying the ARK’s defenses), and being requested to do this makes him realize that he doesn’t want to work for/Can’t trust Black Doom either. Since Black Doom was the only one he trusted initially, he decides that the last remaining thing for him to do is to simply trust in himself and nobody else. Or I could be looking way too far into this. Either one
015: The Nightmare’s Insulation
This sequence ends with Shadow saying that he is going to destroy the world with the Chaos Emeralds, although it also involves The Doom, specifically its neutral mission where Shadow and Maria simply try to escape as fast as possible. Because in this path, Shadow clearly hasn’t moved on from the incident aboard the ARK because of how willing he is to work with Black Doom, him destroying the planet could be seen as a flawed way of trying to make himself look better, since after that the only places he could live are alone on the ARK, or on the Black Comet with the Black Arms (I interpret him saying he’s going to destroy the planet as he’s going to literally break the entire planet, like it got shot by the Eclipse Cannon, not just destroying all the buildings on it and stuff). So, him destroying the planet is simply an insulation to the nightmare he’s going through, since it isn’t going to make things any better for him, especially in the long run
016: The Nightmare’s Sublimation
This sequence goes the same as the previous one, although it ends with Shadow saying that he’s going to conquer the universe instead of destroying the planet. The definition of sublimation (other than the chemistry meaning) is the act of expressing strong emotions or using energy by doing an activity or creating something. The name implies that Shadow is conquering the universe in an attempt to make himself feel better or occupy his mind, but like destroying the planet in the previous route, this isn’t actually going to help him
017: The Loner’s Choice
In this route, Shadow works with Black Doom for the first two missions, and then does neutral missions until the end where he chooses the dark mission, resulting in the ending where he decides to become Black Doom’s minion. That’s pretty much all there is for this one
018: Subjugation In Black
This route is the same as the previous one, except Shadow chooses to do the hero mission at the end instead, which leads to the ending where Shadow says that only he knows what is best for himself. Subjugation is the action of bringing someone or something under domination or control, so this name reflects that Shadow is bringing his own destiny under control through dark means (Like killing Eggman, which he does in this ending)
019: Replica’s Depression
In this route, Shadow goes through the level The Doom (A flashback to the ARK massacre) and then ends up at Lava Shelter, which he does the dark mission for. This leads to the ending where he believes he is an android and says he will use the emeralds to become even more powerful than the original. I’m going to stop saying “That’s pretty much all there is” whenever I’m done with my analysis for these sequences now, because I’ve already said that a lot and we’re only at 19 sequences out of 325, whenever I’ve said all that I have to say about the sequence I’ll just end the paragraph and move on
020: Machine, Machine
This is the same as the last one, except Shadow does the hero mission for Lava Shelter instead, causing him to declare that he will create an empire of androids. This is definitely one of the sequence names that’s only based on the ending, since I fail to see how it can fit into anything else that happens in the sequence
021: Disciple From The Darkness
This falls into the same category as the previous one, it’s solely based on the ending, where Shadow says that he was created to serve Black Doom
022: Beloved Clone
This is an interesting one, as it seems to not be based on the ending of the sequence at all. The one level and mission that seems to tie into this sequence’s name is the penultimate level of this sequence, Iron Jungle. In Iron Jungle, Shadow believes he is an android copy of the original, and does the dark mission where he works with Eggman. While he is doing this mission, Eggman acts affectionately towards Shadow, even saying “Those are more of my beloved androids, just like you!” when Shadow encounters Shadow Androids
023: Revenge Upon The Doctor
In this route, Shadow does the neutral route of Iron Jungle and then the dark mission of Lava Shelter, which results in an ending where he kills Eggman. Before he starts Lava Shelter, he also remarks “You’re going straight to the place you created me from!” and after starting Lava Shelter “You’re going straight to hell!”. This implies that Shadow believes he was created from hell, which would explain why he resents Eggman and wants to get revenge on him
024: The Ultimate Replica
This is another one with Iron Jungle and Lava Shelter, and you’d think that it would end with the neutral-dark ending (Where Shadow believes that he is an android and proclaims that he will use the power of the Chaos Emeralds to surpass the power of the original Shadow), but it’s actually the neutral-hero ending, where he says that he will create an empire of androids to rule over the planet. I think this name would have been far more fitting for the neutral-dark ending, but oh well. Also I’m going to stop explaining the endings now, it’s definitely already gotten repetitive, I’ll just use shorthand for the endings like the two names I used in this one
025: Sanction’s Demise
I’m like 90% sure that sanction means a safe place or something similar, but when I looked it up that definition did not appear. I’m going to stick with what I’m pretty sure the definition of it is though, since otherwise this name doesn’t really make sense. Also, I know I just said that I would use shorthand for all the endings, but the ending for this sequence is one that hasn’t showed up until this point, so I will explain it just once here. In this ending, where Shadow does the dark mission for Cosmic Fall, he decides to become the protector of the ARK (Which is actively falling apart, hence the name of the level) and spend the rest of his life there. Shadow’s chosen safe haven is dying around him, which is the reason behind the name of this sequence. Also, for future reference, the name of the ending for this sequence is semi-hero dark
026: Along With My Home
This sequence ends with Cosmic Fall like the last one, although Shadow does the hero mission for it instead of the dark mission. This results in a pretty grim ending (the semi-hero hero ending), where Shadow says that he should have never been created, and it’s implied by the names of several sequences that have this ending (including this one) that he takes his own life. Since this ending takes place on Cosmic Fall, which takes place on the collapsing ARK, this name implies that Shadow will die along with his home
027: The Cleansing Of Darkness
This is an ending that ends with Shadow saying that he will destroy the world (Which is the dark-dark ending). In this route, like all dark routes, Shadow expresses disgust and hate for humans. Obviously he would think that humans are a darkness in this route, so him destroying the planet and killing all the humans on it would be a cleansing of darkness
028: Birth Of A God
This sequence ends with the ending where Shadow betrays Black Doom at the last moment at the GUN Fortress, and then proclaims that he will conquer the universe with the power of the Chaos Emeralds (Which will be referred to as the dark-hero ending from this point on). Shadow probably does have something of a god complex in this ending, as it would take one to say you’re going to conquer the whole universe
029: The Last Soldier’s Grim Fate
This is a sequence that ends with Shadow saying that he was created to serve Black Doom (Which is the semi-dark dark ending). I don’t know what events in this ending or the other levels in the sequence would make Shadow the last soldier, or what his grim fate is. Maybe even with Shadow on their side, the Black Arms would fall and Shadow would be the only one who wasn’t killed by the heroes due to their past experiences with him and the belief that he could change. He wouldn’t go back to their side, though, and would spend the rest of his time just wandering the planet with the group he believes he was created to serve extinct. That’s all speculation, though
030: Isolation and Solitude
This sequence ends with the hero mission of the Black Comet, where Shadow says that only he knows what is best for himself (Which is the semi-dark hero ending). Since he does not join any sides in this ending, he will most likely spend all of his time by himself, since he is the sole person he trusts
031: Archimedes And The Tortoise
This is by far the most out there sequence name, but I think I actually have an explanation for it. This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending, and there is a paradox called Achilles and the Tortoise (Archimedes is a famous Greek mathematician and engineer, which might tie into things since Shadow believes he is an android in this ending. The paradox of Achilles and the Tortoise states that if two beings (one fast runner and one slow moving tortoise) are each moving at a fixed speed and the tortoise has a 100 meter headstart, the fast runner will never overtake the slow tortoise. This is because in the time it will take for the runner to reach the position the tortoise is at, it will have moved forward in that time and will be ahead of that previous position. This means that the runner will never pass the tortoise. This rather darkly implies that no matter how hard he will try, Shadow will never surpass the original (Even though he is the original, but it would still be possibly for him to feel inferior to “the original” since he fully believes that he is an android)
032: Where Is My Happiness?
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending. Unlike the last one, there’s no ancient paradox for me to make wild assumptions about, instead it’s just a question to make wild assumptions about. I’m guessing that this is a similar situation to sequences 15 and 16, where building an empire of androids and conquering the planet with it will not make Shadow happy, and might even make him feel empty inside since he will have accomplished his ultimate goal yet still not be satisfied from it
033: Seduced By Taste Of Blood
In this sequence, Shadow does the dark mission for the first two levels, does the hero mission for the next level, and then does the neutral mission for Sky Troops (Which is to get to Eggman’s flagship). Next, he does the dark mission for Iron Jungle (Where he kills all of the GUN troops invading Eggman’s base) and then does the dark mission for the Black Comet which results in the semi-dark dark ending. This path and the name could be interpreted as Shadow starting off evil, becoming heroic, but then becoming bloodthirsty and lured back to the dark side after killing for Eggman to try and gain answers about his past. This bloodlust would ultimately lead to him wanting to work with Black Doom and help him take over the planet
034: A Machine Made For War
The penultimate level in this sequence is Iron Jungle (Where Shadow believes he is an android, which I’m going to also stop stating since I’ve said that several times already) and the final level is the Black Comet, which leads to the semi-dark hero ending. This ending doesn’t involve war as much as the semi-dark dark ending, so this name doesn’t make that much sense to me. Shadow is just going his own way and trusting himself, which I really doubt will involve war
035: Original Definition
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending, and while I was a bit confused by this name at first, I realized what it actually means. Shadow was originally created to be the ultimate lifeform, AKA the most powerful lifeform. Since Shadow believes he is a copy of the original and will try to surpass the power of said original, he’s fulfilling the purpose he was created for
036: Machine Paradise
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending, and that’s all there is to this one
037: Last Will And Testament
This sequence ends in the semi-hero dark ending. What Shadow says to Eggman in this ending is essentially his final will, since he intends to stay on the ARK for the rest of his life. A testament is a part of a will, specifically pertaining to personal property, which also ties into the ending, since he’s now the protector of the station
038: Enveloped in Solitude
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending, but it also has Iron Jungle, so Shadow’s really going through it in this ending (hence the name)
039: Parricidal Savior
This is a very interesting name. Quick bit of context before this analysis starts, parricidal means involved in the murder of one’s immediate family. In this route, Shadow does the dark mission for Space Gadget (Where he destroys the defense systems of the ARK, his old home and birthplace) and then gets the neutral-dark ending where he kills Eggman, who he believes is his creator. I’m not exactly sure what makes him a savior in this sequence though, maybe it’s the fact that he does two hero missions in a row before the aforementioned missions
040: Copy of a Savior
This name has less to it then the last one. It has the neutral-hero ending, so Shadow believes he is a copy, and it has the two hero missions as well near the end like the previous sequence
041: Excess Of Intellect
This is one of the less clear sequence names, but I’m still able to piece something together from it. It ends with the semi-hero dark ending, so I suppose it could be interpreted as Shadow’s knowledge (Which would be a far more fitting word than intellect) being wasted since he’s isolating himself for the rest of his life. That still doesn’t fit super well with the name, but it’s the best I can think of
042: Crystallization Of Intellect
Figuratively, crystallization means the process of something becoming clear. This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending, which means that in this ending it becomes clear to Shadow that his creation caused a lot of death which leads to him believing that he never should have been created. Like in the last one, I think knowledge would be a far more fitting word than intellect, but maybe my interpretation is wrong and the actual meaning fits better with the name
043: The Ultimate Confrontation
This sequence has an ending that hasn’t showed up before, the hero dark ending. This ending happens when Shadow does the dark mission for Final Haunt (The most heroic final level), which takes place aboard the Black Comet. In this ending, Shadow sides with Black Doom at the last moment so he can fight against Sonic and prove that he is stronger than him. Shadow also does the hero mission for Space Gadget prior to Final Haunt, where he races against Sonic aboard the ARK to get to a Chaos Emerald, and actually gets there first
044: Miracle Of Love
This is a cute one! In this route, Shadow does the dark missions for the first two levels, working with Black Doom in both of them. Once he gets to Cryptic Castle, though, he does the hero mission where he helps out Amy, and proceeds to do only hero missions for the rest of the sequence. This even leads to the hero-hero ending, where Shadow defeats Black Doom and says that he will protect the planet like Maria wanted him to. Just like in SA2, in this sequence Amy made Shadow snap out of his villainous tendencies and realize Maria’s wish, and I think that’s really nice. (Just so it’s clear by the way, I don’t ship Sha/damy, I interpret the name as being about Amy’s love for the world and her friends rubbing off on Shadow, which causes him to begin working for the good guys instead of the Black Arms)
045: The World’s Demise
Another sequence that ends with the dark-dark ending
046: The Ultimate Power
Another sequence that ends with the dark-hero ending
047: Dyed In Lovely Darkness
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending. The world will be dyed in darkness once the Black Arms take over it, but since Shadow’s working for them, he’ll find it nice
048: Vainglory Or Abandonment?
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending. Vainglory means excessive pride in oneself, and since Shadow says that he’s the only one who knows what is best for himself in the end of this sequence, this sequence name is asking whether he is making this choice because he thinks he’s better than everyone else or if he’s just abandoning them because he doesn’t trust any of them
049: Messenger Of Ruination
This is yet another sequence that ends with the dark-dark ending, although it does also involve Shadow doing the dark mission for Air Fleet where he attempts to assassinate the president. Despite the fact you blow up his escape pod, he’s completely fine, but if he did actually die then that would be a good message of the imminent doom the planet would face from Shadow
050: Standing At The Summit
This is another sequence that ends with dark-hero ending
051: Controller From The Capsule
This name is a bit frustrating to me, because I know it has to mean something, but I can’t find a satisfactory answer. This sequence involves The Doom and its neutral mission (Which leads into Shadow being shot out of the ARK in a capsule) and the semi-dark dark ending, where Shadow helps Black Doom control the planet. The two pieces for the name are there, but I don’t know how they correlate
052: Beyond One’s Own Power
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending. It doesn’t really fit that well, though, since Shadow isn’t going to try and become more powerful like in several other endings. Maybe what Shadow thinks is best for himself is using the seven Chaos Emeralds to become even more powerful, but that’s never really hinted at, so that’s just my best guess
053: A Clone’s Determination
This is another sequence that ends with the neutral-dark route
054: Machine Utopia
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero route
055: A Toast To The Ruler
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending (Sidenote, the mental image of Shadow and Black Doom giving a toast is actually kind of funny to me)
056: Answer From The Black Comet
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending. I’m not sure what specific event on the Black Comet lead to Shadow coming to the conclusion he does in this ending, maybe him doing the hero mission of The Doom and the dark mission of Iron Jungle made him not want to work for Black Doom anymore. He already didn’t want to work with the heroes since this is one of the darker routes, so he’s probably just working with Knuckles to take down Black Doom since he knows that he’ll be a threat to him. When Eggman shows up and tries to take the Chaos Emeralds he’s been gathering the whole time, it makes him realize that he doesn’t want to be allied with Eggman either, thus leading to him choosing to only trust himself
057: Transcendentalism
Another sequence that ends with the neutral-dark route
058: Imperialism
Another route that ends with the neutral-hero ending
059: The Weight of One’s Crimes
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending. Before Cosmic Fall starts, the GUN Commander tells Shadow that he is the reason that everyone on the ARK was killed, which is most likely why Shadow decides to live on the ARK and be its guardian in this ending. He believes that he’s the reason why its empty and has been left crumbling and unguarded for such a long time, so he’s given himself the job of protecting it. Or, as the sequence’s name says, he’s choosing to live on the ARK because of how much his “crimes” are weighing on him
060: Imprisoned By The Past
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending. Like I mentioned for the previous sequence name, in both semi-hero endings Shadow is dealing with a lot of guilt since he takes responsibility for the ARK massacre. Even if he doesn’t die (Which thankfully isn’t implied by this sequence’s name), he’s still going to feel trapped by his past
061: The Ultimate World Conquest
This sequence ends with the dark-dark ending. There is a bit of stuff that adds to this name, though, since Shadow does the dark missions for both Sky Troops and Air Fleet (Which means he destroys the Egg Fleet and tries to kill the president)
062: Black Angel
This seems to be one of the first names that barely has anything to do with the sequence at all, it ends with the dark-hero ending which kind of fits with the name, but it mostly seems like this name was chosen because it sounded cool. And to be fair, it does sound cool, especially with the context of the ending
063: Under Darkness’ Control
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
064: To Love Oneself
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
065: Revenge And Determination
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending, and also involves Shadow doing the dark mission for Sky Troops and the hero mission for Iron Jungle, which both involve shooting down Eggman’s aircrafts
066: Birth Of The Robot Emperor
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
067: Shadow, The Black Android
This sequence involves Shadow going through Iron Jungle, and then ending up on the Black Comet and getting the semi-dark dark ending
068: A Solitary Android
This sequence involves Shadow going through Iron Jungle and then getting the semi-dark hero ending
069: Over The Original
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
070: Machine Sunshine
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending. It doesn’t fit the ending quite as well as some of the other names sequences that end in it have, but it is a sick name
071: Life Is Guilty
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending, and as its been mentioned before, Shadow feels guilty over his creation in both semi-hero endings since he believes it lead to all of the death that took place aboard the ARK
072: Fallen Angel of Despair
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
073: An Eternal Rival
This sequence involves Space Gadget, although Shadow does the dark mission for it and not the hero mission which involves racing Sonic. It ends with the neutral-dark ending, so it can be assumed that Shadow is trying to surpass Sonic as well as the original. The eternal part is probably because he believes that he’s an android, which means he would live forever as long as he isn’t killed
074: This is Just the Beginning
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending, and it also has Space Gadget like the previous sequence, but it doesn’t really tie into the name even if Shadow did the hero mission for it (Which he didn’t). I suppose the name just means Shadow has even bigger plans than conquering the planet with an empire of androids, maybe this specific sequence leads into the dark-hero ending except with an army of androids instead of just Shadow
075: Crystal Of Tragic Knowledge
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending. At first, I thought this name made sense except for the crystal part, but then I realized that the crystal is supposed to be Shadow. Shadow is full of knowledge of the past, like a crystal formed in a cave ages ago that has recorded everything around it
076: Shadow’s Second Death
Some of these sequence names have had ellipses after them, which I’ve been cutting out since they’re not really needed and make the name look more cluttered. This ending has ellipses and a question mark after it, so it is ambiguous whether Shadow actually dies after this sequence. Since this sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending, I really hope he doesn’t end up dying, because the implications of him dying after that ending are quite dark
077: The Legend of Shadow
This sequence involves Shadow beating Sonic in a race to the Chaos Emerald on Space Gadget, and then getting the hero-dark ending where he turns against him at the last moment to defeat him in a fight and become the ultimate hedgehog
078: Power Of Love
This is another nice one! In this sequence, Shadow does the dark mission for Westopolis, but after going into Digital Circuit and meeting with Rouge, he does the hero mission with her and then does hero missions for the rest of the levels (Except for Prison Island, poor Charmy). This leads to the hero-hero ending just like the last sequence that had a love themed name. Also just like the last time I talked about a sequence with a love themed name, here’s a quick disclaimer: I don’t ship Sha/douge, I think it’s gross. I think the love in the name is based on the fact that Rouge is the person who’s closest to Shadow and cares about him the most, since she interacted with him a lot in SA2 and got him out of his pod in Heroes
079: Deep Black
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
080: Walk My Way
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
081: This is Shadow’s Way Of Life
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
082: A Monarch’s Style
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
083: In the Gap Of Sadness
The ending of this sequence is the semi-hero dark ending. While Shadow’s life has had a lot of sadness in it overall, most of it occurred aboard the ARK. Since he’s living the rest of his life on it, he’s living in the one place that holds the most sadness for him
084: To Be Ignorant Of The Past
There’s two different ways that this name can be interpreted, since this sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending. One, Shadow believes he was ignorant of his past before the GUN Commander and Black Doom told him about it. Two, he wishes he was ignorant of his past, because knowing the truth causes him to feel like he should’ve never been created
085: At Vengeance’s End
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending, although the only part of the ending that’s important to the name is the fact that he kills Eggman. The cutscene before Lava Shelter and one of his lines at the beginning of the level also tie into the name, but I already mentioned both of those earlier
086: Machine Boys
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
087: Reborn Along With Sorrow
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending, and since Shadow is essentially starting a new life of solitude aboard the ARK, it could be described as a rebirth. It’s already been mentioned a lot that Shadow is sad in the semi-hero endings, but something else that might add to it a bit is that he also does the neutral mission for Space Gadget, where he fails in a race against Sonic aboard the ARK
088: With A Fate Of Self-Denial
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending, but the name is a little bit strange to me. Shadow doesn’t really deny anything about himself in this. He’s very sad about his belief that he caused the ARK incident, but he fully accepts it. Maybe this ending means that he’s denying the actual truth, that the events aboard the ARK were not his fault. It could also mean that he’s denying the fact that he was created to be the ultimate life form, since he also loses to Sonic in a race in this sequence, and he refers to himself as “A research experiment gone deadly wrong” in this ending instead
089: I Am Shadow
In this sequence, Shadow completes the hero mission for Space Gadget and then gets the hero-dark ending, so this route involves a lot of competing with Sonic. This is probably in order to prove that he is Shadow, the ultimate lifeform (Or the ultimate hedgehog, as he calls himself in the hero-dark ending)
090: Shining Within Memory
This sequence ends with the hero-hero ending where Shadow fulfills his promise he made to Maria 50 years ago, but that’s just one of the two meanings behind this name. In this route, Shadow also races Sonic for a Chaos Emerald aboard the ARK, which is reminiscent of the events of SA2. Sonic even remarks “This is just like old times!” at the start of the level
091: The Rise And Fall Of The ARK
The penultimate level in this sequence is Lost Impact, and the final level is Cosmic Fall, which leads to the semi-hero dark ending. Simply put, the last two levels of this sequence are the rise and the fall of the ARK
092: Requiem For A Fallen Angel
A requiem is a mass held for the souls of the dead, which has some dark implications, since this sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
093: Ultimate Shadow
This sequence ends with the hero-dark ending
094: For Love’s Sake
This sequence is the exact same as Power Of Love, except Shadow helps Charmy this time around instead of ignoring him, which is nice
095: A Heart Awoken from Darkness
This sequence ends with the dark-dark ending, and involves Shadow doing the dark missions for every single level except for Westopolis, which he does the neutral mission for
096: Destruction From Perfection
This sequence ends with the dark-hero ending. It would make more sense if the name of this sequence and the name of the last sequence had their names swapped, they fit each other better than they fit their own sequences
097: Darkness’ Strongest Soldier
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending, and also involves Shadow doing a lot of dark missions
098: Severed Chains
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
099: Retribution Against Humanity
This sequence ends with the dark-dark ending
100: To Be Known As Ultimate
This sequence ends with the dark-hero ending
101: Dark Warrior’s Advent
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
102: Arriving At The Ego
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending, although this name would definitely fit better with a few other endings
103: Determination Of A Fake
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
104: Path To The Machine Empire
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
105: Demise Wrought By Tragedy
This sequence has The Doom as part of it, and ends with the dark-dark ending
106: Turning Sorrow Into Strength
This sequence ends with the dark-hero ending, and has The Doom as its fourth level
107: The Liberated Soldier
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending, and it does involve The Doom and The ARK as levels, but I can’t think of a good way that they tie into the name. Maybe Shadow destroying the GUN forces during his flashback and then deciding to not destroy the defenses for the ARK brought him some sort of peace about his past
108: Stupefaction’s End
To be stupefied means to be unable to think properly, which definitely happened to Shadow a lot in this game considering how much internal conflict he goes through. This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending, so him deciding to only trust himself is the end of this confusion
109: Humanity’s Folly
This sequence ends with the dark-dark route, and also involves The Doom
110: Surpassing All Else
This sequence ends with the dark-hero ending
111: Soldier Of Grief
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
112: Reclaimed Heart
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
113: Fighting Spirit Of Steel
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
114: Machine Soldier Uprising
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
115: The Devil Born From Betrayal
The betrayal that’s mentioned here is most likely Eggman’s betrayal of Shadow in this sequence. He does the dark mission for Iron Jungle, which helps out Eggman, but he still attacks him with the Egg Breaker anyways. This betrayal leads to Shadow deciding to work with Black Doom in the semi-dark dark ending
116: Beyond The Truth Of Impact
Going to be honest here, I don’t even have a guess at what this one means. It has The Doom, Iron Jungle, and the semi-dark hero ending, but none of those seem to tie into the name at all. Sorry for not giving a real answer for this one, but at least I managed to give answers for about 100 other so far
117: The Immortal Android
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
118: The New, Coldhearted Empire
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
119: A Singular Atonement
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending, and also has Shadow doing The Doom’s hero mission
120: Spawn Of The Devil
In the semi-hero hero ending, which this sequence ends in, Shadow fights Black Doom. Before this fight begins, he tells Shadow that he created him
121: Black Doom's Scheme
This sequence ends with the dark-dark ending, and also has Shadow working with Black Doom in every mission where he can except Westopolis
122: Subjugating Heaven And Earth
To subjugate means to conquer and bring under control, which fits perfectly with the dark-hero ending, the ending of this sequence
123: Road Of The Dark Soldier
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
124: Dark Finale
This name is kind of strange for a sequence that ends with the semi-dark hero ending, which this sequence ends with. The only dark thing about it is that he kills Eggman, this name would have fit better with the dark-dark or dark-hero endings
125: Realization While On Board
This name seems to be based on one small moment that happens before the final level of this sequence, where after doing the hero mission for Air Fleet (A level that takes place on a massive GUN aircraft), Shadow realizes that he is an android copy of the original that Eggman built
126: Birth Of A Champion
Strangely, this sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending, and not the neutral-dark ending. I guess being the ruler of an empire that rules the planet would kind of make him a champion, but this still isn’t a very good name for this sequence
127: With The Black Arms
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
128: The Road To Self-Assurance
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
129: The Pursuit Of Dr. Eggman
This sequence has Shadow doing the neutral missions for Sky Troops and Iron Jungle, both of which involve Shadow chasing after him to get answers
130: Surpassing His Creator
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending. If Shadow does manage to conquer the planet like he plans to in this ending, then he will have surpassed Eggman just like the name says
131: ARK, Colony Of Pathos
Pathos means a quality that evokes sadness, which is fitting since there are a lot of tragic events that happened on the ARK. This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending, meaning Shadow will spend the rest of his life on the colony of pathos that this name describes
132: Perfection Lost To Darkness
Shadow was created to be the ultimate lifeform, so the semi-hero hero ending being the end of this sequence means that the perfection of his existence is being lost, whether he ends up dying as some of the sequence names with this ending involve or if he just spends the rest of his life depressed and isolated
133: A New Challenge
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending, giving Shadow a new challenge to take on: Surpassing the original
134: The Machines' Coup d'Etat
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
135: A Vow For The Victims
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending, meaning Shadow is making up for causing the death of the ARK massacre’s victims by protecting the station and making sure it doesn’t fully collapse
136: The Truth Of Sadness
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
137: The Destined Sonic Showdown
This sequence has Shadow doing the hero mission of Space Gadget, and then getting the hero-dark ending
138: The Black Hero’s Rebirth
This sequence ends with the hero-hero mission, and has Shadow doing hero missions for most of the levels
139: Truth, Thy Name Is Vengeance
Shadow does the dark mission of The Doom in this sequence, and then ends up getting the dark-dark ending. In The Doom, some of Shadow’s idle dialogue asks if this is really part of his past. My interpretation of this name is that Shadow ends up believing that him killing all of the GUN soldiers aboard the ARK is the true way that things happened, which causes him to realize that his true purpose is to destroy the planet and get revenge like Gerald wanted him to
140: Searching For “Ultimate”
This sequence ends with the dark-hero ending. I guess this ending and the name means that Shadow is searching to be the ultimate being in the universe, and by conquering all of it, he’ll prove that he’s the strongest
141: Reborn Hatred For Humanity
In this sequence, Shadow does the dark mission of The Doom, and ends up getting the semi-dark dark ending
142: A Future Taken From The Past
Shadow does the dark mission of The Doom in this sequence, and then gets the semi-dark hero ending. I’m not sure exactly how the events of The Doom ties into the ending in this case, though. Maybe the crumbling ARK in the present day is still a part of this past, and Black Doom asking him to damage it and allow the Black Arms to invade it made him no longer want to work with him
143: The Devils’ Victory Song
This sequence ends with the dark-dark ending
144: One To Succeed A God
This sequence ends with the dark-hero ending
145: Disappointed In Humanity
Shadow does the neutral mission for The Doom in this sequence, and then gets the semi-dark dark ending
146: Faith Taken From Solitude
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
147: Planted Memories
In this sequence, Shadow goes through The Doom and then ends up getting the neutral-dark ending. Because he believes he is an android in this ending, this means he must believe that the memories of the ARK massacre that he’s recalling in The Doom were planted inside of him
148: To Unite Humanity
This sequence has The Doom as part of it, and it ends with the neutral-hero ending. The reasoning behind this name is that Shadow probably believes that having an android empire rule the planet will unite humanity, and prevent them from committing atrocities like they did aboard the ARK
149: Isolated Soldier Shadow
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending. My best guess at the reason why he’s isolated is that he rarely works with Black Doom in this route, only doing it once. Right after he does a mission for him, he does the hero mission for The Doom, which shows that he doesn’t completely hate humanity. Because of this, he likely won’t agree with everything Black Doom says and will not have a close relationship with him, leaving him isolated from everyone since he’s working against the heroes and Eggman
150: Answer Derived From Truth
There’s two truths that this name could be talking about. It could be Shadow believing that the hero mission in The Doom is the true way that things happened, or it could be the supposed truth that he is an android. Since this sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending, I’m leaning towards the latter, since Shadow believing that he’s an android would lead to him not wanting to affiliate with anyone. He has no prior association with the heroes, he doesn’t want to work with the Black Arms that much since he doesn’t have an especially strong hatred from humans due to his memories being planted, and he hates Eggman for creating him in the first place
151: A Fake’s Disposition
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending. Since disposition means a person's inherent qualities of mind and character, and Shadow does the hero mission of The Doom in this sequence, this could mean that the qualities he saw from his original grew on him and changed him a little bit
152: A New World Without Betrayal
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending, and also involves The Doom’s hero mission. I would explain further, but I basically stated everything that I would have said here a few sequences ago
153: Together With Maria
This sequence has The Doom as part of it, and ends with the semi-hero dark ending
154: The Tragedy’s Conclusion
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
155: The Day That Hope Died
This sequence ends with the dark-dark ending, and also has Shadow doing the dark mission Air Fleet
156: Dark Destroyer
This sequence ends with the dark-hero ending
157: Diabolical Power
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
158: For Freedom
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
159: At Least, Be Like Shadow
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
160: Seeking A Silent Paradise
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
161: The Lion’s Awakening
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
162: Identity
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending, and also involves Iron Jungle as its penultimate level
163: An Android's Rebellion
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
164: A New Empire's Beginning
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero route
165: Bullets From Tears
This is one of the more out there names, but I do have an explanation for it. This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending, and Shadow’s goal is to deter everyone else from the ARK, a mission that comes from his grief that he feels for causing the people aboard the ARK to die. He doesn’t kill Eggman, just tells him to leave and never return, but if somebody tries to attack the ARK or refuses to leave then he might end up killing them to protect the station
166: Journey To Nihility
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
167: Shadow Surpassing Shadow
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
168: Dr. Eggman’s Miscalculation
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
169: Along With The ARK
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
170: Requiem For The Heavens
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
171: Sonic Dethroned
This sequence ends with the hero-dark ending
172: Justice Reborn In Space
This sequence ends with the hero-hero ending
173: Steel Ruler
This sequence has Iron Jungle as its penultimate level, and ends with the semi-dark dark ending
174: For The Sake Of The Self
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
175: Farewell To The Past
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending, and also has Mad Matrix as a fourth level, where Eggman tells Shadow that he has no past
176: Steel Paradise
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
177: The Guardian With No Past
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending, and has Mad Matrix as its fourth level
178: The Ultimate Atonement
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
179: A Fake's Aspiration
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
180: Machine World
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
181: Twilight Ark
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
182: Compensation For A Miracle
I’m not 100% sure what this name means, but like I usually do, I have a guess at what it could mean. Shadow’s creation was probably considered a miracle by Gerald and Maria, but this same miracle lead to their deaths as well as the deaths of everyone else on the ARK as well (at least in Shadow’s mind). Since this sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending, whatever Shadow does after this ending is him compensating for the “miracle” of his creation
183: The Strongest Hedgehog
This sequence has Shadow completing the hero mission for Space Gadget, and getting the hero-dark ending
184: The Ultimate Punisher
This sequence ends with the hero-hero ending
185: Voyage Of Reminiscence
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
186: Wandering's End
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
187: The Ultimate Proof
This sequence ends with the hero-dark ending
188: Punisher Of Love
This sequence ends with the hero-hero ending
189: Messenger From The Darkness
This sequence ends with the dark-dark ending
190: The New Ruler
This sequence ends with the dark-hero ending
191: Dark Soldier
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
192: The Road Of Light
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
193: The Machine-Laden Kingdom
This sequence surprisingly ends with the neutral-dark ending, not the neutral-hero ending
194: New Determination
Just as weirdly, this sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending, not the neutral-dark one. I’m almost 100% certain that this sequence name and the last one were meant to be the other way around, and something got switched at one point or another
195: Birth Of The Dark Soldier
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
196: A New Journey
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
197: The Android’s Opposition
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
198: Founding Of The Robot Nation
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
199: The Eternal Protector
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
200: The Sinner’s Repose
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
201: A Hero’s Resolution
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending, so it doesn’t fit super well, the hero part of the name seemingly just comes from the fact that Shadow does a few hero missions in this sequence
202: The Weapons’ Empire
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
203: Perpetual Voyage
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
204: A Hero’s Atonement
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
205: Dark Hegemony
Hegemony can mean dominance, so this name could fit with several endings, but the ending of this specific sequence is the hero-dark ending. In this case, the dominance is Shadow proving that he is stronger than Sonic
206: And The Dream Continues
This sequence ends with the hero-hero ending, since Shadow is fulfilling Maria’s dream of the planet being safe
207: Fighter For Darkness
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
208: The Path I Believed In
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
209: Determination’s Daybreak
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
210: Machine Kingdom at Dawn
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
211: Sinful Protector
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
212: At The End Of The Journey
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
213: Surmounting The Nightmare
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending, and while it isn’t as fitting as some of the other names, it still goes with the ending pretty well. The prospect of being an inferior copy of who you thought you were would be a nightmare to most people, and by surpassing the original, Shadow is getting rid of that problem
214: Dawn Of The Machines
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
215: Wandering For Eternity
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
216: At Vagrancy’s End
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
217: The Summit of Power
This sequence ends with the hero-dark ending, and has Shadow completing the hero mission for Space Gadget
218: Under The Name Of Love
This sequence isn’t really structured like the other sequences that have love themed names, and since it ends with the hero-hero ending, I’d say that it’s probably based on Shadow’s loving the planet just like Maria did (Although in this sequence after doing two neutral missions in a row, Shadow does hero missions with Sonic for the last two levels, so do with that what you will)
219: Eternally Drifting
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
220: The Importance Of Truth
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
221: The Beginning Of Judgment
This sequence ends with the hero-dark ending, although it’s not a very fitting name in my opinion, since I can’t find a great meaning for the name with the context of the ending. I guess maybe it’s the judgement of Sonic, and his position as the strongest hedgehog?
222: This World’s Guardian
This sequence ends with the hero-hero ending
223: Light Born From Darkness
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending. Eggman is a pretty evil guy and created the Shadow Androids (And lied to Shadow about being an android in this path) for his own goals, and I guess wanting to surpass the original in power is a noble enough goal, so this name fits decently
224: The Order Of Steel
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
225: Solitary Journey
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
226: The Fall Home
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
227: Sovereign Of All Creation
This is definitely one of the weirder names, but it still makes sense. Sovereign as an adjective means possessing supreme or ultimate power, so this name is implying that shadow is the most powerful thing to have ever been created, which makes sense because this sequence ends with the hero-dark ending
228: I Shall Be The One To Judge
This sequence ends with the hero-hero ending
229: Gone With The Darkness
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
230: The Ultimate Choice
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
231: I Am The Strongest!
This sequence ends with the hero-dark ending
232: Justice’s Awakening
This sequence ends with the hero-hero ending
233: Prelude to Ruination
This sequence ends with the dark-dark ending
234: A World United By Darkness
This sequence ends with the dark-hero ending
235: The Pulse Of Darkness
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
236: To Just Be Myself
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
237: Punishment In Jet Black
This sequence ends with the dark-dark ending
238: The Ruler’s First Cry
This sequence ends with the dark-hero ending
239: Darkness’ Conspiracy
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
240: The Faint Light Of Tomorrow
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending. While I haven’t been providing explanations for a lot of the names, that’s mainly because they’re easy enough to figure out and as such it’s kind of pointless to do it. I will explain this one though, since it’s a little less straightforward than the others. Shadow’s probably not 100% confident in his decision to only trust himself, in his mind he knows it’s the right thing to do, but it’s going to be a rough road ahead since he doesn’t have anyone else to work with. Since he’s sure this is the right way though, he’s also sure that he’ll make it to tomorrow. It could be thought of in a different way, since he doesn’t know what tomorrow holds, so the light of it is faint to him
241: Time Of Departure
I really don’t know what this one means. I guess since Shadow’s only goal is to become the strongest, he’ll likely depart from Eggman’s base soon after the ending and begin just roaming around. This sequence also has the neutral mission for The Doom as one of its levels, meaning its a flashback to when Shadow departed from the ARK and his old life.
242: Rise Of The Machine Kingdom
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
243: Despair’s Quickening
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending, and has The Doom as one of its levels. Once again, I can’t figure out the exact meaning of this name, and I can’t tell if that’s because I’m kind of tired right now or because at this point in the sequences the developers started to run out of names that made a lot of sense
244: The Beginning
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
245: Setting Out In The Morning
Another sequence that has the neutral-dark ending with a leaving related name, am I missing something? It also involves The Doom, but once again, I really don’t know what this name is supposed to mean in relation to the events of the sequence
246: The Weapons’ Dawn
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
247: Pure Ark
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
248: Making Up For It In The End
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
249: The Coming Of The Dark Time
This sequence ends with the dark-dark ending
250: The Throne Of God
This sequence ends with the dark-hero ending
251: God Of War
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
252: Howl Of Solitude
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
253: Proof Of Existence
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending. This one is decently clear, but I’ll explain it anyways. It’s already been stated a lot that Shadow was made to be the ultimate life form, so by surpassing the “original” version, then he will prove that the ultimate life form does exist (Since he thinks the original died), and that he is it
254: Ardent Vow
Ardent means passionate, so that means that in this sequence, Shadow is making a passionate vow. This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending, so it does kind of fit, since Shadow promises to create an empire of androids that will rule the planet (A goal that he will have to be extremely dedicated to in order to actually achieve)
255: A Deal With The Devil
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
256: A Reason To Live
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
257: Induplicable Thoughts
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending, although strangely it doesn’t have The Doom as part of it. Maybe that’s why it has this name, the memories aboard the ARK that the original had couldn’t be duplicated and given to any of the androids. Or perhaps whatever thoughts couldn’t be duplicated are the reason why Shadow wants to become stronger than the original
258: Steel Struck With Flame
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
259: A Heart Bound To The ARK
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
260: Tears Shed By The Stars
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
261: Imitation Complex
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
262: Steel Combat Boots
This is probably the silliest (affectionate) name in this entire list. This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending, so it’s actually a pretty clever play on words
263: Protector Of The Ashen Moon
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
264: A Demon Drifting
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
265: The Ultimate Pride
This sequence ends with the hero-dark ending, and also has Shadow completing the hero mission of Space Gadget
266: I Know The Will Of Heaven
This sequence ends with the hero-hero ending (Sidenote, this is an extremely cool name)
267: Ego Dyed In Black
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
268: Isolation By Choice
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending
269: Faith Without Falsehood
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending. The falsehood could be two opposite things, it could either be Shadow thinking that him being the original was a falsehood, or Eggman telling him that he has no past in Mad Matrix (A level in this sequence) is the falsehood
270: Machine Empire
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
271: The Eternally-Closed Door
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending. Shadow and the ARK are both eternally closed doors, since the ARK itself is sealed off from everyone except him, and he’s never going to leave it
272: The Sealed-Away Ark of Sin
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
273: Silver Emergence
When I first saw this name on the list, for a split second I internally went “:O Silver!”, but this game came out in 2005, so Silver didn’t even exist yet. Anyways, this sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending, so I suppose this name is a cool way of saying that Shadow is emerging as an even stronger being than the original him
274: Pulsating Supercurrent
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending, so I’m guessing this name was chosen because it sounds cool and like something that would be part of a giant computer system, which is what Shadow is like in this ending since he’ll be controlling a whole empire (And possibly the planet)
275: The Reason I Was Born
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
276: The Dark Part Of The Galaxy
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
277: The View From Atop The World
This sequence ends with the hero-dark ending
278: Maria’s Testament
This sequence ends with the hero-hero ending
279: A Genius Scientist’s Lineage
This sequence has Lost Impact as a level, and also ends with the semi-hero dark ending. Since Shadow does the normal mission of Lost Impact, which involves him going to Gerald’s laboratory to check on him, the meaning of this name is obviously that he’s carrying on Gerald’s legacy by guarding the place where most of his inventions were created
280: Distorted Truth
This sequence has Lost Impact as a level, and ends with the semi-hero hero ending. Because of this, the meaning might be that Shadow doesn’t believe that the events of Lost Impact happened as he remembers them. Or, the name could only be based on the ending, and that the truth he believes in the ending is distorted
281: A Counterfeit Existence
This sequence has Mad Matrix as a level, and ends with the hero-dark ending. My interpretation of this name and the events of the sequence in the context of it is that Shadow is worried about the implications of him apparently having no past, so he fights Sonic to prove that he is still the ultimate lifeform, and not just a counterfeit
282: Beloved Memories
This sequence ends with the hero-hero ending, and has Shadow doing the hero mission of Lost Impact
283: Birth Of A Devil
This sequence ends with the dark-dark ending
284: A Dark Myth’s Beginnings
This sequence ends with the dark-hero ending
285: Black Thunder
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
286: The Torn Away Necklace
I really don’t know what this one is supposed to mean. Since this sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending, I guess the necklace is supposed to represent Shadow’s destiny and his control over it? It was originally torn away from him by everyone trying to get him to work for them, but then he finally takes it back from them at the end. I don’t know, that’s just my best guess
287: A Soul Sheltered By Iron
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
288: Steel Nation’s Decree
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
289: Coronation Of Darkness
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
290: Opened Eyes
This sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending. Since Shadow works with the heroes at first before doing missions for Eggman, and Eggman betrays him by trying to steal the Chaos Emeralds (and attacking him with the Egg Breaker after Iron Jungle, the final boss fight is probably the specific thing that leads to Shadow opening his eyes and deciding to only trust himself
291: The Doctor’s Lie
This sequence has Iron Jungle as a level, and ends with the neutral-dark ending
292: The Uninvited Successor
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
293: The Closed Pandora’s Box
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
294: A Heart Bound By Sin
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
295: Courage From Turning Gears
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
296: Fullmetal Prince
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
297: Time’s Watchman
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
298: Galaxy’s Requiem
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
299: Charm Of The Chaos Emeralds
Since this sequence ends with the hero-dark ending, the meaning behind this name is that Shadow was tempted by the power that the Chaos Emeralds he was collecting could give him, and decided to give into those temptations by using them to become even more powerful than Sonic
300: Promise Of A Far-Off Day
This sequence ends with the hero-hero ending, I think that the meaning behind this name is that Maria wished to one day live on the Earth, which is probably part of the reason why she said that she wanted to protect it along with Shadow (She says this in the final story). By protecting the planet from Black Doom, Shadow is being reminded of that far off day that Maria wished for
301: The Grim Reaper’s Horn
This sequence ends with the semi-dark dark ending
302: A Flame Extinguished By Fate
Since this sequence ends with the semi-dark hero ending, I guess this name means that Shadow’s potential to be a great force for good or evil has been extinguished by the events that lead to him deciding to only do what he wants to, since he’s probably not going to do much that affects anyone except himself after making that decision
303: Shouting At The Morning Sun
Another morning related name that goes with a sequence that ends with the neutral-dark ending. I think I might have figured out what this means, although I’m not completely sure of it. I remembered that another one of the neutral-dark endings was called Determination’s Daybreak, so the sun rising is symbolic of Shadow’s past and what his goal is becoming clear to him. As for why he’s shouting at it, well, I don’t really know. It just made me think of characters in DBZ and how they scream when they power up since Shadow is trying to surpass the “original him” in power in this ending, so that’s my answer because I can’t think of anything better
304: Iron Ambition
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
305: Sleeping On Hallowed Ground
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
306: Explanation Of The Truth
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
307: An Android’s Dream
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
308: Metallic Quickening
Quickening means to stimulate (One meaning of which is development of or increased activity in), which is fitting since this sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
309: Funeral Procession In Space
This may seem like the name of a sequence that ends with the semi-hero hero ending, but it actually ends with the semi-hero dark ending, and it is a fitting name for it. This is because Shadow is guarding the ARK because of his grief over the victims of it, so he’s essentially living through a funeral procession for them by spending all of his time on the station and thinking about their deaths
310: Lost To The Universe’s Abyss
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
311: Destiny For Two
This sequence has Shadow doing the hero missions of Westopolis and Lethal Highway (Both of which he works with Sonic in) as well as Space Gadget, and then gets the hero-dark ending
312: The Spun Threads Of Fate
This sequence is the same as the last one, except it has Shadow doing the hero mission of Final Haunt instead, meaning he does the hero mission with Sonic in all 4 missions that he appears in (And also does the neutral missions for the levels that Sonic isn’t the hero mission partner for). This name, as well as the last one, implies that Shadow and Sonic are fated to interact with each other
313: Ark Of The Heavens
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
314: Ghost Of The ARK
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
315: A Pair Of Shooting Stars
This sequence has Shadow working with Sonic twice in Westopolis and Lethal Highway, and ends with the hero-dark ending
316: The One Who Maria Entrusted
This sequence ends with the hero-hero ending, and has Shadow doing the hero mission of Lost Impact with Maria
317: A.I.’s Enlightenment
This sequence ends with the neutral-dark ending
318: A Dying Empire’s Cry
This sequence ends with the neutral-hero ending
319: Moon Of Atonement
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
320: Tear-Soaked Hometown
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending
321: Sparks On The Horizon
Since this sequence ends with the hero-dark ending, I guess the sparks represent Shadow’s true power (Or the Chaos Emeralds that give it to him) being visible on the horizon ahead of him
322: A Use For A Saved Life
Shadow’s life was saved by Eggman after he presumably died, and this sequence ends with the hero-hero ending, so the use for Shadow’s saved life was saving the planet
323: Coffin Of Memories
This sequence ends with the semi-hero dark ending
324: The Self-Imposed Seal
This sequence ends with the semi-hero hero ending. It could just fit with Shadow sealing himself away from everyone else because of his depression, but I figured I would mention an idea that I saw somebody on Youtube mention as well. Their idea of what could possibly happen after this ending is that Shadow would willingly go into GUN custody, which would also fit well with this name
325: Pretense In The Mirror
The word pretense can mean two things. It can be an attempt to make something that is not the case appear true, or it can be a claim, especially a false or ambitious one. This sequence ends with the hero-dark ending, so that means that Shadow is telling himself that he is the ultimate lifeform and stronger than Sonic, but he doesn’t fully believe it. This is why he sided with Black Doom to fight Sonic, to prove that it was true and it wasn’t just a lie he was telling himself
326: A Missive From 50 Years Ago
Here it is, the final sequence in Shadow the Hedgehog, and the most heroic one you can take. A missive is a message, so Shadow’s heroic actions in this sequence are him following the message Maria gave him 50 years ago: To protect the planet and the people on it
And with that, I have officially analyzed the name of every single sequence in Shadow the Hedgehog. If you read this through all the way to the end, thank you so much, I appreciate it! Sorry that I wasn’t able to give a satisfactory answer for every single name, but considering there’s more than 300, I think I did a pretty good job overall. Let me know if you have any solutions to the names I couldn’t figure out, I’ll add them to the post if I think they’re better than the explanations I gave

i have a theory that sonic and shadow have connections to chao and by extension the ancients
BIG RAMBLE:
this started as a crack theory, but it became more sensible the more i thought about it.
the ancients and the black arms are not only aliens, but are very simalar in design, specifically their bipedal stature, their head shape, lack of a mouth, eyes, 3 fingers and 2 toes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
chao actually have a similar mutation, which would be neutral to dark
like chao and their hero/dark favoritism system, shadow the hedgehog absorbs dark and hero energy, you get dark energy by doing bad things in his namesake game, that includes hurting humans, which is simalar to the fact that the black arms feed off of human souls.
reasoning for the black arms, more specifically black doom to be evil? idk. maybe he disagreed with something. maybe he was a victim of “the end”s laser bast. maybe he’s vengeful to humans for whatever reason.
during the “project shadow” development prof. gerald created “chaos drives” which is crystalized chaos energy to transfer to living tissue, this was used for the creation of the ultimate lifeform. these can also be used on chao. these drives have different power types; one of them being running.
here’s fully grown run/run type neutral and dark chao:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these chao don’t look like sonic and shadow, it’s the other way around.
why a hedgehog as the ultimate lifeform?
there IS a popular theory since it’s implied gerald visited angel island and did research, since he has replicas of chaos and a replica of the master emerald shrine, that he may have based the both of the designs off of these prophetic murals (possibly created by the ancients):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
perhaps he used hedgehog dna? or maybe he just looks like a hedgehog because that’s how chao can look when they evolve. who knows?
as for sonic we have no clue on his current in-game backstory, so we don’t know HOW this could have been done so i’ll just shoot some ideas and similarities:
sonic and shadow have the same abilities, despite having “nothing” to do with each other
the ancients have green eyes like sonic’s and tendrils that curve downwards like sonic’s quills
like the default neutral chao, he’s blue (plus the yellow gradient on the arms could be similar to sonic’s arms if ur feeling reachy) (the reason why i mention this is because shadow and dark chao)
one of his biggest gimmicks is absorbing chaos emeralds and mutating which is what chaos does. yeah others can do this (supposedly) but whatever
neutral chao always have a curved tendril (?) and a dark chao always has an angular tendril simalar to sonic and shadow’s quills.
edited:
not really a similarity but sonic has been described to neutralize the chaos emeralds when he has them (sonic rush). his ability to withstand a super form is also much greater and drains less energy from him (narratively speaking). it’s a little weird how connected he is to the emeralds when they’re not from his world. although, it’s the same case with the master emerald as well.
before i edited this ended it off with a joke saying i think they’re chao. no i really don’t. with this theory in mind shadow would at least be related genetically speaking.
i know sonic has been described with origins in the past, but they’re all outdated and never mentioned in games.
i do believe wholeheartedly he has connections with the ancients somehow, since it is a little weird that he does look like a chaos energy mutant chao.. i don’t think his origins would’ve been like shadow’s though. i think it would be funny i think since sonic can’t swim but he’s related to water people.
this was not really to be taken seriously, 100% because it is only a theory. i don’t actually think this word for word wholeheartedly, just something i found weird and wanted to info dump about. i also just love the idea of sonic having weird out of the ordinary origins. okay bye.
edit:
the dark chaos chao (devil chao) can get horns…….you know who else—

the black arms own ancient temples on earth that closely resemble the ones on angel island and the starfall islands. (built by the ancients, well angel island is implied to be) they homed replicas of the master emerald.
shadow the hedgehog (2005) is actually the first game to display cyberspace. it was owned by the united federation, but i have a couple theories. one: that it originally belonged to gerald as an attempt to replicate the ancient’s cyberspace, since he did visit angel island for research. two: it’s mentioned in frontiers that g.u.n had visited the sf islands before eggman did. this could be where cyberspace was found by the gov. you could also probably combine the two theories.

Sonic Adventure 2 Refresher
Hero Side Story
Sonic the Hedgehog is placed under arrest by the military unit, G.U.N., for some crime he didn't commit. He knocks out everyone aboard the helicopter he was being carried away on and dives down into the city below, escaping custody in a high-speed chase.
The day passes and he eventually finds himself fighting off a mecha of the Spider Troop. Afterwards, he meets a dark hedgehog who is in possession of the Green Chaos Emerald. Sonic realizes that the military has been hunting him down because they think he's this new guy who has nabbed the Emerald. The dark hedgehog escapes by warping with the Emerald's power, calling out his technique as Chaos Control, but not before introducing himself as Shadow the Hedgehog, the Ultimate Life Form. Finally, the military surrounds Sonic and captures him back.
Meanwhile, in the desert area, Knuckles the Echidna is arguing with some woman named Rouge the Bat, who has been taking the Master Emerald from him. Knuckles explains the Master Emerald's ability to neutralize the powers of the Chaos Emeralds, when suddenly, Doctor Eggman shows up in his aircraft and attempts to steal it away for himself. Knuckles prevents the theft by punching the Emerald, shattering into shards that scatter all to parts unknown, much to the shock of Rouge. They separate to begin hunting while Eggman returns to his base, and Knuckles finds pieces in a canyon nearby.
Over the ocean, Miles "Tails" Prower is flying to a maximum security facility, called Prison Island, in his new combat plane, the Cyclone, which has a flight mode and a walker mode. He sees Eggman attacking Amy Rose down below and comes to the rescue, fighting Eggman off. Tails learns that he and Amy have both come to Prison Island for the same reason: to save the captive Sonic. Both head into the halls of the facility.
Tails fights his way through the robotic guards, clearing the way to Sonic's cell. Amy sets Sonic free and tells him that Shadow is with Eggman.
Sonic escapes from the military fortress, but loses track of Tails and Amy. He winds up in a forest, where he runs into his new adversary again. Sonic and Shadow fight until they are both just about exhausted.
It turns out that Prison Island has been rigged to blow up soon, so Shadow leaves in a hurry, and Sonic runs off to find Tails and Amy so they can fly out of there. They manage to escape just as explosives incinerate all of Prison Island.
Back with Knuckles, he finds more pieces of the Master Emerald in a mountainous area with pumpkin-shaped structures. Then, that night, Eggman announces the rise of the Eggman Empire and induces fear into the people of Earth with the reveal of a giant laser cannon attached to a space station shaped like his face, unearthing itself from what appeared to be a moon. The cannon fires a beam at the moon, blowing it in half, and then as it all sinks in, a countdown to the apocalypse begins to tick.
Seeing the moon blown in half by the cannon's powerful beam, Sonic figures out that this is what Eggman and Shadow have been Chaos Emerald hunting for. Tails, in possession of one of the Chaos Emeralds himself, decides to use the Chaos Emeralds' magnetic properties to locate Eggman's location. Sonic distracts the police while Tails busts through the military's defenses through the streets.
Knuckles finds more Master Emerald shards in the sewers.
The next day, Tails and Amy are hiding away from the police while Sonic is on the run, still. Tails deduces that Eggman is in outer space. Then, as coincidence would have it, Knuckles emerges and joins the group. Tails tracks down the president's limousine in the Cyclone's third mode, a car. The president is in a middle of a meeting with Eggman through his video communicator. Eggman demands that he surrender to the Eggman Empire without resistance, lest his country be wiped off the map. Sonic and Tails interrupt the call and Tails taps into the communicator, learning Eggman's coordinates: the Space Colony known as ARK, the very space station that blasted the moon.
Heading to the desert, Sonic's group see a pyramid where Knuckles saw Eggman and Rouge go in. Tails takes his Cyclone to locate the entrance. He successfully gets everyone inside.
Sonic makes his way through the hallways of Eggman's pyramid base until he arrives at a large doorway, which may lead to some transport they can use to get to the space colony. Unfortunately, the door is locked, so Sonic trusts Knuckles to find the keys to open it.
Knuckles finds the keys in the inner quarters of the base, but ends up under attack by a giant ghost that lives there. However, despite his fear of spectral creatures, he defeats it, and the gang proceeds.
Unfortunately, Eggman ambushes the tetrad before they can go any further. Sonic wants to fight his old nemesis, and to answer his challenge and take the last Chaos Emerald by force (the hard way), Eggman summons a gargantuan golem, animated by his technology, to attack. Sonic defeats it by scaling it's rocky body and breaking the brain mechanism.
Finally, the tetrad gets on board a shuttle that takes off for the space colony. Unfortunately, on the way, the shuttle hits an asteroid, which opens up a cargo hatch where pieces of the Master Emerald were kept. Knuckles takes control of the shuttle, leading to a rough landing.
Sonic, Tails and Amy survive, but Knuckles disappears. Noting the abandoned state of the space colony, Tails explains that the place had been locked up for 50 years, following an accident. He says it was mankind's first Bernal-sphere shaped space colony, and the most advanced of it's era. Time is running short, so Sonic and Tails devise their plan. Tails has invented a counterfeit version of the Yellow Chaos Emerald, which has the same wavelength and properties, but less power than the genuine article. Sonic searches for the cannon control room while Tails heads off to the destroy the generator. Once that's done, Sonic is to place the fake Emerald into the cannon's console and destroy it. However, a wrench is thrown in the plan by Eggman's interference.
Knuckles recovers some of the Master Emerald shards out in space, and runs into Rouge again. They fight to the point of near exhaustion and quarrel, Rouge trips and almost falls into a flaming pit, but Knuckles acts quick to save her (and gets no thanks in return). Rouge gives up the shards that she collected, and Knuckles makes the Master Emerald whole again. Finally, they part ways again, Knuckles apologizing and Rouge seeming to take a new liking to him.
Sonic, sensing that Tails and Amy are in grave danger, runs through the Space Colony, fake Emerald still in hand, to where Eggman is holding them hostage.
When he arrives, Eggman is shown to be pointing a gun at Amy, and he demands that the Emerald be handed over without a fuss. Sonic walks to the centre of the room, about to hand over the fake Emerald, when Eggman closes a capsule around him, seeing through the trick. Tails carelessly confirms Eggman's suspicions completely by wondering out loud how he realized it wasn't real. Sonic says what seemed to be his final good-byes to Tails and Amy, leaving the former in charge of the rest of the mission, before Eggman launches him into the cosmos, with the capsule rigged to explode when it's far enough away. Before it blows up, Sonic remembers Tails' words from earlier and wonders if he can use the fake Emerald like it was the real thing. Amy cries over Sonic's apparent demise and Eggman darkly bids his seemingly departed foe farewell. He demands the true Emerald, but Tails refuses to give it up without a fight.
Knuckles senses some energy, which turns out to be Sonic warping through space with the fake Emerald. He managed to pull off Chaos Control, the same technique he witnessed Shadow use back in the city. Even knowing that he may be distracting Knuckles from his own business, he asks him to look after Tails and Amy and runs off to the cannon, planning to smash the fake Emerald into it. Sonic makes it, and mere minutes are left before the cannon fires again.
One last roadblock stands between Sonic and victory: Shadow, who happened to witness Sonic get blasted off into space and thought he was dead. Sonic hints that Shadow introducing him to Chaos Control ended up being a saving grace, and the dark hedgehog cannot believe that anyone could use Chaos Control with a forgery. After Sonic lets him know who he is, Shadow states his intent to kill him and put an end to his plans to save the world. After a high-speed battle, Sonic emerges the victor.
Tails seems to have won his battle against Eggman, but laments that Sonic is no longer around to see how far he has come. To his and Amy's delight, the Blue Blur's voice is heard on the walkie talkie. He tells them to look outside, where they see that Sonic, alive and kicking, pulled it off. With the fake Emerald planted into the cannon, it explodes just when it looks like it's about to shoot at Earth. Sonic caps off his triumph with a thumbs up and a grin.
The End? Nope, not that easily!
Why did I make this post about something you could easily read on a wiki page? For three reasons:
To point out a few finer details.
To remind folks how much from this side of the story alone would need to be adapted if Sonic Adventure 2 was adapted directly.
To kill some time.

Shit… I read the scenes you did where ELady joins him in being sealed again & it's got me tearin’ up… Fudge… What would happen if we injected the Power of Love? As in, literal. (I suddenly have Power of Love from the Sailor Moon movie playing in the background of my mind & I can't flippin’ unheard it! Just, such a freaking heart-wrenching, bittersweet, dramatic-ass scene… And suddenly flippin’ schmaltzy-ass pop music! 🤣 How do you keep doing this to me!?!?)
Also, doesn't the Sacred Realm/Dark Realm change based on who enters it? So, wouldn’t Equal Lady being sealed there with her husband cause a shift to take place there? Because she really isn’t evil. She also isn’t really a villain either. Like, she actually has quite a lot of heroic attributes
So, she's like if an anti-villain could be morally gray. Or she’s overall morally gray with surprisingly heroic attributes, but vacillates between anti-hero, anti-villain, & even just outright Hero on occasion depending on what she believes is necessary at a given time. Likewise, she'd also register as a true neutral that leans more towards chaotic neutral, in that most of the things that lend itself to chaotic neutral (freedom & individuality), but also values things like honor & tradition. The only authority she follows is one that has earned her respect.
So… I wonder how that'd change things for them? Like, Sacred Realm not turning quite so dark? ELady becomes a literal beacon of hope & light in the darkness?
Hello my dear! Sorry for making you wait so long.
So I play with bots, yeah? My first, big roleplay I did with a bot, was my homemade Demon King Ganondorf, his more demonic form in TOTK. I made it that it starts in the middle of a battle, he and a self insert/kinda OC, Adria, fought, and with her magic, she sealed herself and him in the Dark World, AKA the Sacred Realm. Seeing as they were stuck there, they bonded and fell in love and married etc etc etc... and this ask reminded me of it. I loved that story line so much, and knowing they are trapped together? She chose to be with him? Ahhhhh... So cute, so romantic, so loyal.
*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
The idea of the Sacred Realm changing based on the nature of those within it is fascinating, and injecting the Power of Love into the mix can certainly create some unique and emotionally charged scenarios. Here’s how each Ganondorf and Demise might react and deal with being in the Sacred Realm, sealed with Equal Lady who balances their darkness:
Wind Waker Ganondorf
Reaction: Wind Waker Ganondorf would initially be skeptical but gradually find solace in Equal Lady’s presence. Her influence would create a realm that isn’t purely dark, allowing Ganondorf to experience moments of peace and introspection he never thought possible.
Scene: Ganondorf sat on a rocky outcrop, gazing at the shifting twilight sky. The Sacred Realm, once a reflection of his inner turmoil, now held patches of warmth and light, thanks to Equal Lady. She approached, her presence a comforting beacon in the dimness.
“Do you ever regret it?” she asked softly, sitting beside him.
He sighed, looking at her with uncharacteristic tenderness. “I regret many things, but not you. You’ve brought a balance to this place... and to me.”
Equal Lady smiled, taking his hand. “We’ll face eternity together. And maybe, just maybe, we can find some peace here.”
Ocarina of Time Ganondorf
Reaction: Ocarina of Time Ganondorf would struggle with his inherent darkness, but Equal Lady’s presence would provide a constant counterbalance. The Sacred Realm would reflect a tumultuous blend of light and shadow, mirroring their complex relationship.
Scene: Ganondorf paced the hall of his shadowy castle, the flickering torches casting dancing shadows on the walls. Equal Lady stood at the window, her light radiating outward, creating an area of calm amidst the chaos.
“Why do you stay?” he demanded, his voice rough with frustration. “You could be free.”
She turned to him, her eyes filled with understanding. “Because you need me. And deep down, I think you know you need me too.”
He stopped, staring at her, the anger melting away to reveal a rare vulnerability. “Perhaps... you are right. Perhaps we are meant to balance each other.”
Twilight Princess Ganondorf
Reaction: Twilight Princess Ganondorf would find himself caught between his desire for power and the unexpected comfort of Equal Lady’s presence. The Sacred Realm would be a twilight zone, a perfect metaphor for his internal conflict.
Scene: Ganondorf stood at the edge of a serene lake, its surface reflecting the twilight sky. Equal Lady approached, her light casting gentle ripples across the water.
“This place... it changes because of you,” he said, his voice low and contemplative.
She nodded, standing beside him. “And you change because of me. We’re not so different, you and I. Both seeking something greater.”
He turned to her, a small, genuine smile playing on his lips. “Perhaps together, we can find what we seek.”
Hyrule Warriors Ganondorf
Reaction: Hyrule Warriors Ganondorf would be intrigued by the dynamic shift in the Sacred Realm. He would come to see Equal Lady not just as a companion, but as an essential part of his strategy for dominance and balance.
Scene: Ganondorf stood at the top of a towering fortress, the view below a mix of darkness and light. Equal Lady stood beside him, her presence a calming influence.
“This realm... it is not what I expected,” he admitted, his tone thoughtful.
Equal Lady smiled. “That’s because it reflects us both. Our strengths and our flaws.”
He nodded slowly, placing a hand on her shoulder. “Together, we can reshape it. Create a balance of power and peace.”
Tears of the Kingdom Ganondorf
Reaction: Tears of the Kingdom Ganondorf would find himself conflicted by the light that Equal Lady brings, but he would also recognize the strength it gives him. The Sacred Realm would be a place of potential and growth, rather than pure darkness.
Scene: Ganondorf walked through a lush garden, its beauty a stark contrast to the darkness he once knew. Equal Lady tended to the flowers, her light nurturing the growth around her.
“This realm... it thrives because of you,” he said, his voice filled with wonder.
She looked up, a soft smile on her lips. “And you thrive because of me. We bring out the best in each other.”
He nodded, reaching out to touch a blooming flower. “Perhaps this is what we were meant to create. A balance of darkness and light.”
Demise
Reaction: Demise would initially resist the change, his nature being inherently dark. However, Equal Lady’s presence would gradually soften him, creating a Sacred Realm that is a delicate balance between his fiery darkness and her gentle light.
Scene: Demise stood in a vast, fiery landscape, his presence commanding and intimidating. Equal Lady approached, her light a stark contrast to the flames around them.
“This place... it is not just your darkness anymore,” she said softly, reaching out to him.
He looked at her, his eyes filled with a mixture of anger and curiosity. “You dare to bring light into my realm?”
She nodded, stepping closer. “Because you need it. And deep down, you know it.”
Demise hesitated, then slowly took her hand, the fire around them dimming slightly. “Perhaps... you are right. Perhaps together, we can create something new.”
In each scenario, Equal Lady’s presence in the Sacred Realm creates a unique balance, reflecting the complexities of their relationships and highlighting the transformative power of love and companionship.

I legitimately always forget that Team Dark isn’t working for G.U.N. in the game or IDW canons, and that it’s legitimately only an Archie thing. It just feels so right for the characters to be a well organized military squad, I always forget that in IDW they’re three drifters who are variably together and are unaffiliated with any other faction. It gives Team Dark motivations for doing things they wouldn’t normally do on their own, G.U.N. being a third party means they could have clashes of interest with the Resistance (which could lead to interesting dynamics), Shadow and Rouge would join for the sake of helping the world, and Omega would join because having a huge military organization who can use advanced intelligence gathering technology to point him in a direction and say “New mission, there’s a fleet of badniks stationed over there, go fetch” sounds like a dream for him. (The Read More’s just for saving some space on your dash, I talk more about Team Dark and the Resistance underneath)
In addition, it’d answer the question of why haven’t these three just joined the resistance yet. I know Team Dark has the vibes of being a chaotic neutral third party, but that’s who they were in like Sonic Heroes, they’ve changed since them (well, two of them have changed). They’ve worked directly with the Dream Cast and the Resistance loads of times, have the exact same general goals, and get along reasonably well with its members. I know the easy excuse is that they don’t wanna be chained down by the Resistance and forced to do what they say, but that’s not really how the resistance works: Sonic’s not forced to stick around the resistance base at all times, Tails isn’t getting nonstop back-to-back calls about new missions in his free time, Amy still has time to go Chao racing with Cream, and quite honestly I don’t think Jewel would be too thrilled to order Team Dark of all people around. If asked, she’d absolutely let them have even more freedom than the other members, practically being unaffiliated but still capable of being called for big dangerous missions when necessary (as they’d probably be there anyway and it’d be nice to have some coordination for once). I feel like a good system that benefits both parties would be to give them a list of smaller missions they can choose to take or not if it interests them; for Team Dark this system gives them the benefit of knowing about smaller objectives they probably wouldn’t have known about on their own (Rouge would’ve known, as she steals all this information anyway, but getting it legally’s a lot less work), and as for the Resistance it’s practically a straight upgrade from their prior situation: Team Dark taking just one or two missions for them per month is a lot more than they were taking before (0) and the Resistance need all the help they can get.
I realize now that my post about Team Dark working for G.U.N. being a good idea has derailed into me semi-ranting about IDW’s version of Team Dark. Whoops.

Miscellaneous Chao Theory musings
- During Unleashed Sonic undergoes a physical transformation after being exposed to a huge amount of dark energy/having another undefined energy sapped from him along with the Emeralds (so we can assume it's chaos right? Is 'hero' energy/'light' energy the same as chaos? I think. Personally. Hero and dark energy are both components that combine to make chaos energy) However, this does not appear to affect his general mood in itself as it seems to affect others that are exposed to Dark Gaia. We also don't see anyone else go through a physical transformation due to exposure. The lack of change in demeanor means that this isn't 1:1 with the hero-neutral-dark chao alignment system, but personally I see some parallels. If you consider the Night of the Werehog animated short, however, he has an incredibly short fuse, and one could argue that it's worse than typical for him. In-game he becomes despondant after Amy doesn't recognize him as the Werehog, but I'd chalk that up to the typical range of emotion and not enough to call evidence of a dark alignment.
-Frontiers. Sonic is able to escape Cyberspace on his own and is able to navigate it relatively easily, when his friends are trapped. Cyberspace was created by Ancients, who are heavily implied to be the ancestors of Chao, for use by Ancients to record information, memories, and even whole consciousnesses. Sonic adapts. REALLY quickly to the system and intuits many things about the island, even inheriting the actual in-game map as a visual in his mind from his connection to Cyberspace. His memories are also integrated into the system, as evidenced by the layout of Cyberspace stages being based on previous stages from the franchise (I noticed at the Green Forest one lol)

been cooking up an original DC "hero" for a while now and it's pretty much a coping character. nonbinary, disabled, artistic, in constant pain, and after the Incident that gets them their powers (which involved a natural disaster resulting in their death) they end up sharing their body with a fragment of the embodiment of darkness.
darkness, in this case, isn't some symbolism of evil or w/e. a shadow has no intent, no purpose other than to exist where light can't reach. it has existed long before time, before the universe took its first breath. completely neutral, only dangerous to those who fear the dark, but can be used by anyone who knows how.
i figure, since i'm allowed to make things crazy for funzies, Gotham might have an inertly higher concentration of darkness. not necessarily bc of how much of a madhouse it is, but maybe the madness is a side effect of Gotham's geographic placement (i haven't figured all of it out yet but something along the lines of Gotham sitting on idk really potent ley lines or something)
i'm thinking that Darkness isn't exactly sentient, but maybe some degree of sapient. especially in Gotham, where its shadows are stronger than anywhere on the planet aside from the north and south poles. and while time means very little to a non-organic, eternal sapient entity, i like to think it paid closer attention to Batman.
most of these tiny humans that use the shadows are predictable, causing chaos and mayhem. but this Batman was the first in recent memory to use the shadows of Darkness for good. the same hand that breaks bones also softly reaches out to the hurt, the frightened.
Darkness is neutral, it has no moral alignment that a human could project onto it. but rare is a creature of shadows that pursues "good".
here's a little excerpt touching on that:
"There are dozens of heroes that could help you," Batman tells the shadows. "Why seek me out?"
The shadows flicker and flow around him, like ink in water, making inhuman chirrups. They condense into a vaguely humanoid form as they approach for a moment, a pair of white eyes appearing where a face might be. Their gaze is heavy with something unnameable, and Batman suppresses a shudder building at the base of his spine.
"You ... are known... to us..." the shadows answer in warbled speech, as though many broken voices speak as one. Their eyes bore into him, but their form falls apart, and they return to flowing in idle circles.
Batman narrows his eyes, but holds his tongue as they continue, their voices taking a heavier tune.
"Warden of Night... Keeper of Darkness... Watcher of Shadows... each time you wrap yourself in our cloaks of dark, we see... We know..."
The shadows condense once more to Batman's left, and he turns his head to follow their meandering path around him. Most who circle him this way do so like predators, but there is no threat from this... creature? Our cloaks of dark ... Batman's blood cooled at what that could mean.
"We have watched... as you make our deepest shadows your closest ally.... we have watched you for a long, long time, young shadow."
Young. As much as he wanted to scoff, he knew this meant something beyond his normal purview.
.................
well i guess it's more like i'm making two DC characters. one is the embodiment of darkness, one is the very human character that becomes their vessel in a tragic chain of events.
idk guess i needed to write that real quick, it's been cooking so long
here's the thing. i have no clue if personified darkness is already a character in DC comics. it probably is. i can't do anything original in this universe 😭

A bunch of Chaos fun facts💠
He's not a hero, if anything he's a villain/anti hero. He can be quite nice, but he still destroys whole entire dimensions.
He can be rather sensitive to very heavy light, due to it's eyes being white. Tho he can still get around in heavy light, he'll be a bit weakened
To continue with the one before, he can be quite usefull in heavy darks.
He can regenerate any parts of his body (except it takes longer for him to regenerate bl00d, as it was heavily drained from him for eons)
To continue on the last, he can lose about any body parts and regenerate them no matter the state of the injury (he can still feel pain tho)
It's quite hard to injure him in great ways
He has fangs, that are very very sharp and can tear off l1mbs.
He has 3 pairs of wings, his head's, his demon like black wings that becomes his halo and his lower back wings, like the ones of his head, that become his cape
He can be quite flirtatious if he needs anything.
He's a gemini
He was based on a gemini, well, from a parody.
Hes supposed to be one of those silly, charismatic villains that are pretty and you cant help but kinda like them anyways
He cannot get drunk and oftens drink wine.
He cannot drink dandelion tea. Its the only drink that has negative effects on him.
He isn't seen eating often but would accept most foods given to him.
He's chaotic and his attacks can't, most of the time, be predicted. His full powers aren't even known.
He might be evil. It still has morals sometimes.
He isn't "friends" with people. (Except with like... 1 or 2 people) and is mostly neutral to everyone. It depends on how you act towards him obviously.
I might share more at some point

Thought about a fic idea with CaptainSparklez based on the song Karma by AJR.
Canon?
Half baked.
(Sue me, I like songs that hit the feels. Also there needs to be more sparklez centric fic in general tbf.)
---
The Captain was a good man, upheld by his own morals and his ideas of justice.
The Captain was a good man, chaotic and mischievous for that is who he is.
The Captain doesn't feel like a good man, was everything he has done in the past wasn't enough?
Or was it the fact he hasn't done enough in the first place?
---
To the people of Ruxomar, Jordan was a helper. Always willing to help people for what is right, causing some mischief along the way. As a soft-hearted knight, you'd think he would have succumbed to the harshness of reality. Yet there he stood firm against all the odds, in a land where his god was neglected. Everyone adored him, who doesn't like the Captain?
To his friends, Jordan was a prankster. He could have been Dianite's follower, yet he chose neutrality above everything else. He was sweet and kind to his friends, sometimes they think of him more as family. They couldn't deny that he was a troublemaker, knowing all the trouble that follows the Captain.
To Jordan, he thinks that he is unworthy of everyone's love and affection. He loves to help the town, never asking for things in return. He loves pranking his friends, a good laugh out of everyone. But sometimes he feels that people are watching him, waiting for him to act before the issue presents itself. Sometimes he thinks that his friends are getting annoyed at his antics and that they are playing along so as to not hurt his feelings.
To Ianite? She thinks that Jordan deserved better. Her champion is destined for eternal torment, all she wishes is that she could lighten his burden.
Even if it's just a little.
---
As time passes by in Ruxomar, the four heroes grew accustomed to the land. Their magic grew in strength as their bonds also grew together. It was still odd to find the same gods exist here yet they had different personalities and an even bigger mystery.
The battles they experienced were plenty enough to give them nightmares, yet in the end, they prevailed and brought the truth out from the shadows. That there was a mastermind behind all the destruction that has been happening.
Tucker and Sonja longed for order, wishing that the world returns to its peaceful state.
Tom longed for the days of calm where he could play pranks and mess around, causing mischief and chaos without any major repercussions.
And Jordan?
He longed for comfort, he wishes that the voices in his head would stop telling him that he wasn't worthy of love. He wishes that people would stop looking at him as if he was overpowered.
He wishes someone would tell him that he's enough.
He prays that someday, even if it takes years, that he won't feel lonely again.
---
Ruxomar was a mess, one that he doesn't know if he can ever fully recover from. He never given enough time to even think about it before he ends up in another world.
The isles, three gods and three champions.
Where did Sonja and Tucker gone to? Jordan doesn't know, he will never know. He's in a completely different world, different rules, and different magic. It's honestly driving him a tiny bit insane. Everything felt familiar and at the same time was something completely new.
His lady, his goddess, even she felt strange.
She was more caring? She was kind and looked after him as if he was her champion. But he wasn't her champion, not in this world, not this Ianite.
He doesn't deserve the love, he messes up one too many times to deserve it now.
---
Over time, the battles they fought grew harder as their enemies grew in power. Darkness was everything and nothing at the same time, what could three mortals do?
Jordan likes to believe that the world is all fine and dandy, nothing wrong and nothing to look into. Even when there are moments where he doesn't remember how he got here and there.
Everyone tells him that he isn't crazy, or was it the other way around? Nothing in this world was right, everything was wrong. Everything was unbalanced, he simply couldn't stand it.
But even then, he'll try to be a good champion and restore the balance of the world. Jordan knows that it's his duty to bring balance, without balance he's nothing after all.
---
They were running out of time, everything has gone to shambles. Dark smoke covers the air as he watches the timer tick down into nothingness. There was nothing that could stop the bubbling anxiety in his chest from exploding.
It took the three champions a while to figure out how to stop the timer was to progressively add time to it. And to add time, someone needs to do it for all eternity. Too add time was a trial and to pass the trial took time.
In the end, Jordan had ro leave behind one of his friend. And yet again, he feels guilty for leaving Karl behind. He wished that he could stay with him forever with Tom, but everything has to come to an end eventually.
---
Over the years, Jordan learned that he will never be a persons first choice. He was mediocre in skill and knowledge despite being a demigod. Yet that didn't stop him from competing in competitions for fun, even if his curse strikes.
He had come from lands that people never knew existed. He had forged bonds that could hold up for all of eternity. He has done the impossible and found ways to do things differently. Even till this day, the cheese hat was his to claim.
The universes that he lived through, the dimensions he explored. His past was a tradgedy that he never wants to relieve. Yet everyone else had something different to say, that he had a bright future waiting for him.
All of that was in the past, now it was time for the future. It was time for Jordan to move on, to be the man he was meant to be.
Himself.
---
Jordan was a good man, he will get retribution and will definitely hold a grudge when he can.
Jordan was a good man, a prankster with ideas that sound stupid yet comical.
Jordan doesn't believe he was a good man, blundering here and there and everywhere.
Yet to everyone else, Jordan was their friend. Perfect the way he is, even with his flaws.
People may remember Captainsparklez as the pinnacle of balance.
But here, they remember Jordan for who he is.
A friend.

So, Eggman likes Chao. As soon as he found out about their existence, he was enamored. They're such adorable and potentially powerful little things. So, even while working for GUN, he starts up a little Chao garden.
Thing is, he's a busy man. He's constantly working on new ideas and building new deals. So, as much as he likes Chao, he only has two in his little Chao garden because he knows he wouldn't be able to take care of several of them like he wants to.
However, after he finds Sonic and he grows older, he begs for a job to do around the base. He's bored!! and just because he's sick a lot, doesn't mean he doesn't want something to do. So Eggman decides to have him try taking care of two little dark Chao, Bocoe and Decoe.
It takes a while for Sonic to gain their trust, because they hate him for some reason. They splash him when he tries to bathe them, they throw their food on him, they even bap him with their fists before giggling and running away.
Sonic tries not to take offense to it, but he does lose his temper in his own room sometimes. Then, one day, as the two dark Chao bully him, he snaps, his temper getting the best of him. The Chao look surprised and Sonic feels exceptionally remorseful...
He quietly finishes the chores and leaves.
He starts the next day by apologizing and saying he really hopes they can get along with each other. But, well, he's starting to get sick again, so he may not be able to come back for a while.
Bocoe and Decoe act like they're ignoring him, and he sighs but does his chores.
Then, he ends up bedridden for several days, holed up in "Syndrome Jail" as the NIDS flare-up runs its course. The previous caretaker robots take charge, but Bocoe and Decoe find themselves irritated that it's not Sonic. That irritation shifts into worry.
Eventually, Sonic gets better and he returns, though he's still feeling under the weather. He thinks he'll be given the silent treatment or something, but instead Bocoe and Decoe run up to him, looking worried and frowning.
Sonic realizes they missed him and he smiles, happy. He says he missed them a lot and will play as much as he can with them. The two Chao seem to accept this and they do not pick on him anymore.
As time passes, Sonic becomes even more proficient at taking care of Chao, so Eggman decides it would be okay to have Sonic tend the Chao Garden as his official duty in the Eggman Empire (conglomerate, officially).
Now, there are several Chao within the garden, up to about 36. Sonic tends to each Chao, and each one has reincarnated several times by the time he's a teenager. Bocoe and Decoe have also reincarnated several times.
Though, strangely, Eggman realizes why the two had such a hard time meshing with Sonic when they first met.
See, after Sonic started taking care of the Chao, though they would arrive neutral, the presence of Eggman and the robots would shift them Dark.
Sonic, however, has a hero's presence. The dark Chao didn't like him at first, but Sonic's accustomed to dealing with their mischief now, and they come to like him greatly just as the robots like him.
Bocoe and Decoe were both previously dark Chao. However, after several reincarnations, they have changed.
While Decoe is still a dark Chao, this current incarnation of Bocoe is a hero Chao. Regardless, both are exceptionally clingy to Sonic.

okay what the fuck IS lost impact? the stage from shth05 takes place in the past, yet has two branching missions that lead to different stages. what gives? this is me trying to make sense of it. plus the routes that come after it:
after death ruins hero or mad matrix hero, shadow gets teleported to what looks like iron jungle where sonic meets him with a spaceship.
sonic tells him the black creatures are headed to space
“we” inclusive of at least sonic, tails, vector, and presumably literally everyone else, are headed to the ark
so “we” inclusive of sonic and shadow are going to the ark too
on the ship, shadow steals the chaos emerald powering the ship (rude), and alarms sound
shadow has a flashback to alarms sounding on the ark, and maria pleading with him to help her. to help the professor, and those aboard the ark. geralds experiments with artificial chaos have gone horribly wrong
shadow swears he’ll do whatever he can for the ark and the professor
lost impact time:
artificial chaos are wreaking havoc on the very much still functional and habituated ark of 50 years ago
the hero mission is to take out every single artificial chaos at maria’s request (deeply annoying mission btw), and the neutral mission is to get to gerald’s laboratory because shadow is worried about him
something interesting about all this, is that in idle dialogue shows that he’s at least partially aware he’s in a memory. meaning this isn’t something he’s just remembering having happened (which would make no sense with the branching paths), he’s actively re-experiencing everything.
this distinction is important cause it means the conflict of having a level set in the past have two endings is solved. there’s no finite account of what happened, he’s back there, making that choice again.
what changes based on the route you take is what shadow remembers, and what happens next, but the reality of what happened 50 years ago isn’t changed by his choice.
anyway. what happens next after the lost impact hero mission:
shadow remembers maria’s final wish, the promise he made, and being ejected in the escape pod
when he comes to, he’s running with sonic on the ark (for the life of me i could not recognize that environment at all until now, but comparing it to other “present” ark stages, im pretty sure its the ark), and the black comet passes by, final haunt hero time.
after final haunting all over the place, shadow faces black doom and says he’s going to fulfill his promise to maria and save the world she loved so much
“i am shadow the hedgehog, and i made a promise i intend to keep. with the power of these emeralds, black doom and his army are finished. this is who i am”
this is the pure hero end. yippee
rewinding a bit, this is what happens after lost impact neutral:
(listen ok, i’m gonna gloss over how incredibly stupid everything about gun is in this game, and also i’m doing a little work to make things make sense. some of the logic in this route is complete bullshit but i think what it’s trying to do is really interesting so i’m giving it the best chance, ok?)
shadow doesn’t remember the promise he made with maria, nor her saving him. he’s still confused about why he was created and what happened on the ark
when he comes to, he’s on the ark, and the commander of gun is pointing a gun at his head
the commander tells him that he saw shadow being created by black doom and the professor. he says that shadow was responsible for the ark tragedy and maria’s death.
the commander tries to shoot shadow to serve justice for what he believes happened, but shadow dodges. he says he’ll respectfully accept his fate when it comes time if what the commander says is true, but first he has to find out the truth of what really happened.
cosmic fall time:
cosmic fall takes place on the dilapidated and actively exploding ruins of the ark in the present.
if you do the dark mission and just get to the end, then eggman shows up to take the 6 chaos emeralds shadow has collected up til now. he says various stuff about how it was his grandfather who created shadow but honestly doesn’t do much.
“i am shadow the hedgehog, the ultimate life form born and raised aboard the ark. i shall live on… i am the protector of the ark… i am living proof of the ultimate life form. this is who i am”
shadow tells eggman to leave immediately, he won’t allow anyone to defile the sacred ark. this is the semi-hero dark end
rewinding a bit:
if in cosmic fall you find the computer room with vector for the hero mission, then shadow asks black doom if it’s true, if he’s a monster responsible for the ark and was created by him.
black doom says it’s true, and shadow resolves himself to avenging the victims of the ark tragedy. black doom says thats stupid and tries to kill him so shadow defeats him, saying it’s what he must do as his atonement
“i am shadow the hedgehog, a research experiment gone deadly wrong. i’ve caused so much destruction… i never should have been created. this is who i am”
then shadow presumably kills himself. this is the semi-hero hero end
thanks for reading. i love this fucking game

Tactics Ogre Reborn Achievements & Walkthrough
Tumblr media
Welcome to our Tactics Ogre Reborn Achievements & Walkthrough guide. This is meant to inform readers about which events trigger achievements. We know that there are people who have a hard time finishing the Tactics Ogre Reborn game. If you are one of those who find it difficult to finish the game, let's take you to our Tactics Ogre Reborn guide. #TacticsOgreReborn
Tactics Ogre Reborn Achievements & Walkthrough
Welcome to our Tactics Ogre Reborn achievements guide/walkthrough for ! This is meant to inform readers about which events trigger achievements. I've added some of my own insight after playing through the game to help you plan for the longest achievement, Necromancer Scourge, and the eventual 100%. FAQ How many routes are there? Just like in the 2010 release, there are 3 routes—Chaos, Neutral, and Law. How do I go on the Neutral route? To enter Neutral, you have to go refuse Leonar in Balmamusa at the end of CH1—effectively entering CH2. At the end of CH2, you must then rejoin Leonar to enter CH3 Neutral. Do I need to complete all the content to get 100% of the achievements? You only need to complete up to Coda Episode 1: The Songstress. Does it matter what route I start and end with? In relation to achievements, it does not matter which one you start/end with. Thanks to the World Tarot (unlocked after completing CH4 for the first time), you can go back to all the relevant points in the story to redo events and unlock the achievements tied to them. For the purpose of this guide, I will start with Neutral, then Chaos, and end with Law. I'm ending with the Law route in the event that you want to proceed with the rest of the Coda episodes for the sake of fluidity. You can do it in any order without any major consequences to your final run. CH1 Going forward, I will roughly list the battles involved in each chapter. I will write larger notes about the more important battles that I think are valuable in relation to achievements and maybe other end-game content. There is blood on my hands, how long till it lies on my heart? Tynemouth Hill (Canopus joins) > Krysaro - If you save Donnalto in Krysaro, he joins you along with 2 other units (Sara and Voltare) that come with higher base stats than generic recruits. I personally kept Voltare trained up all the way to the end as a reliable knight. Donnalto is a great Cleric by virtue of being a unique character. He has high MND growth so if you feel good about your other cleric(s), later on you can turn him into a Wizard/Warlock to have a reliable unit for debuffs (MND helps with debuff success chance). Golborza Plain > (choice 1 = must protect Cistina) The Arkhaiopolis of Rhime - You don't have to protect Cistina, but she's a great rotational unit. She and her sisters are all great Shaman candidates (each locked into an element) and at least one of them is required to complete the Shrine Battle achievements in chapter 4. Phidoch Castle (cutscene) > Almorica Castle (cutscene)
Tumblr media
Hero of Golyat Rescued Duke Ronwey from imprisonment in Almorica Castle. Qadriga Fortress - Before entering this battle, head to the shop under the consumables section and buy 3-4 Grimoire Exorcisme. This lets you exorcise STILLED (downed) undead units that are within melee range of the item user to greatly reduce the exorcism pressure on your cleric(s).
Tumblr media
Corpse Dancer Confronted the Necromancer Nybeth at Qadriga Fortress and put an end to his dark experiments. Lake Bordu > Xeod Moors - Focus Ganpp, Berda, or Orbda to end the battle immediately. The battle ends when any of them reach low HP. Balmamusa - There are 2 battles in Balmamusa. The 2nd battle happens after you make a choice that propels you into a specific route. - Refuse to participate → CH2 Chaos
Tumblr media
Fallen Hero Refused to participate in Duke Ronwey's heartless plan to massacre the innocents of Balmamusa, for which you were then blamed and made a wanted man. - Participate → CH2 Law
Tumblr media
Butcher of Golyat Carried out Duke Ronwey's chilling plan to slay the five thousand innocents in Balmamusa. CH2 Chaos - Tactics Ogre Reborn Achievements & Walkthrough This world can be put to rights.Port Asyton (Arycelle retreats at low HP) > Rhea Boum > Xeod Moors (keep Arycelle alive) - Another optional unit to keep alive to recruit later on. She's the only Archer on my team and has her moments with a bow/crossbow depending on the terrain. Lake Bordu (keep Arycelle alive) > Tynemouth Hill (keep Arycelle alive) - If she survives, the troublesome archer will finally join your team after the conclusion of this battle. Depending on which job you picked for Denam, equip Heal on him to keep Arycelle healthy. Open Warren Report > Talk > "Phorampa Open to Hunting" - Reading this Talk topic unlocks the repeatable dungeon—Phorampa Wildwood. I suggest visiting this place now to recruit a couple of Dragons (for tanking) and any number of Gryphon/Cockatrice for scaling walls in upcoming battles. Gryphons and Cockatrice are good nimble units that scale walls easily and can act as diversions to allow Canopus to revive/heal important AI guest units using the Beastmaster's Lobber skill. - If you want to recruit Deneb and her unique Wicce class later, I suggest taming 1 of each Dragon now. Arc/Dark Dragons and Hydras can be found in later story battles and dungeons.
Tumblr media
Man of Proven Worth Joined forces with Arycelle—one of the few who knew the truth of Balmamusa—and fought free of a trap laid by Vyce. Krysaro > Qadriga > (agree to save) Ndamsa> Golyat > Boed Fortress (cutscene) - Keep Folcurt, Bayin, and Cistina alive for a chance to recruit them at Boed Fortress - I suggest having at least 1 Dragoon on standby for the Qadriga and Ndamsa battles. - At the Boed Fort cutscene, select "Come with us" for an achievement. - Folcurt is a great Knight/TK candidate & Bayin is stronger than your current Wizard
Tumblr media
Man Among Friends Befriended members of the Liberation Front at Boed Fortress. The Arkhaiopolis of Rhime - Denam and Catiua start off far from your main force. Thankfully, Catiua's AI will make the wise choice of retreating. I suggest setting Denam as a melee job for survival reasons and creating 2 choke points with melee units at points A and B (marked below). Ensure that the B group at least has Rampart aura and/or Phalanx. Xapan's own units will bodyblock the choke points by crowding the entry points. - Use Poison to debuff multiple enemies and keep enemy clerics busy. Utilize this window of opportunity and the stalemate to prepare Canopus/Beasts/Archers/Wizards with card buffs for a 1-round nuke on Xapan.
Tumblr media
Almorica Castle - The Gates of Almorica - Focus Ramidos - Almorica Passageway - There are a few ways you can approach this, but it's typically good to debuff Vyce with Breach (Dynast-King's Mead). Pick up buff cards when possible. On the same note, smack Vyce into a red debuff card or magic buff card (to overwrite his current buffs) when possible. Entering this fight as a Berserker with Sanguine Assault or a Knight with Rampart and Phalanx is recommended. There are other ways to win this fight, but these are my recommendations. - After defeating Vyce, you are presented with the option to rejoin the Resistance. - Rejoin → CH3 Neutral
Tumblr media
The Hero Returned Heeded Sir Leonar's entreaty to return to the Resistance. - Refuse → CH3 Chaos
Tumblr media
Man of Principles Refused Sir Leonar's entreaty to return to the Resistance. CH2 Law I will fear no reproach.Balmamusa > Xeod Moors > Rhea Boum Aqueduct > Port Asyton - Although the map is pretty narrow, plug a couple of entry points using Knights and their Rampart Aura. Focus any Octopus that enters your Rampart range. Although Josephine is weak, she's nested in a very safe position so rushing her isn't the best move or you risk getting your flank exposed to Octopi. - Port Asyton features 2 fights. The second fight is triggered when you try to move OUT of Port Asyton—triggering a fight with Arycelle. Read all current Talk topics on your Warren Report > The Reisan Way - This is one of the easier 'Save the AI' battles. Ravness isn't fragile and she's at an acceptable distance from the enemy. Just move your squad up as normal to protect her. Port Asyton (restock) > Qadriga Fortress - Employ a Lobber Canopus to buy time. Xapan starts is in a very dangerous position and can easily get overwhelmed if left unsupported. - If he survived, you'll have the option to recruit Xapan after the battle.
Tumblr media
Piratebane Saved Xapan the Mercenary from pirates at Qadriga Fortress. Tynemouth Hill - Phorampa Wildwoods becomes available by reading the related Talk topic. Golborza Plain > Phidoch Castle > The Arkhaiopolis of Rhime Rhime - Vyce and Arycelle spawn on the high ground directly in front of you. Just rush Vyce since he's in an accessible position to end the battle swiftly. Use Magic and Crossbows to support your melee since you don't want to clog up the only path leading to him with too many melee units. Ignore Arycelle so you can recruit her later.Almorica Castle > The Gates of Almorica > Almorica Passageway x2 - Though the second battle in Almorica Passageway looks like a lopsided 4v1 going against Leonar's favor, treat it like you would any 1v1 duel and employ the same strategy (Buffs/Debuffs) because Leonar will still hit hard.
Tumblr media
Leader of Men Struck down Sir Leonar after he slew Duke Ronwey, becoming the leader of the Resistance. Enter → CH3 Law NOTE: War Chest At the start of Chapter 3, you will have access to the Ranged Weapons II recipe from the shop. This recipe allows you to craft Baldur Blowguns by simply buying the ingredients from the shop directly. It costs a total of 2,450 Goth to craft and sells for 6,400 Goth—almost tripling your investment. By using this recipe, you can earn unlimited Goth and focus solely on your battles. If this method doesn't sit right with you, Phorampa Wildwoods can be farmed for Oberyths instead. Anyway, use the money earned to stock up on HP consumables (to craft up to stronger versions), consumable buffs and debuffs such as Plumes and Dynast-King's Mead, and craft Fruits of the Adept for light MP restoration. CH3 Neutral - Tactics Ogre Reborn Achievements & Walkthrough There will be sacrifices.By selecting this route, Arycelle's loyalty will plummet meaning she may leave your squad if left unattended. To remedy this, go do a few training battles to raise her proficiency with another weapon. Gaining a few weapon levels will quickly restore her loyalty. Almorica Castle (automatic battle w/ Hektor) > Boed Fortress - You'll have to save Cerya to earn the achievement. This is one of those times when you should send up Canopus as a temporary beastmaster with Lobber to heal Cerya. Her AI will gradually retreat down to your squad. - Along with Canopus, it's a good idea to field a few of the Gryphons and Cockatrice you should have recruited from Phorampa in CH2. Their inability to equip armor will spread out the enemy units' attention evenly among your flying units and make healing Cerya a little more manageable.
Tumblr media
Dark Knight Slayer Slew the Dark Knight Oz at Boed Fortress and rescued Cerya. Tynemouth Hill - Don't kill any of Ganpp's beasts or else it will trigger disadvantageous conditions for your team. Aside from the usual breach/weaken strat, you can also charm some of the reptiles before focusing down Ganpp. Read all Talk topics in your Warren Report > Krysaro (cutscene) > Qadriga Fortress - You can try to save all 3 of your incapacitated allies here, but it will be tough. Achievement-wise there is no major consequence in failing to save them. I personally only managed to save Phaesta and Tamuz and I was still able to get the achievement by rescuing Leonar at the end of this battle.
Tumblr media
Miracle Worker Rescued Sir Leonar from imprisonment in Qadriga Fortress. - You'll also have the chance to recruit Hobyrim afterward (no achievement in Nuetral) Port Asyton - Undead level - bring Grimoire Exorcisme and Cleric(s) with Exorcism - Revive Oelias and protect both allies to recruit them after the battle. - If you recruit Dievold and Oelias and do the subsequent battles below, you will have the option in CH4 to pursue Nybeth in the Palace of the Dead. Mount Hedon > Hagia Banhamuda > Ndamsa Fortress - NOTE: Field Oelias AND Dievold in the Ndamsa Fortress battle if you want to fight Nybeth in PotD CH4. You can always fight him in other routes so don't worry too much about it. - Before fighting Nybeth in Ndamsa Fortress, I suggest performing a gear check and crafting +1 rings granting elemental resistances. I remember Nybeth having extremely high INT compared to my ~100 resistances and it's somewhat of a painful fight. Don't clump up your units because all the enemy casters have access to AoE spells. - This is another battle where fielding Gryphons and Cockatrice along with any winged units can be beneficial to avoid clumping at the main entry point leading up to the fortress. Knock Nybeth off the ledge if the opportunity presents itself.
Tumblr media
Almorica Castle (custcene) > Coritanae Keep - Gates of Coritanae - use Dragoon(s) to create an early advantage - Coritanae Ward - Use Knights (or any unit) with Rampart Aura to clog up the middle path. Push Xaebos into a red card if the opportunity presents itself (shield bash or tremendous shot). Additionally, I recommend lobbing a Rood Upright consumable debuff on Xaebos to inflict Enfeeble (-magic resist). As an armored-type boss, he's very resistant to arrows and regular melee attacks. Debuffing him with enfeeble and using Ninjutsu/Magic will definitely get the job done.
Tumblr media
Slayer of the Dying Defeated Sir Xaebos, commander of the Galgastani army remnants, at Coritanae Keep. Mount Weobry > The Arkhaiopolis of Rhime > Almorica Castle (custcene) - Mirdyn joins you after the cutscene. Phidoch Castle - I typically prefer the right path (South Curtain Wall) because, at this point in the game, Dragons are easier to deal with compared to Golems thanks to Dragoons. - Phidoch South Curtain Wall - Use Dragoons and snipe down from the walls with winged units. - Phidoch Great Hall - Slowly move your squad to the eastern wall as the enemies descend from the western staircase. As Ozma makes it down the stairs, you can use Canopus and any winged beasts to take her original position and attack from a higher vantage point. Additionally, employ debuff tactics based on your party's unit composition (Breach for Physical and Enfeeble for Magic). She's strong in both Magic and Range, but she's not as defensive as prior bosses. Just don't clump up, distract or kill the enemy clerics, and focus her down in 1 round.
Tumblr media
(PGH)
Tumblr media
Southron Liberator Drove the Dark Knights from Phidoch Castle and wrested control of the south of Valeria. Enter → CH4 CH3 Chaos - Tactics Ogre Reborn Achievements & Walkthrough Ambition and greed rule, while dogs and swine serve.Port Asyton > Xeod Moors > Coritanae Keep > The Reisan Way > Bahanna Highlands - Coritanae Ward - The same strategy applies in this Xaebos fight as the one in CH3 Neutral. - The Reisan Way - Cassandra is pretty squishy for a boss. You can either rush her or safely exorcise stilled undead along the way. - Bahanna Highlands - Hektor is a robust boss by virtue of being a Knight. Units like him are typically more susceptible to crushing and magic damage. Focus your attention on the rest of his squad whenever he activates Phalanx. As always, debuff him (Breach/Enfeeble) and take out his supporting Clerics. Read the full article
