Zoro openly expresses his attraction to Sanji after they become kind of-but-not-actually official and Nami and Usopp are surprised that the things that make Zoro go all heart eye is shit no one else thinks is attractive.

Obviously, he loves the cigarette smell. The scent so dense on Sanji's skin and in his clothes that you can smell him coming before he enters a room. To anyone else it's too strong, but Zoro finds that smell so alluring sometimes he lights them before Sanji even thinks to want one, just so he can smell it.

Or like when Sanji butchers sea kings. Luffy is the only person that has ever said that he gets why it's so attractive to Zoro and everyone else was like ?? The dude is covered and fish guts and stinks why is that hot to you.

Then there's the french. It wouldn't really be weird if Zoro liked the pet names he said or the way he speaks about french cooking methods. But no, that's not the part he likes. He likes when Sanji snarls insults, the loud, angry cussing that almost make it sound he's literally about to spit in your face.

Also when Sanji cleans his hands after he's done cooking for the day. He sits wherever it is the crew has congregated for the night and uses all these little tools to pick grime that's gotten under his nails and file any chips made in them throughout the day. To everyone else, it just looks like regular hygiene but it might as well be a burlesque show for Zoro.

The crew kind of just watches in awe at how many things Sanji does that Zoro finds so mesmerizing. Some of it is so mundane too. Like this man will just be existing on the deck and Zoro is like "That's my man. I need him."

“Hi.” Eddie breathes out, smiling so wide his cheeks start to hurt.

“Hey.” Buck responds, taking a step inside, and as Eddie closes the door behind him, Buck sniffs and frowns, an alarmed look on his face. “Something’s burning?”

“Uh, it was.” Eddie says with a small chuckle, waving off Buck’s concern. “Just food, no casualties or property damage. I tried to make breakfast.”

“Eddie.” Buck laughs, kicking off his shoes. “Why?”

“Because.” he shrugs, then feels his cheeks burn as he looks at the ground. He’s being so silly. “You said you’d come over, and I wanted- I just wanted to make breakfast.” he says lamely, not sure how to put into words how much he wants to do anything and everything to make Buck happy, and how giddy last night made him, how kissing Buck was the most amazing thing that he wants to do over and over and over again, and how he wants Buck at his side forever and ever and ever. And he wanted to start off by doing this one simple thing for him. Plus, he was too antsy to just sit and wait for him to come over, and trying to cook was a good distraction. Until it wasn't.

“Eddie.” Buck repeats, this time softer, taking one step towards him, and Eddie looks up at him. “That’s really nice. But just so you know, it’d be even nicer if you didn’t try to burn your house down for me.” he adds through laughter.

“Oh, shut up.” Eddie huffs, playfully punching Buck’s shoulder, and as he’s taking his hand away, Buck grabs it. It goes limp, letting Buck easily unfold his loose fist and intertwine their fingers. It feels right, holding his hand, they fit together so well, as if made for each other. Eddie watches Buck’s face as Buck’s eyes are on their hands, watching in awe and wonder. As if he couldn’t believe he can do that now. As if he still doubts he can.

An image has popped into my head of Gabriel holding V1 tightly so that it could examine a Virtue (and the Virtue could examine it) without any chance of the robot going into killkillmurder mode. Like introducing a grumpy old cat to a new family member.

If Gabe still has loyal Virtues then it would be important to get them acclimatised to each other so V1 doesn't mistake them for enemies later on. How would V1 tell the difference from the friendly ones and the ones that want them dead besides their actions, is there any visual tells or does V1 have to scrounge up stickers/labels or something?

LITERALLY gabriel acting as a safety fence separating two zoo animals before they're introduced into the same enclosure

i imagine virtues aren't given much room for individuality, so v1 actually has to memorize their mannerisms and slowly discern them specifically from all the data it has stored on general virtues. i'd also like to give them actual "designs" soon, and their colors are all very slightly off from one another so it can tell them apart if it takes a close look. in the beginning though, when things are definitely still tense (and terrifying for the poor virtues lol), gabriel has them come up with a signal for v1 to recognize so it knows to stand down. doesn't entirely prevent a couple of shots fired, but eventually they come to understand each other (and maybe even have some enjoyment in each other's company :])
