it's so important to me that matilda goes from "and not invite your family 'cause they never showed you love" to "you can start a family who will always show you love" because both lines hold such a significance but the difference in them because the "family" in the first line is your blood related family and the one in the 2nd line could be blood related but doesn't have to be because family is who YOU choose and idk it's just so beautiful to me

Harry's "best friend" is the best boyfriend in the entire world.

Y/n loved her boyfriend more than she loved most things. He called her all sorts of beautiful things, would give her beautiful gifts for no good reason, and most importantly, he loves her and doesn't let her forget it. Amongst their friend group, they are the perfect match. Never apart. Never not talking to each other. Completely connected. It's been like this for the past year, and she loved it.

It took a while to get used to the constant flow of compliments, but she soon learned to bask in them. She still blushes and giggles at them because she still got butterflies whenever he showered her with love.

Harry hated it.

He hated how his best friend asked out the girl he had a crush on for the last year of uni, the one he befriended first. He hated how happy she seemed under his arm. He hates everything about them.

But

He still likes her. He loves whenever he is lucky enough to catch her alone. He loves catching her eye in a crowded room. The thing he loves most is when she smiles at him. He would give up a lot of things to just see that smile more often. It's not like she doesn't smile. In fact, she is smiling almost constantly, but it never quite meets the eye.

It's another one of the friend groups' weekly brunches where Harry overhears a conversation that piques his interest.

"We need to talk, and I think we should leave." The once warm voice of Y/n sounds upset and shakey it makes Harry feel uneasy.

"Let's just talk here. If we leave, people will think something is wrong." Dean's voice is stern and unmoving.

"Fine." Harry has never seen her this upset. "I know that you're cheating on me. I just need to know what I did wrong." To add salt into the wound, she reaches out for his hand, and he pulls back.

"Y/n, I'm not talking about this here." This is what made the tear fall from her big eyes. Harry just wishes he could reach out and wipe them away.

Taking a shakey breath, "You treat me as if I hung the sun, so I don't know what I did." A small sob is let out. "I love you so much. You mean everything to me. I'll fix whatever is wrong with me, just please don't leave me for her." Y/n's begging and pleading is a bit louder than she intended.

"You need to leave. I'll tell everyone you have a family emergency that you need to tend to by yourself. Go home and pack your shit because I'm done." Never in Harry's life has he ever wanted to physically hurt someone until this moment.

"No, you're not doing this to me. You can't be." She's in complete disbelief. "You said you were going to marry me!" Y/n semi shouted. Everything is falling apart in front of her. The man she so deeply loved destroyed her with so little words that he deserved a prize.

He built up her confidence with his sweet nothings. He overfilled her with love and words of affirmation. He made her feel seen. Then he took it all away with an affair.

They talked about marriage and kids and a future where they would have a porch swing and watch their grandkids run around. He said he was looking at rings.

They were supposed to be together till the end, but now...

Her mind is racing. Was she not pretty anymore? Was she ignoring him? Was she just simply not enough for him?

As she is stuck in her mind, she doesn't realize Dean has completely left her.

She's slowly losing the ability to breathe, and she can't feel the ground beneath her feet. Harry watches it all, and he can't bear it anymore.

"Y/n, I'm so sorry, but we need to take deep breaths." He holds her shaking hands gently.

"I'm not enough for him anymore, Harry, I'm not enough." She sobs into his chest. He's now holding up half her body weight, and he cradles her head.

"He doesn't deserve you. How about we leave through the back door and we can go back to my place and change out of these uncomfortable clothes and watch some movies?" Harry whispers gently to her as her tears stain his shirt.

Although something he would never admit, his heart broke for her. Not because he was upset that the pair was officially broken up, but because of how much pain she is in from it. He knows how difficult this is all going to be on her, especially since her and Dean lived together.

For now, he just wants to be there as a best friend. He'll help her get back on her feet. He'll be the best person possible if it means she will be smiling and not crying.

She simply nods at his suggestion and whispers a small "please" that makes him frown at how meek she is.

"Ready to go?" Another nod follows, and they are on their way out, leaving the weekly brunch.

I don’t know if I’m overreacting but I’m genuinely concerned for H with all the mentions of cocaine on the new album. Like, 3 explicit mentions of coke. I know he’s a grown adult and can make his own decisions and shit but we’re talking about a highly addictive, harmful, life ruining drug. It’s illegal for a reason. Withdrawal from it alone could kill you, not to mention how easy it is to overdose and how easy it is to accidentally use something that’s laced. Cocaine is a hard drug that most people don’t think is that bad because of how normalized it is. Most people can’t get clean without help from professionals, because it’s that hard to get off of. And in Harry’s case, it’s not only normalized, but encouraged in the industry. It’s readily available and without a financial barrier, even easier to take without a second thought.

I’m not saying that H had an addiction to it, but I don’t think people realize how destructive of a drug it is, even after just a few hits. The fact that it’s mentioned not one, or twice, but three times through Hs3 is concerning. Like it’s that important to him that it was relevant to three different songs. And maybe I’m overreacting and whatnot but addiction ruined my life for 5 years and it terrifies me that H is taking drugs that could do the same and instead of people being concerned, they brush it off and say he can make his own choices. And that’s literally what addiction is, making a choice again and again until it’s not a choice any more. Hard drugs shouldn’t be so normalized in the industry, whether you’re a pop artist, an r&b artist or a hardcore punk rocker, drugs are bad and have no reason to be so glorified.

These are just my personal thoughts. I was on Twitter and saw discourse about it and was appalled at how many people just brushed it off and didn’t care, making jokes and even going as far to say that it’s hot. Anyway, I’m concerned and I think I have a right to be.

I have a theory.

So I’ve been thinking about the significance of the lemon at the bottom of the Harry’s House vinyl.

The first thought that comes to my mind is the saying, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”

Which makes me think about what Harry was saying about using quarantine to come to find peace and work on himself.

Kind of like turning a bad situation into something positive. Or making lemonade out of lemons.

Just a thought.

Harry is forced to go on a blind date, and y/n is the definition of the color pink.

Harry lives inside books, specifically of the romantic genre. He loves love but isn't seeking it out for himself. From what the past has taught him, dating just isn't for him.

But tonight, he has a date planned. His best (and only) friend, Niall, has set him up with his "perfect" match. Her name is Y/n, and the only thing Niall told him is that she owns a flower and book shop. Despite all efforts, Niall wouldn't allow Harry to cancel this date.

It's now 5 minutes before the date is supposed to start, and Harry is sitting down at this fairytale like restaurant in the heart of San Diego.

He's sitting, impatiently waiting for Y/n to show up. His nerves start to ramp up the closer it gets to eight. The time is now 7:59, and he hears something that piques his interest.

"Hi, I'm y/n, I have a reservation under the name, Harry." Her voice is soft and gentle. It sounds like she's never spoken above an "indoor" voice. She follows the hostess towards the table Harry is sat at. He gets up to greet her.

As she gets closer, his breath gets stuck in his throat. She is gorgeous, and according to Niall, her personality is phenomenal. He's never been more nervous in his life.

"Hi, you must be Y/n, I'm Harry!" His accent makes her fold, Niall didn't tell her anything about this Harry guy.

"Yes! It's nice to meet you." She goes in for a hug, and Harry has to say if he had to rate it, it was a 10/10 hug.

"So you told me you've been here before, what would you recommend?" She cocks a brow at him, and he just knows she's the one for him.
