"Please welcome Tenoch Huerta and (Y/n) (L/n)!!" Jimmy Kimmel announced and the audience cheered. Tenoch and you walked outside by side waving at your fans. This felt like a dream come true. After all these years of acting, this was your big break. You quickly hug Jimmy before settling down. The host started by asking Tenoch how landing the role of Namor was. Of course, he retells the hilarious zoom call including the 'I never drown before' line. You and everyone else laugh at his story seeing the comedy. 

"What about you (Y/n)? How does it feel being the Queen of Talokan? Did your zoom meeting freeze as well?" Jimmy smirked. 

"No! I almost choked on my drink when my Agent said Ryan Coogler requested a Zoom meeting. We talked about the character and his idea for the movie. I didn't hesitate to say yes. But unlike some I knew how to swim.", You chuckle as Tenoch grins putting his head on your shoulder. 

For the past year, you and Tenoch have been inseparable. The teenager's crush on both sides had been obvious to everyone but you and Tenoch. You never revealed this to anyone but after the call with Ryan, the curiosity got the better of you. He mentioned Tenoch Huerta would be playing Namor. The King of Talokan and (Y/c/n)'s husband. So you googled him. Oh God had you been surprised by this sexy man. 

The interview continued, finally landing on the topic of their outfits. Jimmy mentioned how kids missed dressing as Namor or (Y/c/n) for Halloween. Tenoch shook his head no. The host then pulled out a picture of Namor's comic outfit. 

"So instead of going full speedo, you went boxer brief shorts?" Jimmy asked and you see Tenoch nod. "Did you or the producer name this call?"

"Thankfully the producer."

"But I did I ask for a full body suit with muscles included….but I didn't get that." He adds, causing everyone to laugh. "So I call them the shame short."

"Same shorts?!" Jimmy chuckled. You rolled your eyes. 

"I don't see them as shame shorts. In fact- I asked them to do the speedo." You admit finally. 

"Is that why they talked about making them shorter?!" Tenoch looked at you flushed. 

"Yes. But for reasons they did not. I honestly was upset about it." You add having no shame when the audience chuckled. "However they did make the shorts tighter than originally planned. I asked for them to be tighter around the crotch area but sadly they said no." 

"(Y/n)! You are making us blush!" Jimmy said. "Tenoch, did you know this?" 

"N-No! I had no clue!" He adds turning to you crossing his arms pretending to be upset. 

"I mean look at him. We all know the internet simps for this sexy man. So I was doing all of us a favor…for him to show off all his assets." 

"(Y/N)!" Tenoch blushed. The crowd whistled when Jimmy pulled up a picture of Tenoch's shirtless body. 

"See what I mean?!" You laughed and pulled Tenoch against you. 

The show ended and you both left the stage. He moved in front of you. His cheeks still have a faint tint of red. "You!" 

"What Tenoch? I was being honest." You laughed and took his hand going back into the waiting room until your shared car would be ready and heated properly. 

"What assets are you talking about anyway?" He questioned sitting beside you. The man smelled like warm spices, his dark brown eyes gazed into your (e/c) orbs. It had been a hard month containing your feelings for Tenoch. 

"Your-...area." You answer shly 

"Maybe in the next movie, I could get a new outfit. I will wear a speedo if…you go topless?" 

"TENOCH HUERTA!" You yelled playfully, slapping his chest. He grabbed your wrist. For a second there is no sound. You two simply stared at each other. Tenoch slides his hand up your arm to your shoulder and cupped your cheek. In an instant his lips captured yours. You tangle your hands in his soft hair. He moved you back on the couch slightly on top of you. 

"Tenoch (Y/n) the car- oh…Sorry…By the way make sure to tell Winston he owes me $25." Jimmy said before backing out of the room.

Jack was spread over the couch of the black bull's base, the sun had already left for the darkness as he and the other Captain shared a few more drinks. They talked and chatted, the tension of the meeting regarding border secrutiy sliding off their shoulders.

"Yeah, did you see Nozel? He was all like 'My squad and I will rise up to the need..' ... Ugh, why does he talk like that?", Jack mocked. "Cause he's a fancy little prince with his fancy little prince talk.", Yami giggled.

"Fancy little braid.", Jack muttered before breaking out in a laughter. Yami couldn't help but howl out a laugh too. "But it's kinda cute, no? He has it done every morning just to be a presentable prince." Yami chuckled. "Very cute. Just like a shiny bird. Just too bad he can't attract a mate.", Jack snorted.

"He can't? That's news to me." "Yeah well, he doesn't have one. So he can't attract one he wants?" Jack changed his thought.

"Okay but I don't get his fanclub. Is it like... a bunch of groupies who wants him to step on them with those sandals?", Yami chuckled, leaning back in his seat before taking another swig of beer. "God, urk... Why do ya' make me imagine this?" "Do you like it, scarface?"

"No!" Jack yelled out before sticking out his tongue to illustrate his distaste. Yami couldn't help but further laugh at his friend's disgust.

"Ah... I have an idea." Yami mused. Jack raised an eyebrow at this, waiting for the bull to continue. "Fuck, marry, kill. Our pretty bird, William and the little one, Rill.", Yami mused. Jack thought for a while. "... You make me feel weird saying this but Fuck William, Marry Nozel and kill Rill.", Jack said after a while.

"Care to elaborate?" Yami asked, trying to hold in a laugh. "Rill is too young for me. What am I? A nobel? I'm not thinking about someone younger than twenty in that way, that's weird... So kill, besides he's kind of annoying." Jack reasons which makes Yami nod. "And Nozel... Well... He's a pretty bird. And imagine him married to me, that'd be his worst nightmare. That would be hilarious."

"So you'd marry Nozel just to spite him?" "And cut off his braid when he sleeps, keke!" Jack laughed which Yami heartily joined in. "What about you?"

"Honestly, kill Rill too, same reason. Marry William and fuck Nozel. I don't think seeing Nozel all that much would do me any good." Yami mused which Jack could only confirm in a nod.

"Me next," Jack decided, thinking for a moment about the next three candidates, "Dorothy, Charlotte, and Mereoleona." "All the girls, I see... Ugh... I don't know where to place Sisleon..." "Just kill her off?", Jack suggested. "I can't. I can't fuck or marry Dorothy, she's always asleep, that would be weird."

By now it was clear both of these men were thinking for this game.

"Okay... Kill Mereleona, fuck Charlotte, and marry Dorothy.", Yami decided after a while. "I think Dorothy would be chill, and I don't have to fuck her. Like... platonic marriage, we just say we completed the wedding. Or she wakes up, I don't know."

Jack nodded, thinking about his answer. "Honestly with the asleep point, you kinda did something. Kill Dorothy, fuck Mereoleona, and marry Charlotte, keke." "Marry Charlotte?", Yami asked with a raised brow.

"She's cute, isn't she?", Jack answered. "And I like tough women, keke." "I can see where you're coming from but... If you like tough how come you didn't pick Sisleon?" "I know Charlotte better." Jack shrugged it off.

"Oh?" "We patrolled together sometimes when our people were busy preparing for the exam.", Jack added before rolling his eyes.

"Okay... Fuegoleon, Kaiser and... me?", Yami suggested before chuckling. "... You're so weird, keke." Jack mumbled. "Are you like into me or why do you put yourself in the roster?" "We're out of people, scrawny dude!"

"... Alright... Uhh... Kill Kaiser, I'm not about to homewreck for someone like that." Jack muttered. "Like that?" "Aw c'mon he's boring! Maybe the missus is satisfied but I wouldn't be!... Anyways, kill Kaiser, fuck Fuegoleon and... Marry... You?", Jack said, getting a lot quieter towards the end. "Aw, are you blushing?", Yami asked before laughing loudly.

"Shut up! I'm not! It's just weird, keke!" Jack answered laughing too.

"Alright, for the roster; Me, Marx and our dear chief, Julius.", Jack said with a cocky grin. "... Julius? Are you serious?" Yami asked with a deadpan face which send Jack into a laughing fit.

"Man up to the challenge, keke!" "Alright, alright!", Yami called, raising his hands in the air, "Fuck Marx, Kill Julius because I can't do the other two with him, and Marry you."

"Aww, you'd marry me." Jack cooed before strechting out his tongue. "Go away and kill yourself.", Yami shot back as he watched Jack stumble off the couch toward him.

"Aww, don't be like that. Give your husband a kiss.", Jack giggled before creeping above Yami, caging him in his seat underneath the taller man.

"Jack, what the-" "Awww, are you blushing?", Jack teased, using the same tone Yami had pulled earlier on him. He leaned in a little. "Are you sure you're not into me?"

"Very.", Yami said before shoving Jack back by his face. The taller man stumbled back laughing before letting himself fall on the couch again.

There was a certain silence hanging in the air between them before Jack spoke up again. "This was the gayest fuck, marry, kill I've ever played, not gonna lie."

Yami couldn't help but laugh too and nod along.

ATLA Original Scripts: Extra Goodies

As I’m sure you may have guessed, the very first script I chose to open at the WGF was The Southern Raiders (I mean, can you blame me? 🤣). But shippy lore and zutara fandom history aside, I did unearth quite a few unrelated tidbits, author’s notes and script changes that I found interesting or funny enough to note down. As promised, here is a compilation of some of these tidbits, with little connecting theme or pattern other than “I thought the fandom might find these snippets interesting” 😁

1. Elizabeth and Aaron Ehasz are genuinely hilarious.

I don’t mean to say that the other ATLA writers are necessarily boring or unfunny – as I said I didn’t get a chance to read every script and there may have been other genuinely amusing snippets from other writers that I honestly just missed. All I know is, the most entertaining action/non-dialogue lines that I did find were written by these two chuckleheads. I fuckin’ love them, lmao 🤣

2. In Day of Black Sun, Zuko was originally meant to redirect lightning using his dual swords.

I can see why this detail was changed during the storyboarding/animating process (as he just uses his bare hands in the show, the way Iroh taught him), but at the same time the sword-lightning-redirection thing really intrigues me. Dual swords are strongly associated with Zuko’s Blue Spirit vigilante persona, and there’s several episodes where Zuko uses them as part of obscuring his Fire Nation identity, whether that’s to help him keep his cover or even to help him get away with what the Fire Nation could reasonably consider as acts of treason.

So the idea that Zuko would use his swords to redirect Ozai’s lightning comes across as powerfully symbolic to me: Zuko standing in defiance to his abusive father, channeling some Blue Spirit energy to defend but not to kill; Zuko facing down a terrifying display of Fire Nation aggression and wrath, absorbing it into himself and then directing it back to its source, using a non-bending instrument, one he’d previously used in service of vigilantist or even sabotage/treasonous acts… yeah, I think that’s pretty damn cool, ngl.

From a Doylist standpoint, I like it. Very nice.

From a Watsonian standpoint, I can (grudgingly) understand why they likely chose not to portray this scene the way it was scripted.

Ah well.

3. In Lake Laogai, Katara’s healing water was meant to “turn black” as a visual indication that Jet’s injuries were too severe for her to heal.

This scene kind of plays out in the show, but not in the way that the script implies it should:

You can see that in the show version, the water turns black right as Katara appears to pause her work and look up to say “This isn’t good”. Maybe it’s just me, but the show doesn’t seem to imply that the water “turned black” despite Katara’s best healing efforts; I instead get the impression that the water stopped glowing because Katara (momentarily?) suspended her healing efforts upon registering how bad Jet’s injuries were.

The script seems to suggest that the scene should have played out like – Katara tries to heal Jet, the water turns black while she’s still moving her hands and working, Katara might then visibly react with shock or alarm, before finally looking up to remark, “this isn’t good”.

And honestly, I’m actually really bummed that they didn’t animate this sequence out! It would only have taken maybe a couple more seconds, but can you imagine if the writers had been able to employ the dramatic effect of “[Character] is so heavily injured, the healing water turns black” to its maximum potential?

Imagine Katara trying to heal Aang’s lightning wound in The Awakening, but it turns black and then he has that chi-shock attack. Imagine her explaining beforehand that she’d tried healing his wound multiple times over the two weeks he’d been unconscious, and it had always turned black, but she hoped that with him being awake maybe it wouldn’t fail this time - except that it does 😭

Imagine Katara trying to heal Zuko after the lightning scene in Sozin’s Comet, and the water turns black, and Katara grits her teeth “Oh no don’t you dare” and visibly puts all her effort into making that water glow again and finally he wakes -

Argh, it’s one tiny visual clue and yet there’s so much potential for drama and angst (yum!) - I’m so frustrated it wasn’t kept! Huge missed opportunity imo. Ah well, for all you fan-artists and fanfic writers, consider it free real estate. Make it canon, let’s gooo 🤣

4. In The Runaway, after being accused of being “too motherly”, Katara actually slaps Aang when he doesn’t respond fast enough 🤣

I don’t really have much to say about this one other than that I just found the mental image pretty funny. I do find it interesting that as much as the writing did a better job of developing Kataang in the original script, there also isn’t any serious effort to tone down Katara’s motherly tendencies towards Aang either (in fact, I think one could easily argue that slapping Aang’s hand away makes the whole mom thing come off stronger, but idk). Either way, this was pretty entertaining to read. 😂

5. In Tales of Ba Sing Se, Zuko and Jin are both a lot more expressive in the script, and it’s way more fun:

In the script, Zuko looks “totally overwhelmed” when Jin asks him out. In the show, he just looks… blank? Expressionless? Idk. I did get the sense that this was unfamiliar territory for him, but to me the show doesn’t animate him to be nearly as flustered as the script suggests he ought to be. He doesn’t scowl at Iroh immediately either, and even when he does he looks more irritated than “furious”, imo. 🤷‍♀️

I did figure that Zuko telling Jin she has a large appetite was his attempt at making polite conversation, but the script makes him come off more sympathetic with that too:

In the show, the waiter doesn’t roll his eyes at anyone, he just walks away, the shot does pan out to the other diners staring but they move on very quickly, and notably Jin appears completely unperturbed by the whole thing. She doesn’t look sad or “hurt” as the script suggests, and Zuko’s attempt at a compliment isn’t framed as him regretting his outburst and awkwardly trying to make up for upsetting her (as she doesn’t seem to be upset at all).

I’m honestly a little sad that so much of this was cut; it really softens Zuko’s character a fair bit. I mean we already know that underneath his hot temper Zuko always had a deep sense of compassion and empathy for others, but these little details really help bring that side of him to the surface and I’m just sort of bummed that they shaved them off here :/ not sure why they felt the need to do that.

Anyway, we all love awkward turtleduck Zuko, so here, have some more:

I like that Zuko is explicitly written as being more at ease once he and Jin have found a quiet area to be alone in. Neurodivergent Zuko confirmed? :P

Also, love the little addition that Jin “peeks” through her fingers right before Zuko starts firebending (they didn’t include that part in the show either). Makes you wonder, did she see? Did she see, and accept Zuko anyway? :P

(Too cute.)

6. In Zuko Alone, Zuko stops Lee from hurting himself with the dual swords:

On the one hand, I don’t mind that the show portrays Lee just having fun with the swords and looking to Zuko for approval (and getting it!). It’s sweet. On the other hand, I think there’s a layer of foreshadowing here that the show missed - without Zuko there to help, Lee’s recklessness and impulsivity will get the better of him (as it ultimately did). I’m sort of torn on this one.

Edit: I’ve been thinking about this a little more and I think I definitely prefer the script version, if only for the fact that Zuko’s “imperceptible smile” is at the end of his and Lee’s encounter. In the show, Zuko smiles at Lee encouragingly after he gives him a swordfighting “lesson” and then lets the kid swing the swords around a bit, which is definitely a heartwarming moment but it has a very different connotation to Zuko smiling with Lee after Lee opens up about Sen Su to him. In the show Zuko is smiling for Lee, to give him encouragement and support. In the script, Zuko smiles during a bonding moment for both of them, in a way that seems to suggest he is grateful/touched that Lee is sharing something so personal with him. It’s a really soft moment for Zuko and upon thinking about it more I’m definitely bummed they cut that little smile. :(

7. In The Chase, after Azula attacks Iroh, Zuko is apparently doing his best to comfort and stabilise him – he is not simply overcome with despair over his fallen uncle:

And in Crossroads of Destiny, Katara isn’t just angrily pacing the “prison cell” back and forth before Zuko is thrown in with her; she’s actively searching for a way out:

I kinda wish both of these were kept in too. Zuko and Katara may be hot-headed at times (they are definitely two of the most passionate characters in the show, if not the most passionate) – but not to such an extent that it overwhelms their ability to work through a crisis; I find it more consistent to their characters that they would still try to do something even when they appear to be in a pretty hopeless situation. That seems to be a trait they both share, in the show.

I also like that Zuko’s efforts to help Iroh humanises him a bit more and puts the emphasis on Zuko caring about Iroh’s recovery, rather than Zuko just being upset that things have turned out so horribly. I was sympathetic to him before, but I’m even more sympathetic now, if that makes sense. 😭

8. In The Painted Lady, Katara’s disguise is blown due to a hair-loopie malfunction, rather than Aang literally blowing her disguise (off).

This is more of a subjective thing but I wish they kept this one in too! I think it’s cute :P

9. The Puppetmaster was originally meant to be titled The Dark Side of the Moon, and includes some differences on how Katara regains control of herself in the battle with Hama:

I understand why the script made Katara “pirouette” and dance under Hama’s bloodbending – it’s a reference to the whole “puppetmaster” thing (which, by the way, I have to say “The Dark Side of the Moon” is a much cooler title, but I can see why they changed that too – it’s way too spoiler-y, sadly). Ultimately though I prefer the show’s version where Katara is forced to her knees and then breaks free – it’s more dramatic, I think, and it reminds me of the earlier scene in The Waterbending Master where Pakku has knocked Katara down, and she takes a breath and steels herself and then gets back up to fight again. I’m not sure if the animators meant to mirror that scene or not, but either way I think Katara standing up after being pushed to the ground is a lot more powerful and compelling, both visually and symbolically, than Katara breaking free of a dance that she’s forced to move to under Hama’s hand. Maybe that’s just me.

I will say though, the ending shot is different to how it is in the script, and I wish they’d kept the script version:

10. Finally, the ending of The Fortuneteller has Katara actually hearing and reacting to Meng’s insult.

Which I thought was mildly amusing. Slightly bummed this was cut, but only a little 🤣

Hey Celina-

So I've been wanting to start a writing blog myself and I have a vague idea on what I wanna write about. But I don't know how to exactly write it...

I was wondering, how does your writing process go? What do you do in longer pieces specifically?

I'm a hellfire of a writer and I find it absolutely hilarious that people want advice from me, but I'm more than honoured to give you my burnt pasta advice-

Ok first things first- give yourself like a minute to think of a big idea-

Like nothing too specific- for example not a whole sentence explaining the plot or character, rather just a few words: Ex. Evil Queen.

From there I like to jot down the words onto the document/platform I'm working on and start typing out random sentences that come to mind.

This can be both starting the story or fleshing out the character. That way, you don't have to be stuck on thinking of writing a specific topic.

Now there's one thing I like to point out in particularly how I write. I like to stick with my initial image of the character HEAVILY. I don't know if people notice this, but I keep a common theme with most of characters from when I first wrote them. [Unless if it's an AU of some sort]. Ex. personality traits, background, etc.

From there I usually end up building an outline of the plot.

Now my teachers have always said to keep your outline like a few words long, but I like keeping my bullet points detailed. So my points end up being a few sentences each, considering I'm writing the plot.

You don't need to write your outline in a grammatically correct method nor does it have to be pretty. Like my outlines are honestly like "This mf dies by accidentally tripping and tumbling down the hill like a wheel of cheese." It's easier for me to keep track of my thoughts and often times I can add a funny thing from those said sentences.

This is the part where I start to slack off compared to other writers.

I'm sure most writers actually proofread their work and ask for peer review, but I don't lmao. (Honestly, primarily because I don't write long pieces as much)

I would suggest those, but at the same time I don't do them aha...

Anyway, once you finish your outline, give a brisk run through and cut out anything you think is unneeded or unclear. Remember, writing beautiful is easy, it's the clarity that's hard. In my case I think it's very true since I sometimes use big words.

Then you actually write your draft-

USE THE THESAURUS. I don't know how many times I've needed to say that to people. I always put a lot of synonyms for my adjectives. It gives a lot of colour.

Then carefully read your paragraphs so you can cut out anything you don't need or makes it difficult to keep clear.

I do the last few changes [adding/removing, more fancy words]

And then bam-

Finished.

CBS Ghosts - Pilot - Haunting is Hard Part 1

I always love seeing the light/dark changing as scenes change. It's just an awesome gif. I like good transitions like this.

Okay, the most hilarious part of this right here is that A) WHO gets in the shower before making sure the water is warm?  and B) that Isaac was totally watching him get in the shower.

Given that Isaac (and Alberta) mention this later on, I imagine this is how Sam makes the "No one in our room rule" and uses Pete as a guard for it in WHC.

Side note - how did they decide this was the moment? ALSO, did they do a dress rehearsal? I feel like they should have.

It's interesting that we don't see Thor or Sass although Thor is about to go first. Actually, Sass could be EASILY missed in this scene.

I know, I know it's the pilot, and they probably didn't care, but like ... stairs in the bathroom...

Anyway, It’s so freaking nutty to catch that during Giffing.

Pausing Here to say - I love that Isaac is CLEARLY the leader here.  This man literally tells Thor when to do his thing and THOR LISTENS.  Even though Thor is Older than Isaac.

Also, as seen in this scene - Thor struggles ALOT with his power, and Jay has no issue dismissing it when the light doesn’t appear to work well. This is part of the reason (at least for me) that it's clear Thor doesn't use his power that much. I wonder if using the power more (like Trevor/Alberta) would get him to be less impacted by it.

It’s very interesting the way they actually went in ORDER of how the powers came up.  Thor was first, then Alberta, Isaac, and finally Trevor.  Interesting.  Anyway, I know we're not there yet.

This is still so cute - Isaac is clearly in charge of this haunting even though he’s not the A) Oldest, B) the one who came up with the idea and/or C) actually in charge of these misfits. It's just 'cause he wants to be 'the captain' he was in life.

But it’s nice - even given the next second, which I’ll get to in a minute, they LISTEN to him.  I like it.  It shows A) that he’s either earned the respect or he just commands the respect of being a leader or B) that he’s so respected even without the ‘leader’ tag that they obey him.  It’s like with Hetty in Dinner Party - she’s not the oldest but she commands respect and people give it to her.

LMAO - ALBERTA, THIS IS NOT THE TIME.

I do LOVE that she emphasizes the ability she has to counter his decisions - it fits well with what I’ve seen with regards to she was probably the one to suggest that his power stinks and counters him in Episode 3.  It’s not a surprise given this scene that she doesn’t just do what he says.  

HOWEVER, did they not DISCUSS what order they were going in?  Now is NOT the time.  Although it is hilarious.  

Sorry, Alberta, Trevor’s power is really the topper - as Hetty says in the last scene. There's a reason you're second, not the finale.

Okay this is hilarious - Isaac is literally RUNNING AROUND JAY and trying to avoid getting walked through when he could’ve just ran ahead of Jay before he even walked passed Thor.  

Hey look - there's Sass!

I’m cackling at Isaac’s run while Jay’s like “Huh, what’s that?”

Couple of things here - A) I LOVE the way they got around Alberta’s power as being ghostly - they had a few options, including that they could blame it on the house being older and creaking, but THIS IS BETTER - the timing works brilliantly and you can see Alberta and Pete being WTF in that gif.

But B) I love that Sam is such a dork.  She is so excited for this and it honestly pretty cute.  She continues to up the love for the mansion, despite the ghosts' best efforts.

Two ghosts down into the failed haunting with two more to go!

wow SUCH a vivid dream abt hooking up with a Nice Young Man i’d gotten to, i think, coach me thru writing a paper (lol. lmao.) but then it turned into us making out and me realizing he was stunningly delightfully subby actually???? so then i got to like. hold him down and nuzzle-nip-kiss-grope him a bunch. honestly very satisfactory.

also for some reason i was telling him abt poems that like. lay out a problem and then resolve it but in, like, an anticlimactic way where the problem was more compelling than its resolution? except the only example i actually remember citing was that sayers sonnet from gaudy night (lay on thy whips, o love, that we upright…) which like. on waking i feel is a decidedly unfair characterization of that poem so like. disappointed in dream K’s thesis statement, lmao. however maybe they existed in a mirror world whose version of that poem WAS like that, who knows. i like to think they wouldn’t have misrepresented the one i know like that! [also apologies 4 quoting the volta(?) instead of the actual first line, it’s what comes 2 mind offhand 4 me and i didn’t do a google bc i’m just thumbtyping.]

however. can’t complain abt getting 2 dream abt queer makeouts (pretty vividly too, honestly! hazy but suggestive memory of sensations and even sounds!) AND pome analysis. like. VERY on-brand really. :D

Tell us about Louis's sex life with Lestat and Armand, I gotta know 🍿

god, Louis is the luckiest man alive (unalive?) lmfao you just KNOW he’s getting an insane amount of action any time lestat and armand are under the same roof asdfgahvf

I'm absolutely convinced the first time they were all under one roof together for more than a few days, Armand and Lestat were both immature enough to try and make each other jealous by sleeping with Louis (Armand definitely plays dirty by echoing Louis' Jumbled Orgasm Thoughts into Lestat's head— it backfires at least once because GUESS WHAT louis still thinks about lestat in bed with other people LMFAO) but eventually this pewters out when Louis catches on and tells them to just cut the bullshit and fuck each other (and they do. and Louis enjoys a quiet night reading, like he damn well deserves).

ANYWAY, the thing I love about Louis having both of them in his life is that they all read each other in such different ways, so I think it’s really great that no matter what mood he’s in, there’s someone who knows exactly what he needs. Louis has a tendency of thinking himself into a corner, and some nights he needs Armand to step in and take the wheel and mindfuck him into a state of bliss. Other nights he needs Lestat to do just the opposite and coax him into his body and remind him of what it feels like to be alive. 

They also both pick up on different things that Louis doesn't even know about himself like!!! Lestat is very well-versed and dependent on physical cues, so he picks up on the way Louis tilts his head ever so slightly to the side when he's curious about trying a New Idea, the way he rolls his ankles and flexes his heels when he wants to go harder, or the way he'll hide his face in Lestat's shoulder when he's about to come because he thinks his orgasm face is silly.

Armand, of course, has access to Louis' mind, but on the whole he's much more emotionally intelligent so he actually doesn't use much of the Mind Gift (he also is well aware of Louis' aversion to the gift). it's much easier for him to pick up on the roller coaster that is Louis "repressed-gay-ex-catholic" de Pointe du Lac, and Armand is so much more patient in terms of giving Louis the time and space to process things. Sometimes it takes a while for Louis to be able to stretch out of his comfort zone, but Armand is in it for the long game, baby.

They both also have very different tactics to getting in his pants LOL like it's actually fucking hilarious because if Lestat tries to flirt and cuddle up to Louis while he's reading, he'll get all huffy and annoyed, but when Armand comes waltzing in and casually rests a hand on his knee while he reads, Louis is putting that book down and going for the jugular in like 30 seconds flat LMAO.

Armand and Lestat also know that sometimes they’re not exactly what Louis needs in the moment, so sometimes (not every time, but sometimes) Lestat will suggest Louis visits Armand. And vice versa, every other week when Louis gets cranky, Armand locks him in a room with Lestat like “You two just need to bone.” 

cue: this exact reaction from Louis: 

When it comes to settling on an arrangement between the 3 of them actually sharing a bed together (as opposed to taking turns with Louis)...I think Armand might’ve been the one to first suggest it, but I honestly feel like Louis would’ve been the one to actually bring them both together and make it feel like it was their idea in the first place LOL. Lestat doesn’t like to share, and Armand doesn’t like feeling like the third wheel, but Louis has a way of asking for things without really outright asking for them. He so rarely makes requests of Lestat or Armand in the first place, so of course they oblige (it also gives Lestat a Very Convenient Excuse for coming to terms with the fact that he is, in fact, attracted to Armand).

I will say I think it's only on very special occasions that the 3 of them get together, but when they do, it's absolutely decadent. There are so many different dynamics between them that are just constantly in flux so it's really interesting!! Like...when Louis is with Lestat he tends to want to be more dominant, whereas he's more comfortable being submissive to Armand, but between Lestat and Armand it can be a bit of a tug-of-war in terms of who has the "power." So with the 3 of them it's just a constant changing of positions and dynamics. I've always seen it as something that leans a little bit more playful (well, as playful as sadistic/masochistic vampires can get). Like, there's an unspoken agreement to leave the baggage at the door when it's the 3 of them together.

There's a lot of pampering of Louis and he's shy and resistant at first (he HATES attention! he hates feeling like too much of a hedonist! why are you just STARING at me, Lestat, don't you have something better to do?) but listen Lestat and Armand are very persuasive ;)

(it's also not always Louis-centric!! Louis and Armand have made Lestat cry from overstimulation MULTIPLE times. Louis and Lestat team up to play good-cop/bad-cop and deliver punishment and reward with Armand.)

ANYWHO I think the whole thing is just very cathartic for all 3 of them!! Louis has two hands and he deserves the best of both worlds!!!

I was thinking of doing a rewrite where the Norse and Egyptian pantheons, which canonically exist, to actually play a part in the story. I was wondering if you had any tips or suggestions?

Can't help much when it comes to Egyptian as I'm a total dumbass there lmao with Norse though, honestly this might be a basic bitch response but I recently played the newest God of War games and they both weaved together the Greek and Norse pantheons brilliantly. One thing that I love is the fact Kratos is clearly not from Midgard/the Norse pantheon so he's essentially an immigrant but his son Atreus was raised in Midgard so his kid's the one with all the know-how on the languages and locales. It makes for a very compelling and cute dynamic to see Atreus go through his growing pains in the first game and get annoyed having to do all the translating for his emotionally stunted dad, and then later on in the second game when they've clearly spent a lot more time bonding, Kratos can actually read the language a little better than he could in the first game and Atreus is like "yeah good job :) <3" idk it's very wholesome and very sweet and it makes for a great way to reintroduce Kratos to a new audience, while also creating a divide between Kratos and his son that the game can use as its main driving narrative.

Another piece of pantheon-mixing media I love is HappleTea. It doesn't have a functional website anymore as its creator has moved on to other projects but you can still find it archived on other websites. It's hilarious and covers all sorts of myths from Greek, Norse, Egyptian, and Christian mythology in a very easy-to-understand and entertaining way. Here's a couple good ones:

I guess my only tips would just be to do as much research as you can, and don't bite off more than you can chew! It can be super tempting to want to tackle all the myths out there but ultimately if you're going for some kind of longform narrative, you're telling a story, so you should be focused on it functioning from beginning to middle to end. Try to limit yourself to include only what you feel serves your story best!

Anyways, S/O is a well known sleep talker, its not something thats a secret. Anywho, lets say one day skele is sitting in the living room while S/O is napping on the couch. All of a suddem though, S/O yells something out in their sleep. They end up waking themselves up from sleep yelling, and then proceed to get made that someone(themselves) woke them out, and immediately go back to sleep

How do the skeletons react to S/O getting mad at themselves for interrupting their own slumber??

Sans: honestly he was also getting sleepy when that happend, he got so confused but couldn't help but laugh at it, mostly how you got angry but continue to sleep. He's totally gonna tease you when you wake up.

Papyrus: he softly chuckles and just stands up and go outside and start wheezing hard lol. That moment was glorious!! You waking up yourself and getting mad at yourself! He's quite giggly around you when you do wake up lol.

Blue: he wakes you up with his whole laugh lol. And now you're angry at him, worth it because he tells you what happend, your face makes Blue laugh even more, your boyfriend is a bully.

Miere: he was cuddling you, also falling alseep and when you yell, he also wakes up angry, still hugging you.. and you two keep sleeping.

Rojo: he's bigger bully than Blue lol. And his laugh is WORSE than Blue's. He totally pulls his phone out and film it, your confused expression at his big laugh is amazing, even Cap laughs at it.

Cap: he hears you yell, he sees you falling back asleep, he just continue his reading, he has gone used to this but he has to deal with a wheezing Rojo in the background.

Black: Like with Miere, he was cuddling you and your yell scared him and he also yells. Now both of you are angry from having to wake up to screaming lol.

Slim: his sleep is heavy af so while he was cuddling with you, all that happend and he didn't even move. He is just happy to sleep with you <3.

Allen: he quickly went to check on you since he heard that you were yelling so he got real worried and you're just asleep again, he doesn't want to wake you up :(.

Bliss: he ignores you, the first time that do happen he did got scared at the yell but laughed, now its just simply you being weird lol. He has gone used to it.

Zen: same as Slim, he dies when he sleeps so he didn't even notice and kept sleeping peacefully <3.

Is it bad that when I got to the last point on your Ch 58 about Cornelia showing up and stabbing Dimitri, I honestly thought for a second you were joking? And I had to go to the chapter to confirm it?

I mean, I’m fine with the idea of what Cornelia says (it would make a neat AU or twist on canon in a vacuum) but she just… shows up, in the middle of two enemy armies, just to… brag? And then kill Demitri so once again, a main character can be killed by someone else besides the ‘heroes’? I. Wow. Jeralt was one thing, but he was at least killed by the same faction if I remember right-

No, it's definitely true - Cornelia does in fact pop up at the conclusion of the fight just to alleviate from Woobiegard the act of killing Dimitri herself.

Now, mind, Dimitri is still alive by the end of that chapter, but spoiler alert Cornelia does kill him in the next one. And Cornelia and Thales themselves just kinda... exist to be threats? But not threatening.

Thales is lauded as this mastermind giga genius who has spies and and eyes and ears any and everywhere and that's why Woobiegard just totally couldn't tell anyone anything about what he was doing... but also she'll just, like, punch him in the face. And face no repercussions for doing so. More than once. He has spies everywhere that can look like anyone, but apparently, um... doesn't know that his spies can shape-shift? According to Kronya? He brainwashes his spies for all of their lives to do what he wants, but also the brainwashing can be completely erased from one singular conversation. He's the leader of Agartha and rules it with an iron fist and the culture is rife with ideas of hatred and vengeance and it's been like this for (presumably) centuries, but also literally everyone not a bigwig can completely reject everything they ever knew because One (1) resident told them that Thales is Cringe. He's the one wearing the pants of his and Woobiegard's partnership and Woobiegard has to act submissive towards him... as he has to ask her to use the Death Knight... and needs her okay to use his men alongside hers... and needs her to consent to using Aymr instead of, like, I dunno, blackmailing her into using it by force or something? Y'know something a bad guy that's threatening would and could do?

Cornelia, in a double-edged sword kinda way, both benefits and loses from not ever being really a thing before the later chapters - there's literally no build-up for her being the one to end up being the bigger threat than Thales so it comes out of nowhere, but there's also nothing to contradict to "make up" for that. But even then she still somehow manages to be contradictory - she was distraught at the death of Thales, but did literally nothing to try and stop it despite her escaping Woobiegard's side from a slight distraction doing more than enough to show off that she very much could have helped Thales during that moment. She has all these golems and all this magic, but then kinda just... gets captured? Somehow?

They're there to suggest the idea that there is something Woobiegard ought to be wary of, but they never actually do anything in the story to prove that they're something that needs worrying about. All of their competence and fear factor that Woobiegard feels about them is left in their backgrounds; Thales conducted the experiments on Woobiegard, Cornelia helped instigate the Tragedy, and because of that they should be feared. But not for anything they're doing now - Woobiegard can Fortnite dance on their mother's graves and they still wouldn't do shit to her, because they never actually do anything to her. They wait until the very last minute to attempt to try something, and once they do Thales is immediately killed and then made into a literal joke. Cornelia only fares slightly better by Whack-A-Moling back into the story to kill Dimitri for Woobiegard, but that's about it.

So while it's HILARIOUS that you thought I was joking I honestly don't blame you for thinking that, because Thales and Cornelia are themselves jokes lmao

And if there are some oops babies who is she but a proud Sire working for the Cause and assuring they have the best care.

Riptide and Rodimus (canon friends) are having a great time discussing this while Drift sits between the poleaxed.

Roller is just rolling with it and is missing a lot of context on why the DJD is terrifying and treats them like regular mechs which endeara him to them.

Thunderclash is more stiff but has the most glowing easy carrying which makes Tarn (worst symptoms) despise him giving him and Rodimus somethingbpetty to bond over. Neither says anything around Nickel though.

Ratchet is now up to his elbows in babies and has decided the Love Boat is more stressful than most of the war.

It only gets worse when a deeply embarrassed Minimus asks him to visit Megatron's room, whose been grumpy and avoiding medical visits.

OWO Megs? Goooot a secret brewing in there?

This is when I suggest we pour more medics in here, because that's hilarious as hell and Ratchet clearly needs help (they're lucky the Lost Light is such a big ship)

Nickel deserves a harem honestly, and whoops how was she supposed to know she'd spark someone up? They used protection, honest! (Lies, both of those are lies)

OKAY- I finally have time to fanboy about the concert that I just got back from LMAO so keep reading for a ride

So last Saturday my friend took me to the Freaks on Parade tour in Iowa for my birthday (which is on the 14th for anyone wondering :) ) BUT IT WAS SO GOOD??? Mudvayne, Powerman 5000, Rob Zombie, and Static-X were all there and I have to rate + share some of the photos I got from the concert :) it was so much fun.

The first band that played was call The Tale Untold, that band was AWESOME. They're a small band that formed in Omaha, Nebraska but oh my fucking god. The lead vocalist is a female and they sound so fucking metal?? Like ong my friends mom thought that she was a guy with how deep her voice got. It was hot as fuck and I loved them. They definitely give off Jinjer and Otep vibes, so if you like either of those bands. I definitely suggest them!

I cannot remember the next band that played, I was too busy socializing with my stepmom, friend, and their mom. Along with showing off my awesome vest that my cousin designed for me 😌💙💚

Once Powerman 5000 started up though, I drug my stepmom into the pit so we could watch them. Plus so we could find my dad since he was down there the whole time. I probably would have been as well, but it was 104 degrees Fahrenheit so I was melting in denim jeans and a denim vest.

We didn't get clear up to the stage because we couldn't find my dad, but we were right in behind the mosh pit which was honestly amazing! I would have joined but 1) I didn't know if my stepmom would have let me. 2) this dude in the pit was mean mugging me and I 100% believe they would have fought me the moment I step foot in the mosh.

Powerman 5000 was tbh a stellar band to see. Not as lively as they used to be, but they're still one of my favorite bands and I honestly love Spider so <3 That's okay.

Static-x... Oh my GOD GUYS THEY WERE SO GOOD??? It may not have been Wayne, but jesus christ xer0 does such a good job! It's uncanny how much he sounds like Wayne! The songs that they played were awesome and just seeing them in concert was phenomenal. They are definitely a band you have to hear live. The vocals are beautiful and the guitar is just unbelievable when listening to them live. I was so thrown back by there music I kind of forgot to record and take more than two pictures. Which I greatly regret now. After they were done performing the drummer tossed his drum stick out into the crowd and my dad and I nearly caught it but this tall ass mf in front of us barely even reached up and grabbed it. Like sir??? That was coming straight at me. That was obviously mine.

I am definitely gonna try and see them again next year if they're back in the area!

Mudvayne isn't really a band favorite of mine, but they were such a fun band to see in person :) Chad was very lively and SUPER hilarious. He even got in the crowd to sing some of the songs. He wasn't entirely in the crowd, but he was on a platform off the stage sitting on the fence and like giving people high fives and shit. I was aggressively headbanging when he did this and was mad confused when people started pushing me to the side. Like why was everyone running to the left?? Then I raised my phone because I couldn't see of the crowd and I saw that Chad was in the crowd lmao. What a Chad.

Now Rob Zombie... My beloved... This concert was AMAZING. The colors, the set, the vocals, JOHN 5??? Amazing. My favorite part was when they did a tribute for Joey Jordison. Rob told the crowd how he used to play with them and how Joey's favorite song to play was Scum of The Earth so they played that for him. I got a little emotional when they did ngl.

ALSO JOHN 5??? DID I MENTION JOHN??? Oh my god, so I got up to the front of the stage because the crowd was trying to get to the front and instead pushed me into the barricade. John leaned agaisnt part of the stage and like looked at me and nodded his head??? Like sir??? I have a photo of him leaning, but he looked away when I got the photo.

Then he went to toss me a pick towards the end of the concert and I nearly caught it BUT this dick bag beside me shoved me out of the way and stole it from me. John GLARED at this mf and like ran his finger over his throat while looking at them. Then John looked back at me and gave me a thumbs up as if to ask if I was okay and I just nodded and smiled like a dumbass because HOLY FUCK JOHN 5 NOT ONLY ACKNOLEDGED ME AND TRIED TO GIVE ME A PICK, BUT ALSO THREATENED A MAN IN MY HONOR??? I am fr living the dream.

My other favorite part was when they played House of 1000 corpses. It was just so pretty and the fake snow was so cool. Plus they put on cowboy hats so that was hot. The song started and I just SCREAMED and then I screamed "I LOVE YOU SHERI" At a photo of sheri on the big screen and like 8 people screamed "WE LOVE YOU TOO" LMAOOO It was so silly. It was so fun to dance to and headbang ugh I am excited to see him again in September hopefully. Plus, Otis showed up on screen and I was all >:o the whole time and nearly screamed "I LOVE YOU OTIS" but restrained the monster fucker in me 💪💀

Overall a good beginner festival to go to! It was so fun seeing all the metalhead there and just people who like the same music as me! I saw a bunch of people with Knotfest shirts as well so I didn't feel as bad since I had my cousin make my vest Slipknot-themed lmao. Hope you enjoyed my rambling.
