why do video game/costume designers have such trouble coming up with good looking slutty outfits for men. it's always either "the female version but without the bra" which sometimes works but a lot of times looks awkward because it was designed for cartoonishly feminine proportions and does not work at all on cartoonishly masculine proportions, or it's some bullshit designed by the kinds of dumbasses who think a tuxedo is the genderflipped equivalent of lingerie. you can design something specifically to a masculine body that's also spectacularly slutty I promise you. we knew how to do this in the 80s but the knowledge has been lost to so many.

So I saw this comment recently on reddit, and it resonated with me.

This is something that I always find frustrating when I see conversations about what the Democratic party needs to do to win voters over. Because the things that voters SHOULD be demanding, that should matter, aren't applied equally to both parties. And when you've got a massive propaganda network that's constantly drumming up how great your party and especially your leader is, no matter what he does or how it stacks up with what he promised to do, while the other party has very strict morality and effectualness requirements.

Honestly? I feel like actually talking up Democratic accomplishments, would be way more effective than anything else. Of course a lot of people go with the dumbass Republicans with how they're constantly fed news from both tv and their friends about how amazing Republican leadership is, while even people firmly on the Democratic side talk about how they need to hold their noses to vote for Democrats. One side is just way more likely to enthusiastically go along with whatever their leadership decides, regardless of how stupid and immoral it is.

my big thing with diversity in film and theater is that it’s nice to see diversity on screen/stage, but what about behind the camera or backstage? and what about the writing rooms? what about the directors and producers? when the cast is diverse but everything behind the scenes isn’t, it just feels like tokenism. and when the cast and crew are diverse but the creators and those with power over the project aren’t, well then it’s just replicating established power structures?

Man, I might be wrong for having this sensation, but this usanerican election results might not be entirely the population's fault.

I am running out of patience for leftists with whom I speak who never join strikes because they can't miss pay one day, but when you suggest to organise saving through the union to be able to miss pay and still have money, they say "I don't think a strike would help. Also, I think right now you have to be sure not to lose the little you have".

I'm pretty sure that has always been the case. I don't have the data, but I don't think it's the rich who were striking because they knew they had food in their table.

Sometimes it's the ones who are the furthest on the left, touching anarchism even, who come to me with these arguments.
