Everyone always says "Howard Shore didn't have to go that hard for the LOTR soundtrack" but no one ever talks about the soundtrack for The Hobbit! Are you kidding! It's amazing! It's beautiful! It brings tears to my eyes! It's so good!

Thoughts on "The Destruction of the Ring" (featured in "The End of All Things" on the Return of the King sountrack), sung in Sindarin by Renee Flemming.

I found myself wondering what on Middle-Earth was being sung in elvish when Gollum reclaims the Ring in Mount Doom; the music is hauntingly beautiful.

I've been researching this for quite a while. You can find the supposed lyrics and translation online, but I've come to realize that it's not entirely accurate, so I'm struggling a little bit (I'm not a linguist, here, and I struggle just comprehending English words in music without looking at the lyrics, nevermind Sindarin).

But this is what the lyrics are/translation is said to be:

Mi naurath Orodruin (Into the fires of Orodruin) Boe hedi i Vin (The One must be cast) Han i vangad i moe ben bango (This is the price that must be paid) Sin eriol natha tûr în úgarnen (Only thus its power will be undone) Sin eriol um beleg úgannen (Only thus a great evil unmade) Ú cilith 'war (There is no other choice) Ú men 'war (There is no other way) Boe vin mebi (One of you must take it) Boe vin bango (One of you must pay)

But as I'm watching the scene and listening to the soundtrack, it's not in this order at all. And not only that, but some of the Sindarin words don't sound correct -- I was looking through the Sindarin dictionary, and some of these words aren't even IN it. Probably just misspellings. But, based on what I was able to translate myself using the dictionary, it does seem to be at least close enough to what's shown above. (For example, Mi naurath Orodruin seems actually to be Mi naur nautha, which basically means "Into the fires from whence it came/was conceived", so it amounts to the same thing but the word Orodruin was not actually used.)

Anyway, this part of the song begins when Frodo decides to keep the Ring (though the lyrics might be misspelled/slightly incorrect, I'll still use them)...

Sin eriol natha tur in ugarnen (Only thus its power will be undone)

Ú cilith 'war (There is no other choice)

And that's about what I could make out that definitely seemed to match. And it's quite sad. Poor Sméagol.

I do like, though, that it says "ONE of you", as if it could have gone either way.

also breaking of the fellowship is one of my favourite examples of how Howard Shore's music is like the blood system for these movies, because he genuinely translated the doom, the irreversible change, the love and loyalty, the relief and the hope present in the scenes where sam finds frodo and joins him from words to notes

Today was absolutely terrible, but I also rediscovered how much of a game-changer it is having the Hobbit soundtrack on in the background while completing mundane tasks. Scrubbed the kitchen floor to Howard Shore’s “An Unexpected Party” this evening.

Seven's original soundtrack is available on vinyl for $40 via Waxwork Records. Shipping in January, the score is composed by Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Silence of the Lambs, The Fly).

The 2xLP album is pressed on 150-gram "Lust & Sloth" colored vinyl. It's housed in a gatefold jacket with matte satin coating featuring a layout by Steve Reeves and an 11x11 insert.

All animals love him, especially your pets. A man who respects women, definitely respects cats (there's this whole theory about men who don't like cats because they don't like having to keep boundaries. Anyway-)

He knows your 'tells'. Meaning, Peeta knows when you're getting overwhelmed, anxious, sad, hyper, happy, depressed etc. It's more than just recognising emotions, he also has plans in place for the negative feelings

Is he a peacock? No...but he does like to show off. Especially in front of you. Plus, he has a lot of emotional intelligence. That's why I think you would make a great fit!

For Isaac's birthday, after a few months of being together, you gifted him a crocheted beanie. It took a lot longer then you were expecting, since your OCD kicked in - it had to be perfect. But he loved it - even if you just gave him one square, he would have it in his pocket every single day.

One of Isaac's favourite things to do is nap with you. Especially in the middle of the day. You will whine and say, "but I feel like I'm wasting time!" and he would pout, gather you in his arms and say, "any time I get to spend with you, is never wasted."
