Oh my gosh love the Eldritch aesthetic aghh 😩 literally one of my fav aesthetics it's just such a thing to me. I have a perpetual fear of eyes but also find them so coll yk???

The dream was like super weird. It was about my old health teacher in highschool whom I may have had like a tiny crush on because he had like the broadest shoulders, biggest pecs and the sluttiest little waist with the pretty muscular thighs omg

But anyways, I had a dream where I could turn into a wolf at will like werewolf situation but my septum piercing carried over into my wolf form and in the dream I ran behind my old highschool and transformed so I could run to the plaza across the street where there was a dollar general, and I ended up running in front of his car. So I went and got a monster and shit from the dollar general and then I woke up, drank some water and passed back out and the dream continued except I was in gym because he doubled as my gym and health teacher and he like dragged me out of class. In my gym one of the doors in the back led to the back of the school by his office n shit so he like trapped me in there and said "your piercing gave you away" and like pinned me against a wall. Anyways, it proceeded into smut and I woke up with some wet pants lemme tell ya it was BAD

Yeah it's cuz I thinks he's like the biggest baddest fucker so I wanna spite him with it because he thinks I'm too much of a sissy to handle the pain or to go against him in any way. I wanted to get the same tattoo he has on his back bc I use to admire him, but not no more

I've done basically nothing but lay down and be exhausted since kirb2k over 2 months ago, but I did at least get the kirbox orders fulfilled. I have an immunology appointment in another 2 1/2 months and maybe they might do something to help me feel better. (it's a bad time. I know it seems to be most of what I talk about, but it is kind of all-consuming. even this roundup wore me out.)

also there are sometimes comments that make me smile but I don't have anything to add to them so I just read them and smile and don't put them in the roundups, but I promise I do see them all, like the many yeehaws (and yes haws and heehaws) for [cowboy kirb] <3

Eddie Munson x Steve Harrington

Summary: Robin drags her best friend to a Corroded Coffin show. How were they to know sparks would fly between Steve and a member of the band? (aka, the fic where Steve fixes Eddie's hair before a show and falls in love immediately)

Word Count: 2.7K for this chapter, but it's an ongoing fic

Warnings: Everybody is a gay disaster, Hairstylist!Steve is a petty bitch, Rockstar!Eddie is a bit of a diva, Robin knows Steve too well, nothing crazy yet but I reserve the right to get crazy later

A/N: Here we go again, folks! I can't stop writing lol. Steve's jealousy in this chapter makes me laugh, so enjoy! PS, would anyone be interested in me creating fake lyrics to Corroded Coffin songs? As always, thanks for reading ❤️

“No way. Dude, that’s so fucking dope.” Eddie could not believe what he was staring at. “Guys! Come see this!” He gestured for the others in the band to come closer to him and this fan - Bri, that was her name - who had gotten a Corroded Coffin tattoo. She had an actual, permanent, badass tattoo about Eddie’s band, and that was the coolest thing that had ever happened to him. A tattoo? Hooooly shit. “Thank you, we are so honored.”

“You’re welcome,” she responded. “The song just meant a lot to me, you know? Like, I don’t know exactly what you were going through, but it’s so universal I think.”

The tattoo was a reference to one of the band's earliest songs, ‘86’  - written entirely by Eddie his senior year. He was flipping burgers at the time, which was totally humiliating, by the way, and they used to always use the term 86 when something ran out. Anyway, at that point in his life he felt rejected quite a bit. Left out. Eighty-sixed. You know? 

It was probably their softest song, sound-wise, but that didn’t mean it was less angry than their other music. In fact, it was one he wrote while he probably felt the most angry, or hopeless at least. They hadn’t played it tonight, because it didn’t match the vibe, but it was one of his favorites.

And this girl, Bri, had a tiny 86 on the inside of her wrist. She had lots of tattoos, actually. He noticed one on her collar bone of a slice of watermelon.

“What’s this one for?” he asked, curious.

“I just really like watermelon,” she replied. 

Eddie smirked. He kinda liked this girl.

“Tattoos are so cool,” Robin sighed, staring wistfully at her future date. “I wish I had one.” 

“You can get one, you know,” Steve responded. “Oh, right. You do know, because of the time you dragged me to a shop and got all the way to the chair just to panic and run out of the store.”

“I thought we agreed to never mention that again.”

“It was relevant,” Steve shrugged.

He watched Eddie interact with Bri, like he was smitten or something. Steve wondered if that’s what he looked like. He figured he held it together enough before in the dressing room, but now? He really had to keep himself restrained. 

This is fine. Pretending he didn’t like guys was something he used to do all the time. Eddie smirked at something she said, and ran his fingers through his beautiful hair. This is fine, god dammit. 

Steve couldn’t get a good read on Bri, despite the intrigue. She was facing away from him, so it was hard to tell exactly how she was feeling, but she seemed somewhat receptive to Eddie’s charms. It’s just that she had also just accepted to go on a date with Robin. 

Not that it’s bad for someone to accept a date and then flirt with other people. She was completely in her rights, and it didn’t really have anything to do with her anyway. With awesome, perfect, beautiful Bri who somehow had the attention of both Robin and Eddie. Fantastic. 

Eddie was fully enraptured in his conversation with her, now. 

Yes, okay, fine! Steve was kind of a jealous person! I mean, he had jealous tendencies. Or, more accurately, when he felt jealous he turned a little petty. If he had to have a bad quality, there are worse ones, you know? But otherwise, he thought he was a pretty good dude. He made decent money for a 24 year old. He was good at his job. He was loyal and protective, and he always tried to see the good side of things - tried being the key word there.

Eddie was way too good at flirting with these women, almost like it was nothing. How could he do that? Do the fans really mean that little to him that he’d just go after them all and wait for one to stick? It wasn’t the worst tactic, and it’s not like he was being disrespectful about it, but still. He was laying it on so thick it was insane. 

Ah, shit. It was none of Steve’s business. Eddie could do whatever he wanted with whoever he wanted, but Steve had the petty, judgemental thought anyway - Am I attracted to a fuckboy?

“Well, it was so great to finally meet you. Hopefully I’ll catch you at another show sometime.”

Eddie was impressed at how cool and collected Bri was. She seemed to completely respect his work, and even though she was a huge fan and had a Corroded Coffin tattoo, she didn’t come off like she had an altar at home dedicated to them or anything like that - although Eddie couldn’t deny he’d still think that was dope.

“Yeah, I hope I do.” He smiled at her, genuinely, without a trace of the fake flirtation he was so used to putting on for these women. She smiled back, then waved goodbye and took off, leaving only Steve and Robin in front of him.

“Well, well, well.” Eddie’s eyes narrowed, eager to find out how this conversation was going to go. “If it isn’t my knight in shining…polo?” He noticed Robin snort at his joke, but Steve crossed his arms, defiant.

“Fuck you, it’s a Cuban collar.” Eddie’s eyes widened in surprise, which was the first big reaction Steve had been able to get from him. It’s kind of what he was going for, despite the fact he was coming off a bit aggressive. “And I don’t own any shiny clothing, that’s tacky.” He allowed the corners of his mouth to turn upwards just enough to show that he was, in fact, being a dick as a joke. Robin shot him a suspicious glance, and he knew it was only a matter of time before she figured him out, like she always did.

Steve tended to act kind of mean like this towards guys he liked.

“Please forgive my friend, it’s well past his bedtime,” Robin chimed in, sending another quick glare in Steve’s direction. 

“I’ll let it slide since he saved my ass earlier,” Eddie replied. “Good to see you, Buckley.”

“You remember me???” Steve tried not to groan at how excited Robin sounded. He really needed to calm down. None of this was really a huge deal, anyways. It had just been a long day, was all.

“Well yeah, you were the only person in English class worth talking to. Come here, doll.” Eddie pulled a completely stunned Robin into a hug - this was two unexpectedly positive interactions with people in a row for her, and entirely unprecedented. Steve felt a pang of jealousy at the idea of Eddie having a crush on Robin, or even just him flirting with her right in front of him. Why did Eddie get no sass at the term doll when Steve was always yelled at for calling her darling? It was a stupid reason to be jealous, considering Eddie had no shot with Robin, and besides, why did Steve care so much about who Eddie flirted with anyway? They literally just met.

“So you guys actually…knew each other back then?” Steve asked, confused.

“Not well or anything,” Robin clarified. “We just had one class together my Freshman year. But yeah, Corroded Coffin started in Hawkins. How do you think I learned about them?”

“Shit,” Steve said, eyebrows furrowed. “I had no idea.”

“Seriously, where the hell were you in high school?” Robin asked, annoyed.

“I know, right? It’s not like my presence was subtle,” Eddie chimed in. 

“I was…busy, alright?” Steve had been dealing with his own problems back then, so he wasn’t really in tune with a lot of what was going on at Hawkins High. He knew about the sports teams, because he was on them. He knew who hosted the best parties, and who started the chlamydia outbreak senior year - that was a wild few weeks. 

“Yeah, busy being a douchebag,” she teased. Eddie burst out laughing, which pissed Steve off even more.

He didn’t know Robin back then, but she knew him, and she made it very clear they would not have been friends. But none of that mattered, because Steve matured a lot once the stupid teen pressure of popularity, social status, and the constant need to look cool disappeared. Robin was the one who initiated all that change, basically, when they worked together the summer after he’d graduated. The rest is history.

“Well, I’m glad you came out tonight.” Eddie did not make it clear whether by you he meant you in the singular sense, as in Robin, or you in the plural, as in you all - you both. 

Despite growing increasingly annoyed with Eddie and his stupid sexy hair, Steve obviously hoped it was the latter.

Steve was somehow both exactly what Eddie expected while simultaneously full of surprises. Perhaps it wasn’t Steve’s actions and words that were surprising, but the way they came off. Steve was actively being an asshole, just like he had been years prior, but this time it felt less obtrusive, and a whole lot more amusing.

Fuck you, it’s a Cuban collar. That was the most ridiculous sentence Eddie had ever heard, and Steve’s sincerity made it even better. 

It must have been hot in the pit or something - Eddie noticed Steve had unfastened the button closest to his collar (the one of Cuban variety, apparently - although Eddie had never heard that term before in his life). His hair was a little more disheveled, his posture more relaxed, and the way he talked to Robin was vastly different than the way he’d appeared to Eddie before the show, or how he’d ever looked back in high school. 

Ah, shit. Eddie sighed, unable to put the stupid thought away once it had been created. Am I attracted to Steve Harrington?

Eddie tucked that thought away to deal with later, because he sure as hell wasn’t going to let it ruin his fun for the night. It’s not like he never thought about Steve’s looks - of course he did. It’s that Steve had always been attractive. He had always been known to be attractive, by everybody. It’s part of the reason Eddie hated him so much. 

And it was supposed to be the loser’s turn now - Eddie’s turn - because he was finally starting to feel confident in himself and his looks, and he was finally starting to become successful. 

Everything was coming up Eddie Munson. 

Steve Harrington and his perfect arms were irrelevant.

Eddie was extremely pleased to see Robin doing well, however. She had been in the lower ranks of popularity with Eddie, even though neither of them were ugly people or anything. Now, she obviously had more confidence (even though she was still the same in regards to her nervous energy). She was wearing a crop top, showing off her midriff. Eddie didn’t know her too well, but most people could have deduced that she would never have had the courage to wear something like that in high school. Not that she’d have been allowed to, for stupid dress code reasons, but whatever. 

“Hey, man, you ready to head out?” Eddie looked next to him to see Jeff, and realized the rest of the band had already packed everything up while Eddie was busy talking to the people at the door. It was kind of a point of contention sometimes, between him and the rest of the band, that they always seemed to do the behind the scenes cleanup while Eddie got all the credit. But it’s not that he planned it that way - the fans were the ones who would make them famous, give them money. Eddie was basically networking, although it didn’t hurt that it stroked his ego at the same time. The band, however, were being all professional and shit, which was nice too but not super metal. They’d hadn’t gotten in trouble yet or anything, and that was all because of them. 

Which was good. But Eddie couldn’t foresee himself ever missing out on these interactions outside the stage door. Just the way it was. 

“Uh, yeah,” Eddie responded. He turned back to Steve and Robin. “You guys still down to come along?”

Robin nodded, enthusiastically, which was a reaction Eddie expected. He braced himself for whatever snark Steve was going to give him - maybe he’d even make some excuse about having to go home because it was sooo late or whatever - it was literally not even 9pm. 

But, yet again, Steve surprised him.

“Yeah, where do you have in mind?”

Eddie didn’t know why Steve was so down to go out still, because of the way he’d continued to look mildly annoyed the entire night.

And then he remembered the goofy way he was jumping around, singing earlier at the show, and he figured that Steve was somewhere in there still. And that Steve seemed like a good time. 

Eddie told them their usual bar that they went to when they were in the area, and they all agreed to meet there.

“What the hell is wrong with you? He was being totally nice, and you were acting like a jerk for no reason.” Robin was lecturing him in her tiny green car that she loved so much as they made their way to the bar Eddie told them to go to - neither of them had been before, but she’d heard of it from a coworker and it sounded like a fun place. 

“I know, I’m sorry. I’ll be better at the bar, I promise,” Steve said. 

“You better, because this is a really cool thing to have happened to us and I’m not letting you and your stupid romantic self-sabotaging tendencies ruin it.” 

“Oh my god, it’s a mildly cool thing, Robin,” Steve insisted, before processing the rest of her sentence. There was no point in saying, what are you talking about? Because he knew. They both knew. “And I only self-sabotage when absolutely necessary.” 

“That’s a lie,” Robin scoffed. “You’re getting special treatment from an actual Rockstar just because you were in the right place at the right time. Just submit to the fact that it’s awesome, okay?”

“Okay, fine!” Steve exclaimed with his hands in the air.

“So you have a crush on Eddie Munson,” she stated. Steve groaned at the words being out in the open. “What’s the big deal? We’re not in high school anymore, and Eddie’s a good-looking guy.” 

“First of all, it’s not a crush. I barely know him,” Steve corrected.

“I think you crossed into at least acquaintance territory when he let you cut his hair,” Robin replied. Steve thought about this, and couldn’t disagree.

“It’s also when I crossed into gay panic territory,” he admitted. Robin laughed, then nodded in understanding.

“Yeah, seems like an intimate thing. I don’t know how you’ve gotten this far without wanting to bang a client before.” 

“Robin!” Steve yelled, exasperated. “We’ve been over this. It’s -”

“Extremely unprofessional, I know. Steve, you have to loosen up a bit. You’ve gotten a little…” She paused, grimacing at the hole she’d put herself in. 

“A little what?” Steve waited patiently for her to finish. She sighed.

“I’m sorry,” she prefaced. “But you’re so focused on work nowadays that we don’t have as much fun anymore. And it’s kind of like…Well, like when I first met you.”

“Noooo, you take that back,” Steve snapped, shocked. He wasn’t upset with her or anything, he just couldn’t believe he’d ever get that bad.

“Think about it,” she responded. So he did think about it. He thought about all the nights he’d stayed in, how he’d become a bit of a Debbie Downer, how he’d become less open and more judgemental. It had even been a while since he’d called and checked in on Dustin. He sighed.

“Shit. I’m sorry, Robin.” 

“Don’t sweat it, just do better. Mmkay?”

He’d do anything for Robin, literally anything. So, he was going to be the most fun he could possibly be for the rest of the night. It was one drink, with a decent band, on a Friday night, and it was going to be fun, dammit. Minor crush on Eddie Munson be damned. 

It was just a crush, right?

I also watched Italia's Ru Paul Drag Race with friends (surprisingly... good and fun?) and am watching Masterchef Italy with my mom :)

Last movie I watched was Morbius LMFAO 💀 because I saw they put it on Amazon Prime and wanted a good laugh (good god does it suck, but also make you laugh a lot at how bad it is)

Sweet/Spicy/Savory: I can't do spicy. I'm white. I will die if I eat spice. No the italian status will not do shit to counter it, I'm from north italy, we're basically watered down germans. I love both savory and sweet, but I'm especially a fan of strong flavors like licorice, salty licorice (salmiakki), lemon, ginger, and vinegar

Last thing I googled: "ed sheeran kid" LMFAO because a friend told me he has a kid and went WHAT? this dude reproduced? and had to google to actually believe it

Current Obsession: Probably studying finnish, have been for the past 6 months and it's been really fun and rewarding. I haven't actually studied a language since... english in high school? So it was so fun to get back at studying, especially a brand new cool language.

And also discovering new tasty beers with my friend! 🍺

“Babe!!!” Mic ran up to you, shaking you while you were just trying to enjoy your time sitting on the couch playing some video games.

“Oh my god what Mic?!” You looked into his spiraly green eyes which were full of excitement.

“I wanna get a tattoo!”

“What?! No way! Not after what happened with the piercing! This is ten times worse I swear to god.”

“Come on dude! I already have the design I want. I just wanted to dedicate it to the rooftop pals back in high school!” He shoved a piece of paper in your face of the most beautiful tattoo you had ever seen.

“Mic… it's beautiful.”

“So… Uh… I'm gonna go get it… wanna come with me?” He fiddled with his keys and gave you a hopeful look.

“Of course I'll come with you, Mic.”

“Wait a goddamn minute!” You were in the bathroom for not even two minutes and came back to find the design Mic wanted on his ribcage to give him a little idea of what he was going to get and get the pre tracing sketch. “You didn't tell me you wanted it on your ribcage, Mic! That’s an awful idea!”

“Oh, come on! I thought it would be cool right there. And hidden.”

“Mic… you do know that the ribcage is the most painful place to get a tattoo… right?”

“Oh, it can't be that bad! I got a piercing, so this should be fine!”

“Y/N! I'M SCARED!” Mic freaked out the moment the tattoo artist came in with the needle. “I DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD LOOK LIKE THAT!!!”

You sighed. This man was impossible, but god you loved him. “You’ll be fine, Mic. Plus, it's to commemorate friends, right?”

Mic nodded, trying not to look at the needle as tears pricked his eyes.

“You got it, Mic. I know you do.” You pressed a kiss onto the corner of his mouth, which made him automatically more confident.

But to no avail.

Mic screamed through the entire tattoo while grabbing onto you. He didn't want to move an inch so as to not ruin the tattoo and in fear that it would somehow be more painful. You definitely had a couple of bruises after that grabbing from Mic. Luckily, the parlor was mostly empty, but you knew that everyone outside could hear your loud boyfriend.

It felt like forever, but eventually, the tattoo was done.

Mic teared up looking in the mirror at the finished design, not only from the pain, but from the art itself. “I love it.”

“You did great, bubba.” You kissed Mic on the cheek and looked at the tattoo. “I love it.”

“This is gonna hurt to heal, huh?”

“You’re a big boy.”

So the reveal trailer just dropped. Got some thoughts running in my mind and here's a few of them:

So, the rumors are true. Julian Kostov is Makarov. And I'm not sure how to feel about it.

Am I happy they still (yes people. he has always been attractive. go look up his concept art) choose to make him hot? Of course. Grateful even. I pretty much swore if they pull a Shepherd makeover on him, I'll lose it. However, am I happy with how he looks? Not really. Was hoping they cast someone that, while not necessarily have to look the exact the same as OG Makarov, at least have the same vibe. (Idk how to describe it but yeah I hope it makes sense lmao)

Idk what age Activision intends to make him (mid 30s? early 40s?), but that man looks late 20s 😭 . I'm not saying he looks.. what's the word? boyish? but yeah something similar I guess.

I know Activision must've noticed the hype of making villains hot, and I agree with that thought but why they made him "pretty boy" looks?

For me, Makarov have the appearance of "unconventionally attractive". He have that sort of rugged face with scars all over, dead predatory bicolor eyes. Basically, dude actually looks kinda old and you can get the hint that he was a veteran. Unless Actvision really do intends on making the new him younger and have a different past, well okay then. Also, I know the lighting wasn't that good in that prison, but it seems like he no longer had heterochromia. Welp.

Speaking of veteran, I'm curious if they choose to keep his past the same as before. Was he in the army? Was he ex-Spetsnaz Captain? Same reason for being discharge? Same place of birth? Well, I guess we'll have to see in the next trailer. Or when the game comes out. I swear if they turn him into some kind of Non-Action Big Bad...

No sign of Yuri. Wonders who will play him. Will he looks the same as before? (you know what? forget i ask that.)

Even more funny twist if they decides to just forget about Yuri (don't you dare Activision).

Soo his tattoos. I don't wanna comment anything about it since I don't have enough and proper knowledge of Russian prison tattoos, how it works and stuff. So, I'll just leave that alone. It does looks good though. But funny enough, someone at tiktok said he lowkey looks Jared Leto Joker. Even the hairstyle. Ofc, not the colors though. And now, I can't unsee it either.

However, I do appreciate how obviously intimidating his presence affects the other prisoners. Just a shame about his face though.

On a positive note, I'm excited to see how the event will unfold. From the trailer, there seems to a few glimpse of missions, some of those looks like No Russian even?

Another one of my "in denial thoughts" is, what if the whole prison thing was flashback Makarov? And in the present time, someone else plays him? (yeah yeah i know. i'll stop ✋️)

To conclude, I hope at the very least in this new version Makarov, they give him what the OG Makarov lacks. Proper characterizations, motives and in-depth personality. More than just "hohoho evil russian wants to take over europe".

And no, I'm not asking Activision to gives justification of his actions. Yes, he's evil. Yes, he's a murderous maniac. No justification for that dude lol. I just ask at least give us a peek of his past life. Who he was and who he could've been.

After the first day we met I thought of her almost every night, she promised I wouldn't see her again, though I pretend to not hear that part.

It was the day after my birthday, a few of my college friends and I wanted to hang out free of the dreadful week that we survived, the air was specially cold that night so I took my favourite leather jacket with me.

she was already there when we enter, by her side, her best friend was flirting with a guy, we exchanged a few glances for some time, my friend Jesse pushing me to approach her, she smiled when I spoke

"hello beautiful"

"I thought you were never going to come"

"I guess I am a bit shy"

"do I make you shy?" moving her hair back with her hand, making it obvious she was joking, unintentionally, a chuckle scaped my lips

"your next drink is on me, choose it wisely" I looked at her eyes, but her plump shiny lips where calling me so loudly

"too much pressure for a drink" propping herself straight in her stool "I guess I'll go with a classic appletini"

"an appletini? Really? The fruitiest drink of them all?"

"what do you mean? Is a fun spin on a cult classic" she said with a comically fake offended expression

"two apple martinis please" I told the bartender, a tall guy with lots of tattoos, he was eying my friend Jesse very hard, up and down, "dude, don’t eat him up like that" she said after following my eyesight "my bad" the bartender said with a small chuckle "two apple martinis"

"I guess my friend Jesse draws attention to himself" I said jokingly while we took both our martinis 

"your friend huh? Are you near as good at twerking as he is?" she said while slightly laughing at the weird moves he was pulling on Dina my roommate, his girlfriend

"not even in my wildest dreams" we laugh, her hand reached mine to put our martinis on the bar table near us

"well, Ms wild dreams, what is your name?" she ask in my ear while getting off her stool

She was moving her body against mine, I was trying so hard not to touch every inch of her, I saw her getting frustrated with the second, "don’t mind if you touch me" she said in my ear

"smoke brake?" I asked, she grabbed my hand dragging me through the ocean of burning bodies dancing against each other.

The city air hit my face as soon as we stepped out of the place,  a few cars here and there would pass by and few people were out smoking too, the faint sound of the music could be heard from afar, the atmosphere was surprisingly sort of relaxing.

"you never told me your name"

"Y/n"a slight smile planted her lips, fitting really, her name somehow made sense

She took out a small tin box, "mj or cigs?" she said without looking at me, "mj is better" "absolutely correct" she opened the tin box, a small pack of rolling paper, some filters, a tic-tac box fill with weed, I chuckled,  a glass pipe with the shape of a cigarette, a pen cap, and a cleaner was seen on the box. "give me your hands" she said while grabbing my hands, I extended them slightly on front of me, she used me like a table, filling her pipe and pressing the weed with the cap "fuck I forgot my lighter" she said closing the box and saving It in her bag.

I took out my lighter and put the pipe in between her lips, didn’t miss the chance to touch her bottom lip with my fingers, she looked deep into my eyes, I lit up the weed and she drag the thick smoke while looking hard into my hands, so she was into that huh?

"I love your tattoos" she said after a few drags

"I have more in other places"

"underneath that pretty jacket of yours?"

"would you like to see them?" and up until that point I realized we were inches apart

"wanna go to my place? "she said looking at me, her eyes were starting to gloss up, my mouth started to feel dry

"I feel like my feet are sand" she laughed, I couldn’t stop laughing either

omg YES i would love to…..thank you anon…..more stuff under the cut (refs included!) also fair warning i’ve had a drink and i’m a little sleepy so i apologize if it seems ramble-y or half-baked BUT i really love this topic

so i base rikki’s style in the 1990s off of both faith no more-era mike patton and motley crue in the 90s. i wanted to get inspiration on both sides here lol but i did find myself looking more towards tommy lee’s style specifically, probably because pam anderson was one of my major influences when i designed nikki.

anyway so i wanted this just general cool guy appearance for young rikki. i wanted the “rockstar who doesn’t give a shit about the industry” look. and i’m just talking about everyday fashion here—i think he goes much wilder when it comes to things like big performances and public appearances/award shows/red carpet stuff/etc.

specifically his normal fashion includes things like darker clothes, tops that show off his tattoos, LOTS of chains/accessories, piercings, dyed and styled hair, facial hair, graphic tees, and typically not a lot of layers. overall he’s meant to come off as a Cool Young Dude you don’t wanna mess with.

the type of fashion that 90s crue had was pretty much in direct response to how glam metal had pretty much died with the 80s and was leaning more towards this new grunge sound that defined the 90s. you see the glam inspirations in the looks while still trying to look, well, more modern. idk it’s just interesting to me, and it’s fun to take inspiration from both that and fnm-era mike because he was arguably dressing much more like the aforementioned grunge guys were. so it’s fun trying to find a bit of middle ground when i’m clothing rikki here. overall though i still take more insp from the glam metal guys bc i just think that fits rikki more :^] AND it plays into how he dressed and markets himself in the 2000s.

speaking of. let’s talk about the 2000s. there was a style that emerged at this time that i think really was the perfect combination of the aforementioned styles. this was an aesthetic that had somewhat come out of early 2000s styles—styles categorized mainly by the emphasis on overindulgence, hyper-spending, luxury, and as a direct response to the minimalist designs of the time—and, while i don’t think there’s one agreed upon name, i’ve dubbed this mid-to-late 2000s look the “spikeTV look.” think bedazzled shirts and jeans, splatters, graffiti and tattoo motifs, and warmer colors. it has all the glam of the previous looks with the callbacks to grunge culture.

see, the thing about this look, is that i find it to be…….marketable. these looks became very popular, and i think designs along these lines feel very synonymous with the mid-to-late 2000s for a lot of people. it was almost like a watered down version of the luxurious, ultra decadent looks of the early 2000s—a more attainable, personable version of it to many people because……..do you know what happened in the year 2008, the year SnBII takes place? the recession. now i’m not about to sit here and figure out/debate on how THAT would work out in the context of the mtl universe at least not today but i will say that i do think that is something crucial to keep in mind when it comes to discussing this aesthetic and era of fashion and how it pertains to rikki.

rikki, at this point, is doing everything in his power to be relevant again. he’s purposefully selling himself as a brand for the first time, and he’s trying to be as marketable as possible in that respect. BUT the thing is, people know and recognize and love him as the bad boy rocker he was in the 90s, buuut also people (as in, the general public) aren’t really looking for That right now in this year 2008. so what better way than to look like a much tamer version of that? you still have the general Cool Guy look, but things are a little more covered up, you’re wearing warmer colors, and you still shine, but it’s not coming from your piercings and chains, it’s coming from the rhinestones on your ed hardy tee.

Made myself make decent cleaning headway before I sat down to answer these. Gonna pick three at random!

🖊PERCI

You know this guy! He's actually ended up being one of my favorite OCs that I've designed in a while ;v; Perci is a Passimian poke-human with an unsavory past, but incredibly optimistic outlook. He'll never turn down a fight and his stature and appearance might be initially intimidating, but he'd carry your groceries for you or walk you home late at night in a heartbeat.

Perci never learned how to read and this bites him in the ass from time to time, most often in the form of pit-fighting contracts that he blindly signs without being able to question the fine print....or... any of the print really.

I absolutely adore that I got to make a character drawing from some of my absolute favortite characters in media. Perci is a soup seasoned with Vash the Stampede, Zack Fair, Sanosuke Sagara, and Zagreus, and I love him. Big scary dude covered in tattoos and nasty scars but is actually rly nice (most of the time) and kind who is missing a finger and tells kids he lost it from running with scissors or not looking both ways before he crossed the street.

His friendship with Kitan (OC belonging to luc!) makes me wanna cry sometimes, i love them dearly. Unlikely but meaningful and lasting friendships always make me wanna weep. Truly just so soft for them.

I always want to design Perci more tattoos but that means I have to draw more tattoos. Perci is my "I wish I could get more tattoos" surrogate character. Who I give tattoos to because I can't afford any for myself lmao.

Drawing Perci's pecs and biceps make me happy lol. I truly just designed him to be incredibly self-indulgent and tbh, everyone should do this more often it's so fun.

I should really draw Perci more I've had a lot of little comic ideas for him floating around in my head I am just bad at actually committing them to paper.

Thalliah is one of my GW2 sylvari. When I designed her my goal was "I want her to be pink and as pretty as possible."

I mean look at her I'd say I succeeded:

She is the assistant to Cal (OC belonging to @pocketoon) and together they run the Calla Lilly Wedding Company, here for all your wedding needs! In addition to being colleagues, the two are also good friends and have a great amount of trust and respect for each other.

Thalliah is extremely up-beat, outgoing and is incredibly good with people. She is usually the point of contact for clients while Cal handles the itineraries, organization, and budgeting. She has a way with people and is good at making people happy without being a pushover. She has a keen sense for knowing when to give a little, and when to put her foot down and this diplomatic attitude has come in clutch many a time in their line of work.

After the whole Mordremoth incident their business (being entirely Sylvari owned and operated) took a huge hit and it definitely had an impact on Thalliah's outlook. She hadn't expected people to react as strongly and for as long as they did. Their business suffered and is still recovering, but things at present are definitely on an up-swing. More than anything Thalliah loves to see people happy. And what's happier than helping to join people together in the name of love?

Thalliah is an amateur seamstress and has a passion for flower arrangement. In what little free time she has she is often pursuing crafts and her hobbies. She loves fashion and often tries new looks, though her palettes rarely change. She delights in new experiences and will leap at the chance to try new foods, experience new climates and meet new people.

Thalliah, while significantly better at knowing when to take breaks and rest than Cal, still struggles with feeling aimless or useless when she is not actively doing something.

I think Thalliah sometimes struggles with self-worth. Not in a deep and profound "I'm a tiny and insignificant crumb in the universe" kind of way, but in a "I'm not useful If I can't make people happy." Kind of way. It's not something that bothers her often, but is one of those things that can flare up from time to time and lead her to push herself harder than she sometimes should.

🖊TORI

One of my newest babes. Tori is the result of myself and my dear friend @baptizedbywitches getting back into GW Factions after a long time away.

Tori is a Necromancer from a long line of necromancers. He and his twin sister (Who belongs to @baptizedbywitches ) grew up in a very traditional Canthan household. Their family makes regular offerings and prayers to Grenth and they pass their arts down through many generations.

Tori and his sister in particular are especially gifted and are thought to have been blessed by Grenth at birth, given the complicated circumstances and tribulations during their mother's pregnancy.

While necromancy is still an art that is misunderstood by many, it was occasionally a point of contention in school when the two were younger, their whole family being seen as a bit eccentric, mysterious, and unsettling. One such contentious encounter with a classmate led to blows and Tori ended up coming home with a bruised eye dragging a kid with a similarly bruised face behind him. Tori and Zaq were nearly inseparable ever since. (Zaq belongs to @baptizedbywitches as well <3 )

Designing Tori was fun because GW1 necros are so scrugnly. Their posture is horrible. Their armor is insane. I really wanted to lean hard into the undead and tired vibe gw1 necros exude at all times. A real "Put him in a pringles can and shake him" Kind of character.

Since making regular offerings to Grenth is a very regular thing in their family, Tori often uses it as an excuse for "giving up" troublesome things like "Good Posture" and "His ability to give a shit" and "His tits"

Ah! I'm glad you did! I'm honestly really proud of it. As you can see I don't do many fighting scenes, but I wanna slowly get better at it.

It was lodging paid for by the company. Since most of their lodges are in small towns or in between small towns there aren't enough locals to fill the positions so most of their employees are from out of town or state. I got to meet all kinds of people. It was a really cool experience. The job sucked tho lol. You had to work a full six weeks before you got your two weeks, and it was 12 hour shifts.

Lol don't worry I'm not the type to force someone to watch horror with me. We could watch a good fantasy like Lord of the Rings! I love that series. Also honestly I understand that because I know the difference real gore terrifies me because all I can imagine if the pain they must have felt. I can barely listen when they try to describe it.

Uh so yeah I did it. Completely on my own. No outside pressure. After that last post it just really hit me that everything was super duper fucked and I knew contact had to be cut completely. So I did it. I blocked his number and his iCloud. He’s been blocked on ig. And it’s not like he’s gonna send me money so I haven’t blocked him on cashapp but that would be interesting to see if he will send me money to get me to talk to him…but even then it’s like umm do you have $10k because that’s what it’s gonna take and even then we’ll never be together again. That sucks to know. Because still there’s no one I’d rather be with. Truly. I mean, that’s how I feel rn. I know that will change when I meet someone who fits my standards but rn there is no one on this earth for me but him. So that why it hurts so so so so so much that he couldn’t just be a normal person. He’s so manipulative and gross dude. I keep replaying everything. It’s like I can’t even remember anything good about him which is why it makes no sense to me why I’d wanna even be with him so bad but I guess it’s because we don’t accept ourselves and it feels nice to have someone do it for us lol like I guess if I wanna get really real about it.
