It's 4/13 and 4 days ago I finished posting Karkat Vantas vs The Evil Gods, a fic that I've been percolating for more than a decade and am very proud of, and which readers so far seem to have quite enjoyed! So this is me enthusiastically doing jazz hands at my baby. HEY THERE MY FRIEND DO YOU LIKE

1. Humanstuck, vigilante/superhero AUs, eldritch gods, possession/exorcism, religious horror, hurt/comfort and drama?! Alternia City as Basically Gotham?!

2. Riffs on the Winter Soldier/Turns Out The Guy You Love's Not Dead But He Came Back Wrong?! People slowly recovering from horrible dehumanization and learning to be people again through the power of many different forms of support and love?! People negotiating messy poly situations?! Pale Gamkar, even, perhaps?!

3. Copious shenanigans of Space and Time?! The ever-increasing urge to beat Doc Scratch's smug little "Hee Hee Hoo Hoo" ass with your bare fists?! Goddessdemonangel in a sundress?!

3. Ensemble casts whose backstories could sustain multiple spin-off fics each?! And the personnel forms I fabricated and filled out for every single one of them because I've lost control of my life?!

TO GET TO THE POINT - this is like a trial run to see who would be interested in supporting me this way! I have a lot of drawing and writing ideas, which contain scenes I'd only ever be comfortable putting on patreon. I desperately want to keep drawing stuff like this for my patrons, but I also don't want to write and illustrate a graphic novella full of billford sexcapades and have it only hit the eyeballs of three people. I would be really sad. If I feel like I have enough people seeing my patreon stuff after this, I'll make more!

To clarify: that thing I drew of ford fucking bill is on my patreon right now for early access, I'll share it here in maybe a week or so. To sweeten the deal, The other drawing will only ever be on my patreon! Currently it has two likes and no comments and I REALLY WANT PEOPLE TO SEE IT!!

ANOTHER clarification: I will be drawing SOMEWHAT nsfw things for my $5 tier. As of right now, I'm not drawing anything explicit. No nudity below the waist, basically. I had a bit of a rush because the convention that I wanted to wear him was yesterday, I plan to do more stuff with him (^∇^)

Yes yes I know, back with another fandom. You all know the drill if you’ve stuck around this long. Opening my posts is like throwing darts blindfolded. Today I present to you DC. tomorrow? Probably nothing

I’ve seen critique of the way show!murderbot said it felt good after killing leebeebee (thank goodness, I really disliked her - though at the same time I actually think that it’s interesting for the preservation team to have someone very blatantly objectify murderbot right in front of them and show them how other humans likely treated it)

but,, I didn’t really read it as it feeling good about killing someone so much as feeling good that it has made the team realize that it isn’t some little robot that wants to be human, and it doesn’t want to be assimilated into their group because it isn’t human. It’s a construct. They cannot and should not assume that it wants to be like them - it shouldn’t have to change or be human to be accepted

So I thought it was more of a “it feels good that this is making them rethink their little uwu poor little meow meow narrative when that’s kind of condescending and I am way more familiar with how fucked up my situation is than they are?”

Idk, any thoughts?
