i’m very excited for Elijah to get to v2! v1 isn’t suuuuper action or plot heavy just because it’s introducing everyone still but v2 has some great fights and we get a better look at what the villains are up to. shit gets real and i think Elijah is going to be into that. not to mention Blake really shines in v2 and i know she’ll love that lol

so i have the privilege of being subbed to her patreon so i just got to see her v1 finale reaction today and let me tell you, i'm even MORE excited to see her get to v2 than ever before now!!! like omg we're all in for a treat when she uploads to youtube (i'm going to assume monday morning bc that's what it's been the past few episodes)

but hell yeah v2 (and beyond, everyone who has seen rwby is just eagerly awaiting the emotional torture elijah is going to face with the final few v3 episodes) is going to be fucking DOPE. like she's gonna have so much fun with the food fight. and then obviously getting more involved with like, yeah our villian plots and everything bc she's a VERY insightful viewer and REALLY hones in on the details and hints that crwby likes to scatter throughout

sometimes being the director of the buddy cole documentary is an emotional rollercoaster for reasons entirely unrelated to actual controversy with the character

basically. this morning paramount took down the comedy central website and made every link redirect to paramount plus (which i do not have). previously you could find clips from every time buddy cole was a correspondent on the colbert report for free on the comedy central website, but not only are those free clips no longer up, paramount plus doesn't even have the colbert report.

so even if this craven attempt to get people to pay ransom subscribe to their streaming service worked, they didn't even take the clips with them!!!

so i was in mourning for a solid few hours this morning bc like if i'd known this was going to happen i would have at least screen-recorded each of the segments even if it meant the audio sync was a little off. but i had no idea this was going to happen and now yet another piece of buddy cole media was lost forever. and i'm used to having gaps in my timeline. stuff like scottland and the lowest show i've only been able to watch bc bellini happened to have a dvd he could digitize. and stuff like the buddy cole funny or die clips, out on the edge, and the ctv royal wedding special i may never see. but when something like this happens in real time after i've already dedicated myself to preserving and documenting the works of buddy cole, it really stings

i know i shouldn't feel like i somehow "failed buddy" for not preserving these episodes. i had no idea comedy central's parent company was going to throw out so much of their content, we're just in a literal hellscape with regards to how corporations value art. but i can't help but feel a little protective of buddy - not protective in terms of controversy, per se, controversy is a natural reaction to everything scott does with buddy cole and i don't always have to agree with everything the character stands for. i've already gotten a taste of being in my own buddy cole controversy, and it was horrible but it also felt like this is what's supposed to happen because we're now able to have this conversation. but being completely forgotten? that doesn't feel natural one bit even though it keeps happening to so much of this character's timeline.

anyway, i pasted the links into the wayback machine and even tho it could load the interface it couldn't load the videos. i found a record of each episode on the internet archive but they're all chopped into 1-2 minute clips, there's an option to "borrow" full episodes and have them mail you a flashdrive but i have no idea how that works and if i'd then be allowed to copy the episodes onto my own computer. i eventually found the colbert report is still available to purchase on itunes for $1.99 per episode - i'd need four specific episodes so that would be more like $8, which isn't too bad, but still stings just on principle. plus, what if that iTunes interface goes down someday? the only colbert report dvds are "best of" and even if i think buddy cole is the best part of anything he's in, the people making the dvds probably don't.

actually caved and decided to give bsd another shot after watching my mutuals posting abt it so much. bc it looks fun actually let me innnnnnn!!!! so last night I binge read the first 15 chapters then watched up to episode 8 in the ani.. gonna try to finish the first season today :3c then go back to reading. wiki says my favorite special little guy doesn't show up until chapter 57 -_- but I would wait for him forever. in the mean time I am preoccupied with how dazai is animated like a beautiful horse. I hate him (insert 200 heart emojis here)

I'm not even halfway through the episode but like what do people think of Oshi no Ko, my classmate recommended it to me and they aren't aware of my very judgemental thoughts and this blog and they appear to really like it but I kinda think the anime is weird. i didn't know she was on htgawm????? slay. i knew her from. oh god. that shitty "romcom" i think it's a netflix original where the guy is gay but convinced his soulamte is this girl he met at a library so he dates her and doesn't tell her he's gay. and then of course she finds out and she's like oh that's why this relationship has been awful. but the thing is they're best friends and they ARE soulmates just not in that way. and it's not very good but it's not the worst movie i've ever seen and this is not a recommendation but. well we love katie... anyway to answer your question. i don't know if her character is suppossed to be mixed or white. could be anything really. i assume if she is then the character also is but the character could really be whatever i don't think she's a character who's race plays into their role the way some other character's in the show do.

Man I really hadn't gotten as far in the manga as I thought. I just finished ep 267 of shippuden and it's gearing up for the Gaara vs his dad fight, which I remember being where I dropped off in the manga. Bc I'd been keeping up with new chapters for a while, but with all the war talk... idk it just didn't capture 14 year old me that much. So I stopped keeping up.

Now, though. I find all the war tactics interesting hfkshdk it has me wanting to play a fire emblem game again. Hmmmmmm
