OHMYGOD HELLO ???? you have no idea how excited i got when i saw your user. i love your writing so much its actually amazing !!! anyway, here you go !! it might be a bit long and it probably sounds like i was rambling a bit sometimes because my brain literally. exploded. but uhh yeah !! i hope its okay (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡

- a couple days ago your best friend, schlatt, asked if you could look after his cats whilst he went out to film something for his channel. he'd promised you they wouldn't be too much of a problem.

- of course you'd said yes, not wanting to let him down. it was only for the day, couldn't be too big of a job, right? oh my god you were wrong. those two cats were just so CHAOTIC when they were together.

- that day you learnt that a black cat and an orange cat are not a good combo.

- absolute hell. you had jambo running about, doing classic orange cat stuff, and the other little guy was so. loud. literally all he did was MEOW. it didn't help that he didn't let you pet him much, seen as he didn't know you.

- you'd tripped over them more times than you could count, and, honestly, you had considered calling schlatt and telling him to come home more than once.

- it got even worse when they started to get hungry. literally round your legs CONSTANTLY meowing. it was only when you walked into the kitchen that you realised they were hungry.

- once you'd fed them, there was finally peace and quiet. so you decided to go and relax on the couch. it was late, and you were beginning to get tired anyway. you curled up and went on your phone, mindlessly scrolling through twitter. (X?? idk i just call it twitter LUL)

- after around ten minutes, both cats pattered back into the living room. you sighed, expecting them to wreak havoc again, but instead they both jumped up on the couch, and came to lay with you.

- you put your phone down as they did so, and jambo came to curl up right in your arms, whilst the other kitty laid in between your legs.

- you smiled, happy that the two kitties had finally calmed down. infact, everything was so calm and quiet that you felt yourself drifting off.

- it didn't take long for you to finally fall asleep, with the two cats being snuggled up to you, they gave you a lot of warmth.

- not long after you'd fallen asleep, schlatt had gotten home. he was grinning as he got to his front door, expecting you to be up with the cats, waiting for him.

- he opened the door, shouting a, "hey toots! i'm back!" as he walked down the hallway. as he rounded the corner to walk into the living room, his jaw literally dropped. very dramatic reaction from mr. schlatt here.

- his eyes travelled from you, to the black cat inbetween your legs, then to jambo, and he felt himself smile. maybe he even felt himself go a little pink.

- the fact you were comfortable enough to fall asleep in his house made his heart beat just that little bit faster, but he had no clue why.

- and then it hit him. as he looked at your pretty face again, studying you as if you were an art piece in a gallery, he realised he had feelings for you.

this was originally meant to be like. a proper fic. but i then realised that my brain cannot comprehend writing an actual story right now so it got turned into a bulleted thing i hope you dont mind (⁠｡⁠ŏ⁠﹏⁠ŏ⁠)

Idk this idea keeps rattling my brain— I must share and ramble to you about Matt hehe. AND LIKE I WANT UR INPUT ON THIS, idk how to flesh this out at all.

There’s a printer shop that also prints out braille papers for documents and stuff, right? So the reader is the one working in that printer shop, and my what if scenario is that usually Foggy or Karen picks up those files cuz Matt is out doing Daredevil things and befriends Foggy and Karen, and the reader was always like curious to who the braille papers are for.

THEN ONE DAY, Matt has to pick up those documents and legal papers from that store and he’s all flirty and the reader is like stumbling over her words and never expected him to ever show up.

I dunno, this idea has been rolling around in my brain 🥺😭

First off--OH I LOVE THIS! Do you know if it's just a one shot you want to write or is it a couple of parts? My advice would be to break it down by scene to start with (and you might think of more as you're writing). I'll just give examples of what I see from what you've said which might help you flesh it out or come up with scenes that you see happening. If that makes sense?

And because this is probably a long post, I'll put it after the cut off for those who aren't interested in my rambling.

I could totally see Reader having an interaction with Foggy or Karen as they're coming in to pick up the papers like they usually do--joking around, asking how the week is going, etc. Then we see Reader yet again wondering who it is they're always picking the papers up for as they're leaving. If she's become friends with them already, she must know that they work for Nelson & Murdock (or Nelson, Murdock, & Page if she's part of the firm), so she knows he's a lawyer but not much else. Or you could always have it be that Foggy and Karen think Matt would like her, so they scheme to make him go pick up the papers to finally have them meet. Especially if they've been getting to know her for awhile and have become friends with Reader. Maybe if they've been scheming to set them up, Foggy and Karen might've already been telling Reader a little about Matt and she thinks he sounds perfect and she already has a little crush on him without having met him.

Then maybe it cuts to a few nights later, she's doing her usual work and then she hears someone enter the shop and looks up and spots Matt. And is like...dumbstruck at first. Because one: he's insanely attractive. And two: she's never seen him in there before. So when she asks how she can help him, she's fumbling over her words. When he says he's there to pick up the order for the firm, flashing his charming smile because he can read that she's flustered, she's surprised he's that guy. Then he flirts a bit more before he leaves.

Cut to another night--it isn't Foggy or Karen picking up the papers this time, but Matt. Again. And he's flirty and charming and she's stunned that he showed up again, wondering why he's once again picking up the order when he usually never does. Then either that night or another night he stops back in to pick up the papers and he asks her on a date?

Just some suggestions on helping you flesh it out! Hopefully I didn't overstep with offering ideas, but I think you have a great idea there and you can certainly play around with it and come up with something great! If you write it please tag me or let me know because I'd love to read it!

the whole first kitchen scene took a long time to write. not as long as the second kitchen scene that took all of my brain power, but this one also took some writing and rearranging and editing/deleting. like the 3tan9 scraps docs is 3k+ words. i had to shave off a lot that didn't seem like it fit right! but i'm proud of reader for telling yoongi what she said to jk. like. that's a huge admission (aND it's literally reader's last thought in sundress season!!!! this wasn't a surprise but it is to yoongi :')))) )

I actually meant to comment on this a while back, but I couldn't figure out how to word it. Yet this is the third or fourth time I've reread it, and it still hits just as hard (maybe even harder) as the first time I read it, and so I finally decided to force myself to comment (I really should make a habit of commenting!) Poetry fics are something that I find quite rare and underrated. Practically every time I've seen one, I've loved it, and this one certainly isn't an exception. I love how you implement and bounce off of the canon dialogue, and I love the main point as well - I completely agree that Asougi isn't necessary different, he's just showing another side of him (yeah, looking back at case 1, you can see the threads of his later characterization poking through). You manage to perfectly encapsulate his feelings/emotions on the subject! The Ship of Theseus is something I've learned about through fics, and I love the usage of the reference here, subverting it in a way ("Seems irrelevant when you haven’t fulfilled the only prerequisite"). My first instinct was to comb through all the lines and pick out some of my favorites, but I can't do that, because there's so many good ones! There's also the fact that the lines are all intertwined so well; they lead into each other so well and I feel that every word, every line, has a purpose. Essentially, I really like this, and I just wanted you to know that! I hope you're having a great day, and in the event that you choose to write another fic/poem in the future (as mentioned in the author notes), I hope you'll have fun :)

IT'S KAY!!!! i love that this edgeworth is a little more realistic because he's less confident, i definitely dont think someone raised by von karma would be rich with confidence even at 20 and especially not for his first case, and i especially loved how his uneasiness is built up through the elevator incident and the nightmare which makes it even MORE realistic so it's really fun to read and gets you into his headspace way easier. i also love how edgeworth immediately notes the similarities between his situation and kay's, even before faraday's death, and can't really shove aside his emotions with his logic yet because of it. great chapter!!! i am so excited to read more thank you so much for writing and sharing this with us!!

So I came across this fic while I was taking a break from housework, I had just put a sinkful of dishes in hot water, and I was like “I’ll just read the first page while my dishes are soaking” and now it’s two chapters later and my dishwater’s cold and I’m still reading! Wood Working Toshi, hmm let me think. I have soft thoughts at the moment:

I think woodworking would start as a hobby project during quarantine and, his first project would be building your foster dog a dog house. He would spend hours upon hours watching videos to get it right because he isn’t a guy who half-asses things.

For every dog the two of you foster, that dog would get their own personalized dog house, which would be sent with them upon adoption. It is his way of showing the dog how much he loves them and wants them to feel safe.

He’d make you a few birdhouses you could put up in the garden after, hearing you wish for hummingbirds and little critters to visit your backyard. He'd even research the types of seed mixes to buy and make sure the houses were filled every night so that in the morning, there were always a few birds and animals for you to watch as you had your morning coffee.

One afternoon, you'd notice that your backyard would be full of supplies. Upon asking Toshi what his latest project was, he'd say it is a surprise before kissing you and heading out to the garden to work on it. There would even be a tarp partition blocking your view of him. On your anniversary, he'd lead you to the garden and unveil a gazebo with a table set for two. After dinner the two of you would sway to the music playing faintly in the background, under the warm fuzzy haze of fairy lights. 

Dad Toshi would take his daughter's wishes for a castle literally and would build her a castle treehouse for her birthday. You'd often find the two of them having tea parties up in the castle after he comes home from practice.

My horny thoughts are incoherent. But in all honesty, it's just him doing this, but shirtless and sweaty:

Collins was a much different scenario: he had just watched Klaus slaughter a bunch of people in a very inhuman way, and understandably was a tiny bit disturbed by it. But even a far more benign scenario in which Klaus confesses what he is to someone he considers a friend and comrade-in-arms is never going to be low-key. It's very difficult for humans to accept being confronted by the monstrous, especially in the guise of their friend. We see this even in far more 'normal' situations in which a friend or family member is accused of a horrific crime. Either you can't bring yourself to believe it, no matter the abundance of evidence, or you're horrified. There is sometimes instantaneous denial; but never instantaneous acceptance. No matter how open-minded one is, if his comrade-in-arms suddenly tells him, "So, cool story, I'm actually a thousand year old cannibal and all my siblings are in caskets for rejecting me. You're gonna' keep being my friend, right????", he's hardly likely to initiate the Secret Bro Handshake. And I think anything less than total and immediate acceptance would trigger that unstable pissbaby.

seungmin, using people’s misconceptions about him to his advantage, playing the part of a weak little boy until he can turn the tables and press down on his opponent. tag, with a happy-go-lucky smile that never seems to disappear masking his skills and capability for efficient, if brutal, violence. raised apart in a world where no one could understand them, they found kinship in each other, a kinship that they found solace in and vowed not to let go of. ohmygod yes yes yes! everyone would underestimate and when their opponents realize its going to be too late because they didn’t expect this powerful combination. they are raised in a world and a time where things never went their way both seungmin and youngtaek realize that no matter what they have one another. their bond is one that cant be broken except through death or not even though that because memories serve as a powerful reminder when the other person is left behind. memories are a curse and a blessing - always reminding you of the bittersweet past. one in which both boys were  betrayed by the world they lived in, the people they had once counted on. or in another lens, it serves as a way to cherish beautiful moments they spent together relying on one another when they only had each other.

but in all honesty, i left it open- ended with only boss because i was thinking the exact same thing since both of them work. in my head seungmin simply has to be someone with some sort of ‘authority’ - so whether its underground like in a mafia au or boss ceo then it works or like. we can even do something as random as like i dk seungmin owning a local store or a bakery or smth im sucker for aus like this as well lmao but  (cue sad background for seungmin) and taking in youngtaek (who idk comes out of jail or smth or is like lost in life - he still knows how to fight ) and has no idea where to go and what to do with life and finds himself under the guidance of seungmin and youngtaek in return helps seungmin out at the store. and whenever someone wants to cheat seungmin out of money or underestimates him youngtaek is there as his right hand man.

Kari’s Marvelous 2k Writing Challenge

Thank you so much, guys. I honestly didn’t expect this blog to grow the way it has when I started it. I love this fandom and I love reading for these characters as much as I love writing for them, so let’s celebrate with a challenge, shall we?

THE PLOT GETS THICC

Albert stood and backed away from Race, “What the fuck. Who are you? Why did you come here? How did you find me?”

Race closed his eyes, and rubbed his temples, “Like I said, I have sources. Listen, I fucked up and nowhere else is safe for me right now. Your apartment is inconspicuous. No one would think to look here.”

“So your part of Prospect?” Albert asked, “Or..”

“No, I’m part of Empire,” Race said, calmly.

“Ohmygod, I’ve got a fucking beat up gang member on my couch. Prospect’s gonna find you and kill you and then probably kill me too. Why didn’t I mind my own business?” Albert rambled, feeling anxiety building in his chest rapidly.

“Calm down, please, I’ll explain,” Race insisted. Albert took a breath and sat down on the floor, still keeping distance between him and Race.

“Okay, I’m listening,” He said, “Wait, aren’t gang members supposed to like keep their shit secret?”

“Yeah, that’s why I lied to you earlier,” Race said, nonchalantly.

“What?” Albert exclaimed, “So then what about right now? Wouldn’t you still have to lie?”

“No,” Race said, “Because I know you won’t tell anyone.”

Albert narrowed his eyes skeptically, “How do you know that?”

Race smiled unsettlingly, “Because, you’re going to come with me after this.”

Albert stood up, “Oh fuck no I’m not, get out.”

Race reached into the waistband of his pants and pulled out a handgun, then pointed it at Albert, “Yes you are. Sit down, and I’ll explain. You’re useful.”

Albert blanched and slowly lowered himself down, sitting once more, “How the hell am I useful?”

Race lowered the gun, but kept it pointed at him, “You’re pushy and convincing.”

Albert grimaced, “I hate myself, I shoulda just given you you’re wallet and left.”

“But you didn’t,” Race said, “Which says something about your personality. You’d be great for Empire.”

Albert laughed incredulously, “What the fuck is happening.”

“Quit saying that and let me explain,” Race rolled his eyes.

“What if I don’t agree to help you?”

“You’re going to agree.”

“Or what?”

“Or I’ll shoot you, now please shut up.”

Albert felt a wave of nausea hit him, “Fine,” he said, his voice cracking slightly.

“So it’s true that I have heroin on me, but that’s not why the police were after me earlier,” Race started.

“Why were they after you then?” Albert interrupted.

“I’m explaining that. Jesus you’re really annoying, you know that?”

Albert pouted, but gestured for Race to continue, “I’m the resident graffiti artist for Empire. I do the usual graffiti shit, ya know, vandalism and all that, but graffiti is also the way we communicate discreetly with other boroughs, as well as Prospect.”

“How is that discreet? Graffiti is pretty damn obvious,” Albert pointed out.

“Exactly,” Race said, “It’s hiding in plain sight. We use pictures and symbols to reference meeting places and deal times. For the longest time, the NYPD just wrote it off as harmless graffiti, but someone tipped them off and they found out that the gangs were using it for communication. Anyway, I was leaving a message for Queens this morning over on the Queensboro Bridge and I guess the bulls saw me doing it and recognized the symbols I was using. So they started to come for me and I ran. I caught a taxi and booked it over here, but I guess they figured I’d be somewhere in Manhattan and they found me again. They tried to get me over near Washington Heights, but I dodged them and ran again. Which is where I bumped into you.”

“Right, so when and why did you get beat up? And by who?” Albert asked.

“Yeah, so a little after we parted ways, I made my way to The Lodging House-”

“-The Lodging House?” Albert asked, cocking his head.

“Yeah, it’s kinda like a hub for drug deals. Prospect and Empire used it as a trade space back when we were mutuals. But since we’ve been at war it’s been mostly abandoned, hence why I went there.”

“I’m guessing it wasn’t as abandoned as you’d thought?” Albert asked, propping his chin on his hand.

Race nodded, “Yep, there were a few Prospect guys already there. I don’t know how they knew I’d show up, but they did. Queens is technically Prospect’s territory, but we’ve been trading over there for awhile.”

“Oh yeah,” Albert said, “Ain’t that the reason you’re fighting?”

“Mhm, Empire’s technically got control of The Bronx and Prospect’s got Queens, and at first, we’d had Staten Island split evenly between us.”

“What happened?”

“Well, a few months ago there was a, uh, a disagreement between Prospect’s leader and his, uh, second. His second ended up leaving and going to Empire instead. It was messy. Yeah, anyway, since then, Prospect’s been feeling pretty petty and they were like ‘fuck it, let’s break our deal with Empire and take their territory’. So to get back at them, we started selling in Queens and they don’t appreciate that.”

“Who’s their leader?”

Race scowled, “Spot Conlon. Real pain in the ass, but a damn good leader.”

Albert hummed, “What about his second? Who was he?”

An odd expression flashed across Race’s face and he averted his eyes from Albert’s, “No one.”

“Oh.”

Race fiddled with his gun idly, evidently lost in thought and Albert cleared his throat awkwardly, “So they beat you up ‘cause they knew you’d been in Queens?”

Race blinked, seemingly coming back to reality, “Hm? Oh, yeah basically. Beat the shit out of me and I was caught off guard, so my fight response wasn’t as sharp as my flight response. I managed to escape, but not before they made me lose my lunch by marking their territory with that fucking burn. Hurt like a bitch.”

“And then you came here,” Albert finished for him.

“And then I came here.”

Albert took a deep breath, processing everything Race had just told him, “Can I ask a question?”

Race shrugged, “Sure.”

“So I know you have ‘sources’ or whatever, but seriously, how’d you find where I live?” Albert asked.

Race looked down at his gun and clicked the safety on, “Easy. I went back to Jacobi’s and asked for your receipt from earlier, claiming that I wanted to know how much you had paid so I could pay you back. When Jacobi gave it to me, I saw that you’d signed your first and last name, so I took note of it and used some of my gang member magic to track you to your address.”

“That’s creepy as fuck,” Albert said, slightly horrified.

“Yeah, well, that’s the tea, sis.”

Albert scoffed, “Did you just- you know what? That is not the wildest thing you’ve said so far, so I’m not gonna question it.”

Race laughed loudly, “Good choice. Hey, DaSilva’s a cool last name, by the way. What is it? Portuguese?”

“Nah, Brazilian.”

“Really?” Race looked confused, “You don’t look Brazilian.”

“Yeah, well, my dad is, but my mom’s Irish, so I got her looks.”

“Ah,” Race nodded, “Makes sense.”

“Back to this whole gang war shit,” Albert said, finally standing from his place on the floor, “Where do I come into play in all of this?”

Race stood as well, stowing his gun back into his waistband, “Like I said, you’re pushy and weirdly convincing. You have an odd sort of charm about you.”

“Okay…” Albert eyed him wearily.

“We need you to get on Prospect’s good side.”

“Jesus Christ.”
