You opened your eyes to the dark cloudy sky from a window in your shared room, hearing the distant calls of geese. It was 8:53 am. You flipped over and was expected to hit a broad-shouldered man to hopefully warm up, instead a cold lump of messy blankets. Right. His morning run.

Yawning and rubbing your eyes, finally sitting up after just laying there. You walked to the bathroom to wash your face before going to cook something for Kyle for when he got back. You placed a pan on the stove before turning it to the side to hear the clicking until the flame burst out.

You had scooped out a teaspoon of olive oil onto the pan and grabbed the bacon and sausages from the fridge along with some eggs.

You began cooking the sunny-side up eggs, fried bacon and sausages to make Kyles favorite breakfast. The ' Traditional ' British breakfast. You had never seen the appeal behind it, but if he loved it you'd make it every time he wanted it. Also you had cooked it so many times you've perfected it, probably one of the best dishes you can cook.

You grabbed your phone and connected it to the speaker in your kitchen to play some random playlist you had stored away for God knows how long. You placed Kyles food on a plate and ate yours from the pan, already pissed off to amount of dishes that awaited you.

Grabbing the pan off of the stove and turned the sink on, before grabbing the sponge and dousing it in soap you felt arms wrapping around your waist. Your heart dropped and turned around quickly to face, a face with slightly chapped lips from Londons cold air and facial hair. It was Kyle Garrick.

" Jesus Christ, Garrick. You scared the shite outta me! " You exclaimed, punching his shoulder playfully. Kyle smiled at you, flicking your forehead. " Maybe if yer damn music weren't so bloody loud, You would've hear me come in. " He retorted, pulling you into a hug.

Wrapping your arms around his waist and buried your face into his shoulder, you tried to breathe his usually musky, expensive cologne. You pushed him away quickly when you realized he smelled like sweat. " Go take a shower, Garrick. " You ordered. " What? I don't smell that bad, do I? " Kyle asked, sniffing his arms. " Alright fine I'll go take a shower. I'll be out in a jiffy to wash those dishes, Love. " You silently thanked the universe for such an amazing boyfriend. As much as you could enjoy cooking something, the dishes would always be your worst enemy.

You turned the water off and walked over to the couch, grabbing some thrown over clothes to tidy up something before enjoying your day off. You threw them in a bin on the side of your washer and cleaned up the counter and fridge the continuing to walk into your room to get ready to take a shower after Kyle.

Opening the door you saw a freshly washed and nice smelling Kyle getting dressed. " Cute butt. " You teased, taking off your shirt and sweatpants and tossed them into the laundry pin into your room. After a solid 10 minutes of showering you stepped out and rubbed a towel along your body then wrapped it around your waist. You opened the door from your bathroom connected to your room and stepped in. Walking over to your drawer to grab a clean shirt and sweatpants.

Strolling out of the room and saw Kyle washing the dishes. You walked over to the kitchen and rubbed a hand on the arch of his back, feeling him shiver, standing behind him and giving his a tight hug around his waist. He took a deep breathe and tried to focus on the dishes. You trailed kisses from the nape of his neck up to his ear lobe, where he was most sensitive.

Kyle whimpered and gripped the edge of the sink when you started biting it. " Careful with that mug there, Garrick. It my favorite. You wouldn't wanna break it now, would you? " You asked, looking over his shoulder to the way he was shaking in your grip. " No, Sir. " He whispered, putting both of his hands into the sink to continue washing. " Say what. First of all, let me pause to share the good news for anyone who hasn’t heard: GMMTV decided to give a hearty fuck you to Square Enix by putting English subs on the episodes airing on Viu. All you need is a VPN set to Thailand and a free Viu account and you can continue watching Achi and Karan and friends. Cheers to GMMTV for making sure their international fans didn’t get totally fucked over by this mess.

Now onto the episode: ANOTHER BANGER. If I could, I would ask for this episode’s hand in marriage. A few important points:

This is all new material that is NOT in the jbl (but presumably some of it at least is sourced in the manga, I’m no expert so manga readers hmu if you know)

It all felt so so very Thai—a field trip! a street fight! new side stories!—in the best way

They are using much of the extra time to deepen Achi and Karan’s characterizations and add more heft to their getting to know you arc, which is basically my dream scenario for this adaptation

This episode is all about Achi learning to see past his own insecurities to see the humanity in others, even people like Karan who seem perfect on the surface, and recognizing that he also makes real contributions to his community that people see and appreciate. I loved the arc of this episode and the way they let Achi work through his emotions until he arrived at a place where he could be the one to reach out to Karan and offer him some reciprocation for his kindness. It was so beautifully done and well earned.

I also really liked what this episode did with the side characters—Pai in this version is clearly different from Fujisaki in the Japanese live action, but there were some clever nods to a possible aroace read on Pai in this plot about her ex (Papang!). Rock growing to appreciate both Pai and Achi more was also very sweet, and Min and Jinta bonding over the kitty was just adorable. This show is so much fun and I’m thrilled we can continue to watch it.

lacy. muse a is completely, irrevocably in love with her best friend, muse b. but of course, they won’t talk about it. gimme sapphic codependent doomed relationship where you’re not sure if you want to marry your bestie or just be her. gimme pining as they get ready to go out partying and sleepovers with wandering hands and the desperate desire to get someone’s approval but also the self-hate that comes with needing someone that much when they might not get it. it’s all so angsty and beautiful and intimate.

making the bed. “and i tell someone i love them just as a distraction, and they tell me that they love me like i’m some tourist attraction.” basically a self-sabotaging, heart-breaking plot where muse a and muse b thought they could get into a situationship and keep it casual, without developing real feelings but they obviously failed. i’m thinking it could’ve been a summer or winter love kind of thing that ended up terribly ‘cause they were being overly cautious with their emotions and ended up getting the other deeply hurt. we could begin once they meet again (on the next summer or winter break?) and the damage is already done.

all-american bitch. muse a is completely amazing at playing the “perfect girl” role, always smiling softly and saying the right thing even if it’s just a massive façade. deep inside, she’s full of anger and has a desire to seek revenge (for what, you may ask? idk, let's plot!). then comes muse b, who can see right through her act and is determined to bring out that honest, horrible and mean side of her.

bad idea, right? muse a and muse b broke up recently. it was the right decision, all their friends are happy about it, they were not good for each other. that doesn’t stop the constant texts asking each other to come over, the sneaking during parties for a quickie and the jealousy when they both start going on dates with other people. basically i’m dying for the bitter comments and the falling for each other and the “this is never going to happen again” promises that neither of them believe.
