Long time no see!

Long post about where i’ve been and where I’m goin below :)

So, it’s been about 2 years since I last posted anything on this blog. Since I started college, I found that I just didn’t have the time or energy to write on this blog anymore.

Furthermore, I simply just don’t like DSMP or streamers anymore. I’m going to straight up say the way I consumed that type of media was not healthy at all. I DID have parasocial relationships with these people, to an unhealthy degree, and I chose to completely cut any of that media out of my life cold turkey.

Getting anxious because I might miss a stream or other video wasn’t healthy, the fandom wasn’t healthy. The constant attack on streamers for not being the epitome of morality wasn’t healthy. And honestly it was all super exhausting.

I’m going to be leaving this page up, because despite all this I am still proud of the works I’ve done, just maybe not what they are about.

I still love writing, and want to continue it, and will do so on my new blog @mmarcish I will hopefully have a new LoZ fic up today! (and yes, it’ll still be spicy) I want to keep my creative outlet, I still wanna write and talk to other ppl about the things I love, I just want to do it in a healthier way.

"But if college was free, then people would abuse that and get useless degrees" hell yeah I would! If I could go to college without debt I would make it my job to get a degree in every little thing that interested me. I'd get a doctorate in film studies. I'd have a bachelor's degree for every science I like. I'd try to learn at least 5 languages with varying results. I would learn something "useful" like coding and then follow it up with a ""useless"" degree like art history. I'd be the world record speed run holder for getting every degree possible.

But I can't afford college without going into massive debt, so instead I spent the last 5 years trying to figure out what I am passionate enough about to consider going into debt over, because unfortunately being passionate about everything is extremely expensive to pursue.

last semester i wasn’t doing well in a very important class i needed to pass in order to graduate so i was working my ass off writing essays and shit and every time i started slacking i would bring up this image and i’d say “ah fuck you’re right vash i really need to keep working” and then i’d write for another two hours and i actually managed to pass and graduate and i honestly don’t know if i would’ve been able to without this picture. thank you vash

When September and October are nearing and you’re planning an event: google “Rosh Hashanah *year*” and *Yom Kippur *year*” and then, and I cannot stress this enough, don’t plan your event on those days. In fact, don’t plan any events starting sundown the night before. Those are the three most important days of the Jewish calendar, and, once again, I cannot stress enough how much this little bit of forethought and kindness will make every Jew you know cry tears of joy.
