I know it’s a common hc that percy loves the little mermaid and I do think that’s true but I think he likes ponyo more.

My reasons are as follows

1. Sōsuke’s relationship with his mom

They love eachother so muuuccchh, and they want to protect and take care each other, and while it is different, and does have a dad that’s kind of present he’s still at sea for the entire movie so it’s Lisa that has to be there sōsuke, operating in someways as a single mom. She is patient and brave and incredibly kind (all traits sōsuke got from her) and i think percy could help but think of his mom. ( especially when he thinks his mom died/ is gone it would strike a cord in him particularly after tlt)

2. Environmentalist message/ undertones

I feel like particularly after tbotl and pan and as he talks more to more naiads he would appreciate the commentary on pollution in the ocean

3. It’s studio ghibli

I haven't seen Rise fo Red yet, and I'm gonna be so fr I don't think I'm ever going to see it, but I DID just watch Alex Meyers' video about it and I find it so funny that there's ANOTHER cash grabby Disney sequel that features Ursula's previously unmentioned crazy sister as an antagonist. It's insane that that's happened twice.

Twitter and Tumblr about completely changing Ariel's ethnia and race in the live action adaptation : "die mad, fiction is fiction, and her origins don't matter in the storyline anyway, who cares where Ariel is from as long as she sings ? So I watched The Little Mermaid (the original animated disney version) tonight for the heck of it. Been a while since I've sat down and watched the whole thing in a single sitting.

Afterwards I was like, hmm Eric's voice sorta sounded familar, but I'm not sure if I'm just thinking of this movie or if he was in soemthign else familar

So I look up the movie, and find his voice actor then look at the other stuff he's done, theres not much I've actually seen that I'd recognize him from, so okay I was probably just thinking of this movie. (He also voiced prince charming in the Cinderella sequels, and was spiderman in the old cartoon)

Then I realized that The Little Mermaid 2 wasnt in his list of stuff.

So I look up the sequel to see who voiced Eric there. (As I'm scrolling through the list of actors, most of them came back to reprise their roles. Not sure why Eric's actor didnt. Anyway)

And so I get to Eric's voice actor and who is it?

Its hecking Rob Paulsen. Rob Paulsen who voiced Raphael in the tmnt 1987 cartoon, and Doantello in the 2012 cartoon!!!

(Bonus: One of the other few actors who replaced a voice in the sequel (Flouder's voice actor) was Cam Clarke, who voice Leonardo in the 1987 cartoon)

Having a stupid phobia is so fucking annoying. Yes I know it won't hurt me. It's common enough to run into often but silly enough that if I try to pre-warn people they'll laugh and try to trigger me. I don't mind answering questions but eventually I just end up repeating myself saying "I know it doesn't make sense. It's irrational. No logic will not help. It's irrational. I completely understand what you are saying and I even agree. However it is an irrational."

Hey, on the plus side, at least Keith actually ends up talking to Shiro when he starts suspecting that he might be half Galra. They both know that if he was 100% himself right now, he probably would not be doing that. This is a fact they are likely both keenly aware of during the discussion. Shiro encourages Keith to talk to the team about it, but ultimately makes sure he knows it's his decision.
