Silly AU idea where SWK eventually fades into nothing due to MK growing into his powers- because he’s unknowingly taking Wukong’s powers, including his immortality. SWK knows this, and he doesn’t tell his apprentice that he’s slowly killing his mentor. MK doesn’t figure this out until Wukong has seemingly fallen ill, after it’s been too late. He can’t put the powers back, not that SWK wants them, he’s lived a long life. He’s old. Tired.

Still, it compelled him in the short few days you had together when he came by your “quarters”, either to drop off food for you or seek information.

Every word, be it a taunt at him or the blasé nature of yours in withholding, still kept him hooked as if it was your siren’s song.

You thought it annoying at first how this mortal man kept coming back to your cell. Does he wish to taunt you? But it becomes more than that.

He amused you. Very few cared what you had to say back then and now, except for him. Maybe he was try to be empathetic (or just liked the sound of his own voice), but you slowly began to tolerate him. Small accounts here and there, bits and pieces of life stories that fit like puzzles. Though it was humorous at seeing his eyes widen when you told the ancient tales of your life, you appreciated the images conjured by his life story.

Even though it made you feel sad and somewhat pity him.

James didn’t think it was anything serious until he heard you say his name. It rolled so flawlessly off your tongue, and it coursed through his body.

•Roses. Elain has been connected to roses from the first book but they are acting like she is connected to sunflowers lmfao. Bc you know Sun=day court=sunflower=lucien... mind you sunflower is not connected to lucien at all in the books. Or gwen is somehow connected to flowers/roses now.

•Death and Lovely Fawn. At this point I have seen so many variation of this. Priestess and her shadowsinger lol. Fox and fawn. Sun and his flower lmfao. GET A GRIP.

•Cobalt. Elain wearing cobalt when she first met Azriel. Suddenly Azriel’s siphons are drawn as teal. Wonder why. Lol. Or gwen is wearing cobalt dress for some reason. Lmao.

•Light and Dark. I don’t think I need to explain this. They steal it as if their “ship” is described as light and dark.

The kids get Steve and Eddie #1 mom and #1 dad mugs for Christmas which Steve doesn’t get the joke but he needs something to enjoy his coffee so he takes it. Eddie understands the joke perfectly and he takes it upon himself to show Steve his mug. The blush that appears on his face is priceless, Eddie starts laughing til his stomach is aching.
