The weirdest thing about going to college for teaching in the united states is the giant CANYON of disconnect between what we're taught and what we actually do in a classroom.
like we're taught how to diversify methods of instruction in order to most equitably reach the diverse populations of our classrooms and inspire them to do their best writing/reading/speaking (im an English teaching major) but then in reality the students in your classroom are insanely below the level they need to be at in order to engage with age-appropriate lessons for them
we're taught how to take common core standards and transform them into meaningful and deep lessons but we're only given 45-90 mins of planning per day (if we're lucky) and the rest needs to be done outside of school or after hours if you can't do it quickly enough, and teachers are always expected to do research outside of the classroom, as well as collaboration, tweaking of lesson plans, etc.
we're told that students crave learning and they crave fun projects and they crave kinesthetic exercises, but then when I try those things in the classroom everyone complains and halfasses their participation, and im lucky if half of them actually pass something in, whether its an assignment, a test, a project, or an assessment.
we're told that we need to have open communication not only between teachers but between teachers and admin and parents, but then im lucky if one of the ten parents I email about their kid failing emails me back, and im luckier if admin takes a behaviorally disturbed student out of my class for insulting me or other students.
like... i guess my point is that teaching education is so idyllic and utopian, and actual classrooms are a goddamn nightmare of behavioral issues, lack of time/resources, exhausting interactions with students who don't want to be there or participate, and insane expectations from students, parents, and admin alike.
Like... no wonder the teaching field is hemorrhaging teachers right now. How can ANYONE work under the insane conditions we're forced to try and teach in. I'm so tired and I'm not even out of school yet. It's actually psychotic.

vent incoming:
got my grades back for my courses last semester and most of it was to be expected, mostly A's, maybe an A-, etc. but i honestly can't get over the fact that my independent study (the buddy cole documentary) was for some reason given a B. like sure getting a B isn't bad per se, I usually get at least one B every semester and i honestly don't really care about what my exact gpa is as long as i can graduate, but come on. this school put me through months of psychological torment over this project and didn't even have the nerve to give me a B+??? i'm still coping with the self-doubt they forced on me and this bullshit is not helping!!
#honestly it's kind of hilarious ngl. especially bc i also got my documentary work counted as an independent study the previous semester#and the previous semester even tho i barely worked on the doc itself#(mostly just planning and putting together the crowdfunding which was still a lot of work but like compare it to the past few months)#they were willing to give me an A (my school doesn't do A+ so this is the highest mark possible)#vs this semester. like i'll admit my final assignment was late and could have been more polished#but i was literally on tour in documentary-mode 24/7 for several weeks. i filmed an entire comedy special! i put together a live interview!#not to mention having to fucking negotiate with my own college censoring the footage they'd promised me of an event i put together#and play nice with a professor who literally outed me on twitter in an attempt to cancel one of my best friends#at this point the ''B'' feels more like a petty grudge than anything else#like ok we can't get away with *actually* fucking over jessamine's grades bc clearly ze did do the work. but let's just give zir a B#like i will admit the audio quality in my final isn't great. and i could have used more polished footage in some sections#but counterpoint: 100+ students were arrested at a protest while i was editing and i was having a mental breakdown#the fact that i finished *anything* is goddamn impressive especially after they essentially conditioned me to hate myself any time i was#working on a project i loved!!!#due to the aforementioned student arrests my college did put out an option where we could change any letter grade this semester to pass/fai#so anything passing wouldn't impact our gpa if we didn't want it to. so i could just change the B to a ''pass''#but really what's the point. ''B'' is still a good grade and my GPA is fine (3.65 on a 4.0 grading scale. 2.0 is required to graduate)#it just sucks that after what i went through last semester i feel like nobody takes it seriously#i was reminiscing earlier about how it's honestly kind of funny how after that professor outed me on twitter#i was at the hotel with scott like an hour later sobbing and having an existential crisis about my relationship to gender#and scott was so supportive but also awkwardly being like#''i know i should offer the crying child a tissue but where the fuck are the tissues in this room what do i do''#and he just handed me a full-on towel instead like oh my god he was trying his best but also so clearly out of his depth#but of course i then had to remember how when i told that story to a different professor to be like ''this is how much scott cares about me#this guy called me fucking UNPROFESSIONAL for crying in front of the subject of my documentary?????????#like yeah maybe so but how DARE you call me unprofessional when a different professor tweeted my full name and gender without my consent#in an attempt to fucking cancel one of my friends for ''misgendering'' me for using pronouns i'm fine with him using!!!#i don't think i'm ever going to be able to forgive my college and i don't know how i'll be able to get through one more semester#that experience genuinely changed things about my psychology that i'm not proud of and i need to work through#so if i have to miss a goddamn kids in the hall event because i have class this november i am going to set something on fire

x
After a year in college, you’re back home for summer break. As much as you loved dorm life with your friends, you miss the farm life back home. Your dad owns a really big farm with lots of animals that he uses to make money off of. He sells the cow’s milk, the chicken’s eggs, and the sheep’s wool while still upholding the value of the property. He has a section of land for vegetables that he grows but he mostly keeps that for himself.
You’re staying with him for the entire summer which is the best time to be on the farm. In the winter, the snow ruins almost everything about it so the summer is the perfect time to get a lot of shit done.
Once you get your luggage from baggage claim, you make your way over to the pickup section of the airport, waiting for your ride. When you see your dad’s beaten old pickup truck, you make your way over to him. Instead of him getting out, your older brother does with a crooked smile.
“Y/N!”
“Mason!”
You drop your luggage and run into his arms for a big hug. You haven’t seen him in years since he went off to college on the other side of the country. At least you stayed a bit closer to your home. He graduated not long ago and decided to move back home to help out with the family.
“How’s college life treating you?”
“It’s only the first year. I got a dorm next year with the friends I made this year so that’s good.”
“Awesome. Man, you won’t believe what’s been happening in this town,” he chuckles.
He grabs your luggage and heaves it into the trunk. You both get in the car and off you go back home.
“Alright, spill it. What did I miss?”
“Dad is doing more volunteer work, your old high school teacher, Ms. Bromwell got arrested for fooling around with her senior students, we got a new mayor, and Mom has the hots for the new Pastor.”
“Of course, she does,” you laugh. Ever since she got divorced from Dad, she’s been moving around town in not the best way. Still, you love her to pieces. “Glad to be home.”
“Oh, and Misha is back in town.”
Your entire body goes still at the mention of his name.
“How is he doing?”
“He’s alright, I guess,” Mason shrugs.
Misha is your dad’s best friend who grew up only a few doors down from you. He was always present at every birthday party, every time you snuck out of the house, when you first got your license, when you got ready for Prom, and when you graduated high school. When you got to that age when you started caring how you look for boys’ attention, you were really getting dolled up for him. You have had a major crush on him for years now but you were too young to do something about it.
He is nineteen years older than you but you don’t care. You’re fresh in college, you’re not a little girl anymore, and you know what you want. You want Misha and you’re going to make it your goal to get him this summer, even if it only lasts a couple of months. He might see you as a child and as his best friend’s daughter but you’re going to change that soon enough.
Mason reaches the house in record time and helps bring in your bags.
“Dad! We’re home,” he announces.
“Y/N!” your dad greets you and brings you in for a hug. “Welcome home, sweetheart.”
“Glad to be home, Dad,” you smile.
“You remember Misha, right?”
You turn to face him and your mouth actually goes dry. Damn, he looks good. Seeing him is sending tingles up and down your body that you shouldn’t have for your dad’s best friend. He smiles and that almost makes you melt right there.
“Y/N, it’s been a long time.”
He brings you in for a hug and all your senses are filled with him. His cologne is making your head dizzy and you can feel his muscles underneath his clothes.
“Yeah, it has,” you chuckle.
“Do you need help unpacking?”
“No, I got it,” you quickly say and pull away from him. “Thank you, though.”
You grab your bag and immediately head upstairs before you make a fool out of yourself. He watches you walk up the stairs with a controlled look on his face. There is no way he is going to give away what he’s thinking.
The day you came in was a day for relaxing, but the next morning is when your contribution begins. You wake up right as the sun is peeking over the horizon and get dressed in short coveralls and a sports bra. You tie your hair into a messy bun and grab a woven basket before heading out to the chicken coops.
Most of the hens have laid eggs that you collect without issue. There are a few with attitudes but you know how to handle them. It doesn’t matter how long you spend away from home, the work is engraved in your head. You bend down to collect some more eggs when you hear someone shuffle against the wood chips behind you, and you gasp while turning around.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you,” Misha chuckles.
“What are you doing up?”
“Same as you.”
“You wanted to get the eggs from the chickens, too?”
“Okay,” Misha chuckles, “maybe not the same reason.” You smile at him and move on to the hens on the other side of the coop. “So, how is college going?”
“So far so good. I got a dorm with my friends next year so that’s good. Classes are great.”
“Meet anyone over there?”
“You mean like a boyfriend?” you ask.
“Yeah,” he nods.
Is he fishing for information? What if you say yes? Are you going to make him jealous? This is a good opportunity to mess with him but you resist. It’s too early in your relationship to make such bold decisions. For now, you keep it safe.
“No. I’m not into men my age. I like them older,” you flirt subtly.
“I see,” he nods.
“So, tell me something, you’re well off with money. Why are you still in this town? The people stay here because they can’t go anywhere else.”
“Your dad is well off but he stays.”
“He’s been in this town for decades. He can’t leave,” you chuckle.
“Same here. I grew up here.” You raise an eyebrow and he laughs. “I don’t know. I feel like there is something here for me still. Maybe someone.”
“Is that your way of telling me you’re single?”
“Maybe.”
“I see,” you copy his response.
You finish grabbing all the eggs and bring them inside with Misha. It’s time for breakfast now because your dad and Mason are going to be up soon. There are dozens of eggs so what better way than to make some omelettes with some of the fresh vegetables from the farm?
One of your favorite apps these days is Tik Tok which your best friend introduced you to. It has all sorts of videos that can keep you entertained for hours, and some of your favorite videos to watch are prank videos. One of the ones going around is where someone is cooking eggs and decides to crack one on someone’s head instead of doing it on the counter or the side of a pan.
You look at Misha who is washing his hands with a smirk. You grab twelve eggs to cook with and set the rest of them off to the side. You take one of the eggs and swiftly crack the egg on Misha’s forehead. He flinches from shock and you hold in your giggle as you pour the egg into the pan.
You grab another egg to do it again but Misha is quick on his feet. He moves out of the way and wipes the egg whites that you left on his skin. He reaches out to touch you but you squeal and move out of the way.
“This isn’t how this works!” you laugh.
Misha grabs your waist and pulls you into him, and he teases you by hovering his slimy hands above your face. You squirm to get away from him but end up moving your body closer to him. You turn to face him and lock eyes. He looks down briefly before something changes in his body language and in his eyes. He clears his throat and steps away from you to put some distance between you two.
“I should get going.”
“Why? Breakfast hasn’t even started yet.”
“I got stuff to do.”
“Stuff?”
Just then, your dad comes jogging down the stairs because you know he smelled the eggs cooking.
“Hey, what are you doing here?” your dad asks and grabs water from the fridge.
“Helping Y/N out but I’m leaving now.”
Misha washes his hands and leaves without another word. You watch him leave with a frown as you rake your brain to figure out where things took a turn.
A few days later, your dad wanted to have a barbecue for everyone in town at the farm. He has the biggest property in town so it makes sense to turn the farm into something the entire town can enjoy. Almost everyone from town is in your backyard, and your dad sets up games for the kids to play, a small bar with a keg of beer for the adults, and lots of good food. The one job he gave you was to keep the keg stocked with beer but the one he has must have the nozzle broken because it’s not dispensing beer correctly.
Misha shows up expecting to have a good time when he spots you bent over the keg wearing short shorts and an almost see-through tank top. He clenches his jaw in frustration and storms over to you. You’re too busy to see him heading your way, and you yank the nozzle the wrong way because beer sprays all over your shirt.
“Shit,” you gasp and jump back.
Beer flows out of the nozzle so you quickly turn it off before any more goes to waste. You grab the ends of your shirt to take it off when Misha grabs your elbow.
“What the hell?”
“What? I got beer on myself.”
“Taking off your shirt with children around is inappropriate.”
“It’s not like I’ll be showing my boobs to everyone. I have a sports bra underneath this.”
“Here.” He sheds off his jacket and gives it to you to wear. “Go inside and change.”
“Yes, sir,” you say sarcastically and walk away from him.
Misha resists the urge to grab you and punish you for your bratty attitude. You’re not sure what has gotten into him these last couple of days because he’s been angry with you. You’ve tried flirting with him but nothing has come of it and you’re not one of those girls to just wait around for a guy. If he doesn’t want you, there are plenty of other men who do. There was a young man at the barbecue that you connected with and kept in touch with after the event was over.
Your dad is going to be out of town for a couple of days with your brother which means you have the house to yourself. What better way to spend your time than with the new guy you met? Misha has mixed feelings about you because you’re his best friend’s daughter. You’re unsponkingly off limits. If Jensen knew the kind of thoughts he was having about his daughter, he would kill him for sure.
Maybe if he talks to you, he can understand what he’s feeling and figure out what to do about it. He walks over to your house and uses the key Jensen gave him for emergencies only. He has to check on you anyway per Jensen’s request so he doesn’t think much when he walks inside your house. It’s usually quiet until he hears something that makes all his blood go straight to his cock.
You are moaning upstairs.
The thing that pisses him off is he hears a man moan right after you. He should just leave but he rushes upstairs with the intent of ruining your evening. He doesn’t mean to be an asshole but he’s thinking with his downstairs brain and not his upstairs one. He practically busts down the door to see the guy you met naked on top of you.
“What the fuck!” you gasp and push the man off you.
Misha is too pissed to see that you’re fully naked in front of him.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” The guy you’re with stutters since he’s too scared by Misha’s presence. “Get the hell out of here.”
The guy gathers his clothes and rushes out of the room, and you pull your robe on to give you some sort of decency.
“What the hell are you doing here? Why did you run him off?” you gasp in anger.
“You know, when your dad asked me to check on you while he was away, I’d figure I see you in here drinking, maybe smoking some weed, not fucking some boy you just met.”
“You weren’t supposed to hear that.”
“Yeah, well, I did.”
“You thought it was okay to come here close to the middle of the fucking night? You couldn’t have waited until morning?”
“I’m not going to let my best friend’s daughter get pregnant by some kid she doesn’t know.”
“I have condoms.”
“It’s irresponsible.”
“Why do you even care what goes on in my bedroom? It’s not like you’re in it,” you cross your arms.
If you’re going to do this, may as well go all out. Misha chuckles but it’s not an amused chuckle, it’s a dark chuckle like you better watch what you say next or he’ll punish you.
“You wouldn’t be able to handle me.”
The laugh you give is almost an amused one.
“An old guy like you? The only thing I won’t be able to handle is how short it’ll be. Wouldn’t want to throw out your back, now would we?”
Misha’s smirk is lost as he stalks towards you. You back up but are stopped by the dresser.
“Sweetheart, I’d ruin other men for you.”
“Oh yeah? Prove it.” Misha looks like he wants to but listens to the rational part of his brain. He shakes his head and starts to walk away from you. “That’s what I thought.” You scoff. “I want you to leave because I have a date with my vibrator which has batteries that will last longer than you.”
Misha snaps and turns so quickly that you don’t have time to react. He grabs your waist and tosses you onto the bed causing your robe to open enough to show your breasts. He looks down at your chest and reaches out to touch one of your breasts but resists at the last second.
“Is this what you want?”
“Yes,” you whisper.
“I’m nineteen years older than you.”
“And?”
“You’re my best friend’s daughter.”
“And?” you chuckle.
Misha stares into your eyes to see if you mean what you say. When he doesn’t see a shred of regret he leans down and kisses you. He reaches into your robe and palms your breasts before allowing you to shred the piece of clothing. It’s passionate. It’s sensual. It’s intimate. It’s everything you want and more. He’s so much different than anyone you’ve ever been with. He takes care of you three times before he even thinks about himself; once on his tongue, once on his fingers, and once more on his cock.
It’s hours before you’re done and you pant heavily next to him.
“Yeah, you have ruined other men for me,” you laugh.
“You can’t tell your dad about this. He’d murdered me.”
“Eh, I don’t tell him a lot of things anyway.”
You lean over and kiss him again, ready for a round two.

And So, We Meet Again
Tumblr media
Future Timeline!Rindou x Reader
Contains: fluff, mild angst
Note: this has spoilers for the end of the Tenjiku Arc for any anime only's or anyone who hasn't finished reading it yet
Summary
You and Rindou dated back when you were an exchange student. However, that time was far too short, leaving the two of you broken-hearted for years until you finally meet again.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
"I-I'm sorry R-Rindou *sniff* I have to go back home," you cried into his shirt, staining it with tears as you squeezed him tightly, never wanting to let go. "Please don't forget about me...I promise to see you again one day."
Those were the last words you spoke to him before you left to your home country the following day. It broke your heart having to leave him and your friends behind though, you knew it was inevitable you'd have to return home. Rindou knew too, but it never stopped that aching feeling in either of you.
You had each other's emails to communicate back home. For a while, you received some from him until one day, they stopped...the date Tenjiku fought Toman. You weren't sure what happened to him, and it scared you, though you never gave up hope. You would one day hear from him once more.
You never knew he was arrested and beaten.
You never knew what he was doing while you were away.
You never knew when you'd see him again.....
It wasn't until a few years after graduating high school that you were finally going to step foot in Japan. You applied to study abroad for the spring semester, wanting to see the delicate sakura blossoms dancing in the breeze. And maybe, just maybe, you'd see them with Rindou again like old times. Even after all this time, he still held a place in your heart.
When you arrived at the airport, you were met with the familiar smell of the sea. 'I'm finally back!' You thought excitedly. With a skip in your step, you grabbed your things and took a train towards your campus. Despite the jet lag, you were so excited to settle in and hope to see some old faces.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
A couple days later, you finally were settled into your dorm with the help of your roommate. You laid in bed, staring at the ceiling as you stretched your body. Everything was in its place. You sat up and yawned, "I should go out today. Maybe check out the gym on campus?"
You stood up and got dressed, grabbing your things as you waved at your roommate who's currently at their desk already doing some research.
The breeze was cool despite the warm rays from the sun baking the blacktop through campus. It was comfortable enough for you though. When you arrived at the gym, you noticed that you weren't the only one who had the same idea. And by that, most of the equipment was being used. "Damn it," you muttered under your breath, "maybe I should go off campus?" You took out your phone, searching for the nearest gym. It was a bit far. You'd have to take the train just to get close enough for a comfortable walk. You sighed as you slipped it back in your bag. "Well, guess I'll be getting a pre-workout today."
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
"I'm gonna beat your ass at bench presses today Rindou!"
"Yeah, if you use those plates, bitch!"
It was just any other day of training for Rindou and Kakuchou or competitive training. It was always a competition. Loser had to pay up based on how many kilos used and how many lifts they did. Kakuchou had been on a winning streak lately. Rindou was determined to win today. They both laid on the flat benches and got started.
"Fucking finally!" Rindou cheered, "Alright, pay up Kakuchou."
Kakuchou shook his head with a smile and handed over the small stack of cash, "Alright, alright, you win this round, but I'm going to win the next!" Power lifts, chin ups, you name it. In the end, they ended with a draw.
After they left the showers and changed, Rindou noticed something or someone familiar to him but he couldn't quite place where he'd seen this person before. Then it hit him. His eyes widened to saucers as his jaw hung open, whispering your name. He couldn't believe it. He rubbed his eyes, almost tempted to take his contacts out to clean them, but didn't want to hassle with that now.
You're here, but how? Why?
Rindou's heart rate picked up. He couldn't even hear Kakuchou failing to gain his attention. He was simply entranced by you. Only you. Always you.
Rindou dated a few times after you left, though they never lasted. It's like he lost a part of himself. Ran noticed, too. He'd attempt to cheer his little brother up, taking him to their favorite clubs, buying new albums from his favorite artists, and even taking him to his favorite restaurants and cafés. Kakucho started hanging out with him at the gym more often, competing with one another; anything from bench presses to dead lifts was on the table. Rindou would recover his spirits, though that hole in his heart remained.
When he saw you before him for the first time in years, the world stood still, all except for you. As radiant as ever.
You hadn't noticed him approaching you, too focused on changing your weights for your next routine when your phone fell on the floor. "Shit...," you groaned.
Just as you crouched down to reach it, a hand holding your phone appeared before you. "Oh, thank you...R-Rindou?!" You gasped, jumping up as you wrapped your arms around him, happily grinning. Of all the possible places in Tokyo to reunite, you didn't expect to run into him at the gym near the college. "I didn't expect to see you so soon! Love your jellyfish cut. Looks good on you."
Rindou's face flushed crimson, stunned as his heart pounded in his chest. "Y-yeah, thanks," his voice cracked as he returned the hug. "How long have you been here?"
"Three days. Decided to do a few reps with some dumbells today. The gym on campus was too crowded...so I came here," you paused and let your arms fall to your side, taking a small step back to take in his features. His jaw was sharper, more defined than when you were teens. His muscles were toned more than before. You thought he was handsome before, but now, he's simply striking. If you weren't blushing before, you certainly were now avoiding his sharp gaze as you rubbed your arm. "I-I'm glad to see you again."
Rindou smiled and nodded.
"Hey Rindou—
"Oh, Kakuchou," his eyes widened as he turned to face him. You were in his mind so much, he almost forgot about his friend he came with.
Kakuchou folded his arms, darting his gaze between the two of you as a small grin appeared on his face. "So....are you ready to go or—
"You go ahead. I'll stay a bit longer," Rindou smiled reassuringly, knowing exactly what was going through his friend's mind. Kakuchou nodded and waved, "ok, see ya later then."
"Bye Kaku-chan! It was nice seeing you again," you waved back. He turned towards the door briskly as a blush crept up his neck at the old nickname you gave him. "Y-yeah."
As Kakuchou left, you grasped Rindou's hand. "Wanna join me, Rin?" His cheeks glowed pink, nodding as you lead the way back to the dumbells, choosing the weight you felt comfortable with. Rindou grabbed a couple of fifteen kilos for himself for a lighter workout.
After a few stretches, you were ready to go. You performed a few curls and squats, mixing them up with the weights in sets. Rindou gave you insight to work more muscle groups through your routine. You really noticed the ones you missed after a couple reps, feeling that tense almost jelly-like sensation. He'd always use his sweet voice, the one he only used around you the whole session. It was almost like you'd never been apart.
Almost an hour later, your body was almost too sore to lift anymore. "Hey Rin, I think I'm done for today. Wanna go again later this week?" Honestly, you weren't ready to end the day with him yet. The way he looked at you, it appears he felt the same. "Sure," he takes his phone out of his pocket, "I'll give you my new number then." You nodded, adding his new info and placing it back in your bag with a giddy look on your face. You could talk to him like before.
With your bag over your shoulder, you began to step to the exit with Rindou in tow. You were about to head your separate ways when he spoke, "are you hungry?" He asks softly and starts nervously rubbing the back of his neck, "there's a café nearby if you'd like to go."
How could you refuse? Your eyes sparkled as you grabbed his hand. "Lead the way Rin!" He grinned softly, returning your grasp.
The wind tunneled through the streets here, sending a chill down your spine. Rindou paused his steps, releasing your hand as you gave him a puzzled look. He took off his jacket and draped it over your shoulders. "Better?" You blinked your eyes at him, then giggled, "as charming as ever. Thank you." You wrapped the jacket closer to you, taking in the scent. He smelled just as you remembered, like sandalwood with musky undertones. His hand gently grasped your shoulder, leading you along beside him. Warmth filled your cheeks as you leaned closer.
You entered the café with his hand still on your shoulder. It was warm and cozy inside with the soft lighting and cushioned chairs. One of the servers approached the two of you. "Table for the lovely couple?"
Your face flushed crimson. You were about to speak but Rindou beat you to it. "Yes, is there one available by the window?" Your server nodded, "why yes, follow me."
He didn't say no...
Why didn't he say no?
Wait....did I miss something? No...that's not it...
Rindou, if you want to get back together just say so.
You sat at the table with the perfect view of the sakura tree that was beginning to bud. The natural lighting brought out Rindou's features. You picked up your menu, trying not to look at him, knowing you'll turn into more of a blushing mess than you were earlier. Still, you had to bring that up. "So....Rin, are we...you know...a thing again?" You darted your eyes between him and the menu, trying not to stutter.
Warmth caressed your hand as he laid his onto yours, "if you want to be, then yes, we are." He smiled tenderly at you, making you melt. "I've missed you so much, sweetheart."
You didn't realize the tears already forming in your eyes when he confessed. "I missed you too, Rin. I thought about you every day...I'd love to be with you again!" He slid his hand under yours, lifting it closer to his face and gave you a chaste kiss. "Then I'm yours."
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
The sun was setting by the time you left the café with Rindou, holding hands and leaning into each other like old times. He offered to walk with you to the station, which you happily obliged. It didn't take much for some unanswered questions to appear in your mind.
"Say Rindou, what happened while I was away? Did something happen the day you fought Toman?"
He ran a hand through his hair and sighed, "to start with, I got humiliated being beaten by this crybaby from Toman...then got arrested..."
Your hands slapped over your mouth as you gasped, "Oh my gosh...I'm so sorry Rin..." He grabbed your waist, pulling you against him. "It's in the past now. Sorry I couldn't talk to you for so long..." You shook your head at him as you wrapped your arms around him, "don't be, you've been through so much."
You stood there unmoving for a while, just basking in each other's comfort. "We should get moving or else you'll miss the train." You didn't want to stop, but you knew it was for the best.
When you approached the station, something was off. Police barricaded the entrance with a few cars parked outside, paramedics at the scene, and some guarding the entrance, informing passersby of the situation. A man had apparently entered the station and stabbed two people. Not much else is known but speculations are leading towards the suspect knowing the victims.
"Shit...the next station is a long way from here," you paused to yawn, "and I'm getting sleepy..."
"You can always stay with me and my brother. Our apartment is much closer," he offered. "Oh yes, please! That would be great." Rindou hummed at that, guiding you along once more.
"Oh, one thing I need to mention. Ran will be pissed when he sees you," he sighed with a slight groan. "What?! Is it because I left?" He nodded in response, "I wasn't myself for a long time and he blamed you for it."
"I mean...he has a good reason to be mad at me." You shifted your gaze to the ground, tears glossing over your eyes the more you thought. It never was your intention for Rindou to become depressed with your absence. "I'm so sorry Rin," you cried, squeezing him tightly in your arms, "I'm so sorry...I wish I could've stayed here...then you wouldn't —"
"Shhhh, that's enough. It's alright," he whispered, rubbing circles onto your back and wiping your tears away, "I know I wasn't the only one who felt that way."
You hummed, "yeah...I'm glad he's always been there for you."
"Can't say I enjoyed all his ways to cheer me up..."
You furrowed your brows at him, "and that would be?"
"The bitches he'd always try to hook me up with," he groaned. "Sure, some of them weren't so bad but none lasted more than two weeks...should've just stuck with the clubs."
"He was still trying to be a good brother."
"Yeah...I know. Still, Kakuchou was much better at keeping my mind off you. The competitions and sparring matches were the best...just glad he didn't take me to a yakuza office to fight again...," he shivered at the thought, "never again..."
"Wait...he did did what?!!" Your eyes nearly popped out at how wide they got. "I must've forgot to tell you about that with you leaving soon and all...didn't want to worry you." He rested his head on yours to reassure you. "Mmm, fair point. Still gonna talk to him though."
Rindou paused his steps again as you arrived at the apartment. "Wait here," he whispered, "he should be asleep by now but...just in case." You nodded as he unlocked the door, opening it slowly. All the lights were turned off, save for the light near the bathroom. You heard him sigh in relief. "Ok, be very quiet. If he wakes up, there's no telling what he'll do."
"And what would that be, Rin-Rin?"
You both froze at the voice from behind you. "A-aniki...I—"
Ran breathed a sigh, "I already know. Kakuchou told me everything.
Ran breathed a sigh, "I already know. Kakuchou told me everything." His tired eyes darted to yours. "I swear, if you break his heart again," he leans down to your right ear and whispers, "I'll break you."
A chill ran down your spine. You gulped as your hairs stood on end. "I-I promise I'll be good to him."
"You better."
"Ugh, aniki," Rindou rolled his eyes, "don't scare them. I'll be fine."
Ran tussles Rindou's hair with his signature smirk. "Alright, I won't scare them too much...for now." He steps inside and whips his head back. "You lovebirds coming in or what?"
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Might be a part 2 so stay tuned for more

okay I don’t always share photos of me on here but I graduated!!!! despite everything that happened in college (a year of online school, getting institutionalized for four months, almost getting kicked out of my university, becoming homeless, becoming a wheelchair user in the middle of writing my thesis, getting arrested halfway through my senior finals, etc etc etc) I still did it and I actually cannot fucking believe it. graduated magna cum laude with honors for my thesis, got inducted into two academic honor societies, and won the Dean’s award for commitment to social Justice.
I am so fucking grateful for everyone who helped this happen, especially to my comrades and fellow seniors who disrupted grad events with me.
when I was 18 one of the reasons I got diagnosed with psychosis was because I told the psychiatrist that I had just got accepted to university and he didn’t believe me. he told me I was severely mentally ill (true lmao) that I would never be able to live outside of an institution (less true) and that there was no way someone like me had been accepted to college, so the only explanation was that I was delusional. I wish I still had his contact info so that I could send him my diploma as a fuck you. a large part of why I graduated was BECAUSE of my schizoaffective and how that’s shaped me, the community I’ve found, the topics I chose to study, the way my mind works and builds connections. it feels deeply surreal to have actually graduated university as one of only two wheelchair users at my university and as part of the 1% of college students who have psychosis. most of the people in my family did not have the opportunity to attend college and it still does not feel real to me.
fuck my university and fuck admin for not divesting and fuck the discrimination I’ve experienced here over the years. I finished and I’m so fucking happy that I don’t have to come back!!!

Ok... So I have never written fanfic before, but I got this idea during Zutara month. Being a teacher, I thought it might be fun to put one of my favorite ships into a teaching situation. Maybe this is silly, but I would love some feedback just to see what I should change? Or is it worth pursuing? I'm not sure. Also, what do I call it?
Zuko was excited to be back. He might not be a student anymore, but the White Lotus School had been his home for many years, and it held many fond memories. Ursa had enrolled Zuko a year or so after their father had been arrested, with the help of their beloved Uncle. Azula was enrolled a year later.
His Uncle Iroh had stepped up and helped both him and his sister after his abusive father was taken. His father had incited a riot and was trying to start a revolution to undo integration. The old ways had died nearly a century ago, but his father, grandfather, and great grandfather felt that firebenders and fireblooded families should not be integrated with what they considered “riffraff”. But after he had burned Zuko's face because he had made a new friend that Ozai deemed an “enemy” Ursa had left quickly, and Iroh had taken them in. A few weeks later, Ozai was in jail for inciting violence elsewhere.
Zuko had been nervous about joining the most prodigious integrated bending school in the country. He was worried he would get judged for his scar and that others would find out about his father and assume terrible things about him. Only 12 years old and completely alone out on the coast of the old Earth Kingdom, he was thrilled when he made a friend with a young water nation boy. Sokka had been a breath of fresh air helping him feel at ease, making him laugh, eating practically nonstop, and even though he wasn't a bender, he desired to be a fierce warrior.
This was one of the main reasons he was so excited to come back to teach. This school had really blazed the trail on integration. Not only was every student taught about the culture of their ancestors, but about each other's culture, which helped open more doors to friendship. Even non-benders could come and study many different things. Sokka and Zuko had quickly signed up for sword classes with Master Piandao, though they ended up leaning towards different styles eventually, and of course Sokka had practically fallen all over himself to join the multicultural cooking classes all 6 years at school. He had pressured Zuko into joining him the first few years at least.
As Dean Bumi showed Zuko around to all the different classrooms in the school (though he didn't really need the tour), so many good memories were going through his head. As they passed the culinary room, he remembered all the times he snuck fire flakes or spices into Sokka's food and laughed at his watery eyed reactions. As they passed the training rooms, he remembered many a sparring session with Sokka, then later sparring with other benders of all kinds. The two that came to mind first were Toph, who, during her 3rd year, Zuko's 6th, had absolutely handed him his ass. The other was Katara, whom he had sparred with several times despite her being two years younger. They had been pretty evenly matched. The final tally when he had graduated was Katara 5- Zuko 4.  Toph became a good friend pretty quick, always greeting him with a punch to the shoulder. Katara was a friend from the moment she arrived at school, since she was Sokka's sister, though she tended to hang out with Yue most of the time.
He hadn't seen Toph or Katara or any of their friend group since him and Sokka had graduated from military boot camp, about 6 months after graduating from White Lotus. It may have been 5 years ago, but he could still remember almost everything about that day. He and Sokka hadn't seen anybody else for three months during that time, and it had been nice to see them all there. Azula had been so proud of him and gave him a rare hug. Despite his father always pitting them against each other as kids, and even Zhao (his awful firebending teacher for his first two years and Azula's 1st) doing the same, they had a good relationship. They had probably been lucky that Dean Bumi had walked in unannounced to a class and heard Zhao's abusive language during Zuko's 2nd year. With short notice, Uncle Iroh was asked and graciously accepted the job. Iroh had only planned on teaching that year, but enjoyed it so much that he decided to stay until Azula graduated. Zuko’s bending grew quickly under his uncle's tutelage, and soon, his sister and him were also fairly evenly matched.
Toph got to him and Sokka first and punched them both in the shoulder and commented on their military uniforms. Katara had looked so beautiful in her blue dress and boots, but he had quickly quashed that thought. She was his best friend's sister and was dating an earth bender named Haru at the time. Plus Aang, who was Toph’s best friend in her class,  was waiting anxiously for Katara and Haru to break up, much like it had been with Jet. He wasn't sure if it would go Aang's way, but he had come to really like the kid, and besides, who could completely deny the avatar. There was only one every generation, and Aang was funny, capable, talented, and often thoughtful, though immature.
After the graduation, Aang had insisted that they go have some fun before him and Sokka would be shipped off to their first military posts. They had all met at the beach an hour later to celebrate. Aang and Toph had somehow snuck some old Fire Nation wine to the beach, which Katara and Yue greatly disapproved of, but still enjoyed. Katara and Yue had fun soaking unsuspecting beach bums with their bending, while Toph and Aang had quite the sand bending competition, trying to outdo each other's newest sand sculpture. Sokka and Zuko had both been irritated with Katara's and Yue's water antics, though Zuko had been a bit pleased with how Katara's eyes had scanned his soaked body. Later on in the evenin, Zuko and Azula lit up a massive bonfire and they all sat around and drank from the bottles of wine. When Haru arrived late, Zuko had shoved down the tiny bit of jealousy that reared its head as he watched his arm snake around Katara's waist. He glanced over at Aang and was relieved that he was better than Aang at covering his emotions. Beside, he was an adult now and Katar was still in school, who knew when he would see her again. When his cousin,  Lu Ten, arrived late, he broke up the party and made sure all these silly drunk children got home safely. As he had been driving, Yue had loudly whispered to Katara that his cousin was cute and Katara had agreed. He tried to remember to keep his jealousy in, but 10 seconds later Zuko's heart flipped when Katara agreed with Toph that Zuko and Lu Ten kinda looked alike. He argued with himself that she was just drunk and probably didn't really think that. When they dropped off Sokka and Katara at hom, she gave him a hearty, giggly hug and made him promise to watch out for Sokka while they were out saving the world. He had blushed greatly and stammered out the promise. He and Sokka left the next day. They had gotten lucky enough to stay in the same company for 8 months before Sokka was moved to a different group where he could focus more on his engineering ingenuity.
Zuko was immediately brought out of his reverie as Dean Bumi walked him into the health office. The health clerk was Yue! She looked up to greet the new hire and did a double take, looking up from the paperwork she had been dutifully filling out.
“Zuko!?” she said, beaming up at him.
“Hi Yue! I didn't know you were working here now?” Zuko said, stunned.
“I didn't know you had been discharged! But I guess it has been a bit over 4 years, huh? I thought if Sokka decided to stay in, you might as well.”
“We haven't been together in the military for a bit now. He's been stationed in the Caldera, working in a company of engineers for the last several years. We've seen each other off and on, but it's been a little different with me outranking him after our first year or so. We still text every so often. He seems pretty happy.”
“Well good, it's good to see you, and I'm glad to hear you are still friends,” Yue said with a wistful look in her eye.
“What about Katara, are you still friends too? What's she up to nowadays?” Zuko tried to sound as conversational and casual as possible. Sokka hadn't kept Zuko up to date on his sister really, only mentioning her occasionally.
“Of course we're still friends. You haven't seen her yet?” Yue asked with a small blush.
Bumi interrupted before Zuko had a chance to reply, “No, we haven't yet visited Master Katara's classroom. We will after we visit the earth bending class.”
Zuko was trying to process that she was a teacher now. That she was here! That he was going to see her shortly! The last time he had seen her and Yue, they had still both been kids, and now they were both here, all grown up and teaching/healing the next generation. He wondered how Sokka had never mentioned this or how he had never seen it on Katara's social media? But then again, Katara would post on social media rarely, and it was usually more about the progress that still needed to be made into the integration of all women, regardless of their ancestry. It had been a fight she had been making since coming to the school.
Master Pakku was still somewhat set in the old ways and often pushed the female waterbending students more towards the healing arts than anything else. She had been surprisingly determined to change things for a little 12 year old girl. She worked hard enough to be one of the very rare female students Master Pakku allowed into his higher bending classes. Once she was in Katara immediately created a club where she taught every other female waterbender who had been pushed elsewhere all the skills she learned in his class. When Master Pakku had tried to get her in trouble for creating an unsanctioned club she had asked for a sparring match between all Master Pakku’s top male benders and her little club of girls. The girls did their best and took out a few of their male contenders, but it was ultimately Katara who took on the last 5. She took them all out with a fancy move she claimed she had learned from watching Zuko firebend. After that Bumi fully sanctioned her club and Master Pakku started integrating at least a few more girls into his upper bending classes. The misogyny of the whole situation was something he had heard many a rant about during their school lunch hour and he had always been relieved it hadn't been something Azula had to deal with.
After Zuko and Bumi had left Yue's office all Zuko could think about was seeing Katara. Suddenly, instead of living in his memories as he walked through the nostalgic halls of their old school, he was wondering to himself what she looked like now. Was she still dating Haru or had Aang finally gotten a chance? Would he have a chance? Should he even think about taking a chance? She was still his best friend's sister and now his coworker, maybe there are too many lines to cross anyway.
Zuko was so in his own head, barely listening to Bumi's tour comments, that he was surprised when his arm was punched.
“Earth to Zuko!” Toph mocked him. “Are you there, Zuko?”
Zuko just gawked at Toph and then slowly smiled and sarcastically asked, "Do you greet your students this way too?”
“Of course not, Sparky! That greeting is only ever for my favorite people. You, Twinkletoes….” Toph looked off thoughtfully, “and Snoozles whenever I might see him next?” She looked at Zuko questioningly.
“I'm not sure when Sokka will have his next leave.” Zuko said knowingly. Perhaps Sokka had been too focused on his crush on Yue during his last 2 school years to notice that Toph had a massive crush on him. Zuko had sometimes wondered if that was the only reason Toph had insisted on being his friend.
“Well next time you talk to him, tell him his sister and his best friend deserve a visit.” Toph said.
As he and Bumi walked out, he smiled wondering if he, as Sokka's best friend, was who she was really concerned about. He was positive that Toph would still be flirty with Sokka if he ever came back for a visit.
Being a firebender, Zuko hadn't really been in the earth, air, or water areas of the school a whole lot during his school days. However, as he walked into one of the waterbending classrooms he suddenly understood why the school had been built on the coast instead of in the neighboring city of Ba Sing Se. He had always appreciated being on the coast when his friends would drag him down to different parts of the beach during the weekends, but he had never realized just how close some of the school buildings were to the water. As they walked into the room he could see the French doors at the back of the class were propped fully open to a gorgeous view of the ocean. He couldn't quite see the beach below the small cliffs, but he could see the staircase that would lead students down to the water. Bumi led him out the doors and 30 yards down the stone path to the staircase. As he looked down to the beach, he could see her, working on her waterbending forms. The students who would arrive next week were surely lucky to be learning from such a capable teacher… a beautiful teacher. He swallowed hard as she turned around and caught sight of him and Bumi. Her face broke out into a smile and her blue eyes made all thoughts of what he might say disappear.
“Hey Zuko! What are you doing back here?” Katara said as she walked towards him barefoot.
“He's going to be teaching our next generation of sword masters and helping the firebending teacher on occasion,” Dean Bumi answered for him when he couldn't seem to form any words despite him opening his mouth.
Finally, he stammered out, “Katara, it's good to see you again.”

OMG what were they like as teenagers ??????
TEENAGERS SCARE THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF ME
(sorry I had to)
Peppino: Oddly enough, he was very cocky. He had all the confidence in the world. He and Maurice would argue a LOT. They almost got into fist fights a couple times. He was very willing to fight people. He was a bit of an angry teenager.
Gustavo: He was always a good kid. He got along well with everyone. He had very good grades. He was especially interested in his culinary class (at my school, it was called Home Ec). He was a good scholar.
Mr. Stick: He was a bit angsty. He didn't really know how to handle the hormonal emotions that come with being a teenager. He had a few friends. He had good grades in math classes. People would pay him to do their homework.
Pepperman: ANGSTY. "You don't understand, mom!" type of teenager. Was really into his art at the time. He had a handful of friends that he would discuss art with. He was definitely a little emo.
The Vigilante: He was homeschooled. He worked on the farm a lot and helped out his parents. He was a good kid, but he could get a little hot-headed at times. Despite that, he was pretty happy. He was a tad bit lonely as he didn't have many friends.
The Noise: ANGSTY, EDGY, NASTY, MEAN. He and his mom argued a TON. He acted out constantly and got into a lot of trouble. He got into a few fights. He spent a lot of time at the skate park. He was arrested once but was let off with a warning. He never did his homework causing him to do poorly in school.
Noisette: She was a little sassy. She didn't take shit from anyone. She was still sweet, but at the time, her temper was short. She got in trouble for beating up someone who was bullying her. She had trouble paying attention in school as she had ADHD.
Fake Peppino: He was pretty froggy. He had some behavioral issues and threw quite a few tantrums. He ate Gerome once but threw him up. (Gerome didn't mind. He was fine.) He was very moody as all teenagers are.
Pizzahead: He was very fussy. Queen tantrum. He had a little trouble regulating his emotions. He was VERY GOOD in school and graduated a few years early. He went to college shortly after.
Pillar John: He was a good kid, always. He got along well with everyone. He wasn't too keen on doing his homework, though. He got yelled at a few times for it.
Gerome: Emo. Angsty. He was very quiet and stoic. He was a little depressed. He struggled with his emotions and dealing with them. He was okay in school. He was kind of a mediocre student in general.

ArchiveVerse Cross
Tumblr media
(sorry if the quality is butchered everyone Ibis paint is uncooperative today)
Finally, i'm able to work on ArchV content, with my favourite character, Cross. More under the cut.
Cross is the first one to get a 'reference sheet' or a character intro, since he's the first one to kickstart this AU too. Expect more ArchiveVerse charcaters to receive the treatment in the future.
(though for now Delta is next, because i absolutely hate his current archv design, and i'm redoing it. If you had anyone you're interested in seeing next, please tell me.)
I actually don't know how to format this post, though, so sorry if the information is all over the place (or if it's too much information). To understand most of the things I write here, please refer to my ArchiveVerse post.
Tumblr media
★Info★
Cross, a student from the Omega Public School (OPS), used to be a normal student. That is, until he got caught in trouble along with Ink and a student from Juvie, Error. Ink was let off scot free, but Cross wasn't so lucky. Due to the troubles he caused, he was quickly arrested and thrown to the Juvenile Containment. Much to his own displeasure.
There, as much as he distances himself, he made friends with the other students contained there (Dust, Killer, Horror, and Nightmare). Though, it doesn't deter him from grinding hard for credits and speedrunning his community service to be released fast and quick from Juvie. He succeeded.
After graduating from the Juvenile Containment, Cross returned to OPS, and swore to just become a normal student, avoiding having himself thrown into Juvie again. He tries his best to steer clear from trouble, though the other Juvie students seem to bring that trouble to him, often dragging him along to their mischief.
Tumblr media
Quick facts:
His height is 180 cm (probably he's the third tallest character in archv)
Cross's powers are Lightning, and on the side, he has small matter manipulation powers, able to break down molecules, though he hasn't explored his capabilities with this yet.
His powers are volatile, and he still had difficulties controlling it. Occasionally he'd accidentally zap someone when he touched them. Purple sparks of lightning also fizzle out of his fingertips when he's flustered or nervous.
He wears at least three layers of clothing.
Cross has been described as handsome, with long legs.
He rides his bicycle everywhere, often going for rides in the weekend too.
Cross always brings his school bag whereever he goes, in it are chocolate energy bars, and other utilities.
His eyelights are starry whenever he's overjoyed (this is his swap sans trait guys)
Every student in OPS has their own house, Cross makes sure to keep his living space tidy and neat.
Character relationships:
(These are only the ones i can mention off the top of my head)
Cross and Dream hangs out sometimes. To drink latter or get breakfast. Cross really admires him.
He often hangs out at the arcade with Delta, Epic, and Color. Delta seems somewhat hellbent on beating him at anything, Cross felt like he can't lose. Epic and Color plays a cooking game.
Dust, who was banned from entering most merch stores and malls, often sent Cross for fetch quests to get him any new Ice-e merch. Cross finds this annoying but obliges.
Killer and him often zap each other back in juvie, he still have black spots and bruises in several parts of his body. Nowadays, they still zap each other sometimes, Killer mostly for teasing— and Cross, on accident.
Horror and him often went to all-you-can-eat events together, they also exercise together occasionally.
Even out of Juvie, Cross still calls Nightmare by 'boss'. Nightmare finds it embarrassing of him.
Cross rarely met Ink, still somewhat wary that Ink will drag him into some sort of trouble. Though, he doesn't hate him.
Credits (please tell me if I missed anyone!):

I'm still gonna do proper au posts for all my AU's eventually but I'm in a certain mood and I follow that dopamine like a starving street dog
So. Here's every Makoto from every Arcana Swap I have.
It will be a long post, but I'm putting the bulk of the content under the cut, I know I clog tags sometimes and I apologize
Anyways. Feel free to talk to me about each of these, ask about the swaps as a whole, and offer suggestions! I enjoy interaction a lot
So. Every Makoto. Under the cut
0 - Fool Makoto (Learning to be Young) {P4}
This Makoto was raised strictly by an aunt after the death of her parents, and has since been kicked out of her home. So, she's reuniting with her older sister, who was kicked out for the same reason many years before. Makoto, during her time in Inaba, experiences what being a teenager is all about. She's only got that final year, but even mysterious murders won't keep her from truly living
Ft no rizz Makoto showing up and having every girl just. Fall for her. Epitome of autism swag meme thing. Has a polyquad in it
0 - Fool Makoto (Doomed Toxic Yuri Swap)
After being arrested for something she didn't do, Makoto is sent to live with her older sister in Tokyo while on parole. She intends to keep her head down so she can get into a good school still, but she can't douse the flames of righteous rage in her heart when she encounters injustice. That anger of hers is what landed her in Tokyo, and it'll be the spark that begins a rebellion in those around her
This one has Justice Haru. And they're in a doomed toxic Yuri. For those who need more than fluff in their lives
3 - Empress Makoto (ACAB swap)
Daughter of the police commissioner, Makoto has her whole future pre-determined for her. Her father has been changing, and won't listen to her about not wanting to follow in his footsteps. She wants to be a mechanic, but... If only she had a way to return home to the man she once knew...
In her confidant, she'd be dealing with grief, but also, reuniting with Devil Sae, and trying to fix her future, get out of the school her father set her up for, and into the courses she wants herself
4 - Emperor Makoto (Gender Thieves)
Second palace is Kobayakawa in this. Makoto is his perfect attack dog, kept under his thumb by promise of scholarships and recommendations. The others make Makoto see that she's being strung along, and she breaks free. And, mega rebels. Rebels so hard they throw out their gender. They/he Makoto. Grunge Makoto
Ft trans boy Haru, and MakoHaru are together from the start in this. A soft prep boyfriend who's scary with a bat and his grunge gruff partner who's scared of the dark
6 - Lovers Makoto (Morg Swap)
She graduated early, finished teachers college, and is doing her one year placement at a middle school. The principal is using blackmail to keep her complicit and silent, making her forget the reason she was so passionate about teaching in the first place
Ft Fool Morgana! It also has a Hermit Haru and Magician Joker, this one I'm real proud of
7 - Chariot Makoto (Chaos Swap)
A classic. In an attempt to stand up against Kamoshida and his abuse, Makoto got beat up, and framed for using physical force to get better grades. An outcast and feared by her peers, this is a punk Makoto all the way. If given the chance, she'd risk it all to save the other students, even after all they've done to her.
This one was my first one it's my favourite. It's also mostly silly goofy so
8 - Justice Makoto (Blood Moon Swap)
The darkest of these. Young, Makoto's mother dies. Her father, never in her life before, appears and informs her it was her fault, and demands she make up for it, following his orders, his little psychic assassin. She's filled with anger; at herself, her actions, her father, at those she's told to dispose of. She shakes with rage, a need to tear down everything around her, make everyone else feel how shitty her life was. Her public appearances as a junior detective are firm, and serious. Proper.
Plot includes the discovery that the Fool, Goro, and Makoto were twins. Separated after the death of their mother. A "what if", since in Makoto's arc they were sort of parallels almost?
9 - Hermit Makoto (Polygirls Swap)
This Makoto watched her parents die. A Good cop, an EMT, trying to help someone, when suddenly they, changed, and walked off of a bridge. She's believed it had something to do with her for a long time, but after she's saved from her own distorted heart, she comes to the conclusion that the "Black Mask" had them killed for planning to report a superior for taking bribes from Shido
This is the Fool Ann and Emperor Haru au where the three are gay and together and gay.
12 - Hanged Man Makoto (Age Swap Au)
Makoto, a former soldier, runs a seedy shop in Shibuya to afford her younger sister Sae's hockey fees. She's still carrying the mental and physical scars from her time in service, but will do anything for her younger sister, even if it means letting the cops do whatever to her so she won't get arrested again
This is adult confidant Thieves, so the main cast of this au are the adults, like Sojiro and Sae and Iwai. The Niijima sisters get along a bit better here
19 - Sun Makoto (Yaoi Swap) {I hate that name}
This. This is just an au where literally they're all guys and theys. Whether it's trans guys, NB, CIS, or demi, they're. All guys. So this is a guy Makoto, captain of the debate team at Shujin, who offers the fool speech lessons in exchange for understanding people better. Makoto wants people to stop being scared of him, and wants to stop fearing people at the same time
Ft Yaoi MakoHaru. It's. Man idk this is a crack au
- Faith Makoto (Uh. I don't have a name for this one)
Trans guy Makoto. Parents died the night he came out, complete accident. So, he's been living as a girl and denying it happened ever since. Only, Makoto is his chosen name. Whoever the Councilor is in this au will mess up and use his dead name and. Big moment
Most of my Makoto's aren't like. Goody. This one is. He'd totally want to be a lawyer. Sweater vest and ties. He's a little gentleman, though he does Aikido, and is gym buddies with Ryuji. Layers

ANYWAYS. WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE MAKOTO?

police izuku au
i dunno how i didnt think of this before bc i actually love reading fics of this au
this is gonna be a bit unorganized because its straight from my notes app but oh well
-izuku being one of the youngest graduates of the police academy/helping out so much at the station that they just go 'fuck it' abd give him a license
-IZUKU WITH GUNS !!!
-he also does part time detective work because his analysis is unmatched
-he has degrees in psychology, criminology, social work, and he's a licensed EMT + his detective/police shit
-everyone knows him in the station, and so do heroes that frequent there like eraserhead
-hes basically naomasa's son
-he has coffee+smoking addictions but hes stoll the sunshine boy of the police
-though once or twice they've seen him get real mad on the field and the officers that witnessed it are vaguely terrified of him
-but he's still baby
-martial arts !!!! his local dojo is his third home, only behind the station and his shitty but cozy apartment.
-he's been doing minor detective work since he was fourteen, at fic time he's like 16 and also managed to stop the war by predicting attacks and arresting/saving and rehabilitating the league and shooting afo through the head.
-the hero students know of and have seen him at this point but havent spoken to him
-they just kind of see him popping up everywhere and hanging around crime scenes and periodically annoying tsukauchi and eraser because he's a chaotic neutral gremlin
-he would be chaotic lawful but he's only lawful where the law can see
-He should have never met nedzu.
-he's chaotic neutral because while he is technically a Good Guy, he does chaotic (illegal)shit when he wants where he wants because he wants to and has no survival instincts
-he's lowkey kind of depressed/suicidal
-hes also on anxiety meds which tend to ramp up the sucidal thoughts for some fucking reason
-so thats why he isnt a jittering ball of nerves, stuttering and other cringe shit
-also because he got that shit beat of out him like he's hella traumatized
-also kinda psychotic but its cool
-he laughed in bakugous face once
-legit looked down at him(cuz i made izu tall), smirked, snorted, and burst out laughibg while bakugou was threatening him.
-"id say im sorry but im not, its just hard to take you seriously when i have to crane my neck to look down at you-" then turned around and walked away towards the detective, still giggling
-bakugou was so stunned he didnt go after him.
-HE HAS A MULLET !!! ITS  NOT SUPER NOTICEABLE BUT ITS THERE
-he also has his ears pierced,
-the earing on his left ear is one he had custom made from a piece of his jawbone he had to get removed after he got fucked up on the field one time
-its sick as fuck and he'll tell the story to whoever asks, its not a sensitive thing
-his jaw is a bit crooked too like u can see where the chunk is missing
-not super noticeable but still there
-he's like 6'2, so noticeably much taller than naomasa, but the detective still likes to ruffle his hair, even though he has to reach up now.
-sometimes he looks at him and sighs, grumbling about how his son is all grown up now
-1A and 1B  are 2A and 2B at fic time, and simce the war never happened (for them), they are significantly less traumatized
-izuku however was at the frontlines when they went in for the final takedown of the league,
-so he's traumatized enough for all of them.
-he's covered in scars from knives, bullets, claws, SH, etc etc
-he's also ripped
-gotta be for the police work
-not like aizawa ripped but if he rolled up the sleeves on a button up and crossed his arms the seams of the shirt would be straining.
-one time he was in one of those tight sleeveless shirts that have bare hips (yk the ones whore) and he got called in so he didnt change and everyone got a good look at all the muscles and scars
(//👁️////👁️//)
-the UA students were there too because he was called in (optionally) to help with training shit and he just didnt bother to change
-they were simpin fr
-he's aroace tho <333 (projecting)
-tsuki tossed him a double thigh holster 4 knives which made his baggy cargo pants a bit less baggy and a bit more *cough* defined (cue more student simping)
-he's completely unaware of the effect hes having on them btw
-and fingerless gloves with padded+built in brass knuckles!!! he already had those on tho
-hes just funky like that

i don't usually do these kinds of things, but today was a nightmare of a day, so here's a vent post (it's long, so i'll put it below the read more)
the cast:
gina: PI for my research lab, was one of the very first people to catch covid back before we even knew what covid was and immediately developed long covid, is currently in her 4th year of an incredibly nasty divorce, has been so unhelpful and not present as a mentor in the last 4 years that we would all just like her to take a sabbatical please
me (alle): 6th year senior graduate student, was supposed to graduate this summer but had a nervous breakdown in the spring and deferred a semester, senior TA for gina's super special chemistry and politics class which i will inevitably wind up taking over when gina's health takes the same nosedive it's taken every semester for the last 4 years but god forbid i get paid as a lecturer, has put more hours into gina's super special chemistry and politics class than gina has which keeps me too busy to actually do anything for my dissertation
mingyu: 6th year senior graduate student, the literal definition of stoic, has had the good fortune of receiving federal funding for his project so doesn't have to TA, was also supposed to graduate this summer but gina decided to take on a new student (mina) at the last minute that he just has to train so he had to defer a semester, is so busy training mina that he doesn't have time for his own research
tessa: 4th year senior graduate student, junior TA for gina's super special chemistry and politics class, also the only graduate student who works with undergrads in the lab (she manages 6 of them), also got voluntold by gina to mentor two high school students this summer, TA + undergrads + high schoolers = no time for research, used to mentor ahmad but she is competent and he is not and it didn't end well
ahmad: 3rd year graduate student, the most incompetent man you'll ever meet despite being 10 years older than everyone else in the group (save for gina), 95% positive he faked his credentials to get into grad school because this man does not know shit despite being here for three years, this man poured liquid nitrogen down the drain and nearly ruined the 100 year old pipes in this building, this man told tessa's undergrads to catch concentrated hydrochloric acid with their bare hands, this man does not understand the concept of playing well with others and putting other people first, if there's an interpersonal conflict in the lab it's because he started it
mina: technically 3rd year graduate student but decided to abruptly switch research groups because apparently there are no jobs in inorganic chemistry anymore so she needs a biochem group (we are not biochem) ((and she refused to change her project so her research is still inorganic chemistry so i'm not sure what good this is doing))
kiara and darya: technically 2nd year graduate students but did the same thing as mina, not super relevant but i'll mention their names at one point or another, the most recent people to join the group three months ago
the background:
a month ago, tessa was supposed to give group meeting. gina cancelled that group meeting however, just like she's cancelled all but a handful of our group meetings for the last four years (i think i can probably count on two hands the number of group meetings we've had since her arrest. maybe). this would usually mean that tessa would present at the next group meeting, but gina cancelled that one too. for whatever reason, tessa took that to mean that she wasn't supposed to be presenting at the one two weeks ago. gina got (rightfully) pissy at her when tessa said she didn't have anything to present and hadn't even brought her computer, so gina told her to do a "chalk talk" where she outlined her entire project on the board for the high schoolers and new grad students.
(side note: gina explicitly said that chalk talks were a perfectly acceptable form of group meeting if we have new students in the lab and are trying to introduce them to each project or if we're trying to give her a summary of how far we've gotten on our project.)
i was supposed to go next for group meeting (which would have been last week), so i prepared a standard presentation with mostly data, but then i learned that we had two new grad students interviewing with us and that one of the high schoolers is interested in my research field, so i switched at the last second to a chalk talk to break down this project.
but then we got to group meeting last week and three things happened: first of all, gina apparently asked tessa to prepare a presentation on professional communication in the lab after a huge blowup between tessa and ahmad over ahmad stealing tessa's enzymes for his own project and not replacing them. secondly, out of the seven people in the lab (not including the two high schoolers), the only people who showed up in person were the three senior grad students (myself, tessa, and mingyu) so none of the new people who would have benefitted from a chalk talk were there (doubly funny that it was put together with ahmad in mind and he decided to sleep in). which would have been fine, i would have just switched to the original powerpoint presentation, except thirdly, gina decided that she needed extra time before class to get into the right headspace (since group meeting is right before class) and it became really obvious really fast that despite tessa originally thinking her part would only take 10 minutes, gina wanted to talk about everything in excruciating detail for an hour.
(side note: when i mentioned i was originally planning a chalk talk, gina was not only explicitly fine with this, but interested in seeing how i would break my work down.)
this would've meant that i would go this week, but gina said, and i directly quote, "instead of giving group meeting, alle, come meet with me personally." so we met and she reiterated that my meeting with her was instead of group meeting.
the story:
gina being the world's worst mentor, this wouldn't be the first time that she's gone back on something she said, so i was still prepared to give group meeting this morning. that is, until saturday. on saturday, she texted everyone to say that she had caught the flu and wouldn't be on campus today. yesterday, she texted us all again to remind us that she had the flu. now, given the four years of history with gina, i expected that meant that she would text us all this morning to say she was cancelling group meeting, but just in case, i made sure to wake up early enough to make it to campus on time.
this morning rolls around and she still has the flu, but wonder of wonders, she did actually want to hold group meeting but she wanted it to be short and over zoom. okay, fine. in the past, the words "short group meeting" from gina has meant that she wants a 2 minute research update from everyone and then she'll spend 20-30 minutes talking about her life and her personal problems, and we might circle back around at the end to talk about some housekeeping things (which we could have today, since conference registration in the fall is coming up). so i thought "okay, i'm off the hook until next week."
so we sit down for the zoom meeting (miracle of miracles, the four people who decided to skip out on last week's meeting (ahmad, mina, kiara, and darya (the junior grad students, for anyone counting)) were actually there) and gina immediately starts things off with "who's presenting group meeting today?" and i thought "well shit." but it's fine, it's okay, it's a little frustrating because it's a lot harder to do a chalk talk over zoom so i need to do the presentation, which is definitely not short, but it's fine.
but before i can even pull up the powerpoint, someone said "it's alle's turn from last week" (given his inability to stop himself from brown nosing and starting shit, i suspect it was ahmad) and gina. went. off. apparently the fact that i didn't already have the powerpoint pulled up and wasn't prepared to start talking as soon as we sat down meant that i was completely wholly unprepared for the entire thing. so she goes "alle why didn't you say anything when i asked? what are you supposed to be presenting? why didn't you bother to pay attention to the schedule?"
and i tried to say that i didn't say anything because i was originally planning on a chalk talk and that sends her off too because apparently, in the last week, chalk talks have become completely unacceptable to give in this group and tessa only gave one because she didn't have a computer with her during the group meeting she was supposed to present at but that doesn't mean that i can do one too, so again, clearly i'm not prepared.
this time i actually managed to get a word in edgewise, so i said "i do have a powerpoint i've been working on in the last few weeks, i just don't have it pulled up yet." hell, i could've actually shared two, depending on how long she wanted me to talk: the data one, which would've taken about an hour, and the one from the conference at the end of may, which would've been a great project summary for the new people and only about 20 minutes.
(side note: gina's never actually seen my conference presentation because she cancelled all of my group meetings where i would have practiced and "rescheduled" personal meetings i was supposed to have with her only to not go to them and didn't bother to show up to my actual talk, which i was terrified about given the aforementioned nervous breakdown.)
i was actively in the process of pulling it up, but before i can share my screen, she snaps no, once again, i've just proven that i'm unprepared and why is it always the senior grad students in this lab who are so unprepared (this is literally the first time i've ever, in seven years, been expected to present at group meeting and not been ready for it, and the sole reason i wasn't ready was because gina herself said she was sick and needed a short meeting) and why does no one in this lab (especially the senior grad students, according to her) take group meeting seriously (again, i can count on two hands the number of times we've had group meeting in four fucking years and more to the point, ahmad keeps skipping group meeting because he decides he didn't get enough sleep to go even when he's not presenting, but sure gina, the senior grad students are the ones not taking this seriously (also, remember who was present at last week's meeting and who skipped?)).
so then she goes off on mingyu because apparently the group meeting calendar that he put together isn't up to her standards. and not only does he need to do it all over again, but he needs to print it out and put it in the lab somewhere so that people stop being unprepared, even though that won't do any good given the number of times gina cancels (and the reason no one has been prepared is because she keeps cancelling and we lose track of who's supposed to present when when it's been two months since the last one, AND I WASN'T READY BECAUSE SHE SAID WAS SICK AND WANTED A SHORT MEETING).
and then she decided that we aren't having group meeting next week because she has jury duty and despite calling the courthouse, they're not letting her skip out on it (which, gina, what? no one ever gets out of jury duty by calling, that's not how jury duty in this city works). but when we have the next group meeting, tessa needs to go again to present the data from two weeks ago that she didn't present and then i need to go and, oh yeah, mina needs to go by the end of july because she has a conference and needs to practice (remember when gina cancelled all of my practices and talks with her before my conference presentation? lol yeah me too).
(side note: it has been a year and a half since ahmad last presented at group meeting, it's been a year since mina last presented, and kiara and darya have never presented despite being here for three months. every time gina resets group meeting, it's always me, tessa, or mingyu having to present.)
and then after 20 minutes of yelling at us, after all of that and making it clear that being unprepared for group meeting was unacceptable and the senior grad students were embarrassing her... gina decided she was too sick to continue with group meeting and told us all to go.

deaths explained + time travelling kids au
so, when achilles crane-cardew, plutarch heavensbee, aelia ravinstill and athena creed are fourteen, all their parents die.
after their parents’ death, the kids were extremely distraught and were full of grief (athena more so than the others).
and when they’re eighteen, they finally find out how and who killed their parents. they’re all revengeful when they find out it was the same person that killed their parents. coriolanus snow.
here’s how they died
felix and clemensia were killed in a car accident. festus and persephone died due to food poisoning. hilarius and vipsania had a posca overdose. livia and arachne both had a sudden cardiac arrest.
felix and clemensia had been the first couple to die. they were both on the way home to their fourteen-year-old daughter from a social event. then, they got into a mysterious car accident. all the cctv footages of the car accident were gone. they all mysteriously disappeared. no one was able to figure it out until their own daughter, aelia ravinstill did the day she turned eighteen.
festus and persephone had passed a week after felix and clemensia. similarly, they were both in an event. coriolanus offered them food, and they both simply started choking and death came for them. the cctv cameras were broken that night. later when flavius was sixteen, he’d then take his own life. athena was the only price-creed left.
(help i lowkey do not know how to explain livia & arachne’s and hilarius & vipsania’s…like it just happened. or maybe that’s what coriolanus said what happened…who knows?)
time travelling kids au (scenario one)
in this au, the kids create a time travelling machine with the help of io jasper and urban canville’s son: albert canville (much to aelia’s dismay). they’re not technically sure about this whole time travelling thing, but they decided it’s the only way they could get their parents back and make sure coriolanus doesn’t end up a total prick like he is now.
they test out the time travelling machine, and the group of four actually did it. albert canville actually did it. they were now in the beginning of their parents’ senior year.
since they were wearing the academy uniform, professor demigloss/dean highbottom thinks they’re new students and tells them to go to the orientation. the four of them see each of their parents there + coriolanus and they just panic.
this is the first time they’ve seen their parents & co. in four years and when professor demigloss tells them to introduce themselves, all four of them would go like: “uh, um, well” for a few moments until arachne raises an eyebrow and give them that look.
they just make fake last names similar (in a way?) to their actual last names. so now, they’re achilles byrd-shaw, athena cress, aelia heron, and plutarch whimslou. (i actually do not know.)
coriolanus is suspicious of them immediately. when he asked them “why did you guys just enroll in the academy when we’re about to graduate?” and “i don’t think i’ve ever seen you around before?”, but they always dodge the topic somehow.
they’re a few days in and then all of a sudden, albert canville and june ruby snow show up. though, this one was by accident due to june ruby accidentally stumbling across the time travel machine and albert just tries to hide it, and they hit the button by accident.
them being there creates more chaos and albert and aelia get into an argument in front of everybody and they’re all like: hey, they remind me of felix and urban?
and to top it all off, albert literally says: “well, at least coriolanus snow didn’t murder my parents!” in front of coriolanus snow himself.
everyone is just shocked.
the kids explain everything to them- except for the part whrre they’re some of their children.
coriolanus is now terrified and doesn’t murder his friends in the future.
everyone’s happy and well in the future and june ruby still exists!
i was going to add scenario two in here but the post was already long enough (also, i haven’t thought fully about scenario two at all😭), so it’ll be in another post coming soon!

[SYNOPSIS] ˚⁀➷。 it hurts because it isn’t fair. it hurts even more because you’re tired of being selfless. this is your moment to be selfish.
[NOTES] ˚⁀➷。 hellooooooo!!!! here it is! i know it took a lot of time, but i really liked this idea since i first got the ask🤭 hope you like it! prompt no. 10 “remember me” + mikey ;
tw: kind of a breakdown?
Tumblr media
TOKYO HEART CLUB
“it’s all righ— “
“no it’s not! don’t tell me it’s alright when it isn’t, mikey! does it look alright to you?”
mikey pushes your head even harder into his shoulder. his already dirty toman uniform is dirtied even harder with your cries and he feels his heart shattering at the sound of your off-chord symphonies.
“i worked my ass off, and you know that!” you raise your head and yell at him, as if it’s any of his fault, “i studied japanese alone, i bought all my books and study materials, i got here on my own, with no one’s help! i won the shadowing residency at UTokyo and i did all i could so i could be top of my class and stay here! and how do i get rewarded? i’m being sent away because some snot-nosed, rich kids want to come to japan to fool around and they had to bribe admissions!”
mikey looks in your eyes with a look so comforting, yet annoying. it’s the looks that means ‘i know, you deserve none of this”, but that very look pains you because you know it too. perhaps it’d have been easier if you would have convinced yourself it was you who did something wrong, but you really were a picture-perfect student: highest grades, always respectful and attention-paying in class, never got into fights that the study abroad agency heard of, you did everything to a t. and yet they still want to send you away? because of what? rich kids that’ll do nothing but get low grades, won’t even bother studying japanese and most likely get arrested for doing dumb shit, sooner or later? everything you have, they don’t, and they’re still sending you away? and not just you, all of your friends, kids who put in just as much effort as you to get where they were. and now, all of their dreams are shattered.
you look in his eyes and in their reflection plays a painfully beautiful movie of memories. your eyes start to water even harder and you just can’t take it anymore.
“don’t let me leave, mikey!” you grab onto his shirt and with fists full of white cotton you pull on it, as if you’re pulling your own hair out, “i love you, i love being here with you, you’re my sec— screw that, you are my family! i don’t want to lose you, you know? and i don’t want you to forget me, please don’t forget me! always remeber me, mikey! i still want to be your girlfriend and i still want to patch you up after you come home all beat up after gang fights! i want to be there on the sides to take care of you and your team, i still want to be toman’s chief of medical assistance and hear you guys laugh about my title! i — i — “
his soft palm meets your quivering mouth and he eyes you down. his soft lips part and his eyes widen.
“what do you mean, you still want to be my girlfriend, y/n? do you think you moving away for one year, hell, even less, is going to strip you of that title? do you think you’re not gonna be the queen of toman anymore, the angel of death that patches up fifty guys at once and does so with the utmost elegance? you’ll be my girlfriend till the end of the world, you’ll be toman’s chief of medical assistance until no toman member lives anymore, you’ll come here, first thing you do after graduating, and you’ll become not only toman’s lead and only doctor, but UTokyo’s as well. and we’re all gonna be waiting here for you. i’ll never forget you, not even when i’m dead.”
he pulls you close and shakes his head in a disapproving manner, “sometimes many dumb things happen in this smart thing, “ he cups your face and kisses your forehead, “let’s go to the meeting, y/n-sensei, toman’s chief of medical assistance, what do you say?”

Danganronpa 3: Despair Arc episode 1
Thonks.
I love the framing of zooming out of Chisa's death to her sat in a cinema.
Because it's back to the past my dudes.
The colour pallet and tonal shift from the first episode of the future arc is jarring.
Like end of the world, arresting Makoto, put into a death game.
And now, high school.
Glares at Jin Kirigiri Can't wait for you to blast off.
Chisa is what I imagine a fusion between Ishimaru and Makoto would be like.
The fact there's only 4 people who showed up and one is Fuyuhiko.
I see you mister too cool for school sat in the back of the class with your feet up.
You ain't slick.
Mahiru and Hiyoko talking, Sonia sat front and center all posied.
It's insane how just one frame of them sat in class before any words are spoken, perfectly sums them up.
Chisa not being fazed by any of this, love it.
I mean honestly even her saying she doubled down on health insurance before she took this job.
Makes sense.
Super high school level or not they're still high schoolers.
And getting into Hopes peak is the hard part, once your in your in.
Your set for life when you graduate.
And as Mahiru says as long as you pass your exams and keep up your talent your good.
Why would you bother attending regular classes if that's the case.
Oh Mikan, your poor sweet child, get up.
The maid apron, guess shits going down. Ohh you're gonna show up to class, whether you wanna or not.
... I didn't need the very descriptive image of a mouldy orange but I get it.
Sonia matching Chisa's energy, yess.
Fuyuhiko tried to deny the power of friendship.
He loses.
Now I dunno if pulling a blade on a student, stabbing his table and look very much like you'll stab his hand... is the best idea.
But she spoke his language and for it got his respect.
Which I'm glad because as fun as asshole Fuyuhiko is, I like when he's friendly.
Also given the erm... Shit going on in this school, I don't think they can say much.
Just be glad Peko isn't here.
Why are we in the mens bathroo-...oh wait, Nekomaru.
Nevermind.
Nope, that's Sonia.
And the blood is pink here.
... Wish I didn't have to get that information from Teruteru having a nosebleed over Sonia ordering meat.
Sigh
I'm glad Chisa ties him up but knowing him he'd like it.
Annnd he does.
Idk if he flirts with guys in the game, but apparently Teruteru loves all.
... Way to much and way too intensely.
Stay classy, Teruteru.
Akane being spiderman, wasn't what I was expecting but here we are.
And if course they need Teruteru to cook to get Akane.
Smart.
Sonia is just getting all the pervs to go to class.
I don't care what anyone says, Gundam is so cool.
The animal shed looks like some kind of temple, torches are lit and he's standing above.
And there's giant statues of the 4 dark devas of destruction.
The bat's that signal his arrival.
"Speak the name of evil and it shall appear. You gaze upon Tanaka the forbidden one."
Gives a speech about destroying this corrupted planet.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Now that, is how you make an entrance.
Ibuki's guitar being part flame thrower just makes sense.
Peko just apologising and going, makes sense.
Idk why Fuyuhiko is suprised about Peko's job. Is it a secret they're in the Yakuza?
I mean he was scouted because of it right? Idk maybe I'm missing something.
Did... Soda just get hit by a truck?.
Oh I get it, Nagito went to get a drink and now he's gonna end up with a Soda.
Slow claps
... Nevermind the truck broke the machine and he gets all the drinks.
Great show of his talent, he had bad luck and than immediately got good luck.
The four dark devas with teeny lil brushes is so cute.
... Wait so Ryota was apart of this class?
I thought he was gonna end up being Imposter but, huh... Interesting.
Because he's preseumbly the only one who didn't become a Remnant?
And he and Chisa got out.
Hajime!!!
Hears his thoughts of people insulting him.
Hajime 🥺
Chiaki!
... Wait wasn't Chiaki just programme in the simulator? She wasn't real like the others were.
So this mean that she actually existed.
... Oh... That's not good.
I know Hajime isn't apart of the 77th class, he's a reserve course student.
But man it feels werid seeing them without him.
And he's already got those negative thoughts about himself and his lack of talent.
At least Chiaki seems like she's gonna be a friend to him, especially from what we know from the game.
... But that wasn't really her but based on her.
... Hmmm....
Wasn't expecting Hajime to be from a rich family but I guess it makes sense.
Reserve course or not, Hope's Peak is one of the most prestigious schools.
The fact they have a uniform and the Ultimate don't, immediately putting them in their own category.
I find it interesting how Makoto is now seen as lower than everyone else.
Everyone who's an Ultimate while they wonder if he even deserves his title.
And he's wearing a suite identical to Hajime's.
A symbol of the reserve course, of people the talented see as beneath them.
Chiaki offering a unique outlook, the outlook I know Hajime won't accept.
Given... Yeah.
That you have the freedom we don't, you have the ability to do what you want while I just have a pile of video games.
Similiar to how Leon dedpite his talent for baseball wanted to be a musician.
"Let's put something else first, our hope."
Nagito: Hope
Me:... Oh no.
I mean now your speaking his language.
Chisa knows Munakata already?
I wonder if they went to school together than?
Also Munakata your hair looks so much better here.
What happened man?
Oh they definitely know each other.
So Chisa, Munakata and Juzo the guy who best Makoto all went to school together.
... And now we're going back to the present where she's just been killed infront of them...
Oh boy

Barrytown: We talked to our son “for over 12 hours and he was shaking and vomiting”
Tumblr media
Voices of parents of children lost to the moonies 7
March 22, 1976
To whom it may concern:
Our son joined Moon’s group in late 1971 and was coaxed to join by a room-mate. Our son was taking graduate courses. He was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of a U.S. University in the mid-west. He was definitely idealistic, because he quit his job in his hometown because he felt the institution he worked for charged exorbitant interest rates to under-developed countries.
Mike (this is not his name) has never been home since he joined the group, because we told him we felt he was wasting his life working for Moon. We believe he has been in practically every state in the union, even Alaska, but not Hawaii. We had cards from many places. However, we did visit him twice. We noted the houses were clean where he lived. But I thought the food was not adequate. Both places had an open jar of peanut butter sitting on a table and a loaf of bread. Coffee and tea seemed to be available, but we saw no fresh fruit nor vegetables.
Mail from Mike has been infrequent and short, usually cards. However the very first letter was frightening—rambling and 10 or 12 pages long, trying to tell us why he joined this movement. He talked about the drug problem, the race problem, poverty in the world, etc. And he implied that those who joined this group had all the answers. He never mentioned the name Unification Church nor Moon for over a year after he was in the group.
We seemed to get no Christmas or Easter greetings. One Christmas we got a Christmas greeting with a snow scene. Our family always sent religious cards at Christmas. But Christmas 1974 we got no word at all. Then in February we got word Mike was married by Moon in a mass wedding in Korea. He was married to a German girl we had never heard of.
He said he worked with her in the group for a year, but our daughter, a nurse went to hear one of Moon’s talks the November before and met all the young people with him and this girl was not one of them. So we feel Mike lies to protect Moon. Later (in March) we received a letter from “our daughter-in-law”. She said, “I know you must wonder about your son who went out into the world and married someone you never met before”. But she gave no explanation of this.
Then later we received a letter from our son’s father-in-law from Germany. He and his wife are very good Christian people and they went to the trouble to find a student to write to us in English. They wanted to know about the family now related to their daughter. We immediately told them we did not approve of the Moon Movement and they too said it has been the heartbreak of their lives. She, the daughter-in-law, was still being held in Germany after being flown from Japan in December. They are having visa problems we hear.
Our son was taken back to the States in early November 1995 to Barrytown, N.Y. The father-in-law of our son told us about this and we called for several days before he finally called us back. Then we took a chance on going up to see him, my other son, an ex-Moonie and I, Mike’s mother. The ex-Moonie told him the movement was a big rip-off. We talked to him for over 12 hours and he was shaking and vomiting. It was terrible to see him so programmed that if he broke in the middle of an explanation, he would have to start all over again just like a record. He told us he just read that Franco of Spain died that morning, after we told him he does not read nor listen to TV or radio. Franco, in fact, did not die for several days. Anyway, I stepped into the bathroom for a minute and he fled, because his brother fell asleep. He left his coat and ran out into the rain. We looked for him for a while and then called the ex-Moonie’s mother and she told us to get out of New York quick or we would be arrested. We left and I was so shaken from this experience, I spent 10 days in a mental hospital for my nerves. After witnessing the fear and vomiting, I was relieved to see him go. But later I still cry for what has happened to my intelligent son.
I want to add here too that my son gave Moon $1,400 he had in a local bank. And when he married he defaulted on a state school educational loan. I received a letter about this in January 1975 and I gave the state all the recent addresses I had for my son. My son told me when we saw him November 1975 that he thought Moon paid off his loan. We heard also from a reliable source that Moon charged each person he married $400. Moon now is sending out booklets “Way of World” to presently active Moonie’s parents to make us more understanding. The NERVE he has—we now NEVER get a letter from our son at all. I cannot understand why the U.S. government lets this terrible thing happen to us, the tax paying citizens, and this foreigner with a permanent visa makes fools of us. Someone must be getting paid off. The First Amendment we need, but our judges and law makers administer the law.

Sent this to @xpaperheartso and was told to absolutely share it, and with this yearbook photo circulating again & giving me ideas, I decided I might as well go for it. So, here is my (love-filled yet tragic) backstory for Eddie’s parents and how he, eventually, ended up in the best place he could ever hope for: Wayne’s home.
(TW for brief mentions of drugs/ODing - promise it’s not detailed). Word Count: 2,526
Tumblr media
Scott and Connie Munson had very different upbringings.
Scott was Wayne’s brother, only a twinge bit older - two years, maximum. He started out a funky little kid not unlike Eddie, with way too much energy and the need to just get into/cause chaos. Only he didn’t have an outlet to put his energy into like D&D, so he got into trouble. He picked locks for fun and tried to steal from other trailers when get got bored. When he and Wayne get older, he continues goofing off and getting into trouble because he believes stealing is the only way he can get what he wants - not like his parents can get him what he wants, still struggling from the effects of the Great Depression. He’s not like Wayne, who quietly begins getting odd jobs as soon as he’s old enough just to help ease their burden. He doesn’t see the way they stress, the fear they have for Scott’s future. He just thinks it’s what he’s got to do, so he keeps doing it.
He nearly gets arrested in 11th grade for hot-wiring a car and crashing it into Lover’s Lake instead of going to class. He gets away with a harsh warning from the police, but it’s the final straw for Hawkins High. Scott is expelled on the spot. He refuses to let this be the end of him at the place though, craving the attention he routinely gets from classmates, and makes a habit of lingering around its premises. Instead of becoming a pariah, he becomes a fascination of most students, may of which try to catch glimpses of him from the halls. Not everyone is pleased - John Harrington is two seconds from calling the cops on Scott when he catches him staring at his girl) - but for the most part, he’s able to ride the high as a spectacle. That’s when he meets his wife, Connie.
Connie was a middle name turned first, “Martha Constance” sounding a bit too formal for young Connie. She has a good upbringing and lives a fairly normal life at first. She loves writing and drawing and is incredibly kind to everyone she meets. When she meets Scott, she does so already with a soft spot for him. See, she’s not like the others who think of him as only up to no good, or a circus act to be beheld. She sees him as a troubled soul with a need to break free and be heard. He tries to show off to her, to keep her from seeing what’s inside of him, but she stops his shit on the spot and instead challenges him. She puts him on the spot about his actions and asks if he really thinks they’ll ever get him what he needs. He says something like ‘Not without you by my side, no’ with the big Munson grin he later will pass down to Eddie. It charms Connie, and she decides then and there to make it her mission to fix this guy, even if it kills her.
Time passes, and the two grow close. They eventually decide to elope right after her graduation, knowing she’s lined up to start college at Indiana University and her family would never approve. The plan is for her to walk the stage and then immediate hop into Scott’s van, claiming she’s going out to celebrate with friends but actually ending up at the Justice of the Peace. The only one aside from Scott who knows of the plan is Wayne, who walks in on Scott shoving all his savings (Wayne knows they aren’t all his, saw him sneak into their parents’ room earlier) into a bag and demands to know what he’s up to now. Scott begs Wayne to keep quiet and let them do this, pleading that “This girl is the real thing, Wayne.” Wayne’s never heard his brother sound so caring for another, so he chooses to believe him and shut up - on the condition he treats Connie well. The second Connie’s not happy, he’ll spill the beans.
Scott agrees, and at first, the wedding goes off without a hitch. What they did not account for, however, was the newspaper announcing all weddings in the city. Connie soon is kicked out by her appalled parents, who already pinned her to marry a nice boy down the road with a good office job and a scholarship to the University of Chicago. With her home also goes her chance of attending IU, because there’s no chance she can afford tuition on Scott’s money. It’s too unreliable. Later that night, she ends up on his trailer doorstep with whatever she could carry and cries her eyes out in his lap. Scott even gets a little emotional. Wayne overhears the noise and comes face-to-face with exactly what he feared - an unhappy Connie. He tells Scott then that he can’t keep this hidden, says quietly that maybe their parents will be able to help if he lets them know. Scott wants to lash out, but deep down, he wonders if Wayne’s right. Maybe he can convince his family to help them, and maybe even get Connie her school money. It does not work, though. His parents kick them both out, cutting him off indefinitely for his behavior. It’s the last time Wayne sees his brother. Connie leaves thanking him for trying with a kiss.
They get a motel a mile outside Hawkins. There, Scott, always scheming, comes up with a plan. He derives this elaborate story about how they’re going to stick it to The Man™ and make their way on their own. They’ll become the stealthiest couple north of Tennessee, stealing and dealing until they can afford one of the fancy houses in Loch Nora. He mimics the shocked voices of the stuffy residents there to make Connie laugh. She ends up kissing him and telling him she loves him, that she’d do anything to see him smile like this. She promises him she’ll try and get a job for herself as well, mentally believing they one day won’t have to steal. They’ll get back to their perfect future. They end up conceiving Eddie unknowingly that night, and then make it to Indianapolis the next.
Scott sells some drugs and makes enough to buy a steady supply of more - good quality stuff that rakes in cash. He and Connie get drunk together and it’s the first time she’s tried drugs when he puts a blunt to her lips. It makes her feel free for the first time in her life. Scott tells her she looks beautiful with the smoke in her eyes and she gives him a massive grin back. They sell and indulge their way across the Midwest until morning sickness eventually hits Connie like a truck, changing their world forever.
Scott is surprisingly not upset whatsoever finding out he’s going to be a dad. He still is riding high from the whole ‘sticking it to The Man’ talk, so he thinks having a boy of his own he could raise to be successful without any government help sounds badass. Connie is relieved, but she’s also terrified knowing everything she’s done so far while pregnant and that she’s probably not getting any medical help until the big day comes. She trusts Scott though. Follows him to the ends of the Earth on his promises of more, of stability, of love. By the time she’s 9 months along, Scott brings great news that he’s snagged a job as a mechanic and they’ll have enough for a small trailer. They celebrate that night and the moment they get the keys, Connie goes into labor. Baby Eddie enters the world with love and a new trailer to call home.
Unfortunately, love cannot pay the bills, and baby Eddie comes with many. Loads. So many that, by the time he’s pushing two, not even selling drugs alongside mechanic work can sustain their family. They’re soon forced to give up the trailer and go back on the road. Scott begins dealing harder drugs and committing robberies here and there when he can do so safely. Connie stays at home with Eddie and self medicates with alcohol and some of the drugs Scott brings. It’s around this time that she drives into the full hippie aesthetic of the time, ditching her high hair to let it flow free, chocolate curls cascading down her back. When she isn’t too high to think, she’s taking Eddie to gatherings of similar people. It’s where Eddie first hears music.
They don’t settle again until Eddie needs to go to school. Connie demands they settle somewhere on a particularly sober night, demanding her son has a good life. Scott tells her it’s risky, that he’ll get caught if they don’t keep running, but Connie puts her foot down, clings to her hope of a better future desperately. So, they make it work in an even smaller town a few miles outside of Hawkins. Rent is cheaper and it’s just close enough to big cities that Scott can maintain his deals. Eddie grows up learning ‘life skills’ from him whenever he’s around, such as hot-wiring and sneaking items out of grocery stores. He listens to music with his mom, not noticing how spaced-out she is most times. He doesn’t know any better, so he thinks it’s all normal. He doesn’t question not being able to bring friends over and stays ignorant of the kind of deals or bad trips happening at his home. It all comes to light, however, when he comes home one day at age 12 and finds a slurry of cop cars outside his home.
It turns out, Scott had been right. Smaller towns were risky. He did one deal, shortchanging the person he sold to, only for them to take far too much than he prescribed and OD. Their small town knew in no time, forcing Scott on the run. The cops found him quick, but he still tried his best to keep running. He realized quickly though that it was useless, he couldn’t run forever, so he ran to the one place he wanted to see last with his freedom: home. He sprinted inside hoping to see Connie or Eddie, to tell them he’s sorry and will make this up to them soon. Only, neither of them were home. Eddie was still at school - something that brought some comfort to Scott. If he was at school, he’d be safe no matter what went down there. Connie not being around, however, was troubling. Even more troubling was the fact he saw all of their drugs and cash were gone. She’d ran away, he realized. Word probably got to her too and she bailed. He spent his last moments of freedom muttering how sorry he was to Eddie before the cops ran inside and took him away. He’s gone in a cop car with charges of murder, dealing illegal substances, avoiding arrest, and child endangerment all before Eddie arrives.
The scene Eddie finds is parentless. His little voice barely carries over the sirens calling for them.
An officer quickly takes him away from the scene and to the station. He promises Eddie that he will get his possessions but tells him he will not be going home that night. It’s not safe. He then asks Eddie if he knows where his mom is, to which he shakes his head and mentions she kissed him goodbye before he left for school and that’s all. No one ever hears from Connie until her lifeless body turns up at a festival out in the desert months later, with loads of possible causes attributed to it. In that moment in the station though, they accept Eddie’s word and tell him his dad is going away for a very long time for doing something very bad. They also ask him as he cries if he has any relatives he could stay with while they figure things out.
Eddie’s seconds from admitting he has no idea when a frazzled and panicked Wayne Munson barges into the station. He drops birth certificates, pay stubs, anything he can to prove to the officers that he’s Eddie’s flesh and blood and that he’s able to take him in. Eddie is not sure about him at first, having never heard of any uncle of his, but then again, he never heard of family, and he knew other kids had family outside of their parents. Just to be safe, he’s peculiarly shy when the officers eventually turn him over to Wayne, promising to call when he can get his things. He stays shy the whole drive home to Hawkins, to Forest Hills Trailer Park. Wayne doesn’t think twice about giving Eddie his bed. Eddie doesn’t see Wayne start silently crying when he shuts the door behind him.
Eddie wakes up that night with nightmares of everything that went down, calling for his parents - his mom. Them not being there and him waking up in an unfamiliar room compounds the situation, and soon he’s bursting into ugly sobs loud enough to wake the entire trailer park. Wayne rushes into the room in seconds, sliding into the bed and bringing Eddie in for a wordless hug without a second thought. Eddie doesn’t question it either, just hugs and lets out all of the pent up stress, confusion, and sadness of having his entire life flipped upside down in one day.
When he’s no longer sobbing, Wayne rubs his back and asks Eddie if he wants to do something he did once when things got bad. Eddie is confused but agrees, following Wayne to the bathroom. He sits on the toilet seat as Wayne brings out a pair of scissors and an electric razor. He tells him about shaving his head when he lost someone close to him (I.e. Scott), about it being a good fresh start. Eddie is worried, only having known his long hair his entire life, but Wayne’s sincerity convinces him. He lets him shave his head and only cries a little. The tears are joined with a small smile, however, and it grows when he sees his reflection in the mirror.
They spend the rest of the night getting to know each other and listening to music. Wayne lets Eddie use his acoustic guitar and is shocked yet not totally surprised he can play it, remembering Connie saying she liked music in those early days. They both pass out on the couch that night.
Wayne puts Eddie in Hawkins middle the next day and takes Eddie out for ice cream right after. He knows he has to deal with loads of legal ramifications soon and that he’ll need to pick up a hefty job to try and support Eddie, but in that moment, with his nephew getting mint chocolate chip ice cream all over his face and giggling, Wayne knows it’s worth it. It’s what he’s been working up to all these years, taking care of his family. He can do it. He will do it for Eddie.
