I wanted to make a post kinda compiling all my thoughts on what was announced today! First off feeling super hyped. I'm excited that we're adventuring off again after the events of endwalker, it'll be a much needed breath of fresh air. That trailer omg it was so good. Never seen one piece, but got such one piece vibes from it. The cgi for the scions and wol looked fantastic and the new areas look amazing. Very excited to see it's based of south america and hope they do it well.
Tumblr media
Can we just look at HOW GOOD HE LOOKS ♡♡♡
Tumblr media
A little bummed it is next summer, thought it would be beginning of next year but think it'll be worth the wait. Fingers crossed for early June/July.
Tumblr media
Now this scares me don't let me fight the twins or g'raha please ;-; but honestly looking forward to some kinda of conflict with the scions and what it'll be about exactly. And will this have long term effects?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The new areas look freaking STUNNING with the new graphical update. It was cute seeing how excited yoshi p was talking about the shadows and plants being updated xD
Tumblr media
SPEAKING OF THIS MAN WAS A TEASE ;-;-;-; But we all know yoshi doesn't wear a shirt without it having some kind of purpose so seen a few different theories. Based on the trailer we did see either the wol or somebody with a similar cloak holding a new weapon. Some people are thinking a corsair class which would be cool. And it could be a dual wielder with a pistol and a sword. If true that'll be a fun class. The two new classes were confirmed to be a melee and a caster (hell yes finally) But going back to the shirt it could be going many different directions. All the TMNT turtles are named after artists. So maybe some kind of Inkmage is what I seen most talked about. Or they are holding duel wielding weapons which could further confirm the corsair class. Whatever it is might see one of them at the EU fanfest in october.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Taking a break to admire the boys Erenville and G'raha Tia cause LOOK AT THEM ♡♡♡
Now probably the biggest thing this update is the graphical update and WOWW it seriously looks great so far.
Tumblr media
Left is updated right is current ingame The way it just looks so much brighter and colorful fdjhfv seriously can't wait. It's a much needed update and so far they still aren't done but next time we see it will be even better.
Tumblr media
Updated example of aura their horns look great so far not just a blob. There are some videos on youtube showing off just the updated graphical updates and it all looks stunning especially a certain flower field we're all quite familiar with. Now with this of course does come with updated system requirements not as bad as I thought I barley just meet the recommended but keep this in mind for Dawntrail. It makes me wonder if by 8.0 support for ps4 will stop entirely or they will just have a lower quality version for ps4. We'll have to see.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
NOW THIS THANK YOU FOR ALL THIS This is all stuff I know myself and so many players have been begging to be added into 14 and it's finally happening.
Really hoping for at least 100 slots for housing inside and maybe 20 for outside. It seriously will just give so much more freedom for housing peeps. Now of course we have standard stuff we come to expect -Level cap -New Dungeons -New Trials -8 Player Raids -Ultimate Raids -Alliance Raids -New Gear and Recipes -Fates -Hunts -Treasure Hunts -Side quests -PVP Updates
Tumblr media
P.S just love this little guy <3
But we also have what yoshi p said Expansive New Lifestyle Content so something like island but not. Super curious what they have in mind for that or what it even possibly could be? Now...the two things I would have NEVER and I mean NEVER guessed is this...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
FALL GUYS?!?! Not just a collab in fall guys as a full pass but a probably perma game mode in the gold saucer! I could not stop screaming crying laughing in vc with a friend. I'm still in shock this is even happening. Much less skins being in fall guys but a fall guys game mode in 14! Ngl tho it looks like a ton of fun and I hope it brings some more people to the gold saucer. Now they said in 7.0 gold saucer is getting an update which they said in 6.x that was gonna happen. Please let it be a bigger update this time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the second thing that surprised me was 14 is coming to xbox! Which is great bringing in new people to the game and honestly about time it's on xbox. Phil spencer also great to see him as awkward as ever :)
Tumblr media
Nothing needs to be said about this picture lol this was so funny to watch live Overall though extremally hyped for what this expansion is going to bring. I think it's going to bring such a fresh air from the doom and gloom endwalker brought and what I am hoping is just more content. Endwalker does feel a little lacking in content and I just want more and hopefully they can deliver.
I know and can understand people not super vibing with the more relax vacation this is showing off so far. But we still don't fully know what mysterious or problems we'll have so I'm quite optimistic of what they will bring here. Anyone reading this I'm curious what other people think and if you want leave a comment I wanna know :D

First Impressions, part 1
The Batch has been assigned a new teammate, much to their reluctance. It seems like the reason behind the deployment has left a sour taste in their mouths.
Read Part 2
Credit absolutely goes to @staycalmandhugaclone for this beautiful idea for Asha's proper introduction to our beloved Unit 99! This thing is absolutely gonna be a multi-parter.
Characters: TBB, OC (Asha Kurr)
Warnings: Not many – vague feelings of distrust and anxiety
Word count: 1,278
-----------------------------------------------
“...you can’t be serious,” Crosshair hissed.
“It says so right here: hand-picked by Rex himself,” Tech began, peering at his datapad, “for her exemplary service alongside various battalions both on and off the battlefield. Her credentials are sound. She’s shown skill.”
A pause, as he fixed his goggles.
“I at least see why she was chosen.”
“Why’s Echo even need a mechanic?” Wrecker piped up, with a curious tilt of his head. “We’ve been doin’ fine on our own, haven’t we? You fix ‘im up just fine, Tech!”
“While this is true, there are complexities about Echo’s condition that are perhaps befitting of a more specialized expert that–”
“Sh.”
Hunter’s quick hush made everyone stop, as the door to the barracks slid open and they all sat up. Just merely an hour ago, the unit had received an order that they were to be accommodating a new teammate – a mechanic, specifically a droid maintenance specialist. Even more specifically, somebody to help, for lack of a better term, take care of Echo. The uniqueness of his augments, the complexities they posed, had finally called for someone to be on-hand to help take care of any problems that may arise for his own quality of life.
Suffice to say, they were all quite reluctant at the idea.
The mechanic’s credentials had been forwarded to them, of course. She had everything you could possibly think of: military service, years of experience in droid repair and upkeep, with no small amount of work done in vehicles, computers, and weapons mechanics as well. She seemed to be a jack-of-all-trades in that regard. Apparently this one had been freelancing with the GAR for some years now, and had built a bit of a rapport with various battalions she had helped out in that time. Now, though, she was to take on a more long-standing assignment with Unit 99, to maintain and keep an eye on their resident cyborg and his mechanical augments.
None of them had seen Echo since they received the order.
Now, though, standing in the doorway was someone none of them inspected. She stood rather dumbfounded as she looked around at the four faces – four different faces – all boring holes straight through her. A togruta woman stood there, laden with tools and necessities, crimson skin a bit flushed in both exertion and embarrassment at the sudden, rapt attention she was getting. Gold stripes circled up her montrals and down her lekku, and judging by their size, she couldn’t have been anywhere beyond her mid-20s. She was just about as young as the rest of them. No one said a word for a few long, awkward moments – they just stared.
“...h-hello,” she finally spoke up, with a small wave of the hand. “My name is Asha. A-Asha Kurr. I’m… going to be working with you all from now on.”
As the door slid shut behind her, the first person to make any move was Crosshair. It was not a friendly move. The sharpshooter narrowed his gaze at Asha, stepping forward, and absolutely towered over her as he stared her down. Though lithe, he offered an imposing atmosphere that made Asha shrink back, sunset eyes meeting the tawny brown of his scrutinizing glare, and that flinch of hers made him scoff as he flicked his toothpick out and to her feet.
“Three rotations,” was all he said as he gave her what could only be a sneer, before brushing past her to head to his bunk and plunk himself down, occupying himself with cleaning his rifle. Asha blinked at the blunt words, and looked over to the others with a look that could only be asking for clarity.
“I, um–” she cleared her throat, “I’m here on orders, is all… I’m only here for one person, but- but I look forward to getting to know you all…!”
Hunter and Tech exchanged glances. He could hear the way her heart raced, and it betrayed her chipper demeanor. Anxiety spiked in her chest, made her tremble just barely. Hunter sighed, and shook his head.
“Good luck finding him,” he muttered. “Look, Ms. Kurr. You seem like a kind woman. So I’ll tell you this only once.”
Hunter stood and approached her – his stature no less intimidating than Crosshair’s had been. Asha tried not to shrink under his gaze. Keyword, tried.
“All of us – we all rely on each other. We look after our own. We’ve only got each other, understand?” He spoke softly, but his words carried a particular weight that made Asha nod. “Trust is going to have to be earned. I won’t argue your assignment… but I hope you understand that we’ll be keeping an eye on you.”
“Y– yes, of course, sergeant,” Asha replied quickly, nodding her head. “I wouldn’t expect anything less, honestly. I’d honestly be more concerned if you guys trusted me right away… I-I promise, though, I’m just here to help! That’s what I’ve always done, yeah?” she chirped, and jostled her toolkit for emphasis with a small smile, hoping to alleviate the tension. She watched as Wrecker stood, the largest and most intimidating of them all, and approached her… and she nearly toppled to the floor when he clapped a massive hand around her back and against her shoulder, much to her surprise.
“Well, I like her!” he boomed with a hearty laugh, earning what was probably the deepest sigh of relief Asha had ever given. Finally, someone who wasn’t painfully tense or utterly vitriolic about her presence… that much, she could handle. She could handle the loudness and the forcefulness if it meant someone was actually friendly to her.
“Your enjoyment of her presence means very little if we do not know how effective she will be at her assigned job,” Tech spoke up from his workstation, staring pointedly at Wrecker and Asha. “And in order to do that, she will have to locate Echo.”
“...wait, he’s not here?” Asha asked, and the moment she did, what little tension that had been relieved returned twofold. “Well, where is he? If I’m going to be the one… tending to him, I’d like to meet him.”
“Of that, I am uncertain,” Tech continued. “When we received the order that you had been assigned to our squad as his personal mechanic, he departed rather quickly. That was about an hour ago. Best of luck in locating him.”
Tech seemed almost painfully indifferent. Asha looked at the four of them, hoping for some semblance of help – something that would actually indicate that she could rely on them to back her up – but she found nothing. Just reluctance. With a heavy sigh, Asha stepped to the side and dropped down her heavy load of tools and other necessities, and stood fully upright – the tips of her montrals just barely reached Wrecker’s shoulders.
“Well, I’ll go look for him, then,” she said with a renewed sense of purpose. If she was going to earn the trust of these men, then… first step would be finding their missing brother. But he didn’t seem so much missing as he was most definitely hiding from her. “I’ll see you guys again after I find him.”
With that, and a quick turn on her heel, Asha turned back to the door and stepped out, determined to find the man she had been charged with upkeep for. He could try and evade her all he liked… but she wasn’t about to let this anxiety on both of their ends keep her from doing her job, and keep him from working at his best.
Asha re-entered the stark white halls of the Kamino facility, picked a direction, and marched off.

cleared 15 more floors of side order last night and left the last 5 for tonight (i remembered that i beat octo expansion like a day or 2 before the first splatfest after it--the orange juice one--so i decided i should try to be done in time for this one too)
and i beat it! (some spoilers ahead)
first 2 phases of the final boss weren't so bad, but in the third i died once (from the stingray... i remembered stingers are the number one thing i die from in salmon run so after that whenever i heard it i just RAN. reefsliders also broke my armor once so i learned to be careful of those too)
and since i only have 2 lives i had to play it super safe the rest of the fight. after dying, it literally took me almost 20 minutes for just that one phase (i recorded my playthrough so i know exactly how long it took).
i'd swapped my special for killer wail at a vending machine early on (using dualies btw) so my strategy was just to continue swimming + inking around the perimeter of the stage and then point the wail at it and go back to running. i also had a swim speed up chip and that certainly helped. slowly i wore each of the targets down bit by bit until they were gone (and sometimes ofc if i felt safe enough i'd hurl a splat bomb--i also got those--or go in and shoot at it)
wave 4 was super fun but i let all that power (and the music) go to my head and almost got killed by stingray again (if i didn't have armor i wouldve been dead)
was a little surprised that you only have to clear 30 floors (i guess 40 including the tutorial) considering how quick a lot of them go, i guess the expectation is you'll lose at least one run? (and i guess i did come close to doing that)
it's gonna get harder from here though probably. generally i chose based on which color chips seemed best, so i ended up doing a lot of easier floors (and i quickly learned my dislike of splat zones extends to this version of them too, i barely made it through a couple of normal/hard ones and decided to avoid them for the rest of the run) (tbh they're still better than defending an orb. at least you don't die if they take the zone)
....but i expect i'll probably want to clear all of the floors at least once in the end, just like how i've cleared every octo expansion/rotm stage with every weapon even though that isn't really necessary. so im going to have to go through splat zone hell later. maybe that'll make me better at splat zones though (also i guess the hacks should make that significantly easier. all i had was one extra life and slight damage reduction)
i did do one rigorous floor, acrobatic_triangular.floor, and it was fine. as with a lot of things in this game the trick was to just keep moving
and now that i've finally unlocked inkopolis square i can work on clothing store badges again (having unlocked the gold one in splatsville recently). i added up the amount needed to get everything i didn't have from 1 star to 2 stars and it was well over a million (this was before fresh season added more, too) so i didn't have to worry about potentially not being able to put money towards the jelfonzo badges. but at least now i'll get them sooner
i do still need gold hat/shoe badges from splatsville (i have all the inkopolis plaza ones) so i guess i'll be running back and forth until i have all of those and can focus my purchases entirely on inkopolis square shops
anyway splatfest for the next couple days so i guess i won't be doing anything in side order until at least after that. i do have several days off in a row though. also i gotta do my taxes. also i gotta get up for work in like 3 hours goodnight

Two-Faced Jewel: Thunderbrush 20
Dredge the Lost
Tumblr media
A conwoman disguised as a noble and the delegation of university students studying her have arrived in the jungle city of Thunderbrush, ruled by ancient dryads and organized crime. Will they manage to stay uninvolved in shady conspiracies? (No.)
Story so far | Session log index | Previous session
Last time, the party made it through a moderately deadly wasteland of zombie parasite bugs and magical spirit deathification... into the corpse of Dead Jane, a mysterious ghost dryad mafia donna who's been killing everything within over a hundred meters of her for 102 years. Surely searching this place for criminals will be less dangerous!
They first find themselves in a hallway which has been pretty thoroughly stripped down. They aren't the first people to acquire magical protection and try to loot the place, and there's not much to find in this first floor. All that's left are things too broken to be worth stealing, like some smashed firefly lamps or furniture. A quick once-over doesn't reveal all that much, so they turn to Miriko for more information.
Tumblr media
Not getting much from that, they check out the rooftop.
Tumblr media
Rooftop's also pretty bare- looks like it was a garden, a hundred years ago before everything died and the place was looted.
Tumblr media
Still nothing of value up here, so the party start getting serious. Earlier, they spotted a staircase in the floor going down, which was covered in a heavy iron grille with a padlock. Guessing that a place that was still locked after a hundred years wouldn't have been looted, they give it a shot- Saelhen popping the lock, and the party's physical fighters straining to lift the heavy and rusted grille.
On their way down, they hear a CLUNK from upstairs.
They go up to investigate, but don't see anything- the grille's still open, and they're not trapped or anything. They suspect they might be being followed, but they proceed back downstairs anyway. And at the same point on the stairs... the CLUNK again.
This time, Saelhen goes up to investigate alone, hoping to stealthily catch their pursuer off-guard. She again finds nothing... until Orluthe takes a couple steps back down the stairs, and she nearly gets pushed over by some large invisible rectangular floating object.
A little investigation later, involving a splash of ink from an inkwell and some risky climbing, they discover... hey, this is their garden box! The one they got from that vampire gardener, all the way 24 sessions ago. Apparently the way the "shrinking" works is that the "shrunken" box is an illusory projection, linked to the real box which normally floats in the air above, invisibly, just out of sight. (Since... spatiomancy no longer exists, and I needed to justify the existence of a shrinking garden box.) Mystery solved, they proceed into the basement level, leaving the box to clunk against the stairwell invisibly in a futile effort to follow behind.
Tumblr media
Through a closed door, they find themselves in an armory, well-stocked with all sorts of conventional weapons. Anything made with wood is dried out and brittle, and anything made of metal is rusted, but it's all intact- as are, apparently, some corpses!
Looseleaf botches the roll to scan them with spirit magic, so Saelhen attempts a more manual autopsy by cutting them open. And she finds that... these corpses are infested with revenant bugs, but those bugs died somehow, leaving the bodies mostly untouched except on the inside. Gross!
After Oliver takes a pneuma blueprint of one of the armory's shields, they proceed deeper via a secret passage Oliver finds hidden under a rack of axes.
Tumblr media
Inside is... a secret treasure room! Full of boxes of gold! Each box of gold has a label a name attached, each with the surname "Doe", followed by an amount and a brief description of the source. Some just say "won", others mention names of victims or descriptions of grifts. Each is signed off underneath by the same "Curly Fry Doe".
The party divvies up the old blood money, collectively 2400 gold. Not a bad haul!
Tumblr media
They leave the secret room and head into what seems to be an old meeting room, with filing cabinets and a table covered in maps. There's a conure avian slumped over the table, differentiated from the other corpses by a weird distortion effect surrounding her.
Saelhen pops the file cabinets, and goes through some of these ancient documents, protected from rot by the death field, and finds a bunch of records on all the inhabitants of Jane's corpse. Names to put to the dead faces!
Looseleaf inspects the maps, which seem to describe a number of contradictory battle plans- some sort of big attack was being planned when everyone died, but it doesn't seem like they could agree on a target. She consults Miriko about them, trying to see what she can glean about who the Does- Jane's gang- were in conflict with.
Tumblr media
The result is... the field seems very weak, being almost out of mana. It's projecting just enough of a field to protect her corpse from revenant bugs, leaving it nearly pristine- only barely different from an alive person.
Tumblr media
All the other corpses are full of dead revenant bugs, and are of little interest, so Saelhen goes ahead and looks up this avian woman in the personnel records- a fairly new member with an exemplary combat assessment, fast-tracked to the Antler Division. One Lydia Glye, with a rough sketch matching the corpse.
Tumblr media
Oh, sure! Why not do that last thing? They've recently learned some necromancy, after all! They carefully apply their knowledge and reel in whatever's on the other end of that tether- until it comes into contact with the body, which tries to eject it immediately. Luckily, they're holding tight enough to keep the cord from snapping- and they try again, after healing the body with Orluthe's divine magic. This time...
Tumblr media
Lydia Glye freaks out, because from her perspective she was having a normal conversation with her gang and then suddenly everyone in the room was dead except for a bunch of strangers who appeared out of nowhere. They attempt to speedrun the exposition, which kind of overwhelms and confuses her for a bit- but she believes them, once she tries knocking on the wall and finds her boss, the dryad, isn't responding. Doesn't stop her from holding a knife up at them with practiced precision- she's ready to kill anyone at any moment if she decides she doesn't like what they're saying.
Tumblr media
Saelhen rolls Something's Fishy to try to get a read on her motives, crits, and gets the sense that... she's not lying about being confused by all this, or being alarmed that everyone's dead... but she's also hiding something. She's worried they'll notice she's faking... something, but Saelhen has no idea what, even on a crit. She's worried this whole setup might be a trap to out her.
Lydia notices one of the nearby corpses has been cut open, and the party has to explain the whole revenant bugs situation- and Lydia, not quite trusting them, performs some sort of field autopsy on her own, to verify. Which... is not something normal that mafia thugs do! She's got some sort of medical knowledge she's not explaining.
Tumblr media
Lydia claims she doesn't know anything about that necromantic tether on her, which Saelhen is pretty sure is true- but she does know that all of Jane's mages were busy working on some sort of secret project called the "cervix" deeper down, which she managed to learn about by tricking them into being a little more loose-lipped. It seems like she'd been doing some snooping on her own gang, prior to dying. Hm...
Tumblr media
Also she doesn't like puns.
Lydia: "I'm holding a knife," she repeats. "I'm going to keep holding a knife." "It would be really dumb to murder someone over this." "So I shouldn't do it." Looseleaf: [I have come up with several ovary-themed puns that I refuse to make.]
Introductions are made all around once Lydia calms down, and she gives them a fake name- Erin Doe- which Saelhen immediately recognizes because she already read the dossier. (Oyobi also gives a fake name, which translates to "crotch fart", because she thinks that's funny.) Still, they agree to work together to try to find the cause of the death curse and put a stop to it. It takes some convincing to get her to let Looseleaf touch her to heal her, though.
Tumblr media
They then proceed deeper, and find a sealed records room, which Lydia kicks down the door to. Inside, they find a corpse that Saelhen is able to identify as Curly Fry Doe, the quartermaster who originally wrote those dossier files. Her body is also intact, since the bugs couldn't get at it... and she also has the necromantic tether attached, which means the party can go ahead and pull her soul back into her body.
There's a crit 1 on the necromancy roll. At the last moment, the tether snaps- and they only have a moment to do something before the soul on the other end falls out of reach.
Tumblr media
Looseleaf spends Luck on this last hail mary- and rolls a full success, allowing her to precisely euthanize the rat, ride its death-ejection, grab what's left of the tether, and bungee-jump into the Thanatic Sea after Curly Fry's soul.
Tumblr media
Looseleaf returns triumphantly, with Curly Fry in tow.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With another poor innocent mafia henchman rescued, the session closes. Next time: the party finally runs into those suspicious Ashtray people they actually came in here to find!

Gold Secrets - A few Quick Tips
Everybody has encountered it. You've hit one of the landmark levels and you need more gold for whatever mount you were later, or you just hit the level cap and you're left with your faltering evening out gear because you can't manage the visit site here cost of an upgrade. What you really want are some quick WoW gold secrets to make sure that you don't find yourself in that situation once more!
1. Plunder everything. This is one of the most common gold-making botches I see players making. Dim and white things, commonly known as merchant junk, add up to an extremely huge level of your pay while evening out or running cases. On the off chance that you have space in your pack, plunder it. In the event that it's seller rubbish, sell it to your neighborhood trader, and assuming it is green or better set it up on the auction house. Invest in the best sacks you can manage so you never need to miss free plunder.
2. In the event that you can't use any of the mission rewards, pick the weapon or plate. Generally speaking, this will net you a superior merchant price, however there are a few exemptions. If all else fails, feel free to Wowhead.com. 1 or 2 gold for every journey can really add up in Outland and Northrend. Assuming multiple weapons are accessible, keep as a primary concern that 2 handers usually sell for more than 1 handers, which usually sell for more than went weapons. Assuming multiple protection pieces are accessible, legs, chests, shoulders, and rudders are usually valued in a specific order.
3. Take a social event calling, and keep it exceptional. Truly, this by itself will double your pay. Regardless of whether you just assemble while heading to journey goals and occasions, it will in any case add up. I've viewed mining as generally productive, with cleaning and herbalism not really making their mark until significant levels. Taking either mining or herbalism with cleaning as your subsequent calling will basically ensure that you won't ever find yourself needing for gold.
4. Sell pieces of material exclusively. It might require somewhat more investment, however it is worth the effort. The auction house sorts by price, so in the event that you are selling a piece of material fabric for 2 silver, and a pile of 20 material fabric goes for 20 silver, your single pieces of material will be recorded ahead of their full stack. You can generally pull off multiplying the price per unit and just topping off the first 2 pages, because people are apathetic and most will just buy the first thing recorded in the event that it's not preposterously priced. This likewise has the added benefit of permitting smithies, designers, and leatherworkers to buy the very measure of fabric they need, since they seldom need it in mass.
5. ABQ - - Always Be Questing. It might not have a similar ring to it as Alec Baldwin's particular line from Glengarry Glen Ross, yet it's equally essential regarding its effect on your gold pay. In the event that you are making the rounds in the world and there is a mission you could be doing as you would prefer or nearby, do it! This is especially true at the cap while the remaining journey experience is changed over into additional gold. With Anger of the Lich Ruler, there are dailies in basically every zone, so you know that there are always a couple of quick missions you can take out for some gold.

Chapter 1
In a dimly lit corridor þat seemed to continue on to þe point of infinity, red lights lined þe corridor providing a faint glimpse of þe surrounding walls and launch track. A countdown timer had appeared on his head-up display showing a countdown till launch start, not þat he needed it. 2m 30s till launch, 30s from here to þe end of þe launch tube.
3m till þe distress signal.
Þe tunnel suddenly had an end in sight with blues, red and gold flashing up þe tunnel, screeching towards þe pilot.
1m till launch.
Þe lights showed him how close he was to þe battle. He did a quick systems check and a test of þe engines. þis time would be different.
20s till launch.
It had to be different. Once launch was established, he would have to make it to þe battle area wið in 30s.
5.
Þe pilot's adrenaline started to spike. þis was it, þe start of combat. A calm before a storm whirled in chaos. He had run þis simulation far too many times before.
L A U N C H
Þe pilot slammed þe accelerator forward causing þe entire ship to rock violently and pull forwards forcing him into his chair. Þe sled þat sat underneað his ship shot forwards, grabbing his ship and increasing its speed 3 fold, propelling him towards þe exit. Þe red glow from þe small tunnel lights seemed to increase in intensity and flickered on and off, faster and faster until þey reached an equal point, lighting þe pilot's cabin up wið a red glow.
5s was all it took to clear þe launch tube, he would have to keep þe accelerator pushed to maximum and redirect þe sheild power to his þrusters. He knew þat if he let off for even a second he wouldn't make it. Þe last time he tried he got close and tried to fire off several stinger missiles but þey weren't fast enough and Damien was run through. Some of þe worst enemies for a pilot to face were spear drones. Incredible long range fighters using a single charged shot weapon. Þey could charge you down and with terrifying speeds, pierce straight þrough you wið þeir hard light shields. One would have to know where þey were coming from in order to focus all shield energy in þat one point to have any hope of surviving.
Þis time felt different, þis time he could do it. All he had to do was get to him fast enough and he could be þe shield. He had to know it was possible. Þe pilot switched to L A N C E M O D E. His ship's wings flew forwards, slamming into þe sides of his ship. Hard light shields shifted towards þe front of þe ship forming into a lethal point þat could pierce þrough even þe toughest of cruisers. By removing all shields from þe rear of þe ship and pushing þat energy into þe ship's þrusters, he gained a tremendous boost in speed at þe loss of defence and maneuverability.
Þe difficulty came in at 2m when Damian took it upon himself to move þe battle furðer away from þe civilian vessel he was protecting. He had figured þat he could still take þem all and þat þe ship heading towards him was there to back up þe civilian and merely to rescue him. A well placed shot from one of þe drones knocked out all of his coms and had left him in þe dark.
Þe pilot knew what was coming and pushed against þe already locked out accelerator, muttering under his breað, it was now or never. He flicked a small red cover switch on his right hand side and engaged L A N C E M O D E U L T I M A.
He was slammed into his seat and felt a sharp pain burst þrough þe nape of his neck as his neural link connected him to his ship. Now þe real flying could begin.
Þe neural link allowed for humanity to better interact wið machines. Raðer þan leaving it to AI to perform perfectly calculated actions, þey gave humans þe ability to perform perfectly uncalculated actions. þe human instinct and spirit turned out far superior to þæt which calculates. Making þe machines an extension of oneself was not an easy task. Most pilots pass out wiðin þe first few seconds of þis mergance and even after five years of academy training, þe best can only hold it together for 30 seconds. Þe toll it takes on þe human body, some have argued, is why AI should take over þis roll but time and time again þe chaos of man's actions proves unsurpassable.
Þe pilot would feel everyðing at a higher level. A single twitch or misðought could þrow him off. He needed speed and so he removed þe fuel injector limiters and redirected more power to þe engines and þe lance's shield. One of þe drones had got in þe way and was immediately shattered by þe ship's hardlight lance. þis meant he was close now. Þe ultima mode was wearing on him and he could feel his consciousness fading.
Þere it was, þe civilian vessel was in sight and so was Damian's ship. He did it þis time, he really did it he knew it was possible to have got here in time. þe pilot released ultima mode and þe ship dropped out of its high speed and engaged its reverse stabilising þrust, helping to bring its velocity down. þe wings which had been spun to þe front had slammed back to þeir combat position and its shields had returned to a normal state. þere was a wave of relief þæt washed over his body. He felt like he could æþm again. He set his eyes on drones þæt were still about ready to engage þem. Even þough he felt exhausted, þe ultima mode really drained him but he had no time to sit about and recover, þere was still one more þing to happen. It was still coming. He started to bring þe ship around to target one of þe drones when it started. It had arrived.
He checked þe mission clock and realised þæt he was out of time. þis caused þe panic to set in, he was out of time again. He wasn't fast enough again. No matter how many times he repeated this mission, he could never be fast enough. After all, he wasn't fast enough in real life when þe sim was first recorded.
Þe niose was inhuman and unanamalistic. It was þe scratching of metal and hate, þe screaching of gears and abandonment, þe wailing of old machinery and loss. It was þe end of everything þæt got in its way. It could devour whole fleets like a snack, planets like a meal fed to a starving dog and moons like dessert to a pompous king. It was glutinous, it was unbridled indignation, it was nightmare incarnate.
It was simply titled Jörmungandr, þe World Eater.

((Session 55 is wrapped!))
We have everyone available for the first time in nearly a month, so I’m going to try to cut the Lightbell shenanigans short and hustle everybody into the Library of Pax Achillies for some required Story Bits before I lose this chance.
Bagelby: “Did y’all hear the narrator? We’re going to a lighthouse!!”
Somehow the conversation pivoted from bullying the local vigilante to Bone Daddy and why he’s hot.
Now the topic is ‘Which Batman Villain Would My PC Be’, because someone joked that if they bullied Whitescale 2.0 anymore, he was going to go Joker on them.
Ena watched Whitescale 2,0 leave as the party argues OOC.
New restaurant and NPC: Patricia Pound, dwarven owner and head chef of Patricia’s Pancake Pyramid, an all-day breakfast restaurant in Port Covekeel, Salance. Created solely bc the drunk party member cried about wanting pancakes and I needed to get them moving.
“Look, it’s very easy to make food sexy.”
Thiori’s player refuses to accept that he specifically said “I give ALL my gold to these kobold” last session and thus has no gold left to go around tipping random strangers at the public bus stop and keeps arguing with me about it. I am honestly about to scream just gET ON THE FUCKING WAGON-
Bagelby spent the entire wagon ride badgering the 20-something wagon driver about his life.
“Because the light hurts too much and you can’t turn off the sun, you invent sunglasses.”
The instant Bagelby saw the port’s three - three! - lighthouses, he abandoned the group to run across town and dive right into the bay.
The party sent Thiori to drag him back, but when Thiori caught up to Bagelby, he just…kept swimming.
A resigned Asahi cast Levitate on Ena so that Ena could float across the water, and dove into the water herself.
Lex also decided to swim, as her new, god-given muscles made it quite easy, and Sir Carl Jaeger had to strip out of his armor to avoid drowning as he swam after them.
Bagelby, rolling for perception: “….that is a 2.”
Me: “You find a cool rock.”
So absorbed was Bagelby in his cool rock find that he didn’t notice Y.A.W. standing in the lighthouse doorway until Thiori had picked him up and carried him halfway up the stairs.
Before opening the portal to the Library of Pax Achilles at the top of the lighthouse, Y.A.W. warned the party not to overstay their welcome, lest they become a part of the library itself.
Being the Head Librarian at the Kendaran Royal Palace Library is apparently just a side hustle for Dynamite, Head Librarian of the Library of Pax Achillies, Demigod of Knowledge, and 13th Son of Machina, Goddess of Innovation and Deceit.
Bagelby, horrified: “No….no! It can’t be! How did YOU get here?!”
Dynamite handcuffed Bagelby to Asahi to force her to chaperone him, forced Ena to wear a hazmat suit to keep her fire away from the books, and demanded collateral from the party in return for temporary library cards.
Sir Carl Jaeger left one of his rings as collateral, Asahi left one of her enchanted glass figurines from Redfeather City.
Dynamite demanded Maritza as collateral from Bagelby, to the party’s genuine horror.
To keep Maritza company, Thiori handed over Saiorse. Dynamite then pulled out a mimic of her own, so all three could have a playdate.
Lex tried to hand over her deity-given weapon, but Dynamite looked her up and down and waved her through.
After a very sad puppy look from Lex, she sighed, and took the Rod of Guffaw as collateral.
Once everyone in the party had been given a temporary library card, Dynamite led them around the circulation desk to a massive tome - one that required both of her paws to open - and spun it around to face them.
The book itself is blank, but when you place your palm on its page and firmly state what information you’re looking for, the pages write themselves with the library wing, wing section, aisle number, shelf letter, and shelf section of the book that best matches your request.
Once your query has been processed, the book spits out a little map showing you how to reach the specific shelves from the circulation desk. None of the shelves on the party’s many maps seem to match.
Dynamite, very sternly: “Wipe your hands before you touch my book.”
Bagelby wants to find: Information on “how to un-steal a soul”.
Ena wants to find: Information on Genasi (specifically of the air variety) marriage customs. Book got confused and gave her dragon lore as well.
Sir Carl Jaeger wants to find: Information about Chessifer, his missing squire.
Lex wants to find: Information on her home country, [name unknown].
Thiori wants to find: A shit ton of crafting recipes.
Asahi wants to find: Literally ALL the lore her list went on for twelve NPCs five cities and six major historical events I’m gonna have to cut things down just for the sake of time.
It took Bagelby several attempts to get his answer recognized by the reference book, as he kept amending his request when the information brought up was not what he wanted.
Ena, about Thiori fighting Krell 1v1: “You have the high ground!”
Thiori, horrified: “Yes, but he has the high chairs!”
Asahi asked if they could speak to Pax Achilles, and Dynamite insisted that NOBODY disturbed the demigod unless the world was ending.
Asahi: “About that….does a giant magical chaos tree growing out of a dimensional rift count as world-ending?”
Dynamite:
As soon as Dynamite stormed off to get Pax Achilles, Bagelby ran back to the reference book, slammed his hand on the page and asked it a dozen and a half more questions, including: “how to become a librarian in 6 easy steps” and “why is money?”.
We left off with the party going their separate ways to find their requested books, leaving me with a LOT more lore to develop in about a week.

Lesson #1.1: Book of Apostolic Acts in the Plan of GOD for all of Mankind
1.]  In the beginning GOD: The Maker of all things,       WHO is a personal agency working for       righteousness & joy in human history and       society, & WHOSE moral features are seen in       JESUS CHRIST the reconciler of men to GOD.
[Ro 1:19-20; Acts 14:17; 17:23-29; Ps 19:1-4; 2Co 4:6; Jn 1:9; 18]
   •  Romans 1:19-20 [Berean] ¹⁹ For what may be       known about GOD is plain to them, because       GOD has made it plain to them. ²⁰ For since       creation of the world GOD’s invisible qualities,       HIS eternal power & divine nature, have       been clearly seen, being understood from       HIS workmanship, so men are without excuse.
   •  Acts 14:17 | ¹⁷ Yet HE has not left HIMSELF       without testimony to HIS goodness: HE gives       you rain from Heaven & fruitful seasons,       filling your hearts with food & gladness.”
   •  Acts 17:23-29 | ²³ For as I walked around and       examined your objects of worship, I even found       an altar with this inscription:       TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.
Therefore what you worship as something       unknown, I now proclaim to you. ²⁴ The GOD       WHO made the world & everything in it is the       LORD of Heaven & Earth & does not live in       Temples made by human hands. ²⁵ Nor is HE       served by human hands, as if HE needed any-       thing, because HE HIMSELF gives all men life       & breath and everything else.
²⁶ From one man HE made every nation of men,       to inhabit the whole Earth; & HE determined their       appointed times & the boundaries of their lands.
²⁷ GOD intended that they would seek HIM and       perhaps reach out for HIM & find HIM, though       HE is not far from each one of us. ²⁸ ‘For in       HIM we live & move and have our being.’ As       some of your own poets have said, We are HIS       offspring.’ ²⁹ Therefore, being offspring of GOD,       we should not think that the Divine BEING is       like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by       man’s skill and imagination.
   •  Psalm 19:1-4 | ¹ For the choirmaster. A Psalm of       David. The Heavens declare the glory of GOD;       the skies proclaim the work of HIS hands.
² Day after day they pour forth speech; night after       night they reveal knowledge. ³ Without speech       or language, without a sound to be heard, ⁴ their       voice has gone out into all the Earth, their words       to the ends of the world. In the Heavens HE has       pitched a tent for the Sun
   •  2 Corinthians 4:6 | ⁶ For GOD, WHO said, “Let       light shine out of darkness,” made HIS light       shine in our hearts to give us the light of the       knowledge of the glory of GOD in the face of       JESUS CHRIST.
   •  John 1:9 | ⁹ The true LIGHT WHO gives light       to every man was coming into the world.
   •  John 18:1-22 | ¹ When JESUS had spoken       these words, HE went out with HIS Disciples       across the Kidron Valley, where they entered       a garden. ² Now Judas, HIS betrayer, also       knew the place, because JESUS had often       met there with HIS Disciples.
³ So Judas brought a band of soldiers & officers       from the chief priests & Pharisees. They arrived       at the garden carrying lanterns, torches, and       weapons. ⁴ JESUS, knowing all that was       coming upon HIM, stepped forward & asked       them, “Whom are you seeking?”
⁵ “JESUS of Nazareth,” they answered. JESUS       said, “I am HE.” And Judas, HIS betrayer, was       standing there with them. ⁶ When JESUS said,       “I am HE,” they drew back & fell to the ground.
⁷ So HE asked them again, “Whom are you seeking?”       “JESUS of Nazareth,” they answered. ⁸ “I told you that       I am HE,” JESUS replied. “So if you're looking for ME,       let these men go.”
⁹ This was to fulfill the word HE had spoken:       “I have not lost one of those YOU have given ME.”
¹⁰ Then Simon Peter drew his sword & struck the       servant of the High Priest, cutting off his right ear.       The servant’s name was Malchus.
¹¹ “Put your sword back in its sheath!” JESUS said       to Peter. “Shall I not drink the cup the FATHER has       given ME?” ¹² Then the band of Soldiers, with its       commander & the officers of the Jews, arrested       JESUS & bound HIM. ¹³ They brought HIM first to       Annas, who was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, the       High Priest that year. ¹⁴ Caiaphas was the one who       had advised the Jews it would be better if one man       died for the people. ¹⁵ Now Simon Peter & another       Disciple were following JESUS. Since that Disciple       was known to the high priest, he also went with       JESUS into the courtyard of the High Priest.

You know the joke about level 20 shop keeps to keep murder hobos in line? What about like an actual reason for a level 20 something shopkeeper? Like a retired adventurer selling off the contents of their many bags of holding. Great place to get magic gear, plenty of potential adventure hooks, and a retired adventurer would have a great many connections.
Tumblr media
Shopkeep: Agiviv Stoneeye, The Alchemist under the Hill
The title? It’s my little joke, I always said I’d be in my grave before I gave up on the great work, so after I retired I found myself a cozy little barrow in which to continue my studies. Still brings a smile to my stiff old jaw each time I think about it.
Setup: The Sad truth is that age catches up to everyone, even heroes, and those that live the adventurers life tend to age faster than most. If it isn't the life sapping curses or the devouring jaws of beasts that get you, it's the slow accumulation of innumerable breaks, stabs, burns, and mishaps that accumulate in a body along with years of hard wear and stress.
Such was the case for Agiviv and his companions, a once celebrated band of heroes who saved the world in their own small way before settling into happy obscurity. After their mission was done each wanted different things, some family, some to return to the duties they left behind, but for Agiviv the whole point of adventuring was to secure the means by which he could continue his studies, and by the gods did he ever find it.
While each of his retiring friends took a hero's share of their accumulated wealth Agiviv (who served as the group's quartermaster) ensured he was left holding the bags: the bags of holding containing years of accumulated treasure, crafting ingredients, and dungeon junk. Settling in one of the first dungeons cleared by his companions, close enough to a town to make a supply run but not so close that he’d be bothered with neighbors,  the old Orc now works away happily on all the projects he never got around to during his life on the road.
 Hooks:
Joke as you would about alchemists and their search for gold, Agiviv was always the most business minded of his companions, and has spent the intervening years setting up storefronts in several major population centers across the kingdom. Each one is minded by one of his apprentices, who discuss the needs of customers as they enter and browse through catalogs before popping into the back room to secure the stock. These “back rooms” are in fact portals to Agiviv’s workshop, where the apprentices can clear any important transaction with their boss or shift down to one of the many storerooms to retreive the stock. When the party visit their local “Stoneye’s Alchemics” only to have its attendant disappear for a protracted period of time, their curiosity may lead them to intrude upon the workshop and begin to poke around where they don’t belong.  Depending on whether they decide to do a smash and grab or actually investigate the disappearance, they may later encounter a very angry Agaviv or one thankful to them for saving an apprentice that’d fallen victim to a long unnoticed mimic.
Given his talents lay in the crafting of potions and other alchemical wonders,  Agaviv is more than happy to part with various bits of armor, enchanted weapons, and miscellaneous doodads too impractical to be of any use in his research. One of these items happens to be a very dangerous book that Agaviv accidentally mislabeled saving it from his “Very cursed do not sell” Pile. Sold to the party as a genuinely useful and benign object, the group’s spellcaster may only learn of it’s true nature after it has become attuned.
Though the dungeon Agiviv claims as his home was cleared out years ago, one wing of it has become infested with pests, which the shopkeeper may send the party to clear out as a bit of a nostalgic lark. What he doesn’t suspect is that these creatures actually crept out of a portal to the underdark, and their reckless burrowing has created a fissure that the party will inevitably fall down and will be forced to climb their way back to the material plane. After braving an unusually long road of trials, Agiviv will be shocked to realize he’s going to have to move or risk his entire operation falling into the world beneath.

Skyrim thieves guild headcanons
The daedric prince of Hyperfixation is at play here, enjoy my ramblings. Also check out @thequeenofthewinter she writes some really awesome stuff 😁
Brynjolf (aka my fave)
He was recruited by Gallus around the same time as Mercer, he rose through the ranks of the guild quite quickly... a little too quickly if you asked Mercer. Gallus was going to make him the next guildmaster but after explaining he didn't care for responsibility he told Gallus to give the position to Mercer
He's not an easy man to pin down. if he reveals any part of his personality, other then overconfident, cocky and flirty, to you willingly, you should consider yourself special.
Flirts with everyone, lads and lasses alike (especially his guildmates)
He grew up in a settlement somewhere in the riff. The village of about 20 was mostly made up of Dunmer refugees, a handful of Khajiit and Argonians and a couple of Nord families, he sees them as equals and feels as though he can relax more around them then he can around other Nords. It's partly why he often avoids going to Windhelm
Speaking of Windhelm, it's the last place in tamriel he would ever want to go. Not only because of the Nordic residents poor treatment of the other races but also because he prefers warmer weather and doesn't care for the near constant snowfall
As recruits, he was the youngest and only teenager (17 to 19) and Mercer was the third oldest (mid to late 20s)
Occasionally gets caught on purpose for fun and thrills
When someone in the guild ticks him off (usually Mercer) he'll mumble insults in scottish gaelic to avoid the guild fighting amongst itself
If you're on a job with him and things go south, let him do all the talking (he's silver tongued for a reason)
Absolutely littered with scars
*spoiler alert* spells take a lot out of him, once that frenzy spell Mercer put on him wore off, he collapsed and was breathing quite heavily, unfortunately he didn't have much time to recover
Has a general distaste for bandits, however on the way back from a job, he was attacked by three bears and a Nord in bandit armor ran up and started helping him, once the bears were dealt with Bryn excepted the man to attack him or demand gold but the bandit just sheathed his weapon and turned toward him with a smile on his face "Heh, you fight pretty well. Name's Thrynn, mind if I travel with you for a while? There's plenty more bears around here"
Has definitely been told more than once that if he doesn't wipe a smirk off his face, his armor is going in the pond... with him in it
Brynjolf doesn't know Glover Mallory very well but, knowing it would never happen otherwise, took it upon himself to write Glover a letter for his birthday each year, usually a handful of gems will accompany that letter. He also makes the rest of the guild sign said letter and every time Delvin's just like "why would I need to do that?"
Has a tattoo of the guild shadow mark on his left forearm and "dying breed" across his shoulders
Doesn't go on jobs alone very often
Kept a journal he lifted off a drunk altmer once, it's mostly just filled with drawings, client information, stuff about the Nightingales and (much like Gallus) plans to make the guild good amounts of coin
Mercer Frey (aka captain backstabber)
Hated Brynjolf's guts from day one and always thought the scottsman was full of himself
Muttered and cursed under his breath more than he liked to admit
Was shocked to hear Brynjolf tell Gallus to make him guildmaster and when he asked why Brynjolf's answers only infuriated him more "I don't care for responsibility" "I'd rather not be a leader" "I just don't want to" etc.
"Brynjolf's a showoff" when Gallus asked why the pair didn't get along.. among some other more direct reasons
Mostly just payed for the upkeep of his house to keep the guild from going through his things and using them as leverage/playing keep away with him/hiding things from him/using his stuff for pranks etc. He only keeps the bare minimum of what he needs on a daily basis in his chest, end table and desk
Would never say it, but he did find Bryn somewhat funny BUT he definitely wasn't laughing when Brynjolf and Delvin dumped two bucket fulls of cistern water on him at 1AM
Gallus told him to teach Brynjolf some magic in hopes they'd learn to get along. Brynjolf however, politely declines the offer, explaining that "magic and I don't mix well" *Mercer nodding* "noted"
Ironically is the first person to start calling Brynjolf "Bryn"
As a teen, Brynjolf used to call him a "grumpy old man"
"I hate to admit it, but Brynjolf is the best person we've got at finding new recruits. That man really knows how to read people"
Delvin Mallory (old man *affectionate*)
The "fun" uncleTm
When Brynjolf was new to the guild, some recruits Gallus was training at the time, thought it was a good idea to mock Bryn's accent. Delvin was the one to put an end to it "just 'cause the boy's young, he's already twice the thief compared to the rest o' you lot"
Vekel "I know better and I'd still say the old bastard has a drinking problem"
Definitely issues all the drinking challenges/games
One of the only guild members who is even remotely or the slightest bit religious
Will begrudgingly pay off a guild members bounty if the guards are really hounding their ass, just feels like he should
Straight up refuses to retire, retirement is a drity word
Can't sneak for very long anymore due to his age so he's usually sent in as a distraction and if you don't know how to sneak very well then he can sure as hell teach you
Hardly ever seen without a bottle of mead in hand
Brynjolf was the one who gave him his opening line when someone asks for sneak training "if you need training, go talk to Delvin. Stick with him and they'll never know you're there"
Thrynn (Ex-bandit)
Very sarcastic and brutally honest
Uses archery targets for punching bags
Can left most guild members above his head
Once after a particularly aggressive troll attack, he carried a very injured Brynjolf back to the Flagon, despite Bryn's protests, which led to him calling Brynjolf "featherweight"
Damages his armor more than anyone else, which according to Tonilia is saying something considering Brynjolf is a bit of an injury magnet
He's pretty good friends with Brynjolf, considering the pair usually do jobs together. They've gotten to know each other quite well, sometimes too well
Can sneak, just doesn't want to
Doesn't quite understand the idea of magic, despite being from Winterhold "so you just hold your hands up and fire comes out of them? Weird"
*someone uses big words/scientific terms* "just get to the point"
Bear hugs/lifting people up from behind unexpectedly is one of his favorite ways to amuse himself
Prefers ale to mead, unlike his buddy Bryn who likes honey in his drink
Tonilia (♡?)
As quartermaster, she basically does everything Brynjolf or Mercer/dragonborn doesn't want to do
Gets annoyed easily
Met Vekel after she joined the guild
It's a rumor that her and Brynjolf are having an affair, what happened was some drunk in the Bee and Brab was trying to get a bit frisky with the fence and Brynjolf stepped in saying "the lass said no and so do I" Mercer saw them walk out of the inn, arms linked, he couldn't hear what was said but he watched Tonilia thank Brynjolf and hug him. Now, Mercer being the asshole that he is started the rumor of her and Bryn being a little too "friendly"
Probably had a girlfriend at some point in the past
Sapphire (💙)
Sapph and Brynjolf have an interesting relationship, it goes beyond friendship, more like a brother and sister who haven't seen each other in a long time but were never particularly close. They both lost their families and each have a deeper understanding of the other because of it
Her and Bryn were out and about in riften and ran into someone she knew before her family... well you know, when they asked who Brynjolf was she introduced him as her brother for lack of a better explanation
Vex is older than Sapph by nine years, Tonilia is younger then both of them but has been with the guild longer
Mercer would never tell, but Brynjolf saved his life. Sapphire's last order from the dark brotherhood was to assassinate Mercer Frey, it was the middle of the night when she snuck into the guild's hideout, Brynjolf and Mercer were up late working. Brynjolf convinced her to follow along with some jobs and she'd be payed more than what the dark brotherhood offered, she agreed on the terms that the guild was to not meddle in what she called "personal affairs"
Has a few coin purses filled with her collection of stolen sapphires in her end table
Viper the fleet (🙄..)
Was one of the last recruits to tarin with Gallus before he was murdered, Brynjolf picked up where his predecessor left off
Even Bryn can't stand how lustful this man is, Brynjolf's flirtatious jokes are one thing but Viper takes things too far in the the opinion of the senior thief
The last time the second in command caught Vip trying to bed Sapphire, he told Thrynn to trouble shoot his brain (bash it in..)
Has two heads but only enough blood supply to run one at a time
He can be a good thief but only if he would actually get his head out of the gutter
If it had been up to Bryn, Viper would have been fired from his position... MULTIPLE TIMES
Vex (our little vex <3)
Was a drifter, ended up in riften and has been there ever since
Second oldest female in the guild, the first being Karliah
Over heard Braith and Lars arguing while on job in Whiterun, Braith reminds her more of herself than she'd like to admit
Second best in a fistfight, first being Thrynn and third being Brynjolf
Usually slaps the back of someone's head if they piss her off
Her parents told her stories of the dragonborn but she never believed it until the the last dragonborn became part of the thieves guild
Much like the redhead she deems annoying, no one really knows where she's from
Curses the most
Vex: *punched Brynjolf in the shoulder as he walked past her* Brynjolf: *stumbles forward, look's at vex with a smirk* "I like that lass" Vex: 😳
Her closest friend in the guild is Sapphire
Rune (🪨..)
When Brynjolf heard Rune's story, he started asking the male Imperial to accompany him and Sapph on their outings. once the three got to know each other better, Bryn explained that he and Sapphire had lost their families as well
Him and vex were the only Imperial members of the guild for a long time
His little rune rock is his most prized possession, understandably
Most of the long time guild members have in someway attempted to decipher the symbols, if you were to ever get your hands on the second in commands journal (which he keeps in a locked dewar in his desk) you'll find a page with Rune's well, runes drawn on it, surrounded by notes of what they could potentially mean
Can be very blondeTm sometimes
Is happy that Sapph and Bryn have fond memories of their families but it also saddens him sense he can't remember his own, the other two notice this however and try not to bring it up too often
At a time when thoughts of home, wherever it may be, was weighing heavy on his mind, Brynjolf slung his arm over Rune's shoulders and claimed him as his younger brother
Is at least two or three years younger than Bryn
Second closest to Brynjolf, the first being Thrynn
Enjoys spiced wine occasionally (if you catch my meaning...)
No one's sure how but he says he has "connections" with the Whiterun guard

𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫!𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫!𝐲/𝐧
A/N : i have nothing to say other than the fact there will be an excessive amount of twitch slang bc why tf not + just,,, heavy streamer!albedo brainrot ;-;
masterlist
AIGHT
streamer albedo
pog—
so before we get into him being whipped for u, let’s go over the type of strimmer mr Kreideprinz is
fun fact that’s his twitch name—
albedo would be the type to do lots of variety streams of different games, but also the occasional art one if he wants to have a chill stream with his chat !!
speaking of chat… they’re an odd mix of wholesome supporters, KAPPA + POGGERS + catJAM (bc he always has some bangers on in the bg like yes u bless our ears my guy) + KEKW + EZ Clap + his own emotes spammers, mr albedo’s very own shrimps (me, ahEm—), and ppl who just appreciate his voice + gameplay
if there’s a troll he just bans them OMEGALUL
omg he has lots of emotes (which he made in some of his art streams so his viewers could choose some) for every scenario but we’ll get into the popular ones in a bit 👁👁
he’s most definitely one of the bigger, well-known streamers but with a smaller group of friends
his discord server has,,, a lot of ppl,,, 70k+ ppl big,,, rip notifs if ur in it ;-;
he has it muted tho 🐥 like, sir, that’s ur server pay the goddamn price smh
wait i forgot to mention this but he has his webcam on when streaming
so u can bet ur chickens that when ppl come to visit his stream bc of whatever category he has on, they stay for his visuals and voice <33
his twt 🤡 mans gets 1k+ likes, rts, comments within the first 5-10 mins
omg he gets soft when he receives sm support from his community 🥺🥺
gifts so many subs when hitting milestones, chat is wholesome or just whenever really HJKSDHKL
also doesn’t swear much unless he gets played by his own game and/or someone is being incredibly annoying <//3
he also just,,, eats on stream
albedo straight up takes his webcam with him to show him cooking if his viewers ask for it
or he just orders food then and there and eats while chatting to everyone or watching youtube with his chat 🥺
nOW ONTO HIM BEING WHIPPED FOR U AS A GENSHIN STREAMER
this AR55 man 👩‍🦯
he can literally produce content from anything
from artifact farming, to spiral abyss, to running around mindlessly, to building characters he would normally never build, to him seeing how high up is considered too high to dive
and everyone eats it up bc it’s albedo <3
also !! he’s the type who includes the story quests in his streams so his reaction and thoughts on everything is just,,, there
now when u were first introduced in the prologue (yes ur one of the ogs + involved in the dvalin fight <33) he blanked and all his viewers could see was u on screen with him staring blankly in the bottom right of the screen
this man straight up saw u in a cutscene for one second and fell in love
his chat went wild omfg
he immediately made an emote for u and that’s his most popular one 😌
but i kid u not, the moment u appeared in that cutscene (one in which he will forever treasure in the crevices of his heart) was the moment he asked this exact question ;
“ so (y/n) banner when? ”
and mihoyo heard his pleas and answered with ur event banner
except it was like,, 4 months later
at least ur finally here tho :’)
now he can have his lil science-y moments with ur voicelines ;-;
yes, ur the chief alchemist but ✨ 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 ✨
. . .
shut up
n e who
when he saw the notification from mihoyo’s official forums that u will be a playable character in the new update — along with new characters, region, events & a domain — i shit u not he did a rt, his own tweet, an announcement on the community feature on youtube, and made constant reminders to his viewers on twitch abt how he will be a (y/n) haver no matter what
he even added future (y/n) haver in his twt display name
what a shrimp—
the 1.2 update stream 🐥 he was there waiting for it to go live with like,,, 19k viewers spamming his chat abt predictions and obv ur official release + showcase
and when i say this man fell even more in love while watching ur trailer and character showcase 🥺 he wouldn’t stop smiling or being in awe bc ur just??? so stunning???
mihoyo clearly has a favourite child and it’s u
chat was spamming ur exclusive emote like crazy oml
u can bet it was also flooded with lots of POGs and POGGERS
overall it was a very fun, chaotic stream filled with lots of (y/n) appreciation and love <33
also a very memorable stream for all his viewers bc of the side of albedo they rarely see unless ur involved
the day ur banner was to go live tho 🐥
the streams leading up to the fateful day consisted of him farming ur mats
that’s it
boss runs, local specialties, hero wits, talent books, the mats needed for ur weapon he was inevitably going to pull for (only the best for the best, afterall) and many domain runs
many painful domain runs
all of it was worth it tho bc ur worth everything :’)
an actual quote said by him—
at least he can get u and ur weapon to lvl 90 right off the bat with all the artifacts tailored for u ;-;
and get u to that point he did HJSDKJF
once ur banner dropped? immediately started wishing
2 multis in and he gets u 😣
albedo nearly cried and was the literal embodiment of head in hands
wHEN I SAY HIS CHAT BLEW TF UP AND HIS MODS JOINED IN
modCheck has left the chat
everyone’s rooting for him :’)
pulled for ur weapon and got it in 1 multi
sir give me ur luck pls and ty
but yes he nearly choked on the gASP he let out while chat screamed even more
he blanked for a bit, i won’t lie ;-;
but when he realised this was real, he immediately went to his party set up and put u in
can we all get an f in the chat for his lvl 10 tartaglia 😔💔👊
his chat usually rages at him to build him but if he’s being honest, he cba
ur vl when he put u in the party tho <333
now he’s just spent half an hour running around with u, letting u do ur idle animations (will always be grateful for mihoyo creating u like this), reading ur very limited (for now—) character story and going through ur voicelines
ur morning & about us (when he unlocks it) voiceline >>>>> his heart be running laps rn i swear
eventually he does begin to build u after much admiration on his end and at lvl 1 with lvl 20 artifacts, u already have 1.6k atk 🐥
now after he levels u and ur weapon to lvl 90, u have 2.8k atk 🐥
rip mobs <//3
he now plays u as his main dps 😌
the kit initially designed for u is meant to be more for support?? kinda like the whole ganyu or zhongli debate abt them being a dps or a support/sub dps ;-;
except ur more utility like venti or bennett
and even though the majority said at the beginning (aka, mihoyo, pretty much any other streamer and the larger part of the fanbase) that ur meant for support, he said fuck that and built u as his main dps
and i won’t lie, u do more damage than any of his characters, and ppl who co op with him
ur his pride and joy :’)
he went to take a look at ur consts to see if they were worth the rng suffering and, lo-and-behold,
they were
so now he’s using all his saved primos for u to try and get ur c6 const, along with making ur weapon r5 :’)
his chat gets a free view of him internally suffering when the gold light doesn’t come, and his external suffering when he loses the 50/50
in the end, he decided to whale for u <33
after nearly an hour, he has u to c6 and ur weapon to r5 ;-;
now all he’s been doing the whole stream is running around with u in open world, doing his daily farming, doing more domain and boss runs, exploring the new region (dragonspine) + ur story quest
he’s saving the event quest for another stream bc ✨content✨
in ur quest, he had multiple heart attacks and now has many, many screenshots <3
he now has a zoomed in pic of ur face as his twt pfp <33
okay so i also feel like he’s not all that bothered abt getting characters to friendship level 10 immediately and would rather let it happen through time
but obv ur not any other character *proceeds to debby ryan at u*
even if ur not fit for a particular domain or boss, he still puts u in the party so when collecting the blossom/rewards, u can get the friendship exp ;-;
he just wants ur name card so he can show off okay 🥺
when he lets his viewers pick out the playlist, 98% of the songs are from ur character demo theme
they just know him so well 😩
they also just wanna see the way he smiles when he hears it play but shhhhhh
now he just has his in-game avatar as u, and ur namecard too <33
also his signature is just ;
“ (y/n)’s favourite streamer ”

So we are almost near the end of the season 15 and last season I went over some suggestions to ease the changing of the season. Well I’m back to help you once more!
1. Time to clear out your vault! Next season will introduce 42 (!!!) new legendary weapons + new exotic weapons (source is Chris Proctor)! This is the single largest influx of new weapons since Forsaken and there will be NO vault increase in season 16. Keeping 1 of every weapon is simply not viable anymore. If it’s the same element, the same archetype, or just a bad gun then cuts have to be made!
If you’ve made it to rank 20 of the season pass legendary gear is worth 4 shards instead of 3 when you dismantle. If you need help figuring out what weapon rolls are good I recommend the Youtubers Aztecross and Cool Guy. Both of them do excellent weapon reviews. Light.gg is also a good website, although it’s community voted so sometimes perks like Surplus or Snapshot are undervalued (gold is considered good for any mode, red for PvP, and blue for PvE).
HOWEVER it is also okay to wait until Witch Queen is out to clean your vault. Gunsmith will now rank up by dismantling legendary gear + doing bounties so it might be worth waiting as well. You could mark the items with an ugly shader or equip a weapon mod you never use (I chose Radar Booster) so you can identify and delete weapons quickly. You can also mark weapons in apps like Destiny Item Manager, but third party apps will probably be down during the first day or two of Witch Queen.
2. Finish your exotic catalyst quest for Lorentz Driver! The double/quadruple catalyst booster (ranks 11 & 22) are going away and once they do it’s pretty painful to finish the seasonal exotic catalysts.
ALSO if you still need to acquire other seasonal exotics from year 4 (namely Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale) or work on their catalysts you should probably start working on them (Forerunner and Gjallarhorn are the exception to this)!
3. Finish your Lost seal and MMXXI seal triumphs and don’t forget to equip them at least once! The same is true for any title you’re working on gilding!
4. Finish your weekly season challenges for the 4,000 bright dust reward! You don’t need to complete every challenge you only need to complete enough challenges for the bright dust payout. If you’re wanting to do Trials of Osiris triumph you have less than 18 hours left to get them done (until the February 15th reset). There will be NO Trials next weekend because of Iron Banner!!!
5. Consider saving bounties for next season to boost your new season artifact early! Completely optional, but extra artifact power and artifact mods can be very useful early in the season. Make sure you have your ghost set to give an experience bonus and claimed the Large XP Boost from the season pass first before cashing in any bounties. If you have friends you get slightly more experience when in fireteams together when you pop your bounties. HOWEVER, keep in mind some bounties are getting outright removed or altered for the new expansion (looking at all playlist activities and gunsmith bounties). Any destination bounties for locations that are staying should be safe.
You may also want to consider saving a few umbral engrams (I would do no more than 5 per character). Umbral engrams get focused into their seasonal engrams so it might let you have more early chances at new gear without having to wait for new umbrals to drop for you. Likewise old iron banner bounties MIGHT give new weapons or drops of weapons with the new Origin perks (see TWAB for Feb 4th).
6. Plan your guardian’s look/weapons before the season starts. Previous seasons have opened with a mission/cutscene. If you care about your guardian’s appearance or want to grab screenshots you might want to plan ahead. Also various item manager apps sometimes have problems day 1 of the season so if you have a weapon on your secondary/tertiary characters that you really want to use it can be annoying to get them off that character.
7. Maybe don’t take off work on day 1 of the season? The first day or two of the new season are likely to be buggy, have queues to login, error codes, etc. I’d wait until Thursday or Friday before taking a day off for Destiny.
8. Don’t forget to spend your Gunsmith materials and any other year 4 seasonal currency! They are going away at the end of the season! The exception to this are Strange Coins. The Dares of Eternity activity and Strange Coins will still be available during year 5.
9. Finish any threader/armor synth bounties you currently have. You can complete 10 per season per character, back in December they reset this so you have 10 more per character! Vanguard bounties that require elemental kills + 4 strikes are fairly easy to complete and the dungeon/raid bounty for orbs of light are very easy to complete with the intro to Grasp of Avarice.
10. Swing by ALL venders! Any reward engrams that they have will go away!

Prison Break One-Shot - Escaping via Storm Drain
Part 2 related to This Post. This follows if the PCs (1 or multiple) decide to escape via the storm drain tunnel.
Opening Description:
The tunnel is dark, Meduim sized creatures need to squeeze* through the space - small creatures can stand hunched over. The water flowing through the tunnel has made it slippery, but it is easy enough to drudge through by keeping a hand on the mossy stones for balance. Without Darkvision you aren't able to make out anything in the darkness.
PCs without Darkvision will suffer the blindness condition, and torches cannot be lit properly do to the dampness of the space. The tunnel leads to a drop off, that PCs must make a DC 15 Acrobatics check, find another way down, or turn around. If the Acrobatics check is failed PC receives 2d6 damage.
Bottom of the Drop:
At the bottom of the drop PCs will find the corpse of another prisoner. This one was a human, and the only thing of note on their person is a gold locket with a decorative amethyst. A druid or other PC with 10 Pass Wis (Insight) or higher will know that there is a arcane lock on the locket. A DC 20 dexterity or strength check can break/open the locket. Inside will be a torn paper from a spellbook containing 1 spell for the DM to decide. For this playthrough my PCs don't have a Wizard atm, but I chose the Grease spell.
A short description of the drop's floor:
You are all still standing in about ankle-deep water, but are no longer squeezing through a cramped space. A hinged gate at the end of the tunnel is flooding the space with moonlight, it appears to be a similar iron to the bars inside of the prison, but a bit more brittle with age.
PCs will find that the hinged grate needs to be broken (10 DC Strength Check) or the lock picked (10 DC Dexterity Check) in order to escape. Once outside they will find themselves in a field, below the prison tower they just escaped from. Above them they are able to hear the sound of fighting, and can make the decision to join the fight, or escape down the road. They can also check in with the NPCs if they brought any, and see what they think. Momuk will want to escape, and will leave regardless of what PCs decide. Roki will insist on joining the fight, and will go up to help regardless of what PCs decide. Either Momuk or Roki can be persuaded with a 20 DC Persuasion check.
At this point Above Table - the DM might need to remind PCs that they do not have their stuff. Since PCs may have forgotten that or not brought it up prior to escaping. If PCs are a low-level consider putting basic weapons onto the corpse they found in the drop, or adding a few nearby guard corpses to pillage. DM Beware - Magic Users like Wizards may have a hard time without their spellbook so flexibility is key. Consider adding more spells onto the corpse found previously- particularly spells they already know. Or provide a component pouch or a spellcasting focus for characters like Druids.
At this point PCs probably wont run away, but instead head towards the tower.
Approaching the Tower
As you walk up the hill towards the prison, the sound of fighting grows louder, although it sounds like a losing battle. In the moonlight, you can see figures fighting in the yard within the gates of the tower, a number of human forms lay before you, and further in you can see one giant creature tower over the guards at it's feet. It appears that zombies - particularly 1 Ogre zombie - have been picking off the guards like flies.
The Yard contains 4 Zombies and 1 Ogre Zombie. There is also an NPC Necromancer Wizard named Alek, who is controlling the corpses. Roki will tell PCs that he knows Alek, and suggest that they help kill off the remaining 4 guards instead of stopping the Necromancer. A DC 10 persuasion roll will convince Roki to admit that he and Alek were once romantically involved, although aren't any more ("Huge messy deal, part of the reason I left the Order") and that he thinks this was a plan to help him escape. A DC 15 Insight roll will let PCs know that he is sincerer in thinking they should help Alek, but not why.
From here PCs will need to decide to Help Alek or Help the Guards... or they can wait and see who wins.
*- When Squeezing through a space creatures must spend 1 extra foot for every foot it moves there, and it has disadvantage on attack rolls and Dexterity saving throws. Attack rolls against the creature have advantage while it's in the smaller space.
small illustration, not really a map, but just to show the idea of the tunnel:

3. What is that one scene that you’ve always wanted to write but can’t be arsed to write all of the set-up and context it would need? (consider this permission to write it and/or share it anyway)
I don't think that I have one? This sort of thing I'll either do as a full story or I will do it as concept writing to get it out of my head, so I can't really think of anything that qualifies, especially for the "always wanted to write" caveat. Like, if I'm that hung up on it I'll usually just write it.
19. Is there something you always find yourself repeating in your writing? (favourite verb, something you describe ‘too often’, trope you can’t get enough of?)
oh yeah one of my recurring tropes is "the building is sentient and it wants to kill you," though weirdly I have no desire to do this in the MCU, so that one's so far completely out in this fandom. But I've done it a lot in both Star Wars and Narnia. (Same for sentient/semi-sentient objects, the way I do for holocrons in Star Wars -- I really, really have no interest in doing this in the MCU, even though there's arguably canonical support for doing it with the Infinity Stones. No interest. Not happening. Potentially could in the future -- they're all still around post-Yonder -- but no interest right now.)
I've got a lot of recurring phrasing that you'll see fairly often (the "it's me -- it's me" reprise whenever a character returns from the dead, "his/her gaze flicked," etc.) and probably some other recurring scene-types -- like, I do a lot of "character just woke up," it's probably one of my most common ways to start a scene. (There are two in this chapter of Horizon alone and the next chapter probably starts with one.) Also I write a lot of crying. Arguably too much crying, as an ex once accused me.
20. Tell us the meta about your writing that you really want to ramble to people about (symbolism you’ve included, character or relationship development that you love, hidden references, callbacks or clues for future scenes?)
oh man I could go on and on and need more specificity about which story you'd like (heh), but here's a detail that I don't think anyone has ever noticed in Yonder or Horizon and some rambling about the Yonderverse:
Clint finally pulled his fist back and Loki immediately put his hands down, then smoothed out his shirt cuffs with precise, fiddly movements. His cufflinks were gold and shaped like lightning bolts, Natasha noticed for the first time. (Yonder)
“Overrated,” Loki said dryly, rising to his feet and slinging his polearm over his back again. Except for the weapon he could have been prepared for a magazine photoshoot, in crisply-pressed slacks, green silk shirt, black waistcoat, tie, and suit jacket, gold glimmering not only from the beads in his hair but also from his curving tiepin and lightning bolt cufflinks. (Horizon)
Which is Loki's lightning bolt cufflinks, which are obviously a nod to Thor, parallel to Thor having Loki's helmet on his vambraces in The Avengers. Yonderverse Loki loves and misses Thor very, very much -- he absolutely thinks Thor is dead and doesn't expect him to come back in Yonder at all. Immediately post-IW in this 'verse (as the flashbacks in the last chapter make clear), Loki also thought that all the Asgardians had been wiped out; that there was no one left at all, just him. A lot of what he's doing when he's building New Asgard, and later ruling it, is constantly running basically the mental equation of "what would Thor do? okay, I'm going to do that," because he doesn't totally trust his own instincts anymore. As we know from canon, what he does is not remotely what Thor does (aside from the foundation of New Asgard, but I think Yonderverse New Asgard and canon New Asgard may actually be in different locations in Norway), but he has no way of knowing that and he's very much working off this idealized memory of Thor and to a lesser extent Odin and Frigga.
Post-Yonder this creates a big problem of Loki and Thor not actually agreeing on a lot of things, because Loki's idealized picture of "what would Thor do?" is not in fact what Thor would do in many cases. The Asgardians who survived the Snap, both in New Asgard and on Vanaheim, have one view of Loki (and while the Asgardians on Vanaheim are less hero-worship-y than the ones in New Asgard, it's still there, despite Loki's cynicism in Yonder) and the Asgardians who did not survive the Snap do not have that and may actually have it going more towards Thor (because he saved them from Ragnarok). So that results in intra-Asgardian conflict as well as conflict between Loki and Thor as they disagree on things, which range from "I did not build Idavoll to share with my dead brother, I built it for me to live in for the next six thousand years, I was planning on using that room that now has to go to you so you are not sleeping in my room" to "oh, wow, we have completely different opinions on Asgardian laws about child custody, huh." The Thor in Loki's head -- who has been there, dead, idealized, for five years -- is not the real Thor, even though he knew the real Thor for a thousand years. Loki grieved and loved his brother very, very much and five years on in Yonder is not over either his death or watching Thor be horribly murdered in front of him, but he was in a position where he had no choice but to deal with that and keep going. He is not the Loki that Thor remembers from Ragnarok by Yonder and that's something that's very hard for both of them to deal with, on and off. (Which is also true for Sif, who has not seen Loki since TDW; it's a huge shock for both her and Thor to see a Loki who's really comfortable in his role as King of Asgard in his own name, as Allfather, as a much-loved absolute ruler. The Valkyrie, on the other hand, knew Thor for like a week but has worked very, very closely with Loki for five years now. It's weird for everyone.)
