Also if you like the oddness created by The Rehearsal by having people pose for real individuals you may want to check out this other documentary series called The Show About the Show
Tumblr media
In a way it's kinda the opposite because it's about looking back while The Rehearsal is mostly about preparing for the future... but in it the main filmmaker is always having actors stand in as people in his life as he reenacts recent developments and situations about the show and his life get more mixed and messy... There is More personal drama than The Rehearsal but it is very often funny and still does have real moments of heart (and not to mention I found it quite addictive) ..and you can watch most of it for free on the director's YouTube and Vimeo

A Noir Detective Story
It was a dark and stormy night. My gun was full of bullets, my tummy was full of jack daniels, and the city was full of crime. These streets ain't what they used to be, toots. I just walked past some guy pissing in an alley and he had such a huge hog. Wowza.

Years ago, we thought it'd be a good waste of time to shoot a horror-comedy short. It turned out to be the birth of our production company Ridiculous Danger.
The Bouncy Bunny A bedtime story becomes a journey of terror as a dad makes his way through the most horrifying children's book ever published.
Watch the whole thing at our site... If you dare.

Actor and missing link Harry Bigfoot, best known as the star of semi-biographical film and sitcom "Harry and the Hendersons," was found dead Tuesday in a motel pool in Buena Park, California. He was 58.
Animal control agents responded to the scene after complaints the corpse was "ruining the mood" for a couple having sex in the nearby hot tub.
"I'm not a cop or anything, but I think all these bullet holes in him might have something to do with it," Animal Control Officer Jimothy Sexpun said as he struggled to place the body in a large trash bag.
Born and raised in Lake Elsinore, California, Mr. Bigfoot was the victim of a hit and run after a drug deal gone wrong. This incident would serve as the basis for both his hit film and TV series.
But Mr. Bigfoot found little success after his show went off the air in 1993, often resorting to a life of petty crime and underground cage fighting to satiate his bloodlust - a problem that often set him at odds with his costars.
"I didn't care much for the way he'd maim, kill, and eat homeless men between takes," said former costar John Lithgow during a 1996 interview. "But he always made sure to pay them in advance, and I can respect that."
Mr. Bigfoot leaves behind unpaid debt and a used 1989 Nissan Sentra.

An indie short film about dead girls.
A Prom-Queen-to-be must break free from her small town's ominous legacy of Prom Queens that die after their crowning.
Tumblr media
The Ridge Grave Girls is a queer and feminist short film aimed at deconstructing the romanticization of dead girls. A dark coming-of-age satire sees opposites attract in a small-town high school - where the only way to truly live is to die.

And another thing is that, because we knew that from the time we've started the picture until it hit the screen, we never knew how long that would be, but we figured at least three years. By the time it started, until it was one the screen. So, we went on the supposition where we must use current gags. Because if we did, how silly it would be, if there wasn't something, I mean, a good example was that, once in a while, you bounced off of it, you just forgot it and you put something in that wouldn't be ridiculous later on. And particularly later, 'cause we didn't think our shorts were gonna last more than three years anyway, because there was no television or anything, or place for it to go. So, Friz had this "High Diving Hare" [...]. So one time, [Yosemite Sam] went running up on the top and, for some reason, Bugs had put a doorway there with a door on it. And so, Sam is just hammering saying "Open that door!". And then, he turns to the audiences and says "you notice I didn't say Richard".  Well, at that time, which was around 1948, there was a song called "Open the Door, Richard", it was some girl trying to get her boyfriend to open the door [...] it didn't mean anything to me because I didn't even know it. And kids today, that's still on the picture, you can't get away from it. It's an example of what would've happened. And why do our cartoons hold up? And why do they continue to compete evenly with people throughout the years, four, five, ten generations? Because, I think there is none of that. And when it does, it sticks out so far that the kid thinks it's his fault, he doesn't understand it. And that's fine, I can't think of anything I'd rather do than putting a kid at fault.

Women killing but the kill is. Really awkward. Like, couldnt be sexy even if you try. I mean you can, but its a little bit weird. The victim would be embarrassed for you that you fucked it up that badly.
