Little!Donnie Darko Headcanons
✮⋆˙ 1/2/3 - 4/5/6 - 7/8/9 ✮⋆˙
I am surprised I haven't done this earlier, he's my everything. I cannot believe it took an ask to get this made. I've seen a lot of headcanons about him being transgender and I kind of see it, so I'm following the masses and incorporating it
CW: Mentions of pills & dysphoria
Tumblr media
☆ Donnie's little age is anything pre-puberty, typically ranging from 5 to 8, but can slip as young as 2 when especially stressed or as old as 11 when on the cusp of regressing
★ He tends to slip into little space when with his therapist (due to hypnotherapy, though he hardly counts it), when extremely anxious, or when extremely dysphoric.
☆ He's primarily pre-puberty to help with discomfort in his body due to maturing. Part of it is because he mourns never having a "masculine" childhood, and wants to live that out like every other boy got to do.
★ He refuses to have a caregiver. He fantasizes about having one, and what it'd be like, but is too independent to allow anyone to take care of him
☆ Doesn't mean people, primarily his sister and mother, haven't tried. He's more open to letting Elizabeth care for him in small doses. He starts to get agitated if he feels she's impeding too much on his "little" time
★ THE KING OF TANTRUMS!! He'll scream, he'll cry, he'll stomp his feet, he'll throw things, he'll rip things up. He has a hard time managing frustration when he is little. This contributes to his adamancy on not having a caregiver; he doesn't wish to subject someone to his fits
☆ Fiddles a lot. He loves having things to fidget with. His go-to is the strings of his hoodie, and small handheld trinkets, like a Rubik's cube. Not much of a teether. Needs to keep his hands occupied
★ Loves coloring books!! He steals Samantha's coloring books, too shy to get any on his own. Samantha notices. She doesn't say anything
☆ He loves drawing too. Depending on how old he is, it can be pen scribbles or well-thought-out doodles. He holds the pen in his fist to make his drawings look more child-like
★ He still had the doggy stuffed animal he got from his therapist. He has an unhealthy attachment to it, In and out of regression. He panics if he doesn't have easy access to it. Washing it has always been a pain
☆ The only little gear he had ever gotten for himself (aka not stolen from Samantha) was a sippy cup. Mostly drinks mixed berry juices and sparkling water
★ Samantha and Donnie play together sometimes when he's regressed. The trampoline is their favorite toy to play with. Samantha isn't aware of his regression, but she's happy he plays with her
☆ Surprisingly, he's more willing to take his pills when regressed. His brain is too foggy to conceptualize if he needs the pills or not, nor what they say about him (will fuss a little. It's tradition)
★ Only eats soft foods. Things like cakes, bread, soup, bananas, etc.
☆ Unsurprising; He likes watching the Smurfs, alongside other cartoons. He loves to curl up with a blanket and his stuffed doggy and binge episodes for hours
★ Has glow-in-the-dark stars on his ceiling, and a few dangling over his bed
☆ Despite his age being on the older side, he loves crib accessories, like mobile hangings and soothing bedside toys. He has one from when he was a child that plays a faint lullaby
★ Needs calming noise to sleep. Either white noise, a lullaby if he's feeling bold, or the calming voice of another. The latter hasn't occurred outside of his mind, but to him, it works all the same
☆ Plays a lot of board games. He has a hard time finding people to play with him. He's a sore loser. He plays with himself. It makes him sad. It makes him more regressed.
★ If he did have a caregiver, he'd want to call them mommy or miss. Not interested in having a male caregiver-- He's too much of a mama's boy. He's so weak to motherly attention
☆ Would cry if an older woman said he did good. Needs praise to survive
★ Someone kiss this boy on the cheek I think he needs it !!!!

Now that we're entering into 2024, I'm asking some artists and writers that I follow:
1) What is the one piece you're most proud of from this past year?
2) What are some pieces that you would have liked more people to see? If you can include links, I'd love to go check them out!
3) What were your top three favorite pieces (art, comics, fics, etc) that someone else has made this past year?
(As always, no pressure to respond! Feel free to just ignore, or let me know if you'd rather I not send you these kinds of asks in the future.)
1) I'm very proud of the apritello day 4 one, I truly enjoy taking the time doing this (probably the longest I've ever took since I start tmnt fanart on tumblr lmao) I really loved how it turned out.

~
The kitchen’s Steve’s favorite part of the house.
It has this odd shape. Trapezoid. “Fuck, Stevie, so goddamn weird”. Doesn’t make sense in a, on the other hand, perfectly rectangular house (or, well, it does but, they’ll only find out about that later). The cabinets are ceiling-high. The tiles of the wall white and cracked under the repeating pattern of light mint-green-stemmed, yellow-petaled lilies. The whole backdoor is painted on that same shade Billy calls Ripe banana dreams, both so terribly old-fashioned and fiercely cute none of them says a word about repainting it. There’s a wooden piece, built into the farthest end of the counter. It looks disgustingly juicy and mercilessly stabbed when they move in, but Billy insists on keeping it, and sanding, and treating, and varnishing it. Manages to get it back up on shape because “Better than anyone, darling you should know what a little touch of class can make”. And for more than two weeks straight the only goal of his life is to learn to cut vegetables at high speed because “I have to live up to this level of professionalism. Impress our most un-impressionable guests”
(And, to Steve’s surprise –and probably hers– when she finally deigns to pay them a visit, his mom is, in fact, pretty much impressed.)
He learns how to make good casserole. Tries his luck with Mexican and Italian. Fails miserably with Japanese. Will never-ever admit it but, he loves it when flour ends up staining every single surface, making the biggest mess around himself when he bakes. Steve knows why it is. It’s a shared feeling. Floats up till it reaches the ceiling and bounces back down to them, heavy with the warm smell of cooking pie and cinnamon. Tastes docile and tamed like “Maybe not so much vanilla next time. Whaddaya think, babe?.” Tastes savage and daring, like the overwhelming tang of freshly squeezed lemon lingering on Billy’s tongue, when he crowds Steve against the fridge and kisses him, nibbles a shuddering laugh out of him “How the fuck are you able to even think about putting your mouth near that thing, Hargrove?. That was––ugh. That was disgusting”, “Well you know me, whatever it takes to make you squirm” leaving Steve with absolutely no option but lick the sugary dough stain over his cheek to “Cover up that foul flavor” and maybe because he wants to make Billy squirm a little too.
It’s a heart-warming, welcoming feeling. Like the vivid smells of green tomatoes and parsley and mustard sauce. Like the taste of love on Billy’s lips. The way he loses his breath when Steve kisses the sugary flavor into Billy’s mouth with his:
This place smells like home, tastes like home. Like finally, finally. Home.
It’s Billy’s favorite place, too. But Steve doesn’t think it’s just because of that. But also because maybe,
maybe.
He has also noticed that–
There’s this particular, particular moment. It happens around seven on autumns, right when the day starts to fade. It happens between six and six past twenty-eight on winters, and holds the sleepy cheeks of the newborn tulips on Steve’s garden till they fall asleep on springs, sun already sinking behind the horizon by the time both hands of the clock meet over the spiral of the eight, pointing towards infinity. And then grows bigger and bigger and bigger from there, flooding into summer: the golden sunlight seeping through the wide, double-paned window facing the backyard in an oblique angle, making the yellow flowers of the tiles look like they’re re-blooming in gold.
It’s the moment the day turns into a fire.
It’s their favorite moment in time. And in this particular, particular day of July, it happens at ten past nine.
Billy is making Spaghetti Carbonara. The kitchen is damp with the rich smells coming out of the boiling water. Mushrooms and oregano, black pepper and lime. A song is cooing at them from the radio, the beat of the drums a boneless memory of that one echoing around the quarry on faraway almost-night on a faraway July. Water rippling under the quiet sigh of the breeze. Trees cutting the liquid rays in asymmetric halves.
Billy takes off the apron. Turns the stove down.
Reaches out to Steve, fingers wavering come, come, come.
To me. Come to me. “C’mon, Harrington. Do I scare you or what?“
He has this way of looking at Steve that makes the space between them narrow, narrow: the whole unknown world. And aseptic, non-lived-in flat in downtown Florida. This tiny, tiny town. A mysteriously-shaped kitchen––
“¿Can I have this dance?”
Steve walks to him, takes his hand.
––Their bodies, pressed flush.
Inside his chest, Steve’s heart is running.
(“Can I at least have this dance, before we say goodbye?”
Mazzy Star was playing. The corner of Billy’s eye felt wet where his skin brushed against the corner of Steve’s mouth. They danced till the daylight faded, till there were teardrops falling from the night sky.
“Billy, I don’t have to––”
“Don’t, pretty boy. Don’t say it. I’ll make you stay if you do. And I can’t do that”)
They made lovelovelove on the back of Billy’s car.)
In this light, they fell in love, they fell apart. Ran away. Ran back.
Steve nudges at Billy’s chest, makes him move backward till he’s far enough to tug, draw him in between their tangled arms, hands intertwined. Steve curls himself around Billy’s back, noses at the warmth trapped between his curls. He smells like BillyandSteve, like this home, like past, like future. Like us.
Steve whispers in his ear. Three words. Billy’s neck curves towards him. An instinct. Tickled by their warmth. Steve kisses the curve of his ear. Tugs the collar of his shirt aside, bites where shoulder meets neck and up, up.
“Easy, Prom King” Billy teases, grins at him tender and wild. Knows when to use the one that gets Steve every time “Or you’re gonna make me think we’ll become picture-perfect from this magical moment onwards. A bunch of kids. White fences. You know, the whole shebang”
(Billy crashed the Camaro into a tree in the winter of two thousand and fourteen. Had left the house in a frenzy. Something happened Max wouldn’t talk about. But she was scared, so she had called,
“Find him. Please.. Make sure he’s alright”
When Steve found him, Billy was in the middle of the Brookville road, feet stumbling on the twin yellow lines, following them nowhere. So weary, so impossibly small like this: head hanging, arms wrapped around himself. A crooked shape, carrying the weight of the shadows the tall pine trees cast on his back.
So unlike him.
Steve stopped the car at his side, engine oozing steam, shaking in the icy mid-May air “Billy” he said. Low. Careful. Careful. Billy’s eyes looked wet in the moon-silver night, pupils blown, deceivingly calm, “What are you doing? This is dangerous” And Billy’s spine had bent even lower, forearms finding rest on the window frame. Leveling with Steve. Looking wasted, looking tired, but still, he flashed a grin at him, teeth-shark white, never going down if he wasn’t going down swinging. And Steve–– hadn’t known at the moment, but the blood staining his cheek, the screaming-purple mark around his eye.
Those weren’t from the crash.
“I was sleepwalking, Harrington” he said, voice dry, laugh harsh. Shrugged “Waiting for a lucky strike”)
“What does it make you think that’s not what I’m aiming for?”
(When he took Billy to his house Max was already there. Had sneaked out. “Neil will kill you if he finds out,” Billy said and she nodded, white knuckles peaking red with how hard she was gripping the handler of her bike, and Steve hadn’t seen her cry before, not ever, but her eyes were swollen and wet and,
“Are you––”
“I’m alright, kiddo. You know me. I’m always alright”
And the lie sat heavy, between them. Two lies, covering the truth. Poorly stitched. But Max had called Steve for help, so that’s what he did. Help. Sent her back home. Took care of Billy’s face. Billy’s hands. Nodded at those same lies, let them do their work while taking care of wounds he didn’t know, back then, couldn't have been for a crash. Made him spend the night.
Billy still hadn't woken up when Steve left the next day, leaving food and a note on the nightstand ‘I’ll be back soon. Stay’.
Retraced Billy’s steps down the yellow lines splitting the forest in half. To find it.
The Camaro wasn’t done yet. Howled like a wounded beast under Steve’s touch, but stayed together all the way to Donny’s garage. And Steve paid for the repairs. Covered it all up. Max has said “His dad can’t know, Steve. Can’t know. If he finds out he will--” and steve was starting to put two and two together. To realize some billy was, maybe, running away from something. Someone. When he crashed his car.
Woke Billy up when the hands of the clock met over the spiraling infinity of the eight. Seventeen hours straight of sleep and still looking like he could use a lifetime. Told him “The car will be ready in two or three days. ‘Til then, you stay'' covered his mouth with his hand. Didn't let him complain “And If whatever happened last night happens again, you take it and you run. Back here. And you stay again, ok?”
Two weeks later, Billy showed up at his door. Lit him a cigarette. Offered to teach him how to fight.
“I cannot give you back your money, but I know you don’t need that”
Made him laugh.
They spent almost the whole summer together, after that. Some days. Most nights.
Wasting time. Fighting. Joking. Driving.
Falling.
No ‘what ifs’. No promises. Just,
“Leave the light on if you can’t sleep, pretty boy. If I manage to sneak out of the Old fuck, I’ll pick you up. Promise I won’t stop kissing you until dawn. Gotta make up for what you paid for that ca, uh?”
Because Steve was gonna leave. Wasn’t gonna throw a single glance behind his back.
That was the plan.
And he did. He did. But––)
He spins Billy out. Tugs him back. When their chests bump, his laugh bursts, bubbles up. Weightless. Happy. Because all that matters to him, to them, it’s between these four irregular walls now.
And God this, this, is Steve’s favorite part.
(–ended up coming back running, hoping the love would re-stitch itself as he followed the road’s yellow lines.
Hoping Billy was the one letting his light on this time.)
Because the sun’s gonna keep on shining. They can keep on dancing in here, in their weird trapezoidal kitchen (in their house, in their home), for as long as they want. Hearts touching. Lips brushing. Bodies swaying, spinning, cutting through the golden light.

I'm curious, do you think that theory that Lucifer is Jottun makes sense? To me it feels weird, but this is your lane and you have way more knowledge about this.
Okay so first of all, wtf tumblr why is your cut INSIDE THE ASK and fucking up my post
Tumblr media
Moving on:
I... is this like, a show theory that someone came up with? Or are you talking like, in general mythology?
(Edit: I realized I postured this from the angle of assuming we’re talking about the widely received idea of Lucifer in modern culture; if I was wrong about that, lemme know -- I do drift into the NONCHRISTIAN Greek Lucifer as well, which you’ve seen me talk about with Phanes before on this blog)
I’ve never heard a serious statement (or at least one that held up if gently poked) about this as much as a general correlation (IE, Promethean deities if you will, which would correspond Lucifer to Loki, though I highly disagree with that assessment for other reasons as well) -- or various theory parallels where the Jotun are parallel to everything from Titans to Nephilim.
Generally the Luciferian/Satanic iconization of Loki came from later transcriptions of eddas by Christian monks. Then again, the idea of Satan himself came from the jews taking on Zoroastrian beliefs after captivity so fuck all flips table
The last thing I’ve seen that tried to draw any kind of correlation about it had some nonsense trying to equate Azazel to Hermes too and a whole other mess of madness.
Without tracking the anthropology and etymology of a situation though, you end up with a mess, and there’s a lot of those out there. If you google long and hard enough, Lucifer is everyone. He’s Cronus, he’s Hyperion, he’s Prometheus, he’s Loki, he’s like half the native american spirits, he’s also somehow half the angels and demons in the bible and apocryphal scripture, depending on how far down a rabbit hole someone wants to go, he’s Santa or a tempting sandwich on tuesdays.
Tumblr media
This got long so I’m putting it behind a cut -- it seems to drift but to truly answer this ask, or more answer why I don’t even have a direct statement to answer it, required some -- explanation and history
Helel is a stronger thing to lean into for example. The anthropology tracks, the mythos tracks, etc. Hell, look up Jewish beliefs on fallen angels, satan, lucifer or whatever and realize Christianity has really taken judaism for a joyride while gluing shit over their homework. Hell like, check out the history of jewish captivity under Nebuchadnezzar II and how Zoroastrianism influenced judaism/the very belief of satan/eventual conflation with Lucifer -- there’s debate on whether the Morning Star, mentioned as the King of Babylon, who made them work and toil, was Nebuchadnezzar himself. Which would make, Lucifer, um. Some king dude that died 2600 years ago, give or take.
I am-- very slow to draw angelic associations. That’s not to say they don’t happen. You can, say, track the fall of the grigori and follow their mentioned path to egypt where they "became kings”, and follow which ones disseminated into which cultures how by comparing their attributes, sure. But with something like, say, Lucifer, which is a mythological clusterfuck to itself, considering everything in the public mind about Lucifer modernly is an amalgam of everything from multiple names in the same sacred text to adaptations from influencing religions/weird reads on the transcriptions from people that didn’t know their history/etc, I’m not gonna be like LUCIFER IS JOTUN any more than LUCIFER IS A TITAN or LUCIFER IS A NEPHILIM.
Could there be a correlation for that? Sure I guess. But of the many things I have studied or dealt with, I’ve seen some shit. I’ve seen some SHIT. And never once have I encountered a Lucifer that was legit, if you believe in spoopy shit. Various shit loves using the name as a quick cred card but that’s the equivalent of a nigerian prince facebook scam that’s totes in the US Army Doug David Donnie Darko Davis, very believable.  But you know what? I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s Lucifer these days. Whoever was identified as it originally 1. probably put on magical witness protection and changed names by now 2. has been utterly lost by time and has been replaced more with a /concept/ than a /being/. But the modern concepts are so vague it’s like hiding a blue chip in a pool, have fun finding it, and I’ve definitely never been compelled to do so.
I’m sure racially speaking one could say “angels might be aesir” “demons might be jotun” and draw a reasonable argument about it with enough effort, but that’d be more like... systemic translation of thousands-years-old stories traveled over the lands, at which point the question is less “Is Lucifer Jotun?” and more “What would the Aesir and Jotun be in abrahamic text equivalency?”
Curiously I’ve never seen anybody go bananas over this shit to find correlations for anything ~other~ than Christian-outward -- Christian texts always want to make their people everybody else’s people, but nobody is fighting to be referenced by christianity and even less are trying to compare say, Zoroastrianism or Islam or anything else to what gods THEY might be -- even though Zoroastrianism is literally where half this stuff came from, where ideas of archangelic-like creatures and archdemons came from, where the afterlife, where it all came from. So I struggle, deeply, to associate Lucifer with anything specific for a long, long list of reasons but find this a particularly weird thing. Like when’s the last time you heard a muslim or taoist or any other major world religion right now go out and be like “YOU KNOW WHO I THINK (ENTITY) IS, I BET ITS THIS GREEK/NORSE DUDE RIGHT HERE”-- it’s just a Christian culture thing?? IDK???
And again sometimes it’s even /valid/ but I just-- Lucifer is such a Topic(TM) to me. Because to me, he’s a concept, an idea, an archetype, but if there ever was an individual Lucifer that dude got himself a face transplant and fucked off a long time ago IMO so good luck
cuz like
Interpretations of a similar term in the Hebrew Bible, translated in the King James Version as "Lucifer" as a proper name, led to a Christian tradition of applying the name Lucifer, and its associated stories of a fall from heaven, to Satan, but modern scholarship generally translates the term in the relevant Bible passage, (Isaiah 14:12), as "morning star" or "shining one" rather than as a proper name, "Lucifer".
As a name for the Devil, the more common meaning in English, "Lucifer" is the rendering of the Hebrew word הֵילֵל‎ (transliteration: hêylêl; pronunciation: hay-lale) in Isaiah (Isaiah 14:12) given in the King James Version of the Bible. The translators of this version took the word from the Latin Vulgate, which translated הֵילֵל by the Latin word lucifer (uncapitalized) meaning "the morning star, the planet Venus", or, as an adjective, "light-bringing".
As a name for the planet in its morning aspect, "Lucifer" (Light-Bringer) is a proper name and is capitalized in English. In Greco-Roman civilization, it was often personified and considered a god and in some versions considered a son of Aurora (the Dawn). A similar name used by the Roman poet Catullus for the planet in its evening aspect is "Noctifer" (Night-Bringer).
You’d probably have a better chance of coherently inferring that Lucifer is actually Inanna or Ishtar the goddess, as Venus, or that Lucifer is Aphrodite. ORIGINALLY IT WAS FUCKING HELEL.
A suggested methodology on this: Never ever ever start from Christian texts. Like ever. Much less without at least a single Daf Yomi run to actually understand the jewish texts before it got super renovated and had white-out slapped all over it. Christianity generally perished anything after it, or at best attached like a symbiote until the host entity or belief was gone. Hell, sometimes the greecoroman Lucifer is the son of Eoster. Sound familiar? Hot take: Lucifer is Easter confirmed Easter is Satan worship.
See how that can be kinda... faulty? If you want to understand it though-- figure out where the same concept went? GO BACKWARDS. Never go FORWARDS. Pick up those christian and jewish texts and go. BACKWARDS. Akkadian. Babylonian. Because once you realize what was clipped out of other faiths, you can go back to that core deity and start figuring out where it branched off in other directions than eventually being kidnapped into the messianic cult bag. THEN go forward in time and realize that christianity is just an itty bitty teeny tiny branch of our history, it just swamped us over time via extermination. So you can find Lucifer as just about anyone, because respectively, ask a room full of rabbis and pastors to write down every time Lucifer is mentioned by name in original text form in the bible before translation and rendition. The rabbis are gonna giggle and the pastors are gonna be deadass wrong, sorry.
You wanna play a game? “Is Asmodeus Aesir?”
folds arms I’ma let you sit here scratching your heads about that for a while.
Because it’s gonna take going backwards. Who was the babylonian form of Asmodeus? When did the name ASMODEUS happen? What name did it have even in jewish texts? Or which branch of names? What did that deity evolve into in less calvinistic or messianic circles? Yes, you can track this. Yes, you CAN find how it translated into greece far and away from abrahamic or calvinistic influence, or to the vikings, or anyone else if you chase the crumbs enough, but again, there’s-- entire things to review about systemic beliefs and translations/hot takes. Same shit, different label in most places, sure, but-- eh.
Ranting a bit at this point but if anyone takes anything out of this:
Pinpoint when/where/why names originated
Go backwards first, not forward
Find the anchor belief/origin/story
Find where it branched
respect the branches and deviations as unique renditions within cultures while equally respecting the fact that there’s some truth in all beliefs and we’re all trying to describe the same shit. So could Lucifer be Jotun, I guess. But we’d have to hold nuanced discussion about the journey of the narrative from A to B and how the Aesir and Jotun correspond at large.
Anthropology and etymology are key. Where did people travel, how did they write, what did it mean. Don’t look only for very specific affiliations.
Hell let me take a quote from-- a place.
Here is how a pantheon actually comes together.
First deity: “Shit. My people were conquered and my religion just blowed up. I’m out of a job”
Second deity: “Me too.”
Third deity: “Hey, you look like that Lightning God the mortals in that place over there are telling stories about.”
Two deities at the same time: “We’re lightning gods too, though!”
Third deity: “Well, shit. You, on the left, you’re better looking. Best you be in charge.”
First deity: “Screw you! I’m bigger than all of you!”
Second deity: “Whatever. You’re a thug. Go rule the sea.”
First deity: “What? I’m a god of paternity!”
Second deity: “Paternity’s moist. That’s very similar.”
Meanwhile, you guys on Earth are all like, “Oh, Hermes is younger than Apollon.” Like its a fact. Like I wasn’t some Proto-Indo-Eurpean god of Penises and Serpents and outcroppings of stone long before anyone was ever speaking Greek.
And while we’re at the bastardized rerolling of mythologies, most heavily performed by christianity, I point you to that last line, regarding Baal Peor, and raise you:
youtube
If people noticed that video was sassier than normal, there’s a reason.
Let’s say you had a super interesting life and people kept telling your story, but over time, as it spread around the world, the telephone game got warped into several very different things. In some you’re even the villain, in some you have a giant dick, and in others you saved the world. All of these were somehow inspired by you and your story, but none of the people at the end of the story are necessarily ~you~. But someone has to figure out where the story started to find who ~you~ are, even if there’s tales of things you did, or supposedly did, all over the place. And sometimes people also take any word that sounds like your name and make it you. So if your name was Ted, you’d also end up with all kinds of shit like Bed Dead Fed Head Jed Lead Ned Red Wed and Zed when they come up suddenly all get replaced by the word/name Ted and that’s it, that’s your mythology.

Tumblr media
He had been your friend since you were little, and how did you meet?
To be completely honest, you didn’t really remember. You sorta just met him on your way back home from school, and from then on you spoke to him through the sewer drains on the side of the streets. But once your parents caught you, you were walked to school from than on. You hadn’t seen him since high school, as your parents kept you under lock and key. The memory of a green turtle/human thing, with a blue banana that covered his head, had begun to fade away. He might have been the only friend you had at that age, because you were a peculiar child and most kids stayed away from you. But as you droned on through the years of high school, you wished that the distant memory of a child happily chatting with her turtle friend were true, were real.
High School was a bore and sucked the life out of you, you were terrible at math, social skills and, of course, boys. So throughout freshman year you were bullied, you were used to it though. The whispering and pointing were normal to you, children were cruel and you learned that the hard way. However, through junior year, you changed, you grew up. Your drastic changed through the summer was surprising, even for yourself but your mother helped you with everything. The kids at school were intrigued by your beautiful transition. You were like an ugly duckling, growing up to be a beautiful swan. The positive attention was new, not unwelcome but unsettling. You were still awkward and kept mostly to yourself and your art. just the way you liked it. Though you were well aware that the attention was biased and petty, the students only spoke to you because you were prettier and more confident with yourself. This did sting, having never gotten positive attention because no one wanted to get to know you for you, was easy to accept, but to learn that you never got any attention because people believed you were ugly? Hurt. It was hard to accept. But looking back at your pictures as a child, you noticed how wrong the kids at school really were. You weren’t ugly, you were unkempt, wild and free. Like every child should be. So, you finally grew up and worked on the assists you had, which was fine! But you were never ugly.
After a football game, you were keeping the time of the game, you were exhausted and began packing your things to go home. Strangely the boys of the team had come back from the locker room after you helped put the time and points equipment away. You paid the rowdy- probably drunk- boys no mind. Taking your things and walking out of the field and going home. After awhile you noticed a car strangely following you, as you stopped to look into your bag the car also stopped. you were being followed, no doubt about it. In a state of panic in the strangely quiet streets of New York, you turned and walked the other direction like you had read about before when a car follows you. Your heart fell from your chest and down into your stomach, and hammered a beat from there when you heard the tires of the car brake harshly and switch gears.
You ran, knowing that the only way to lose a car would be to head into an alley. If they were smart, the perpetrator would leave you in the alleys and search for other prey. But perhaps tonight just wasn’t your lucky night. You were shaken to the core when the car stopped at the alley entrance you entered and the doors opened. All of them except for the driver spilled out of the truck. The Football team, obviously drunk and hungry for something you were afraid you’d be able to provide. Running down another alley way, your flight or fight instincts taking place perfectly, when you came up to a dead end, the tears began showing. Dread ran through your spine, the adrenaline you felt as you ran away, giving way for your fear. “No, no, no, no”, you whispered. You refused to live like a wimp, you didn’t want this to happen. You were going to raped and possibly killed, thrown in a hole in the ground and forgotten forever. You clutched at your bag beside you, going through all the pastel drawings you ever made in your mind. Remembering all the emotions you ever had while making them, all the drawings and paintings you had hung up in your room. God, they would be the only thing with your legacy on them, the only thing left that you held pride in. Your artwork, your mother, your father, and the only friend you ever had who genuinely cared about you. A long lost memory you were sure was just a dream.
The drunk boys crept closer to the end of the alley, calling out your name like a tune and you couldn’t help the tears that were rolling down your cheeks. This was it…
As they turned the corner after you, Leonardo heard the name, the familiar name. From that friend all those years ago. The one who drew for him and his brothers. The one who brought things from the outside world for them to see as kids. The brothers all looked at the frozen leader curiously, perhaps they did not remember the name or the (y/h/t) (y/h/c). But it did not matter, whoever you were, you were in trouble and you needed help. Leo turned to look at his brothers, they all gave a stiff nod, they agreed to help.
As the human boys spotted you, the brothers dropped from below and wrestled with them. Knocking them out safely, ensuring that they would not be able to follow you home again, an easy defeat, the football players were clumsy and drunk. But as Leo turned to see expected you, running in fear, you stood still, watching intently.
“I wasn’t imagining it, then…” The other boys turned to look at you, as you mumbled.
“Y-Your real!” Your tears were long gone. Your wet eyelashes a huge contrast to your huge grin. The boys took a step back as you reached in to your bag.
Pulling out a big sketch book and flipping through the pages. Finally finding the wispy and green pastel portrait of Leo that you could remember from the almost forgotten memory of him as a child. Turning the sketchbook around, showing the picture of free lance painting of Leo in an attempt to gain there trust. The picture had a strange point of vision, where the green human creature had a big darker green back, small and innocent with a bright blue bandanna covering the creatures bald head. It was Leo alright, but nobody had the courage to say so.
“I-it’s me (y/n), are you Leo? I remembered you as a child, I always knew you were real, not just some child fantasy!” You were ecstatic and Leo was still frozen, thankfully his brothers took over for him. Trying themselves to remember you, and even though you hardly remember their names you do remember their distinctive colors. Almost like their own brands, or merchandise. The other boys smiled at your work and quickly warmed up to you, clearly remembering your name all of the sudden.
Leo watched from a distance, he had always remembered you, his first human friend. The first person who wanted to be his friend other than his brothers. He had felt a connection to you as a child, growing close to you before his brothers found out about you and hogged you. Excited to meet the human child. He never realized that you’d remember all of them, that you’d remember him.
How could this be? You remembered them after all this time, after the many years. You were still in elementary school, and Leo hadn’t even begun his training when he met you. How did you manage to remember? Did he and his brothers actually mean something to you, that you had remembered the memories as a highlight in your life. If this was the case, something just might have jumped in Leo's chest.
~
After some time hanging out with you and the other brothers getting to know you, you were practically family. Raph’s loud voice scared you sometimes, some more than others. Mikey’s energy also made you skittish at first. However the boys learned to coax you in and you learned to expect the booming voices and unexpected touches. Though Donnie was very soft spoken, he tended to have his outburst from time to time. Which were a lot harder to become accustomed too. Most of the time you were with Leo, and most of the time you were drawing so you never bothered him. He enjoyed being your favorite.
You both had gotten as close as you were when you were kids and you were ecstatic to be with your old friend again. No longer floating around a group of snobby girls who tried to gain your trust just to stab you in the back, you had real friends now.
You were an artist, and in artist always drew what they loved and what they found beautiful. Their art was to be transparent and honest. Every artist needed a muse. And who else would be the unfortunate victim to your sketching? Thankfully, realistic still-art was your obsession at the moment and Leo was the only person you knew who could stay still for more than thirty minutes. He was your muse, and after hours of staring and watching, you were never satisfied. Time and time again you were mesmerized by the strong muscles of his shoulders, the stern look in his eyebrows and the beautiful blue his irises held.
It wasn’t long until your sketch book was filled with him in every page and your feelings of loyalty for your friend turned into love.
~
One night as you shaded in a forgotten drawing you had made of Leo from memory-a beautiful sketch that had the leader in blue sweating and panting in pleasure. You had seen his exhausted face after an intense training. But all you could see at the moment was his pleasure ridden face on the page. You finished it and were very proud of your masterpiece. But once you remembered that this was no stranger on the page, this was your friend. You were being invasive, daydreaming of such scenarios. It was wrong. Quickly hiding it away as you picked up another unfinished piece that was less heated to patch up. Perching on your fire escape for the late night breeze in the hot summer night, you had started the sketch a day you had watched Leo meditate as he waited for you to come up to the rooftop, you felt bad making him wait to draw, but you didn’t regret it right now. You shaded and finished the last bits of his eyes, which you had memorized by heart. Coloring the blue of his eyes, unsatisfied with the exact shade of blue, which would never live up to the real thing. The blue was never light enough, but the neon light blue never held the life of his eyes either. You huffed out in pain at another failure to recreate his eyes.
“I think it’s spot on,'' a voice whispered into your ear. You yelped and jumped in fear, almost splitting your head on your windowsill, but a three fingered green hand blocked your forehead from hitting the edge.
You looked up in horror, he knows. He knows you’ve been stalking him to draw him now, he must think your creep now- “I didn’t know you were this good, you’ve got talent!” Leo already knew you drew him from time to time, though sometimes he didn’t notice. He knew you weren’t actually in the bathroom that long! You had been drawing him! You gaped at him, in complete horror, he’s lying. “I don’t know how you manage to make them seem so real,” he took a seat next to you. Your cheeks flushed and you had no idea how to respond.
“Your a really good muse, you don’t move much, and you have a knack to pose when your resting.” You whispered it to him, he barely heard it. He turned to smile at you. “Well it’s an honor to be your ‘muse’”. He thinks your a creep. You pushed your insecurities away, your friend wouldn’t lie. His calm demeanor and reassurance helped you to smile back, to find some backbone and talk. You both spent the night talking about the other boys and the sketches you never got done of them. You really did try to draw them, but each time was a failure.
“Man, your really something (y/n), out all of us you pick to draw big ol’ me. A mutant and a horrible monster. I’m flattered!” you chuckled and put a hand on his, “you aren’t a monster Leo, you’re more like a knight”
He blushed as he looked away and you looked to your dangling feet bashfully, you might have taken that a little too far. Panic rising slowly growing in your chest threaten to spill, until you felt a three fingered hand grab your own. “Than i guess that makes you the princess..” you blushed as he smiled bashfully. Maybe your fantasies of Leo weren’t so far fetched at all.

Can you recommend me some good tv shows or movies that get you hooked
Wow, I’m surprised to find a gem in my ask box, thank you for that anon~. I will separate the list by types of media (movie/TV series) so it can be easier to classify.
And they will have different styles, so you can just look for something that fits your mood
TV Series
Sharp Objects: I love Amy Adams. She’s such a queen and the roles she gets are superb. This series is based on a book of the same name written by the author of Gone Girl. It’s about a journalist who has a lot of traumas and needs to go back to her hometown to report some murders that are happening there. The vibe of this series is really good. If you like mystery/suspense this is a good catch. Just has one season, so you can marathon it well (mystery/drama/suspense. TW to self harm).
Mindhunter: I really like serial killer stories and this is based in real life events. Basically it show how the perception we have now of serial killers started to exist, in terms of how now the police tries to understand the mind of the person. So we see a lot of real life serial killers portraited there and mixes of the main characters personal lives. I didn’t watch the second season yet, but the first one got me hooked well. It’s not fightening, but it may describe some unsettling scenes, so if you are sensitive just ignore this one;
100 Days of My Prince: I’m just enjoying the opportunity to mention this drama and I know I’m cheating but idc. I don’t care much about kdramas and I’m not recommending this just because Kyungsoo is in it. Far from it. I’m doing it because I started watching it at 2 pm and finished at 11 pm of the same day (with my hack techniques but ok) bc I just couldn’t stop. Loved the Woon Deuk/ Lee Yeol and Hongshim, the side characters, the villains, the plot. I admit the last episode was weak compared with the rest but not enough to not recommend this and want to watch it again. (mystery/romance/drama)
Dark: OMG THIS IS PERFECT. AMAZING. NO WORDS. If you love time traveling and just stuff that will mindfuck your brain, GIVE IT A CHANCE. I was traveling at the time I started to watch this masterpiece and I gave up many opportunities of sightseeing to watch the two seasons. Yes, it’s that good (mystery/time travel/mind fuck).
The Perfectionist: I’m recommending this more for the Pretty Little Liars nostalgia than because of it’s quality and because I got hooked by it. There’s also the book, but the series makes a link with PLL when they put Alison DiLaurentis as a main character. There’s some references, mystery, some romance too. A similar formula. But you can give it a try, it makes no harm (suspense/mystery/romance/drama/teen);
Banana Fish (ANIME): ok, I know it’s an anime but it has 24 episodes and a good story. It was designed by the same studio that did Yuuri on Ice and you can see the similarities on the drawing style. The characters are catchy, the plot instigates you to keep watching the next until the end. The second half of it didn’t please me TOO much, but it’s still really good. It mentions some heavy themes like minor prostitution, but I like the way this subject is shown. (action/mafia/drama).
MOVIES
Joker: because WHY NOT. This movie is just too good. Period. Could feel how raw Joaquin Phoenix was during his interpretation, the themes spoken without being sappy, the catharsis. Phenomenal even if you don’t like super hero movies. This isn’t even a super hero movie but ok.
Doukyuusei: it’s so sweet, so pure, it makes me want to fall in love every time. It’s an anime beautiful portraited and just beautiful, tender, soft. I recommend reading the manga that fills out a few blanks the movie has tho (anime/romance/”yaoi”).
The Lobster:  Really good. It’s a dystopic romance, which discuss about it and the lack of it. The messages it has touched my heart tenderly, it can be raw but beautifully raw. Loved it (drama/romance/dystopic);
Get Out: watched three times and it gives you an uncomfortable feeling you know? Of knowing that something will happen, something is wrong and nothing is right. Loved the acting and the way the tension is built (suspense/terror [sort of]);
Batman Begins: that will be the last superhero movie I recommend. I know everyone LOVES dark knight and I like it too, sort of. But everyone seems to sleep on Batman Begins???? Unacceptable. The atmosphere, how they built Bruce Wayne/Batman duality, Gothan being like a living being. It marked me more than the dark knight and you can see it became an inspiration to other movies that came after that (action/super hero).
Donnie Darko: one of my favorite movies of all time. Donnie is weird, but I think everyone can see a bit of themselves on him. The soundtrack is amazing, right gold from the 80s (weird/paralel universes).
American Psycho: a rich mothefucker is surrounded by other rich mothefuckers who compete between themselves to see who’s richer. What could go wrong? A classic and still have messages for us today without being whiny and political correct (terror/slasher/crazy shit).
Moulin Rouge: the last one because I want to give other options and this is an amazing musical/romance story. Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman make such a couple here it warms and hurts my soul every time.

hey Tumblr have my headcanons or something
there's a whole lot
donnie has a shell specifically for giving himself massages.
leo has put a portal inside of a portal before, purely because donnie was curious as to what would happen
raph knows how to draw one thing: very small cats.
mikey had like a week where he really liked customizing LPS figurines but he stopped because he was sad about having to wipe off the faces before repainting them.
donnie's first weapon he ever used was a broken broom handle. the first enemy he ever defeated was a moth that got into his bag of pretzels.
leo chose to use a katana as his main weapon because of one piece.
raph is the only one who hasn't thrown anything at his wall.
mikey learned how to fight with a Wii nunchuck before he even learned that real nunchucks were a thing
donnie and raph had a Warhammer 40k phase together.
mikey and donnie like sitting in each other's rooms and telling eachother their ideas for future projects
mikey and leo went as the yoyo man and his apprentice for halloween one year
mikey and raph give eachother lessons on how to cook things (mikey knows how to do savory dishes but can't make sweets whatsoever, and vice versa for raph)
raph and leo watch the all of the barbie movies annually (on november 24th)
leo and donnie love to prank eachother by hiding tiny figurines in eachothers room. donnie has a bunch of tiny bananas that've been taped to leo's ceiling for three years. he still hasn't noticed.
OK I THINK THAT'S EVERYTHING !!

Dart Adams presents The Top 50 Hip Hop Albums, EP’s & Mixtapes Of 2009 (The Final Top 200)
This is a list of what I consider to be the Top 200 Hip Hop LP’s, EP’s & mixtapes from this year so far. Please keep in mind that in order for me to even narrow this list to 200 I had to exclude all instrumental albums with the exception of Exile’s “Radio” (as it could’ve easily been Album Of The Year) otherwise it would’ve just been ridiculous and impossible to narrow to just 200 Hip Hop albums. This is the final time I do this, after three years I’m sure you all get the point I’m trying to make by now.
Also keep in mind that I’ve heard slightly less than 700 different projects this calendar year (my gmail account was bananas). I’m sure that my Bloggerhouse brethren Eric & Travis have quite a few projects in mind that I missed. That should give you all an idea as to just how deep 2009 was with quality material that you probably never even heard of.
In the comments section feel free to gripe, bitch and/or moan about Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Wale, Fabolous, Busta Rhymes or “insert wack rapper’s name here” lackluster ass album not being in my top 200. Also feel free to add albums, EP’s & mixtapes I missed (like Pill’s). I head mad albums that are still in my rotation that missed this cut (Moka Only made so many albums I stopped him at one so “Summer Notations”, “Carrots & Eggs” & Ron Contour’s”Hot Dog” aren’t on this list).
I’m sure listened to WAY more Hip Hop than you this year (and I probably suffered irreparable damage because of it). All you gotta do to check every Friday of 2009 (both the reviews & Late Passes (For Doz Dat Slept) sections) on this blog for proof. Enjoy (or don’t) my final Poisonous Paragraphs list:
