When I was 15, I had my wisdom teeth removed. I wanted to avoid using the pain medication they prescribed. I struggle a lot with sensory issues, medications and substances made it worse.

However, my surgery was for impacted teeth, and only two days in one of my stitches fell out. I was in so much pain, and couldn't eat solids w/ out pain for up to three weeks.

So, a week into my recovery, one of my friends invites me to their house. They were having our friend group over, it was just a little bonfire get together kinda thing. I took my pain meds a few hours prior, and only half a dose, but I was out of it to some degree, and somehow still in pain.

I was sitting on a lawn chair outside, when one of my close friends came over and asked to sit on my lap. Honestly, I said yes at first, because this was my childhood friend, someone I trusted, and I thought our relationship was incredibly platonic. Then he started to shift/grind about in my lap, and I started to feel things of theirs I did not want to. They made a noise that deeply unsettled me, and I told him to get off, they didn't. It was only when I told them that he accidently triggered the emergency call shortcut on my phone (it was in the pocket of the lawn chair, yes they were moving that much and I was moving trying to push him off) that he finally got up.

Does it ever hit you that because of Frank and Monica's emotional detachment, all of the Gallagher's seek out affection from romantic partners? But like to an almost obsessive degree.

Fiona's is obvious. She's hypersexual and falls in love easily. She will downplay her issues with Frank as something she's grown used to, but it's clear that it still affects her. She also does the same when it comes to Monica but I feel like her hostility towards other women comes from how she doesn't trust Monica, doesn't really trust herself, and sees those insecurities on other women. Ex: Her treatment of Mandy and distrust of her around Lip.

Lip is a classic case of a man dealing with his mommy issues by making it every woman's problem. He's hostile towards his romantic partners when they want a real commitment from him and he talks to women with so much disrespect that it's a wonder someone hasn't stomped his ass out yet. He's especially harsh towards his own sisters even though they've been the one's who have been there for him. He may hate Frank but he's noticeably giving and extremely forgiving towards men, even those he's only known for a short while. Almost like the story about the turtle was just as much about him hoping that he could fix Frank as it was about Frank crushing his hopes of a real father figure.

Ian being groomed is in no way his fault and is the fault of the creeps who pursued him. But I can't ignore the fact that Frank's abuse and neglect opened him up the further abuse he suffered at the hands of Kash and Ned. It's no coincidence that both Kash and Ned shower Ian with gifts and compliments about how impressive, smart, and mature he is.

Debbie 1. deals with comphet in the first few seasons, and 2. Feels ignored by her family so she tries to create her own family. Debbie is visibly the one most affected by Frank's issues and even when she for all intents and purposes gives up on him, it still affects her. Frank's hurtful words about her only finding love with someone "just as fucked up as she is" pushes her to put consider a dangerous situation with Heidi. She's also someone who struggles with control issues because she needs to help other people. She's a problem solver by nature. It's just that the two problems she wishes she could solve more than anything are out of her hands (Frank and Monica). She can't fix Frank's addiction, his selfishness, or his abusive tendencies. She can't fix Monica's wanderlust, her avoidance, or her aversion to long-term commitment.

Carl is so good at masking his emotions. It's easy to miss. But then you notice things like his attachment to Fiona, his absolute devotion to the girls he likes, and his need to protect. Carl is hypersexual, even though I've seen it rarely brought up in fandom, and longs for a long-term girlfriend. When he does get girlfriends he's all in from the beginning. When Carl loves someone he is all about them. He's so casual when it comes to talking about Frank and Monica, but that doesn't mean those feelings aren't there and they aren't affecting him.

Liam is still young so we don't get to see him in a relationship. He's the one Gallagher who's consistently treated like an actual kid. Probably the one who has the best chance at healthy emotional attachments. But then again, Fiona leaving most likely did a number on him and we weren't privy to what that looks like for him because the latter seasons forgot how to do long-term storytelling and emotional payoff. All we know is that he doesn't remember Monica, Frank being gone makes him an orphan and he's worried about where he's gonna live because Lip forgot that Liam was technically under Frank's care. We didn't get to see it, but I'd say Liam's first emotional crash is probably on the horizon.

I believe that when she was a soldier in the armed forces, she was totally confident and determined, many men were around her because she was beautiful (and hot) so she had a razor instead of a tongue I believe, she was always shouting insults or belittling men, only with her commanders she was more... well-behaved.

In the interrogation part, we see her tell Alejandro that she didn't take orders anymore, but then you can understand that he was her commander, and she was certainly angry with him.

After she became owner of the cartel, her life became extremely stressful, she doesn't trust any of her men (I think Diego was an exception) she believes if something needs to be done it's perfectly fine to have a woman do it because she thinks men they don't think.

I like to think that she has a trophy wife that she only takes to events like parties, bars and meetings. The wife's only job is to stand there being pretty and not say a single thing.

Now let's talk about this truly passionate woman of ours.

If you are in a long-term relationship (5 or 3 years) she would be completely in love with you. The type of wife who comes home and gives you a long kiss and hug, to make up for lost time.

Her mother probably had a lot of problems with medication. I also think that Valeria always had an attitude, never lowering her head to anyone. No matter the occasion.

Her family on her father's side loved her and disliked her mother, she probably had kind and caring grandparents and aunts. I like to think that she spent a lot of time with her grandmother, cooking, helping her with everything.

She must have had cousins too, she and them would turn the house upside down.

There's a part in the interrogation scene where Alejandro is saying that she ruined the army and he says "and your brother too?" It makes me think that Valeria joined the army to prove that she had the same value as her older brothers (to prove to her mother that she was capable too)

I imagine her brothers being strong, big and courageous lieutenants, she could be close to one of the two, while she didn't even make a point of saying good morning to the other.

things that have stuck with me as a woc in (the zelda) fandom

Hey all. This post is mostly about the Gerudo and my own experiences in fandom as a Middle Eastern woman (will be using acronyms such as MENA and woc), because the longer I stay here the more insane I become. This post is mostly about a lot of horrible stereotyping, misogynistic, racist, etc. headcanons, and just downright horribly offensive comments I've witnessed that have stuck with me throughout my time here.

There are a lot of other problems in this fandom with a lot of other aspects of the games (the Zonai...) which I won't touch on, as the Gerudo resonate closest with me and I feel I have the authority to speak on these issues as I am MENA, and they are based on MENA stereotypes.

TW for racism, misogyny, xenophobia, abortion... it's just strange.

The most notable thing I've experienced during my time in this fandom is being spoken over, as a woc talking about woc issues, by white people. White people who were MY FRIENDS.

One instance that sticks out to me is when someone shared their art of Urbosa in a Zelda server. It was really sexualized, and her waist was EXTREMELY tiny. Below the art, the artist said, "her waist is snatched because she got an abortion." She didn't say this about the other characters she drew. Only the woc.

Do I need to elaborate on why that is a horrible, disgusting thing to say?

This really upset me. What upset me more, however, was that nobody spoke up. Nobody said hey, this is wrong, and what you said is gross. When I spoke about this with my friends, they continued to bash the art style or whatever and ignore the fact that what was said was disgustingly racist. Then, after repeating about 5 separate times the impact this had on me as a woc (because nobody was listening to me and the most action that was taken was hug emojis), I got asked: Are you MENA?

They chose to ignore the racism they were witnessing and then questioned my (already stated) credibility. To question my capacity to be upset, hurt, and angry. These were people I called friends.

This next instance was not me being spoken over, but it was... weird. In a Zelda server, someone shared their headcanons for their personal AU. One of these headcanons was:

The Gerudo stop aging until they meet their significant other.

The Gerudo stop aging until they meet their significant other.

This was to justify the person's pedophilic ship with Riju, which... yeah. Self explanatory. So not only that, but you are tying the life and worth of WOC to their partners which, in-game, are men. The Gerudo do not continue their lives until they met their partners. The woc do not continue their lives until they meet their partners.

Be real.

This person ended up getting called out (after MUCH convincing from me to do so...).

These are two specific instances that have stuck with me during my time in fandom, but now I'll touch on more general stuff.

The only way people speak about Urbosa or other Gerudo characters is sexually or violently. It seems we only have the capacity to say "yes mommy Urbosa step on me! Crush my bones!! Yes!!" which is actually extremely harmful. You can like the Gerudo. You can think they're sexy or hot. But you need to be more mindful about how you speak about them, because if the only way you can express your feelings about these woc is through acts of violence, that is a problem. Because you cannot see the Gerudo as characters beyond being man-hating lesbians to satisfy your own fetishes. By acting this way, you also contribute to the idea that Gerudo women cannot be feminine because they are brown-skinned. No other race in Zelda is spoken about this way.

The Gerudo are often attached to other characters, as mentioned previously. I think this is most commonly and easily seen with Urbosa. Whenever she is discussed, it is in relation to Zelda (mother-daughter relationship) or Zelda's mother (having an affair or whatever other headcanons there may be). It is rare that Urbosa is written on her own, outside of her relationships. Not like she has an entire society to run or anything.

Let's also not forget about the sexualization of Link in his Gerudo vai outfit. Yes, it's cute. Yes, it looks good on him. But so many of you borderline fetishize him wearing it. However, I don't think I know enough to speak on this specific issue, so I will stop there with that.

I will never forget the time I came across a post saying that the existence of Ashai, a pale Gerudo, is racist.

Here is Ashai. She teaches the dating lessons in Gerudo Town. As you can see, she is paler than a lot of the Gerudo.

However, contrary to the westernized belief that all Middle Eastern people are literally brown-skinned Muslims, the Middle East is extremely diverse. Middle Eastern people are pale, dark, brown, tall, short, Muslim, Christian, Jewish. We are not carbon copies of each other like this poster wanted the Gerudo to be. In fact, this same exact identical-ness is what made early versions of the Gerudo so racist. The one thing Nintendo did right was having a diverse range of skin tones for the Gerudo in BOTW, and by saying Ashai's existence as a pale Gerudo is racist, you erase all of that progress.

Race is not just in your skin tone. It's in your eyes, your nose, your mouth, your ears, your body. That is why, despite being pale, Ashai is Gerudo. Ashai is a WOC.

This post is not intended to stir up drama, because if you believe racism = drama, that is not on the poc calling it out.

If you are a white person who is friends with POC, this doesn't make you exempt from contributing to the harmful stereotypes or racism.

Pudding is such a complex character! I love her so so much! She really means the world to me. Honestly, her whole story is completely relatable and the fact that it's basically used to parallel Sanji's doesn't help. It just makes everything hurt more. I could talk about her for hours and how misinterpreted her character is due to fandom discourse and the recent wave of "puritanism" within the internet.

I'm not gonna get too into fandom discourse because I hate it and I already have horrible experiences about it in this fandom (with Lawlu, specifically), but... I find it stupid. Her character has so many layers. She's just as complex and traumatized as Sanji. That's... That's quite the whole point? She made mistakes and has mixed feelings and different types of personalities due to her past and trauma responses. She made mistakes. Sanji made mistakes too. The only damn reason why people don't forgive her is because "she hurt our little meow meow <//3 She's so evil!!! Evil woman!!!" as if they wouldn't forgive her character right away if she were a MAN. Like. Misogyny who??

Anyway, I think it's pretty obvious people don't like Pudding because of obvious misogyny and overprotection of Sanji. Which is understandable because I'm also very intense when it comes to him, but damn... He would not like it if he knew y'all hate her for her mistakes.

Also, people only talk about her to say "she's a great character but her age gap with Sanj-" why does it always have to be about Sanji? Let the girl be her own character. Have you hear of the Bechdel test? No? Perhaps you could try it? Her character is obviously created for Sanji, but she's so much more! Let her escape!!! From the hands of patriarchy and men!! That being said, the whole discourse about their age gap is... Just... So fucking stupid.

Don't go cancelling me right away. I'm just saying that when it comes to stuff like age Oda doesn't seem to be very... Consistent? He's made mistakes before. And the Charlottes are a very huge family. I'm sure not even Oda knows the order of these children, lmfao. I think he would only say shit like "Katakuri is one of the oldest and Pudding is one of the youngest idk. Just made her one of the youngest to match Sanji's backstory of being one of the youngest". But leaving that aside-- Maturity never equals age in a show that's... About pirates... Where everyone has different experiences with different social surroundings... It's just like the Lawlu discourse, damn. You have to know the characters before saying crazy stuff like "Law would groom Luffy" because HOW??? HOW WOULD HE DO THAT??? That's basically impossible. And you need to think about the characters before assuming things. And Sanji and Pudding? Leaving aside the age difference, Pudding has more power over Sanji and that's noticeable. Does that even matter tho? They understand each other on the same level after all in the end. Tbh I couldn't tell about the age difference. I thought they were the same age ngl. Only found out bc I saw the discourse going on and my first reaction was "This is fucking dumb". Tbh their relationship is one of the healthiest I've ever seen for Sanji. We see him being himself for once without being extremely creepy. The whole arc about him losing himself is about a girl loving him for who he truly is. And the whole arc about a girl being judged for being different is about a boy loving her for who she truly is. It's so beautiful!!!

Anyway. Not the point. The thing is that people hate Pudding for... Absolutely nothing? Not knowing how to read complex characters? I still don't get it. Perhaps it's just that my mommy issues are too harsh and I can see through her but damn.

Ana also the whole thing about erasing Sanji's memories? People hate her for that and calling her... Selfish??? Did you not... Watch the scene... Of her crying because she lost the only person she has ever truly loved. But whatever. Call her selfish.

The way they don’t care about what people think and just start all out screaming at men is refreshing. They have many radfem forums and groups and the discussions in these websites is so much more practical than what I’ve seen here.

They are very focused on self improvement and achieving economic, political and social success compared to radblr which is more communist and promotes living in a little wooden cabin in the woods with some other women to be more eco friendly. Nothing against communism i just think while we’re already living in a capitalist society promoting communism in female spaces will just lead to women becoming poorer and oppressed further by rich men. And nothing wrong with being eco friendly either but I don’t think women living in a hut will do anything when men still at large continue to destroy the world. 

the main website korean women use to organise is called womad. It’s so much better than any feminist forum I’ve ever seen. It’s anonymous and usernames are automatically generated and change every hour or so so that no one can be recognized anywhere. The police have been trying to crackdown on them because of extreme misandry for a long time but all attempts have failed. 

From reading their posts it seems almost all of them have a good understanding of politics and economics. Their discussions are productive and they don’t have any infighting like radblr and they don’t let any other social issue distract them from the real enemy which is men. What do you think could be the reason behind this? Are korean women just intellectually superior? I personally feel like korean women have the highest iq of all women. I look up to them a lot and womad has taught me a lot.

I wish indian women would catch up. I’m sick of indian moids taking up every inch of space in this country. Every street in india is filled with moids, it’s so dystopian there are no women in sight. Megan’s fans need to stop acting like EST is the only people who have a problem with her. “EST starts drama over everything” I’m sorry but EST wasn’t any of the thousands of comments Colson had under his post calling him an abuser and much much worse (literally) EST wasn’t the ones doing hundreds of hateful blogs about him an hr after she posted those. But at the end of the day Megan is a grown women with three kids and she knows she has a MASSIVE following and KNOWS that if she post something especially anything breakup related it would go viral extremely fast. She knows his fans watch her every move. She acts like a immature 14 yr old going through a middle school off and on relationship and not a grown women who claims she wants to blend both families together. I’m not saying Colson is perfect or that EST is but at least we call Colson out for the messed up shit he does and don’t try to brush it under the rug. She could of very easily cleared his name with a simple statement on her story but instead of owning up to her actions and facing her consequences she deleted her instagram and disappeared from the world while Colson had to go out and do his job and face all of the publics scrutiny bc of Megan’s own words and then she only showed her face when she knew the storm had calmed down and Colson had delt with most of the damage. Megan does not deserve Colson at all. That men has proved time and time again no matter how dirty someone does him he won’t air out anyones dirty laundry even if they do it to him first. And that entire situation told us everything about Megan’s character. Someone who cares so much about their partners feelings and so untuned to peoples auras and so empathetic to peoples past would never ever do wat she did. All she did was prove that if things go sour she would sell Colsons private conversations and secretes for a 15 min in depth interview. I just hope if they do have a contract that it also protects his privacy when the relationship ends

He has very low tolerance and does not have much self-control. If he wants something he will get it regardless of the other individuals wishes.

Ayato is the eldest of the triplets and being the eldest he was always pressurized to be the best. While his siblings were granted freedom to do as they please. Ayato was trapped and bound to his studies to be a successful and competent successor of the Sakamaki family. His mother was harsh and horrible to him which drove him to feel hostility toward his mother.

Perhaps, his nature of pranks, love for physical sports, and laid-back outfits are his way of accomplishing and regaining what was stolen from him as a child.

Ayato Sakamaki is a persistent one. Once he sets his eyes on someone. You're his. Whether you like it or not. Unlike his other siblings, he does not resort to tricks but is one who is upfront about his confession which is more like a statement claiming how he set his eyes on you and now you belong to him. He is extremely possessive and protective. He can't stand other men around you and will make sure the only man you can see is him. He would spoil you plenty and once you get to know him you'll realize how he has cute sides to him. Such as you compliment him. He'll blush. You tell him you love him. Blushes again.

billy has such pretty eyes and spends half his time glaring at people. super long eyelashes. i suspect he is a crier at times - mostly my justifications are he spends so much time emotionally repressed and angry that any time he feels anything else he is probably overwhelmed immediately. this side is probably more easily accessible when people are kind to him, praise him (praise kink certainly), and/or break him down a little. [ although i see this only in more romantic based dynamics and not merely 'fucking'. ]

he's also probably a chaotic bisexual & switch. i debating his sexuality for a while since his interactions with steve in canon were questionable and loaded within my interpretation of it, i was sitting pondering about it. but i think in reality, my billy is attracted to pretty people first. and the second phase is those who treat him well + understand him beyond the surface level stuff. he has a type (but also willing to venture from his usual type as well, just depends dynamics)

This being said his relationships with men is far more chaotic than women because he deals with a lot of internalized homophobia, stereotypes, fear of the repercussions since it wasn't really woke then and his dad is awful. He would also struggle with submitting to another guy 'cause that's so different than how he is and how he portrays himself. Depending on verse/dynamic it is possible but under certain circumstances otherwise Billy would probably be the 'top' or willing to 'switch' in most male x male relationships but nearly never exclusively bottom. He has a fragile ego and doesn't want to give out control to anyone else easily.

Billy probably would eventually come to like / accept being taken care of in aftercare scenarios and melt if he got comfortable of the idea of submitting over control (in any fashion & not just position wise). After enduring so much and trying so hard, having no worries + decision making required would probably be stress relieving for him. But in the end, I do not think he could really be controlled or tamed or even pacified for very long before he's back on his bullshit.

His type is pretty, kind, soft people typically. Those who pose little threat to him and treat him well, feel safe, etc. Also the sort of people he can protect. Although I think another sort of dynamic that goes well with him are people who are equally toxic, can hold their own with him, and can put him in his place. [ he has mommy and daddy issues, so please boss him around. ]

He is an extremely jealous partner and lover. I think this one probably goes without saying. It stems a lot from his own insecurities but he cannot stand the idea of losing those he is invested in/cares about. It branches off probably making him overprotecting and hovery as well at times. The type to wait up for his partner to get home so he can go to sleep without worries or show up randomly to pick his partner up from places to make his presence known. Insecure and stubborn. [ he probably often leaves a lot of marks on his partners, a visible reminder. ]

He is unlikely to cheat on any of his partners simply because his abandonment issues are so strong despite how he might seem or appear.

A/N: Hey y’all! I’m back from school just yesterdayyyy. Also happy pride month to everyone! To celebrate I wanted to make this so you can know my OCs better and learn more mini stories while you read!

Asa (AroAce)

• Asa never had any interest in romance. Even when she was just a kid she had a poker face when her mother, Felicia would tell her and her sisters about how mommy and daddy got together. Meanwhile Amaya was giggling excessively and Akemi was daydreaming about having a Prince as her boyfriend.

• Her father, Vincent was even perplexed when Asa got older and he needed to give her ‘the talk’ regarding that she might have to marry someone one day because she’s technically the eldest and she’ll be the heir to everything he every made one day, but she was like “oh… is this like a requirement?? Ok-”

• In the end it didn’t matter since her parents got killed and the vampire hunters literally stole everything they owned-

•So yeah. It meant that Asa didn’t have to marry a noble anymore. (vampire or human)

• Decades passed and she never tired anything with the staff she worked with when she was a maid, any criminals she associated with, or any targets she had to shoot to get some money-

• it wasn’t until she started listening to Amaya gush about her crushes at school did Asa realize that she may not feel the same. Asa even talked about this with Akemi and one google search later, they found the term ‘aroace’ and Asa was like “OH!” and it has been stuck with her till this very day.

•This also caused a lot of the students in Ryoutei High to mourn the loss of having a chance to date Asa-

Akemi (Bisexual)

• To say Akemi’s journey was more complicated is a bit of an understatement. She literally got sex ed and realized fairytales aren’t real the hard way when she first arrived to the brothels. So yeah.. it left her more distant and got herself trust issues and commitment issues-

• Then there was Irina. Akemi pondered over her for a long time and realized that she might be only attracted to women instead of men. So she usually stuck with having extremely close relationships with women. She never allowed them to touch her too intimately, she was still jumpy if anyone got close to her privates.

•The many women Akemi was emotionally intimate with were super sweet and called her “cutie” while tickling or embracing her. Looks didn’t really matter to her. (This is when she realized she like to be teased by older and more mature partners-)

•Fun fact: Shu realized Akemi was bisexual when they were looking at this one girl who was walking past them at the same time. He also found out they had similar (not exactly the same) tastes in ladies too-

• As for the story when Akemi realized that she also liked men was… really funny if you asked Amaya. It was because her first man crush was a PRIEST, IN EUROPE. He was around his mid-20s, dark hair, about a head taller then her, quite handsome (picture Henry Cavil) and Akemi usually saw him after she fed on some dear in the woods and they would talk with a fence in between them.

• Akemi recalled how kind and gentle he was towards her. He never touched her inappropriately since he was technically not allowed to do so, which Akemi found super comforting. She even remembered how he would blush around her and found it extremely cute. (This is when she realized she like to tease others too-)

•Akemi was thankful that Karlheinz gave her one more day in France so she could see that priest again. One thing lead to another and Akemi was able to score a make out behind the church and away from prying eyes. She can still remember the stubble under her palms when she caressed his face and his big hands stroking her back while his thin chapped lips pressed against hers… god she loved every single moment of that.

• Since then, Akemi realized that her ideal type for men was well built and shy. (*ahem* *ahem* Subaru-) Like she went nuts when she saw Leon Kennedy in Resident Evil 4 with Amaya in the original game.

Amaya (Pansexual)

• The village she was in made her think she only liked the opposite sex for a long time. Like they wouldn’t stop preaching about Adam and Steve is bad, Adam and Eve is good, and they would shoot daggers from their eyes when Amaya is near just because she was an outsider. So it didn’t exactly give Amaya any way to even try romantic pursuits.

•To Amaya it didn’t seem to matter, she’s a social butterfly and she has a energetic and bubbly personality, what could go wrong???

• Amaya was pretty confused for about a few decades until one day she wanted to bar hop like Akemi and drank with other people alongside her. She eventually sneaked out of the manor and when she tried beer after a long time, she found a cute guy sitting by himself and Amaya wanted to approach them. That “cute guy” turned out to go by different pronouns and that encounter got her thinking real hard about whether or not she’s not straight.

•Akemi once again came to Amaya’s room and listened to her sister rant about other people she met and she was like “I just LIKE THEM??!!” Amaya even asked Akemi to round off certain characteristics of all the humans she liked before. Were they kind? Toxic? Attractive to what kind of standard??? It took a while until Akemi just patted Amaya’s shoulder and just said “I guess you just like those people regardless? You don’t exactly think about their gender. All I hear you talk about is how much you like spending time with these people.”

• Then all of a sudden, everything clicked in Amaya’s mind. Akemi got a big hug after that and Akemi still warned her little sister to show any potential partners to her and Asa just to make sure Amaya doesn’t get a bad apple.

•Few months later Amaya wouldn’t stop talking about @ruki--mukami. Her sisters’ reactions were… smth. 😀 They kept questioning between themselves on why Amaya picked him…
