The next day
Sunlight was already picking through the curtains when Y/N woke up. Her head was hurting, like someone was hitting it from inside. She tried to get herself up, but some weight was keeping her pinned against the mattress. She turned her head and saw a blond head she knew too well. Sure, her and Paul were big on physical touch but sleeping like this never happened. She carefully shifted to see the room without letting go of Paul’s embrace.
Y/N observed the room and the people in it. She could recognize Kimi and Ollie on the couch opposed to her, the older spooning the other. She had a moment of confusion, but she knew Kimi and Ollie had always been big on PDA even as friends. She kept looking around, checking if all her friends did make it back to the apartment. Arvid, Dino, Maya and Bianca were all sleeping on the floor with some blanket resting on them. And on the armchair, you could find Abbi and Doriane literally glued to each other, managing to fit in the tight chair. Y/N tried to get up to go eat something but all the moving and shifting in Paul’s arm woke him up.
“Hi princess!” he said with the sleepiest voice ever.
“Hi baby!” she responded, hugging him tighter.
Then she got up, after spending a few minutes convincing Paul to let her go. Y/N walked to the kitchen, open the door and faced Charles, Max, Oscar and Lewis. She brutally closed the door before reopening it. “Good morning, everybody!”
“Good afternoon actually!” Charles pointing the clock on the wall. He was right, it was indeed way past noon. 3pm actually.
“So, what’s the reason for the visit?” said Y/N trying to act cool in front of her 4 grid-dad.
“Humm…You don’t remember last night, do you?” Oscar asked.
“Euuh no …?” She responded.
“Well, we have a little explanation to do when everyone wakes up” Oscar sighed.
Max stood up and entered the living room to shout, “EVERYONE WAKES UP NOW!” The mass of teen made a groaning sound, some of them complaining about their head. There was also some confusion like Abbi and Dorianne who were looking at each other, not understanding the how and why they were like this. Same for Kimi and Ollie. After a couple minutes, the other older driver entered the room and told everyone to sit and listen to them.
“You kids are fucking mental; you should definitely know that! Before we start scolding each of you, do you actually remember what happened yesterday?” Charles was endorsing his role as the principal grid-dad of those kids.
“I remember that we met up here, we drank maybe one or two beers then we went to the bar.” said Kimi, rubbing his eyes.
“Yes, and Y/N picked up a worksite cone and put it on her head.” Gaby completed.
“I remember something about Ollie and Kimi, and Abbi and Dorianne, like they kissed or something like that” Arvid said earning some weird looks from the four.
Bianca finished their story and added “I remember Y/N got stuck on a tree, we called Oscar to help but Paul got her back before he arrived.”
“Well we have a base to work on” Max said pinching the bridge of his nose.
“It’s actually not that bad, I thought they would black out like completely.” said Lewis.
“So kids, you all got wasted at the bar and started doing random shit, like sitting on rooftops, stealing shopping carts, scooters and you also did some private things, you should check your insta especially Bianca and Y/N” Charles resumed the whole night and let all the teens check on their insta and realized all the things they did while he decided with the others grid-dads to post something to try to peace the situation.

“Stiles!” “Lydia! I’m so glad you’re okay” stiles swallowed while throwing his arms around the ginger girls shoulders. He held her head into his neck as she gasped from relief. “Is everyone back?” Scott asked walking through his living room, nodding at everyone.
“Yeah” malia nodded looking round the room confirming everyone’s appearance. “Uh no- y/n isn’t here” Theo raised an eyebrow pulling a face but keeping his thoughts to himself. “Oh- yeah y/n” malia mumbled to herself tucking her hair behind her ear awkwardly. “Oh we forgot about y/n” Lydia swallowed looked between Theo and then Scott.
“Who heard from her last?” Scott swallowed feeling the tension in the room. “Erm- not since she left” stiles licked his top row of teeth not giving anyone eye contact. “She made it to the location” Theo stepped in looking around at everyone suspiciously. Out of nowhere the door handle started rattling and the groups attention swivelled round to that.
A gentle knock followed and the eyes of the group glued onto Scott as he edged to the door, with precaution. He unlocked it pulling it open. I stood on the doorstep with tears in my eyes. “Y/n?” “Why was the door locked?” I asked gently wiping a tear off my cheek. “No reason- just an accident- come on…” Scott moved out the way opening the door wider.
“what happened?” Malia questioned seeing the dirty state I was in. “Uh you were right- it was crawling with berserkers” I nodded to Scott tucking my hair behind my ear. “I knew it! God- how are we going to get round them- did you see a way?” Malia questioned completely passing the fact I was evidently hurt. “Y/n come and sit down you’re clearly hurt” Theo pointed to the sofa with his head. “No- it’s okay- um I didn’t see a way I’m sorry, I was too busy running away from their clasp- I can always go back and…”
“No” Theo shook his head “it’s too dangerous” he outburst looking to Scott. “Theo you don’t make the decisions here- if y/n is offering to go back then…” Lydia shrugged slightly. “Scott seriously? It was possibly dangerous when you sent her the first time she got hurt- why would you send her alone again” Theo raised his eyebrow pulling a face of disgust at the group. “Theo she’s offering” Scott rolled his eyes.
“Theo stop it” I widened my eyes at him whispering under my breath. “I don’t mind- il let you know how it goes” I waved them off before squeezing past Scott to go out the door. I usally felt like I wasn’t part of the group but recently it’s picked up more. Of course I’m getting the hint but i keep thinking that if I do something helpful they will see I’m capable of being a full member. Theo came running out the door behind me.
“What are you doing?” I hissed at him from across the green front garden. It was starting to get a little late now, the sun was setting. Theo ran up to me and I didn’t even acknowledge what he was saying. He looked so pretty in the golden hour. “Y/n! Did you hear that?” He chuckled putting his hand on my arm. “What sorry no” “I said I’m coming with you” “why” I frowned turning my head.
“Y/n they are horrible to you- they shouldn’t send you back and you definitely shouldn’t go on your own” he said under his breath. “Oh, don’t sit up on your high horse you’re in the same position as me- you arrived a little late and you’re trying to get in their good books- are you mad because I’m a little better than you at doing it?” Shrugged pressing my car key to open my car. Theo pulled a face before running after me.
“Are you really that blind to it?” Theo questioned walking round to his side. “Blind to what?” I swallowed turning the car on. He invited himself in and closed us in. “Y/n they use you- they dont use me, they are open with how they feel about me- they talk about you behind your back- we aren’t in the same position” he told me as I started pulling off ten drive and taking us away from the house.
“Theo I appreciate your concern but they are my friends they don’t talk about me behind my back, if they didn’t want me to join the group they would have let me know by now” I told him smiling and shaking my head. “Oh god I feel even worse knowing you don’t see what’s happening” he whispered under his breath. “Theo will you drop it- I don’t know why you even came” I rolled my eyes frustratedly.
“I came because I don’t want anything bad to happen to you” he answered making my heart skip a beat. “And I won’t drop it because I don’t want them to hurt you when you do finally realise” he added on adding to the silence of the vehicle. “Thanks for looking out for me… but I don’t need your help I’ll win them over myself” “well if we’re in the same situation shouldn’t we stick together?” He whispered rolling his head and staring at me as I drove.
His eyes I could see out the corner of mine, along with his gorgeous smirk. He was making my legs feel like jelly. Which wasn’t wise because I was driving. “Stop looking at me like that” I told him in a small voice. “Why?” He questioned with a smile. “you’ll be responsible for your death when we drive off this cliff” i told him trying to focus on the road now. Theo chuckled to himself and then looked ahead. Nothing more was said and eventually we reached our destination. It was pretty much dark now.
It made it a lot more eerie. I stopped the car down the road and me and Theo got out looking up ahead. “What exactly are we here for” “we need to try and get in” I shrugged looking at our challenge pretending that I was screaming inside from the fear. “Come on then” he whispered walking fearlessly in front of me. “Theo- be careful” I hissed running to him. “I’m alright” he whispered putting an arm around my waist. This is how we continued to walk up the road.
I did feel a lot safer with him next to me. I looked up at his face now in the moonlight. Still gorgeous. “This is so eerie, this place was crawling with them two hours ago” I shrugged looking around like a hawk. “I believe you” he told me looking above us in the trees. My heart stopped and I froze when I heard a low growl behind us. Theo squeezed my wrist before we both slowly turned around.
There were three berserkers in front of our exit and two coming from the sides of us. “Run” theo whispered to me. I saw fear in his eyes when I looked across at him. “Come on then!” I frantically grabbed his wrist and pulled him as I started running. He eventually realised what we were doing and what was going on, and he started running properly getting a full grip on my hand now. “Stop stop stop!” I squealed as two more stepped out in front of us.
As we stopped to turn one of them grabbed my arm. It pulled me squeezing my arm so tightly. “Theo!” I screamed as he held on tightly to my hand. I saw his eyes flash as his wolf anger began to show. His claws came out as he held on to me and let out a howl calling for Scott’s help. “Theo let go” I cried out pulling away from him. He fell just dodging one of their hands coming out to him. The berserker wrapped me in its giant arms as I squirmed, screaming to get out of its harsh embrace.
Theo jumped up and was now fighting them off while this one carried me away. “Theo!” I screamed thrashing about trying to get free. “Y/n!” He desperately called out for me. The last thing I saw was him watching me and he fought off the rest that surrounded him. That was before the berserker knocked me out against a tree.
Theo took an opportunity to duck under one of their arms and get away from the circle they were creating. Him being the piggy in the middle. He looked at what why I could have been taken but I was long gone. Theo felt panic spread across his body. “No- y/n” he whispered to himself before pulling it together and running away from the ones left. Theo jumped straight into my car and raced back to Scott’s house breaking every road sign and camera. He pounded on Scott’s door.
When he finally opened it he was in shorts and no top. He covered his mouth to yawn before letting Theo continue. “Y/n has been taken” he breathed with wide eyes. “What? By the berserkers?” Scott asked jerking his head back. “That’s odd- that haven’t taken anyone before usually just killed” “we can’t let that happen- we have to get y/n back” Theo ranted becoming a bit jittery from the adrenaline.
“Everyone’s gone home and got into bed” Scott shook his head looking at his pjs. “They aren’t going to want to come back out” he admitted looking at Theo who’s face had dropped. “Are you joking?” “No- it’s late” Scott pulled back getting defensive. “She’s part of your group are you joking, please say you are” he threw his head back taking a step down to get away from Scott. “We will get her back just in a few days when we plan out how to get in”. Theo shook his head.
“Count me out of this group, I don’t like how you treat outsiders” Theo looked Scott up and down before backing off. “You’re making a mistake leaving” Scott shouted as Theo walked off but he just scoffed, which Scott only heard using his wolf ears. Theo jumped back in my car and sat for a second with both hands on the steering wheel.
He was just thinking. Thinking about what to do. “Come on Theo, you can do this yourself” he whispered to himself. “You don’t need the pack” “just need to think” he told himself seriously. “I can do this” he nodded before starting the car back up. He then drove as fast as he could back to the place I was taken. He over took cars on dangerous roads, risked his life and other peoples to get to me.
Theo drove right up to the entrance and got out with glowing eyes. It was quiet. It was dark. Theo looked around for something to sink his teeth into. Out the corner of his eye he saw a berserker come out the trees. Theo headed straight toward it with no fear this time only anger. Theo went under his arm and kicked his back so the berserker was on the floor. With one punch to the head Theo cracked the skull of the creature and it stopped moving.
He looked around for something else to kill, but his ear twitched. Clapping started appearing and Kate walked out of the tree like. “Well done- not many people who can kill berserkers” she raised an eyebrow looking him up and down. “Is this what you want?” She held the triskillian in her hand up at theo. “No” Theo shook his head. Kate jerked her head backwards. “Yes it is” she frowned. “No- I’ve left that pack- I don’t care what they want” he snarled.
“Don’t say you’ve come to join the opposite side you rebel” she winked at him but Theo just rolled his eyes. “Kate, I just want y/n back” “y/n?” She pulled a face. “Oh the one with y/c hair- the petite one?” “Yes y/n” Theo nodded once. “We don’t have her anymore” Kate shrugged carelessly. “What do you mean? Who has her?” “Nobody- I thought she’d ran back to the pack she got away” Kate explained. Just then, to the side of the two the leaves started rustling.
“Call off your berserkers Kate, I’m no threat to you” Theo told her dangerously. He was feeling a lot of emotions right now. “Theo that’s not one of them” she shook her head looking intrigued. Theo’s claws retracted out as he stared at the leaves. I stumbled out barely being able to even see straight. I thought I could hear his voice so I walked towards it. I could see a figure in the distance and it must have been him. Or I was hallucinating from the blood loss. “Theo?” I called out quieter than I thought I’d said it.
“Y/n” Theo whispered to himself before running over to me as quick as he could. “Y/n can you hear me” he whispered rubbing my cheek with his thumb. I didn’t say anything but I moved my hand up to hold his as I fell in and out of consciousness. “Take her to the hospital” Kate called out. “You’re just going to let us go? Just like that?” “You told me you’re no longer part of the pack- why’s that?” Kate shrugged stepping closer. “I told them y/n needed help that she’d been taken- but they didn’t care- they treat her badly- I don’t like their morals” he answered.
“Then they’re your enemy just as much as mine, it would be silly to hurt a potential ally” Kate raised an eyebrow. Theo didn’t say anything he just turned to me ignoring her comment and lifting me into his chest. He nodded at Kate when we left and he reversed out the space. Theo then sped all the way to the hospital where he gave me across to Melisa.
The next day-
I woke up yawning in a hospital room. I was strapped into a bed and was attached to various drips. Theo was sitting in the corner with his eyes closed on a chair. They’d given him a blanket too. I smiled at him before picking up the buzzer next to me and pressing it. Theo jumped awake looking towards me. “Y-you’re awake” he stuttered scrambling up to come by my side. “Yeah- you’re here” I smiled warmly. “I- couldn’t leave you there knowing- I could do something” “Theo” I put my hand out for him to come closer.
He jumped up walking slowly over to me. He looked like he hand guilt behind his eyes. “Thank you” I breathed pulling him in for a hug. “Anytime gorgeous- anywhere” he whispered in my ear holding me tightly. “The pack were right behind me- I just am a better driver” he shrugged sitting on the side of my bed and holding my hand with both of his. “Yeah- I can imagine” I hummed rubbing his bicep gently. I looked at his arms and tried to put my whole hand around it. I couldn’t even get close.
Theo noticed what I was doing and chuckled. “Impressive mr reaken” I smiled squeezing his arm. “You know I think you’re gorgeous too” I blinked up at him. “You’ve never said it but I know that you think it” Theo winked at me leaning in closer so he could whisper. In that moment the door opened. “H-hey y/n” Scott waved smiling at me which must have been fake because he then looked at Theo with the same one.
“Oh you guys are here aw that’s so great” I smiled back, sitting up and putting my hand on my heart. Malia filtered in as the last one. Stiles and Lydia were there too. “Yeah we thought we’d come and check on you- make sure you’re ready for the big fight tonight” malia put her hands together. “Tonight?” Theo scoffed rolling his eyes. “Stop it” I whacked Theo on the rib gently. “Big fight mmh I remember you talking about it” I nodded “yeah that’s tonight so we need all hands on deck, so- we’re glad you’re okay” stiles laughed nervously.
“Obviously we would have rescued you our selves, but…” scott trailed off scratched the back of his head. “Yeah don’t worry Theo explained that you were right behind him” I smiled nodding. Scott eyed Theo before smiling at me and putting his thumb up. “Good- good good- so we will see you later then” Lydia waved and blew me a kiss. “Yeah you should go” I swiped my hand in the air.
“Mmh we should” stiles nodded making his way to the door. “Yeah you should, just don’t be expecting me at that big fight of yours” “what! Why?” Malia outburst, wrinkling her forehead. “I know Theo’s covering for you- you wasn’t right behind him you were tucked up in bed knowing I was in danger” I told them dropping the smile from my face. “I know you don’t like me and you treat me badly, you don’t appreciate me and you’re never going to accept me in this tight circle” I added in counting on my fingers.
“Y/n…” Scott blinked but I cut him off “no im not finished thank you for asking, you don’t respect me and it’s time I stopped respecting people who only showed up here to check it was okay to drag me out of bed to sit in another fight on the front line even though I’m still hurt from a previous wound from your battle you that forced me into!” I shouted pointing at the door. “You should be ashamed- and I should be ashamed it took me so long to realise” I folded my arms and lied back down.
“Y/n we…” “get the fuck out” Theo lit up his eyes standing up. “Fine” Scott swallowed and backed out the room with stiles and Lydia. “You’re both made for each other” she spat staring us up and down before storming out. Once they were gone Theo twisted his head to me. “How did you know?” He widened his eyes dropping his anger and becoming all soft again. He only did that with me. “I heard you- talking to Kate- I heard what they did to me and you and that you had left” I half smiled taking his hand to hold in mine.
“And I’ll follow you anywhere Theo raeken” I looked up into his eyes. Theo’s eyes flicked to my lips quickly and in seconds his were against mine. I smiled against his lips and put my hand against his head pulling him in closer. My heart fluttered and I didn’t want the moment to end. We pulled away staring into each other’s eyes. “I don’t know where we go from here but- I’m glad you’re here with me” Theo whispered, his eyes looked slightly scared. “We’ll figure it out together handsome” “I’ve never had anyone say that to me before” he breathed, I saw a flick of pain in his eyes.
“You have me now” I kissed his cheek gently. Theo smiled and puckered his lips for another kiss.

sexual tension with ghost that leads to sex (but he’s kinda toxic) part two
Tumblr media
“bro, did you hear something last night?” soap asks to konig, but the whole breakfast table look at him with curious eyes. “something?” konig raises an eyebrow, and you think you’re starting to sweat. “yeah, like… sex. i swear to god i heard moans all night, and i’m pretty sure i wasn’t dreaming.” holy shit, you almost choke on your pineapple juice. you stay silent, though, not wanting to say a word because you’re a bad liar and it would look suspicious.
“it must’ve been ghost and a girl, he’s a whore, we all know that.” konig chuckles, making soap agree with a laugh. my god, this is so nice; waking up to people saying that the man you casually had sex with, fucked half of the world. “did you hear it too, y/n?” soap looks at you innocently. he probably just wants to make sure you’re not being left out. “uh, not really. i think i was too tired to hear anything.” you smile half heartedly, soap raises an eyebrow.
“you literally share a fucking wall with him, your room is glued to his. shit, you really was tired, huh?” he laughs and you agree, chuckling. you stop smiling when you notice that everybody’s posture has changed. and then, you feel his presence behind you. “good morning, idiots.” ghost suddenly breaks the silence. “i need to talk to you for a second. about something. in my room.” he continues and you pray to god that he’s talking to someone else, so you stay still, staring at the window in front of you. however, no one says a word, and they’re all looking at you, waiting for some kind of reaction.
“w-what?” you chuckle anxiously, turning your body to face him. “i mean, of course.” you swallow hard, forcing a smile. at this point, they probably know that you were the bitch moaning all night. “after you.” he gestures with his hand and you nod, now walking to his room. truth is, he’s not a gentleman, he just loves your ass so much that he can’t help but admire the sight of it in these tight pants of yours. “go ahead.” he encourages you when you stop in front of his door. you nod again, entering his room.
ghost locks the door and suddenly you’re even more anxious. “please, don’t ever say that again in public.” you sigh, sitting on his comfortable chair. “i’ll say whatever i want whenever i want.” he lights up a cigarette and you roll your eyes. ghost sits on the edge of his bed, manspreading like the insufferable man he is, while he smokes his cigarette peacefully. you stare at him and you’ve just realized that he has his mask and balaclava off. fuck you, you’ll never get used to his pretty face.
“what do you want?” you ask, crossing your legs for some reason. he’s undressing you with his eyes and it makes you cheeks flush. “isn’t it obvious?” he has a very serious tone in his voice, but you know him, he’s just fucking around with you. he loves to make you feel dumb. “my body?” you joke, chuckling. “that’s funny.” he answers with no emotion at all, although he’s smirking.
“i need you…” ghost starts, but he looks very unsure about it. you frown, waiting for him to continue his sentence, but he never does. “you need me…?” you encourage him. “i need you to be in charge for a while.” he finally says, but at this point you don’t even know if he’s talking about sex or other stuff. “what do you mean?” you’re very confused as he puts the cigarette away. he’s chuckling because he knows that you’re so fucking dirty minded.
“i need you to be in charge of things here while i’m away. i’ll be gone for five days or something.” ghost explains and your heart drops for a moment. maybe because he’s the only one here that feels like home to you. a wrecked one, but still. “why me, though?” you swallow hard, not liking the idea. “because i said so.” he simply says.
“so… when you’re leaving?” you stand up, he does the same. you stare at each other for a moment. “in a few minutes.” oh. okay. you try to hide your disappointment as you smile half heartedly. “good. okay, then. i’ll try to take care of everything.” you’re terrified but he nods. “thanks.” he says, nonchalant. you know ghost hates to be vulnerable, but this time, you actually feel some kind of sincerity behind his words.
he’s looking at you as if he’s meaning to tell you something that he doesn’t feel comfortable enough to. so you wait for him, you wait for his time. as if the universe is against you, ghost comes closer to you. you hold your breath as he takes a deep one. he places a kiss on your shoulder, making you already lose your senses. “my bed will miss us.” he says in a low tone, almost a soft one, but you know better. he could miss the sex, but not you as a person. his smirk makes you want to punch him and kiss him at the same time.
“the team sure won’t.” you both chuckle. ghost starts kissing your neck and you’re not you anymore. “why’d you say it like that?” you can feel his smile against your skin. “because they heard us.” you answer as if it was obvious, making him stop kissing your neck to look at you. “us?” he raises an eyebrow, holding back a laugh. fucking asshole. “i told you to stop being so fucking loud, you just didn’t care. now face the consequences.” before you could answer, ghost grabs your neck and you immediately give up.
it feels like a breath of fresh air when he kisses you. it’s like you waited your whole life to feel his lips crash against yours again. the way he does it so impatiently but so slowly will always catch you off guard. his eager tongue exploring your mouth makes your heart miss a beat. your bottom lip between his teeth is something that you could get used to, just like the sounds that escape his mouth every now and then when he’s on the verge to fuck you.
“y/n…” he’s out of breath against your lips, forehead pressed against yours. “bend over.” you widen your eyes. his voice is pure lust, his hands wandering all over your body. you’re in front of the desk already, his torso pressing against your back. you can’t deny him, even under the risk of being heard again. so you nod as he unbuckles his belt while kissing your spine.
(…)
seven days later, ghost came back. at first, you were curious about his delay, but then you remembered that you were nothing but a casual fuck to him. therefore, you didn’t really have the right to ask him about his personal life, such as his job. you’re pulled out of your thoughts when you finally hear his voice echoing through the corridor, making you frown in your bed, since it’s four in the morning and you were trying to get some sleep.
“for fuck’s sake, johnny. i’ll take the bullet off myself, go to sleep.” you hear him complaining and you’re preoccupied. well, you hate the fact that you’re your lieutenant’s neighbor. when soap walks away, you open the door, catching ghost off guard. he’s shirtless but his arm is bleeding, so you try to ignore his big and toned torso. you swallow hard when you see the blood dripping down on the ground.
“what the hell, ghost.” you mumble in a certain despair, opening his door as a way to try to help him. he’s looking at you like he missed your face, but he rather die than do vulnerable stuff that implies commitment, so he physically can’t handle your company right now. “i’ll take it from here.” ghost says, pushing you away from his door gently. “let me help you.” you say, touching his shoulder.
“i’ll talk to you later, okay? please.” he sounds in a rush, almost as if he’s afraid of you, as if he has to run away from you as soon as possible, making you nod defeatedly. ghost was going to kiss your forehead but then he remembered that you’re nothing but his casual fuck, so he settled for a kiss on your cheek before closing the door at your face.
(…)
he didn’t talk to you later that day, nor the next one. but he would obviously knock at your door at three in the morning when he can’t cum with his hand and need you to do the job. you almost throw up when you realize that this is so lieutenant ghost. “fuck off!” your scream echoes through the door, making him shush you immediately. you roll your eyes as you stop getting ready to sleep to open the goddamn door. unfortunately for you, ghost is wearing those stupid grey sweatpants and a white tight tee.
“are you trying to wake the whole base up?” he’s visibly mad but you don’t give a fuck. “yeah, got any problems with that?” you mock, holding the fuck out of the door, just in case he decides to come in without your permission. “my only problem right now is your behavior. what’s up with that?” ghost sighs impatiently as he grabs your arm and pushes the both of you inside. slick son of a bitch.
“and why the fuck are you half naked? it’s freezing cold.” he notices that you’re wearing nothing but your pink lingerie. it makes him hard, really. “because i just got out of the shower. i was getting ready to bed when you decided to piss me off.” you sigh, staring at him with crossed arms. ghost stares back at you, placing a hand on his heart for a few seconds just because. “uh huh, so…” oh my god, he literally couldn’t care less. he starts walking slowly towards you, hands on his waist.
ghost licks his lips, taking a deep breath. “i’m sorry about that night, i should’ve been more grateful. you took care of everything while i was gone, thank you.” his breathing is erratic, he must really hate apologizing. you like it, though — the way he’s struggling. his ego is huge, even for a big man like him. “it’s fine, ghost.” you answer in a tired tone. “thanks for being intentional this time.” you smile half heartedly as he nods. ghost swallows hard. being so close to you while you look this good should be a crime, specially when you’re not willing to give in.
“how’s your arm, by the way?” you break the silence, placing your hand on his massive arm gently. “feels like a brand new one.” he lies, grabbing your hand away from it, but he doesn’t let go of your touch. “it seems that it still hurts and it’s not healed yet.” you point out, raising an eyebrow at him. he literally has a bandage around his biceps. “does it matter?” ghost chuckles, just enjoying the feeling of your fingers intertwined with his. “it matters to me.” you simply say, looking into his lost eyes. “it shouldn’t.” before you could answer, he kisses you unexpectedly. it’s not desperate, it’s slow and sensual.
you know this is your lieutenant’s way of running away from feelings. because to him, feelings are temporary. “i’ve missed your body so much.” he mumbles against your lips as you try to ignore the word body. “i’d fuck my fist every night, thinking it was your mouth instead.” ghost announces and for some reason you don’t get mad, you get wet. “did you touch yourself in this pink set while i was gone?” he breathes next to your ear and you shiver when you feel his tongue on your neck, alongside with the cold wall hitting your back.
“careful with that answer, say yes and i’ll break you off.” he emphasizes, you can feel his smirk against your skin. he licks and sucks and you don’t have any choice but to close your eyes in pleasure. “no, never.” you lie in a low whimper. embarassing. “fucking liar.” ghost chuckles dryly, making you wetter than before. “i bet your fingers can’t even hit your spot, not after i’ve been inside you.” he leaves your neck to look into your eyes. “y-you’re right.” you say, already breathless.
“yeah?” he sounds so mean as he pulls you impossibly closer to his body so he can kiss you painfully slow again. “the thought of us fucking so good for the first time must’ve been useful for you.” ghost takes your bra off and you take his shirt off very carefully to not hurt his arm. “what was that about?” he laughs, mocking at your concern. “i’m worried, okay? leave me alone.” you roll your eyes as he holds back another laugh.
“should i fuck you against the wall to show how strong my arms are?” he jokes in a very serious way. “you can fuck me wherever, as long as you make me feel good.” you joke back, placing your hands on his chest. “so self centered.” he starts kissing your collarbone until his lips meet your nipples. you moan lowly with his ministrations. “let me suck you off to show how much i care for you as well.” you whisper as you push him away.
“you better not cum while doing it.” he looks at you, grabbing your neck as a reminder. the fact that you came just by sucking him the last time the two of you had sex is insane, you’re still ashamed by that. “it’s just that… you look so good in my mouth.” you admit it out loud and ghost loses it. “you’re so honest when you’re horny, baby. i’ll get you a sore throat as a reward, how’s that sound?” you hate that you don’t hate his sense of humour at all.
you kneel. he spreads his pre cum on your soft lips. you open your mouth. he grabs your jaw and you stick your tongue out. he spits in it and tell you to fucking swallow because your throat must be so dry due to how excited you are to suck him off. after that, you just do things automatically. you’re so in your head, picturing him and the challenge of making him feel good, that you don’t really care about anything else. it’s like your mind goes blank of how much you’re his to use. and you’re okay with that.
you’re so okay that you choke on his cock just because, you let his hand guide your head just because, you let him hit the back of your throat multiple times again just because. you keep going because he said so and you know he’s so fucking close due to how rough he’s being with you. how out of breath he sounds. how his groans break into low moans. how he’s throbbing so deliciously. “i’m gonna cum and you’re not gonna swallow.” you almost cry at his announcement, since you swallowed it before and it’s surprisingly sweet. his healthy diet and his addiction to fruits is no joke.
so you swallow it anyway. ghost smirks then slaps your face. at this point, you’re so turned on that you liked the sting. “greedy fucking slut.” you stand up, finally. he kisses you passionately. his taste on your tongue isn’t bad, but he prefers yours. it’s a shame he can’t eat you out this time or else he’ll cum just by doing it. “take your panties off, ‘gonna fuck you now.” you nod, lost in his demanding panting voice. “here, though? your arm…” you protest, now fully naked.
“my arm is fine.” he sounds done with you. “you’re giving yourself too much credit, have you ever looked in the mirror? you’re tiny.” he mocks your body proportions while holding back a smile. well, he’s right. you’re very small compared to him, but aren’t everyone? he’s big. in all ways.
“that’s on you, you’re huge.” you smirk as you look down on him. you finally give in, too needy to wait any longer, it feels like you’ve been edged in this room for hours. “and you take it everytime.” ghost breathes with a proud smile, more proud of himself than of you. his tip teases your entrance and you swallow hard, excitement consuming you. “breathe, angel. does my cock make you this eager? i knew you wouldn’t want anyone else after you had me.” he slides in just a little and you hold back a moan.
“why are you still talking?” you breathe, inches away from his lips. his eyes never leave yours and you’re fighting the urge to cry from how much you want him. “i like to see you on the edge.” ghost finally grabs your thighs so you can wrap them around his waist. “maybe if you beg a little more, i can give it to you.” he kisses your temple, enjoying the way you’re struggling to stay still. “jesus fucking christ, just f…” his unexpected hard thrust cuts you off, making you moan out loud. ghost laughs, kissing your neck.
he gives your nipples attention and it only drives you closer to your orgasm. “mmm, i don’t even have to try, i can just slide in.” you hate his mocking tone, so you tell him to go harder because you’re not even feeling it. “that’s crazy, i can literally feel your cervix.” he chuckles and it makes you mad that his out of breath laugh is such a turn on for you. truth is, you can feel him in your cervix too. “you can’t make me mad with your bullshit, baby. not when i can feel you dripping down on me like this. you never fail to amaze me, fuck.” he groans as he goes faster.
you’re so lost in the feeling of his cock hitting all of your right spots that you can’t even say a word to him. you’re just a sweaty moaning mess at this point. ghost feels your warm walls clench around him as you grab his biceps in a tight grip, not even realizing that your fingers are hurting his unhealead wound. he whimpers lowly, more in pain than in pleasure. but you’re so close that you don’t even realize it, so your orgasm hits you like a giant wave.
“i-i’m sorry.” you don’t really know what you’re apologizing for, but it doesn’t matter, because he keeps fucking you to chase his own high and your mind goes blank. “w-wait! fuck, slow down.” you cry out, too overstimulated to keep going. “you can do it, make me proud.” he mumbles out of breath, talking you through it, but his grip on the back of your thighs isn’t firm anymore and you’re starting to suspect that ghost’s sore arm is aching due to the effort he wasn’t supposed to be doing yet.
“do you want another one? i’ll give it to you.” ghost kisses you messily, not quite thinking straight. “i-i can’t, i can’t.” you say almost in a desperate tone. “but you will.” he whispers against your lips, now leaving you empty to walk to your bed. he lays you down and you widen your eyes when you see his previously white bandage covered in blood. “you’re bleeding.” you sound concerned as you touch him carefully, but ghost is almost exploding due to how bad he wants to fucking cum, so he couldn’t care less about his arm.
“no shit.” he mocks, tilting his head. ghost sighs, you look so beautiful like this, under him, cheeks flushed, too fucked out. he kisses you gently. “get on all fours before i lose my fucking mind.” you do as you’re told until you’re cumming again for the third time this night. your legs are giving up, but the hands that pull your hair in a ponytail and rub your clit while taking you from behind would never let you fall. “c’mon, sweetheart, fuck me back.” he sounds defeated, but you know he’s close. ghost is being so rough now that your eyes are filled with tears. his groans keep you going, though.
you moan a little too loud when he hits your secret spot for the thousandth time. he grabs your neck, lips ghosting around your ear. “shhh…” ghost places a kiss on your shoulder and you mumble a strangled “sorry.” he throbs inside you and for a moment of consciousness you’re afraid of getting pregnant. you both know that you got an IUD, but still. the two of you have been fucking around too much to not be scared of accidentally having a baby.
as if he’s reading your mind… he pulls out. you feel his warm ropes running down your back as you feel another orgasm consuming your whole body. as you both settle down, you lay back in your bed, too tired to care about his cum on your skin. he does the same, laying beside you. “goddamn, you fucked me up.” he breaks the silence, his breathing becoming more normal now, even though his arm’s still aching.
“oh, shouldn’t i be the one saying that?” you both chuckle, staring at the roof. “you fucked me so good that i almost said i love you, though.” you add, joking, but not really. ghost immediately looks at you, as if you said a prohibited word. he holds back a smirk. “you think you’re funny, huh?” you look at him with a smile that makes him weak, and he hates it.
ghost’s hand is on your waist as he sighs tiredly. “i should go, my arm’s about to fall out. thanks, y/n.” he mocks, slapping your ass. he gives you a quick kiss that lasts long enough to make you head over heels for him before getting out of your bed. “i thought you were my big and strong lieutenant, what happened?” you mock back, making him shake his head with a smile.
“you happened.” ghost answers as if it was obvious. he’s putting his clothes back on and you just admire the heavenly sight. he takes a deep breath, opening the door. the man is clearly falling apart and you almost feel bad for him. he looks at you. “night, dumbass.” ghost winks playfully, leaving you alone.

Gluestick
“And I shall name him Gluestick,” Skizz announced proudly as he took his new horse by the reigns. The animal didn’t seem to care much for the name, he just wanted the carrots Skizz had pocketed a few moments ago.
“… why?” Impulse just asked with a puzzled look on his face. “Your first horse on the Server could be named anything and you name it Gluestick?”
“You heard me correctly,” Skizz proudly said, patting his new animal friend on the neck. “And he shall be the loveliest of horses to have ever existed.”
“Sounds like a horse that’s slow,” Grian noted, who had also decided to come along for whatever reason. Maybe he had finally have enough of his fishing endeavors. Maybe he wanted to make fun of Skizz, who knew. “Like it’s glued to the ground or something.”
“Don’t say that about dear Gluestick,” Skizz said, jumping in to defend his horse. “He’s very sensitive.”
“You’ve had him for ten seconds!”
“And those have been the best ten seconds of my life I’ll have you know,” Skizz said, sticking to the bit. He wasn’t going to let his friends talk him into renaming his horse already. Sure, he could’ve named him something conventional like Thunder or Racey McFast but this was way more fun. This was a name that would… well, stick with people. The Hermits would know this was his horse, not just some animal named and abandoned in the wilderness.
“I – never mind, I’m going to stop arguing,” Grian said, giving in and pulling his fishing rod from his inventory. His own horse, Pluto, had been impatiently waiting and tied to a fence. Seeing his owner pull out the rod made him think they were about to move again and he pulled on his restrains.
“Calm down Pluto,” Grian muttered. “Yes, we’re going back. No, I won’t try giving you fish again. Gluestick is going to be your new neighbor, get used to it.”
Grian hopped smoothly on his horse after setting it free from the fence. Pluto was a fast one, Skizz had seen Grian ride around on it plenty. He crossed another Hermit on a horse, who was happy to join Impulse and Skizz.
“A new friend!” it had been Bdubs on his own horse. Climb 10 was, as far as Skizz was aware, the fastest amongst all the horses they had tamed. Skizz didn’t expect anything less from Bdubs, honestly. “You’ve found your steed, Skizz. What did you name them?”
“Gluestick,” Skizz answered proudly. Impulse sighed, resting his head in his hand. Bdubs eyes started to shine, just like the big smile that appeared on his face.
“A worthy name!” he exclaimed. “Strong, recognizable, everything a noble steed deserves! Oh come here, buddy, have you found a new home? Serve my friend well, alright, don’t go slow on him!”
“I’m surrounded by idiots,” Impulse muttered into his hand, which Skizz thought was a given at this moment.
“He looks fast, Skizz,” Bdubs had already walked to the side of Gluestick and started to scratch his but. Gluestick seemed to like it, stretching out his neck to make a funny face by lifting his lips. Skizz laughed, as he had never seen a horse do that. “His coat glows, his tail is nice and full and – wait, are those shingles?”

The Fix - Part 3
Summary: Everyone has a past, but yours seemed to haunt you. You've tried to move forward with a normal life, but the day comes when that's not possible anymore. When Sheriff Beau Arlen enters your life, you're certain he is going to judge you just like everyone else in town does. But something about Beau is different.
Warnings: Child abduction, mentions of domestic violence, slight language (maybe? I feel like maybe not in this chapter, but honestly it's me, so there may be one or two slipped in there. Adding it here to cover myself lol)
Word Count: ~2.5k
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There were multiple deputies coming and going from your home. Mo seemed to be the constant—he was the only one who actually came inside. He wanted to make sure you had water and he tried to get you to eat (tried being the key word). But you were glued to the television. The search had begun, but they weren’t showing much. You had only seen Beau once on your screen, but you assumed they were trying to be inconspicuous with where they searched, just in case Jackson was watching.
Matt, the FBI agent, had stopped by. You assured him you didn’t know anything about the press conference or the search. The anger you felt around Beau ditching you had mostly diminished. But now it was replaced by anxiety, fear and this deep despair that you couldn't fix.
Mo had been gracious enough to close Bailey’s bedroom door when he spotted you staring from the doorway with tears falling down your face.
“She’s probably cold and tired,” you muttered as he approached.
“It’s going to be okay, ma’am. We’re going to find her,” his words were meant to be comforting, but you knew he couldn’t make you any promises. So now you waited, because you didn’t know what else to do.
Tumblr media
It had been hours. You had practically paced foot trails in your hardwood as you walked. But you heard the sound of tires against the gravel and you darted to the front porch. Mo had stopped you long enough for Beau to open the driver’s door and step out onto the gravel. But after that, you wiggled out of his grasp and headed straight for the Sheriff.
Your feet carried you quickly through the trail of the headlights until you reached him. Instinctively, your hands reached out to grasp at his jacket lapels. “Have you found anything?” Your words were rushed and your heart thumped heavy in your chest.
Beau’s hands gently gripped your shoulders and you watched as he carefully chose his words. “Not yet. Let’s get inside, okay?”
Your knees buckled at his words. As you wanted to move, you struggled and Beau could see that. With one hand on your lower back, he led you past the deputies and into the house. Even though the kitchen was warm, your body shuddered.
“There’s nothing you can tell me? No signs of them? Do you have any leads?” You turned towards the tall man and saw that same sympathetic look across his face. “And for the love of God, can you please wipe that sad look off your face?! I’m so sick of everyone in this damn town feeling sorry for me.”
Beau nodded and averted his gaze. “I get it,” he leaned back against your countertop and folded his arms across his chest. “Listen, when I came in as interim Sheriff, this town wasn’t too sure of me. Hell, if I remember correctly, you weren’t too sure of me, either,” he eyed you with his brows raised. You didn’t even realize that he hadn’t addressed any of your questions. Your brain felt like you were running on fumes. “I know what it’s like to have people talkin’ and lookin’. Maybe not for the same reasons, but I still understand.”
You bit at the inside of your lip and begged the tears to stop flooding your eyes. You were sick of crying. “I know they can’t understand why I didn’t leave him sooner,” you mumbled as your eyes stared at the hardwood below your house shoes.
“That’s not anybody’s business but your own,” Beau spoke firmly. “You don’t owe anyone anything, you hear me?” You nodded and wiped angrily at your face. “Now, I already know you’re gonna fight me on this…but I need you to try to get some sleep.”
Your head shot upward and you stared at him like he had two heads. “Yeah, right,” you huffed. “First of all, it’s like 9:30…I don’t go to bed this early on a normal night. Secondly, there’s no way in hell I could sleep right now even if I wanted to.”
Beau stared at you blankly for a moment before he glanced at the clock in your microwave. “Darlin’, it’s after midnight.” Your eyes followed his gaze where the little green numbers clearly read 12:01. You didn’t have a clue how that was remotely possible. “And I know it’s not easy, but you bein’ sleep deprived isn’t gonna do us any favors.”
“Beau…” you started with a look across your face that said you couldn’t do it.
“I’m gonna be here, I’ll keep an eye on the place and an ear out to make sure there aren’t any leads,” his words reassured you. Beau seemed to understand you would never ask him to stay in the first place. “I know you don’t feel like you can trust me,” his gaze stayed on you to try to prove his words. “But I promise you, I’m handlin’ Bailey as I would my own daughter. We’ve enlisted other departments and law enforcement outside of Big Sky. We’re gonna get your girl back. I just need you to be in the right frame of mind when we do.”
“I don’t even feel tired, Beau,” it was a partial truth. Adrenaline had been coursing through you for hours now. But your body felt the weight of the exhaustion.
“Well, let me make you a hot cup of tea and we can at least sit on the couch and chat for a bit,” he tried to reason. “How’s that sound?”
You contemplated for a moment. “Fair enough,” you knew you weren’t going to win this fight.
Beau made his way around your kitchen. You redirected him to an electric hot water kettle and then to the tea bags and mugs. You busied yourself with finding the honey in the pantry before settling on a stool as he waited on the hot water.
“So,” he glanced over his shoulder at you as he prepared a chamomile tea bag in a mug for you. “Tell me, have you always lived in Big Sky?” Most people had been born and raised in this town.
“No,” you sighed. “I’m from Pittsburgh. I came out to Big Sky for a backpacking trip with some girlfriends about seven years ago.” You had assumed everyone in this town knew your story, but you had to remind yourself Beau wasn’t from this town, either.
“Ah, fell in love with the mountains?” He asked nonchalantly.
There was a pause before you continued. “Or fell in love with a person I thought I could fix.”
“That’ll do it,” Beau replied as the kettle flipped off once it was done boiling the water. He pulled it from the hot plate and poured some water over the tea bag. “I don’t mean to look at you like I feel bad for you,” he said gently as he fixated on the cup of tea. When you didn’t say anything, he realized you weren’t following. “Earlier, when you said you were tired of the way everyone in this town was lookin’ at you. I just wanted to say I didn’t mean to look at you any kinda way.”
He walked with the mug over where you sat on the bar stool and placed it in front of you. “Oh,” you breathed, not really sure what to say in response.
“I guess for me it’s easy to see that you’re a good person,” he held your gaze with his eyes. For a moment, you got lost in the mossy hues and speckles of gold and brown. “I see a lotta people get mixed up with the wrong ones. You didn’t deserve that.”
His words were simple, but they hit you harder than you had anticipated. You had blamed yourself for a lot of things that happened over the last few years. The warning signs you had avoided, or the red flags you had written off.
“I’ll never regret what I went through,” you said softly. “Because if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t have Bailey.” Her name brought a blur over your eyes once more.
“And that’s what makes you a good mother,” he said. “We make sacrifices for our kids, and they’re sacrifices people might not understand. But they don’t have to. I meant it when I said you don’t owe anyone any sorta explanation.”
“I do feel like I owe you somewhat of an explanation. You’re here because of me in the middle of the night when you could be at home sleeping right now,” you felt comfortable talking to Beau, though you still weren’t ready to admit it entirely. There was something about the way he had jumped into action when he heard how distraught you were on the phone, and how he blatantly disregarded the FBI’s request to stay in his own lane when it came to this case.
“Sleep and I aren’t friends these days anyway, darlin’,” he chuckled. “You can’t really value sleep when you become the Sheriff.” You nodded and glanced down at your mug. “If you wanna talk about it, I’m all ears. But just know you don’t have to.”
A sigh escaped your lips, but for the first time since you realized Bailey was missing, a small smile tugged at the corners. “Let’s go to the living room. It’s comfier.” You slipped off of the stool and grabbed your mug before you led the way to the couch nestled against a wall in the next room.
Beau took a seat next to you but left enough room between you so it wouldn’t be uncomfortable. You set your mug down on the end table before you continued.
“My ex, Jackson,” you began. “I knew he was broken when we met…I just didn’t realize how broken.” Your eyes didn’t meet Beau’s, but you knew he was listening. “But I couldn’t walk away. My mama always said I would take in a hundred stray cats, if I could, just so I could fix them up and take care of them.” You picked at the skin around one of your fingernails as a distraction. “Too bad I didn’t just adopt a cat, right?” You managed a chuckle.
Beau looked sympathetic again, and it made you want to groan. His silence urged you to continue.
“So, we moved faster than we should’ve…my family hated Jackson. They never trusted him, rightfully so,” you explained. “But we got married anyway. At that point, I knew he had struggled with addiction in the past, but I wasn’t going to let it stop me from loving him. I just didn’t know he was dealing and getting mixed up with the big drug bosses on the side…” this was the point in the story where you always started to feel really stupid, for lack of a better word. Your fingers continued to wreak havoc on your cuticles, a nervous habit.
From the other side of the couch, you felt Beau’s calloused palm fall on top of your hands. His movement halted the picking and pulling your fingers were doing around your nail. You raised your head to look at him.
“Sometimes we have blinders on...but love always has a way to make us see what we wanna see,” his voice was low.
“But it wasn’t love, Beau. It was never love,” you shook your head and repeated the words you had practiced with your therapist in so many sessions before. “The only love that ever came out of that relationship was Bailey… I was thankful for her for so many reasons.” Your gaze shifted again, because this was your least favorite part of your story. “He didn’t start hitting me until well after we were married…but he stopped once I got pregnant. I thought it had changed–he had changed. I thought that was the end. But as soon as she was born, it started up again.”
“Hey,” Beau’s voice was firm and it forced you to look at him again. “That isn’t your fault. You hear me?” His eyes were dark, almost and his brows knitted together.
“It’s hard to recognize that sometimes,” you answered honestly.
“Well, you just lemme know when you’re being down on yourself and I’ll remind you,” his words kind of surprised you. You didn’t know Beau. And though he knew parts about your life, he didn’t really know you, either.
“Why are you being so nice to me?” You asked, your voice just barely above a whisper.
He hesitated only for a moment before he answered. “Bein’ a Sheriff gives me really good intuition when it comes to people,” he started. “And I can tell, you’re good people.” This time, you reached for his hand and gave it a squeeze. You saw a look you couldn’t quite place mirror in his eyes. “Besides, I know what it’s like to be the outcast. Everybody’s just waitin’ for you to fail.”
Your brows pulled together at what he had said. “This town loves you, Beau. I know people are a little unsure at first. People who are from here don’t really know anything else. The big, bad Sheriff from Texas was hard to accept at first.”
A soft chuckle left his lips as he seemed to study you. “Oh, yeah? Was that why you didn’t trust me? Big, bad Sheriff from Texas, an’ all,” his grin made a dimple hollow out underneath his stubble on his cheek. You hadn’t noticed that before.
“I didn’t not trust you,” it was a fib, but you felt bad now that he had called it out.
“Ha!” He couldn’t help the louder laugh. “Yeah, okay.” He said sarcastically. “The first time I showed up over here, your demeanor was colder than frickin’ ice.”
Heat rose in your cheeks as you recalled the first time you had met Beau. “Sorry,” you felt bad about how you treated him the first time you had met months ago. “Law enforcement was always showing up here. I felt like a suspect, when I was the victim. Nobody believed that I would leave Jackson, so when they were looking for him, the whole town assumed the battered wife took him back. I felt…degraded. Worthless, just about.”
Beau softened at your words. “Hey, in all seriousness, I don’t blame you. Didn’t blame ya then, definitely don’t now.”
“Thanks for that,” you smiled at him. He matched yours, and you felt that same flutter in your chest.
He nodded once, then cleared his throat. “I really need ya to try to get some sleep,” he eyed you with raised brows. “It’s late, and tomorrow’s gonna be a long day.”
A sigh fell from your lips but you nodded. “Okay,” you stood from your place on the couch and reached for your mug of tea. “I’ll try. No promises, though.”
“Give it a fair shot and I’ll be happy,” he smiled as he stood while you left the room.
“Night, Beau,” you glanced back at him over your shoulder. In the moment, you felt like you could get used to seeing him in your living room.
“Night, darlin’,” he crooned. As you padded to your bedroom at the end of the hallway, you felt exhaustion wash over you. You felt safe for the first time in a long time.
All of that would change just a few short hours later when you awoke to gunshots.

I'm so sorry--I NEVER do cliffhangers...please don't hate me, lol. To be fair, I'm going to include a preview of the next chapter below that will hopefully hold you over until Saturday! I'm just barely getting this out (this has been written for a while but I did a quick read through to edit--my family has had the freaking stomach virus since Saturday so I'm STRUGGLING over here today, so I probably missed some errors, apologies in advance). Thank you for all of the feedback, likes and shares! I appreciate you all <3
Side note: If I'm a reader on something you're writing and I haven't sent feedback in the last 5/6 days, it's coming, I promise! I'm hoping to get caught up on my Tumblr reads this evening after my kiddo is in bed.
New installments posted on Wednesdays and Saturdays!
A preview of the next chapter to hold you over:
Pop, pop, pop.
The sound was nauseating and caused you to bolt upright in your bed. You were disoriented and confused—you didn’t even remember falling asleep.
Beau’s voice was muffled through your closed bedroom door. “Jackson, drop the gun!” He demanded with a tone you hadn’t heard him use before. “Nobody else needs to get hurt.” He said firmly.
Nobody else? Your heart was in your throat. Bailey.
You pulled on the metal doorknob and swung it open so hard that it bounced against the wall. It was so loud that it caused Beau to flinch slightly, but as you stepped into the hall you realized his focus was fixated on someone in your kitchen, his gun drawn and aimed in that direction.
“Darlin’, I’m gonna need you to stay put,” Beau’s tone had shifted slightly—it was more gentle—but his gaze remained locked on the person in your kitchen.

The Ugly Truth
Despite wishing her mother good night thirty minutes ago, Nancy’s eyes refuse to shut. Whenever she starts to drift off, she sees Barb crawling out from underground to blame her for what happened that night. Nancy would argue her case, but there’s no defense. She failed her friend. Barb hadn’t even wanted to go along in the first place!
I’m going insane just lying here. Maybe some warm milk will calm me down.
She passes the bathroom on the way to the stairs. Mom’s not in the tub? I didn’t hear the water go off. Huh.
The front door is open, and there’s the boy from Tina’s party who came speeding into Hawkins High School’s parking lot with his car radio on full blast. The boy Steve keeps staring at like a stunned fish. She’s shit with remembering names. Ben… something?
Curiosity gets the better of her. She stays very still on the second step, ears and eyes peeled.
Mom answered the door in her bathrobe? Nancy shifts her attention to Ben- no Billy, his name’s Billy. He seems… tense. Fidgety.
“I’m Nancy’s mother.”
“No.”
For some reason, Billy saying that in a clearly sarcastic tone makes her mother twirl her hair and giggle, “Yes” like a schoolgirl with a crush.
You’ve never acted this way with Dad.
“Mrs. Wheeler.”
“Um, I’m sorry, and you are?”
“Billy. Billy Hargrove.” He extends a hand for her to shake, and when she does, he puts his other hand over hers.
What the fuck is happening? Why aren’t you pulling away?
“You must be here for Nancy.”
“Nancy? No, no, no.”
One no would’ve done the trick.
“Not my type.”
Nancy snorts into her hand.
“Uh… No, actually I am looking for my little sister Max. Goes by Maxine. She’s been missing all day, and, uh, to be honest with you, I’ve been worried sick, you know, so…”
“Oh.”
You sound almost… disappointed. Why would you be, unless… No. Surely not.
“I thought she was at Lucas’, but Mrs. Sinclair said your house is the…the designated hangout, so, you know… Here I am.”
This has got to be the worst pretend pickup line I’ve ever heard. He’s got no interest in you, Mom. You know that, don’t you?
Billy comes in, and if he notices Nancy lurking at the top of the stairs as he goes into the kitchen, he doesn’t say anything.
“Their driveway is pretty dark this time of night,” Mom says, scribbling down an address for him. “So drive slowly.”
“Always.” He pockets the address and takes an extra bitter oatmeal cookie for the road.
Under the kitchen light, her mother dies, and all she sees is Karen Wheeler biting her bottom lip as she watches him walk away, her eyes glued to his ass.
Nancy doesn’t remember when her gun appeared in her hands, but her brain is surprisingly clear when she pulls the trigger. A bullet goes right between Karen’s eyes.
Killing people is surprisingly easy when you see who they really are.
Billy lies flat on the floor, hands cupped over his ears.
“I’m not going to shoot you.”
“You killed… your mother. God, Hicktown is fuckin’ crazy!”
Boy, he really catches on quick.
“You don’t know the half of it.” Nancy steps over Karen’s body and dials the number of Hopper’s secretary. She’s more likely to pick up than the Chief himself. “Hi, this is Nancy Wheeler. I need to talk to Chief Hopper. It’s important.”
She hears a grunt, and prepares the crocodile tears. Billy stares at her with a mix of awe and horror as her lower lip begins to tremble. “My mother st-started acting really strange. She turned the air conditioner down because she “liked it cold”. She-she loved the house being warm. Her voice came out all-all deep and empty. I looked into her eyes, and I knew my mother wasn’t…” she takes a shaky breath for added effect, then continues, “I knew she was gone. So I… I shot her. I don’t want to go to jail! I’m so scared, Chief.”
“You did the right thing, calling me. I’ll stop by your house and take care of things, okay? Do you have anywhere else to go tonight?”
“I’m not sure. I-”
Billy’s not on the floor anymore. His headlights are on. Crap.
I need to make sure he knows not to say anything.
Nancy gets into the passenger seat and he sends her a dirty look.
“You should really start locking your doors. It’s a safety precaution.”
“... I will keep that in mind. Now get out of my car.”
“You said you were looking for your sister, right?”
“She’s not my sister.”
“But you said-” “I know what I said. Look, I’d prefer to forget everything said and done in your freakshow house, Wheeler.”
“Nancy.”
“Fine. Nancy.”
“I know where Max is.”
“I’m not giving you shit in exchange for that information.”
“Well I should hope not.” Has this sort of thing happened to him before?
“I know how to keep a secret. I just… why did you do it?”
“We were always arguing. She never heard me. What pushed me over the edge was how she was with you. It made me want to puke. She should’ve stuck to her own age group.”
Billy goes eerily quiet, hands gripping his steering wheel until his knuckles turn white. His shoulders slacken, and he unclenches his jaw to offer her a weary, appreciative smile.
“Max is at the Byers’ house. Mike’s there, too. I can’t take him back to that house. He didn’t know… I don’t suppose you have room where you live?” Billy tenses up again.
She takes that as a no.”
“I’ll be your guide to the Byers’. I’m sure Mrs. Byers wouldn’t mind us staying over.”
He gives her a terse nod.
“Us includes you, Bonnie.”
Billy blinks several times, temporarily breaking out of his grim state. “Bonnie? Hold on, why the fuck am I not Clyde? Clyde’s a man.”
Nancy lets out a long sigh. “Do you actually care about that crap?”
“... No. I don’t,” he admits. “Bonnie has better hair anyway, so it fits.”
“You think you’re funny, huh.”
“I think I’m a fucking riot.”
“Humor is subjective.”
“It was your joke!”
****** “Am I dreaming, or is that you, Harrington?”
“Yeah, it’s me. Don’t cream your pants.”
Okay, now I wish I’d shot myself instead.
“Nancy???” Steve exclaims, dragging his eyes away from Billy’s chest.
So that’s why Billy took his jacket off.
She snickers, shaking her head. Steve Alexander Harrington, you haven’t changed one bit.
Billy seems to be glowing from Steve’s attention. Dorks.
“What’re you doing here, amigo?”
“Yeah, I could ask you the same thing, amigo.”
Oh, Steve, you’re not fooling anyone.
“Looking for my stepsister. A little birdie told me she was here.”
Nancy awkwardly waves. I doubt they’re even aware I exist.
“Huh. That’s weird. I don’t know her.”
“Small, redhead, bit of a bitch?”
“I heard that!” a girl yells from inside the house.
“I wanted you to!”
“You guys are going to wake up the whole neighborhood!” Nancy yells.
“I think we’re a little quieter than a gu- guy who’s bangin’ his wife.”
“Are you two… friends or something?” Steve says, squinting like he’s come face to face with an impossible math problem.
“Amigos in crime.”
“You didn’t tell him any embarrassing stories about me, did you? Nance?”
“Stories? What stories?”
“It’s a school night. We should all head inside and get some rest.”
“Nance!”
“Shut up, Steve.”
“Yeah, shut up, Pretty Boy.”
“Keep the flirting to a minimum, there are children present.”
Steve’s jaw drops. “WHAT? FLIRTING?”
Billy cackles, slapping his knee, his face matching the color of his shirt.
New hobby unlocked.
*****
“Does Mrs. Byers have any grub around here? I’m gonna check the fridge.”
“Billy, I wouldn’t do that if I were you-"
“WHAT THE FUCK-”

You didn’t like what you were feeling coming from the Corinthian, which is why you had decided to stay glued to his side for the next hour. Whatever he had planned for this convention, you knew that it was not going to be good. While walking to the auditorium, you stole a glance from him once more.
“What do you want from all this?” You asked him while he turned down a hall, and you fell in step with him. “What do you get from having Rose destroy the Dreaming? You’re destroying your home, our home.”
The Corinthian chuckled at glanced down at you with raised eyebrows, you stared up into his covered mouths with a petulant gaze. His lips curved at the corner.
“Come now, Y/N, do you really think Dream cares about anyone other than himself?” The Corinthian replied, coming to a stop and facing you. “I was created as a black mirror to reflect humanity’s darkest desires and dreams that they’re too cowardly and afraid to confront. I’m telling them that it’s okay to indulge in those desires, no matter how dark.”
“People can’t just go on killing sprees, Corinthian.” You reminded him. “We need boundaries to keep order.”
“Boundaries are the very thing that stifles people in submission, in both the sleeping and waking words. Boundaries are what confined me and now they don’t. I’m not gonna give that freedom up, would you?” He covered it well, but you could feel the pain that was seeping from his heart. Like a child who only lashed out because their parents didn’t give them the attention they wanted. It was sad that it had come to the Corinthian killing humans to try and rebuild this world in an image that he felt like he belonged to.
“Boundaries, are what keep people safe,” You said evenly, your head tilting to the side as your face softened. “What you are doing… it’s not safe and it isn’t your purpose.”
“Then what is my purpose, your majesty?” He questioned, both his tone and emotions were telling you that you were working him up with anger. How long had it been since he was scolded? Well, over a hundred years at the very least. “I’m a Nightmare, this is what I do, it is my purpose.”
“Your purpose isn’t to kill, Corinthian,” You reminded him. “You said it yourself, you are mirroring humanity’s desires and dreams. You can’t do that by killing them.” He didn’t respond but tipped closer, and looked down at you over his sunglasses so you could see his eye mouths. Your faces were only mere inches apart.
“We’ll agree to disagree on that then, your majesty,” The Corinthian said softly, if he had human eyes, you would surely have seen disappointment in them. You could feel it, he was disappointed that you weren’t siding with him, but he still held hope that he could convince you to join him. You dropped your gaze and looked at your hands which were twisted together. “You don’t have to stay with him, Y/N, I know how hurtful he can be to his lovers.”
“We’re not—“ You started protesting. You stopped, pausing mid-sentence. You looked back up at him with pursed lips trying to hide the shiver of hurt. “I don’t know what we are, Corinthian, but we are not lovers. Lovers don’t treat each other like how we do. I’m not even sure we’ll ever break ground regarding our differences.”
“My offer will always remain open to you, not everyone in the Dreaming is going to push you back to him,” He gently told you, the emotions coming from him nearly caused a tremble to run up your spine. He wanted you, but not just on his team. His desire for freedom was strong and here you were, entirely capable of making that happen. The Corinthian reached up and brushed your chin with his thumb. “You really are too good for him. He doesn’t even see what he has and probably won’t ever.”
He was no longer trying to manipulate you, you could tell that much, and it physically made your heart ache knowing that this arcana, one of Morpheus’s favorites, felt like this. The tense bubble between you was broken when a woman appeared, her heels clicking on the linoleum floor.
“We are ready for you if you are,” She stated, eying the rather close proximity of your bodies and faces. You took a healthy step back from the Corinthian and watched as he plastered a charming smile on his face and pushed his round sunglasses up to make sure that his extra mouths were covered.
“I most certainly am,” The Corinthian said, his smile going wider. As he walked for the package of the auditorium, he glanced over his shoulder at you. “Remember, Y/N, my offer will always be open to you.”
You stood frozen in place as he and the woman disappeared.
Was everyone going to try and manipulate you into switching to their side? Because it certainly felt like it at the moment. You licked your dry lips and turned in place, heading for the hotel restaurant to get something to drink. Boosting yourself up into a seat at the bar, you ordered ice water and gulped half of it before setting it down. Did you have no one to go to speak freely? Because you were feeling like the favorite toy everyone was fighting over. Staring into your glass, you felt the Corinthian draw those in the auditorium into a dream state. Then a spark of lighting burst up your spine making you let out a gasp and hunch over in your seat. Morpheus had arrived. You started trembling in your seat, trying to fight the strong urge to go straight to his side.
An excruciating sharp pain erupted in your right hand. Further hunching over in your seat, you bit down on the yelp of pain that crawled up your throat and cradled your throbbing hand. Blood dripped to the bar top from the long wound in your palm. It was the exact shape a stab wound from the Corinthian’s knife would have left. Morpheus, what are you doing? You felt the strong pull of the Dream that Rose no doubt had dragged everyone into upon falling asleep. You leaped into the Dream that Rose had created. All around you were the separate fantasies and dreams of the serial killers, they were reenacting their dreams, death, blood, gore, and all. You had but one thought: please tell me that little Jed wasn’t running around in this mess. You started running from dream to dream, heading towards the beacon that was Rose.
You passed The Good Doctor, cutting into a man on an operating table. Another was sewing skins together, the next room was a man hacking away at body parts with a butcher's knife. The dream rippled around you and coming to a stop, you tapped into its essence to feel Rose manipulating it. She very quickly threw the walls she had brought down, back up. You jerked in your seat, still grasping your bleeding palm. The bartender had come over and was holding out a clean rag for you to take while his eyes were wide in panic. But you didn’t, your mind was too focused on the Corinthian and Morpheus. You had to stop this before Morpheus got himself killed. Sand swirled around you and you teleported out of the restaurant. You reappeared standing between Morpheus and the Corinthian. The Corinthian had taken his sunglasses off. Standing there, you saw him look down at your right hand which was still dripping with blood. The muscle beneath his eye twitched, knowing that by hurting Morpheus, he would also hurt you.
“Enough of this, Corinthian.” You spoke out sharply, like a mother scolding an unruly child. “You are acting like a spoiled child demanding attention and affection from his parents.”
“A spoiled child?” The Corinthian chuckled. “Y/N you know firsthand what I am feeling.” He brandished his knife again and a ripple of his power emerged like a shield. “I’m not gonna stop.” A sandstorm picked up around you, swirling in a vicious tornado of emotion, Corinthian’s emotions. His emotions needed to be reigned in before he lashed out and caused you and Morpheus, and the waking world, any more damage. You pushed forwards against the winds and sand until you stood in front of him. Then you reached up and took his face in hand. Blood ran down your wrist.
“Corinthian, you don’t need to do this,” You told him, your fingers brushing gently against his cheek. “We can work this out without causing irreparable destruction.”
“Yeah, I do,” He replied and the sandstorm grew in strength. Behind you, you could feel Morpheus trying to fight his way forwards, without a doubt not pleased with your proximity to the Corinthian. Certainly not after seeing the slowly healing wound on your palm that matched his. It was still dripping with blood. “And you’re not gonna change my mind, Y/N.” Your mind quickly scrambled to come up with a way to end this, because he wasn’t going to listen. If Morpheus had an opportunity, he could end this, you just had to give him one. You decided to use the Corinthian’s desires and wants against himself.
Stretching up on your toes, you pulled his head down with your hands and pressed your lips against his. The effect of you kissing the Corinthian had its desired reaction, the sand storm started to die back. By the time you could feel him returning your kiss the auditorium settled back into its regular state. Pulling away, you stared into the Corinthian’s mouths for a few moments before finding yourself sharply pulled back and spun around by a hand on your waist. Oh right, Morpheus did not like it when you kissed others and you had straight up just kissed his favorite creation right in front of him. The rage he had to be feeling right now… You found your feet scrambling to keep up with Morpheus’s manhandling and when you steadied yourself, you were behind him, sheltered from the Corinthian.
“If you think I'm going back to the Dreaming with you—“ The Corinthian started, fixing his mouths on Morpheus.
“You're not going back,” Morpheus spoke, his voice eerily calm for the raging emotions you felt within him. “I brought you into this world to serve humanity. Not to feed upon it.”
“Do you know why I do it?” The Corinthian questioned back, his own emotions wavering. “So I can taste what it's like to be human. And you don't care about humanity. You only care about yourself and your realm and your rules.”
“I contain the entire collective unconscious. Without my rules, it would consume me. Humanity would be consumed.” Before seeing what the fates had shown you, you might have rolled your eyes and deemed Morpheus simply taking a moment for dramatics. But now you knew that he was truthful in this.
“Or you might actually feel something.” The Corinthian threw back, you sucked in a breath, feeling those caustic words far more than hearing them. Then the arcana scoffed in disgust. “You managed to drive away the one person who will love you unconditionally.” You flinched where you stood and shrunk back, an action that did not go unnoticed by creation or creator. “Why would you do that? You think she is deserving to be treated like that? I am not the problem here, Dream.”
Stiffening in place, you brushed your thumb around the wound on your palm and did everything you could to not look at Morpheus. You weren’t even sure you wanted to hear his answer, knowing him well enough now. It was probably a stoic one, devoid of true emotion. His response was not one you expected.
“You're right. This was my fault.” Your jaw might have dropped open if you weren’t standing so stiffly in place. Morpheus was admitting that something was his fault? Were you hearing this correctly? “Not yours. I had so much hope for you. But I created you poorly then. So I must uncreate you now.”
Unbridled rage and anger poured from the Corinthian as Morpheus raised his hand as started reabsorbing him. The Corinthian started disintegrating and lighting up red, the power slipping from him and back into Morpheus, back into you.
“I am only sorry I won't be here to see Rose Walker do the same to you.” These were the Corinthian’s last words. Rose and Jed, you had nearly forgotten about them. You forced yourself to teleport away, feeling too cowardly to face what was only inevitable with Morpheus. An explosive fight that would leave you shattered for good.
Tumblr media
Fully absorbing and uncreating the Corinthian, Morpheus looked at the pile of sand and bent down to pick up the little skull that was all that was left of his favorite creation. He held it in his palm.
“Next time I make you, you will not be so flawed and petty, little dream.” Morpheus turned to look at you but saw that you were gone, the only evidence of you being present was the blood staining the floor. Morpheus looked down at his right hand, it was still in the process of healing and he knew that would be reflected on your body. Once again he had unintentionally hurt you “And I have much work to do regarding my relationship with my queen, should she choose to stop running.”
Tumblr media
Appearing outside the hotel, you spotted Rose leading Jed to her car and jogged to catch up to them.
“Rose! Jed!” You called out. They both paused in step and looked back at you. You caught up with them. “Are you alright? You aren’t hurt?”
“No, we’re both fine,” Rose answered, squeezing Jed’s hand. Jed’s eyes zeroed in on your hand.
“Are you okay Miss Y/N?” Bless that little boy, surrounded by serial killers and still selfless. You held up your throbbing hand and looked at the wound, it was still oozing but well on its way to healing. Being Endless had its perks. You smiled at Jed. “Oh I’ll be alright, I promise you, it’s just a scratch. Might I suggest we get on the road? I don’t feel comfortable with you two in this present company.”
“Wait, you’re coming with us?” Rose questioned. You nodded at her with a smile.
“I do intend to keep my word, Rose, and unfortunately this is far from over.” You explained, your eyes flickering around. Rose nodded and began guiding Jed to her car, you following close behind. You chose to sit in the backseat so the siblings could have a chance to catch up, and while Rose was putting the keys into the ignition, a gun went off in the next car over. Jed let out a gasp and jumped in his seat.
“Time to go, Jeddy,” Rose said, turning the car on and looking at you in the rearview mirror. You shared a look before she started driving away.

I love you (even if you don't feel the same)
Tumblr media
I came with the angst this time. I swear it will have a happy ending... Eventually.
Tumblr media
Yoohyeon knew you all her life, she spent all her life by your side, ever since she was a child.
You two were five at the time, and you were walking around the hybrid shelter while looking at every pup. You had told your parents you wanted a pet, and they agreed, even though they didn’t give you exactly what you wanted. You had expected a pup, a cat even, not a human as a pet, but they calmly explained that hybrids lived longer than pets, and that alone made you like the idea of having an hybrid around. Plus hybrids would understand you better, they were also humans after all, so they wouldn’t chew on your stuff, and it was whar sealed the deal.
Yet, you couldn’t find an hybrid that caught your eye completely. They were all cute, all playful, and probably the perfect company to anyone who decided to get them, yet none of them sparked anything in you. Or that was, until you saw Yoohyeon. She was sitting alone, playing with some legos, far away from every other hybrid, and you decided to go sit next to her, who jumped from surprise when she noticed you.
“Why are you playing alone? Isn’t it boring?” You asked her, earning a look of confusion from those wide brown eyes.
“I-I guess? I mean- uh, I like playing alone, it’s quiet.” She answered you, which sprouted thousands of questions from you.
“But, wouldn’t you like someone to be your friend? And have someone to play?” You asked, and she looked down, continuing to play with the blocks.
“Yeah, but... It’s hard for me to make friends.” She explained, and you nodded.
“We can be friends, I want a friend because my parents spend too much time working, and they don’t have time to play with me.” You explained the reason you were there rather quickly, making her look up at you.
“Why me?” She asked, knowing that you were implying getting her home with you.
“I don’t know, I guess because you seem lonely here alone. Do you want to come with me?” You asked her, and she looked once again at the toys.
She wasn’t sure if leaving with someone she didn’t know was the best idea, but all her family had been adopted, and she had nothing else there either, so she nodded, leaving the blocks on the floor and giving you a hand.
“My name is Yoohyeon.” She had told you that day, as you forego formalities and hugged her instead of giving her your hand, causing her tail to start wagging.
“Oh! That’s so cute, your tail is wagging! I’m Y/N, nice to meet you."
You two had gotten out there as friends, with Yoohyeon wearing a collar that you quickly asked your parents to take off of her as soon as you were out of the shelter, but she didn't want to. You didn't understood why, and you never understood why for the months she wore it, but you never judged, she was your friend, and if she wanted something, you would let her get away with it.
It only took her four months to get rid of the collar. Only four months to feel like she was part of the family enough to feel like she wasn't a pet, so she wouldn't need the collar. And it took her only four months to become completely glued to you. She ended up going to school because you went there, and she missed you on those hours you went there.
Yoohyeon quickly discovered that she hated school, the kids were mean to her because she was a puppy, and no matter if she barked, they would only get worse. But you were always there to defend her, no matter if you got in trouble because of it, she was your family, and you wouldn't allow them to make her feel bad. And as time passed, more kids started to defend her, less children were mean to her, and she saw more hybrids. She got more friends with time, and became less shy with time, yet there was one thing that never changed, and that was how close she was to you.
Yoohyeon never thought anything about it, she never questioned why she wanted to be this close to you, or why she didn't like when other people (not caring about their gender or if they were or weren't hybrids) got close to you, or why she liked so much to be pampered with your affection. It never made sense, until her friends made her realize that she was in love with you.
"I thought you knew about it." Lee Siyeon told her at lunch one day, when they were in highschool.
Lee Siyeon was a Rottweiler hybrid, and while everyone found her intimidating, Yoohyeon knew the truth: She was nothing but a cuddly puppy who loved to be around people. And Yoohyeon not being scared about anything was what made them friends, as she gave her a chance. And once Yoohyeon gave her a chance, other people started to give her a chance as well.
"Of course she wouldn't know, she's always so oblivious." Wheein, another dog hybrid, answered for her, and Yoohyeon couldn't do anything but blush at it.
She was right, and Yoohyeon couldn't fight it. She was oblivious, to the point where she hadn't known when girls flirted with her, leading to the point that she never had a girlfriend, even though she was on the last year of highschool, and she seemed popular with all kinds of people. Yoohyeon always said it was because she didn't found the right one, but now that her friends forced her to accept the truth, she saw it was because she only wanted you. But of course she had to hide it, she didn’t want her friends to tease her for it.
"Yeah, yeah whatever. But it doesn't mean anything, I don't have to go and tell her what I feel." She defended herself earning a laugh from her friends.
"Do as you wish, but you should tell her, you might never know if she likes you too." Dami adviced, with her tail flickering under the table, a way to tell the puppy hybrid she's being dumb.
Yoohyeon didn't like the way the cat hybrid told her dumb, or rather she didn't like being called dumb at all, even less in those situations, though Dami wasn't wrong, and maybe it was what she hated the most. The worst part was that those words kept going around during the year, and accompanied her to college, where the two of you moved out of your parents' house and got into an apartment, which you two paid while working part time. And somehow she thought it could be a great time, now that she had ended up high school, and that in case the worst case scenario happened and you didn't want to see her anymore because of her feelings, she would be able to get into the college dorms, or maybe rent a place with someone else.
So she got ready, she prepared herself, and got you flowers, and rehearsed what to tell you. She didn't feel ready, she didn't felt confident, but still she wanted to do it, she wanted to tell you, even though she didn't know what to do. The day came quickly, far too quickly, she had chosen to do so that day because finals were over and you two were more relaxed. So she got roses, and got to the apartment after a while ready to confess.
"Y/Nie! Where are you?" She asked from the door, not seeing you around.
"I'm coming! I was getting ready." You shouted from the bedroom, quickly getting to the living room. "What's with the flowers?"
"What's with you getting all dressed up?" She asked confused.
"Uh, well... I wanted to talk about it with you, but, what's with the flowers." You asked once again.
"It doesn't matter, what did you wanted to talk about?" She asked after closing the door, sitting on the couch, with her tail wagging so strongly that each hit on the couch was heard.
"I... Recently started seeing someone, and, I don't know, I wouldn't say I love them, but... She's kind, and really an amazing girl, I just didn't want you to just one day come here and find a stranger in our home, I know how you get..."
Sohee was amazing, she had the same classes as you did, and you often sat together, until she decided to ask you out. You accepted, even if a part of you screamed that you shouldn't, but you did, and you were... Happy, though not thrilled. You wouldn't say you imagined your whole life with her, but you could learn to love you, to grow to want a life with her. Yet, after three dates and her asking you to be officially your girlfriend, you still weren't sure of it.
But Yoohyeon, who was sure of loving you, felt her hear break for the first time, feeling like she had been too late, a lifetime too late.

Oh Snap
A bakugou (kinda not really) x Mina x fem!reader -you’ll see when you read it
Warnings: choice of words
About: don’t mess with Minas girl dude
“Marvino’s. You and me. 8 tomorrow.”
You stared at the man, the No.2 pro hero an easy tower like form over you. He smirked down at you, eyes a flame and easily eying you up and down with no shame. It was…well it was intruding to say the least.
“Excuse me?” You crossed your arms.
He again gave you an obvious look. “Do I gotta repeat myself? I want you. So how about a date, sweet heart?”
You walked away. Quite literally, not even batting an eye, turned on your heel and walked out of the coffee shop.
The man blinked a moment. Where were you going? The audacity! Anyone would be sure damn lucky if the- THE pro hero Dynamight asked em’ out. He doesn’t just let anyone go out with him! Let alone ask! Bakugou huffed, eyes following her out until he went to swing the glass door open just to go after her. But he was stopped in his tracks.
“Babe!”
Minas arms wrapped around you, hands shamelessly trailing to grope your ass and give a big kiss on the cheek. Blushing heavily you squeaked, holding breath as your girlfriend lay out what love she could on you in public.
“Hello” you giggled, flushing a cherry red. Giving some distance, you then went in for a quick peck that the other woman accepted easily.
Yellow eyes peeled up and Mina, once she realized, smiled wide. “Bakugou!” She called, waving and wrapping her other arm around her girlfriend.
At the realization, your eyes went wide, blushing and looking away, almost hiding behind Mina. Why the hell were you embarrassed? He’s the one who was fucked!
“This is my-“ Mina looked down at you, “oh- what’s wrong, Sweet?”
You had a hand fanning over your eyes, glued to the ground. “Nothing at all.” You gritted.
“We’ve met” bakugou huffed, arms crossing while he stared.
“Great!” Mina piped, hugging your side harder. She then proceeded to take your hand, squeezing it. “She’s been in America for 11 months! ‘Believe that?” She looked lovingly down at you, “and I finally have her back”
“That’s (y/n)?” Bakugou pointed.
“No.” You frowned, “I’m a random chick from America who found a nice pro hero to fuck for riches.”
Mina bursted laughing at bakugous change in expression.
“Listen here you little shit-“
“No you listen. The only reason you don’t have anyone looking your way is because you have the audacity to believe everyone froths at the mouth for you. Reality? You’re a piece a shit. And don’t ever call me “sweet heart”, sweet heart.” She looked him up and down, “I have a hard time finding many people not attractive cause damn this city knows fashion, and you might be pretty to look at, but your mouth says other wise. Remember you might do better sitting handsome on a shelf with your lips stitched shut.” And you tugged your girlfriends hand. “Come on Mina.”
Mina gaped at her woman and rose a brow at her friend, walking away in disbelief until she started just to laugh her ass off again.

Chapter 6 - Hands
Masterlist
Since yesterday, Tomura doesn't seem to want to leave my side.
"Are you sure that you want to go with me?" I ask with a raised eyebrow. The men before me gives me an irritated look.
"Why the hell do you ask me so often!? Would you be ashamed, if you were seen in public with me, or what?"
I can clearly hear his annoyance in his voice. Every time, I offered him to accompany me to the market, he refused. Why does it bother him so much now?
"No! It's just quite unusual..." I confess. "Normally, you don't want to go with me."
He doesn't seem to be able to object to this, as he clicks his tongue.
"Let's just go, okay!?"
"Of course," I answer him with a cheeky grin on my lips and open the door. The moment we leave the stairwell, Tomura grabs my hand. All his five fingers give my hand a strong squeeze and stay in a strong and rough grip.
Totally shocked, my eyes widen and my gaze drifts to the men next to me, who seems to ignore me skillfully. Since his face is covered by his black hood, I fail to get a look from his expression.
What is wrong with him lately?
To be honest, I have no idea how to react to this. Should I retract my hand? We aren't in a relationship, why is he doing this?
Too deep in thought, I don't even realize when we arrive at the shop. Wanting to grab the object I need, I try to free my hand from Tomuras grip - only for him to nearly break it.
I gasp for air in pain and glance at him speechless.  As we make eye contact, everything seem to halt in me. The look in his eyes says all: a warning.
Slowly, panic starts to rise in me.
Huh? What's wrong with me?
My left hand is still free.
Calm down.
People are giving me weird looks already.
Shit. Why is my heart beating so fast?
With a trembling breath, I snatch the flour with my left hand and go ahead. Feeling too curious, I give Tomura one last look. He seems pretty satisfied.
Was he always like this?
The purchase continues normally. As we reach the cashpoint, Tomura just puts the cash on the desk - so fast that I couldn't even react.
"Why are you buying everything? Wait, I'll give it back to you," I say as we exit the market.
"I don't want your money. You're poor enough," he answers and walks into the direction of the city center, while dragging me with him without any problems. I didn't know, he had other plans. Is that the reason for him accompany me?
No matter of hard I try to suppress my panic - it stays. No normal thought can replace it.
My gaze drifts to our inverted hands.
"Stop looking so frighted," Tomura sighs and halts. "I'm just holding your hand, what's so bad about it?"
"Nothing..."
He raises a brow, expecting me to continue.
"You just seem so determined to hold my hand. I get the feeling that you would be furious about me letting yours go..." I mumble and rub my arm with my free hand. The sound of my heartbeat drowns all the other noises, while my gaze is glued to the ground.
"A date."
Huh..?
When Tomura catches my confuses expression, he clicks his tongue.
"People who are on a date are usually holding hands. Never heard of it?"
"Yes, but since when are we on a date?"
How is that a reason for silently threaten me?
"Since we left your apartment. Wasn't it obvious!?"
This is the first time that Tomura avoids my gaze.
The only thing I can do, is to shrug exhausted. Why didn't he told me about it? Is he too shy to ask?
Well, I know he is bad with feelings...
"Tomura, I can't read minds. My quirk is something different, you know?"
His eyes lit up and a smile, which reaches his eyes, spreads across his face, as I mentioned my quirk. His hand draws mine to his mouth and gives it a slight squeeze. "I know," he mumbles joyful before giving the back of my hand a soft kiss.
Suddenly, I feel how warmth spreads across my face. My eyes widen and my heart beats even faster as before. My mind goes blank and all I can think of is, how cute he looks right now.
_
The tension between us is gone by now. My lips are permanently curled up, while talking to him. There is much going on in the city center and it doesn't take long for us to stop by a video game shop.
"Oh! I know this game!" I shout joyful and point at the game: "It Takes Two."
Tomura glances bored at the cover. It's probably not his taste at all. When I saw the trailer for the game, I thought it was pretty cool. I also have a console, but since it's a game that you play with a partner, I never bought it.
Too deep in thought, I don't notice how his eyes drift to my glittering optics. That's why I jolt when he drags us into the shop and puts the game on the counter.
Excited, I look around and gaze at all the rows of games and merchandise. I love shops, who make use of all the space they have.
When we leave the shop, my ears catch the sounds of the news, talking about my residential area. I halt instantly.
"We took notice of the big amount of missing and death reports. Apparently, somebody saw one of the League of Villains members, dragging a corpse. We asked the pro-heroes about their plans to protect the life of the civilians."
"A big amount of missing and death reports? At my residential area? OH GOD!" I exclaim loudly, which causes some passengers to give me weird looks.
"Don't worry too much," Tomura starts speaking behind me. "Nothing will happen to you."
"What makes you so sure of it? What about you? Imagine something happens to you!" I continue to panic. Since I'm talking to Tomura, I turn around to face him: only to see a fat smirk on his lips.

“Interrogate.”
Tumblr media
A/N: Request from @mooneeeee , I apologize that it took so long to post! There will be another part to this as well, maybe three in total but I’m not sure yet. Also I know that I’ve stated that I don’t write smut but this is about as far as I’ll go in that department! Even this was hard for me but I needed to write it so that I could establish the relationship. Song lyrics from 1 step forward, 3 steps back by Olivia Rodrigo
~
You got me fucked up in the head, boy
Never doubted myself so much
Like, am I pretty? Am I fun, boy?
I hate that I give you power over that kind of stuff
'Cause it's always one step forward and three steps back
I'm the love of your life until I make you mad
It's always one step forward and three steps back
Do you love me, want me, hate me? Boy, I don't understand
~
“Oh, Dom!” You cried out, digging your nails into Sonny’s back.
“You’re so good, baby.” Sonny praised in between kisses, continuously thrusting himself inside you, about to climax.
Sonny moaned as he finally came, the two of you both breathing heavily. He flopped himself down onto the bed beside you. You slid over to him, laying your head down on his bare chest.
“God, I needed that.” Sonny sighed, kissing your hair.
“Long day?” You asked.
“Long day would be an understatement.” Sonny grumbled.
“Do you wanna talk about it?”
“I’d rather talk about how fucking hot you look right now.” Sonny eyed your naked body up and down.
You blushed, staring up at him. “You don’t look too bad yourself, Counselor.”
Sonny hummed in pleasure, kissing your hair again.
You laid on his chest and admired the way his body looked, the way that you felt so close to him in the moment. The casual sex was great, but you love the cuddling and sleepovers even more. You want so much more than just sex with Sonny, but there’s always something that gets in the way. Sonny lashes out any time you try to bring up your relationship or the way that he or you feels about things.
As you were just about to drift off to sleep, you heard Sonny’s phone vibrate on the bedside table. You sat up off of Sonny and he rolled over to grab his phone.
“Who is it?” You asked.
Sonny ignored you as he read whatever message he received. You watched as his eyes moved from right to left, glued to the phone screen.
“Is something wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong, Y/N. Why are you so concerned about who’s texting me?” Sonny snapped.
“I’m not concerned, I was just curious if it was work related. Didn’t know if you’d have to leave again.”
Sonny got up out of bed and began putting his clothes on. “I do have to leave, actually. And it’s not because of work.”
Your eyes widened. You didn’t understand what you had done to make Sonny so frustrated and why he was being so harsh all of a sudden. You could tell by his reaction that Amanda Rollins was the one texting him, and the reason for him leaving. They’ve been close ever since you’ve known Sonny.
“Sonny, wait! Can’t you just talk to me?”
“What is there to talk about, Y/N? We’re not together, which means I can do whatever I want with whoever I want. It’s none of your business what I do or who I text or who I hang out with. I’m a grown man and I don’t need to be interrogated.”
“I’m not trying to interrogate you! Aren’t I allowed to ask you questions, make conversation?”
“Sure you are, but not when it involves my texts or the other people in my life. You get so clingy out of nowhere and it’s fucking annoying, Y/N.”
You stared at Sonny blankly and he stared back at you. You didn’t respond to him, and it seemed like he had nothing more to say. While on the outside you seemed unbothered, on the inside, Sonny’s words hurt. He abruptly lashes out but it ends up being your fault. For what reason? Why does this keep happening?
Sonny huffed, grabbing his things. “I’ve gotta go.”
You watched as Sonny walked out of your bedroom and down the hall, taking a turn and then disappearing from your sight. You laid back down in bed, rolling over to your side, preparing to go to sleep. You were hurt by Sonny but it wasn’t a deep hurt. You weren’t worried about what would happen next. You would go to bed and forget about the whole situation by the morning.
Besides, Sonny will come crawling back. He always does.

A Marshal’s Talents Part 1
Pairing: Tim Gutterson x Reader
Warnings: references to past abuse, cursing
Media: Justified
Word Count: 1294
Part 2
Part 1
The Marshals office was one often visited by many of Harlan county’s residents. Said visitors being criminals and or fugitives. But this visit wasn’t one of business or Justice. You walked out of the elevator, through the door to the Marshal’s office and scanned the main room for the familiar hat. You saw Raylan talking to an older man in the office across from you. The scolding he was getting perfectly clear through the glass walls. Not wanting to interrupt the more than likely justified tongue lashing, you look for the Givens desk marker. Seeing that it was around 5 o'clock not many were in the office to stop you from plopping yourself into Raylan’s chair, and those who were seemed too absorbed in their work to notice. Propping your feet on his desk you spent about 15 minutes playing temple run on your phone until you heard the door open and the previously muffled voices became crisp.
“ No Art, for the last time, I don’t seek out people to kill. It ain’t my fault they try to shoot me.”
You see the older man, presumably “Art”, follow Raylan out of the door.
“ But ya sure provoke em till they do pull on you. Lucky for me I have a lot more patience than the men you shoot or else the last thing I see will be the barrel of your gun like the rest of them. ” Art smirks.
Raylan turns to Art, “ Aw don’t feel too left out, you do make me put my guns on safety in the office for a reason.”
You watch the conversation with an amused glint in your eye. Raylan had not changed a bit in the few years since you actually saw him. The same smart ass sarcasm that got him beat by Arlo. He was a little thinner than you remember but that’s how age works you guessed. You were younger than him, being born when he was 10 gave you guys a good gap relationship wise, but it balanced how close you became in opposing your dear old daddy.
Raylan turned to walk to his desk as a man and a woman walked through the doors. He paused, eyes wide.
“ Bring your lover to work day, Raylan? Isn’t she a bit young.” The woman chirped as she passed behind him. The man simply quirked his eyebrow at you in curiosity and followed her into the room next to Art’s office.
Eyes still glued to you, Raylan yelled,
“She’s my baby sister!”
Raylan continued to look at you in utter disbelief.
“ Wow Raylan, is that the proper way to greet your sister after 6 years?” You drawled as you got up from the chair. He blinked, blinked again, and pulled you into a not very Raylan like hug.
The Givens weren’t ones for physical affection as it turns out, You know with all the hittin there wasn’t much time for huggin.
You hugged him briefly then pushed away.
“ It’s good to see you too, you alright?”
Raylan stared at you for a little longer with his hands on your shoulders.
“What are you doing here? And why...” He sounded like he wanted to say more, but the door to what you thought could be some sort of conference room opened and Art plus the man and woman approached the both of you.
You shook off Raylan’s hands and offered your own to Art, “ Art, I believe? I’m y/n Givens.”
Art took your hand and shook it once, “ It’s a pleasure to meet one of Raylan’s family members that looks to be a kind upstanding citizen. Although he never mentioned a sister.”. He released your hand and looked at Raylan expectantly.
Raylan looked at you then the three marshals,“ Well this is my baby sister, who I haven’t seen in a while… and who I didn’t know was in town I suppose.” Raylan waited for you to elaborate.
You glanced away from him as you explained, “ I’ve been in Virginia finishing up my Masters Degree, but I got a call from our Aunt sayin Raylan was back in town and thought I’d come back before he killed our daddy so I took a semester off."
“ Yeah we met Arlo”, the woman said. “ Oh by the way, I’m Raylan’s coworker, Rachel. And this hear”, she gestures at the blonde man standing next to her, “ is Tim.”
“ Both Marshals as well?” you asked, shaking Rachel’s outstretched hand.
“ Yes Ma’am”, Tim drawled, uncrossing his arms to shake your hand as well.
Tim, you noticed, had not taken his eyes off of you this entire time unlike Rachel and Art who had looked at you and Raylan throughout the conversation. He was much quieter than the other marshals.
You shook his hand, “ Nice to meet you, Tim!”
His mouth tilted into a smirk and he nodded his head in a greeting.
“ Sorry about the comment earlier.” Rachel sighed, “ I’m just not used to seeing Raylan with a woman that he isn’t sleeping with.”
You made a face at that, “ Yeah, I don’t blame you, he’s a bit of a whore.”
At that Raylan smacked you in the back of the head and you cringed. He never liked you commenting on his “love life” or whatever it was.
You turned to Raylan, “ That reminds me, I saw Winona when I walked in…” You trailed off waiting for Raylan to say anything.
Instead all he said was “ Yup”, turned and grabbed his keys of his desk.
“Well I was on my way to go visit Boyd on a new case I’m on,” he looked at you, “ you need a ride back?”
You nodded at Raylan and looked at his coworkers, “ It was a pleasure to meet you all, but I guess we are heading out.”
You followed your brother out the door as you waved to them. Art and Rachel waved back, and Tim nodded again.
You walked out to Raylan's town car with him and hopped in the passengers seat. He slammed the door and looked at you as he got in.
“ I don’t see you for 6 years, and you just show up at my JOB!?”
You gave him a deadpan stare, “ yes Raylan, thank you for recounting the past 20 minutes, your observation skills astound me.”
“Why are you here?” Raylan continued.
“I don’t understand why you are so upset, you're the one who didn't tell me that you were being transferred here of all places.”
Raylan looked a little defeated. “ I just didn’t want you to feel like you had to come back , just cause I was here.”
“ I don’t need you to protect me, and I didn’t actually come back because you were back. Aunt Helene called and said she needed some help with Arlo, something about his meds. She just happened to tell me you were here last night. Asked me if I had seen you yet. A bit of a surprise since I thought you were still in Miami.” Your tone of voice softened as you spoke, “ It really doesn't matter Raylan, I’m glad you're okay, and we can catch up since I’ll be in town a while. Now why don’t you take me to my hotel room.”
...
It turns out you and Raylan were staying in the same motel at the moment. The main reason you probably haven't seen each other in the week you had been here was your constant rides back and forth to Harlan at odd hours or whenever Helen called.
Raylan parked the car and you got out, “ welp, I guess I’ll see you soon Raylan.” You yawned and walked to your room on the other side of the building. He waved goodnight and drove off in the direction of Harlan and presumably Boyd.
To be continued

Okay… Got it…
This is a transcript of my nightmare last night, written by me in haste this morning.
(OOC: VERY long writing up ahead. Like, 15 pages in Google Docs. Fighting, blood/gore, manipulative behaviors, death mentions and threats, and a very hateful tango are included in this writing.)
[Jeremy is pulled into a large room with extremely dramatic lighting, it feels a little unnecessary. The pillars between the windows are a pleasing white, and the ceiling of the room is fairly elaborate, with gold accents on some of the more intricate parts. A large chandelier sits in the very center. It appears to be around midnight, the stars visible in the sky out the windows.]
Jeremy: … Okay, this one is different than usual. That’s new. Uh… holy shit?
[Jeremy finds himself glued to the ground, his eyes wide as he tries to take in every detail at once. Heavily shaken, he begins to take a step further into the room, hesitant.]
Jeremy: Hello? This big of a room is not empty, I’m not stupid.
?: I was under the impression that you are, since it hasn’t been disproven yet.
[Someone’s footsteps are heard echoing throughout the room, Jeremy can’t tell if they’re approaching him or moving away.]
Jeremy: I was right! … That’s not… Wait, that’s a different voice…
[Jeremy begins spinning himself around, trying to find where the voice is coming from, but every time he turns one direction, he hears a step from the opposite way.]
?: You’re going to make yourself dizzy, Jeremy. This is ridiculous.
Jeremy: If it’s so ridiculous, show up already.
[A figure appears directly in front of Jeremy. The person grins. They have brown hair, and appear to be wearing a hoodie, a button up, and black jeans.]
?: Hey.
[Jeremy jumps back, despite him asking to see the figure. Karma.]
Jeremy: Holy shit- Okay. Alright. I’m fine. Which one are you?
[A small frown appears on the other’s face, as they motion to a nametag that definitely wasn’t there before. It has one letter on it. E.]
Jeremy: Oh. Fun. You’re here to traumatize me too?
E: I– No. Contrary to popular belief, I’m trying to help. And since the other method is the reason you all dislike me, I’m trying something new.
Jeremy: Lovely. I’m a guinea pig.
E: Precisely, do you know how to dance?
[Jeremy double takes.]
Jeremy: I– … No?? Why?
[E raises an eyebrow at Jeremy, looking him up and down.]
E: It’s a wonder you ever caught the attention of a woman.
Jeremy: Uh, fuck you?? I don’t have to know how to dance.
E: Yeah, sure, you don’t need to. But it’s a good skill. It would make up for that haircut.
Jeremy: Hey, Jenny cut that… Besides, we unprofessionally dance together anyway, how hard could it be?
[The other rolls his eyes, holding out a hand. Jeremy hesitates, just long enough to be noticeable, but takes E’s hand.]
Jeremy: This is going to be fucking weird for me.
E: And the past few weeks haven’t? Your life is weird now, just roll with it.
Jeremy: Not weird like this. I, again, have never danced. And never thought I would. Especially not with ghosts.
[E turns, and pulls him further into the large room.]
E: This generation is so frustrating, first, I find out that your phones are flimsy as fuck, and now none of you can dance? What next? You don’t know how to write in cursive?
Jeremy: … Well.
E: [Turning his head to Jeremy, an expression of disbelief on his face.] You’re kidding, right?
Jeremy: Well, Jenny knows, but most people don’t anymore, I don’t think… Some people can’t even read it.
E: Back when I was in school, it was mandatory.
Jeremy: Oddly enough, it was for us too. We just… never used it.
[E stops walking as they near the center. Fully turning to Jeremy.]
Jeremy: … Shit, now I actually have to think about what I’m doing. I’m supposed to be sleeping, y’know? Don’t make me think ever.
E: I don’t know if you’ve ever started, so it shouldn’t be hard to continue that trend. Either way, I’m leading. You just need to not step on my feet.
Jeremy: God… Wish me fucking luck, I don’t even know what leading is.
E: If I weren’t already dead, I think you would’ve just caused me to have a heart attack.
Jeremy: Oops, I guess. Never had to dance. Do I look like the kind of person who would?
E: I guess not, I could’ve assumed so. You don’t look like you get out often.
Jeremy: That was probably meant as an insult, but you’re right. You’re just actually right.
E: The fact that I, a dead man, have touched more grass than you have, is slightly upsetting.
Jeremy: God. You should meet Alexander. He’s worse than I am about going anywhere… I think.
E: Well, if that was an invitation, I’ll be sure to pay him a visit. What kind of music would you like?
Jeremy: God, I hope you’re nice to him. Uh… I honestly don’t know, dealer’s choice, I guess.
[E grins, much wider than he probably needed to, and snaps his fingers. Generic sounding ballroom music begins to play from… somewhere. And he takes a step to the side after grabbing Jeremy’s hands.]
Jeremy: Oh, shit-
[Jeremy almost immediately stumbles, but somehow stays upright.]
E: We’ve taken one step, and you’ve already– oh my god.
Jeremy: I didn’t know which way we were going!!
[Another step is taken, this time, E slows it down so Jeremy can see which direction they’re supposed to be moving in.]
Jeremy: Okay, okay, uh…
[Jeremy starts counting beats to himself almost silently, trying to follow along the best he can. Surprisingly enough, he’s keeping up.]
E: Okay, now that you’ve got it… somewhat down, we need to talk.
Jeremy: [Facing downwards.] You know, we could have talked standing! My brain is not going to keep up with both things, dude.
E: I think better on my feet. Movement helps me work things through. You wouldn’t get it, I’m not sure there’s anything larger than a peanut up there.
Jeremy: [Looking up again.] Hey, fuck y–
[Jeremy stumbles almost immediately after taking his eyes off of the ground. He corrects himself quickly.]
Jeremy: … Okay. Point proven.
E: Mhm. [Clearing his throat.] So, I just want to set one thing straight here. I’m not against you, or Jenny. Or anyone you’re close with. Got it?
Jeremy: I uh… I can try to believe that.
E: [Sighing.] Look, I know I haven’t been the most… helpful, or… nice. Or trustworthy. Or anything positive. But I swear I’m on your side.
Jeremy: … I want to believe you. Really, I do. But with… I have trouble. I want to trust you, though. Seriously.
E: I know, if it helps, though… we’ve got one thing in common.
Jeremy: Yeah?
[Jeremy tries looking at E again, and manages to make eye contact for about five seconds before having to look back down. Oddly enough, a decent improvement.]
E: We were conned by the same man.
[The lights in the room flicker.]
?: Who, me?
[Jeremy visibly tenses, and subconsciously moves closer to E.]
E: Oh, you’re fuckin’ kiddin’.
[Emerging from the dark corner of the room is a man. First seen are his eyes, shining a piercing, unnatural purple, almost pink around the edges, the light reflecting off of his glasses. His face is scarred, and he looks deprived of any sleep.]
[Once his form is more visible, the second most notable thing is how tall he is. He looks about 6’4. Unfortunately, he appears even taller with the large golden rabbit ears sprouting from his head, adding a good 6 inches to his already large frame, even when they’re flopped down like they are, resting oddly naturally in his hair. His hair, a dark brown, near black, is tied into a low, frizzy-looking ponytail.]
[The ponytail rests against his gray dress shirt collar, which he adjusts, as well as his black suit jacket, matching his pants. As a final touch, he tightens his bright, velvety-purple bow tie.]
[He begins approaching the two. He’s not quick about it, he walks up as if they had motioned for him to walk over when neither of them wanted him here, as evident by E’s sharpening teeth, slowly bloodying form, and the ticking. The abnormally loud ticking is heard by Jeremy, and despite his fear of both people in the vicinity, he finds himself clinging to E, his eyes as wide as saucers, color drained from his face.]
E: You just had to show me up in every way possible, eh? Looks like someone’s compensating.
A: Looks like someone’s jealous, more like.
E: Of you? Has your ego gotten bigger since we last met?
A: Of course it has. And for good reason. Not many people can say they’ve tricked someone into giving them a living form…
[Anomaly leans forward, a smug smile across his face.]
A: Really, I can only think of two.
Jeremy: … I’d say the circumstances were different–
A: Quiet.
[Jeremy flinches, dropping his gaze to the ground. It’s clear this isn’t the first time this has happened.]
[E lets out a low… growl? As he makes eye contact with Anomaly. He appears to be considering his options. Suddenly, a grin appears on his face.]
E: Big talk for a guy who died in the most pathetic way possible.
[He starts to laugh.]
E: The fact that you could’ve avoided it always gets me. And besides, I didn’t trick Mari. I told them exactly what I intended to do. You didn’t say jack shit.
[His head falls back, and Anomaly laughs. It’s loud and it echoes in Jeremy’s mind. Sharp and inhuman, more like some sort of animalistic noise than any sort of human laugh. Suddenly, his head snaps back into place, a smile across his face despite his barely noticeable annoyance. (Oh yeah, I saw that, you masquerading- I’m sorry. I don’t mean that.)]
A: All you could think of to try to bother me, hm?
[Anomaly’s head tilts to the side, almost robotically.]
A: You know, I find it interesting that you mention that my death was avoidable because, really, yours was too. Maybe if you actually did your job you would’ve made it further.
[The volume of the ticking spikes, and E tenses. His right eye twitches in time with the ticking. He takes a few breaths, and the ticking quiets down.]
E: Maybe, yes. But I really don’t see how getting torn in half by robots was the result of a night guard not doing his job correctly, and not the fault of the person who designed those robots in the first place. And I’ve got a lot more where that came from, I’m only scratching the surface.
A: Interesting, because I had the same experiences with them in hell and still got through it several times unscathed. I think that’s more on you.
[Jeremy opens his mouth to object, to defend E, but quickly closes it as Anomaly glances at him. He lowers his head again, his shoulders tense.]
E: Mhm, mhm, and how many attempts did it take to get it right? I only had one try. Honestly, it’s so crazy to me how you’re still this salty about everything. It’s not my fault none of your kids like you. God, the things Michael had to say about you… and I don’t doubt that the other two have the same shit to say.
[E chuckles, leaning backwards. His hand goes to his forehead and he stands back upright.]
E: Man, he hated you! Said he used to look up to you. He wanted you to love him so badly that it ended up taking over his life. He wanted to be you.
A: He should’ve been nicer to his brother.
[Anomaly smiles wider after a moment, as if he remembered something.]
A: “Salty”, well… You’re still here too, aren’t you, Edgar? I’d say we’re both a bit unhappy.
E: Yes, you’re right. I’m very unhappy. Only because Im talking to you, Willi–
[Before E can finish his sentence, Anomaly grabs his wrist, swinging him into the beginning of a long and angry dance. As soon as the spin ends, Anomaly slips his hand from E’s wrist to his hand, pulling E close to him in some sort of strange tango pose.]
A: You want to talk for a while? Because, as it turns out, I also think better on my feet.
[Anomaly glances at E, a smug look on his face.]
A: Hope you don’t mind.
[E’s jaw clenches, and his hands curl tightly around Anomaly’s. He glances back at Jeremy, expression unreadable, before looking down at his clothes, and then glaring directly into Anomaly’s eyes.]
E: Oh, you son of a– I’m not doing this in my fuckin’ work clothes, fuck you.
[As Jeremy blinks, E’s outfit changes from his old white button up to a deep red one, with a black vest overtop. His black jeans now a more formal pair, with some chains clipped on. A black tie is loosely tied at the top. His hair appears tidier now, possibly brushed, as well as washed. His hands also have fingerless gloves on them. How all of this happened within a second, Jeremy will never know.]
A: Aw, you felt underdressed. I apologize… Well, if it makes you feel better, now I’m feeling a bit overdressed.
[Even if you were looking at him (I was), you wouldn’t be able to place how his outfit changes. He does nothing special. Suddenly, his outfit almost mirrors E’s, but his dress shirt is a bright white, and his vest a deep reflective purple.]
A: There we are, now we’re matching.
[Anomaly grins, implications clear.]
E: You look shitty, I definitely wore it better.
A: Good thing I’m not aiming to impress anyone.
[E scoffs, looking Anomaly up and down.]
E: That’s fairly obvious. If I had worse vision I’d easily mistake you for a rat.
A: And I’d mistake you for someone’s shit prom date.
[The lights in the room become tinted a rich purple. Distorted and slow music begins, getting clearer and more cohesive as Anomaly starts to move, but E wrenches one hand out of the other's grip, forcing Anomaly into a violent turn that ends with him leaning away from E, holding on to his hand. He's pulled back in, and he instinctively picks his outside leg up as E leans him back in a dip that brings Anomaly close to the ground, the ears closing the distance between his head and the floor. The lights above turn a stunning shade of red as E pulls Anomaly up and switches the way they were facing, two hands around Anomaly's back as he sticks a hip out to the left.]
E: Come on, let’s fucking dance, asshole.
A: If you insist.
[Anomaly forces E backwards, taking step after step across the room, the lights switch to purple after the 4th step, on the 6th, they both stop. Anomaly turns to face E, wrapping an arm around his neck and raising the other towards Jeremy, E slides his hand up his arm and grabs the hand, turning Anomaly away, the lights flicker to red for a moment. Anomaly takes his first arm away as the two bend down, sliding into a pose with one leg extended to the back with the other bent underneath them. As they stand, Anomaly places his arm on E’s shoulder before he starts to move around E. They take steps backwards in time with the music.]
[Things speed up and Anomaly forces their steps to become smaller and faster, before ultimately picking E up and swinging him through the air as the violin plays more intensely than before, his legs straightened behind him. He’s forced into a sort of lunge, before he’s flung out of it and slammed backwards into Anomaly’s arm as the lights explode with a violent purple hue, his head whips backwards with a loud crack, and Anomaly stares into his eyes as he steps over E’s extended back leg. Jeremy catches E… wincing? (That bastard hurt him.) But he stops within a second, standing right back up and dragging Anomaly across the ballroom floor, steps becoming more complicated, perhaps as a way to trip Anomaly up.]
[The lights turn red again, a blood colour, as the two make their way around the ballroom, the footwork becoming even more complex as they swirl this way and that, E pushes Anomaly into a spin before grabbing hold of his hands again. They begin a diagonal walk, with Anomaly pushing E across the room, bathing it in purple light, before E retaliates and forces them back to where they came. The crimson returns. They stop abruptly, and E raises his hand above his head, bringing Anomaly’s with it. He attempts to lower Anomaly into a second dip, but is spun into it by him instead. As he’s brought back up, Anomaly picks him up a second time for another whirling turn, and as he comes out of it, he immediately whips around to be behind him, grabbing on and leaning to the side.]
[As they come up, Anomaly wraps a leg around E’s torso, then, after a few seconds, he unwraps it. The two step back, and Anomaly grabs E’s head. Forcing eye contact as they cross the floor once more. The action bathes the ballroom in purple.]
E: [Through a clenched jaw.] Let go of me.
A: Oh, why? You’re enjoying yourself, aren’t you? You engaged the whole idea of dance in the first place.
E: It was never supposed to be with you, you flea ridden egotistical shitlord.
A: And yet you haven’t stopped yet. Interesting.
E: I am many things, but a coward isn’t one of them.
A: Could’ve fooled me.
[Instead of blurting out a witty reply, E bites Anomaly’s hand. Hard. Causing him to let go. Anomaly’s smug smile falters for a split second. The smile returns, but he speaks through gritted teeth.]
A: Gh–! … Dog.
E: [He grins, but not out of joy, but likely just to show his teeth.] Thank you! I’ll fucking do it again.
A: [He leans in, as if to prove he’s not afraid.] I’d like to see you try.
[E, now finally able to look away from Anomaly, only relaxes for a second before diving right back into the dance, turning the lights red once more. E leads Anomaly around the space, once again altering the footwork. He pauses and baits Anomaly into a high kick, before managing to get Anomaly to face the same way as he was. He quickly turns, and does a split leap, throwing E off balance slightly. As they continue to move about the space, E can be seen attempting to kick Anomaly in the shins.]
[They pause, and lean backwards in tandem, before Anomaly pulls E into an odd spin, allowing him to end up sitting on his leg. E immediately untangles himself and moves away, bringing Anomaly with him. Spinning with the other man under the red lights of the room. They stop. Anomaly forces E backwards, one step, two steps, three, four. The fourth is mixed with a sort of spin, which continues as the two dancers circle each other, illuminated by purple. They stop spinning, still moving. Their backs to Jeremy.]
[E twists around Anomaly, trying to gain the upper hand, steps gaining speed as they both attempt to keep control of the other. Twists and turns and jumps and steps are all part of their battle. E pulls Anomaly into a spin, Anomaly switches the direction of their movement. E steps back, throwing his arm up and grinning at Anomaly, taunting him.]
[The dance picks up immense speed as the two dash across the floor, shoes hitting the wood loudly as they move. E is picked up, and swivels his legs quickly in the air before being put back down. The two step quickly, the lights begin flashing. Red, purple, red, purple. Switching back and forth as they dance. Jeremy can barely keep up with the speed. E does a high kick, Anomaly retaliates by trying to knock him off balance. The flashing of the lights is beginning to make Jeremy woozy.]
[Anomaly picks E up in a lift, both his legs bent, he’s put down and they continue their war. Anomaly stops and holds E’s hand above him as he does a pirouette of some kind, kicking his leg to give him enough momentum to get him halfway around, then again. They leap into action once the turn is finished, Anomaly and E’s legs intertwine as they compete, kicking and weaving around the others like they’d practiced this for years in advance.]
[E grabs Anomaly the same way he did earlier, picking him up and swinging him in a circle, and then doing it again, the lights are so red the walls could’ve been covered in blood, and Jeremy would be none the wiser. Anomaly switches it on him and spins E around in a circle with his leg extended to the back, the switch to purple shows there is no blood on the walls. E jumps out of it, and Anomaly continues the previous action of the footwork, before picking up E in another lift and swinging him behind him, E kicks his legs and Anomaly places him back down. They end up leaning away from one another, and Anomaly pulls him in before violently dropping him into a dip, the same one from the beginning. E extends his lifted leg upwards, his supporting leg and head nearly creating a finished arch. He glares at Anomaly with such a deep and wild hatred you'd think he'd stolen his eyes from a sort of beast. The tango is finally done. And the lights stop changing. Anomaly is soaked in red, and E is only illuminated by purple.]
[Anomaly looks down at E, expression only able to be described as “lightly crazed”. He glances down at E’s position and, with no other thought, lets him drop to the floor.]
A: Lovely performance.
E: Thank you, yours was horrible. Off tempo for half of the fucking song, and the other half was just plain sloppy.
A: Wow, I try to be nice for once, and this is what I get. How rude.
E: Oh yeah, because telling me I did a good job makes up for everything. Mhm. All is forgiven. Yep.
A: Oh, no, I’m not trying for forgiveness. I’m just mature enough to know how to compliment people even when I don’t like them.
E: The hell do you want me to say? ‘Oh, thank you for interrupting me with your incredible dancing skills, this was totally better than what I was trying to do before.’?
A: You weren’t doing anything important—
E: Of course you wouldn’t consider it important, jackass. I—
[The two drop silent as a creaking is heard throughout the room. The chandelier is swinging.]
E: What the…?
[The chandelier seems to stutter in place, halfway catching itself. Anomaly begins backing away from it, eyes wide. As soon as he reaches a safe distance away, the chandelier shifts again, cracks forming in the ceiling. Jeremy finally musters up words to say. Or, well, a word.]
Jeremy: EDGAR!
[E, startled, turns to Jeremy, a confused expression on his face. Nothing happening seems to have registered yet.]
[The ceiling shatters, and through the debris and dust, Jeremy can only see a hand being placed on E’s shoulder. One that caused him just about as much concern, if not more, as the mental image of E being crushed by a chandelier.]
[When the dust clears, Jeremy can finally see the two on the ground, 90% unscathed. Anomaly, the closest to the broken glass, planks, metal and chain, is currently not paying attention to his cuts. It seems that glass shot past him and caught some of his skin. (I… thought he couldn’t get hurt.)]
Jeremy: Jesus christ, I-I’m sorry, I didn’t… God. I-I’m so sorry. Th-that was my fault… [Turning to E.] Are you okay?
[E, who was staring at… nothing at this point, blinks a few times before turning to Jeremy and nodding.]
[As Jeremy turns to look at Anomaly, he’s surprised to find him moving. Jeremy finds his eyebrows knit in concern and tries to force them down, as if that will stop him from feeling concerned too.]
Jeremy: … Are you—
[Anomaly shifts, pushing himself up off of the ground. Glass sticks to his palms, and he shakes his hands to remove it. The shards clink to the ground. As soon as he feels the big shards of glass are gone, he turns to look at E, his expression… blank…? (I’ve never seen him without a smile…).]
[After blinking a couple times, Anomaly looks at the palms of his hands, and his eyebrows furrow. He picks a few shards of glass from his hands, then dramatically wipes them off on his vest, like he was trying to scratch them against the fabric. When he’s done, he looks at his palms again, his expression finally settling on (what I think was) disgust.]
[After thoroughly examining his hands, he looks back at E. He looks at the chandelier. And then… he looks at Jeremy. His face morphs. From the corners of the mouth to below the outsides of his eyes, black stitching lines his face. Another line of stitches lay around his neck. Then, most notably considering his staring beforehand, stitching lining his hands and wrists, as if he’s being held together like Frankenstein’s monster. Around these stitches are more scars that weren’t seen before. Strange cuff-like scars around his wrists and elbows. Lines running down from his wrists to his knuckles. Most noticeable, however, are the strange crescent-moon shaped scars on his neck and down his forearms, and dots around his mouth, as if something stabbed through.]
[As if he were waiting for Jeremy to process what he was seeing, Anomaly stares at him for a moment. Then, his eyebrows furrow further, his mouth curls into a frown, and his eyes shine bright.]
A: [Quietly.] You…
[Anomaly starts to walk towards Jeremy, who begins to back away until he trips over a piece of debris and falls backwards, his back to the wall. Anomaly’s head twitches from one side to the other as he approaches, making painful clicking sounds, but his eyes never leave Jeremy.]
E: Oh, I don’t think so, you piece of shit.
[E, who was blankly staring off into the distance just moments ago, is now back on his feet, rolling up his sleeves. Blood begins to pool beneath him. There was a stream of red coming from his forehead, somewhat entering his mouth. There were now holes in his cheeks, showcasing teeth that are somehow sharper than before. He takes a step forward, then another. Each step, his gait changes ever so slightly. It isn’t until he gets closer that Jeremy realizes why. His legs’ very structure have morphed into something animalistic. They’re bent weirdly in the wrong places, kind of like a cat, or a wolf.]
[He untucks his shirt, likely just going to tuck it back in. As he does so, Jeremy notices some string sewn across his lower waist, where the blood is coming from. The stitches appear to be going the full way around his torso, tightly woven into his skin to keep his body from coming apart.]
[Anomaly’s shadow is cast in several directions by the dim light of the windows. The shadow over Jeremy almost looks darker than any of the others.]
[Jeremy’s back is fully against the wall, but he still keeps leaning further back, as if he’s trying to push himself through it. Unfortunately for him, the wall remains solid, and Anomaly continues towards him as if E had said nothing. His footsteps land heavily, heavier than would make sense for his build.]
[E closes the distance between him and Anomaly swiftly, a ticking sound accompanies his approach. As he reaches Anomaly, he clasps his hand around his shoulder tightly. His muscles tense up, as if just touching Anomaly is painful. And maybe it is. Even then, he keeps his grip on his shoulder.]
[As soon as Anomaly processes E’s hand on his shoulder, his eyes widen once again, and he turns all of his attention to him. His immediate instinct is to swing around and smack E’s arm away from him. His expression shows anger, but his eyes don’t seem to match that feeling (I can’t properly place what it was, but it wasn’t anger).]
E: [Smiling slightly, his head tilted to the side.] There we fucking go. What happened to maturity? Ignoring someone while they’re talkin’ to you is pretty rude, hm?
[Anomaly breaks eye contact, looking away and closing his eyes, seeming to take a deep breath before speaking again. As he speaks, the scars seem to disappear. The stitching goes away with them, as if fading to match the skin.]
A: Ahaha, I hadn’t heard you… What were you saying?
E: [Lowering the volume of his voice.] Well, I think actions speak louder than words.
[In a flash, E pulls his fist back and punches Anomaly square in the chest. A look of pure glee spreading across his face as Anomaly stumbles backwards, winded, and coughing. He shakes his hand out, glancing at Jeremy.]
[Anomaly coughs up blood. His hand goes to his chest, now bleeding (… from a punch?) through his vest.]
A: You little…
[Anomaly lunges at E, fire in his eyes, and knocks E’s animalistic legs out from under him. Before he can get up, Anomaly places a foot on E’s back, forcing his ribcage into the ground painfully. The force Anomaly’s exerting on E’s back doesn’t seem to fit his figure, nor how casually he seems to stand. A small grin appears on Anomaly’s face.]
A: Quite cocky for a doormat, aren’t we?
[E reaches a hand out in front of him, fingers flexing, one eye squeezed shut. He opens his mouth to say something, but nothing comes out except a strangled, pained cry. Jeremy doesn’t miss the tears forming in his eyes.]
[Anomaly chuckles. His smile widens, and he places more pressure on E’s back. He hears a choking noise, desperate, louder. Anomaly’s laugh raises in volume as well. It feels like his voice is coming from everywhere. A wild smile spreads across his face, as if he’s wanted this for a very long time. But, as soon as he goes to place all of his weight on E…]
[Anomaly is flung to one side of the ballroom, splinters of wood and cushioning follow. Jeremy throws the remains of the chair to the pile that once was the chandelier, and immediately is at E’s side, quickly lowering into a kneel and offering his hand to help him up. His face is lined with incredible concern.]
Jeremy: I’m sorry I couldn’t do that sooner. I’m gonna fucking pay for that… Are you okay, did he break anything? If he did, I’ll find another chair, I’m fucked as it is.
[E lays there for a bit, shaking, before reaching out and grabbing Jeremy’s hand. He misses twice, before finally getting it right the third time. He slowly pushes himself up using Jeremy’s help. He makes eye contact with him, his expression having lost the monstrous rage from before. He looks at Jeremy with a genuine, heartfelt smile on his face.]
E: [He coughs a little throughout his sentence, holding an arm to his torso.] I… I don’t think anything is– is broken.
[He stares at Jeremy for a small while, before opening his mouth to speak again.]
E: … Thank you.
Jeremy: No problem, I wanted to do that anyway, honestly… Glad I could help, seriously.
E: [He laughs, but it comes out as more of a breath outwards.] I get that, yeah…
[He nearly doubles over, wincing.]
E: Fuckin– Jesus, I’m going to be feeling that for days, aren’t I.
Jeremy: Yeah, jesus… That was horrific, I’m… I’m so sorry you had to—
[Jeremy is roughly tackled by Anomaly, shoulders hitting the ground hard as the two slide across the floor, glass shards that were once on the ground cutting into Jeremy’s back. Anomaly, stitched and scarred, sits on his knees on top of Jeremy, left hand pinning him to the ground, right hand raising a very sharp, very cared for knife. Anomaly’s joyful yet angered expression is that of a mad man, smile spread wide with excitement. His eyes swirl shades of purple, burning themselves into Jeremy’s retinas as he can do nothing but look at the terror directly above him.]
[A clock rings.]
[Anomaly’s rabbit ears perk up at the sound (so they are attached to him? They hadn’t moved before…). His expression drops slightly, and the knife he was holding clatters to the ground. He turns to glance out the window, seeing the sun begin to rise. Anomaly’s expression shifts in a blink as he looks down at Jeremy.]
A: Saved by the bell…
[Anomaly’s head slowly turns to E, a smug expression on his face. His head gently tilts to one side, his voice warm and music-like, a sharp contrast to what he’s had the entirety of the encounter. He taunts E quietly.]
A: Your shift’s over…
[E, realizing what that means, tries to run over, instead collapsing onto the ground. He scrambles to get up again.]
E: Nonono wait! Shit– No!
[His expression, instead of being filled with anger at Anomaly, or something along those lines, it’s worried. He’s not even looking at Anomaly. His full attention on Jeremy. In his rush to stand, he ends up missing the floor, falling down again. Unfortunately, he lands directly on his chest, causing him to violently cough.]
[Standing up, Anomaly forcefully pulls Jeremy up from the ground, causing Jeremy to yelp in pain from the sudden movement and… the absolutely scalding feeling of Anomaly’s touch. Anomaly swings him into a fast spin, confusing Jeremy and making him stumble more than he ever did with E, forcing him to hold onto Anomaly’s forearms, his grip tight from the pain of his hands burning and the fear of letting go. As his feet leave the ground, Anomaly’s eyes light up, and he yanks Jeremy towards him, catching him in a dip as Jeremy lets go of his arms, their faces uncomfortably close in the pose. Jeremy tries to lean away, to entirely break away from Anomaly, but Anomaly shifts his hold on him, holding onto his shoulder with an arm crossing his back, and Jeremy then realises that’s basically the only thing supporting him in his position. One of his legs is still suspended in the air, while the other is barely holding any of his weight.]
[Anomaly leans up from the position, removing one arm from Jeremy, making Jeremy panic and cling to Anomaly’s shoulders to avoid falling. Anomaly glances back at E, and slowly waves.]
[Once Anomaly is finished gloating, Jeremy is pulled against him entirely. Jeremy screams as he makes contact with the burning hot figure, his eyes squeezing shut as he tries to avoid the sight of himself burning, tries to focus on anything but the sound, the feeling, the smell. It’s an ineffective strategy.]
[When Jeremy opens his eyes again, he’s in his bed, completely unharmed. His alarm on his phone is going off. He sits up, and slaps himself to check if he’s awake. And he is. Finally.]

Tumblr media
You noted down Dean’s coffee and snack order. “Got it, anything else?”
Dean shook his head. “That’s all for me. Thank you.” He shifted in his seat a little. “Are you sure I can’t buy this?”
You nodded. “I’ve got this, don’t worry. Levi pays me well and I wanna spend some money.”
“Sure.”
You pulled on your coat and waved. “See you in a bit.”
Dean grabbed his scarf and hat. “Wait!”
You stopped in the doorway of his office meaning everyone could see. “What’s up?”
He wrapped his scarf around your neck and put the hat on your head. “Keep warm. It’s cold out there.”
You nodded. “Got it, thank you.”
He pulled back with a slight blush when he recognised the stares and people whispering. “I uh…be careful it’s icy out there.”
“I will.”
He smiled a little. “Great, see you soon.” He watched you walk to the lift. “Hm.”
Layla walked over to Dean and smiled. “You two are cute together.”
“Wh-what?”
“You just click.”
He hummed. “Thanks, but she’s taken.”
Layla folded her arms. “Taken sums it up perfectly. Do you think she wants to be with our boss? Why do you think I was moved? It was so I would keep my mouth shut. He keeps her close for a reason. He gives her money and gifts so she turns a blind eye to his harsh ways. You’ve seen how he treats some people here.” She leaned closer. “All I’m going to say is, take a closer look at the bruises on her body when you see her again.”
Dean’s head flashed images of your bruised body, the bites and the exhaustion in your eyes. He frowned a little and felt a sinking feeling. “You think he’s really abusing her?”
“I was with him for years and he suddenly moves me away once he gets a girl that’s glued to his hip.”
Dean stared at Layla. “You…you have a point. Wait, don’t you have a crush on him?”
She laughed. “When did you ever see me flirt with him?” She knew she had him because she never showed her infatuation for Levi to others, people assumed she was very loyal to the job. In the long run, it worked well to avoid being obsessed with Levi in front of others. “I did my job, that’s it.”
Dean rubbed the back of his neck. “Why’s no one said anything?”
“Fear. You could lose your job if you do and Levi is a tough guy.” She walked past slowly. “He’s very strong.” She paused. “You’re best option is to keep her close and know she can escape him through you.”
Dean nodded. “I will try.”
You sang in the lift as you went up not knowing what Layla was plotting. You just wanted to go grab your boyfriend and drag him to the coffee shop. You skipped out of the lift towards Levi’s office. You shoved his door open and hung in a little. “Leviiiii.”
He flinched and looked up from his desk. His anger at someone interrupting him melted away when he saw you. He smiled and stood up. “Hello, my darling goddess. What can I do for you?”
You twirled inside. “Bear?”
He walked up to you and gripped your waist. “Bunny.” He kissed you. “Hello.”
You smiled. “I’m doing a coffee and lunch run for me and Dean.”
His eye twitched a little. “Right.”
You bit his bottom lip and pulled playfully. You giggled. “Wanna come with me? It’ll be a little date!”
Levi lifted you up and kissed you. “Of course, I’ll come with you.” He frowned a little as he looked at your hat and scarf. “What are these?”
“Oh, Dean let me borrow them as it’s cold outside.”
Levi pulled the hat off and scarf. “I have something better.” He put it on the side, grabbed a thick coat of his, and rested it over the arm of the chair. He helped you out of your coat and put you in his. “I will design you a coat.” He grabbed a scarf and hat and put them on you. “I want to keep you warm.”
You smiled. “Thanks! Oh, but what about Dean’s things.”
“We’ll hand them over to him when we get back.”
You stared at Levi as you slowly understood he was being jealous. “You’re cute when you’re jealous.”
His cheeks burned bright red. “I’m not…I…fine I was.” He let out a long sigh. “Look, I love you a lot, and I get a bit silly.” He pouted and turned his head to the side. “I’m sorry.”
You hugged Levi. “It’s okay.” You flopped your arms in the big coat. “Let’s get some yummy coffee!”
Levi yanked on another coat and held your hand. “Come on then. I’ll buy.”
You shook your head. “I’ve already said I’m buying.”
He walked with you towards the lift and saw people whispering and staring, there was a coldness in the air towards him and people looked sad at you. He frowned and pulled you closer and stood in the lift. “You ever get the feeling people are staring at you?”
You frowned. “Well, yeah. I mean, I model for you and I am dating you.”
He hummed in thought. “I suppose. I just have a bad feeling.”
You kissed his cheek. “Not everything is bad as you think, my love.”
“Mm.”
You walked out of the lift and walked down the road to the coffee place. You grabbed the snacks and ordered the drinks as Levi stood there with a dark look. You handed the money over to the cashier. “Thank you.” You turned to Levi and smiled at him. Your smile slowly faded as you stared at him. “What’s wrong?”
Levi clenched his jaw. “I think we should break up.”
You stared at Levi for a while. You hummed and looked at the people making your order. “So, about the fashion show, we’re going to in Italy. Do you know Italian?”
Levi was a little confused. “Uh, yes I do.”
“Really? That’s awesome, though I’m not surprised because you knew Greek.”
He said your name. “Did you hear what I said?”
You walked over to the counter and picked up your order. “Thank you.” You walked up to Levi. “Be a peach and help?”
He grabbed the drinks as you handled the food. He called your name again. “Did you hear me?”
You looked back at him. “Yeah, I heard you. You said you can speak Italian.”
He let out a long sigh and stood in the lift with you. “No, I meant about us breaking up.”
You hummed. “Oh, that part! Yeah, I heard you.”
“Well?”
You frowned. “You want me to respond?”
He nodded. “Of course. I’m thinking about breaking up.”
“You don’t mean that.”
“What do you mean I don’t mean it?”
You looked into his eyes. “I can see it in your eyes. You didn’t mean it.”
“Bunny.”
You let out a long sigh as you thought about what to say. “Look, bear, if you meant it then you wouldn’t be calling me bunny. If you meant it, you wouldn’t be so upset. You are panicking about people hating me, or that people think you’re a monster, or that you are mean to me, or that you’re possessive, or this and that.” You sighed. “Who gives a shit what others think. I love you and you love me, right?” You walked out of the lift and into Levi’s office. You put everything down on his coffee table. “Do you honestly, with all your heart, think we should break up?” You looked Levi in his eyes. “Do you really mean it? If you do, I will walk away right now. I will not come home and ask people to help me move out. I will only come to work to try on the underwear and I’ll give my reviews to someone else.”
He frowned. “We, won’t have any contact?”
You hugged yourself. “That’s right. I will cut ties as best as possible. I love you more than I’ve ever loved anymore before. If we were to break up, I wouldn’t be able to face you or be around you, I would have to keep away.” You let out a long sigh. “So, I ask again. Do you really care about what others are stupidly saying? Is it so important to you what others think of us as a couple? A man who flew to another fucking country to see a woman whom he claimed to be so beautiful. A man who fell for a woman who’d known for a week.” You walked closer. “A man who made a whole clothing line based on his girlfriend. Do you honestly want to give that away because people are whispering and staring?”
Levi welled up a little as he said your name. “I…”
You pulled off his coat and swapped it for your own. You put Dean’s scarf and hat back on and grabbed Dean’s food and drink. “I’ll come back later to see what you decide.” You walked up to him and kissed his cheek. “Bye Levi.” You walked out of his office and over to Jean. You placed the coffee and food down, along with Dean’s hat and scarf. “Jean? Could you take these to Dean for me? I’m heading home for a bit.”
Jean took it all. “Sure. I’ll head out now.”
You waited for him to leave before you started sobbing. You shook as your tears streamed down your cheeks. You felt your heart breaking and you couldn’t fix it. You felt your happiness was just slipping through your fingers. You loved Levi to death and there was a chance you were losing him. You said everything you needed to say, but it still hurt you badly.
You jumped at the door slamming open behind you. You turned to the door to see Levi with tears in his eyes. “Levi?”
Levi tackled you into a hug and clutched you tightly in his arms. “Don’t leave me. Don’t ever leave me!” He cried into the crook of your neck. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I just want to protect you. I’m confused and I’ve never been in love before. I just want to protect you so much. I love you.”
You hugged Levi back and started crying against his chest. “I don’t want to leave either. I love you so much. You’re my everything.”
Levi lifted you up and pulled you into his office. He slammed the door shut and locked it with one hand as he held you close with the other. He pulled you to the sofa as you both cried a little longer. Levi cradled you in the end and wiped the last of your tears away. He kissed you and sighed. “I’m sorry.”
You rubbed your tears and sniffed. “Don’t be sorry. You are trying to do what’s best for us both.” You laughed a little. “It was a stupid idea you had, but I don’t blame you for trying.”
He blushed bright red. “I just…I had an idea and it sucked, I know. God, it really fucking sucked. What the fuck was I thinking? I love you so much and you’re my everything. Hell, a week ago I got so jealous about Dean that we rough fucked.” He pressed his face against your boobs. “I was so possessive and rough. I’m sorry.”
“I wanted it and I liked it.”
He whined. “I know, but I still feel terrible.”
You played with Levi’s hair. “It’s okay.”
“I just love you so much. I’m confused and don’t know what to do.” He sniffed back tears. “There’s so much I want to give you and do for you, but I just fuck it all up.”
You hummed in thought. “How about we just focus on each other? We’ll not care about anyone else about ourselves and our love.”
He nodded. “Yes.”
“Oh, and our nice parents.”
“Yes.”
You hummed a little laugh. “Maybe we should go home. We can have our lunch stuff first and then go.”
He lifted his head. “I don’t want to let you go.”
“I know, but I’m hungry and our drinks are getting cold.”
“Okay.”
You leaned over and grabbed the drinks. “Here you go.”
Levi took his drink and sipped. “It’s only a bit warm.”
“Well, we were being very dramatic together, so it’s our fault.” You laughed and rubbed your eyes and sniffed a little. “I’m tired.”
“Can I ask you something?”
You nodded. “Yeah.”
He sipped his tea. “How come you were so calm?”
You blushed. “Huh?”
He sighed. “Well, you seemed so at ease and relaxed when I suggested breaking up. You didn’t cry until you left me.”
You nibbled your lip. “Well, I’m so used to things not going my way and losing everything, so I don’t want to fight and lose over and over all the time. I get mentally tired of it. I also didn’t want you to make your mind up because you saw me crying. If you saw me crying, you probably would be nicer to me and just say we’ll stay together just because I’m crying.”
“So, you wanted to cry?”
You laughed and let tears fall. “Yes. I love you so much and you are the only man who has ever made me feel lovable, sexy, fun, smart and just wonderful. You make me feel so good about myself and you don’t ever ask me to change. You love me for me. I was terrified of losing that and I am scared of losing you, but at the same time I want you to be happy.” You looked Levi in the eyes. “Your happiness means more to me than anything in this world. If your happiness is not with me, then I’ll help you get away from me.”
He placed his hand on the inside of your thigh. “My happiness is you.”
You smiled. “Why did you think breaking up was a good idea? Was it because you thought it’d save me?”
He pulled a face in thought. “Yeah, you’re right. I’m famous in a sense and being with me means people will see you more and judge a lot. I hate people thinking horrible things about you.” He frowned a little. “It’s also a possibility that people are saying terrible things about me that I’m cruel and abusive. I don’t want people to bother you and try and play the hero. I just have this terrible feeling.”
You picked up the food bag and gave Levi his treat. “Well, we’ll ignore everyone. I am almost done with Dean. I’m finalising the outfit with him soon and then it’ll be made.”
Levi smiled. “You’re so sweet.”
You kissed the end of Levi’s nose. “Are you okay with me going to see Dean? I just want to approve the work.”
“Of course. I’ll be right here.”
You kissed him and jumped off his lap. “I’ll be back, I promise.”
He smiled sadly. “Okay.”
“I promise. I love you.”
“Love you too.”
You slipped out of his office and went to the lift. You road it to Dean’s floor and leaned into his office as he worked. “Dean?”
Dean looked over at you with wide eyes. He shot to his feet and said your name. “Are you okay!? What happened?”
You walked in and sat down. “Levi and I had an emotional moment.”
He walked up to you. “Did he hurt you!?”
You shook your head. “No.”
“You can talk to me.”
You laughed. “Dean, he would never lay a harmful finger on me. He loves me and I love him.”
“Are you sure?”
You nodded. “Yeah.”
He pointed at your neck. “But those bruises.”
You blushed. “Love bites. I really like getting them and I like playful bites, it’s a kink of mine.” You leaned back in your chair. “Why, has someone said something?”
He nodded. “I won’t lie to you. Someone suggested that Levi is too possessive and is a little abusive.”
You laughed a bit. “I mean, he is possessive but he’s not abusive. He protects me a lot. I would say he’s like a worshipper of me.”
“Really?”
You nodded and hummed in agreement. “He adores me so much. It’s very sweet.” You shrugged. “I guess people could interpret his actions as possessive, but I don’t feel in any danger. I don’t need saving. He is my world and I love being with him.”
Dean stared at you and weighed your words. He dropped into his chair and sat back. “Okay.” He smiled. “Okay. If you say you are safe and happy, then I will support you.”
“Thank you.”
He smiled at you. “I’m glad you’re okay. So, did you and Levi fight?”
You shook your head as your heart stung. “No, it wasn’t a fight. He suggested we break up.”
Dean rolled his chair closer and held your hands. “I’m so sorry.”
You held Dean’s hands. “We’re not, but it was close. He cares so much about me that he thought breaking up would mean I would be left alone by others. He wants nothing for the best for me, but being apart from him would upset and break me.” You welled up. “Sorry.” You rubbed your tears away and laughed. “I’m getting so emotional again. Uh, we talked and agreed we want to be together. It was one of those situations where two people want to be together, but they want to protect the other because they love each other so much.”
Dean chuckled. “I understand. You’re two people who love strongly. You both go all in.”
You nodded. “Exactly.”
“Selfless too.” He chuckled. “You’re both a right sweet pair.”
You blushed a little. “I guess so.” You gasped. “Oh! I came here to review the outfit and approve.”
He showed you the outfit. “What do you think?”
You clapped your hands. “I love it! I just need to make it.”
He raised a brow. “Do you know how to sew?”
“I do, but not whole outfits but basic things.”
He smiled. “You really want to make this for him?”
“Please.”
Dean hummed. “Alright. I will make some instructions and send you the materials. I’m guessing you’ll be borrowing Levi’s office at home.”
“Yup.”
“Well, I wish you all the best with it. If you need any help at all, give me a call.”
“I will.” You stood up and opened your arms. “Hug?”
He shot up and hugged you, your body was engulfed by his own. “Good luck.”
You walked out his door and waved. “See you soon!”
You hurried into the lift and pulled your phone out to see a text from Dean about the outfit and confirming things slowly. You smiled and thanked him. You couldn’t wait to make Levi’s outfit. You were going to work your ass off and didn’t care how long it was going to take you. You wanted his outfit to look nice.
You put your phone away and smiled as the lift doors opened and Levi stood there. “Levi.”
Levi blushed hard. “I ah…I…I wasn’t waiting for you in front of the lift…”
You jumped into his arms. “You are adorable!”
He squeezed you. “I missed you.”
“Missed you too.”
He carried you to his office. “Did you do what you needed to do?”
You nodded as you looked down at Levi. “I did.”
“Good.”
You covered his face in kisses. “Can we go home?”
He nodded and put you down. “Yes, let me just finish up and we’ll go.”
You bounced around his office as he worked. Levi finished up and you both travelled home. You both got into your more comfy clothes and did your own things to settle down. You wrapped up in a blanket after a while. You shuffled around the penthouse and eventually moved into Levi’s office as he worked a bit.
Levi smiled softly as he felt your stare. He looked over at you. “Hello, my cuddly bunny.”
You shuffled over to him. “You still working?”
He nodded. “I’m just finishing some emails.” He reached over and grabbed your bum. “What about you?”
You hummed. “I got cold, so I wrapped up in a blanket.”
He turned his chair, parted his legs and pulled you close. “You look adorable.”
You smiled at him. “So, I’m making your clothes.”
Levi massaged your hips. “Really?” He lit up in delight. “You’re really making it for me?”
You nodded and blushed. “But.”
“But?”
You pulled the blanket around and hid your face. “I might not be the best, so umm…”
Levi hummed a laugh. “You know, we could work together.” Levi laughed as you whined and dropped to your knees before flopping onto your side. “Look at you, you little cutie.”
You curled up. “I am a blushing burrito.”
Levi got off his chair and crawled over. He lay on his side and propped up his head. “May I see this blushing burrito?”
“No.”
He reached over and pulled the blanket open a little to see your face. “Look at how cute you are.”
You pouted at him. “I’m not cute. I’m deadly. You touch me, I bite.”
He shuffled closer to you. “That so.”
“No touch. Hands stay away.”
He smiled. “No hands?”
“No hands.”
He purred and kissed you. “You didn’t say no to lips.”
You blushed. “You’re sly.”
“I am.” He moved right up to you. “Would this burrito let this meat in?”
You hummed in thought. “I dunno if sausages are allowed. Is it tamed?”
He blushed a little and nodded. “Yes.”
You opened your blanket up. “Come.”
Levi moved and hugged you tightly. He sighed in contentment at being warm and against your body. He inhaled deeply. “You smell good.”
You nuzzled the crook of his neck. “So do you.”
“Thank you.” He played with your hair as he lay with you. “I’m sorry about how emotional today has been.”
“It’s okay. I think it all needed to be said.”
He sighed. “I guess you’re right. It’s better to get everything out in the open sooner rather than later.”
You shuffled back a little so you could look him in the eyes. “I’m glad we had the talk.”
“I guess I am too.” He smiled a little. “Everything has been aired out and I think it’s all good between us.”
You nibbled your lip. “Well, there is one thing.”
“What is it?”
You blushed. “Kids.”
Levi blushed as well. “Kids?”
You nodded and avoided Levi’s gaze. “Do you want children?”
He gripped your waist. “I’ll be honest. I am worried about having kids because I didn’t have a father figure in my life, so I don’t know how to be a dad, but then again no one knows how to be a parent.” He let out a long sigh. “Everyone is always learning and my mother was so alone with me and she had to learn and change all the time.”
You smiled a little. “She sounds amazing.”
“She is.” He smiled. “This isn’t about her, it’s about us and kids. Look, I am worried and a little scared. However, I know that if I’m with you, anything is possible.” He chuckled as he felt love in his heart. “I know we’ll make great babies together. Our children will be so beautiful and cute. Our little babies will be so well behaved, loving and kind.” He laughed with you. “They’ll be wonderful. So, do you want kids?”
You blushed hard and nodded. “I would like them, yes.”
He leaned close to your lips. “Do you want them with me?”
You kissed him softly. “Yes. Oh, but not yet. Le-let’s be a couple for a while.”
Levi chuckled. “Of course, but if we get a surprise baby?”
“I’d love them.”
“Me too.” He kissed you. “Just putting it out there because you know what we’re like.”
You laughed. “Yes, you’re right.” You sat up and hummed. “So, you’re helping me with your outfit then?”
“Yes.”
You pouted at him in thought. “Italy soon.”
Levi lay on his back and sighed. “Three days.”
You crawled over and straddled him. “Thank you for making me a dress.”
Levi smiled. “You’re welcome.”
You leaned over him and hid you both with a blanket. You played with his hair and kissed him. “I love you.”
“I love you too.”
“I really love you.”
Levi grabbed you and rolled over onto you. He pressed his pelvis against yours and moaned. “I love you deeply.” He covered your face in soft and slow kisses. He moved his hips against yours. “How are you feeling, my love?”
You blushed a little as you thought about Levi making love to you. “I’m feeling good.”
“Not too tired?”
You held his shirt and pulled him close. “Not at all. So, make love to me.”
He smiled against your lips. “Happily. It’ll be slow, sensual and long. So, be prepared to be in here for a while.”
“I’m ready.”

a Chemical Reaction
Tumblr media
Veiny hands touch my unwelcoming skin, I twitch and cringe at his touch. I beg of his consuming touch when the weight of his body overpowers mine. His years remind me I’m not the first, something tells me I’m not the last. Was I the one to tell him that? I kept it all in a safe, on hold for years, held, just for me to give the beauty I believed in to someone who made me feel like it never existed. How am I to trust him for his words, did his eyes change once he heard my words. It sought after me in places I went, and my eyes were always glued to the level below, never would I dare to look too long into the eyes of a he. I felt their eyes lingering on me when I pass them. Just for a he out of nowhere to take my safekeepings from me. He never took it. I gave it. I gave it not even wrapped in pretty wrapping paper with a ribbon tied around it, I handed it to his hands in a rush.
How could I be so stupid? I would think sometimes. But was it really stupidity that brought me to sit on his couch, or was it all the emptiness I felt inside. I sought for excitement to find me, and find it did. It walked into my life with steady feet that had been in the kitchen all the while I was in my room, dreading the sight. The sight dreaded mine as well apparently. I never felt hate towards him, but knowing how he felt towards me before we ever got to speak made me hate him. I hate him for how he made me feel, and for him thinking he had the right to feel as he felt towards me when I had done him nothing wrong. I hate him for turning my dread of his sight into lust for his touch, from turning my hate into never being able to hate him. I hate him for invading my track of thoughts when I thought they had gotten on a right track.
I hate sitting in this room feeling inside what I thought he would never make me feel, with him sitting just a meter away on his laptop, hitting the keys in rhythm with me. I hate when he says he loves me. I don’t know where his love came from, did something in my presence trigger a chemical reaction in his mind, as he loves to call it. If all of this truly is a chemical reaction, I beg for it to not be so toxic. I might’ve not giving him everything, even though it feels that way. Maybe what I gave him which I shouldn’t have, wasn’t what he could watch with his eyes, or feel with his hands. The time I lost on defending words he never believed. The big space I made for him in my mind, and me effortlessly pushing everything else out of my mindframe. How could I give up something so precious, something people always say to never take for granted. Time after time, I mistreat the clock.
If I am his punishment, then what is he to me? Answer me this, why do I feel like I am being punished too, when my blindness tells me I have nothing to be punished for. Will I end up hurting more than he? Words I have heard him utter from the same lips he has kissed my skin with, still live in places in my body. Looks in his eyes that tell me more than his tongue, they cut to my core. I choose to ignore, because I have no fight left in me. Probably, if I asked I would know a newer truth, new faces and new images will live in my mind, that’s why I don’t ask, there’s a truth I don’t wish to know. I have no space in my mind for more strangers to occupy. Not sure I could handle it. I know there are plenty of reasons, and I know why it’s wrong, he will not know the same as me, because his eyes see a completely different world than mine. How can two people in the same presence, wear eyes with such different perceptions? Why do I ignore the truth? It’s staring right into my eyes, but I wish to be blind. I want to blame him, I wish I could blame him. The blame is on me. How is it fair for this truth to blame me? I don’t know what to do. In the end will his punishment, be the death of me.
