They may look awesome, but walking in them is... let us just say that you will not see me climbing Mount Doom any time soon. Plus, the cats try to kill them. But they are great for confusing the neighbourhood!
“I don’t know half of you as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you as well as you deserve.”
Do it. Host a Tolkien party. Bake hobbit foods and put together hobbit outfits from the thrift store. Play the LotR extended edition in the background. Dress up the babies in little waist coats and kids in capes. It will be the best adventure.
6 cosplays and 4 days of shooting meant two days of switching cosplays mid-day. On the first day I changed from Irmo to my Mirkwood elf which was pretty easy despite the extensive make-up for Irmo: I just had to get rid of a couple of the glitter around his eyes and darken the eyebrows because everything else was hidden behind the helmet and the attached fabric.
I had made the Mirkwood elf cosplay for a cosplay shoot a couple of years ago, wasn’t too happy about how the cosplay looked (except for a couple of photos), so getting another opportunity to take photos after making a few changes on the cosplay was awesome. And thankfully @goldiepond was patient enough to stay for another two hours to help me change cosplay and then take some photos while the others drove back.
