and (pointing at nothing) gourd isn’t really HEALTHY about his execution of his purpose either in that he is kind of insane about it. like he completely lacks a sense of self-preservation until after post-shb. he fully considers the possibility he will get blown up and die one million times and inflict terrible violence and just accepts that as almost a matter of fact. i think from a surface level outside view he can very much be taken as someone with an almost unnatural religious fanaticism but at the same time he’s like. not. he doesn’t actually ascribe to a divinity or a belief that he specifically will be rewarded or saved. he doesn’t do it out of need for approval or self hatred or insecurity or to prove his loyalty. he just believes that if he dies something stronger will grow in his place because that’s what he sees in the world all the time. if he believes in a heaven or hell it’s not somewhere else but right here.
his weirdness about it if anything comes from a sense of detachment-but-not-alienation that he found in the wake of the spires dying. the human part is is that this is him making sense of their choice to fight and die even though it hurt him. he WAS for a long time lost and empty in the wake of that decision and this is how he found purpose…it’s just that just because it came from troubled waters doesn’t mean it’s untrue or just a cheap justification. he feels like his place in the world is a given just because he was born, because that’s what he thought of his loved ones. he loves the world and his own existence within it but he loves the world just as much without so he sees no point in being defensive about his life. it’s very much like. a cucumber is a cucumber and it’s still a cucumber if you ate it. this is making even more sense as I keep going on

Hmmmm Sanji keeps his dress from Kambakka but one day when he’s looking for something deep in his locker the dress falls out and the crew get ahold of it.
They think he’s stolen it from some poor girl and they scold him for it, how dare he actually act on his perv tendencies?
And Sanji like. Feels real weird and sad and upset and doesn’t understand why. Just grabs the dress and throws it overboard in a huff. Doesn’t explain to them where it came from because why would he.
But he. He dwells on it. He’d kept the dress because he liked it.
Well. The dress was ugly. But he liked what it did to him. Made him feel… soft inside.
But he can’t buy another one, not now. He knows, intrinsically, that it would be soul destroying for the crew to find a second dress and connect the dots— that they would realise that the dress is for him. That they would call him perverted for wanting to actually wear the dress.
It’s one thing to yell at him for stealing a dress. It’s another thing entirely for them to yell at him for owning it for himself.
He doesn’t know why. Just knows that it would hurt. So badly. For them to associate perverted actions with his desire to feel that… softness again.
So he doesn’t. He doesn’t dare buy anything like that again, buries that self down deep for years.
Maybe it’s after Luffy’s become pirate king. Maybe it’s after everything has settled down a bit. The crew meets with the Revolutionary Army and Iva is there.
And damn him, Iva just KNOWS things he shouldn’t, can strip someone bare with just a look. But when he looks to Sanji his expression is so SAD and it makes Sanji angry. How dare he be disappointed in him? Sanji’d never promised him anything, any change.
Maybe Iva takes him aside and Sanji’s ready for a lecture or a fight but all Iva does is say that if Sanji wants, he can raid Iva’s closet anytime. He’s welcome to anything in it.
Sanji knows that there’s a lot of fishnets and leotards in there, but also… those dresses.
And maybe, I mean, they’re in a public place, maybe Zoro overhears.
And he’s close enough to clock Sanji’s expression. He’s known the cook long enough to know what yearning looks like on him.
I dunno! I dunno what happens next! Probably that Zoro watches Sanji a lot because that’s what he does! Probably that he reevaluates small things like the way Sanji gazes in shop windows! Probably he does something really stupid like makes brazen comments at dinner
About how the revolutionaries could probably teach Nami a thing or two about clothes and even the guys look good in those romper things and skirts or whatever.
He’s probably real bad at it!! He’s saying dumb shit and Nami gets mad because she dresses just how she wants shut up!
Man. I dunno it prob still takes a while. But this is still before Sanji and Zoro are together. Because I think that Zoro supporting Sanji as a member of the crew is nice, that Sanji never worries that this is Zoro being blinded by love and willing say do things he doesn’t mean.
Like this is gruff annoying Zoro who fights with him and argues with him but Sanji sees the openings he gives.
Maybe the next time, another 6 months or a year down the line, that they see Iva, Zoro drags Sanji to her closet. Says “come on cook she could teach you some lessons in fashion, the suits are getting old.”
And maybe that’s the first time in three or four years that Sanji considers it. Puts on a dress that’s tight around the waist and it’s not tailored well— all his suits are tailored perfectly— but he gets that soft feeling again.
And it’s so fucking embarrassing to cry in front of Zoro so he doesn’t.
Or at least Zoro doesn’t comment on it.
And Zoro insists that Sanji takes it. He grabs a few others and throws them into Sanji’s arms and he’s somehow managed to pick out the most hideous ones that Sanji can imagine, but he’s overwhelmed and touched.
And maybe he starts small, back on the ship, but Zoro acts as a guard dog against the idea of anyone saying anything. Only has to actually snap at someone once (it’s Brook. Come on, man.) about how it’s not a perv thing get your eyes fixed (yohoho I don’t have eyes!) and Sanji takes a bit to recover from that but he does. Eventually.
And dresses aren’t an all the time thing they’re impractical and sometimes just not what his brain wants.
But maybe an extra bit of lace on his suits is good sometimes. Or a bodice under his collared shirt, just for the shape it gives him.
Or, on very rare occasions (when most of the crew is off exploring for the day) a miniskirt.
Maybe some days it’s nothing.
It’s fine. It’s all fine. It just gives him that soft feeling inside, that settled, good feeling.
It’s just, you know, a quiet happy ending.
(Also yeah he and Zoro start hooking up and then get together and all of that is messy as HELL and full of fights and crying and two day breakups and getting back together but that’s a different thing. Totally unrelated).

Ghostlight prompt: Danny and Duke being childhood friends, but Danny tells Duke the moment the accident happens and such cause he trusts him, only for Danny to go radio silent when giw decide to block the town communications in senior year.
So Duke-does he tell Danny he's Signal or not? Up to you-gets worried the longer no contact goes by.
Maybe the away game thing seen in other posts where the sports team still does away games and Danny gets enough good will with star or dash maybe and they send a message to Duke that's some coded phrase and Duke knows shits going down?
(yourlocalcorviddad, it's a side blog so didn't want to send from main sorry)
Danny is not someone who is on his mind a lot, these days. It’s to be expected, considering how distance and their double lives eat up all the time they have to talk. Really, it’s a miracle that they were able to speak enough to learn about their own individual vigilante work, especially with Duke bouncing around foster homes for a good portion of that time.
They haven’t spoke in months but that’s normal for them.
Duke thinks he can be forgiven for not knowing something was wrong. He still won’t forgive himself for it.
“Danny’s gone?” he repeats, feeling numb. There’s static ringing in his ears, his entire world hollowing out.
The guy in front of him looks grim, unable to meet Duke’s eyes. Did he introduce himself? Duke can’t remember, can’t keep his spiraling thoughts straight in his head. “He’s gone. His entire family is gone and we haven’t been able to call for help because… well…”
“It’s those guys, right? The ones in white?”
“You know about them?”
“Danny told me. Danny told me a lot about what he did in Amity Park.”
The guy lets out a slow, relieved breath. “Good, then I don’t have to explain. Sorry, it’s just that it’s not something we talk about, especially out in the open. After the last few months, things got really bad. We know the GIW took the Fentons, but we can’t find out how or why and they’ve got us on a tight lockdown.”
“Then how did you get out?” Duke asks. Another arguably more important question pops into his mind a second later. “Actually, how do you know about Danny and… you know. The other things.”
The grimness on the guy’s expression fades away some beneath the sudden shame and embarrassment. “Oh, that. Well, I dunno how much he told you about his, like, daily life, but, um. I’m Dash. Baxter. I bullied him?”
Dash.
Dash. That’s a name he recognizes.
Danny’s complained about Dash a lot in the past. Since they were in middle school, really. Duke would always get mad on Danny’s behalf about how terribly he’s being treated, how no one would stop such obvious bullying. And every time, Danny would laugh it off and say in that soft voice of his, It’s alright, Duke, really. Having you care is more than enough for me.
It never stopped the bullying, though, but the way Danny talked about Dash changed when they both entered high school. He was still annoyed about everything Dash did, but there were less insults about him, less venting about every little thing that pissed Danny off about him, as if he just didn’t care anymore.
And there is, of course, the most memorable time Danny called Duke about Dash over the summer.
Hey, Danny, Duke had began, only to be cut off by Danny yelling, I kissed Dash?! Or he kissed me?! What am I supposed to do now!
And Duke, despite the jealousy he felt at hearing that Danny and Dash kissed, laughed so hard he cried while Danny yelled at him to be helpful.
There wasn’t any discussion on Dash since, beyond a comment here and there about a funny fanboying thing Dash had said about Phantom. The focus of their conversations shifted towards how hard it was to be heroes or vigilantes, quiet reassurances that they’re both doing the best they can, tips traded about best ways to patch themselves up and get through the night. Sometimes, it felt like Danny was the only person in the world to really know Duke; all his pain and promises, his dreams, everything he was Before and who he became in the After.
He’s missed Danny, but the last message Danny sent him told him that things were getting rough in Amity Park, and to not call or contact him until he reached out first.
So Duke trusted in Danny and focused his attention in Gotham, putting his all into becoming a better hero, someone people can rely on.
He thinks that maybe he should have fallen into the Bats’ bad habits of invading privacy to make sure Danny’s okay.
Too late for that now, though.
“I know you,” Duke says after a long moment. “He talked about you sometimes. Come with me, we have a lot to discuss.”
Dash looks appropriately nervous, but he doesn’t argue.
It’s a tense, quiet walk to the library where Barbara works. She’s stationed at the front desk when he arrives and greets him with a smile, eyes flicking towards Dash in question.
“Hey, Babs, got a private study room open?”
Her gaze sharpens and Duke can’t help the feeling of relief that flows through him, knowing that Oracle is ready to look out for him. “Let me check,” she says, turning towards the computer to click around a few pages. “Study room 8 is open.”
That’s the study room with a working lock and soundproofing. It also has cameras and a mic inside, but all the other study rooms have one too, just for safety purposes. Things could always go terribly wrong when people are locked together in a small room, and having video and audio evidence of what happened has assisted in more than a few cases.
He leads them up to the second floor, past the students studying and the group of young children in the back corner of the library listening intently to a read aloud.
The only occupied study rooms are those up front, closer to the stairs. The back rooms are empty and quiet, the perfect place for a little impromptu interrogation.
“So,” Duke says as he closes the door to study room 8 behind them. Dash sits down as if this is just a casual conversation, but the way his foot taps against the floor betrays his nerves. “Danny’s gone. And somehow, that lead you to me.”
Dash glance around, then leans closer to drop his voice into a harsh whisper. “The Guys In White got some insane upgrades a few months ago and forced every citizen of Amity Park into a surveillance state. The entire Fenton family is gone, but we all know it’s really because they want Danny.”
“Explain the situation in Amity Park some more.”
“Well. It’s like this: we didn’t take them seriously, so they upped their moves and got us trapped. No one goes in or out of Amity Park without good, verifiable reason. We have a curfew and we can be randomly stopped and searched for ectoplasm or exposure to ghosts. Most of the ghosts have left, but a few of the stronger ones hang around to cause trouble to get the GIW off our backs for a bit.”
“So how did you end up in Gotham?”
“I was invited to tour the college. And since outsiders were expecting me, the GIW let me go. But there’s definitely some that tailed me to Gotham, but I can’t find them at all. Even talking to you now is a huge risk for me.”
Which means they don’t have much time to talk before someone comes looking for Dash. His words, paired with everything Duke’s heard from Danny, paint a deeply unpleasant picture in his mind. “Are you going to be in trouble?”
“Nah, I’ll be fine. It’s Danny we’re all worried about. He told me before he got caught that if anything happened to him, I should find you. Tucker helped us narrow down where exactly you are and sent you that text to get you to where we met.”
“What do you think I can do?”
“I don’t know,” Dash admits. “But Danny trusts you, and he needs your help.”
Duke was never going to say no to this request to begin with, but damn if those words don’t make him want to run to Amity Park without waiting for anyone else.
“Okay,” he says. “Okay. I’ll help rescue him and bring down the GIW. You should go now, before they get too suspicious.”
“What are you planning?”
“I got a couple of friends who are good at destroying government property. Trust me, you’ll see what we’re up, we’re pretty noticeable if we’re pissed off enough.”
“Don’t take too long then,” Dash says, standing up, “I expect a good show from you. See you around, man.”
And with that, Dash pats Duke’s shoulder and leaves the study room. Duke doesn’t follow after him.  He’s got a rescue to start planning, and the less time he wastes, the better.
In the end, it’s pretty simple. It’s not a hard mission at all when the time comes for them to act, but the amount of data they gather and have to shift through is daunting. But that’s more Tim and Barbara’s forte, so he trusts them to handle it.
Together with Red Robin, Spoiler, and Black Bat, they hit Amity Park hard and fast.
One night was spent learning the lay of the land and every station and lab set up by the GIW. The second night was spent burning it all down and tossing open cages full of green blob ghosts and a few transparent, weakly glowing human ghosts. Stronger ghosts, glowing brightly, joined them in a few places with battle cries and maniacal laughter.
They split up and took down all the bases and patrol stations on their own, sweeping through the city like vengeful shadows.
By dawn, the GIW were in shambles, without any bases or equipment, and rounded up for arrest.
Cass was the one to find Danny and his family; his parents were forced to create weapons for the GIW under threat of Danny and Jazz’s torture. Danny was locked up like an animal and studied. Jazz had restraints on, including a muzzle, and a bloodthirsty rage in her eyes. Apparently, she had put up the most fight and, while being studied for repeated exposure to ectoplasm and radiation, started biting people.
The Fentons are big names in this conflict. Tim makes the executive decision to burn one of his out-of-state safehouses so they can hide and recover in peace, then promptly moves them into it as soon as the EMTs give them the all clear. They’re gone by the time the sun is rising over the horizon, and the curious Amity Parkers that have gathered behind the blockade of police cars have to be reassured that the Fentons have been taken away for their protection, not for further abuses. Even then, tensions are high and the locals are clearly prepared to start rioting now that they have a chance to fight back.
As vigilantes, they’re not meant to interact with cops much. Perhaps it’s simply their experiences in Gotham that keep them at a distance, disappearing into the neighborhood the moment attention shifts off of them. Either way, Duke is hurrying out of Amity Park with the rest of the team on his heels, eager to return to Gotham and follow up on their own leads to make sure the GIW is properly gutted and dismantled.
Duke heads off for the Hatch as soon as they reach Gotham, hoping to shed the suit and finally be able to call Danny. The guilt of not noticing how bad things had gotten rolls through his stomach, and more than that, he’s missed hearing Danny’s voice.
The first few calls go straight to voicemail. Duke leaves a quick message asking Danny to let him know how he’s doing as soon as he can talk.
Then he goes for a shower and to change into civilian clothes, prepared to make his way to Wayne Manor to let Bruce know how everything went. And hopefully distract him from his Disappointed Father/Leader Lecture about taking on missions behind his back, as if Duke can’t handle himself. And also because Bruce has no leg to stand on when it comes to this. He’s fully prepared to throw that entire lecture back into his face at a moment’s notice.
The post-mission exhaustion is hitting him hard and fast. Duke has to brace himself against the wall once he’s out of the shower, resisting the urge to just lie on the floor and sleep there until he starts feeling more human.
Somehow, he gets himself into some sweatpants and a plain shirt, pulls on a pair of mismatched socks, and begins gathering his things so he can get to the Batcave.
He’s in no state to be driving. Maybe someone would be willing to take him there?
Just as he reaches for his phone to thumb through his contacts and see who he can bother, it buzzes in his hand. Duke blames the way he jumps on his exhaustion, then blinks his tired eyes to squint at the name that pops up onto the screen.
Danny.
All at once, his exhaustion fades away. A rush of adrenaline runs through him as he scrambles to accept the call, already pacing around the room so he doesn’t fall asleep.
“Hello?”
There’s a moment of silence, then the exhale of a breath that turns to static over the call. “Duke,” Danny’s tired voice says. “Duke…”
“You doing okay? I couldn’t get to you before you and your family had to leave and go into hiding, but I’ve been worried about you, man.”
“I’m good. We’re all fine, now. Fentons are strong, you know? We’ll bounce back in no time.”
From what he’s heard about Danny’s family, that’s most definitely true. He’s seen the pictures of walls Jack Fenton has burst through with his body. It’ still hard to believe that no one in the family is a meta, outside of Danny.
“You need anything? I can get it to you, just say the word. Anything at all.”
Danny hums, then asks with a playful note in his voice, “Anything?”
“Anything.”
“I need you. How fast can you come meet me? I’ll even pay for express delivery.”
Duke laughs, so relieved at hearing the lightness return to Danny’s voice that he feels weak in the knees. “It’ll be at least two days. I gotta sleep and debrief with Batman before I can see you. It’s gonna take some time to get out of Gotham again.”
“Maybe I can go to you, instead,” Danny suggests. “Fly over and be there is less than an hour.”
“Are you in any shape to be flying right now?”
“I’m fine! Already healing and everything,” Danny insists.
“It might be dangerous if any rogue GIW agents go after you.”
“Well,” Danny says, “That’s why I need to get to my knight in shining armor sooner rather than later, right?”
Duke bites his lip to fight back a smile, blinking his eyes forcefully to keep them from closing under the heavy weight of exhaustion. “Does that make you a damsel in distress?”
“I mean, I did need rescuing, so I guess? I’m not much of a damsel, but I could put on a pretty dress for you. It’ll be like playing pretend when we were kids.”
“Oh, man, I kinda miss those poofy dresses. I think I could still rock on, put it on top of the armor when I go out for patrol.”
Danny snickers. “Signal: the most well dressed vigilante in Gotham.”
“That’s me, baby!”
The last of the agonizing fear that’s choked him since he first talked to Dash finally melts away. Danny’s fine now. Everything’s okay; the GIW are done for and there’s plenty of people willing to look out for the Fentons. This will never happen again.
“Hey,” Danny says, voice suddenly turing more serious. “Send me your location. I wasn’t joking when I said I could fly over to you. And before you say anything! I do need it; Jazz and my parents are smothering me and I just need to get away from everything and pretend all of this never happened.”
The admission softens Duke, makes him shove away everything that tells him this is a bad idea, that Danny needs more rest first, that having Danny fly over alone and without warning any of the Bats fills Duke with anxiety.
He does miss Danny. More than he can put into words.
“Yeah, okay,” he says at last. “Come meet me, Danny.”
He texts Danny the location of the Hatch before common sense tells him to be more careful with his base of operations. Not that it matters, anyways; if there’s anyone in the world he trusts with everything, it’s Danny.
Then he sends the Bats a quick text saying he’s crashing in the Hatch and to not bother him until the sun is fully up two days from now. Oracle gives him a thumbs up emoji, which is a good guarantee that she will personally see to it that no non-emergency messages interrupt his rest and recovery time.
Duke has no idea how long it will take Danny to get to the Hatch, so he putters around, cleaning up the space and straightening it out in an attempt to keep busy enough that he doesn’t crash. Travel really takes it out of him. It’s one of the cons of being born and raised in Gotham: he doesn’t have the stamina to travel outside of it, especially when they were there and back in less than three days.
Thank god for Tim’s many motorcycles and his tendency to see the speed limit as a weak suggestion that can be ignored while on a mission.
Ultimately, the call of sleep is too strong to resist.
One moment, Duke is sorting through files on the Hatch’s computer, and the next moment, he’s face down on a bed with his face shoved into a pillow.
Blearly, he manages to pull his phone out of his pocket and send Danny a typo-ridden text that hopefully gets across the message of might be asleep so just come in, don’t wait for me to answer the door.
He’s out like a light as soon as it sends. The last thing Duke registers is his phone dropping out of his hand and falling against the mattress with a little bounce.
When he begins to wake up, something’s changed. As much as he wants to go back to sleep, awareness comes back to him slowly and Duke forces himself to claw his way out of unconsciousness to figure out what, exactly, is bothering him so much. Until he figures out what’s changed in the room, he won’t be able to sleep because he’ll be worried about someone breaking in.
His mind comes back online long before his body does. It’s only when he tries to move that Duke realizes he’s no longer alone on the bed; there’s someone wrapped up in his arms, body temperature a little too cool to be a normal human.
Blinking open his eyes, Duke looks down at the head of messy black hair and feels Danny’s soft breath ghost across his chest.
“Danny?” he manages to say, voice rough with sleep.
Danny hums and doesn’t move.
“Hey, look up. Let me see if you’re really alright.”
“Mmm, no,” Danny mumbles, burrowing his face into Duke’s chest some more. “‘m sleepy.”
A good argument. Duke is also sleepy.
“Fine,” he says, “Check in the morning, then. G’night, Danny.”
“Night, Duke. Thanks for saving me.”
He tightens his grip on Danny, contentment burning warm in his chest. “Always, Danny. I’ll always save you.”
That’s why he’s a hero, after all. To save others, to reach a hand out to everyone the way he needed when he was younger. To keep the people he loves safe. To make sure Danny always finds a way back to him.
This is what makes all the pain of this lifestyle worth it.
Danny makes everything worth it.

Your Dead AU gives me brain rot. I dunno if this was asked yet or not, but I wanted to know your thoughts on Ash’s other rivals finding out about his status as deceased. Hypothetical what-it’s if you don’t honestly see them finding out for one reason or another in canon to the AU, but I’m curious as to your thoughts on how they’d find out.
I guess I should better specify Barry, Paul, Trip, and Alain, how they’d react to Ash’s being dead?
OKAY!;
Barry doesn't believe it at all. Even when given hard definitive truth, he's under the assumption that all of this? All this deadness? It's just a cruel prank that needs to be fined for!
Paul... I imagine Paul is the one to outright calling him pathetic for dying so soon. It's both malicious in intent and not.
He wants to call Ash Pathetic, he wants to make him hurt and make him feel inferior. He wants to revel that Ash will never succeed with the methods he's going by.
But Paul isnt a cruel person by nature. The moment he says it, he's filled wih so much dread and disgust. He just called a dead person pathetic for... For DYING, nothing on his actions or movements. He's just pathetic for dying.
He avoids Ash for awhile after that. Even when Ash instigates. It's just that much level of disgust with himself. Eventually he does apologize. I can see it being at the league. When he walks up to Ash after loosing their battle and apologizes without any eyes or ears around. He's not good at it.
"That really hurt me." Ash grimaces. "Ive never been called Pathetic for Dying..."
"Im sorry you felt that way." Paul tries. "I didnt mean to say it the way i did."
Its a lot of awkward dancing before Ash realizes Paul is really Socially inept and has to clarify. It's a shitty apology for a Shitty action, but Paul is absolutely trying and Ash cannot fault him for that.
Trip. See my bias shows here because I absolutely believe Trip is 100% an asshole Racist.
But would Trip insult Ash's dead status? I think so. I think he'd sprinkle it in with all his other racists remarks. Never outright outing him, but also never letting him forget that Trip KNOWS.
And fuck if that doesnt wear Ash down. And When Iris and Cilan find out, they back Ash up without a thought but it doesnt erase how much Trip taunts how Ash died. Doesnt erase that Trip continuously makes snide remarks about it.
I think this is the one and only time Ash truly uses his own abilities and powers to make Trip HURT.
And it doesnt even give him any satisfaction! Cause Trip had successfully made him feel disgusted by his own dead status. Something mind you, he had been over for fucking YEARS, by that point!
So yeah I think Trip is the worst one and my bias will not falter.
Alain. I imagine he finds out at the BRINK of Ash getting mind controlled. And he's fucking horrified. He truly does believe that He led Ash to his death and then his partner Pikachu as well.
Just fully goes into Shock after everything calms down.
He killed someone he considered a friend.
He killed them.
And Even through soft reassurances from everyone else, it weighs so heavily on his mind. It takes Ash slapping him for him to come back to a reality where he can actually understand what their saying.
And Then Ash explains it all, how he died, how long its been, and NO Alain did not kill him, but the backstabbing was painful as shit and that would take time for Ash to get over.
Alain both believes it and doesnt, but he's still horrified his friend is fucking DEAD.

For your Q&A Tag, I'd love some Jedi Moon rambles :D
Heya! (From TSP's Q&A tag game)
I'll gladly oblige.
Jedi technically originates from the primary villain of early TSP drafts. In Drafts 1-3 he was an evil sorcerer, though his name changed each time: Warlock LV [the 55th], Quincy Warlock, and Quincey Moon respectively. In each of those, he had a slim motivation to just...I dunno, stop the kids from getting back to the portal by stealing their metal detector?
Anyways, when starting Draft Four, I thought Quincey was a bad name for him so I chose the name Jedi. I'd made a list of names to use and when I found Jedi on a baby name website I thought it'd be fun to name him that. I kept the surname Moon because I thought it sounded cool. I created Carmen alongside him because I thought having a partner in this would be fun.
However, in crafting their motivation, I realized they didn't work as villains anymore. Morally gray scientists, though? That worked. Them not having powers came from the sorcerers in previous drafts not having powers of their own and having to learn magic through other means, though that's obviously changed.
I also thought it was super unfair that villains didn't have powers. Like, what the hell are those undertones?? So I thought making them "good guys" was the best course of action.
Carmen's backstory wasn't actually that detailed at the time, but Jedi's WAS. I crafted out his entire life story basically, and soon thought making him have his own chapters to explain his actions would be helpful. I gave him a lot more attention than Carmen at the time.
Originally, I didn't have his mother kill his father, they just escaped one night. I also, for some reason, had this take place two years later, when his sister was also discovered to be Inutilia, but I decided to make it more immediate in Draft Five.
Speaking of his sister, Ms. Moon the teacher was originally Mrs. Moon, his wife, as she was in Draft Three. It didn't fit so I made her his sister instead.
At some point, I considered making Jedi/Carmen a thing but after thinking about it I decided no absolutely not I don't like that. Now neither of their sexualities align with that, thank God.
Pinning down Jedi's motivation was always super hard. It made more sense when I got his backstory together, but that's a lot of spoilers. Basically, he's just trying to make a difference, make the world a better place. His dad also used to have superstrength, but I found it cliche and changed it to something more powerful.
I always have fun writing Jedi. He keeps to himself and he's always super vague and confusing. He has a distinct voice and is awkward about everything. Full of regret but does nothing to fix things. He's only here because of how much he cares. Though I make fun of him a lot for being a pushover, I do find him super interesting.
Planning out his chapters is so hard, though, especially in Part Two. There's so much traveling and I have to make each entry interesting plus do some world building, which I find difficult. But once I plan out his chapters, I'm always proud of the result. It's so fun and thrilling to write from his perspective. The challenging bit is making him clearly Jedi but also ten years old.
Jedi, as a character, got mixed reception. My sister loves him because he's soft-spoken, my friend @cadotoast (hi) had a thing for him (sorry), and another friend hated this man's guts. It was quite funny, actually. That third friend softened to him, but it was still funny.
I didn't decide to make his full name Jedidiah until Draft Five and had Moon be his mother's maiden name. It was the opposite before, but I thought switching it was more interesting.
Making him a pseudo father figure to Noelle was decided while initially drafting Part Two, but in Draft Five I added it in Part One so it didn't come out of nowhere. I thought it'd be interesting due to her daddy issues that I unpacked more in Part Two. Moving it back made it stronger, in my opinion.
Jedi often plays punching bag. Making his life miserable and shitty is part of the fun of his character, especially since only part of it is his fault and most of it is not. A lot of my notes for him are to give him more issues, the poor man.
In Draft Five, I made sure to emphasize his love for science, especially the powers. He's super intelligent but most importantly he's passionate, and despite being depressed and unfulfilled, I love those moments where he lights up because he's made a fun discovery or he has to think a little bit. Or when he just wants to hang out with Carmen.
And man, I love him and Carmen as a duo. Solidifying them as best friends, and marking the young ages they were when they met, is just glorious. I've written early drafts of that meeting, and I like seeing it blossom into a friendship. I can't wait to get back to it because of how much they mean to each other. And their completely different demeanors is always so fun to write. Sure, they're doing unethical stuff, but that doesn't mean they're not fun and interesting to play around with. My notes on these two and their stories are so rambly and detailed because dammit I can't stop thinking about these two.
I hope this was a fun enough ramble and that it answered any lingering questions lol

So... Episode 65 was released on Fast Pass today.
Spoilers for Episode 65-67 and some parts of the webnovel
Intriguing how one or two readers were able to correctly guess that Dodolea had assaulted Theo. I had to bumble around Naver, earn cookies one pair at a time and be rewarded by having my heart ripped out of my chest when I read what happened to him.
(”Watak, the signs were so obvious, how could you not tell?” I dunno man, I thought this was going to be supernatural magic and curses, not actual literal sexual assault). The screaming and gnashing of teeth in the next chapter is going to be wild.
How far Dodolea went is left vague-ish on purpose, I expect, though the drugging is in itself already enough to condemn her. I don’t know what sort of explanation (not endorsement) will be given for her actions considering that when Theo bolted out of there, her expression is LITERALLY “o.o”
What the fuck is going on with her? Is she going to be, as the webnovel proceeded to explain, possessed by some witch that’s obsessed with a past reincarnation of Theo? Is this witch so ancient that sexual assault is not in her vocabulary? Is the real Dodolea already dead? Is this going to take some other less supernatural turn? seungu what are you planning?? I have so many questions???
Theo’s soft-hearted nature is going to be the death of him. And I’m going to strangle this palace aide - who was only doing his job - but nonetheless. If I were Gloria/Phineas/Saoirse and found out about this conversation, I would chuck him into a sewer and leave him there for a day.
“Think about what she had to go through in society after you refused to marry her”??
Listen here, you absurd little 7:3 hair ratio man.
The woman is a princess of the blood, significantly above his station as grand duke. The only reputation she’s gained is the misfortune to be besotted by this man who’s married, and perhaps an embarrassing way of showing it. The worst thing the nobles could have said was “well, that was very gauche of the princess, what an unfortunate choice, she has no taste in men, why does she keep trying” Clearly, she still can move about in polite society without censure coz she keeps fucking showing up to mess with Perry, make vaguely threatening remarks and just generally be creepy. Like, all of that has been on her. A princess of Castor, with such a powerful family, cannot possibly be taken down so easily in social circles.
His reputation, on the other hand, despite all the admiration from the average citizen, is way worse than hers, and always has been. He’s the one whose first wife moved out after two months, claiming he was the worst husband AND he’s a supposed war fiend, bloodthirsty and vicious. I get that gossip can be fatal but Dodolea is not about to be further humiliated by him walking out. He’s already built up a reputation for being cold and rude and giving people the cut direct so why should this be any different?
Tumblr media
Yes, yes, princess of Castor bla bla bla - but what’s your point??
But NO, he had to think of her despite himself, despite the emperor’s shitty behaviour and what she did to him. The LOOK on his face when the servant asked him not to sUbJeCt hEr To MoRe HuMiLiAtIoN (I still find this the most efficient orthographic way to convey sarcasm; my apologies if you find this offputting).
He sat there, subjecting himself to a panic attack and PTSD because he, at the heart of everything, actually seems to care about people. Even the reason he took the drugged drink from Dodolea’s servant in the past was because that man told him how much he admired the grand duke, and seemed to sincerely want his approval. So Theo took the drink to be polite. And suffered for it.
No wonder Daniel’s smoking by episode 66. I’d pick up a cigarillo/cigar too if I had to work under these conditions.
At least Episode 67 has Theo on... some kind of mend. And we get to see Phineas yell at him for being An Absolute Idiot. You can just about tell which panel involves him wondering why he went to all that trouble of going to med school (or its equivalent in this universe) when his own nephew insists on being Stupid.
(In case it’s not clear, I love Phineas with my whole heart and each time he looks like he wants to quit and become a humble radish farmer in the country, my love for him grows three times larger.)
I'll also have to be patient and wait to see what sort of hobby Theo apparently indulges in and is thoroughly embarrassed to be found out about (interior design/architecture wasn’t what I’d expected but y’know what, go off your grace). I don’t think I have it in me to download more random apps to earn free cookies for Naver. Then again, considering the medium lengths I’ve already gone to for this manhwa, who can say really?
Tumblr media
Pictured: the relationship I have with this manhwa apparently

Felix doesn't get enough love! Could do cypress, peony, hydrangea, and/or magnolia for him?👀
Big fan btw dunno if I ever mentioned it
The things you find while looking through your drafts....
Cypress - How does this yandere comfort their upset darling?
Before considering this question as it applies to a darker version of Felix, I am of the opinion that while he is an incredibly caring and loving individual, he isn’t an empathic person. He's not going to necessarily read or understand your emotions the way you might hope. That’s not to say he wouldn’t want to listen to your problems, understand why things bother you, and comfort you when you’re in need, just that he doesn’t naturally connect in that way and it would be really easy to suffer miscommunications as a result. He favors action over emotion, changing what can be directly controlled rather than ruminating on the intangible. If you have a problem, there must be a solution.
This gets very messy very quickly in a toxic relationship where it’s in his best interest to remain blind to your feelings even when confronted with them. I think the most likely reason to be upset in a situation like this would be because you’re in love with an aggressively obsessive man who’s endlessly paranoid about losing you. And Felix is self aware, he knows full well what he’s doing by keeping you in a controlling, domineering relationship. The obvious lie he tells himself is that his actions, destructive as they might be emotionally, are necessary. Prioritizing action over emotion. Your feelings cannot be controlled (you would be just as likely to be unhappy without him than with, right?), but your physical safety and well being can be managed. By him. Only him. So, if you were to express that you’re upset with your relationship or his behavior, it would be treated very coldly and negatively—possibly combatively. The worst case scenario for how he would “comfort” you is a full on fight where he meticulously points out why he’s right to be so possessive, that you can’t survive without him, and how weak and childish you seem. For what it’s worth, I do think this would always be followed by a period of genuine remorse where he tries to make you forget everything and prove his love and adoration. Notably, Felix would never out and out try to justify himself to you. His excuses are all his own, he knows that they’re paper thin, but he also doesn’t feel like he should have to explain them to you. He will apologize when he goes too far, but not for the underlying reason you’re actually upset.
More often, he’ll probably try and find another cause for your unhappiness, something that can be fixed or at least something more manageable. If necessary, he’ll try his best to fix your problems materially. You know, the type to beat a man half to death because he made you cry and then caress your face with bloodied hands, telling you that he took care of it (nevermind what “it” is). Despite everything, Felix is still a caring and loving person. He doesn’t have you entrapped in a disastrously unhealthy relationship for nothing. He does listen and as long as you’re not upset about anything sensitive, he definitely cares and is willing to hear you out, hold you while you cry, and do things to distract you. Felix trying to comfort you would be cute on the side of clueless, especially when it comes to gifts. "I'm sorry you're unhappy, here is a new sword." As much as he can, Felix wants a normal, healthy, loving relationship.
Peony - How shameless is this yandere? Do they care about their public image and or private image, and how does that affect how they treat their darling?
Felix knows that there's, generally, a way he should act as Duke Fraldarius and he follows that. Public displays of affection would be very uncomfortable for him anyway. Physically, I can't see Felix doing anything more scandalous than putting a hand on your back or holding your hand/arm. Verbally, there's definitely less impropriety. He is a snarky bastard. If somebody is flirting with you (although, let's be honest, flirting can mean somebody even looking at you the wrong way) he'll loudly point it out even if it means embarrassing you. If he feels you're wandering too much, he'll demand you come stand by him, or order you around like a child. Or a dog. It's not about humiliating you or even for his own pleasure, from his standpoint it's necessary. There are few people more vulnerable than the loved ones of important political figures, if you're not acting with proper care, he'll exert his control over you to ensure your safety. It's all perfectly reasonable and has nothing to do with jealousy. If it happens to make him feel a little flash of satisfaction at how easily you obey him, that's incidental.
Hydrangea - How would this yandere react if their darling gave them affection? What is their internal thought process like?
It begins with Felix freaking out at the unfamiliar discomfort of being vulnerable to somebody. Stiff, uneasy, uncertain of himself. It wouldn’t really take long for him to get hooked on affection. Hugs, hand holding, and cheek kisses—the holy trinity of weakness for an emotionally and physically repressed tsundere with trauma relating to neglect. Obviously Felix tries to play it cool, acting like it doesn’t melt him whenever you bury your face in his chest or entwine your fingers with his, but internally he’s trying to commit every detail of it to memory just in case. He grumbles when you throw yourself at him for a hug, but he’ll squeeze you so tight you can’t breathe. Sure he won’t look you in the eye when he tells you how much you mean to him, but when you say it back, the love he feels for you is overwhelming, even suffocating. That’s why he’s doing all of this in the first place. Unlike many other yanderes, there is no artifice to Felix’s interactions with affection, even as the relationship degrades into something very twisted. He never uses it or interprets it as anything less or more than it is. He doesn’t even use it against you in arguments, or hold it over your head when you say that you’re unhappy. Your affection is sacred to him.
Magnolia - Would there ever be any time that the yandere would reflect on their actions and wonder if they should stop/change their ways? Or do they always believe themselves to be in the right?
Felix constantly reflects on his behavior, but he buries that pretty deep. Since his main justification for keeping you as a glorified prisoner is your safety, and that you could not possibly be safe in any other circumstance, it would be pretty hypocritical for him to let you go. It’s not that he thinks he’s right, although he does for the most part, it’s that Felix is an absolutist for the ends justifying the means when it comes to your safety. It’s not like his perspective is without merit. Even if you were to leave him, you already have a target painted on your back and could be used by any of his political enemies. You are, genuinely, in too deep to just leave him. Worse, if you died because of that, it would be his fault. But then, all of that justification is meaningless compared to the very fundamental driving force of his actions: Felix can not and will not consider a world without you in it. He’s a traumatized, vulnerable man who has lived for so long simply trying to be recognized as his own person and when you say his name, he feels seen. When he lays his head on your chest and hears your heart beating, feels the warmth of your skin, listens to the sound of your voice, he feels a profound sense of purpose that’s utterly unlike his loyalty to the crown or dedication to becoming stronger. No matter how terrible things can be, his need for that feeling, for you, is too devastating to reconsider the path he’s taken.

Okay one thing I wanted to touch upon yesterday was how I'm noticing that a lot of pokemon villains do what they do out of love. And when I say love I mean love towards something. I dunno if that explains it well but here me out:
Volo is the most recent case, he loves Hisui and wants to end it's suffering, leading him to do what he did.
Rose loves Galar ( also it's clear that Oleana loves Rose. Romantically? Platonically? Who cares, she loves him)
Lusamine, at least in usum, cared for Alola to try and protect it
Guzma freaking loves his crew and will protect them.
Lysandre loved Kalos and the world and thus was disgusted when it became "filthy"
Maxie and Archie, despite their differences, loved Hoenn and wanted to see it grow into what they thought was fit ( Archie wanted pokemon of the sea to have a better place to live, and vice versa with Maxie and humans)
N clearly loves pokemon and everything he has done was for them.
Hell, the team rocket executives in hgss/gsc loved their boss so much to try and get him back.
The only villains that don't really share this love are Ghetsis , Giovanni and Colress imo. Okay. Well. I think Giovanni does care for his grunts, but it's not what's motivating him, I mean.
Edit: So I've been given some points about Colress and Giovanni! Colress loves his science, which drives him to do a lot of questionable things. The reason why I didn't include him at first was because unlike the others science is....science. I really don't know how to explain it, but the love I had in mind was more... personal? Emotional? Though, again, when you really think about it, science is what drives Colress, so I guess I'll give it to him here.
I will fully admit that I don't see Giovanni's love for anything that influences what he does, with the exception of money and power. That being said, Giovanni in the games has shown to care for Silver in his goodbye, promising to come back when he can revive the team rocket. That ...never happened, but the thought at the moment was clear. Again, I really don't think Giovanni's love for his son was what caused him to build a team rocket. He wants to show his son the fruits from his endeavors, sure, but Silver being the motivation seems far fetched in my opinion ( also this is referring to Giovanni). This applies to Mewtwo ( I've always seen the two having more of a mutual agreement than a powerful friendship, though a bond is a bond). What motivates Giovanni that isn't money or power? It's not Silver ( I think) , so is it his team? Maybe! I don't know much about Giovanni, so please know all of this is pretty biased.
Edit #2: IMPORTANT I FORGOT CYRUS. Cyrus is very complicated. Cause compared to Volo, who effectively tried to do the same thing, Cyrus seems more inherently selfish with a destain for humanity, while Volo's seems more just and out of love. In a very very simplified way of saying it, Cyrus is a man who wants to be alone. Him wanting to erase the world of emotion is very much for himself and no one else. However, there's that conversation in Platinum that begins to put a crack in this. Cynthia rightfully says that Cyrus could just fuck off to who knows where and be alone. Cyrus refutes this, saying he can't leave the world in such a state with spirit and emotion. Let's be real here. Cyrus could have very well just isolated himself. But he didn't! Why? Because of humanity. I think this is him showing that he cares, even if it's very twisted and comes from a place of supposed hatred( or Cyrus would just say he feels nothing. Boy, if you really felt nothing, why are you doing this? Dork)
I also didn't mention SM Lusamine! Mainly because I don't have the game anymore ( I lost my cartridge:( ), so I was only going off the memory of her just. Being an asshole to her kids and being obsessed with the UB. Which is still present in USUM, but I didn't consider why she was obsessed with the UB. Mohn. Lusamine loves Mohn so much that it drives her insane. She latched onto the Ultra Beasts, the thing that was last is connected to her husband. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but this goal of finding her husband eventually got lost as she became more and more obsessed with the ultra beast. I could be wrong on that, but that's how I remember it. But I still think it counts because Lusamine's whole thing is "love" so to speak. A mother's love, love for your family, finding people that will "love" you, etc.
The only person who doesn't have any type of love is Ghetsis. He only cares about himself really, but that's not the theme I was going for here so. Yeah.

I want to ask about Luis and Tape Girl (Kelly).
Yes, they are both security guards, it seems to be clear how they met. But still, I'm interested to know about their first steps of rapprochement.
Oooh, you see, these two knew each other even before working together.
After the Fnaf VR events, Kelly Cawthon, wanting to protect subsequent beta-testers from the influence of Glitchtrap, turned to the company where the unfortunate game was outsourced and found out the names and contact information of people on this position. After contacting Vanessa and learning that a mysterious yellow rabbit decided to visit her and that Afton had already collected all of her tapes, she insists on a personal contact, during which she will explain more. This kind of scares Vanessa, but curiosity makes her give the weird girl a chance.
Kelly saw her quite often after that, studying her condition and trying to find a way to eradicate the parasite (which Vanessa didn’t really complain about) before something bad happens to her too. Once she accompanied her to the place of a new job and, after having already separated, she suddenly felt sick.
Tumblr media
Glitch creature made an attempt to make a Tape girl his new host in the past, but the attempt was unsuccessful due to the fact that Cawthon turned off all devices faster than the process was completed. But it still caused a certain harm to consciousness, which manifested itself in sudden states of disorientation with concomitant dizziness and an unreasonable feeling of nausea, which bothered her in the next few months after that possession attempt. It so happened that one of them took place right on the street, and it so happened that Cabrera, who was heading in the same direction as Afton, saw her and noticed that something was wrong with this passerby. He clumsily tried to help her, bought her a water, and when she convinced him that everything was alright with her now, he fastly left, leaving behind the phone that he took out when considered that it might be worth calling an ambulance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kelly, using his phone, contacts his acquaintances and, well, the guy himself, setting up a meeting at which she will return the forgotten thing to Luis. There, she gets to know him in more detail and, feeling really embarrassed about the incident, insists that she should either return the money to him or buy something as well. He is embarrassed to take anything from her, she is uncomfortable that he does not take anything, and, in the end, Cabrera makes a concession. His new acquaintance buys him something to drink too (maybe his beloved coffee, dunno) and they manage to bright up a conversation when he finds out that she is Scott Cawthon’s daughter, and that she shares the same interest in IT and programming stuff as him (by “him” I mean Luis). The rest is history. I think they chatted online more after this, though had a couple of times when they went for a walk together somewhere and talked face to face.
They seemed to become nice pals. But then “Special Delivery” events happened.

We've done a once-over of the crime scene. Let's talk about the body discovery.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So the crime happened overnight.
Tumblr media
That will be the titular Dog, then. It wasn't referring to Yakou.
Tumblr media
Oh my god, the animation on that dog is nightmarish! Completely different art style from everything else in Kanai Ward. @.@
Sugar did it. Sugar is our culprit. Only a monster would look like that.
Tumblr media
Are you the killer? She might not like you because she knew you had vile intentions. Have you considered that?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then in theory, it should be your perspective that we see Postcognition through. Did you break the fish tanks? Because if they were already broken then....
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Did nobody stop to ask how a man drowned in a broken, empty fish tank? Am I really the only person to find that suspicious?
Well, I guess Tetra finds that suspicious too. That's why she turned to us.
Tumblr media
Regardless of their financial value, killing them wouldn't make sense from a financial perspective. I guess if Pops caught someone trying to steal the fish and replace them with cheaper ones, maybe?
The fish all ended up dead on the floor. Wouldn't make much sense to smash the tanks if the killer wanted to steal them. I guess they could have stolen the fish, replaced them with cheaper fish, then broken the tanks to disguise the theft?
I dunno, this feels like I'm barking up the wrong true. It's way too over-complicated.
Tumblr media
See, Yakou thinks it's possible. It's worth keeping in mind but I'm not putting all of my eggs in that basket.
Someone wanting to kill the fish out of spite because Pops loved them oh so much could also make sense as a motive for Tetra. It'd explain the assault on the tanks. But the fact that she went out of her way to hire us so we could investigate a case the Peacekeepers consider closed? Yeah, that makes for a strong alibi.
Right now, my chief explanation for the destruction of the tanks was to explain away all the water on the floor.
What's getting me is the sound. You'd think going through and bashing in tank after tank after tank would be a time-consuming and incredibly loud process. Did Tetra and Jeryn really not hear anything?
Hm. If the tanks were destroyed before the murder, then maybe the sound could have been used to bait Pops?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eight hours passed between the murder and the time of first discovery. That's a large allotment of time for things to have happened.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eleven hours overall elapsed between when he was last seen and when his body was discovered.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
May we speak to the servant? "Whereabouts unknown but probably not here" isn't an alibi.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both Jeryn and Tetra can provide alibis for one another between 8 and midnight. The murder didn't take place until 10. In theory, that clears Jeryn of suspicion. But we're standing in a room that was half-filled with water for unclear reasons, with serious causal questions surrounding the markings on the vent, the sticky marks on the door, and the shattered fish tanks. This is not a normal mystery.
If Pops was killed via some sort of mechanism, the killer wouldn't necessarily need to be present in the room for it to take place.
So. Tetra and Jeryn have alibis. Servant has no alibi as of yet. But an alibi does not necessarily preclude one from guilt.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Did anyone hear the repeating sound of breaking glass at any point? Come on, Yakou, ask the important question.
Tumblr media
There it is. Thank you.
Tumblr media
Is it possible that this room is soundproofed?
What was Sugar doing while the crime was taking place?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So he smashed all the tanks, then electrocuted himself, then drowned in the empty, broken tank. Do I have that all correct?
Hm. Seems legit. Don't see any flaws in that logic.

*serious sasuke pose* I. am at. my. limit. i can't stop daydreaming.
danny becoming a monster. not the one he swore to never become, but the kind he had always been running away from.
he becomes part of the giw. and. is close to destroying all of the infinite realms once and for all.
jack and maddie, who finally sees and accepts the truth, but too late, is saved by jazz and pushed into another dimension.
in order to survive, jack finds himself being hired to play an Uncle Eddie for a young boy. he agrees and finds out that the child is too smart for his own good.
the three figure out how to make their new fake identities as legitimate as possible. and since the child is so smart, they just decided to tell him what they were planning to do.
and because the child, tim, is just. so sweet, he helps them.
bruce is getting worried because tim seems to be becoming a bit... like a supervillain? a mad scientist? he updates the contingency files.
i dunno what to add in the middle, but the amount of blood to be spilled when Tim becomes a replacement (of course he isn't but he'll be called it) of not only Jason, but ALSO DANNY has me cackling with morbid glee.
jack and maddie just wants their son back. they manage to filter out the lazarus pit from jason, but when danny appears, there's not a single ectoplasm to battle against. danny was going against them fully human, never turning into a ghost, just to show them exactly how monstrous a human can be than their pre-conceived notions about ghosts.
he threatens to make their new son into a ghost, to rip him apart molecule by molecule for simply being a ghost, and tells them exactly how he's going to break his core.
just. it's all over the place, but basically i want redeemed jack and maddie and villain danny. tim is just there to be tortured bcuz i love him and this is the consequence of it >:3c
Oh how we love to torture the blorbos. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you're the author's favorite, you're gonna pay for it! I am curious why Danny would have joined the GIW and the Fenton parents wouldn't, because often times the only reason why the Fentons change their mind about ghosts is because of Danny's halfa status.
Danny's motivations in here are interesting. It doesn't make sense in a logical standpoint. However, there are plenty of villains whose entire philosophy don't really make sense to begin with. This does remind me of Owlman from DC, who was so intent on destroying the multiverse because he just hated everything and everyone??? (I can't remember how it was explained, because he made this whole speech that was total BS so I wasn't inclined to pay attention.) Maybe Danny is this kind of villain too, just- DP style I guess. XD
There are plenty of ways to write a villain Danny, I think most people just tend to use Dan for that, understandably so. A lot of us love Danny as a hero or a good person, so it's kinda like- why make Danny a bad guy when Dan is right there. Maybe this would be a human Danny's Dan-origin. Who knows!
It is interesting how Tim is still considered a replacement in this too, albeit in a different way. This boy really cannot escape the allegations. LOL
While this AU might not be for me, go nuts with it! Keep gnawing on it like that beloved chew toy. Rotate it in your mind like a rotisserie chicken. It will simmer and cook and maybe one day you can write it too. ;3

Unicorn Warriors Eternal ep 7
Sooooo... whomever theorizied early on that Edred ranaway/was engaged and left for Melinda well you (whomever you are I can’t remember the profile8B) you got that right on the dot.
Thoughts on the ep... I suppose again considering her background explains why Edred was always important to her. We may not know everything on their romance but its clear in that scene there’s strong feelings there
Uh... bit surprised the elves went/or stayed into war that long. I can get being upset about the crystal... but didn’t it occur to any of them just to seek him out? Couldn’t they see that, Edred had to help stop the evil? (or was that first death/or whatever like “Oh we can’t do it”).
Also a bit surprised it naturally requires the first born son. oO I’m still wondering why the brother couldn’t just offer himself to begin with. Also... since he’s sorta taking his brother’s identity does that mean Aelwulf is gonna marry that guy’s daughter? (Edred’s original intended)...
Also... why is Edred’s the only one with his original body? Is it because he’s actual magic? (You know supernatural being, in all)... Do Melinda and Seng have bodies in sleep as well?
Soooo Merlin’s back into the mix. Sooo since Copernicus needed that crystal to be fixed...what was the point of the unicorn? I’ll be honest I thought the Unicorn was what powered him. I mean I guess it would explain how Melinda/Edred met, I guess? Merlin went to a future? or something and Unicorn(s) told him to use that crystal for a power up? Maybe I dunno, I’m tired o3o.
In addition to the identities being switched... whats that mean for Edred? I feel like its suppose to mean more. I would say he’ll die.. but technically aren’t other two already dead?o3o
Uhhh... anything else. Again do love that storywise, Emma’s proving Edred wrong. Whether Melinda wants to listen, she is helping her. I like how she stood up for her against Merlin in regards to how she was treated/felt. Thoughhh you can tell there’s been difference in families. Emma (obviously from a loving home) is “you can hug her oO?”. Merlin’s genuinely awkward , again whether its the seriousness or just their family. Merlin doesn’t seem to be the affectionate parent.
And Melinda/Edred wise, I do love how she got all blushy at getting a certain memory back. And it was cute how Edred got hopeful when he thought Melinda was concerned for him.
Deer scene was cute (I mean up until the other elves killed the poor thing), whether thats Emma/or both it was interesting to see a vulnerable side to Melinda.
Then the evil... anyone shock by that revelation? Me, nope. Felt it was too early and Merlin pretty much stated what we all thought. They should have went back to sleep. Sooo gonna assume the fox lady/kitsune was either distraction or again she wasn’t “the evil” just a mere agent.

purple guys hc spiral
oof this got really long really fast, sorry lmao
"purple guys" is the platonic ship name now bc I said so /lhj
alternatively you could have "fourth cousins thrice removed" or "all is hell in the afton family"
no one knows when or how these two became friends at all. like it's kind of known that they met a couple years back at the same function but no one knows how they actually managed to get along enough to be considered pals
the hahaha funni "we are not related" jokes spiral into "this is my fourth cousin psychic the psychic, don't follow his twitter follow my twitter" "thanks cousin"
it gets to the point where they actually do kind of see each other as their weird cousin that they pull stupid shenanigans with (read: arson)
"hey bestie (derogatory)" to "hey bestie (affectionate)" pipeline fr
^half-joking, DD is canonically Psychic's forever bestie and Void will always come second to that.
if he had to choose between them, Psychic would pick Dearest in a heartbeat. Void is aware of this and is only mildly bitter about it.
Void is no more close with Psychic than he is with Radi or the Space Gang. they don't really have any emotional investment in each other's lives.
however. they do understand each other in a way that no one else does.
the others have noticed how separated Void and Psi's friendship is from everyone else's. they don't really know what to make of that.
Psychic is the first one outside of BF and GF to figure out that Void is a black hole.
he doesn't bring it up by himself for a long time. Void doesn't want to either, so it takes a long time before either of them address it.
but when they finally do, it becomes very clear that Psychic is not going to tell anyone. he's not going to see Void any differently. not that he thought much of the guy before but this isn't something that's going to affect that.
Void is glad but doesn't like. appreciate it the way one would. he's just as whiny, just as self-absorbed as before.
but this is the point where he and Psychic come to understand each other a little better.
Psychic doesn't actively try to hide his interests, but he never bothers to bring them up either so Void actually has no idea what he does outside of read and also kill people probably
Void has no clue what working for the Dearests entails and he doesn't care enough to ask
meanwhile Psi knows practically everything there is to know about Void. not that Void has much going for him beneath the surface /hj
Psychic mainly sticks around because he finds Void's character interesting, not out of any genuine care for his not-cousin
Void hangs with Psi mostly because Psychic is smart and funny, and in case he ever provides anything Void could use against the Dearests. gotta weed out that competition ykyk 💅 ✨
if Void was Sans in Underverse season 1, Psychic would be Frisk.
^i dunno how to explain this one lol just go watch underverse s1 and look at their dynamic
^added on to this they might actually have swapped roles by the time s2 comes around
over time, I like to think they do come to genuinely like each other a bit more. over time though lol, none of that tenpiye nonsense here /lh
Psychic is dangerously loyal to the people he cares about. we see this primarily with the Dearests. not with Void.
Void shows loyalty to no one. he'd drop any of his friends if he felt he had to, even the ones he enjoys the presence of slightly more.
(with the exception of Jet. nothing could force Void to abandon Jet.)
but maybe if you gave these two time and also enough character development... 👀
Psychic is gaslight. both of them are gatekeep. Void is girlboss.

Hello :)
It seems Tumblr doesn't allow to reply to ask in private anymore? (or I couldn't find how lol) So here I am to reply to your ask :)
Glad you found the chapter hot even if I see something puzzled you. Sorry you felt disappointed…
Alright, so for me Nicolo is finally feeling free, really free. They did a lot of stuff before reaching this point so I don’t consider him a virgin anymore, lol, and so the point was to show how freeing it was for him. He’s feeling so good, he’s so happy, that he just lets go and goads Yusuf into letting go too.
As for the not knotting/bonding. Well, we have dealt with Nicolo’s problems… but not Yusuf’s lol. Yusuf still believes Nicolo loves him but not as much as Yusuf does (and Nicolo believes the same, in a way, which doesn’t help lol even if the both of them are totally wrong of course).
I hope that clears it up a bit? I might try to incorporate that into the next chapter to make it clearer :)
I didnt think it was disappointing. Just a little unexpected. With all the “drama” N himself described about relinquishing control, I guess I just expected him to be more, I dunno…all gooey and boneless?? 😂😂
Thank you for explaining N’s feeling about being free. It shed some light on his behavior.
I understand they already did sexy stuff before, but in my head, this was supposed to be something else. This is not just them exploring their bodies’ needs but them finally becoming one. The culmination of everything they worked and hoped for.
Ooooooh! That didnt cross my mind! So you will still explore Yusuf’s issue? That explained his reluctance to go all the way. Thanks a lot for taking the time to reply and explain it 🙏🏻🙏🏻

ok SO…………… imagine a world where howard and andy met while howard and carolyn were still together.
we have to think about the stage of howard's life that he was in at this time: he does NOT know that he's aro OR ace, so, uh, this changes a lot already because beforehand, he had already split up with carolyn, and had realised he was aroace, prior to meeting andy, which is why he ends up helping andy to realise his identity also. this doesn't necessarily need to change cuz howard can still realise hes aroace, break up with carolyn, and thru discussions and coming to terms with it himself, this would still help andy to come to the same conclusion about himself. i do think it's harder for andy to figure it out for himself considering he's not been in a relationship as such, ever, so it's one of those, “maybe i haven't found the right person” or “maybe i just need to experience it to understand” things…
anyway let us consider the DYNAMICS here because…. much to consider here… it does resemble a sort of love triangle, if we're gonna be typical and romantic, but i feel this situation is neither of those things, so, lol. this is a dude in a relationship with a friend he's never been attracted to out of a feeling of obligation, realising he's a whole other orientation, ending it, and simultaneously building a friendship with someone else, and over a course of months to years coming to realise the kind of relationship that would work for him that happens to be with this guy. not like, sorry carolyn, i met someone else. lol. it would have ended regardless.
so anyway… probably howard DOES tell carolyn like, oh i trained up someone new today, he's called andrew, he seems nice but terrified. carolyn probably jokes about howard being the one to scare him, on account of his :| vibes, and howard admits he wasn't thrilled to have to train someone and it may have come across at first but he decided he likes this guy and hopes he didnt make him feel bad……… 🥺
so two things are happening here: howard and andy are building a friendship, goofing around, laughing about carrot pants; and howard and carolyn are. i dunno. not doing that. i think they've been getting on fine but everything kind of immediately changed when they went from friends to “dating” and he felt pressure to be a certain kind of person to her now, what is a boyfriend, what do boyfriends do, am i being affectionate enough, etc. which he kind of blamed on Society or something at first before he realised most people WANT to do those things and aren't secretly lamenting them. and, gasp, that's why they form romantic relationships.
AND. okay this feels bad. but when i was with tom i never mentioned him to people. my family obviously knew and i did sometimes talk about him, but not much, and mostly for functional purposes lol. i remember i was working at pearson the year i met louie when me and tom broke up, and i remember telling tom about louie, but i couldnt bring myself to say the word “boyfriend” out loud so i never mentioned tom to louie LOL uhh……. i can see howard just never really bringing up that he has a girlfriend until they break up. tbh. and probably he's acting spaced out at work after it happens, and andy's like, hey what's up. and howard is like umm. it's hard to explain.
and he's probably like. idk if they talk about it AT work, maybe andy asks howard at lunch or, when they're just standing around at some point lol. somewhere a little more private ya know, in the back. i know how supermarkets work……… and howard's like ok so…… i was kind of… in a relationship… i know it's probably weird that i didnt mention it before now, but it's because, umm. okay, this is gonna sound crazy, (it's fine, says andy) but, ok, we were friends in school, right, and i don't really know why that changed, because i don't think i ever actually saw her as anything else, but, i mean it was her that… expressed an interest… and i guess i just went along with it ‘cause that's how it goes, or so i thought, and it's a bit stupid really ‘cause we were actually really good friends until then. and like, i don't know if we will be again. now. ‘cause, fair enough, she didn’t take it very well.
andy: what did you tell her…?
howard: dunno, i just fuckin’, uh, had a mental breakdown or something and she kind of got the picture. (he’s kind of laughing at himself in a bemused way lol) … and then she asked me if i was gay. and i'm like, i don't fuckin’ know. i don't think i'm anything.
andy: that seems a weird thing to ask.
howard: well, okay. don't think anything of this, but, i don't make friends very often, so the fact i've brought you up a handful of times in conversation is apparently a good reason to think i've been secretly gay this whole time. which if i am, then it's a secret to me an’ all.
andy: wait, did i come up in your break-up conversation with your girlfriend?
howard: look, it's her that brought it up. (he kinda shrugs and holds his hands up here)
andy: no, it's fine, just… (i think andy is trying not to laugh here. very serious conversation.) it feels a bit like i'm part of a love triangle or something.
howard: yeah, ya homewrecker. it's all your fault.
andy: i will not be held responsible for this!
howard: nah. it would've ended anyway.
andy: you're still making it sound like i had anything to do with this.
howard laughs at this. an exasperated little chuckle. i was going to say he runs a hand through his hair but this is, in fact, buzzcut era howard we're talking about. probably he just rubs his fuzzy head a bit lol.
howard: no, i know.
andy: are you doing okay, though?
howard: yeah… it's all good. thanks. sorry to bring you into it.
andy: don't be! i asked.
howard: yeah, but, just the stuff carolyn said about you.
andy: well that was her, not you. but i'd rather know about it than not.
howard: okay. fair.
i guess it trails off after this. but more conversations will be had i am sure. andy would check in with howard the next time they see each other. at some point there would be a conversation about howard's guilt over not being what carolyn wanted, and he felt “like a right dickhead” for pulling the whole it's not you it's me, thing, but it literally IS him and not her, it's what HE lacks. and andy says something about how howard doesnt owe anyone feelings he simply does not have and it's kind of absurd to think otherwise.
as for how howard and carolyn's relationship is faring at this point — probably they've occasionally messaged each other and intended to stay friends. after the initial upset i think she does say she just had to process it and it's not his fault he feels like he does, but she doesn't understand why he ever thought it was a good idea to start going out if he never felt that way about her. he's been unpacking this himself before this conversation. he says he just liked her, and cared about her, and he thought that's what that was, and had nothing else to compare it to. he says, he doesn't want her to think he didn't care about her just because it wasn't in the right way. he's probably getting a little bit upset, a little bit agitated at this point. at the way he is. at how it just could never have worked, and it's his fault.
i actually don't know at what point the words aromantic or asexual first come up. i've had it that howard was the first one to adopt these labels, although he's less of a googler than andy, but it makes sense because stan's his brother and he's up to date on all the lingo and his friend rees is aroace don't you know. and howard does talk to stan about things. perhaps in more detail than with andy at this point since they hadn't really known each other for that long yet.
i think i still like it how it was; howard figures it out, tells andy at some point, bla bla bla, time passes. thoughts are percolating in andy's brain. months go by, he's started university, he's feeling how different he is to everyone (it's the autism, baby! get ready!), there's that thing about that guy who tries to flirt with him and he tells him he's already taken cuz he doesn't want to straight up reject the guy, and maybe a little bit for clout (he thinks, okay, well i have no friends here but at least they will know that i have someone outside of this place!)... and howard does come over a few times, and he is assumed to be the boyfriend, and i dont know yet how andy ends up explaining this one, but i think howard has a grand old time pretending to be andy's boyfriend lol.
perhaps……… in classic sitcom fashion…… this leads to howard playing the part, putting an arm around andy, messing up his hair, giving him a widdle kiss on his widdle head 👉👈 and this is how they kind of get used to these casual touches. and maybe, just maybe, andy is SO touch-starved, and howard is kind of lamenting how these kinds of interactions seem to be exclusive content reserved only for those in romantic relationships. and maybe they talk about it a little bit. maybe they shyly admit to each other how they think it feels kinda nice. and maybe andy clarifies he's never felt any romantic feelings for anyone either, he is pretty sure, just in case howard was worried about that. and maybe the fake-dating scenario is actually the catalyst for all of Howdy. imagine that. wwooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaauuuuhkghg dying noises
also not sure how carolyn sits within all of this. i'm sure her and howard are talking a lot less, but still talking. probably they meet up now and again, as before. it seems okay, but howard probably actually finds it really hard to bring up andy, because! now i see the drama. if she realises howard and andy end up in some kind of a committed relationship, regardless of whether it's romantic or platonic or whatever the hell, i feel she may lose her mind lol. she’d probably be retrospectively filling in the blanks of what led to her and howard's ultimate demise, even though as i said, it really did not have anything to do with andy and would’ve always happened. but she would blame it on andy and think howard a liar. i imagine it could turn into a bit of a fight. she's calling him a liar and saying she felt bad for him and all this time it WAS because he met someone else. and howard is riled by this and asks WHY she felt bad for him, is it because he can't feel romantic love? does that make him worthless? is that the only thing that makes a person worth anything?
(insert moses sumney “doomed” lyrics because im still insane about that song: if lovelessness is godlessness, will you cast me to the wayside? well i feel the peeling of half-painted ceilings reveal the covering of a blank sky)
(in fact another moses sumney lyric, from “don't bother calling”, which kind of encapsulates howard's guilt around not being enough for carolyn: i don't know what we are, but all i know is i can't go away with you with half a heart)
(i need a separate document just for moses sumney lyrics. but like. howard before he finds his little situation with andy mood, from “me in 20 years”: i'm left wondering if it's written on my urn that i'd burn alone like a star
(btw this is not howard's kind of music but i think andy would like it and i think it would absolutely murder him lyrically, and then he would show it to howard and it would murder howard as well. lol. anyway literally not relevant right now.)
umm… so maybe this is the bitter end of howard's friendship with carolyn, probably not, but at least it can never be how it was again. there is the potential for carolyn to learn and understand, but i don't know if this happens while they are friends. as i say, once howard unpacks some trauma, i think that carolyn not Getting It is not the biggest issue anymore. i think seeing her after this point would literally send him into some kind of a panic attack honestly.
we know that at some point howard and andy decide to explore some intimate acts LOL i’m such a prude just say sex. but not really tho. they don't get very far. anyway i don't know if this is the trigger for the delayed-onset ptsd or no. i mean, probably? which means that howard and carolyn could have been friends still for several years until he simply has to cut ties with her. but perhaps it's been tapering off anyway. he's probably been feeling kind of weird about it for a long time and probably somewhere deep in the bowels of his mind he has known that he’s only been continuing their friendship to compensate for how he couldn't be the thing that she wanted, and he thinks he at least owes it to her to be a good friend. he's just like me fr.
and then… and then… i think that’s enough for now

I Don’t Get This Shit | Shinjuku | Trial 4.2 | RE: Esmee, Bian, Avery, Germain, Manami, Nao
….god, once again. No fucking thoughts in his head. Hearing people jump back and forth with information, Shin begins to zone slightly, before snapping back into focus. Pay attention, just try to pick up on everything, even if you don’t have a damn clue.
Seeing Esmee get slightly discouraged and down, Shin flashed a look her way and nodded. “....hey, I got your back. I’m thinking similarly. I just don’t know too much about bombs and stuff.”
Though, as Avery raises the first of two questions, Shin pauses for a moment. His eyes widen, almost like…… huh, that….. Did not dawn on him. At all. He blinks a few times, before glancing at his hands. “.......I don’t know why it didn’t? I mean, my restriction didn’t trigger, and I just… acted on instinct. So I…. don’t know? It just worked.” … “....sorry if you were expecting a better answer.”
Tumblr media
“As for your second question, I can re-explain things. The first two, the very intense ones, were at the same time. It makes sense that was when Frank and Luz were caught in the explosion, since the pang just felt… doubled. Simultaneous. If that made sense. Then, it was about… I don’t know minutes, like a moment or so later, the third. It wasn’t as intense, of course, but it was a little after the doubled one.”
“At first, I thought it came from the Luz hitting the tree she was leaning up against, due to the matching scratches on her back with the tree. However, that can’t be it, considering how the bloody tree by Luz and Frank has scratches that matches with ones on Frank’s chest. So them impacting the trees wasn’t the third pang.”
“Now, with Theophania’s knowledge about her phoenix flowers- thanks, by the way, I wouldn’t have known- since it could possibly break…. Maybe something with the explosion clearing up broke it…? I dunno, shrapnel or something, because I dunno what else could break it unless someone else was caught in there.”
Manami’s point does cause Shin to pause for a moment. “Wait, that…. Gives me a small idea.”
Bian’s theory causes Shin to shake his head as well, backing up Germain. “I don’t think Luz broke it either. Maybe because… well, I don’t think she had the strength left to. She faced a good deal of the explosion, due to how severe everything was and how singed her clothing was. On top of hitting the tree… I don’t think she had the strength to.”
There, Shin pauses, before blinking in thought. “....you think Frank knew Luz was there from the get-go? Because… dunno, dragging himself there while being healed by Theophania, maybe he was trying to get himself over to Luz to try to give the healing to her…?” Another pause, shuffling slightly. “......I know Frank was trying to make up for a lot he’s done, and maybe, showing that Luz deserved the healing more than him…. Much like Manami suggested, he broke it to try to show Theophania that Luz was there, that she needed the healing more… and after Meili’s death, he wouldn’t want the same thing to happen to him again. I get the guilt of being a survivor, but…. I dunno…. I just know that Luz wouldn’t do that to Frank, and Frank would wanna help her. At least, I think so.”
A small sigh. “....then something- or someone- broke the flower, and before Theophania could try again, she passed out, and the flower took her….. Right? But also….”
His expression grows slightly darker. “The explosion happened at 10 pm, they both died about 10 minutes later. What happened in those 10 minutes, that’s… a lot of time, right…?”
Tumblr media
“Not to mention, it was clear someone was trying to break the barrier. The books scattered around in the lounge and the library, all the missing supplies in the crafting room, someone wanted to get out. Build a bomb, break it, and get out…. Nao’s ideas hold a lot of merit too. The problem is, if they knew how bad the damage would be, why would they have tried with people around the area…?”
“.....unless, there was a group of people trying.” Frank had buffs, Theophania had healing, Luz had the ranged accuracy. However, Shin shoots this option dead instantly. “....but that doesn’t work. Theophania didn’t say she saw Luz, right? Plus, she was the one with the slingshot, unless she somehow hit the bomb. That too I’m unsure about. And I know….. Luz wouldn’t want to chance things that affected her survival, I think. Frank wouldn’t want to get people hurt…..”
“......so, not only what happened in the 10 minutes, but also, what happened leading up to the bomb going off? Who planned this?”
