LIKE IIRC ARLONG SAID SO HIMSELF (edit: like yeah in that moment he was referring to her mapmaking i think, but considering how the rest of the arlong crew expected her to kill off zoro with ease and how she can talk back to arlong without getting hurt she probably had a bigger role in the crew beyond that, where she had those expectations and relations with the crew)

i feel like cat burglar nami should’ve been at least a little bit more well known, idk if more or less than demon of the east blue zoro. but idk it would’ve been cool. especially since she betrayed arlong and left his crew alive (and helped demolish them in the process).

ig that’d be a part of her reputation gained after the arlong park arc. but it would’ve been cool to see like yknow rumors or have people recognize her at logue town or something (much to her dismay obv). maybe her own wanted poster, but i doubt that since it’s pretty rare for members of crews other than the captain and maybe the first mate (the strawhat’s future reputation obv being an exception).

it’d only make sense that nami already had a little bit of a mark in the world pre-strawhats (unlike usopp being just a kid in a small town (obv now he’s super cool tho)), tho that part of her life was super duper sad. maybe it would’ve offered more parallels between her and hachi, both who’s former association with arlongs crew caused real damage (tho hachi was an active participant in the violence nami’s mapmaking enabled their crusade) and how they’ll learn to forgive themselves, each other, and learn and grow from that experience.

but yeah. nami’s super cool and amazing and if you think about it super nuanced (obv) and i love her and i love thinking about her too much.

-he has a horse (Ranger), 5 dogs (Rosco, Daisy, Cassy, Billie, and Maria. Rosco and Cassy are German Shepherds, Daisy and Billie are heelers, and Maria is a demonic chihuahua), 3 cats (Mittens, Sassy, and Milo), and 2 snakes (Spot and Harvey).

-^thats just at the statehouse. Back home, he has an animal sanctuary where he takes care of animals, takes them in, nurses them back to health, ect... It's very adorable and I love it.

-speaking of animals, he cannot, I repeat, CANNOT keep it together if an animal dies or gets hurt in a movie. Homeward Bound? Mans was not okay. Hachi? He wasn't ballin', he was bawling 😔.

-I BELIEVE IN TRANSMASC TEXAS SUPREMACY 🛐

-he still wears a binder cuz he doesn't trust the doctors to perform top surgery on him.

-Texas CANNOT handle someone raising their hand or voice at him. He can't. He will flinch and/or cry. Which he hates. Cuz he's supposed to have this reputation as the big strong Lone Star State.

-he has SH scars on his wrists, sides, and thighs. They vary from blade marks, to cigarette burns, to even scratches.

-he hates all of his scars so, so much and sees them as nothing but a sign of his weakness and inability to defend himself.

-Texas is also kinda insecure about the little bit of pudge on his lower belly, hips, and thighs. What makes it worse is that he can't really help it. Especially the stomach pudge cuz that's just where his uterus is. Does he know this? Yes. Is he still insecure? Yes.

-he often binds too long or forgets that he has his binder on until it's too late and there is severe bruising and even minor bleeding underneath the band. Along with breathing difficulties.

-^to make the breathing difficulties thing worse, he has asthma :)

Hey, saw your Prsk Unit Shuffle AU and am very interested in seeing more.

In particular, I'm interested in hearing more about how the groups formed. It's always neat to see how these characters first meet and interact under different circumstances. And, as a little bonus, maybe what their "Untitled"/theme song is, because I feel like that's a very key part of a unit's identity that tends to be overlooked.

GASP HELLO I LOVE TALKING ABOUT MY UNIT SHUFFLE AU im so sorry this too forever to get u back on!! schoolwork is a pain and then i went SHOPPING (which takes forever :sob:)

okok so i haven't really thought about all the details of how they get together? so bear with me this is a rough draft lol

SSS: the idea at the core of this group is that its a family with different strengths coming together to make music. so tsukasa is the scriptwriter, saki is the lyricist, toya is the choreographer, and kanade is the composer! the group is headed by tsukasa, who's actually been putting on these shows for all of them since he was a kid. as he got older, he started taking stardom more seriously (leading into canon), but an incident in middle school ended up with the tenmas legally adopting toya, so that definitely shook things up for tsukasa (in a good way!). so i think that (+ l/n not reforming, which does happen in the SSS main story) allowed tsukasa and saki to consider banding their strengths together, since tsukasa loved putting on shows and saki loved seeing them, but she would also help put them on for toya (and later kanade, when she joins them not long after toya does). the two of them very quickly realize that they need more hands, and although recruiting kanade as composer is easy (bc 25ji never forms- dont ask why im still figuring that out lol) toya is a lot harder bc he's still active under BAD DOGS with akito. however, with akito picking up AWR around the same time (+ hatsune freaking miku appearing to toya), toya does join under their choreographer as for their untitled, their song is Wonderland and the Sheep's Song by Hachi, but I worked out their line distributions to this lovely KYO cover! you can see my color-coded lyrics for them here if you're interested :)

R/l: im gonna be 100% honest with you SSS and AWR are the only ones with any semblance of a plot rn LOL but here's the base idea around R/l: mizuki and rui both congregate on the kami school rooftop bc, yknow, loners (mizuki is never reached out to by kanamafu, so not 25ji on their part. tsukasa doesnt end up applying for phoenix so wxs doesn't have a chance of forming). at some point, i imagine they got talking about music, but never did anything concrete. but not long into the main story (probably the very start) an also joins them, her dream of surpassing rad weekend getting weaker as she struggles to find a partner (koha will be explained later) so she goes to hang with her friend on the rooftop. at some point, mizu and an both accidentally enter sekai, where they meet miku and len. those two tell them that there's still two others they need to find because they also made the sekai. mizu and an get.... maybe a little too excited over this. an takes this chance to invite her friend haruka over to kami (so she transfers) and join the group, but in their search for their fourth member they end up accidentally alienating rui (ironic). they fix that tho-- although HOW i dont know lol their untitled was one i went back and forth on (tbh only SSS and AWR i didnt lol), but i eventually decided on Untitled Hymn by shaito! their color-coded lyrics are here (i just realized you can barely tell where an is in lines but ehhh)

ATD: okay so. ATD is the group thats given the most gosh-darn trouble. ive revised their cast motivations like, TWICE now. but basically it goes like this: shizuku and mafuyu are both members of the archery club, with mafuyu trusting shizuku so much that her public mask slips a couple of times (against her will). shizuku's not dumb, but she doesn't say anything bc i think she understands that mafu has her secrets. after shizuku quits being an idol (on more of her own terms), she still wants to find a way to share the light she had before that seemed to reach mafu a few times. enter: accidental sekai trip! this trip both gives shizu the idea for an online group (which could sorta count as MMJ but i think the big distinction is they do more streamer/vtuber stuff and less purely idol stuff?? im still working on that) and lets her see mafu with her mask fully off. eventually, shizu drags nene into the business (nene never attends kami here, workin on that) bc shizu and mafu have no idea how streaming works and nene does, but nene likes hiding behind the camera but is still a part of the group bc who can say no to shizu? and hona joins at shizu's request bc they're both beautification members (and apparently hona+mafu are both honors students so i wonder if they have some overlap?? can you tell ive never attended public school lol) their untitled gave me SO MUCH TROUBLE. because ATD is supposed to be a weird mix of 25ji and mmj? but all of their songs get swiped by either R/l, AWR, or even SSS, so it was hard to find something that i thought could be specifically them. eventually, i finally decided on Common World Domination by PinocchioP! Their color-coded lyrics can be found here :)

MxC: oh boy this one's a doozy. so the idea here is like... there are underground music rings? which sounds wild but like if music is vaguely the lifeblood of this world i DONT CARE it can happen! i don't wanna make it life-threatening tho so its more like... you get blacklisted from everything. which for shiho--who got sucked into this world in an attempt to find bandmates--is VERY BAD. but shiho's given a little bit to find a band before their first performance, but with l/n definitely gone their separate ways (and she never wanted to involve them in the first place) she's kinda stuck. enter: airi and ena! both of them had been watching the music battles, unsatisfied with their current lives (airi having just quit idol/tv work, ena just frustrated over her art), but airi knows shiho thru miya, and when she heard about shiho's impending doom, she resolved herself to very quickly learn guitar and join her group, roping ena (who has a little bit of drum experience from akito and mom) into it as well. meanwhile, while all of this is going on, kohane (being the sweet soul she is) has been trailing shiho out of concern, but then is entirely horrified at the underground battles bc shes still pre-canon meek. but she really wants to help shiho, so she agrees to try and learn keyboard. after clearing the first battle, shiho and her group are safe--for now. they'll have to clear a lot more battles if they want to escape the underground their untitled is Hello Builder by UtsuP since i wanted them to have harsher rock songs than l/n (bordering on metal-ish)! color-coded lyrics here :)

AWR: funny story--all of the above units were made in the order listed! so i got to AWR and... i have ichika, minori, emu, and akito. and im like "NONE OF THESE PEOPLE HAVE ANYTHING IN COMMON". and then i went. "WAIT. THATS IT!" so here's how AWR goes: ichika still tries to reform l/n, but fails; minori is still trying to become an idol; and emu is still trying to revive the wonder stage. all three of them, all attending miya ofc, end up bonding over this and they start thinking. is there a way to satisfy all three of their dreams (band, idol, and show) at once? and at FIRST the answer is "no lol" so they go exploring. and somehow someway (workin on that) word finds out about this and some guy on vivid street dares akito to try and fix em into shape in a week. akito--being akito--accepts quite hotheadedly, then quickly realizes that maybe this wasnt a good idea?? because EVERYONE has a different music taste and its almost impossible to keep up with them all!!! but eventually they do figure it all out, and by the end none of them wanted to split apart or anything. AWR is i think the group that has the least amount of direction which might be on purpose. i think (again im rambling rn so) part of their story is figuring out what their direction is going to be! their untitled is Lip Sync by DECO*27, written as a part of holo*27 (hi no im not rlly into vtubers i just like their music) but i count it bc its written by a voca producer and this would not be the first time a non-vocaloid sung a unit song (cough cough mafumafu and tuyu). you CAN find my color-coded lyrics here.... but i did the translations. which means they're pretty much 98% google translated then bonked around to make sense. i dont know japanese please dont sue me

I just want to say it's been delightful watching you get into One Piece. It's been one of my main fandoms for years, but most of the people I was following who posted about it moved on to other things and I didn't have the energy to try to find new ones, so my dash has been pretty empty of it and I mostly just kept up with the anime/manga and not much else. Your enthusiasm for it, and all the art you've been posting and reblogging, has been a highlight of my days. I have a One Piece fanfic I've been trying to finish for years, and I've felt more like writing it in the past week or so than I have in a very long time (haven't actually managed it yet, but maybe soon, I hope). I just hit the Sabody arc too and spotted Law for the first time! Kinda refreshing to see a female character getting to finally make the same (if not even MORE) whacky faces like the boys do hhdfhgjkdf you’re doing great sweetieeeee 😂 (also good to see Hachi again!!)

Also the intro to Celestial Dragons and slave trade is so. Man. This is VILE. The extent of horrors the Government will look away from because they’re Celestial Dragons doing the horrors. AUGH. Gross. The situation is revealed in a really neat way too, very engaging. Sooooo satisfying watching Luffy full on punch one CD in the face tho, BLESS. Love that funky lil dude. He really doesn’t care who you are, he can and WILL punch you if friends are threatened.

me talking about vocaloid for @milk-violet!

the FIRST vocaloid song in my liked is the chattering lack of common sense by ghost and pals. my brother found it and i liked it (july 19 2021)

then it was my first j-vocaloid, shikabane no odori/dance of the corpses by kikuo (january 7 2022)

I found kikuo because I kept on seeing videos with corpse dance playing, and finally one of them had the title. I didn't look at the rest of their songs until I was well into my circus p/jubyohonic phase

this was also my intro to jpop in general!

the next tray songs were aishite by kikuo and miku by anamanaguchi (both jan 13 2022, next songs are too)

then i found SUI by maretu, kimi wa dekinai ko (kikuo), some more jpop, and anaguragurashi/hole dwelling (one of my favorite kikuo songs!)

there was more ghost and pals, but this was when I started to REALLY like jpop. my favorites were tophamhat-kyo, kikuo, gumi, ado and kira!

I also got SUPER into kairikibear, hiiragikirai, and kankan in june 2022. I started to find people like giga, kanaria, neru, neyuri, and iyowa in july.

I started liking Azaria in august!! (I still love azari!!) in september i started really listening to ado. and my favorite cover artist, chogakusei! later on I found ¿?shimon (STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITES!!!), tuyu, inabakumori, and deco*27 (my favorite deco*27 song is salamander!)

in october i started liking yuu miyashita (because wozwald, a song i still love!) i listened to a bit of nyanyannya, but I liked cosmo@bousou‐p a lot more!!

fun fact! in November I did actually like two leo/need songs!! (sutera and needle) then in december I liked a wonderful☆opportunity song!

december was the reign of chogakusei, yuu miyashita, kikuo, and a few other jpop/vocaloid artists.

january - march 2023 consisted of almost exclusively jpop/vocaloid. then in march I started playing project diva. dear god i listened to so much vocaloid. it was also when kikuomiku 8 was released!!!!

march was also when I found takayan. my music taste. was only him. for months. finally I listened to other music but omg his music devoured me.

until may it's just a bunch of jpop and vocaloid with the occasional folk song or something. then I just. kinda stopped finding new jpop ig. there's like a dozen jpop/vocaloid songs until june.

then it was back to kankan, sekai no owari, deco*27 (fun fact! I can recite like 2/3 of vampire), takayan, and mitchie m.

HERE COMES THE CRANE WIVES IN EARLY JUNE! I adore them. (I'm going to a crane wives concert this month! <3)

a bunch of anime intros/outros, SO MUCH JPOP, sohta!!! imase, mafumafu, even more takayan omg, and jon-YAKITORY in June!

july was mostly jpop. lots of syudou and guchiri! and tuyu. but then mid-july hits. and allll the jpop disappears, and is replaced by I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME (I love idkhow <3).

august is mostly ado and the crane wives!! some jpop and romance songs, and also a bit of idkhow, but most of it is the first two.

august 31st has like 50 lofi covers of jpop songs tho. same with september 1st.

september and october were mixed bags, with some nasuo too!!! (I adore nasuo). I also listened to more gero! I FOUND ONE OF MY FAVORITE VOCALOID SONGS!!!! (dogdog by abuse <3) also in october, i was going through my first breakup and it was BAD (he cheated on me due the 3rd time the day after our 1 year anniversary and it took me 3 weeks to break up with him lmao (it's ok now tho i don't ever see him anymore and he never deserved me anyways!!! <3)) so there's a lot of angsty romance songs but also. milgram. and the song 二十五/nijuugo/25 by leaking crypt that i would play on repeat for hours when I was sad bro. I loved that song.

innovember i got a crush so there were a lot of romance songs then! AND THEN I FINALLY LISTENED TO ALL OF THE CRANE WIVES' SONGS. and the crush only lasted like a month and i think it was just me coping.

I found otoboke beaver in november by looking at concerts near me, and i saw them and was surprised that they were a jpop band! (I didn't get to go to the concert tho :(

december was filled with ado and meet me @ the altar. BUT THEN IN LATE DECEMBER I got a real crush!!! and listened to so many romance songs omg. I also started listening to one of my all time favorite bands, the scary jokes!

the amount of romance songs in january should be a crime. I was down bad for this person.

and then for a month straight I listened to nothing (and I mean NOTHING) but the april fools and burn pygmalion albums by the scary jokes.

march 2024, i found vaundy!! another all time favorite, I adore his music.

april had more crane wives, and a few jpop/vocaloid songs i love!!! (clover♤club, too late for chocolate ?, and doku). and more romance songs. then my friend tried to turn me into a swiftie (didn't work), and then I listened to even MORE of the crane wives. and also sobbed my eyes out rewatching the wind rises.

and that's it!!! besides for the various jpop, vocaloid, and all the other songs I liked but they're not really of note.

So I've finished the live action!!

Gonna start with what I didn't like personally I feel the Arlong arc was a bit weaker than in the manga/anime, it got a bit contrived in a way. The other arcs were fine even with the changes just this one didn't super convince me although it was still good. Nami's desperation did hit and that's what matters lmao

A pity we didn't see Hachi but maybe they just couldn't figure out how to make the octopus thing work which is understandable if a bit disappointing. Also a pity we didn't see Luffy bite the shark back they were cowards for that

Garp is... interesting. It's like I see why they went with this interpretation of him but it's not my favorite interpretation y'know? Also he's a bit too serious

That being said the other characters were great. Again Luffy is def not baseline Luffy but he's still amazing. Love the instant Sanji/Zoro hostility, also Sanji was just so cute???

Okay first, taste!!!!

And to be honest, I find Nana soooooooooo much better written than a lot of the popular animangas like naruto. I love how the female characters are fleshed out and have actual flaws, the relationship dynamics, the reality of how toxic some relationships can be, and the dialogue?? *chef’s kiss* Like seriously, the plot may not be adventurous or mysterious, but the characters are so interesting? And don’t get me started on the heartbreak!! Nana x Hachi is my overall favorite ship, but I do like Nana x Ren and I’m still not digesting that Nobu x Hachi breakup 😭😭😭😭

And again, I really love how flawed the female characters are! My problem with female characters in most animes, including the new anime out rn, is that a lot of female characters are very one dimensional. Like before it used to be the damsel in distress/love interest trope, and now its characters whose only trait is being a ‘badass’ yet they’re still getting their asses kicked in major fights and get saved by the male hero. So an anime like Nana, where the female characters are filled with depth AND are the main characters, is so refreshing, especially for someone who doesn’t really read shoujo that much either.

Like for example, a character like Nana is pretty popular in other medias cause theyre usually that tough, cold female character, with a secret heart of gold. The mysterious types who always have their guards up until the end and their character flaw tends to be “traumatized or grew up in a terrible environment so now she’s all introverted and snarky to most people” (like raven from teen titans and artemis from young justice. love them, but kinda tired of how most ppl think all well written female characters must be written like them). But what makes Nana unique for me is that she’s selfish, insecure, and controlling.

Same with hachi. Another character trope popular in manga. The sweet, naive girly girl who tends to be the one dimensional primary love interest/damsel in distress for the main hero (orihime from bleach and hinata from naruto). While Hachi is very naive and is prone to falling in love very quick (more like the idea of falling in love), I love how she isn’t written to be 100% all sweet and sugar and nice girl who’s saving herself for marriage with her one true love (that one guy she likes in high school). She’s shallow, self-centered, and emotionally dependent on her love interests, junko, and nana.

Bonus points to womanhood being a main theme here, especially with two female characters who are the opposites of each other in their personality, fashion, background, etc.

I love to think about one of the homra guys, maybe someone like chitose, gets everyone hooked on nana lol. Like he probably overheard a lot of his f*ck buddies and random girls on the streets keep talking about some nana show, so he looks it up and at first loses interest when he realizes its shoujo, but then gets a little curious and wants to know what the hype is (and he lowkey finds the girls hot). So he brings it up to the other guys when they’re all chilling in the bar one day and obviously a lot of them are like, “fuck no, we’re not watching that girly shit” but then totsuka gets interested and he manages to get everyone to sit around the tv and watch the show lol (except for anna since totsuka did some research and found out that there are implied sexual scenes and mature topics). At first, the guys are annoyed at being forced to watch the show (a good chunk of them glaring at Chitose for bringing the topic up), but then suddenly they’re all incredibly invested by like ep 3. A lot of the boys probably talk about which Nana is better or more of their type at first, but then they all probably start shipping the two Nanas and god damn just f*cking kiss her already!!! Not gonna lie tho, I do think some of them are gonna hate on Hachi for leaving Nobu :/ They’re definitely going to sympathize with Nobu, but I just know some of them (Chitose) are probably gonna be like ‘thats what happens when you’re a simp’ 🙄 Overall, I do think most of them will be extremely sad/depressed once they reach the end of the show, not realizing how much this show and its characters impacted them lol

I love how the characters of Nana are so complex. That being said, I have complex feelings about dark haired Nana. I adore her friendship with Hachi. I think they are happiest together and I think Hachi brought out the best in Nana.

However, Nana as a character isn’t in my top faves. Sure, when you meet her you are enamored with her just like how Hachi is. But when you get the full story, you can’t help but see her in a less romantic way (or at least for me) Besides being a cool tough girl I don’t think she has much depth especially considering she is supposed to be the other protagonist. She loves Hachi dearly but even then she wasn’t capable of supporting her in the way a good friend should when Hachi needed her the most. At least she’s aware of it tho. Yes, I get her trauma made her emotionally stunted but still, it made her unable to support Hachi in the way she needed and deserved from a friend.

She has shown to be egotistical and overly prideful and toxic shown in her most important relationships with: Hachi, Ren and even Yasu. With Hachi, she used Nobu so she could have her within reach and even told Nobu she was happy for them being a couple because now “Hachi is in her garden”. She uses Nobu to try to get responsibility of the baby doing the very same thing she accused Takumi of doing. Using that baby to keep Hachi by her side. She blew up on Nobu when he was incapable of taking action yet refused to do anything herself which he calls her out on “you wouldn’t want to be the father cuz you would never love that child knowing it was Takumi’s” Which I don’t blame her for but this showcases her manipulative and hypocritical nature.

Next, her relationship with Ren. What a hot mess. I am probably in the minority but I don’t really ship them. It’s not cuz I hate the ship, I just don’t see the hype. Despite the story claiming they have this great connection, I don’t see it. I think here lust is often confused with love. I’m sure they loved each other at one point and maybe they still do but it’s not in a way that really helped them develop as people or characters. She is way too prideful and selfish in her relationship with Ren and that never changed. He’s really almost a background character who I had no interest in until the end of the manga where it’s at right now. He used to be almost like this entity I saw as having no purpose than to make nana a heterosexual woman and I thought she deserved better. And maybe give her a reason to move to Tokyo. I only started warming up to him when it was near his death 😂He is never really emotionally or physically there for her when she needs it which is why I often doubted why she was still with him. Who is doing all the work and was capable of being there for her? Yasu. I am not saying she should be with Yasu cuz frankly I think he deserves better than her which is why I’m glad he finally “moved on” from her in the end. But anyway, she too was incapable of supporting and even loving Ren the way he needed. How could you never be aware your bf has a drug problem? How could you let pride get in the way of supporting him when he’s so depressed he turned to drug addiction to cope? She’s so self absorbed it’s crazy. How could she let one little argument where he blew her pride get in the way of contacting him. Many characters told her he needed her and she’d lose him but again, her being too prideful or egotistical to care just did not listen. And so look where all of that led to. I just don’t really think she has the capability to be a gf and that’s fine, but she really needs to do self reflection in her relationships in general before the same thing happens. Unless she finds someone okay with her style of loving

I made this post too long but obviously she always takes from Yasu and doesn’t really think about his feelings. I’m glad he cut off her dependency because she was just using him for the things her boyfriend was incapable of doing for her. She never considers if it’s hard on Yasu always being her emotional crutch, how draining it must be for the man. At least she tried to do a little something for him later which shows she’s somewhat aware of how she leeches off him. I don’t know how she’s coping now that Ren is dead and Yasu has a gf he loves. I hope she learned to be more emotionally independent and stable. I hope she learned to be less prideful and learned that a relationship is equal give and take. I don’t think she’s a bad person, she just needs some development and I hope she gets that if the author continues.

Yayahara[八々原] Yuyu[熊如]

Okay so I got totally lost on this one... for whatever reason the font for that last kanji just threw me for a loop. It's [如]???

If you're not familiar [々] is a kana used to indicate a repeated kanji, so technically her name is [八八原] written as "Eight + Eight + Field/Meadow," that is a meadow or a plains type of naturally flatlands "field" and not like a man-made agricultural field. It's not really how you'd write "88" but it could read that way if there was context to suggest it? Obviously it's partly a play on her being in the 8th division, but I assume Kubo made the creative choice based on more than just that...

I feel like it might be a reference to hachi-hachi-bana[八八花]: "88 flowers" that refers to the standard design on hanafuda cards? But to what ends that reference could be being made, I'm not sure...

The name [熊如] literally means "Bear-like" with Yu[熊] being "Bear" and yu[如] being "such as.../likeness." This is also why she has her big roaring("Gao gao!") bear claws/mouth technique? I don't even know if that's supposed to be kidou, or somehow related to her sword? We didn't see a sword, or hear a release, or a chant, or even a kidou name and number though... Is she tapping into something more akin to Ichibe's wild primoradial name magic?

But even that got a name... We've really never seen anything like this from a Shinigami, which is kinda weird. Although maybe Kubo's just kind of lost track of what does and doesn't fly in his own world after being away from it for a whike. (Love her little teeth pattern deco nails tho.)

Nothing in life more satisfying than dragging someone down into a rare pair. Ngl that series of one-shots in which I get to come up with a bunch of ridiculous ships has been really fun to write, but this one is chapter 6 for anyone wondering.

ANYWAY, headcanons. I can do headcanons. Especially since you returned the favor for the other great OT3 (Nana/Ren/Yasu) here... Cause ngl, our OT3 combined into the best OT4. (also rip sorry I am finally posting this like a month later flsjdfksdfjsldj)

- Hachi has the softest, smoothest skin ever and Ren and Nana both love touching it, always touching her cheeks, stomach, underarm, boobs, etc.  When Hachi overhears them talking about it she thinks they are calling her fat (idk, maybe true) but really it’s thanks to her skin care routine and all her nice lotions.

- Ren and Hachi both have their own shampoos and bodywash, but Nana never bothers getting her own and just grabs one of theirs at random.

- Hachi buys Ren’s clothes for him, because a closet of 10 identical leather jackets and pants just isn’t necessary.  It’s still his aesthetic, but he doesn’t look like a Sid Vicious cosplay everyday... but he’s still got to at least occasionally because that’s what Nana’s into him for.

- Both Ren and Nana are absolute hot for Hachi wearing either of their clothes.  She doesn’t do it often, cause Hachi’s got a bigger wardrobe than her rock star combined so why would she need to??? But sometimes... she does it anyway. Nana pretends to be mad.

- Ren and Nana get Hachi her dream house - with a garden, fencing, veranda, walk-in closet, and a kitchen fit for a professional cook.  They’d have been content living in a shitty apartment or any generic nice suite their agents set them up in and decorated for them but living in a cozy home is like... the stuff of their childhood dreams. At first Ren and Nana are content to let Hachi decorate it all to her heart’s desires but she keeps asking them their opinion and they all kinda get into it and Nana even builds some of their furniture at Hachi’s request.  They make it into a real home and Ren and Nana make sure to never smoke inside the house because they love it too much.

- After they get that house, they host so many parties with their friends. Hachi is a perfect hostess and Ren gets really into it too. Meanwhile Nana is making half the mess as she gets too drunk.

- Hachi and Ren make most of their meals, but Nana almost always makes their miso soup at Ren’s request and Hachi’s dismay. Nana’s taste remain very salty and Nana tends to add more salt to Hachi’s food to an insulting degree.

- At first they have Hachi sleep in the middle of the bed but she’s like this is too fucking hot here (and also she’s 100% the type to pee a couple times in the middle of the night) so Ren takes the middle and he loves it, especially when both Hachi and Nana cuddle him on either side.

- idk if we’re in my AU or just general canon, but either way when Ren retires he becomes a stay-at-home dad to all 3 of their kids and he loves it.  He teaches them all instruments and everything and they can make their own little band.

- Biologically the children are Hachi & Ren’s, and for Nana’s comfort they call her the kid’s aunt (even if she is as equally their partner) and Nana’s a better guardian to the kids than if she’d call herself their mom.  She’s the best auntie, but she’s also the strictest. 

- Shin still plays house with Hachi as his mommy and Ren as dad but Nana will end his life if he includes her in any of these games but that doesn’t stop Hachi and Ren from doing so anyway but only Hachi gets away with it.

- Ren and Nana alone aren’t very publicly affectionate with each other unless the situation demands it, but the moment it’s either of them with Hachi (or all 3 of them together) it’s PDA time. Nobu claims he’s in hell watching them all flirt constantly and be lovey dovey but he’s honestly just happy to see Ren and Nana so happy.  Yasu’s kinda into watching the 3 of them... ot4 for the win

- Ren and Nana love being part of the Komatsu family. Sometimes the Komatsu’s threaten to disown Hachi and Nami and replace them for Ren and Nana cause they love them back it’s what Ren and Nana always dreamed of their like, dream family dynamic. It’s so wholesome.

- Even tho Hachi makes her own money and has a successful career doing whatever she wants to be doing, Ren and Nana both give her credit cards in each of their names and she they give her no limits which might be a bad idea but Hachi is a spoiled little princess.  Ren and Nana also compete to see who’s credit card Hachi uses more, sugar daddy kinks awoken.

- Hachi tapes dramas for Ren and Nana to watch. Nana mostly watches them casually and nap to but Ren’s like INTO them and makes references to them constantly and remembers all the character’s names and all the juicy drama. Sometimes Ren will remember a drama is on and stop in the middle of even sex to go watch. Hachi will go join him while Nana will be like wtf and finish herself off before also joining him to watch.

- We all know Ren and Nana's favorite way of spending time together is sex, and you'd think Hachi would dial that back a little cause she likes romance but of course she's also a sex kitten. Also she's hot in the sack, as established, and she's generally the one who’s like “3rd round?” and Nana and Ren are like passed out.

- Sometimes Nana and Ren call Hachi mommy in bed and that’s all that needs to be said.
