Super big fan of your art. Especially the Lilith and Darius besties artwork. Their relationship reminds me of the one I have with my best friend and everyone assumes we're dating when we're not.

But something him and I agree on is that the next time makes a romantic jab at us we'll play along like "Oh yeah, I've known them for [x] amount of years. They mean everything to me, and I love them with every fiber of my being and couldn't imagine a world without them, so let me introduce you to MY BEST FRIEND."

Qi Ye ensemble cast poster, second edition

Yet another one of those LOL Qi Ye just has that power over me. You know the drill; more info below!

I'll go straight to the point: my main reason to draw this was because I wanted to draw the most somber, dark-looking Helian Qi possible with some dark cross-hatching effect. And because I don't want to draw a Helian Qi solo image because who the HELL does that, I had to turn it into an ensemble cast thing again. I just REALLY like to do that for Qi Ye, for some reasons!!! For a general note, first: shading was a PAIN but making a nice composition and thinking about how to make a hierarchy that both works in terms of storytelling and visual composition was fun. I also liked finding out the "color scheme" to use and I do like lineart. So, now, little notes about each character, and the obligatory name poster just so I'm sure we all know whom I'm talking about:

Jing Beiyuan: I've mentioned it before but drawing Beiyuan is like. The easiest for me, I think, out of ALL Qi Ye/TYK characters combined. He happens to have my general goto "pretty face" (which conveniently has peach blossom eyes). I'm happy with how he turned out here! And got to put the sable around his neck which makes for a nice additional touch. Helian Yi: He's easy to draw as well and I'm glad with how the guan turned out. He initally looked sideways, but I liked it better having him wistfully stare into the distance. Helian Zhao: has the exact same face as in the other, coloured poster, and that cracks me up bc that wasn't even intentional. Helian Pei: GDI I find him so hilarious. He looks so done and out of it. Shout out to all his bird as well, which, I find, really complete the look. Helian Qi: I can't possibly say that I love him as an antagonist because there's nothing to love about this literal trash, but I'm still grateful that we got some of the most rancid stuff going on in Qi Ye just because of him and I'm always here for that. He deserves the villain visual treatment, at least. He was VERY fun to draw and I tried to push that nasty grin and shading as much as possible. He turned out exactly how I wanted him to! (the shading on his face and the balance of light and shadow was a bit of a challenge, actually)

Wuxi: Again, a rather easy one, always pleasant to draw! I loved working on his hair (but complained a lot while doing so)--which I think turned out nicely. Bai Wuchang: Finally! Finally I draw him!! He had to be there, since he's like. The base of the whole Qi Ye plot. Lining him was....... a pain, but at least it looks nice.

Su Qingluan: nothing much to say--I think it's always important to have her there in Qi Ye stuff, and I put her next to Helian Zhao because of how he tried using her--but it did make me feel bad for her when I realised that. Song Ping'an: The real star of the show, lowkey, but always alert and present. Feng Xiaoshu: FINALLY. PRINCESS JING'AN. I'm sorry I took so long to draw her. I want to work on a proper design, I swear. To make up for having completely forgotten to include her in the other spread. I'm so sorry. I like how her face turned out! Liang Jiuxiao: I never, ever, EVER get enough of drawing him. Have I mentioned how much I like him? How much of a great surprise he was reading Qi Ye? How many times I've wanted to high five because finally someone is as confused as I am? I love drawing this very specific smile on him, SO satisfying. Also Bichen said he was "THE Qi Ye antagonist" and I live for that LOL Zhou Zishu: do I really need to say anything atp Jiang Xue: I'm so sorry I put Xiao Xue next to ZZS. The cruelty. But she came out really cute didn't she T_T Anyway that's it. I'm still obsessed with Qi Ye and given my current (totally secret) retranslation project I'm nowhere near done going crazy about this book.

@cosmicrain-draws @otherxagnela Remember that fusion idea? Im writing out the first chapter rn, and I'm making it a Steven Universe AU. I'm hopefully going to make it a 5 part thing, if I'm able to restrain myself. I'm planning for it to be separate from the shows plot. Here's the original AU idea below!

Scarab is called Painite in this AU. He was made by Pink Diamond as a War General during the Gem War in an attempt to keep up face. He's basically the same just with added loyalty to PD. I'm going to keep him on Earth, more on that later. He is very good at what he does, and I like to think his main power is that he's very very good at shifting his shape and becoming any gem as long as his own gem is covered. I'm saying he can change his red skin to yellow instead of it being red in the new form and can make a fake gem anywhere on his body. A kinda of spy ability, if you will. He doesn't use it often as shifting is exhausting outside of work (and he doesn't have a lot of practice with it as Amathyst does) so he mainly just sticks as a front-lines fighter (even though he's a general, he's fantastic at fighting, so he joins his fellow gems in the main fights instead of being on the sidelines). He has wings, absolutely he does. And his gem got cracked in the war, taking his ability to fly away, like Lapis. I like to think his weapon is like his canon Cyrstal device, as his gem weapon can change into anything he wants it to be. He mainly either keeps it as a spear, a scythe, or an axe. Mainly a scythe tho

Prismo is a bit of a mix for me, can't really decide what gem he should be. So far, I'm going to make him a sapphire. Specifically, a Star Saphire. He was a gift from Blue Diamond to Pink to help with her wartime planning and attacks as he is a lot better at seeing the outcomes of things than other sapphires. His power (other than the future vision thing which he doesn't use cuz it gives him a headache) would be similar to Time-Woods Sīdus. I like to think he can make things, like he can make anything using his gem as long as he either has the right raw materials (which can be anything) or enough energy. He can make everything, ranging from weapons, clothes, to anything you can think of. Even food, but he doesn't make that a lot cuz it grosses him out. At the start of his time with Pink, he acts exactly as he's made, scared that he'll be shattered since he's really the first of his kind. After some time, he and Pearl start talking about how great Pink is (Star wouldn't fawn over her, as he really has no loyalties to any of the Diamonds other than to himself) and he would eventually notices how unhappy she is. Cue them being attacked, and he learns that Pink is actually Rose Quartz. Instead of shattering him, she offers him freedom if he helps with the gem rebellion. He'd take it, hating the oppressing atmosphere of Homeworld, and become the Wishmaster amongst the gems. He'd get that title because he can make, as I said before, anything, and that includes a milder version of Rose's healing tears. Cracked gems would come to him to get healed, he'd help plan attacks on Homeworld forces, and he'd make anything they needed whenever things were going too fast for them. He earns his place in the Crystal Gems and becomes part of the main gang, always seen by Pearl and Rose. His gem weapon would be a similar thing in Seraphyllic, him making 2D versions of his hands and swinging them like a mad man. Painite would have one hell of a time trying to get a hit on Star.

After the war, Painite gets left behind and would survive the diamond blast by hiding deep under the crust of the earth. He would still get corrupted somewhat, which would give him his more buggy features. Star would survive because Rose would pull him under her shield as well and would start just wandering the Earth after all of it is said and done. They accidentally meet when Painite searches for a cure. Of course, Painite sees Star as a traitor and attacks, ending with Star poofing Painite, but not shattering him. Painite's crack wouldn't be healed by Star just yet, I want that to be an intimate moment. Painite would definitely glitch out because of the crack and turn more savage because of the corruption, temporarily losing his mind whenever he got too overwhelmed. Of course, Star is always there to calm him down.

I'm still finicky about the plot, but so far, I'm making Painite go around Earth during the peace and hunt down the other corrupted gems, think the diamonds would heal them once he'd get back to Homeworld. And Star would just be wandering around, exploring Earth and leaving his own little rsster eggs that Painite sees and is always confused about. Yes, Painite still thinks there are no other non corrupted gems on Earth.

Lemme know if you've got any of your own ideas and stuff. I went for a Steven Universe AU cuz I got absolutely stumped on how I could make their shadow versions fuse in a way we haven't seen already. Great work on that art btw, Rain!

Hello! I saw that matchups were open and thought I'd send in a request for Twisted Wonderland.

Appearance-wise I am a 165 cm tall, average build, Bangladeshi woman (She/her but also cool with they/them). I have wavy black hair that just reaches below my shoulders and I usually dress in South Asian attire, usually salwar-kameez plus a hijab. I also wear glasses. I don't really feel comfortable going out without them 😅

Personality traits: Calm, collected, polite, quiet, shy (but that can easily be mistaken for being aloof or done with everyone's shit (they aren't entirely wrong about the latter) (someone told me I radiate black cat energy), not very facially expressive (I'm the most emotional emotionless person I know. I do feel things more deeply than people give me credit for), a good listener, hardworking (I often bite off more than I can chew and end up burnt out), intelligent (especially with numbers. RIP impostor syndrome + gifted kid burnout syndrome. As much as I love my major, electrical engineering is kicking my ass). I am also the oldest of three sisters, so I'm good at handling kids (I'm also expected to be the perfect daughter, so... yea). When you spoke about being an older sibling, it immediately reminded me of Kalim, and eventually I thought he might work!

Kalim, in all honesty, needs to work on how he handles himself around more reserved people. However, I think that the way you described your ideal partner lead me to think that Kalim was the best option.

Kalim is kind, generous, and is always looking out for the people he loves (even if he can be a tad dense at times.)

Kalim might be rather... erm... how can I say this in a polite way. stupid? Stupid in an endearing way. He'd always find time to make you happy and attend to your needs, however. He often says that teamwork is a valuable thing, and that's even truer in a relationship.

Despite often being unaware of the people around him, I think that after Jamil, Kalim is much more patient when it comes to listening to others, and is better at pulling his own weight. So, Kalim makes an effort to better make you comfortable since he knows your introverted nature can contrast with his own more extroverted one.

Kalim would always make time for you, ask your preferences for things, and generally try to make you as happy as possible. Kalim loves to have fun, and he has the most fun when he's with the people he loves, and that's you!

Receiving personally made gifts from you would make him incredibly happy, and to him they would be worth more than all of the treasures his family has.

Oftentimes, Kalim can treat you like a younger sibling moreso than a romantic partner, however, it's because he loves you and doesn't entirely get romance.

I really like the idea of a lot of them being mythical creatures, it’s so fun to draw them as mythical creatures! I decided to give you guys the roles all the characters play in this au.

Ed - Half dragon that is learning magic

Ed, like his sister is half dragon. He had more human features but he still has visible horns and sharp teeth. He wears a cloak and wizard hat with star and moon designs all over them.

He practices magic and mainly learns from the picture books he reads. He somehow learns way better from pictures than he does from actual spell books and actual magic classes.

Edd - Lizard Human Hybrid

Edd specializes in potions, and usually is a big help whenever you need a remedy for healing, strength, etc. He mostly is going on adventures with his two best friends.

Eddy - Jester

When he isn’t entertaining the royalty, he is usually scamming the towns people or stealing with the help of his two friends.

Kevin - Royal Guard in Training

He’s usually riding around on his horse or is training to be the top guard.

Rolf - Faun

His family had recently traveled up to the village know as “Peach Creek”, where he meets his new friends. He is mostly seen at his farm, but sometimes has the free time to goof off with Kevin and Nazz.

Nazz - Mermaid

She is usually found near the ocean talking with the village boys who make attempts to date her, she usually brushes them all off. When she isn’t being flirted with she’s usually hanging out with Kevin whenever he isn’t training.

Jimmy prefers to be referred to as a princess and wear a princess dress as he thinks it makes him look more royal. He enjoys long walks in his garden or secretly running off to go enjoy his time with his friends of Peach Creek.

She is very fond of gold and treasure and tends to hide it from everyone else, although she gives Jimmy some when she feels generous. She has the more dragon features out of her and Ed.

Jonny - Elf

He is usually found in the woods hanging out with his buddy, Plank. He can clone himself using certain spells, and is quite helpful with direction or when you are lost in the woods.

The three sisters are usually in their cottage far into the woods plotting their next evil plan against the people of Peack Creek.

I wanna start with ZZ’s general aura and disposition during the wrap, and how happy he was. It’s really nice to see him be among a group of people that seems to dote on him and that he can be comfortable with. You can probably see some double standard talk going around, that yes, during CQL wrap, he was also happy — however, in the last day, there were moments that they both looked sad. Also the airport photos of GG next day where his eyes were swollen — from crying probably. Add one of the CPNs that they both cried when the filming ended inside their car. So yeah. As much as I see him happy, it brings me back to the bittersweet ending of CQL. I won’t add any video/photo evidence of this anymore because it’s a well-known fandom CPN.

I also just remembered how much of a jiejie collector XZ is. LOL. If WYB collects geges, then XZ collects jiejies. That’s what I noticed with his interactions towards his co-star. I think she’s another jiejie who is now doting on XZ. 😂😂😂😂

Moving on to the other CPN clues, starting with some usual fandom symbols that we see. I love adding those to every post because it shows how consistent they are. for example the logo animation of XZS where GG talks about the Moon. like how many times did we make a CPN between them connected to the 🌙? these might be hard to spot for new turtles or those who aren’t into cpns.

sunflower, the legendary fan given by wyb, red heart, apple watch — need i say more? for the drawing, i’m not sure if ZZ made it but the wink did it for me cause he usually does that. i mean, even WYB’s black panther was winking. sooooo… The 10:05 is a given, but the 10:23 is a nice one cause we’ve been associating him to 23 ( Ai Zhan / Love Zhan ). I have also been thinking about this number because for XZS lantern festival game, they are giving away 23 desk calendars. so specific.

this imagery from the vlog compared to WYB’s single video is just so similar. the sunshine allowing plants to grown. whether that me be literal or metaphorical. how they view the world is so hopeful 🤍🤍🤍 and this is why they get along so well. there is really no way they wouldn’t be close, even if they didn’t end up playing WWX / LWJ. I believe that somehow, they would find their way to each other and still have the relationship we think they have. 🌱

and yes, we know that this was part of the filming process. at the start, XZ planted it and during the course of the shoot cared for it and watched it grow. but the similarity in their message to people and to the world. I can’t. this is some next level coincidence and connection.

The use of words that are same/similar to the captions of Hidden Blade’s weibo account is next. It’s one of those things that I think XZ is purposely fucking with us. It’s not like you can claim that he copies HB, because they do not own those captions on their posts. it’s just words. However clowns will know — what are the chances that he is using the same/similar? Mister eloquent himself who also has a team that does his videos. It all seems intentional.

• “plant your own sun” / and then HB is always putting suns on every 100 million they get in the box office. the intention in XZ’s words is like, do it yourself. like a person works hard to get their success. similar to what happened to HB, they have very little backing and it’s because the movie is actually good that it’s getting the recognition.

• 春回大地 the return of spring. It’s from a chinese idiom which means that spring returns to the earth. It is described that the severe cold has passed, and warmth and vitality have come to the world again.

there is also a cpn going around about the sound you can hear from the radio. I am the last person to verify things like this but can you hear wuming? 💀💀💀

but I think the correct explanation is, what it’s actually saying is “how do you rate it?” ( or something like that ) and because of the sound manipulation, you can sort of hear wuming. this is not the first time XZ puts things that he purposely wants us to mishear. lol.

Hey, I’d love to ask for your headcanons about something! How do you think Izuku and Tsukauchi get along? All Might is close with both of them, so I’d imagine they got introduced at some point! We don’t see them interact much in canon, but I can imagine they would get along great because of their problem-solving abilities. I imagine Tsukauchi would be more of the “fun uncle” and be like “hey kid, lemme tell you about this stupid thing Toshi did once.” And Izuku’s like “ALL MIGHT LORE. YES PLEASE.” And Toshi is in the background going “NaOMASAA PLS DO NOT IT WAS STUPID AND ONLY THE ONE TIME. LETS NOT GIVE THE KID ANY IDEAS!!!”

Oooh, what a good ask, Anon! This is giving me all kinds of thoughts (The Stars Shine Brighter Part 2 perhaps?) but I'll stick to my most immediate ones for now.

(Disclaimer: I only read Vigilantes in pieces and therefore my understanding of Tsukauchi as a character may be limited or incorrect.)

I love the idea that Tsukauchi snitches on All Might's past, and I agree that it would go down exactly the way you describe. In my head, though, that would be a bit of a "later" thing. I've always headcanoned that Izuku is actually relatively shy around Tsukauchi, and so I think it would take Izuku some time to warm up to him. I had to take some time to think about why I headcanon that, and I think it's two things.

Tsukauchi has a very unique relationship to All Might, which is one of the things that draws me to his character. There's no requirements or power dynamics between them to speak of, which is practically unheard of for All Might. Tsukauchi is not like Gran Torino who has an obvious kind of power over All Might from their past, and he's not like Nighteye where Nighteye was too caught up in his image of All Might to see him as he truly is. In fact, Tsukauchi actively refuses to benefit from his connection to All Might as we see in Vigilantes below.

(con't) I think one reason All Might likes and respects Tsukauchi so much is because he is generally unfazed by All Might as a figure. Respectful, yes, but not awe-struck. As a result, I think Izuku is intrigued by Tsukauchi but uncertain of how to interact with him himself. He'd understand to be respectful because he's an adult and respected in his field, sure, but it wouldn't be like Gran Torino or Nighteye who clearly have and assert a higher status than Izuku. Because All Might is much more casual with him, I think Izuku would be unsure about how to form his own dynamics with Tsukauchi and would need his and All Might's guidance on how casual he's allowed to be. I could see this being prompted by both situations you describe, either analytical talk or through secret yet fun All Might lore.

I also headcanon that, at some point, Izuku realizes that when All Might told Izuku on the rooftop to maybe be a police officer instead of a hero because it's a way to help people and "a fine profession," he was probably talking about Tsukauchi. I think Izuku might have felt like the police officer thing was a second tier option at the time, but once he sees how much All Might respects Tsukauchi, Izuku might realize he was being genuine, which would give him a new kind of fascination with Tsukauchi, especially since I don't think Izuku even knows Tsukauchi's quirk (or if he even has one). So I think his shyness would partially be curiosity paired with not wanting to be rude.

Overall, I think Tsukauchi, whether or not he turns out to canonically have a quirk, is what Izuku could have been had Izuku not been so enthralled with heroes and the quirks required for them. As I said earlier, Tsukauchi canonically seems to be a character who largely does not feel affected or fazed by society's power dynamics. He doesn't seem easily impressed with other's quirks or status, nor is he disrespectful of anyone for their status, even villains. He's always portrayed as being out to do a job by any means moral and sensical (meaning he's not above working with villains if they have the right quirks/tools but he also won't do it if it outweighs the benefits, such as we're seeing in this final arc). And I think Izuku has never seen someone like that before. Izuku's world is dominated by status and power as seen in the beginning of the whole series, "Not all men are created equal." Even All Might himself, while never looking down on anyone, is part of the power structure of society, whereas Tsukauchi isn't really.

I think Tsukauchi, meanwhile, would take interest in Izuku as All Might's successor and as someone All Might cares about deeply, but I also think that he wouldn't think to develop an independent relationship with Izuku unless either he or All Might invited him to. He wouldn't want to intrude, I think, but would welcome it if offered.

So now that I'm writing this out, I'm seeing great potential in their relationship! I really appreciate the ask, and I'm definitely going to be thinking about this for a while.

Had this card finished for a while before posting, but I was kinda insecure about it lol. I talk a little more in depth on this card's Patreon post (you can view and download it for free btw), but long story short, I got stuck in my head about whether I was embodying the symbolism of The Star and then I realized I didn't have to have a one-to-one counterpart to every Rider-Waite-Smith card lol.

Once I wasn't so stuck in my head, I realized I really like the way this card came out! I usually struggle to draw fire, but I found this quick tutorial and it actually gave me a process to try! Would recommend!

But let's go ahead and talk interpretations. They'll be below the cut as always:

After The Tower's destruction, The Star rises from the wreckage-- a shining beacon of hope.

While you likely experienced a period of pain and upheaval in the past, the presence of The Star suggests that good things are coming your way.

The Star is a card of hope and renewal. It reminds us that even though we went through trauma or generally crappy situations, we can emerge from them confident that things will get better. There are good things coming and we're urged to focus on those.

A lot of the symbolism within this card is somewhat religious in nature. The original woman is kneeling down with one of her feet seemingly walking on water, an homage to the Christian understanding of Jesus. The Star appears to be very in touch with the higher power within her whether her understanding of it stems from religion or her own spiritual beliefs.

In this way, we're urged to have faith in the forces we might not be able to comprehend. Sometimes singular or series of events can happen without us putting much effort into their creation. Sometimes, something we wanted or needed comes to us even when it didn't seem at all possible. The Star urges us to have faith in ourselves and trust that what we want will come to us.

Be confident in yourself, have hope that things will change, and begin to free yourself from the fear that keeps you from living authentically.

Reversed, the once hopeful figure of The Star has lost their glow. They've become lost in their pain and struggle to find any reason to stay positive. There's only so much a person can take before they feel beaten down and hopeless.

An important distinction, however, if that a reversed Star does not mean you have no hope. There are still plenty of chances for our situations to improve and for us to heal, this reversed card simply indicates our own feelings and thoughts.

While it can be frustrating to hear that something's 'all in our head', a reversed Star can be looked at as a sign that we have the power to make things better. Whatever higher power put us on Earth also gave us the ability to alter our reality and create a better life for ourselves.

Of course we may need help along the way whether that be a therapist, doctor, support group, or our loved ones, but that help is out there.

Even a reversed Star is a message that the worst of our pain and suffering is over. The pain we suffered is real and valid, it always will be. But The Star reminds us that we have the power to heal from it and come back stronger than when we started.

When designing this card, I wanted Haruka to represent the Star in question.

After Kiryu's entire family died, he felt like he had no reason to stay alive. The whole reason he went on his journey in the first game was to be reunited with the people he loved. He was willing to forgive those that had hurt him and move on, but in a very short period of time, everything was taken from him.

Everything except Haruka.

Haruka isn't free from suffering, either; her mother was taken from her and her father tried to kill her, but she serves as an anchor for Kiryu to hold onto his desire to live (even if he continues to struggle in the future).

She's an opportunity for Kiryu to get away from the Tojo Clan-- the organization that gave him everything he loved, but also took it away so many times. A beacon of hope leading Kiryu towards the life he actually wants.

Things aren't easy. Healing from such intense trauma rarely is, but there's hope for this little girl who never had a proper family and this man who just lost his.

Fate seemingly destroyed both their lives, but it seems like it also gave them everything they needed to find new meaning in the mess left over.

“Come on buddy, don’t ya wanna make a lil deal with lil ol’ me?”

I’ve been on a bit of an equivalence high recently as anyone following me may have guessed haha ^-^

For anyone who’s interested I’ve written some of my thoughts on demon!Mabel below the cut :3

First things first let's talk about her style and general appearance, cause I feel like I’ve deviated a fair bit from the previously established fancy suit she’d been portrayed as having like Dipper.

My logic for the change (outside of wanting to try drawing something that isn’t a suit haha) is that I feel she would have more varietyin the outfits she wears compared to Dipper. Looking at the show Dipper was out there wearing the exact same outfit for an entire summer while Mabel (admittedly wearing the same type of clothes) had significantly more variety, wearing a different sweater every episode, some episodes even having more than one, and I feel this would continue to reflect here.

Dipper has his suit and doesn't venture much further then that if he can help it (obviously not to say he doesn't but you know what I mean). Mabel mean while would have a new outfit every day, multiple per day sometimes!

Most of the time I think she would default to a more punk, diy aesthetic because of the inherent creativity of it (which for a typically detail averse artist such as myself was certainly a decision haha), not to mention I can imagine Mabel being like “I’m a literal demon Dipper I gotta go for the outfits with the spikes and chains!”

At the same time she would definitely enjoy trying out a whole host of different styles (to a point though. Some just aren't comfortable, not any more at least, a part of her stolen away with the Transcendence).

I'd need to do some research into clothing styles to say specifically what else she would enjoy, but I can say it's a lot of black with small splashes and highlights of colour. She's also, regardless of style wear lots and lots of jewellery and piercings cause I think she’d like them :3

Switching things up a bit I wanna quickly go over her pins (ie, her queer identities). My hc for demon!Mabel is the same for normal Mabel, being bisexual with a masc preference, and a demigirl (she/her/they/them exploring and trying out various neo pronouns as she encounters them, rotating through them depending on her mood).

Slightly serious tangent, but I know the previously established lore for EAU was that she would be aroace, but in all honesty that never quite sat right with me. Like the only reason she, or subsequently Dipper in the main TAU canon, are aspec is because of the demon-ness, and while I love demons and the demonic as much as the next aroace person, and I adore representation of my identity, the implications aren’t my favourite in the world. Obviously no disrespect to the people behind that decision, (in fact I applaud them on exploring how a character like Mabel might react to people assuming she wants that in this lil fic here :3). Only the maddest of respect to the people who make characters the identities they want them to be :) I just wanted to address it for anyone who like me has read every bit of eau content they can get their grubby lil hands on and noticed that particular difference :p

Besides, this way we get to explore the logistical and moral implications of a character being allosexual while also being an incredibly powerful and immortal being, especially when you get into questions of how she ages herself compared regular humans :3c (I think I'll leave that for another post though haha)

On a different note, another design idea I had was that it'd be really cool if she had a dynamic and moving tattoo that would constantly change and show new (typically pig and star related) designs :) this definitely wasn't inspired by my own inability to come up with and stick to a particular singer design, definitely not.

I also thought it would be neat to differentiate the demonic aspects of her and Alcor's design by giving her feathered wings, rather than the typical bat wings. I mostly just thought it could be nice to try drawing something different, and while Dipper and Mabel are very close and have a fair amount in common they are still very different characters, so it would make sense for their demonic features to differ, even is only slightly. On that note I also gave her a pink outline to her pupils as inspired by this art cause I thought it was neat :3

Anyway I accidentally posted this before I was finished so Imma just take that as a sign to stop and put my other thoughts in a different post haha 😅

Hello there! Please, call me Nimue. I’m 22 years old and German (English is my second anguage). I am on the aromantic spectrum. I am genderfluid and thus what I identify as will shift on a whim. Selfship Stuff

Overhaul? Yes. But I try to be a bit more careful with f/os nowadays so a lot are pending. I mainly focus on Ensemble Stars and Hypnosis Mic tho, so expect me to gush about them the most. I mostly post about Fling Posse at the moment. I love all of my f/os though!

"Shipped with s/i" means that I ship them with my s/i but I do not consider them f/os! I just enjoy the ship dynamics. Thus these ships are not personal to me by any means and I would not rank them as my partners due to a lack of feelings for them.

There are also a few f/os who are a bit complicated due to past circumstances (I rather not talk about it). Once I recovered and sorted my feelings I add them to the other rows especially Romani Archaman, I love him so much and want to decleare him my boyfriend again you have no idea... However long that will be. I love them though and plan to add and gush about them eventually once I moved on from the situation! I just don't know when that will be...

Iffy sharing Fling Posse (Ramuda, Gentaro, Dice), Henry (FE) and Blaze romantically (except with my friends). This fic was written in honor of Mel winning the F/O tournament I ran a couple of weeks ago! It was a close match, but congrats to her on winning, she really does deserve nothing but the best

Corinna has never liked parties. Or socializing in general, if she’s being honest. People are hard to understand when you’re actually talking to them. She can analyze a person all day as long as she’s not actually interacting with them. But the second she’s in a social situation, she’s too busy scripting every response like she’s a character in one of her plays, trying to make herself more palatable for people who she knows probably think they’re better than her. 

At least being with Mel makes being at this party better. Having her girlfriend by her side is always something that makes the time pass faster. 

And, of course, it’s always nice to see how Mel dresses up for Piltovan parties like this. She’s the prettiest person that Corinna’s seen no matter what, but she always outdoes herself for big events. 

Gold glitter is dusted along her cheeks and shoulders, like stars plucked from the sky sparkling against her dark skin. She’s draped in white silks that highlight her figure, a gold sash tied around her waist. 

Corinna’s pretty sure that Mel’s the most gorgeous woman in all of Piltover. And no matter what anyone else says, she knows she can’t be worthless if Mel loves her. 

Mel places a hand on Corinna’s back about halfway through the night, drawing her attention over to her. 

“Are you doing alright, darling?” she asks. She holds a flute of champagne in her other hand, delicate fingers wrapped around its stem. 

“Mhm, I’m good,” Corinna says. 

It helps that people here would always rather talk to Mel than her. Every now and then people will try to draw her into conversation, but it’s clear who the main event is. 

Not that Corinna can blame them. Mel is captivating. She’s charming and always manages to make the people around her feel like the most important person in the world. That's part of what drew Corinna to her in the first place. It was hard to keep her eyes off of the prettiest woman she's seen in her life.

And Corinna will always admire how good with people Mel is. She might be a good writer, but something always gets lost in translation between her brain and her mouth. Mel’s always been a skilled speaker, naturally knowing the right words to say. It's a skill Corinna can appreciate.

“If you want to leave early, we can,” Mel says. 

“I’m fine,” Corinna assures. “You don’t need to worry about me, we can stay as long as you like.”

“I enjoy time alone with my girlfriend too,” she replies, taking a sip of champagne. She looks over Corinna, eyes trailing down to look at her outfit. “Especially with how stunning you look tonight.”

“Oh. Thank you.”

Corinna’s never been good at taking compliments either. But Mel saying she looks pretty sends a warm feeling through her, even if she’s not quite flustered. And Corinna does like her outfit for tonight. It’s dark blue, but she accented it with a couple of gold accessories to match Mel. Her outfit is by no means the most complex or extravagant in the room, but Corinna’s never wanted to stand out. Still, it’s nice to know that Mel thinks she’s as pretty as Corinna thinks she is. 

“You’re as much of a masterpiece as your stories are,” Mel says, keeping her voice low enough for only Corinna to hear her. 

Corinna knows what she’s doing. She’s a hard person to fluster, but still Mel likes to try. 

Corinna can play that game too. 

“Thanks. I could say the same to you,” she says, brushing her hand against Mel’s hip. “You look like stardust.”

Mel laughs, a pleased smile on her face. “And you say you’re not good with your words.”

“I have my moments,” Corinna replies. 

She’s pretty sure that Mel just has a soft spot for her with this kind of thing. If she were writing instead, she’d be able to come up with something more poetic, something that perfectly captures just how amazing her girlfriend is. But if Mel likes what she is able to come up with, then that's more than enough for her.

“Well, if you ever need a moment to breathe, do let me know,” Mel says. 

Corinna nods. “Will do.”

Mel nudges Corinna with her shoulder. “I love you.”

“I love you too,” Corinna says, and that’s one thing she’ll never have trouble saying— certainly not to Mel. “And I’m pretty sure that Salo’s trying to catch your attention over there.”

“He can keep trying. You’re the only person I have eyes for, beloved,” Mel says. 

Corinna can’t help but smile at that. “You’re sweet.”

“I can’t have my girlfriend be treated like anything but the work of art she is, now can I?”

“But I don’t think I should keep you from playing the social game for too long.”

“Then I’ll have to bring you along with me,” Mel says. She offers her arm to Corinna. “Shall we see what Salo wants this time?”

Corinna links her arm with Mel’s. She’s never cared for being touched, but right now being this close to Mel is grounding. 

“Lead the way, Ms. Medarda,” Corinna says. Because as long as she’s with Mel, this night will go by without anything to worry about.

why do i feel like i wrote a lot less than i actually did. like i looked at my total and thought "now that can't be right... there's no way i wrote that much."

things are going better for some wips (AR) than they are for others (GH) so maybe my head is cancelling it out lol.

reading comments: Architects of Memory was basically "a corporate war over alien weapons featuring messy sapphics in space" and i liked it but it wasn't quite a coup de coeur, 4/5 stars. All Systems Red was an absolute delight, 5/5 stars, will be reading the rest of the series once my holds on Libby come through.

(also i started reading Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo this past weekend, and i blame it + it's precursor Ninth House for putting me in the mood to work on Third Secret WIP lately, as Ninth House is partially responsible for the genre shift in Third Secret WIP.)

☆ COMMENTS: ANDROMEDA ROGUE (draft 2)

i'm about halfway through this draft! i've passed 40k this month!

things are going super well. when i have the magical combo of time and energy and motivation to write i can get through scenes pretty easily, now that i don't have to worry about overall plot as much. plus i get to add little things here and there to beef it up.

i've mostly worked on the second act this month, which is where the team really starts going through things together.

there's one particular Azami chapter right before the midpoint that's a monster of lore-dropping. i had to rework it several times as i had an entire page of editing notes to make sure everything is coherent... and i'm still not entirely sure i've gotten it right 😭

not much to say about this one. didn't work on it as much. the plot for this wip continues to frustrate me. i'll find myself coming up with little ideas for the characters and the world... but when i try to sit down and come up with actual scenes and plot, my brain turns to soup.

this wip is consuming me. devouring me with its teeth. i'm surprised to find i may actually have a plot. turns out letting it hibernate for 3 years and tweaking with the genre has done some good.

☆ FEATURED EXCERPT.

this is from the like, one scene i wrote for gemini heist this month. i just think it's funny. for context, Leo and Gabi are trying to get access to some archives in a university library, and are posing as students.

As [Leo and the archivist] talked, Gabi slipped her hand into the pocket of her ridiculous jacket. Her fingers closed around a small round device. She glanced around. While Leo was doing a great job at keeping the archivist distracted, the commotion had caught the attention of nearly everyone in the room.

Just be normal, she told herself. She inched her hand out of her pocket.

“Which archives exactly do you need access to?” [the archivist] asked.

“Art of the early Viheldan Empiric era,” Leo said. “My paper is on the Gemini statuettes.”

“Ah, that might be why. You need a special authorization form from a professor or another faculty member to access those.”

Leo pouted. “But my professor said he got access for me!”

“Perhaps you can message him—”

“Ugh— can’t you just call him right now and ask? I don’t have time for this.”

“Alright. I’ll give him a call.”

Shit. Gabi wasn’t ready. She fumbled to take out the device, concealing it as best as she could in the palm of her hand. All she needed was to place it on the archivist’s computer terminal without him seeing a thing before he made that call.

The archivist’s fingers hovered over the screen for a second before pressing an icon at the bottom. With a starburst motion of his hand, he expanded a search window and began typing in the name of the professor. Panicking, Gabi slammed the device in her hand onto the side of the terminal.

The already quiet room went completely silent. All eyes turned towards her. The archivist’s were wide and stunned. Leo’s were sharp and furious.

“I, uh,” Gabi sputtered, awkwardly keeping her hand glued to the terminal. The device whirred to life, vibrating softly under her palm. “I-I thought I saw a bug.”

Something About Stars

Clarent: A gift giving event? That seems... Odd, but nice! We don't tend to give much around here, other than the occasional shared hunt. We're not really ones for material items, nowhere to put anything, after all! Though, I suppose if anyone hears this, I can think of a few things that could work?

A bitter tasting treat?

One of those odd discs humans use on their partner Pokemon. Preferably one of the Fighting type.

Something interesting from another part of Paldea, or even overseas.

Wishful thinking, but maybe just... Someone around my age to talk to.

Or maybe something for my son, Gladius? I think he deserves a kindness.

Gladius: Huh, gift giving? Have I ever really wanted anything? Like a thing thing? I don't think I have? I'm pretty happy with what I have now, y'know? Though uh, I guess I can think of something?

Some training lessons would be nice, if that's manageable?

Something sweet! Berries are nice, but I've heard there's something sweeter out there!

Maybe a nice sharpening stone?

A way to see the ocean. I've heard of it, but never seen it.

Something nice for my mom? There's only so much I can offer her, and I think if anyone's deserving of a gift, it's her.

Sabre: You really expect me to believe Pokemon will just give things without payment? Well, I'm not buying it! This is some sort of tactic to get me to trust someone so it's easier to get me while my back is turned, isn't it? If you're oh so generous, than let's make it more difficult to get me, I want battle items!

(So most of these are pretty self explanatory, I think! Since most of the characters are feral/wild Pokemon, physical trinkets and such are pretty useless to them. It was actually pretty hard to think of options! So be as creative as you like with gifts! Also, elaborations just in case:

Clarent's list is pretty straight forward, I think. A bitter treat can be something akin to say, dark chocolate, since it's something she's never had. 'Someone around her age to talk to' can apply to pretty much any character who's been a parent, as she doesn't talk with many others except her Pawniards, Gladius, & Sabre!

Gladius' list is also pretty straight forward, he likes sweets and he wants to be stronger. Fulfilling a piece of Gladius' wishlist fulfills the final piece of Clarent's wishlist, and vice versa.

Sabre just wants to be stronger. Candies must be limited to a small handful and no, you can't actually take the Eviolite from Vel, though your character is free to try, they must fail to do so.

Capricorn... Is actually here on the chance my Star Sender is an artist who would rather not draw a Bisharp! His primary concern would be the first 3 listed items, but also lists a couple of story-relevant bonuses! Please note that since Capricorn hasn't been properly introduced, I unfortunately do not currently have a ref of his daughter done!

Morris serves the same purpose as Capricorn, being an extra on the chance you're an artist who would rather draw someone else. His legendary list is absurd at best and unfeasible at worst. But that's okay, because if you choose him, your character is allowed to fail miserably!
