So i watched episodes 3 to 8 of Pahkitew Island

Again, watched these with my buddy @rockin-it-rusty! And, holy shit these episodes have got me genuinly wondering why Pahkitew's so hated.

I'll go over the negatives first; the challenges are kinda eh. The Truth or Scare one is great, and the cave one is interesting due to it's hints at the Fake Island reveal (as heavy handed as they were), but most of these were just pretty out there to me? They mostly felt like an excuse to put the characters in situations mostly. Just have Topher make a narration joke, give Max and Scarlett an interaction, have Sky and Dave dance around eachother all due to a thing the challenge made them do. I don't mind the first two much, but the last one gets super repetitive man. Glad they mixed it up a bit by making Shawn try to wingman Dave though, i like their friendship! im a bigger dashawn shipper now oops

ANYWAYS IMA TALK ABOUT THE CHARACTERS NOW BECAUSE LET'S BE HONEST, THE CHARACTERS CARRY THE SHOW!

Amy... Ok im very mixed on her. On one hand, she serves her role as the mean twin relatively well. But on the other, that's all she really is! Her one trait is being mean and hating her sister, and that's all she really does! Granted she has a thing? Where she gets sayings (?) wrong, or just gets words wrong (she says parfait is german. it's french. i would know) which! could hint at something! (maybe less smart than her sister?) but they don't do shit with her outside of her swimming back to the island in episode 5. god i wanna rewrite this season so badly now to give her a bigger role. idk shoutouts to Twinning with a Twist for redeeming her while still giving her some edge ig.

Rodney. i uh

I haven't thought about him since his elimination honestly. I just doooooon't care about him it's crazy. Most forgettable guy in the entire series.

Sammy! Ok back to the siblings rambles! I wish the show leaned into her scheming more. Girl in five episodes pulled identity theft and did nothing else. Why. Her relationship with Jasmine is adorable, and i wish she got Jasmine to call her by her actual name, and a personality too! It's really a shame man :(

Sidenote, but like her team fucking hated her for some reason??? Like what. I know it's because of that one scene, but really?

Ella!! My sweet girl Ella!!! She didn't do anything wrong man she just likes singing leave her alone!!! Chris really fucking hates her and it's pretty entertaining at least, but i'd say his beef with Topher's funnier. She has a nice singing voice, and i love how passionate she is about fairytales and stuff. You could do so much with the Prince thing and the show... didn't. Like what even was that. Conflict that wasn't one that lasts an episode. what

Gotta say though, her elimination was fucking ass, Max 100% should've been kicked instead of her.

Topher. Ah the opher. He's a special case, even in the context of Pahkitew Island itself! Because the dude's not here for the game. He's here to meet his idol, Chris Mclean (he really knows how to pick em, huh). I like the progression he's got, from wanting his approval to straight up wanting to host the game instead of him. I'll admit, my opinion's a little skewed since i am mutuals with the Topher guy on Tumblr, but i like him regardless!

His relationship with Chris is easily one of the more interesting parts of the season, mostly because a 30-something year old dude having beef with a teenage fan is hilarious, and you could definitely spin it in a sad way from Topher's perspective.

It also helps that he's genuinely funny! His few interactions with the other campers are also pretty fun, he dgaf about them it's great.

Im kind of mixed on Dave, i'll be real. On one hand, im glad they ditched the whole "he doesn't like anyone on this Island" trait three episodes in because that would've gotten. SO ANNOYING. SO FAST. (hell i'd argue it was already annoying), and him being a hopeless romantic could be a fun trait, if done right. It also helps that he's really pathetic and i find that funny. His friendship with Shawn's fun too!

But on the other hand... Yeah, even before the finale the Skave plotline's really boringgg. They just dance around eachother for half the season for like! No reason! Please just have a conversation, even if it takes other people to sit them down to have it! I know why they didn't because the finale needed them to not actually talk about it but at least have Sky tell him she'll explain later or have him not be a coward and ask her about it himself!!! ack!!

Also the thing with him and Ella went literally nowhere. I have 0 feelings about it because it's just there for some reason. Idk they just really wanted to shoehorn in romance for every girl this season huh.

Scarlett's a really underutilized character pre-Island reveal. The bulk of her interactions with the other campers are with Max, who has a ton of screentime for some reason (which i don't personally really mind but i'll explain later) which honestly sucks because she's a fun character! I want to compare her to Twilight Sparkle at the very start of MLP. She's smart, she knows it, she can communicate with her teammates just fine and just chooses not to usually. I like her alot! Im just... really disapointed that she's so in the background usually; if anyone's a wasted character in tdpi, outside of the Twins i'd say it's her.

Her legit wanting to kill Max is great though. That's how i'd react to him irl. Don't get the Max saying she had a crush on him three episodes in, or the quip Chris made during the team switching tho.

SPEAKING OF WHICH, MAX! I swear, i was convinced i'd find this guy annoying pre-watch but uh... I like this guy! No really, i do! He's like Mal, only the narrative doesn't take him seriously in the slightest and it's hilarious to watch! Im like Sugar in that one clip, i am laughing at this buffoon's intelligence, and his stupid catchphrase, and his "evil" plans, and his general delivery! Max is funny!

Even when the Scarlett "minion" thing kicked in i still found him funny! Don't get me wrong, i wish he'd gotten out earlier (ESPECIALLY when he was supposed to get kicked in the episode Ella got eliminated into) or just gotten less screentime in general, but in the season proper, yeah he's a funny guy! Big gimmick, but i like him! Please don't add nuance to him, i don't care

Jasmine... certaintly exists! I'd call her the Season's rock, the one character that's emotionally intelligent on the show. She's fun in general, and also the only one noticing things going wrong with the robotic island. As said before, her relationship with Sammy is great to see, and i wished we'd see more of her and Sky's friendship and uh. For there to be more between her and Shawn? Because the only things i've retained is that they blushed at eachother once and then trust issues party because he hit her once during a challenge and that completely broke her trust in him - which, could be an interesting aspect of her character to explore since if that's all it took for her to pull a 180 on Shawn, the girl must have a complicated relationship with trust. That's an interesting flaw! It also shows up with her rapport in Sky in the later episodes of this batch, and. GOD. I wish it was developped man!

The issue? Yeah it's dragged on so longggg man! It's frustating to watch frankly because i really wish they'd resolve this conflict quicker since it's like. The same thing every episode :( to my knowledge it's solved in episode 9, but it did NOT need to be dragged out for 4 episodes.

Unrelated to her charater, but her height difference with the other campers is kind of ridiculous. In some shots the characters look so small compared to her it's crazyyy

Ok, now. Sugar. I'll be honest? She's great! She's just a menace and doing her own thing and it's fun to watch! She's also interesting in terms of backstory since she's canonically a pageant queen; her relationship with Ella is greatly impacted by this, since she heavily suspects her of lying to her face when it's just. Ella being Ella. Similar thing to her opinion on Topher; she doesn't like him for his sucking up to Chris, the host (something that Rusty probably agrees with). I fucking wish she was more popular because then people would look into her more, but alas. She's a female, plus sized character in Pahkitew Island, so considering the Fandom's biases, it was never going to happen. U_U

OK TIME FOR ZOMBIE BOY. So, Shawn. He's definitely more present in these episodes than he was before, and, again, i think he's fun! He's a weird little guy. He's got interesting skills (his camouflage, legit parkour, general athleticism) and his personality's interesting as well compared to the other guys. The zombie thing is fine, actually, because they do different things with it over the course of these episodes. Not much to say about him, he's a solid character to me and i wish he had more interactions with the cast outside of Dave and his pining for Jasmine. Who he's talked to like, five times at this point? Again, they probably should've talked stuff out faster than this for me to actually enjoy it. Oh well.

And finally, Sky. She's an interesting case for me? She's fine, mostly. She's the Normal Person™️ of the cast to me, and that means she really struggles to grab me. It's made worse by her main plot being a basic romance plot where the gimmick is that she's a reasonable human being and Dave isn't. And neither are able to have a normal fucking conversation about it either. The mixed signals thing could've been interesting, but this is Fresh TV writters, so of course it didn't end up that way. I assume the episodes without Dave are the ones where her personality shines more? Because so far she's just been really reserved and calm. And said she'd "focus on the competition only" And then. Doesn't. Really. God i wish this season treated it's female characters better :(

OK SO OVERALL THOUGHTS:

Im mixed on alot of the character decisions

god i wished these people talked more

the screentime is not well split among the cast

the romance plots and pacing of the Island plot are the weakest parts of this season

the challenges are fine

Why does Chef have 5 lines total.

Pahkitew Island does NOT deserve the overly negative rep it gets in this Fandom, at least based on the first 8 episodes.

Okay. Paul is my first love but sexy Ace is competing with him but god I have to say Paul.

2. Who is your least favourite member?

Everyone saying Mark. I know nothing bout him

I didn't listen to their last two albums and have no intention to do so ATM

THIS IS TOO HARD TO CHOOSE. Guess I gotta say Love Gun Though But I love C'mon and Love Me!

6. Say one nice thing about each member.

Paul- He's the STAR of KISS. I probably wouldn't have gotten into KISS if it weren't for him. Everything I adore and want to be

Gene- I wanna listen to him talk while we share milk and chocolate chip cookies together

Peter- I have a soft spot for him. I think he can be really sweet and cute

Ace- Sexy, trashy, baby girl, sexy girl in hooker boots. Wanna bend over and smack that ass. He and Paul are my bisexual fantasies. BUT SERIOUSLY, The first guitar player that made me go WOW. Never got the hype about lead guitarists before but then I was thinking of 80s rock and 80's rock solos never resonated with me. His solos are iconic, not just shredding/mindless noodling. As someone who never learned how to read music, I think it's amazing he influenced many to learn. I'd love to learn how to play. Not to be in a band but I've always wanted to play a guitar. Also, I'd love to hang out with him. He's funny and bright. I think there's softness to him and I'd like to believe (coming from a fan, of course) that he's a good person. He also reminds me of my ex early 90s era....so I guess I have a soft spot for him

Eric C- I wish I could meet him. If I had to pick one member I could meet it would be him because I know he'd be super sweet

Vinnie- talented songwriter and amazing voice. Gorgeous

Mark- He did his job on Animalize

Bruce- Super sweet. He was the cutie of the group during revenge era ngl. Paul had competition.

Eric S- Seems really funny. got a nice tight body. seems every KISS drummer has a nice bod.

Tommy- Loyal and hard working. I can see why KISS kept him. Honestly he'd the kind of guy you want in your group.

7. What do you dislike about each member?

Gene- Condescending. I can see he has some views on things that I'd butt heads with him on

Paul- Overly critical of others, may come across cold. He scares me. y'all see his posts for new years???? He can come across very hurtful in his choice of words

Peter- Bitter (in the past it seems) and tbh some of the shit I read and heard that unfortunately was allowed to slide (sometimes even passed off as "funny" stories). It's a sensitive topic for me.

Ace- like Peter, awful things said and done that cannot be solely blamed on addiction which I'm very glad he recovered from btw. I'm honestly glad I never put this man on a pedestal and it's not just because "he's human like the rest of us". lol I love him but I'm glad I've been exposed to the bad early on this obsession so I don't have any unrealistic ideas about ppl, you know? I think I need to sleep with him to sort out these feelings lol

Eric C- I don't know that much to comment and feels almost unfair because he was taken away from us much too soon

Vinnie- stop scamming people omg. the insanity and charging ppl for memberships and you haven't released shit???

Mark- don't know about him. can't comment

Bruce- Maybe too nice for his own good.

Eric S- I don't know. Should have created a sex tape with Gene

Tommy- Kinda weird seeing him try to mimic Ace's facial expressions. One thing to imitate solos and his space persona but his mannerisms? I dunno just weird to see someone mimic what Ace's face naturally does? Kissy pouty lips only work for Ace

8. How did you get into KISS?

years ago, just bombarded with their imagery and sound on TV shows

9. Have you been to a concert?

Their last show. Crushing, I know

None, sadly. Like I have nothing solid if that's what you mean. anything that may have in common? sure but feels too personal to share here

This is hard because early 90s KISS was TIGHT. but I'll always love the original 4, but sweet Foxy and Brucie is so precious

13. What's your favourite era?

FUCCKKK....see this is hard. I have a big soft spot for Dynasty/Unmasked but I also love DTK and HTH

14. What are your opinions on Tommy and Eric?

They did their job. If they hadn't stepped in I wouldn't have seen KISS final show and for that I am grateful. I enjoyed their participation.

15. A question you would ask the band if you could?

I'd ask if I could suck their dick. That's tough. What haven't they've been asked before? Honestly I got some questions for Ace that's been bugging me and I know I'd never get them answered unless I knew him personally and had a real heart-to-heart conversion. I dunno I can only go off from a fan's perspective about how that'll go

16. What other bands/artists are you into?

Led Zeppelin, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga, Stromae, used to really like Adam Ant, The Sweet, OLP, Franz Ferdinand, Daft Punk. I listen to all kinds of genres and artists so I like what I like

Hard because I love Paul but he scares me. I think I'd need more than a day to get comfortable with him. I'd love to spend a day with Eric C or Bruce because they seem the nicest. Maybe I'd love to hang with Peter now. Gene, may be fun. He's a good talker. Though it be fun to get one-on-one time with Ace. I'd love a tour of all his tech and then we can compare and just geek out on technology.

20. How would you explain the band to someone who isn't familiar with KISS?

I don't know. Honestly the other people who answered this already gave greats explanations. So many pass judgment on them without giving them a chance. They're a one-of-a-kind experience. There will never be a band like them.

Personal Summary:

Waking up with no memories and alone in a space ship in a star system light years away from Earth. Ryland Grace learns, alongside the reader, who he is and why he is here. He is the worlds last shot at survival and he doesn't even know what he is supposed to be doing.

Vague Review

Star Review Breakdown:

Characters: (5/5)Funny and creative with a scientific mind. It was very easy to fall in love and root for these characters in their quest. Worldbuilding: (4/5)Despite being trapped in a space ship for most of the book, the author manages to make the world feel real and alive. It feels realistic and not as claustrophobic as I first would have thought Plot: (5/5) A captivating plot that manages to feel both urgent and drawn out just the right amount. There are a few snags but they are very forgivable and not very distracting. Pacing: (5/5) The pacing is something I haven't seen very often and is very well done. It is very informative without being bogged down with science facts or info dumping. Writing: (4/5) The writing is fresh and easy to follow. The author really puts you in the shoes of the characters. The science aspects of the book are easily accessible and understandable. Recommended To: Beginners in the Sci Fi genre or people who want to start reading Sci Fi but are uneasy about books being dry and technical or difficult to understand. The pacing is quick and light, while retaining a great balance of humor and situational stress. I recommend listening to the Audiobook reading by Ray Porter on Audible. His accents and voice work for the characters are wonderful. Notes: A wonderful little book, one I'm glad to have as my first review. More in depth review below. Spoilers Ahead.

Star Review Deep Breakdown: Characters: Ryland: Ryland is smart and funny. I adore how he tries to problem solve using the scientific method. It is a wonderful little quirk of character that I don't see too often. I think it was a very good choice to have Ryland be a school teacher, it helps to explain some of the scientific information into something that the reader can easily understand. He has a heart of gold and a good sense of humor that helped keep up the mood of the book, despite everything that happens. Rocky: There is so much I can say on Rocky. But most of all, I love him. He is such a unique concept for an alien. I do like how he isn't a scientist like Ryland, it lets the two characters bounce off one another in very fun and humorous ways. I do like how Rocky has a relatively standard level of intelligence, better at some but not all things. I see a lot of aliens in Sci Fi media being portrayed as either super intelligent or as horror movie monsters, so it was refreshing to see an alien who is a very well balanced foil for the human protagonist. It is also explained very well why the alien race has such different levels of intelligence. Worldbuilding: As said before, the way the author wrote helped keep the space ship from seeming too tight or claustrophobic. The world seemed realistic with the science behind how the world might react if the sun where to slowly be eaten. I like how all of the science seemed reasonable and believable and not super far flung future. There are a few bits such as the coma gene, amnesia drug, and how fast Ryland and Rocky learned each others languages, that sort of rocked my belief but it wasn't enough to take me out of the story. It was easy to just brush past it to get to the good bits. I do like how it was set in relatively modern times and not super future. Plot: I love the plot. It is super captivating and never seemed boring. I like how the memories were progressing semi linearly. It lead up to a very good climax with a mix of smaller climaxes that kept me constantly wanting to hear more. Pacing: I like how in the first few chapters we are learning everything alongside Ryland. It was very fun to be learning and realizing things as he was. The pacing was similar to a light jog, nice and quick without dragging or seeming as if it was skipping over bits. Writing: I like the authors voice and will for sure be looking for more of his future work. The writing had just the right amount of science and details to paint a wonderful minds eye picture, while also not being bogged down with extra science just for the sake of it. I liked how accessible the science felt to understand. I could follow along with how reasonable everything sounded and it helped keep me engaged. Other Notes: Absolute banger of a book. Ive already listened to it twice while at work and I cant stop thinking about it. This is a book that I know will stick with me. It will 100% be on my 2024 top 10 list. How many works do you have on ao3?

203 apparently! which is like, a lot but also doesn't feel like that many for how long I've been posting now

what’s your total ao3 word count?

1,060,055, and I'm still SUPER proud of hitting a million words. don't think I'm ever gonna write as much again as I did in 2022 (how did I write almost 400k in a year????) but apparently I'm over 100k for this year so. happy with that even though I haven't written nearly as much as I'd like due to like, general life stuff

What fandoms do you write for?

just second doctor era dr who! I definitely get like, story ideas for other fandoms I enjoy, and occasionally I'll idly imagine writing some of them, but never really seriously. I've kinda made an active choice for this to be my niche and I don't seem to have run out of ideas yet so

What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending

oughfkdjg this is tough. I do think if only we could have been brave on time was pretty angsty, I don't usually write fics that toy so much with major character death.

there's a few others but the first one that jumped out at me while scrolling through my fics was i'm trying to reach you (before all the ghosts do). minor character/oc death this time but like. the whole fic was very much born out of the image of its angsty ending, so.

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

hm I mean I do write a lot of angstless fluff!! so like, any of those. but I'm gonna go with litany for a reunion, because so much of it is angsty that I think the ending seems happier because of it.

Do you get hate on fics?

not yet! but this fandom is pretty chill so.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I am very very sex-repulsed ace it would not be a good time for anybody <3

Do you write crossovers?

not in the sense of like, bringing characters from one fandom into another. if I had the stamina/confidence to do proper longfics I'd absolutely do more aus, some of which are inspired by other media (if you guys could see the fairytale aus that live in my head.), and I /do/ have a daemon au.

the only crossover I've really done is Lifeboat, which is like. still a concept I enjoy. ark/its lore is something so close to my heart, so it was a lot of fun to fuse it with dr who. plus I just like imagining that victoria's dad was surrounded by so so so many unhinged mad scientists. & I also find it very very very funny that the ark character in question is now voiced by david tennant

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

not that I'm aware of! again like. small and chill fandom. who's going to be doing that.

yes!

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

no, and I don't think I'd want to - I'm a little bit too precious/sensitive about my writing to even have like, a beta reader or anything. I don't think I'd do well trying to co-write with someone. the closest I've come is kind of co-plotting out fics with other people (the plot of the selkie au is as much @ettelwenailinon's brainchild as mine <333)

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

I have been so deeply invested in two/jamie for so long that I can no longer untangle it from myself.

What’s a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

the fic I want to write most is a super comprehensive multichapter spanning about two years between jamie getting dropped off at culloden after the war games and two coming to pick him up again for 6b. I have a general sweep of the arc, some summary notes, and pages and pages of historical notes for it. unfortunately I don't think I'm ever going to feel like I've done enough historical research to justify writing it, even if I do somehow magically get myself to buck up into writing proper longfic.

What are your writing strengths?

hm idk! I'm quite pleased with some of my prose/descriptions sometimes. & I've had a few comments over the years saying I'm good at characterisation, which is always nice to hear.

I never really know what's good about my writing tho. not out of any sense of inferiority or false modesty or anything, I just. don't think that deeply about writing in general. the words come out & if I like them I like them

What are your writing weaknesses?

^^^ as I am always saying I wish I could break down the mental block that's stopping me from writing longfic

kinda related but like. I'm definitely a perfectionist and that can paralyse me sometimes when I'm trying to write a first draft.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I need to do it more often!!

my absolute dream would be to be able to translate all my fics into gàidhlig tbh. but I love love love giving jamie gàidhlig dialogue, or even just dropping little turns of phrase into his english dialogue, stuff like that. I definitely feel like there's some space between how I write/characterise jamie and how he is on screen, but to some degree that's a conscious decision. I'm always trying to strike a balance between like, writing him in character and writing him in a way that feels authentic to his time and cultural background. but dropping in bits of gàidhlig is a fun way of doing that (and also of getting myself to write in the language which is definitely good practice)

First fandom you wrote for?

hm I mean technically ig it was the saddle club. I was like 3 years old and I wrote a 'book' about the horses.

in terms of like, actively writing fic with the conscious knowledge of what fic was, probably fic about warrior cats ocs when I was about 11/12.

Favorite fic you’ve written?

old ghost's waltz, always. I loved how it came together, it was my first real dip into doing super historical jamie fic & a sort of replacement for the post-war games longfic I may never write, and it was a response to the phantom piper, which drives me absolutely insane in both good and bad ways. like it gave me so many ideas but god I could fix her.

unsorted is a very solid second though. it had all the historical fic joy of old ghost's waltz (even more so in some parts - the scene with jamie and connie might be my favourite scene I've ever written), and it was just. so cathartic to write as an expression of a headcanon I'd kind of hidden for so many years bc I was worried it wouldn't be well-received. it's my favourite fic to get comments on just because it always feels like a relief to see people enjoying it.

Wow, am I finally getting to this show? The last episode comes out in a week so this is perfect timing for me technically. I'm still pretty caught up on Beyond Evil and Lee Dongshik/Han Joo Won but I believe the show can hold my attention still.

I've seen so many gifsets of this and clips and GeminiFourth tweets/tiktoks as well and it's all been soooo adorable, so I'm expecting to really like this.

Very good last episode. Gave us some angst and tied up some loose ends in the first half. Made me sooo giddy in the second half.

Overall:

I really liked it, especially for what it was: a cute, endearing high school BL with really endearing leads and good acting and sometimes turning tropes on their head.

I didn't love it or obsess over it the way some people seemed to but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I also loved so many of their faces lol Fourth and Prom my favourite beautiful faces but Gemini and Satang are beautiful too, not to mention Gun's mother whew!

This made me giddy and the OSTs are great and there's clear effort from the cast and crew. I liked the dynamic between the characters, whether it be how Gun and Tinn took turns being bold and shy or the parent-child relationships or Chinzhilla band. I might increase the rating by 0.5 if the characters continue giving me brainrot.

Fave Ep: Probably Ep 3

I guess he was 17/18 during the final filming and so was probably 16/17 during the trailer but he looks more than just a year younger - aw child

2. do they like each other's friends? do their friends like them?

neither Vince nor Ragan really get to meet each other's friends and if they do, it's not often for a long time. both Vince and Ragan are from two very different worlds thus they have completely different assortment of friends.

Vincent's inner circle of friends is rather small, and most are not friends with each other or are fond of one another. those with whom he has more of a professional relationship — Dino and Jefferson — don't really give a shit about his private intimate life; it's not their business hence why they're neutral towards Ragan - if they even know of him. Reginald — Vince's ripper and an old friend from the army — ain't too fond of Ray and their relationship in general; he fails to see the good in him and only recognizes how much pain Vincent went through because of him. he thinks he makes Vincent too soft which will end up killing him in the long run. he does nothing however to ruin their relationships, but doesn't fail to voice his doubts.

when it comes to Ray's friends Vincent is pretty neutral, a bit guarded though. he doesn't have anything bad to say about them but he doesn't make an effort to be super friendly with them or get to know them more. they're a part of Ray's clan and he treats them as such, helps if needed around the camp, drink a beer or two when Ray isn't around; crack a joke maybe, but in the end he doesn't really care. if Ray likes them, Vince will make sure to be nice towards them.

Ragan generally likes Vince's friends, although he has to admit Vince's choice in friends is rather questionable. his old pals or work friends make him a bit uneasy and he personally wouldn't be too thrilled to be around them alone. they just don't match Ray's vibe - too cold, too rude, too city-like. they haven't done anything to Ray for him to have a bad opinion about them, so he doesn't really have much to say about Vince's friends.

Ragan's friends are really confused and feel conflicted about Vince. they're a bit scared of him in fact, intimidated for sure. they look at their relationship with a dose of skepticism, but eventually manage to warm up to Vincent and treat him as equal.

4. how do they compare to each other's exes? are they the same "type" or an upgrade/something different?

after they separated in 2038 Vince had a few flings after he came back from the army, lots of one-night-stands, and one more serious relationship of 5 years with a rockstar, which eventually ended up in a mutual break up. Vince's type are rockerboys and nomads, so neither were really an upgrade nor downgrade, both were just from two different worlds, with two different backgrounds. Vince never really got over Ray, and while he did love Kerry when they were together it jus wasn't the same type of love Vincent had and has for Ragan. neither relationship was better or worse; both had some bad moments, but with Kerry Vince and him wanted different things from each other, and Kerry had a tendency to try and mold Vince into someone he wasn't. meanwhile Ragan doesn't try to change Vince while still calling him out on his bullshit. he accepts all the imperfections about him and who he is on the outside and the inside.

after Ragan got stood up by Vince he threw away all his feelings for him - or at least he tried - and started sleeping and dating around with whoever he pleased, trying to fill the hole in his heart left after Vincent. when he met Dante - leader of a clan he later joined after being on his own for over 2 years, he thought he finally found someone he can start something meaningful with. Dante was a really great friend, warm and funny, outgoing and loud - with him Ray didn't really have time or space to think about Vincent and dwell of what could've been. while Dante had so many green flags and seemed like a perfect guy he was a bit too perfect for Ray. many people would consider Dante an upgrade when comparing him to Vince, but Ragan thinks otherwise, and when Vincent eventually came crawling back it didn't take much for Ragan to take him back - his unpolished, uncut, rough diamond.

Did you ever finish Shinrai Broken Beyond Despair? The game you streamed a couple years ago. If you did, any thoughts?

i did finish the game, i'll copy-paste my steam review because i haven't really given SHINRAI any more thoughts since going through it:

When I first bought the game and started it up, I thought my veteran experience with Danganronpa titles and the fact I completed Danganronpa v3 without a walkthrough, alongside lackluster presentation, meant that I'd be easily able to predict how the story turned out. (spoiler: i was way off)

I will start off with listing the dealkillers that might make people think twice before buying the game. The art can be pretty ugly at times, and in the case of [spoiler], incredibly graphic for the style. Like, uncomfortably so. It's not bad, but coming straight off the heels of Danganronpa (and there will be frequent comparisons to Danganronpa), and often being recommended alongside it, it can make it feel a little inferior. The storytelling, especially in the prologue and first chapter while trying to introduce everybody but still pretty rife throughout the entire thing, suffers from a severe case of tell-don't-show; what I mean is, rather than showing us certain character traits, the writing will simply list those character traits. "This character is my best friend. She has always been there for me. Blah blah blah." "This character is a pervert who studies foreign languages." (This one done after it was already SHOWN he was a pervert studying foreign languages, mind you) It doesn't weave exposition naturally into the narrative, even though I noticed several instances where it could have done so. If you're right on the heels like Danganronpa like I was, don't expect Chapter 5 to hold your hand. If you expect the game to spell everything out for you like Danganronpa does - and this is both a good and bad trait in my opinion -prepare for some bad endings. There's an achievement for saving [spoiler], but this character really doesn't provide much motive for saving them. They're really not that likeable, so there's not much incentive except for steam achievements.

Now onto positives: The writing is pretty good when it avoids telling us things rather than showing us. Of course, that's usually when it's trying to mislead you, such as [spoiler]. It's reminiscent of old campy horror movies translated to the visual novel genre, and it provides an interesting if somewhat familiar plot. Standard horror cliches are given some chance to be reinvented and used in a way that aids the mystery part. Like I said, when it's not rattling stuff off to be exposition-y, it's actually really solid writing. The mystery itself had a surprising conclusion and I did get nearly every possible road to the Bad End before I had to go look up what the answer was. For the level of writing we were getting during exposition dumps, the fact the mystery turned out so well-written is pretty surprising, and it is getting me to think about my own mystery writing as well as the earlier Danganronpa titles. Openly queer characters was a refresher, and in proportion to reality was excellent, too. Being LGBT+ myself, seeing characters openly admit it is always good in my books, so long as they're characters first. Thankfully, [spoiler] are. The music isn't as good or memorable as Danganronpa, but it's still pleasant to listen to. As in you won't be reaching to mute the soundtrack (though if you'd prefer to play Danganronpa music over the top, the options luckily allow you to turn down off the music without turning down the sound effects). Mika. Just Mika. Not waifu material, being 14-15 years old (can't remember which) but definitely best girl. Adorable, funny, and the only one without some connection to the events or main character. She's here for the memes and the ride and that makes her the best.

In my opinion: this game does deserve voice acting. On my channel I spent 9 hours playing this game, and I damn near wore my voice out trying to provide even lackluster casting. I'd offer my services if the game ever wants to have voice acting, but like I said, my voice acting is very lackluster.

Getting to the point: Should you buy the game?

In my opinion? Yes. There's enough here to make it well worth your while. I paid $1/hr for the experiences the game gave me, and I've spent more on experiences that don't last anywhere near as long. It is the poor man's Danganronpa, but it's not bad for the poor man's Danganronpa.

“Hey, baby,” he murmured, voice taking on a cadence that gave Mitchell the sudden sense of invading a sacred moment. “I’m fine, okay?”

Strand stubbornly shook his head, reaching for some gauze to cover the cuts on Carlos’ hand with. Her partner let him without pressing the matter any further, but the moment Strand was done, he caught his hand and moved it to his own neck. Confused by that action, Mitchell needed a second to understand.

When she did, her eyes went wide.

Strand was shaking, his fingers digging into the side of Carlos’ neck – right over his pulse. The longer his fingers were there, obviously feeling the life pulsating through Carlos’ veins, the calmer he seemed to become – at least the shaking started to subside. Mitchell wouldn’t have been able to tell anyone how long they all stayed where they were – but her partner never wavered, never pulled away or looked even remotely inconvenienced. He just sat there, silently, patiently, the thumb of his good hand brushing along Strand’s hip while his bandaged one rested over the hand still on his neck.

From A Reyes Family Tradition:

“Can someone please explain what I did wrong?”

He hated how desperate TK sounded but all Carlos could do in reply was to let out a watery laugh, too busy trying to hold it together to answer. Thankfully, Mar did it for him.

“You did nothing wrong, TK. It’s just… There's a tradition in the Reyes family. A very important, very old tradition. La elección del árbol de Navidad, or The picking of the Christmas Tree. We don’t even know when or where it began but we know that every generation follows this tradition.”

“Okay?” TK replied with an obvious question, eyes flicking back to Carlos every now and then before they landed on Matías as the man picked up the explanation.

“Every year, it’s the patriarch’s duty and honor to pick the Christmas tree and – aside from immediate family – only certain other people are allowed to go with him.”

“Who?”

Carlos could see his family look between each other, smiles wide, obviously trying to decide who would be the one to finally give it away.

It was Maribel who claimed the right for herself.

“Only future spouses of his children.”

(To look these up I had to open these fics of yours & now they're in an open tab on my phone & I know that I'm going to end up re-reading them. Again.)

okay, so the question was:

18. Choose a passage from your writing. Tell me about the backstory of this moment. How you came up with it, how it changed from start to end. Spicy addition: Questioner provides the passage.

Okay, let me start by reiterating that no two fics happen the same for me - some are a battle and get reworked a hundred times while others just flow and I can basically post the first draft (after minor corrections made by my dear beta). Funny enough, you picked two scenes that show both extremes.

A Love Like Theirs

For those that haven't read the fic, it's a 5+1 Outsider POV fic - so 5 times their friends witness the love between Tarlos and the +1 being a stranger. I didn't write the parts in a linear order, mostly because it all started with another fic idea, only for me to realize that I could expand it to this 5+1 idea. So the Nancy-part was the first one started, then came the Paul- and Mateo-parts, then the stranger-part, quickly followed by the Mitchell-part, then I tackled the Nancy-part to fit the story, and lastly, the Marjan-part.

That being said, this passage is from Mitchell's POV, witnessing TK taking care of Carlos after Carlos got hurt. Aaaaand I wrote that segment in one go, from start to end, no stops, no switching around. All my beta did in this section was to point out some grammar mistakes, and I think she corrected a few sentences to make them flow better (yeah, I'm not a native speaker, lol). Other than that, the Mitchell-part - and especially this chosen passage - basically made it to ao3 in as close to the draft-version as it gets.

Not plot-wise... as I said, it started from the Nancy part and became this idea of a 5+1 fic, 5 friends, 1 stranger. It was quickly clear that I wanted the stranger to be the shop clerk where they buy their rings. Paul, Nancy, and Marjan were a given for the friends, which left Mateo, Judd, and Mitchell. Mitchell made the list first, because I wanted at least one person to be "from Carlos' side", and then I came up with the idea for the Mateo-part and he simply fit it better than Judd.

I've always wanted to write scenes where TK has to patch Carlos up on scene, and I still have some planned - but here, it fit perfectly. So I went with it. I also really wanted to show how someone changes their view of these two. All the other friends know how deep their love is, they just get private glances into just how deep. But Mitchell still remembers the break-up and I thought it logical that she hadn't forgiven TK so quickly because she didn't see him suffering as well. So, it was easy to put these things together...

A Reyes Family Tradition

Oh God, this story is so dear to me for a reason I don't even know myself - and it was definitely a battle with this fic! I've stopped it and started over and over again; I even set it aside for a few months. I just couldn't get it right! And I wanted to get it right, especially this chosen passage, because it's the big revelation, and I just couldn't get the vision I had onto paper. I'm still not sure I fully did, but at one point, I knew it was the best I could do. My beta also had her hand full with the whole story, lol. So yeah, this one here was definitely a battle.

Plot-wise, the idea for the tradition came first. I feel like the Reyes family is definitely a traditional one, so I can see them having lots and lots of traditions such as this. The next thing that came to mind was the picture of the whole family just being utterly shocked and stunned to silence before all hell breaks loose and everyone is squealing - and TK is just confused as to what just happened, while Carlos is close to happy tears. So yeah, the passage you picked is exactly the scene I envisioned first.

Everything that comes after was far easier to write because I hadn't envisioned it so often, so I could basically just go with the flow again, lol.

Licensed Game Review #2: Disney/Pixar's A Bug's Life

Year released: 1998

Developer: Traveler's Tales

Console: PlayStation (played on PlayStation 3)

Funny story: when I started playing this game, I turned off the sound effects in order to complete level 4 because Flik just wouldn't shut up. I turned it back on after I finished level 5 and there turned out to be an in game cutscene. I kept the voices at a lower volume than the music and that compromise made the game a lot more pleasant, and less awkward with Flik shouting "Oh yeah!" every time you press a button.

So on that note, I'll start with the sound design: it's definitely one of the weaker points of the game. Flik talks too much in the game, and while sometimes it's helpful to figure things out, other times it's really not necessary, especially in level 4. Spamming commentary such as "Are we there yet?!" really feels like a sorry attempt to portray Flik as a Mascot With Attitude (then again, the cover also gives off this vibe so I think it's intended).

Another point that I would consider weak, but not necessarily a negative is that the first 4 levels are actual cakewalk if you're not a completionist. I suppose I could have searched for the collectives in those levels to give myself more of a challenge. However, when you get to the city, the game really starts to pick up. If you're gonna be playing it too, please don't judge it by the first 4 levels.

The biggest problem with the game is the camera. The Emperor's New Groove had camera issues too, but makes up for it in that you can use the analog stick to adjust it. You can't in A Bug's Life. I kept pressing the left trigger to refocus the camera instead. Even then, the camera overall is poorly done, but of course, that was the norm for 3D platformers in '98, huh?

One more nitpick, more like complaint, that I have is the lack of a "continue?" screen. Instead, it has a game over screen, meaning that if you run out of lives, you have to skip the logos and reload the game. As you can imagine, it got very tedious to die.

Yet, I enjoyed this game. If that's so, why has most of this review been bashing it? Well, first point is one that I'm starting to see in all these Disney games is outstanding presentation. It doesn't invoke the same geekiness I get over The Emperor's New Groove's legitimately perfect presentation, but it's still fun and does the A Bug's Life movie justice.

Another great point about the game is the seed system. I haven't seen anything like it in other games that I've played and really enhanced the puzzle aspect of it. It's really satisfying to use and feels elaborate in a really fun way.

And additionally, I'm a sucker for 3D platformers, so that alone made the game fun for me. One thing I have noticed about Disney games in the '90s is that the 2D movies have 2D platformers* and the 3D movies have 3D platformers. It's a neat detail that perfectly reflects the times.

*Except for Tarzan, which got a 2.5D platformer, which is still perfectly fitting for that the movie was made using the Deep Canvas method (for those unaware, it was essentially a method that put 2D characters in 2D-looking 3D environments. This was applied to scenes such as the rotating effect when Jane meets the gorillas or any tree-surfing scene). Speaking of Tarzan, I'm playing that one right now.

Verdict: Despite some annoying flaws (that are ultimately a product of their time), still an enjoyable game that I recommend to fans of the movie and licensed games.

Also, you might have noticed that I changed the name of these reviews, and that is simply because I will be playing more than just Disney games.

Hi Tumblr! it's been a while since I have even thought about this page, let alone ever said anything on the page itself.

the reason for my come back is because recently, I have been struggling with my mental health. I have found a way that makes me feel a-little better is posting about it. I have started a mood journal with MoodPanda, but it puts a cap on how many words I can type. and for some reason or another I thought,"hm..whats a good place I can post and not a lot of people know who I am or really judge me?" and BAM! I remembered I had a Tumblr.

I usually don't like sharing my personal life, specifically when it comes to my health, mostly because I am the friend that fixes everything and makes all my other friends feel better. but I need to allow myself this kind of..I guess "structure" to help release and cope with some things that are harming me in the long run.

I will start with a brief run down of how 2022 started:

I was engaged to a man that I shall name..Kevin. Kevin and I were high school sweethearts. when we first met, he stopped my worlds and I stopped his. and it was us against the world. I slowly started to see that he could do no wrong, but with that, I started to ignore all of his clear and blatant red flags. we were together 5 years, and throughout that time I was cheated on 3 times(2022 being the last and final straw), lied too, and manipulated into things that I wouldn't have done if I never met him. with that being said, I will not lie to you, he was a good man and I do wish him well in all he does and everything he does in his life. there wasn't anything that I could say I wouldn't change. because we were young and didn't know any better at the end of the day. BUT, this is when it all goes to shit. in the beginning of 2022, our relationship was falling apart, he wanted nothing more to do with me, and we called it quits( I am leaving out a lot of details because this might get its own post due to how things ended and how traumatic it was for not just me, but him as well from my stand point). I hoed around for a while, and tried to fix myself and work on myself to the best of my ability.

until I met my present day significant other, whom I will call Elliot. Elliot in all ways, is my ideal man. he's sweet, passionate, patient, calm, funny, loving, emotionally available, and so much more. but he and I are quite different to a certain degree. we get along a lot of the time, but our arguments, can be a lot and very brutal. recently, my mental health has taken a big turn.(he has worked so much with me on my mental health and helped me so much with progressively getting better with not just myself, but my emotional traumas) its gotten to the point, where I have really good days and then I have really bad days. and that in itself is not just a lot for me, but him as well. I don't think its fair to him, and I commend him for staying with me throughout those times. but Its hard needless to say. Elliot and I have worked so hard, and I feel like I am not doing right by him.

recently, we had a fight, and it was just a big miscommunication on both parts, and that's under stable, but I also just want him to see the principal of why I'm upset and hurt. I want him to understand that its not just about the issue at hand. its also communication, and the effort that we as a couple have to deal with each other in times, where we don't want to, and you have to be able to voice that. while I was making my point and cases, he got frustrated and said that the whole argument was stupid, and not an issue. I felt very invalided at that point. mostly because I felt like it wasn't stupid, I felt how I felt wasn't stupid nor a waste of time. I just wanted to voice how I felt and why I felt the way I did. I don't feel safe saying things to him right now. I just left the conversation alone and haven't said anything yet.

during the fight, I did apologize, but I just wanted to be heard, and for him to understand my point. just as I always try to hear and understand his point. I don't know. I try not to wrap my relationship pinto my friendship, but I confided in my friends, and they said neither one of us was wrong, and that it wasn't either one of us who was in the wrong. we just Both needed to take a step back and talk to each other and listen. but how can I do that when he isn't listening to me. he's just responding to it and trying to prove his point.

I don't know. I just want to get high at this point and forget this conversation even happened.

Summary: After four years of being together and finally being engaged, Chris wants you to sign a prenup.

As soon as you heard that, you slam the door in his face.

"Y/N, what the hell? Open the door. What are you doin'?"

"No, I'm not opening the door. How are you gonna finally see me and knowing I'm upset with you, greet me with "hi baby"? You fuss at him through the door.

"I'm sorry okay! Can you please open the door? We need to talk."

"Don't raise your voice at me. You're only making it worse for yourself." You shift your weight on the other foot folding your arms. "I can do this all day."

"Come on babe, I'm serious." So were you.

"If I open this door, you better act like you have some sense."

"Alright, alright. Just open the door please."

You hesitantly walk over and open the door seeing him stand in the same position. Your face is torn up and you wrinkle it more when your eyes land on him. Although you won't admit it, a tiny part of you are glad to see him. Just a tiny part.

"Can I come in?" He looks at you and tilts his head sassily.

"Cut the attitude Christopher." You walk away towards the bed signaling he could enter.

"We're not gonna get anything solved with you acting like this" he huffs, slamming the door.

"How do you expect me to act? We wouldn't have anything to solve if you hadn't done all this. All this time you had to think and you still can't get that through your mind."

"I still don't see why you're making such a big deal. This is protecting us both. I don't touch your money, mine doesn't get touched either."

You almost slap him.

"Chris, that's if we were to divorce. We haven't even gotten married and you're already thinking about divorce?" What the fuck is wrong with him?

"You always say to be extra cautious and careful. That's what I'm doing. Megan thinks it's a good idea and when is she ever wrong?"

"You know what's sad Chris? Megan is such a bitch and you can't see it. She literally tries to dictate every little thing you do. She's your publicist, not your wife. You talk about how you love your freedom and independence, which I give to you, but when it comes to her, whatever she says goes."

His hands are rubbing his face, like usual, when he's in a predicament. He's not saying anything, which makes you even more upset, but you continue anyway.

"I truly don't think you understand how you're being right now. You're letting someone else dictate our relationship. You don't even talk to me about it, so I'm sitting on the sidelines watching you play the game. It's clear in itself that you are still not ready to be in a relationship. How? I don't know. You had fucking 4 years."

"Its not that easy, okay? You know how all my past relationships have gone. Somehow I was still being used for everything. Whether it was money, publicity or whatever. You don't get it."

You sigh and run a hand over your forehead. It's obvious you aren't going to get anywhere with this, so what was the point of him even coming here? Hold on.

"How the hell did you even find me? I haven't talked to you all day." He looks up and at the wall, bouncing his leg nervously in the chair he was seated in.

"You had your location on and I drove over here." You roll your eyes and this upsets him. "You freaking left without telling anyone where you were! You could've been hurt. Or even worse."

"I told your momma I was fine." He scoffs.

"You've got to be kidding. You just have to be."

You've had it up to here with this man. Clearly nothing was going to get resolved and both of you are stubborn about it, so you want him gone right away.

"Chris just go. You're wasting time. I told you to come in here with some sense, but you must've left the little that you had at the door."

"You're my future wife. I'm not leaving you. We need to work this out." Haha. That's funny.

"Well according to you, I'm most likely going to be your future ex wife." Okay you were being dramatic but whatever. "Let me help you understand. After 4 years of a relationship, you propose to me. Then you get a prenup behind my back by the advisory of your hating ass publicist. You signed it without even letting me know you had one. Do you not see the issue at hand here?"

You deadpan him for his reaction. You needed some form of indication that he gets what you're saying. That he realizes he's being a dick.

"I mean...I guess? I just didn't think you'd be so bothered. If we never get a divorce then it's fine. The prenup won't matter." He sits up in his chair and looks at you what looks like to be genuine confusion on his face.

Why do you even bother?

"Yes it would matter. Because it will forever be there. And in the back of my mind, I will always feel you picked your money over me." All his confusion washes away at this and is replaced with realization and guilt. "You know me better than most of my own family does. And you know what my intentions are with you. None of them require money. If you didn't have money like you did, I still would be with you Chris. Why? Because I love you."

There's a silence.

"I honestly don't know what to say." And you could tell. Any words he wanted to speak barely got through transformation because he would just clamp his mouth shut.

"Chris I just want to be alone right now, okay? I really don't need this at the moment." Yeah, the fact that you're pregnant. And he still doesn't know. You thought about telling him, but now you want to hold it off being that this didn't go as planned.

"Babe-"

"Chris please. Just do this for me. It's the least you can do." You sit on the bed and cross your legs. You were in a bind that didn't seem to be letting up any time soon.

"Well it was a long drive and I have to use the bathroom." You swat your hand to the restroom for him to go. Anything to get him moving faster. He walks in and shuts the door behind him. Meanwhile, you grab your phone and contemplate whether you should turn your location off. If you kept it on, at least they would know where you were and that you were safe. But you don't want him back here.

After 4-5 minutes or so, you didn't hear the toilet flush and you wonder what he's doing in there.

"Chris what the hell is taking you so long?" The door clicks open and you look, only to see Chris standing in the frame with a pregnancy test in hand.

He has your positive pregnancy test.

You forgot you left them on the sink counter. Fucking idiot. You internally start freaking out and you jump out the bed. He spots you and stares at you. Knowing him for so long, you had never seen this look o his face before. Turns out, it was a look of betrayal. Why would he feel betrayed?

"You're pregnant." His voice is monotonous and his eyes don't leave yours for a second.

You on the other hand, are darting your attention around the room, looking anywhere but at him. You feel a sense of guilt. Probably because you weren't telling him and he had to find out like this.

"Yes- yes I am pregnant" you speak lowly, fiddling with the end of your shirt.

"And its mine right?" That made you mad.

"Of course it is! How the hell could you ask me that?"

"Well I don't know how to fucking feel! You were just gonna let me walk out of here without telling me you're pregnant with my baby!?" Now he's out the bathroom and a few feet away from you.

"I don't owe anything to you right now. I would've told you eventually. When I was ready." He goes silent.

"Are you going to keep it?" This time his voice is meek and lower than his normal tone. You look up and his face is pained. He is all for 'my body my choice' and completely supports that, but he'd be lying if he said that the thought of you, ya know, wouldn't hurt him.

"Yes I am keeping the baby." He let's out a huge breath.

Even though you couldn't have been more than 5 weeks, you had already felt like a bond was formed with your baby. And knowing Chris has wanted kids since forever, you couldn't take that away.

"Well I'm happy." But you still weren't all the way there yet. You didn't forget what had just happen.

"You still need to leave." The little smile on his face had vanished and he looked down.

"Are you gonna come back?" He was making it slightly difficult to keep the same hardness with him. You still loved that man, even through all your anger you have with him.

"I will, just not right now. Or not today at least. I still need to think. I'll be back home eventually." As you're speaking he sets the test back in the bathroom and stuffs his hands in his pockets.

"Well I guess that's better than nothing", he replies still visibly upset. "I guess I'll just head out now." He walks towards the door and hooks his hand on the knob. You quick get up and to your own surprise, you wrap your arms around him.

He's stiff for a few moments, which makes complete sense, but hugs back. You take in his scent and you almost give in. You hadn't smelt him in a while and it drove you crazy. You pull away and adjust your shirt. He looks at you one more time.

"I love you Y/N." You nod your head and he leaves the room.

"I love you too Christopher."

But he couldn't hear you because he was already half way down the hall, thinking about how he was going to make this right.

The birds chirped outside of the window of the cottage as you opened your eyes. It was around 6am and you got to Italy last night.

Right After the bath, you got them dressed. You put them in Matching rompers harry got for them. When they were dressed all of you went outside to enjoy the italian sunshine.

Isabella and Amelia ran after each other giggling, trying to tag one another. You sat in a lawn chair with a book In your hand. Harry sat beside you, out the Corner of your eyes you can see him looking at you out the corner of your eyes. He was smiling making you smile as well. You turned your head and looked at him.

"why are you so smiley?" You asked him. Harry sat up and smoothed his shirt out. "Well... Ya'look so beautiful today in your beautiful sun dress and that view behind you."

You turned your head and looked at the hills before turning back to harry. "Thank you. You look amazing too."

Harry softly smirked. Isabella came over to you, interrupting you and harry. "Mamma can we get lemons and make lemonwade?"

You looked down at your youngest. "Well, I think that's a good idea, right daddy?" You turned to harry.

"definitely a good idea." Isabella jumped up and down on her tippy toes as you both agreed to pick lemons. "I'm going to go get a basket so we can put them in, don't pick them without me." Harry ran inside leaving you with the girls. "Mommy, I love this place."

Isabella said doing a twirl. You dryly laughed. "I love this place too. You know we're going to come here every summer for vacation."

"even if daddy is working away?" Amelia asked climbing into the Chair. As you opened your mouth to answer "you don't know, harry answered for you.

"I would never miss our summer vacations t'italy, not for the world. I love this place and love spendin' time with my favorite girls, nothing is going to change that. So don't worry about me being away ok?"

"ok daddy. I won't worry." Harry showed off his dimples by smiling at her. "Ok. Now should we pick those lemons?" He waved the basket around making sure you all knew you had it.

"yeah, come on."

Amelia took isabella's hand before skipping to the lemon trees at end of your property. You smiled as you watched them try and jump to get the lemons.

"you know I think I would like another girl." You turned to him fast.. "what?" "I said I'll like another girl."

You inhaled. "Well um I'll think about it, but there's no guarantee." You walked away from him, a smile on your face. Harry couldn't prevent the small from growing on his face. He knew there was a guarantee it could happen, I mean both girls were made there.
