So I decided to make an analysis about the last scene of Infinite Darkness
But before I start with the fun part, I just want to tell you that my history with “angst ships”
I had a bad experience with another ship, soul mates full of angst tropes and true love, beautiful... and a really bad ending because the showrunner fought with the actors (I wasted years watching and I regret it).
Anyway, after suffering that kind of pain, no other ships and angst scenes can hit me hard enough. I'm numb or just got used to it. You choose.
So maybe the scene of Leon and Claire's argument wasn't that impactful for me because of that. But for all the fans who felt hurt, I understand and it's okay to feel that way, because the scene was meant to hurt. The scene exists because of that. And your feelings are valid.
So let's get to the fun part.
spoiler alert, it's not that fun, it actually hurts 😅
The scene starts with Leon going to meet Claire at the gates of the White House.
I don't think anyone denies the fact that, whatever Leon is doing, he just wants to protect Claire. And he doesn't want her involved because of it.
But this dialogue makes this even more evident if we analyze how it begins.
Nothing in a show or movie is by accident. Everything is handpicked for one reason or another. The meaning is not always that deep, but there is still a meaning behind it all.
So when – of all the ways a conversation can be started – they decide to make Claire joke that she sneaked out of the hospital, Leon takes it seriously and she has to clarify that it's a joke, there's a reason:
Tumblr media
Show that Leon is taking what happened to her too serious, and Claire not that much.
When Claire makes a comment about when he's going to stop treating her like a kid and he says probably never. There's a reason:
Tumblr media
Show that Leon wants to protect her (or being overprotective) and Claire doesn't like it.
Of course, some might argue that this specific line is capcom trying to show that their feelings aren't romantic and sink the ship completely. And, ok, people are free to think that.
But if they really wanted to sink cleon forever, they shouldn't have done the scene of Leon saving Claire the way they did. They did it because they knew it would tease a certain part of the fans... They knew exactly what they were doing...
And there's simply no reason to tease a ship you want to sink.
So no, I don't think that's it...
For me the scene means the classic and simple: "stop being worried about me🙄" "noooo🗣️"
Another way to intensify Leon being overprotective is Claire's broken arm. A reminder that she was injured following his plan. Just as she was hurt the last time they saw each other in Harvardville.
And yes, I know Degeneration made Claire hurt to take her out of the action. It is undeniable. But somehow I don't think the same situation and reason applies to Infinite darkness.
Because Claire was already out of combat, following Leon's plan and showing no intention of doing anything different. It's not like she's going to attack the monster that is several platforms higher than where she is. She couldn't fly around and there were no guns where she was anyway.
So why hurt her to get her out of combat if the story itself has already done that?
Again, you are free to think differently. Capcom made Claire dirty, she was underestimated and they wasted her potential. I won't argue with that, I'm also on the team Claire deserves better.
I just don't think it fits this specific situation.
The injured arm is there and a awkward conversation about Leon being overprotective starts because of it. I think it makes sense.
So moving on.
Claire mentions the chip and Leon looks disappointed for a moment and says he thought they were going to dinner.
This is to indicate that he didn't come to see her with the intention of breaking their friendship. Leon just wanted to spend a good time with her and nothing more. Some place a little more normal, maybe?👀
But Claire wants the chip and tells Leon her plan. The same plan that Shen May was killed trying to convince her partner to follow. Is there a parallel here?
The only difference is that Jason broke her neck while Leon decided to break Claire's heart.
Okay now I could show more parallels between them, but I won't because this is already too long and I know maybe I'm reading too much into this. Resident Evil isn't that deep most of the time 😂
Anyway, Claire asked for the chip and Leon said no.
And that's the point, right.
The climax of the conversation and the turning point in their relationship.
Tumblr media
Note that Leon took a few seconds to say he couldn't. That was the moment when he made his decision...
He went to meet her for dinner, remember? He didn't expect to have this conversation or make a decision like that. But he had to.
Now, I'm not from the US and I don't trust politicians in general, fiction or not. But I admit this sounds realistic.
Just imagine if the president makes a speech about peace and prosperity and whatever and the next day the media reveals that members of the government are involved in BOW and planning an attack on another country.
At the very least, it won't look good.
In the worst case, it will be a catastrophe 😂
So... I don't agree with Leon, but I understand why he chose this.
It's an important decision, however. And how long it takes him to say something and how he's quiet after saying it shows he knows what's on the line. Not just the security of the country and “peace”, but also his relationship with Claire.
And despite everything... He didn't lie to her.
It would be much easier for Leon to simply say "the chip was destroyed in the fight" when she asked. Claire would never know about it and probably never doubt him. And they would still be fine with each other and having dinner.
But he didn't lie. Why?
Because their relationship is not based on lies. And it's not based on betrayals.
And while it may be hard to believe right now and it hurts to think about it, this relationship is still based on truth and trust in each other. And now their relationship is being tested.
It's easy to trust someone you're on good terms. How hard it must be to trust someone who has let you down.
There is a lot of room for development here.
Tumblr media
Obviously Claire felt hurt in this moment. Maybe even betrayed. Heartbroken. I think we all feel that same way.
But Leon played fair there. He said he had the chip, showed it to her, and then said he wouldn't give it to her.
He was honest with her. And this act also shows respect.
They are two people with different points of view and that truth hurts.
There is silence as they look at each other. She never asked his reasons and he obviously never told them. The exchange of glances is enough for them to understand what was happening.
When Claire says “you do things your way and I do mine” it's almost like “do you know what that means? ”
Then Leon nods and another moment of silence. The time they need to accept that the relationship is broken.
Now that's angst
Tumblr media
Interesting choice of camera angle. Showing her broken arm as a visual reminder of why he was pushing her away like that.
Claire leaves, but looks back and says again that his outfit doesn't suit him.
What's interesting here is that the director has done a few interviews over the past few weeks and he always said that the suit is a representation of Leon's position in government.
Tumblr media
Claire commenting that it doesn't suit him is basically the writers/producers/directors admitting that this position doesn't look good.
And while all the characters praising Leon for his success, Claire is the one who sees this reality and who he truly is out of the suit (position)
And that's good angst.
Claire walks away and Leon with a sad look watching her leave and he has to say to himself "I will stop this".
Tumblr media
Could it be just one of his one-lines? Yes.
Could it be a way for him to remind himself why he's doing this, even if it means sacrificing his relationship with Claire?
It's already done, now he has to make it worth it.
Whatever happens after that is a mystery.
I don't think Claire believes that Leon is going to cover up the government's involvement in things (their discussion would be much more intense if that were the case), she probably thinks he's going to resolve it internally without taking anything public, which is precisely what she wants to do.
I also don't think Leon believes Claire is going to give up on the investigation, he probably thinks it's going to take some time to her to get real evidence and he has time to carry out his plans.
But this is capcom... They are masters of forgetting plot points. So who knows.
Angst is only good if it has a good closure. I hope they keep that in mind.
In any other tv show that used this kind of angst trope and drama I would be completely fine...
I would expect a sequel to this plot. The characters find each other unexpectedly, having to work together and acting awkwardly because they don't know how to stick around each other after the argument. Then the story would develop and they would gradually mend their relationship.
That's the trope.
So that's all I can hope for.

Reacting to Hudson's M! S/O | Safehouse Crew Headcanons
A/N: This was requested by anon for how the safehouse crew would react to Hudson's male S/O!! I'm not very used to writing for male readers, so I hope I did good on this. Hope you enjoy <3
Warnings: Some strong language, pure fluff
Tumblr media
Alex Mason
- His reaction, albeit pretty similar to Woods, is less obvious. He'll looks pretty indifferent to the whole thing (besides the jokes), but inwardly he's like "The fuck?"
- Although he tends to have a sunnier disposition towards Hudson than most others, it still shocks him to see someone fall in love with him. I mean, he personally is pretty okay with him but this?
- He never thought he'd see the day Hudson went soft for someone.
- Even though Hudson isn't the most, well, likable of people, Mason is silently happy for the two of you. Love is a hard thing to find, and it's nice that a hardheaded bastard such as Hudson is able to find it all the same.
- Outwardly, though, he acts more like Woods. He pokes fun at him all the time, teasing him about how much of a romantic he is, and the 180 his personality did when he started dating you.
Russell Adler
- Finally. Would be his first thought. Finally, something else other than the CIA for Hudson to occupy himself with.
- He's really not that surprised to see Hudson with someone, to be completely honest. I mean, if an asshole like himself was married once, literally anyone could find a relationship.
- Adler is just glad that Hudson has finally pulled the pole shoved up his ass out a little, and lightened up. He was certain he was about to kill Hudson with how much he had been hovering over his work.
- He even smiles a little when he sees little subtle displays of PDA between the two of you, the type that no one would notice (Except Adler himself, of course, he's become rather observant).
- "So, how'd you manage to get Ice Cube over there wrapped around your finger?" He'll joke with you.
- Surprisingly enough, Adler would be the most supportive of your relationship, mostly because it gets Hudson off of his back.
Helen Park, Eleazar "Lazar" Azoulay, Lawrence Sims
- Hope you don't mind me including these three all in the same one but I feel like they'd all have similar reactions.
- Same as Adler, they'd all likewise be like "Thank fuck." because that means he'll leave them alone. Lord knows this man needed to get laid with how uptight he is.
- Otherwise, they wouldn't really talk about it or poke fun at Hudson at all because they're not as close to him (or at the very least, haven't known him as long) as Adler, Woods, and Mason
- "So, what do you see in Hudson?" Lazar will ask, not in a mean way, he's just genuinely curious and is the 2nd most supportive of your relationship. (He's a hopeless romantic at heart!)
- He likes hearing people talk about their partners, he thinks it can tell a lot about a person. Besides, Hudson wouldn't really answer the question, he wants to keep your relationship lowkey.
Jason Hudson
- Oh God. He hasn't felt this way in so long.
- It's just so nice to have someone love him for who he is, no one has ever treated him with kindness. Given, he is a bit of a cold, hard-ass to almost everyone, but that doesn't mean he didn't crave love.
- Someone finally took the time to actually get to know him below the surface, and see him for who he actually is.
- A romantic at heart.
- Not only does someone love him for who he is, you also happen to be the man of his dreams!!
- God, how did I get so lucky? He'll think to himself.
- As I said before, his personality does a complete 180. He doesn't bark orders at people, he's generally more patient and less prone to lying in order to get the job done.
- Hell, this man has so much patience when it comes to you too. I also feel like in a relationship, this man would rarely, if ever, raise his voice.
- Hudson being in a relationship isn't just good for him and you, it's good for everyone.

How Shadow and Bones Differentiate Villain and Anti-Hero
Alright, first I need to claim the fact that I love dark, edgy, but misunderstood bad boy in stories with the potential of epic redemption. Loki from Marvel. Jason Todd from DC. Captain Hook from Once Upon a Time. Zuko from AtLA. You name them, I simp them.
So when I watched this new show on Netflix and shown a tall, handsome man in dark clothing, both respected and feared for his power. I feel... nothing.
WHICH IS WEIRD! Like... he’s obviously my type. Complete with the sad backstory and vicious streak. So I kept wondering why I wasn’t enamored by the Darkling, Alexander Kirigan. I wasn’t surprised he was the main villain, I even expected it. But I usually at least have a bit of sympathy for them. This OOC behavior of mine made me introspect myself and the show, trying to find out which part gave me the red flags before Mother Darkling decides to pop the chosen one out halfway in the season.
That’s when it hit me; there were red flags! The show had been subtly trying to tell us Kirigan is a manipulative boyfriend not just by great acting and good directing, but by comparing him with the actual anti-hero of the story who I actually love; Kaz Brekker.
Here’s the list of signs you might not notice of why Kirigan is meant to be a Villain instead of an Anti-Hero.
1. The Eyes
"The eyes are the window to the soul" is a common saying and and the key to good acting for any good show. Eyes tell us a lot about what a person’s character is like and SaB showed us the difference of a sincere man and a man with a hidden agenda.
Tumblr media
Look at him! Look at that little smirk. Look at the gaze. That's the look you find when someone's evil little plan is finally coming together. Not one awed by the power or by Alina. A blatant sus move is what I'm saying. Congrat, first flag planted.
Sure he could still fall in love with Alina, but that doesn't stop his agenda either. All it does is potentially create conflict for him to pick either his plan for revenge or life with Alina.
Tumblr media
In comparison, look at Kaz when he said this to Inej; "She isn't like you, no one is." Straightforward eyes. Serious grim. No nonsense tone. Inej is one of the most talented and terrifying rogue-assassin and Kaz just blatantly said that he kept her from 'slavery' because of who she is, not what she's capable of. Like... the man has no shame being known to love her while still trying to be professional (or as professional a thief can be). I can respect that.
This is the eye of a man who would abandon everything to make sure she comes out alright in the end. Do not argue with me on this!
2. Leverage and Status
The moment Alina steps into the Little Palace she was treated like a princess. A palace, by the way, that’s managed by the Darkling. She gets favorable treatment; from the food, Zoya displaced when she fought Alina, a horseback ride just the two of them, asking her to call by his name to make them familiar, a black uniform that might as well be claiming???
Tumblr media
Dude is desperate is what I’m saying.
Sure, this could all be romantic gestures. There’s the problem that Kirigan is superior in status and name, powerful Grisha, and has a vested interest in her power. Pursuing romance while Kirigan has the ability to make her life heaven or hell with a snap of his finger made every single decision be seen with wariness.
"Beware of powerful men," Genya couldn't put it any better.
Had they pursued romance after they destroy the fold, cementing Alina’s position as a saint more. Then I might have let go of that wariness.
I’m only proven correct when the moment Alina turned away from him, Kirigan made another leverage by (spoiler!) putting an antler to her collarbone... eeeewwww much?!
That’s how desperate the Darkling is to be in control of a person and a situation.
And when no letter came for Alina? That a big red flag because who else in this castle can control the coming of going of letter with the Savior. HMMMMMMMMMMM.....
Then there’s Kaz. My man. There’s no competition. This guy held no leverage on my dear Inej. When she almost decided to leave, Kaz didn't force or convince her to stay but he ask her. Doesn't remind her of her debt whether monetary or life debt to him. In fact, this guy needs money for revenge but instead mortgage his main source of income for her freedom.
Tumblr media
HE POSTPONED HIS LIFE GOAL TO FREE HER FROM DEBT ASJHAKFSDJGLDFJ!!!
What more do I need to say?
3. Sympathy Card
This is the type of point you want to watch out from your partners, ladies, gents, and others. The sympathy card is the way to go when anyone wants to reach out to you so you can take care of them before they abuse or gaslight you.
While it’s good to share trauma and eased the burden, sometimes it's healthy to ask yourself whether the person can take advantage of you and to verify whether they lie to you or not.
When Kirigan shared about his past as a sympathetic boy with his secluded fountain and coin. Everything about that scene rang warning bells for me... the part he had requested her to use his color... requesting to horse ride with just them two... sharing sob story that may encourage Alina to help him...
Kudos to Alina to see through the fact she's seen as a means to an end.
It was only when Kirigan showed righteous anger and frustration of a war that's killing his people did Alina finally opened her heart to him.
Tumblr media
Kaz however doesn't use the sympathy card. Heck, the man likes to believe he shed away any weakness and threw it in the harbor where it belongs. Kaz hates weaknesses. And garnering sympathy is an admission of weakness for him.
We still know there's a tragic backstory as any decent anti-hero would have... but by not sharing that, this implies that Inej and Jesper stayed because of who he is, and not because of who he was or how he came to be. They don't need a sob story to stay together and that showed a stronger bond between them.
Tumblr media
4. Friends
To be frank, I find this the most hilarious because this point is the one that convinced me that Kirigan was secretly an evil bastard.
He doesn’t have any friends!!!
Like... dude had a literal witch army, a wife once, a fuck buddy, and a girlfriend but there wasn’t a single moment in the show where someone, outside of Alina and superior, to speak casually to him.
You’re telling me this person... the most powerful and influential Grisha in the East Ravka, charming as hell, handsome as fuck, and yet he doesn’t have friends?!
“I’ve buried good soldiers... friends...” Get the fuck out of here! WHAT FRIENDS?!?! Maybe if you get off your little power trip from your self-made pedestal, you can actually be less of an asshole and make one.
Sure he excused himself by blaming his ‘ancestor’ for being a shadow summoner. I can see how the fear makes it hard for him to get close to anybody. But all the other characters who are part of his army only ever shown to speak with him respectfully, and the royalty even commend him. No one disrespected him even openly and you’re telling me he doesn’t have one friend amidst all these people?!
In comparison, look at Kaz. He’s brash, crude, and unapologetic. He held true to his moniker ‘Bastard of the Barrel’ and yet this ass has friends. They show Jesper joking with Kaz, and Kaz has shown to banter with him back as well as tolerating his gambling addiction when it could have jeopardized the Job. Inej was shown to actually argue and have disagreement with Kaz when he’s technically her boss. Can you imagine the Darkling doing that? CAN YOU?!
No. Because he's a pretentious ass. That's why.
This is a great example of the use “show not tell” of how Kaz despite his obvious edges has a soft spot shown through his relationship with Inej and Jesper, who have a friendly dynamic. I can attest that while Kaz didn’t create a good first impression, I love Jesper and Inej (they are precious!) so much that I project it to Kaz in extension.
On the other hand, Kirigan’s goodwill had only ever been told by outsiders or himself. None from his inner circle (which he doesn’t have!) other than his mother, who ended up outing him instead.
So I applaud the writers and showrunners of SaB to actually have subtext signs of a manipulative bastard. The Duckling is a good villain character that's complex but unredeemable. Sometimes, you just have a good ol' charming villain you can't redeem and that's okay.

" they’re fucking disgusting if they’re okay with her leaving the father of her children for a man she met on set" Serious question but when are you guys going to realize that millions of people fall OUT of love every single day? It can be for 100 of different reasons. One of those reasons can be meeting someone else. If you meet someone else and you fall in love with them, the best thing you can do is to break up with the person you are in a relationship with. Staying with someone you are not in love with is not good ( for nobody and not good for kids involved). Like....if Harry went to you guys and said in 2025 after he and Olivia had a child and said "I'm not happy with my relationship with Olivia, I met somone else that I have feelings for" you guys would not sit here and be like "NO, you are disgusting for even thinking of breaking up with Olivia. You need to be with her 4life. Fuck that your kids are suffering because the parents are not happy. " It's not something ANYONE would say to anyone in real life. You bringing up that Jason is the father of her children.....like OK. What is that supposed to mean? That they need to be forever and ever. Like? It's not normal to stay with someone just because you have kids. lol. It's also not good to cheat so it's better to just be "we need to break up" and then you can move on with the person you actually have feelings for instead of hurting the person by cheating on them. It's clear that you people don't look at crime documentaries because 99% of the time it's someone killing their partners because they are not in love anymore instead of just being normal.....and getting a divorce and moving on. You guys keep on saying the most stupid things just because you don't like Olivia/Holivia and sorry but it's truly messing with your brains. Some of the things you are saying sound so conservative that I'm truly worried for you guys and how you will act in real life. If you are not in a happy relationship, get out. If you fall in love with someone else, get out as fast as you can because it will either lead to a) unhappiness or b) cheating. If you are in an abusive relationship, get out. You never ever have to stay with anyone if you don't want to, not even if that is the father/mother of your children.
you do know that if harry and olivia are actually dating (big IF) there was cheating involved, right?
so you’re telling me that it’s totally okay for a mother, or father, who has kids with another person and has been with that person for years to cheat on this individual for someone whom they just met because they aren’t happy in their current relationship?
i get that it’s normal for couples to break up, but it’s not okay to cheat on your partner especially if you share kids with them. she could’ve been like, “Hey, I don’t think this is going to work out anymore,” and explain her feelings rather than fucking the male lead and having her fiancé find out on his own.
let’s say this is real, these poor children are going to grow up and find out that their mother cheated on their dad for a man that she met on set and is constantly leaving them for every other week. how shitty is that?
i’m not trying to say that i know what was going on between them, but i guarantee that they weren’t on awful terms when she met harry. like jason literally brought the kids on set when DWD was being filmed. harry knew damn well she has kids and was engaged. she was openly posting jason on her social media, as well as the kids, up until towards the end of last year, around the seeding of the stunt. also, they were in the same house in january of this year. if they actually ended the relationship last year, as they claim, i’m sure she would’ve been staying somewhere else.
if you cheat, you’re a shitty person. if you are involved in a cheating situation, you’re a shitty person.
let’s not normalize cheating as the proper way to end a relationship.

Feral Fatality
(Part 2)
Tumblr media
I'm supposed to be working on the requests but here I am. Writing nonsense. But its my nonsense so *shrugs*
Pairing: Jason Voorhees x Fem!Reader
Word count: 2.4k
Warnings: Graphic Depictions of Violence (or so I think), Blood (lots of blood), Murder (as usual), Feral side of the reader coming out for a brief moment, and cursing.
Three harsh knocks made you flinch and woke you up from your sleep.
"Hey, loser! It's dinner time. Eloiza wants you by the campfire. Now." Layla, one of Eloiza's side girls, stressed. You sat up, rubbing your eyes before you set your book on the bedside table.
"Did you hear me?! I said—"
"Yeah, yeah, I heard you alright. I'll be out." You swear the whole camp could hear her with the way she's squawking.
She stomped off, huffing loud.
You chose to stay in your baggy clothes. A black hoodie with a small yin-yang symbol on your left breast with a matching pair of black and white sweatpants, half of your ebony hair tied up in a ponytail.
It was already dark when you walked out, the moon climbing bit by bit up to the sky and subtly lighting your path. You shivered as a chilled breeze went past.
In the distance, you could see a small fire, dancing, swaying its fiery arms. It would have been a nice sight if not for the people around it.
Even from afar, you could see them engaged in a heated session, the smell of cigarettes and pot reached your senses, making you grimace.
"Yo look, it's (Y/N)," one of them said once you were close to the campfire.
Few gave you glances, before going back to their business. You remained quiet, though you noticed five people were missing in the group.
Fucking in the cabins, no doubt.
Eloiza was in the middle, her ass planted on someone's lap while she held a cigarette, both of them sharing and blowing smoke at each other.
Different. Out of place. You regretted coming out here, but if you didn't they'd only harass you in your cabin. Break down your door, and drag you out just to humiliate you. Then it fully dawned on you; no adults or teachers to protect you here, they could kill you if they wish.
You cursed as worst-case scenarios ran wild in your mind.
Damn, I'm gonna die tonight.
"Layla, why don't give her some food already, she's obviously hungry," Eloiza ordered.
"Ugh! Me again? Why can't you let Betty do it?" She was straddling Jake, vice-captain of the rugby team in your school. Layla subtly ground down her ass unto his crotch. The act was uncomfortable and disgusting to you.
Eloiza shot a glare at her, expression grim.
"Fine!" she jumped off, "I'll be right back babe," she whispered not so quietly. It was clear that they weren't in a relationship, only looking for someone to fuck. Lacking the sense of intimacy that lovers have. The air was just full of sexual tension and lust, anyone who's good at reading people would know.
And right now, you wanna vomit.
"While we wait for that hoe to come back, why don't you sit down with us for a bit (Y/N)?"
"Thank you, but I'm fine standing. I'll just take the food and eat in my cabin," you replied. Your smile was fake and your voice, monotonous. You hid your hands in your pockets.
"I insist, let's chat for a bit," she said. The rest of the group ignored you still as they were busy with their...partners.
You blinked and looked at her right in the eyes.
"No."
You refuse to submit to her, you submit to no one. You came to camp to get away from the noise people like her make. Ironically, you wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her either.
"What did you just say to me?" Oh, right, Eloiza hates you as much as she hates being disobeyed. Her face turned red, and it wasn't from the fire.
"No," you repeated.
"No?" she scoffed, "I told you to sit the fuck down. I was being kind to you and you de—"
"No, I won't sit down. And no, you were not kind, you just gave me an order and I refused."
The group froze and looked at you, halting their activities. Eloiza shot up, making you raise your guard and take a step back.
Still, you did not expect her to grab a half-burning log and fling it at you.
You barely dodged, the hefty ember grazing the side of your face, burning your skin and some of your black strands. You took a sharp intake of air and staggered back, dizzy and groaning from the pain as you hover your hand on your cheek. Gasps and cheers sounded around you.
"Nobody. Disobeys. Me." she said, accentuating every word. "You're just a useless piece of shit. You think being a smartass will save you? You do realize that I can kill you right here and now, don't you?" Eloiza threatened as she approached you, her eyes burning holes into your head. A hand grabbed her arm, "Babe, you can't murder her! We'll go to jail if you—"
"Shut up, Evan. No one would know what happened here. It's so easy to say a bear attacked and ate her. And who would notice her gone anyway? Everyone knows her parents don't give a shit about her."
She's right, no one would care if I'm gone. Nobody would give two shits if I died.
"But—"
"I said shut up, didn't I?! Do you want to die too, huh?!"
"Let her have fun, Evan," Betty commented.
"What the fuck is going on here??" Layla was back, carrying a bowl of soup.
While they were preoccupied, you twisted on your heel and bolted, your vision spun but you didn't stop. While a handful of traitorous thoughts tells you to drop dead, that you should just die than prolong your suffering, your heart didn't. Yes, not a soul cares about you, but you have yourself, your books, and your art. There was no fucking chance in hell you'd let them have their way with you.
You raced to your cabin and slammed it open, closing it in the same fashion and locking it in place. Your face was throbbing, stray tears stained your cheeks as you searched for a handkerchief to wet and cool your burns.
You eventually managed to lessen the pain, thanking yourself for bringing skin ointment. Your hands were shaking as you applied it to your skin, whimpers escaped your lips as it stung a bit. You took deep breaths to calm your heart down...
In. One. Two. Three. Out. Repeat.
Jason Voorhees stood in the shadows as the scene took place.
A girl was telling you to sit, and you refused politely, yet she asserted.
The others ignored you until you outright said no.
Was it so surprising to hear one word from your mouth that the whole group turned to you?
The girl snapped, took a burning log by its safe edge, and threw it at you. It hit your cheek and you staggered backward.
His grip tightened around his weapon as alarms rang in his head, an overwhelming urge to protect you arose. You did nothing wrong and that woman harmed you.
She was shouting, threatening to end your life. A man stopped her but...
Jason heard what she said, the words only made his sight darken with rage. What did she mean by "your parents 'don't give a shit' about you"? Did they not love you as a parent should to their child?
He sees you dash back to the cabin in haste and silently praises you for taking the chance to escape, he wouldn't want you to see what he'd do to them. The killer watched for a little longer only to make sure they wouldn't follow and hurt you again.
With you out of the way and safe, he emerged out of hiding. He threw an ax with precision, splitting open one's head like a coconut, the blood spattering on the ones nearby. In an instant, they shrieked in terror, their faces turning pallid, terrified as they scattered in different directions.
The hunt begins.
You broke out of your trance when the screams reached your ears.
Oh.
You were no fool of course. You knew the legend about Jason Voorhees was true, just from looking into the cases of mass disappearances, bodies never seen again. With no evidence, no one believed it, thinking it was just an old story to scare people away, a silly myth.
Nobody, except for one little you.
Well, maybe there was somebody else but you know what I mean.
It wasn't hard to connect the dots. There were two conclusions you came up with;
Either the killer was real or the people found themselves in the stomach of a monster.
You preferred the former, honestly.
Somehow, you expected this to happen. It was part of the reason why you came with them even though you knew the possibility. Risking your life in the process just to see him with your own eyes.
Wow, what's happened to me...
You sat up on the floor and as if on cue someone pounded on your door.
"(Y/N)!! (Y/N) Let me in! Open the door and let me in!"
By the sound of it, it was Betty.
You ignored her pleas, she deserves to get torn in half for being the bitch she was...
Wait.
Why not do it yourself?
A glance at the toolbox was all it took for you to stand up and take out a screwdriver. You approached the door, Betty still pleading for her life behind it.
"Please, please! I don't wanna die yet! I'm too young to—"
She stumbled forward when the door opened. But instead of a thank you, she screeched as you tackled her to the ground and stabbed her in the eye.
Stab.
Stab.
Stab.
Her blood splattered on your clothes and skin as you drove the metal tool into her skull several times. The squelching sound of meat and bones surrounded you together with the deafening pounding of your heart.
Betty had long gone silent. Her face was unrecognizable once you stopped.
Oddly enough, you felt a familiar thrill with what you did. It was the same one when you won your first contest, received your first trophy, and made your first masterpiece. It was a first.
And it was...enthralling.
You sensed someone's eyes on you. You looked up and saw a tall and massive man with a hockey mask covering his face, standing a few meters away, his machete dripping with blood. A glint of blue flickered in his eye for a moment.
Jason Voorhees.
Not knowing what to do and still high in the moment, you waved the bloody screwdriver at him and smiled.
"H-Hey," you uttered out.
The murderer—well, you were a murderer now too— trudged towards you, stopping when a scream to your left cut through the air.
Jason honestly couldn't believe what he was seeing. Little you with a little tool, gouging the brains out of the one he was chasing down.
With a screwdriver.
Multiple emotions went through him that moment, he was shocked that you could kill someone with your tiny hands, proud that you just killed said someone that was his prey, and relieved that you were alright.
Wait, were you?
He was snapped out of his thoughts when you waved and greeted him. You just waved and greeted— what? Why weren't you running back inside your cabin? Why didn't you scream at the sight of him? Did you not know him? Was the blood on his clothes and the weapon he was carrying not ringing any bells?
Jason wanted answers and moved to close the distance between you, but then a shrill cry echoed.
Someone got snared in his traps.
He looked at you, your face was dirty with blood, but your eyes were wide open, not of fear, but happiness?
He'll have to finish his hunt first. He gave you one more look before he trudged to the origin of the sound. He'll visit you later, that is if you're still here. He wouldn't be surprised if you used this chance to get out of the place, and he'd let you. You were innocent...different, and the murder you just did was well-deserved, albeit shocking.
-
It was the one who injured you, the cause of your burn, miserably crawling on the ground as her foot bled through the jaws of a bear trap.
"Help! Please help me!! I'm dying! Somebody help—"
She howled as the killer gripped the source of her pain and dragged her back to the center of the camp, taking the long path on purpose.
Jason was always angry in one way or another every time people came to disturb the place, but this? Oh no, all he sees is red, not a word had been heard from his mother ever since.
He would usually kill them the instant he catches his prey, but he wants—needs— this one to suffer. He knows, more than anyone, how it feels to be an outcast, to be bullied for being different. This hideous woman is going to die slowly, the pain she gave you a hundred times more agonizing.
"Let go of me you fucking murderer!" She shouted, kicking and clawing on the dirt in hopes of stopping him. Jason paid her no mind, his eyes focused on the fire that glowed close.
This bitch will burn to ash.
He stood in front of the campfire and brought up her body over it, her long blonde tresses turned to nothing as she flailed and shrieked pathetically. The killer crushed her legs before he let go, the flames big enough to devour her entirely, scorching her alive.
A yell from behind drew his attention as another one ran towards him, an ax lifted and ready to attack.
"Die you monster!" They shouted, embedding the ax on his shoulder. Jason felt no pain from the shallow wound, only an itch.
What a lousy attack.
Jason pulled out the silly thing and bashed it on his assailant's skull with one heavy strike, crushing the bones beneath. Lifeless, he tossed the body into the fire, the cries died down moments ago, only the smell of burnt flesh filled his nose as the embers crackled remained.
The undead man stalked away, feeling better than before. There were still a few people waiting to be disposed of.
Jason Voorhees will not rest until every single one of them is dead.

Oh my a ship game!! So exciting! Let's do this 💙
So full disclosure I haven't followed you for long, but based off your description, honestly, I ship you with Jason. I think he'd be a good match for your extrovertedness as well as all of your energy. He'd need a person who can keep up with him and he'd like someone he can always be doing stuff with, ya know? And, while I don't particularly see him as social, I think he'd admire that in an s/o, and use it as an avenue to maybe become more social himself, or at least come out of shell he's been safe inside every since becoming Red Hood. Also I think hes a good match for what you said about liking cheesy stuff but also being kinda out of about it? Yeah, I think he's kind of in the same boat there, like he wants love and affection but is just SO awkward about it sometimes, I think you two could really help each other with that! He's not super clingy but still wants you, and wants to be with you and feel loved and would learn how to give you that in return! Idk, I just can't imagine anyone but Jason when I read your description lol I ship it tbh 💙
Now if it's not too much trouble could you tell me who you ship me with (romantically)? Pretty please and thank you 😊
I'll try to make it short but I warn you now, I'm wordy lol I'm a woman who is bisexual but does have a strong preference for men. I'm an introvert, I like being around my loved ones but I do need space to myself sometimes and being around new people always takes a lot out of me. That's one of the reasons that I tend to hold people at arms length until I get to know them, but once I do I'm a very loyal and dedicated friend (and that goes same when you're my s/o). I think my sense of humor is one of my best qualities, I love making people laugh and Will honestly do some silly stupid shit to make you smile 😂 also, I think a reason I tend to be wordy is that I'm a writer! That's what I'm slowly turning into a career, I love crafting stories and entertaining people with them and I want to make my living off of what I love. I'm creative in other ways too, I cosplay and make decorations for my house as well as my own clothes. I'm just a very creative person in general. As for my love language I... honestly don't know. Probably acts of service just because I've been in a caregiver role so often in my life and do a lot to care for my family, that's actually why I'd love a partner who takes care of me, too. I want us to pamper each other with love and loyalty you know? I just want someone who loves me as much as I love them 💖
I hope that wasn't too long! Also hope your week gets better, you deserve it, my dear! -Sincerely 💙 Anon
Omg that was so CUTEEEE brb I'll go cry cuz Jason is not real 🙂
The first person that came to my mind when u read your description was Dick, look, he's a care caretaker at heart but will benefit from someone who also has the tendency to look after others.
I don't mean this in a bad way, this exchange will come out as something pure and natural. It'll be nurturing and beneficial for the two of you to find someone who gives the same care you put into others or looks after you in those days you don't feel like giving anything at all.
Another thing that might be a good thing and a bad thing is that you'll have a lot space for you in this relationship. It's not that Dick doesn't care, of course not, he wants to know you're okay and also make you feel loved.
But he also likes to have his own space to recharge. His job is consuming and so is being the emotional support of a lot of people, he doesn't regret this, but he likes to have his own space sometimes. This usually happens when he's sad tho, and he can leave for days without showing signs of being alive.
Dick is supportive so I can see him cheering you and motivating you to keep writing the stories you love, it makes him happy to see you excited about your craft. He'll read whatever thing you write and even give you a few ideas if you left him.
He can also be a model if you want him to, can you do the new version of the disco wing costume?? He can wear that for Halloween lol

ajadhkhdh that's okay! The gist of my ask was: what do you think abt Derek and Aaron's (platonic) relationship? I really think it's the most underrated friendship within the core 7. (Then again, I'm generally biased towards the two of them) so I was wondering if you had any headcanons/fic ideas for them specifically? Like after the events of Restoration, or after Hotch reveals thst Emily is not dead, that sort of thing.
I do have an ask for Restoration Hotch and Morgan so I’m going to go ahead and include what I wrote for that plus what I thought of when you asked this^^:
They’re a match made in Adrenaline Crash Hell.
Problems with authority?
Issues trusting men?
Trouble magnets?
It unnerves Haley every time she kisses her husband goodbye knowing she’s sending him out there with his equally as injury-prone partner. She loves Derek Morgan. He’s a doll and she invites him over for dinner all the time (also to occasionally get him to help Aaron do handy-man stuff around the house because she loves her husband but the man doesn’t understand woodwork at all).
They’re an unstoppable pair.
Hotch is a fantastic sharp-shooter and he makes quick work of tongue-tying any cops that get into their way. Not to mention his legal knowledge gets them one foot in the door and guaranteed loopholes in problems that other pairs can’t solve.
Morgan is a charmer and paired with his good looks, he gains the trust of victims with ease. Not to mention, he’s fast on his feet and a close reader which means he won’t miss a single piece of evidence in a file. He excels in defusing explosives and that’s what sets them apart.
It’s why Morgan gets sent back to Quantico with fragments of a bomb to put back together when Hotch gets sent to the hospital.
Morgan stands in the bullpen, numb as he watches over and over as the news plays that scene on repeat. Just as it ends, they play that little clip-- the men wearing FBI kevlar and cops infiltrating the building. The radio static and Gideon’s voice giving the okay to move in. Morgan wonders when he’s going to get the call-- when Gideon’s voice is going to come through his phone and tell him he has to call Haley.
To tell her Hotch is dead…
and Jason Gideon killed him.
He manages to forgive Gideon for making him feel that hopeless. What he can’t forgive is what Gideon does to Hotch.
“The Black Queen--” Hotch informs him, one hand firmly planted on the wall ahead of him and the other tightly gripping a sleek black cane. He’s breathless and struggling to work through the pain that feels like it’s in every nerve of his body. But he’s refused Morgan’s help three times and he won’t cave on that now.
With a sigh, he forces his body upright. His leg gives and Morgan grabs his shoulders. “Alright, man,” Morgan grunts and he forces Hotch back into the wheelchair the nurse had given them just in case. Good thing too. He lets out a breath of his own, feeling extremely better now that he won’t have to watch Hotch force his body to move in ways that it clearly does not want to.
Morgan pats Hotch’s shoulder, “what were you saying about this Black Queen chick?”
Despite just being taken off of bed rest and only being okayed for short walks this week, Hotch has already hired two new members of the team. Of their team, because as far they know, Jason Gideon will not be returning and Hotch is acting Unit Cheif until they can find somebody better-- which they know is a ploy because no one else can do the job.
Which makes the two of them the only members of the team.
Living, that is.
Hotch chews on the end of his nails as he informs Morgan about the hacker recently caught in the FBI’s web. It makes him smile, Morgan can appreciate Hotch’s creativity in this new team. He’s good at this.
JJ had been the first person Hotch hired. She’d joined their little force last week as a media liaison and Morgan liked her right off the bat. She’d come to the hospital and Morgan had watched in shock but extreme amusement as she took right to arguing with Hotch. Not in a bad way but more of a “No, sir, you won’t be getting any paperwork until your doctor signs off on it. As that is the requirement you have to meet under federal guidelines and… because I said so.”
Needless to say, they love her. Not many people have the balls to tell Hotch no. It makes her perfect for the job.
She makes their jobs easier and she fully understands that while Hotch and Morgan are not currently physically capable of the job, it is in no way waiting for them to be ready.
There’s a slightly maddened look in Hotch’s eyes as he leans forward and tells Morgan about how much a genius this woman, the Black Queen, is. Then again, the poor man has had nothing to do for weeks and he’s taken this small task and really ran with it. It definitely doesn’t help that he’s desperate need of a hair cut and in pajamas.
Going to interview Penelope Garcia is the first time Hotch leaves the hospital in months.
He’s promptly taken right back but he’s smiling the whole way.
Their team of four has weekly meetings in the hospital.
Then Hotch hires Reid.
It’s strange at first but one night, as Morgan’s falling asleep it suddenly occurs to him-- That son of a bitch. Hotch and Morgan both struggle to trust men which has had a lot to do with Hotch’s hires being all women. Then Hotch does hire another “man” and it’s some scrappy-ass runt of a genius-- so, of course, Morgan hadn’t even flinched. He hadn’t even thought twice before taking the kid under his arm.
Of course, Hotch has Reid spending all his time with Gideon but he’s still a part of the team.
But Hotch heals and returns to active duty. Gideon stays on campus.
And then it all comes crashing in once again.
Morgan is the one to advocate for Elle. He doesn’t say a word to Hotch-- he doesn’t know why. He just goes straight up to Gideon and tells the man that they can’t pass up on a spunky woman like Elle Greenaway.
He gets the impression Hotch doesn’t completely support this idea-- not Greenaway, just not the idea that Morgan went to Gideon instead of him.
Their friendship... struggles as Hotch takes on the full responsibilities of Unit Cheif. He’s not as fun and Morgan would prefer hanging out with the kid and Elle, so he does.
Tobias Hankle forces them to confront that ruined friendship the moment Derek Morgan utters those simple words: “you’re a drill sergeant”.
But they remain one in the same.
“I have and always will entrust you with my life. Can you do the same for me?”
“I love my job, man.” “You love him more.”
“I don’t want you going to see Burford.”
The stand-off between the federal agents standing in the middle of the police station is clear. A battle that goes past wills and the inhibitions of troubled youths. The kind of trouble that runs deeper than still water. Trauma that grown men can’t shake. That these grown men haven’t shaken.
“Hotch, I can do this.”
Maybe, Hotch considers. Maybe Derek can to a certain degree. The way that Hotch handles it after case. The way they all handle it. “Fine,” he relents. He can’t burn the bridge between the two of them over something as stupid as egos and abusers. Not when their pasts intertwine the way they do. Braided. “Fine but I’m coming with you.”
Because if they’re going to do this, they’re going to do it together.
More or less.
There’s no denying how weak his own knees feel as Hotch watches Morgan take Buford’s hand. So, when Morgan looks him dead in the eyes and lies-- and deceives him with the excuse that he’s going to “use the head before we leave” Hotch lets him. It’s the same small infraction he’d need Morgan to allow him. The same infraction Morgan has allowed him.
“Derek? You did a great thing out there.”
The jet has been silent, for the most part. It’s only the right amount of small talk, mangled by Dave’s encouraging words. Mangled by the call.
Hotch recognizes the tone, the far off look in Derek’s eyes as he pulls his phone away from his ear. “What happened?” he can hardly push the question past his lips. Because he already knows the swell of tangled emotions. The way that anger melts into fear and doubt. The way relief wraps its cold fingers around your sternum and burns with the passion of loss.
Because deep, deep down… Hotch still loved his father.
“Carl Buford is dead.”
Bile stings the back of Hotch’s throat but he remains silent and still when Morgan stands. He assumes the other man is feeling the same burning disgust. Anger with himself for being upset. Anger with Buford for making him love him in some twisted way.
And Morgan can’t find the means to understand it. Hotch loved his abuser because he was his father. Carl was… Carl was nothing and everything and Morgan crawled his way from the muddied pits of hell without Carl and yet--
“Breathe--” he can’t even make it to the bathroom before he sinks to his knees. “It’s alright.” It’s taken Morgan years to get to a place where the presence of another man, hell an older man, doesn’t startle him. Still, sometimes someone steps too close and he flinches or gets frustrated and he can’t even explain why.
But Hotch surrounds him. He uses his body to block the other’s from Morgan’s direct line of sight and all Morgan knows is the painful throb in his chest and the reassuring hand placed on his back. Morgan finds comfort in that hand. In Hotch who he knows without a shred of doubt not only understands but shares a fraction of his pain.
“Just breathe, Derek.”
Hotch looks up, his knees aching from squatting. “Blake, can you grab a water bottle? JJ, can you get me a rag?” He stays right here beside his old friend. So much as changed from those beginning years as two young and dumb agents.
But they’re still the same broken men.
“Hotch?”
Hotch shakes his head, “I’m right here, Derek. Always.”

He'd always had the worst timing when it came to her.
In his defense, so had Sonny. Though, for them being together, those two had had good timing.
So timing was still just being a bitch. This time, though, it wasn't him in the shocked position. For once, he wasn't the one who was blindsided with something.
Well, not entirely anyways. He'd figured that Sam would run to Sonny, manipulating the situation, but he didn't think she'd get him here that fast. It was what, five minutes? He must've flown here or something, but that would've taken longer just to get through the flight frills. The only way for him to get there that quickly would be that he was nearby anyways, so there was a chance he heard a part of their fight. Realistically, Sam will be there as well, right behind the fuming mob boss.
Him and Carly had ended that kiss the second Sonny had announced his presence by loudly asking, "What the fuck?"
"I promise it's not what it looks like," Carly rushes out quickly, a blush overtaking her cheeks. Damn, she really isn't much of a liar anymore. Kinda sucks she lost that trait, though she's still one of the best liars he's ever met.
"What it looks like is that you were kissing someone else while we're married," Sonny says, voice scarily quiet. "How is that not what's happening here?"
"Alright, maybe it's a little bit what it looks like," she admits. "Actually, it's exactly what it looks like but I don't want you to be mad at him because it's a thing we both did and technically I kissed him first so it doesn't count as him doing anything. Well, maybe a little because he kissed me back, but it doesn't count as anything serious."
"Smooth," Jason mutters before looking at his boss who looks like he'll kill him right then and there without hesitation.
"I'm trying to save your ass here," she whispers back.
"And I'm trying to save your marriage!"
"You really think that's what's happening here? How- how is kissing her somehow saving my marriage, Jason? Please tell me, I'd be delighted to know," Sonny chuckles sarcastically. "Cause from where I'm standing, it seems like, if anything, you'd be the reason to end my marriage."
"He is not to blame," Carly exclaims again.
"I'm sorry, is this a thing about you two I just don't get?" Sonny asks mockingly, noting that she's mad. That's what he wants, her mad, as mad and hurt as he is.
"No," Jason says calmly. "It's not. That- this- that's the first time that happened."
"You two could've had a happily ever after decades ago," Sonny exclaims, "but you weren't. What, is this some nostalgia thing, huh? Now that he's single you suddenly can't keep your hands off of him?"
"That's enough, Sonny! In case you forget, you're the reason we didn't," Jason warns, voice not giving away emotion.
"She slept with me after she saw you and Eli-"
"After you told her I was dating Elizabeth? She was distraught that night, worried sick she'd lose me! You knew damn well that we weren't doing anything and that I didn't feel that way for Elizabeth but you didn't tell her that, no, you tell her I'm in love with someone who was a grieving friend! You knew what I felt for Carly and you still lied to her about what had happened, you. Not me, not her, you," Jason fires back angrily.
"That's got nothing to do with this! Last I checked, I wasn't the one who'd kissed a married woman," Sonny shouts.
"You're right, you tore my family away from me but you, somehow, are the victim," the morally grey assassin says, volume steady. "I forgave you for that a long time ago, but it still hurts to think about."
"And you kissed my wife!"
"I kissed him first!"
"He kissed back, and from where I was standing, he initiated the kiss!"
"The second one!" Carly exclaims.
There's a silent tension in the air between the two and Sonny when she admits that. "Second kiss? So you mean to tell me that he kissed you after you'd already kissed once?"
"That would be the meaning of second kiss, yes," Carly smirks slightly. "I kissed him first and he didn't register it until I'd pulled away so when he realized what was going on he kissed me back. We've kissed twice. Happy?"
"No, not really! I just found out my best friend and my wife have some unresolved feelings for each other!" Sonny snaps. "Things I thought had been gone for years are back and I don't know what to do about it because you're supposedly friends with me, supposedly my business partner! You helped me make this business from the start! I'm hurt that you did this, Carly, but especially that he kissed you back."
"I'm your friend," Jason attempts to defuse the situation, "but that doesn't mean I always have to do things you like."
"Things I like?" Sonny snarls. "I'd like it if you didn't have feelings for her!"
"So would I," Sam smiles, emerging from the hall, "I had my suspicions but you still shouldn't have been with me when you had feelings for her."
"I didn't know I did until maybe two days ago! I thought I was over that but clearly I'm not!" Jason glares.
"So did I. I mean, I figured I was taking this to the grave. Sonny's a good guy and I don't not love him," Carly says, confusing the hell out of everyone. "But it's friendly love more than it is romantic by now."
"So you stayed with me when you were in love with him?" Sonny asks, looking her dead in the eyes.
"Yes," the blonde quietly admits after a moment of uncomfortable silence. "Him and Sam were together and they'd worked so hard for that. They were happy, as far as I knew."
"You managed to hide what you feel for that long? That in and of itself is a miracle," Jason teases her slightly, but being pretty serious still. "But in all seriousness, that must've sucked for you. I know how little you enjoy hiding your feelings."
"Well, what I feel affects a lot of people."
"But I care what you feel, you know that," he smiles at her. "Don't hide it because of how it'll affect me."
"Well right now I feel like running for the hills," she smiles.
"I feel like knowing why you two are acting like this," Sonny joins in. "You should be feeling like shit right now and full of guilt over these kisses and feelings."
"Surprisingly, I don't. Honestly, I feel... Relieved. It's refreshing to have everything out in the open. We both know how we feel about each other and it's love. I don't think guilt would go along with this," Jason informs him calmly.
Sonny charges at him and shoves the surprised assassin against the wall. "Don't you ever say that again! You don't love my wife and she doesn't love you!"
"I do, Sonny! Stop this! You're an adult for god's sakes, so just discuss this rationally," Carly shouts.
A very emotionally conflicted Jason shoves Sonny off of him and walks back to where he was before, next to Carly. "I had no clue he would do this, did you?" She asks him as he shakes his head. "I knew he'd be pissed, but this is a new level of anger. I've never seen it from him."
Nodding, Jason agrees with her. "Yeah, I don't know what to do."
"I've got a suggestion," Sam interjects. "You don't fall in love with her!"
"That's not something you can help, genius," Carly snaps, "and even if it was, you aren't doing much to help calm him down so leave, buy something, or be helpful."
"I was trying to be!"
"By suggesting something you know to be impossible?" Jason quips.
"I'm coping too!" Sam weakly defends herself. "I love you still even though you don't love me anymore. Stop acting like you two are the victims!"
"We're not trying to but you need to stop acting like everything stops because you're mad," Carly explains as calmly as she can.
"Stop it! Jason, get the hell away from her," Sonny warns, "right now. You two aren't in love! You're, what's the word, projecting! Projecting your feelings for other people onto each other. Jason's for Sam and Carly's for me."
"Don't touch her," Jason warns, arm around Carly. "I know what I feel better than you. What reason does Carly have to project feelings?"
"I don't know! But you aren't her husband! So stay away from my wife," Sonny argues and a slightly scared Carly is grateful for the protection of her best friend. Especially at that moment, it comes in handy always.
"I'm not projecting or faking feelings! Sonny, go home!"
"Where Joss and Avery and Donna are? That's a great idea, they can see me like this!"
"That's never bothered you before."
"You've never cheated on me before."
"Get. Out."
"No," Sonny says, grasping for his wife's hand. "Let's go."
"She said leave, Sonny. Go." Jason advises.
"I'm not listening to you, you worthless traitor!"
"Don't call him either of those things! He's stuck by you and me through everything, Sonny, everything, and is the most loyal man I could ever know! Stop being pissed and throwing a fit and grow the hell up!" Carly snaps at her husband, grasping Jason's free hand in hers.
"C'mon, Sonny, let's go," Sam agrees, having seen enough.
To be continued

Lemme get the timeline right, so Dick was about 15-16 when first Teen Titans happened, then he came back to Batgirl's debut, some time later he left for college & that was the issue where Bruce is kinda teary, looking at Dick's prizes, Dick teases him a lil? Or was that golden age? Then he's recruited by Raven, NTT happens, but the firing... I'm confusing these parts. He got fired after getting shot by Joker? He was Robin then so before Jason, but was he with NTT or in Gotham?
LOL don’t worry about being confused, because it very much IS confusing thanks to so many continuities and retcons.
Personally, I tend to go with pre-New 52 timeline and then just later stories like that timeline never ended and just kept going with New 52 and Rebirth stories....with any discrepancies being like....’flashback stories’ retroactively inserted at the appropriate point in the characters’ histories. That’s just my approach though, doesn’t necessarily work for everyone.
But pre-New 52, the ages up until Dick is around 16 or 17 are pretty flexible.....you can kinda pick and choose when you view the first Teen Titans having formed because there aren’t any hard age milestones to use as a marker. So regardless of what you go with, up until Dick was about sixteen, maybe seventeen, he lived full time in Gotham with Bruce, was Robin, and ‘moonlighted’ with the Teen Titans, who in their early years were kinda more an excuse to hang out with their superhero friends rather than like....a specifically focused team.
THEN is when it gets confusing, because enter the Age of Retcons:
ORIGINALLY, pre-Crisis of Infinite Earths, aka Retcon-Palooza, Dick went on to become Nightwing while he was still on good terms with Bruce. Bruce took Jason in and adopted him, but there was zero conflict with Dick over this....in fact, at this point in the comics, Jason was ALSO an orphaned circus acrobat whose family had been friends with Dick’s family, and DICK was the one who helped him after his parents were murdered, and took him to Bruce, which led to Bruce adopting him.
(Fun fact, and part of why I side-eye people who dismiss retcons as ‘not counting’......Jason’s extremely iconic and well-known history as a street kid who Bruce found stealing his tires......only spanned about TWELVE ISSUES. Before his death, he literally only existed with that origin for about a year’s worth of comics....as opposed to pre-Crisis, when he existed for SEVERAL years worth of comics as the plucky acrobat who adored Dick and was always doing his homework and saying “Robin gives me magic” and stuff. Fandom lives mashing these two versions of Jason together, which is fine, but they have zero problem plying his twelve issues of having grown up as a street kid for angst, while being dismissive of other characters’ retcons, and that’s right up there when talking about Things That Make Me Go HMMMM).
Anyway, so originally, pre-Crisis, Dick moved on to become Nightwing when HE was good and ready, of his own volition, because he felt he was entering a new stage of his life and wanted to reflect that. And then HE gave Robin to Jason HIMSELF, like, literally bequeathed it to him, brother to brother, with Jason being appropriately grateful to HIM for that rather than crediting Bruce with it, who had absolutely nothing to do with it other than looking on fondly and proceeding from there with Jason as his partner. Dick then transitioned to living and working with the New Teen Titans full time in New York.
He also briefly went to college at this time, but dropped out after just one semester or one year or so......which other people often skew to make it sound like he’s lazy or spoiled or just wanted to live off Bruce’s money all of which makes me gnash my teeth, lol.....nah, he already had the equivalent of several college degrees just from growing up being trained by Bruce. Dick dropped out for one reason only: nothing he wanted to do with his life benefited from a college diploma specifically, and none of the jobs he went on to work later required one. He’s a kid who comes from a family who never went to college either because they didn’t NEED to in order to do what they loved....and Dick was no different. People love to cite that Dick was already fairly old when his parents died and that’s why ‘he didn’t need Bruce to be his parent as much specifically’ or whatthefuckever....but then they turn right around and act like he should live his life more according to the expectations and standards of Bruce as opposed to.....in keeping with his first family and their priorities and whatnot. BUT I DIGRESS.
But anyway, at this point, he mostly lived in New York and came back to Gotham every now and then to visit or to help with cases. Babs had at this point been Batgirl for some time, before he became Nightwing, but again, the timelines are messy, so the only real marker that’s important IMO is that her history with Bruce and Dick as Batgirl predates Jason joining the family, AND post-Crisis, when Jason had his street kid origin.....I think she interacted with that version of Jason maybe once?
My point there is there’s a lot of piling on the angst and pointing back to Dick as the ultimate culprit, with people making a big deal about how Barbara and others were constantly comparing Jason to Dick and resenting him for not being Dick and this made Jason’s childhood even with Bruce especially difficult....but again, nah. The vast majority of the time Babs/Batgirl co-existed with Jason/Robin, it was pre-Crisis Jason, which meant that he was on great terms with Bruce AND Dick and Dick was on great terms with Bruce, all of which means....NOBODY WAS RESENTING ANYBODY OR COMPARING ANYONE TO ANYONE ELSE, THEY ALL COEXISTED JUST FINE.
NOW.
ENTER THE RETCONS.
This is where it gets messier and more complicated, because JUST LIKE the comics retconned Jason’s origin to make him a street kid - and which NOBODY has trouble acknowledging or balancing......the comics ALSO retconned Dick’s departure from Gotham. Now it was because there was a story in which Dick was shot by the Joker, Bruce freaked out about his safety, and decided the best way to express this was by firing Dick as Robin and alienating him. Dick lingered for a few weeks, its said, in the hopes that Bruce would change his mind, but when Bruce didn’t, Dick finally packed his bags and left to go live with the Titans full time, where he became Nightwing. Its further said that this was the last contact they had for about a YEAR AND A HALF.....with Dick being the one to make the first move to resume contact.....when he found out from the papers both that Bruce had taken in a new kid (Jason) and adopted him already, AND made him Robin.
(A name which no matter WHAT origin you go for in terms of what it means to Dick, is regardless HIS CREATION, the mantle HE made for HIMSELF, and was never Bruce’s to give away, whether or not you go with the take that it was Dick’s mother’s nickname for him, or it being a reference to Robin Hood, Dick’s favorite childhood hero).
Anyway, Dick confronted Bruce about this, and Bruce basically just....acknowledged this without actually ever putting the words “I’m sorry” or “I messed up” in there, and that was Dick’s one and only ON THE PAGE interaction with Jason post-street kid origin before A Death In The Family....which occurred like two story arcs later.
(However, something I like to point out is the issue where Dick and Jason meet after both their respective retcons, was a FLASHBACK issue. It literally starts the issue off with the caption “One year ago”.....meaning that even though Jason died only two story arcs later and we never saw Dick and he interact on the page again, that issue was deliberately scripted in such a way as to allow for a good couple years to pass IN UNIVERSE....which, IMO, is where Dick and Jason’s sibling bond and dynamic had more than enough time to form. Just because Dick was on bad terms with Bruce doesn’t mean he ever took this out on Jason, and we know from later stories that they at least interacted a few times we never saw, like when the two of them went skiing together - so while people act like they barely knew each other because Dick was never around, IMO there’s literally no reason to assume that Dick wasn’t just as good about reaching out to Jason and forming a sibling bond with him after that first initial meeting, as he later was with Tim and Cass and Damian. In fact, given how familiar Dick and Jason seem to be with each other after his return to Gotham years later, IMO the thing that ACTUALLY strains credulity is the idea that before Jason died, he and Dick only interacted a bare handful of times. Nah. That doesn’t track.)
ANYWAY. That’s how all that played out those two different times, and why there’s so much confusion, BUT I maintain a huge part of that confusion is artificially produced.....by people deliberately trying to mix and match continuities in a way that just flat out doesn’t work. Sooooooo many times over the years, we’ve heard takes on how Dick ‘quit’ being Robin and then Bruce made Jason Robin and Dick resented both of them for this, but uh.....that’s the one version of things that DIDN’T ever happen. There were two distinct ways it played out. In the first, Dick quit voluntarily, and then made Jason Robin himself, and he and Bruce and Jason were all on great terms. In the later version, (the definitive version, because just like Jason’s street kid origin, it was the retcon, yes, but it was also never refuted or contradicted, the way it would have to be to ‘reset’ canon to that earlier sequence of events/state of affairs) - but yeah, in the later version, Dick was fired, Bruce made Jason Robin, and Dick resented BRUCE for this.
But people keep trying to play mix and match so Dick both quit - thus ‘giving up his claim to Robin/theoretically having no basis to object to someone else being Robin’....AND Bruce made Jason Robin - thus getting ‘credit’ in Jason’s eyes for giving him this mantle, responsibility and trust - with Dick then resenting Bruce for giving away the thing he ‘gave up.’
And that’s so disingenuous and obnoxious, when people try and play that game. They don’t want Dick to have ‘the right’ to the same complaints they have about Jason and Tim being ‘replaced’ but they also don’t want him to get credit for giving Robin to Jason because that would imply a strong brotherly bond and connection between them, one in which Dick clearly loves his little brother, and its just....uggggggh. So annoying.
BUT I DIGRESS.
Anyway, that’s the scoop, the buzz, the happening.

I'm having a bad day, can you write a DamiJon and TimKon fic where the supers are having an arm wrestling match and their Robin's are laughing and cheering them on from the sidelines? Pleasssseeeeeeee????? 😄
I hope you enjoy this sweetie and that the rest of your week is better and more enjoyable ^*^
Alfred was famous for making sweets; no matter what itwas his deserts where always the best so it was no surprise that there werehardly any leftovers since the batboys tend to finish them. Today however, wasan exception Alfred made his famous cinnamon crumb cake and there were only twoslices left.
Tim, Kon, Jon, and Damian looked at one another silentlychallenging the others for the slices of cake.
“We deserved the last two slices, we’ve solved a case andarrested four drug lords!” Tim said glaring at Damian.
“Arresting a criminal and solving a case is child’s playDrake both Jon and I were able to take down Luthor and his operations!”
“You had help from both Bruce and Clark and we didn’t!”
“You also had outside help, Grayson and Todd had a handin taking down the drug lord,”
“That’s different!”
“How?!”
Before either two could continue their argument, Jon and Connorstood between them and separated the two.
“Come on guys the slices are big enough for all four ofus to share,” Jon said trying to keep the peace, Connor looked at his littlebrother like he grew two heads.
“What?” the younger Kent asked.
“Are you serious? You really want a small slice of Alfred’scake, when you can have your own big piece?”
“Well yeah but,”
“But nothing Kent, it’s clear that neither Drake, the clone, nor I are going to let this matter go until we get what we want,”
“And how are we gonna settle this?” Jon had to ask,Connor smirk as he sat down at the table and stuck out his hand.
“Arm wrestling, you and me Jon winner takes both slicesof cake and the mantle of the second strongest member in the Kent family.”
Both Damian and Tim looked at each other before a slysmile spread across their faces.
“An arm wrestle contest would not only give us a victor, but it’ll finally determine which of our aliens is the far soupier one,” Damiansaid already liking this idea.
“I hate to agree with the brat but he’s right Kon, youbetter win this and not make me look someone who teams up with pansies,”
“Gee thanks Tim, your faith in me means a lot,”
Damian just rolled his eyes as he looked at Jon.
“I don’t need to give you no words of encouragement becauseyou can easily kick his ass, you are not only my partner but also my boyfriendyou could easily defeat him without even breaking a sweat,”
“Umm…thanks?” the young superhero said, a bit worriedthat he’ll let his Robin down.
Jon looked at his brother in fear, the two were alwaysrough housing and testing each other’s strength, sadly Connor always came outon top between their little games. Still beating Connor would be great for hisego also if he could slide in another deal maybe Jon can win both the cake andsomething else.
“Okay, but let’s add something else to the deal,”
“And that is?”
“If you win you’ll get both the slices of cake and Ma’s last slices of pie, also youand Tim have to do whatever me and Damian say for the rest of the weekend,”
Both Tim and Kon looked at one another before looking attheir younger brothers, Jon with a mischievous glint in his eyes and Damianwith a proud smile that was directed to Jon.
“Okay, but if I win we get both deserts and you andDamian have to do our chores for the rest of the weekend,” he said looking atTim who nodded his head in approval.
“Deal,” Jon said sitting down and grabbing his brother’sarm.
Both Connor and Jon smirked at one another before Damianstood on one side of the table and Tim stood on the opposite end.
“Okay you two, on the count of three,” Tim said lookingat both Superboys,
“One,”
“Two,” Damian said,
“THREE,” both Wayne brothers said simultaneously.
Jon and Connor tried to bring the other down as they usedall their strength to bring the other down.
“Come on Kon, show this little twerp who’s boss,” Timcheered,
“Twerp?” Jon asked, for a second he was distracted for awhile, enough time for Connor to bring his hand down a little.
“Jon focus!” Damian cried afraid of Jon losing, he didnot want to do Drake’s chores for the rest of the weekend but more importantlyhe wanted that cake! {And the pie}
Jon regain his focus as he pulled his arm back upbringing it back to the center, he glared at Kon who couldn’t help but smirk atalmost winning,
“That’s it Jon kick this wanna be Super-man reject’s ass!”
“What did you say?” Kon asked all traces of humor gone, like Kon who took advantage of his distraction Jon used his slip ofconcentration to his advantage and tried to bring down his arm he was halfwaythere before Kon regain focus more like Tim hit him in the back of the head andyell,
“Focus!”
Kon regain his focus as he brought his arm back to thetop, this time it was Jon who had a smirk on his face and a look of worried wason Connor’s.
The two kept trying to bring the other down, Tim and Damianlooked at the two with both excitement and anticipation as their supers triedto beat the other,
“Come on Connor don’t let this little boy beat you,”
“If Jon wins its not because Connor was defeated by a boyit was because he lost to a far supior being,” Damian said as he watched hisboyfriend winning this match.
“Come on Kent, don’t let this clone beat you you’re waybetter than him,”
“Of course, I’m gonna win Dami, after all I’m cuter andsince I am younger that means I’m a lot stronger I mean you’re getting old Kon,that means you’re losing your edge,”
Both Tim and Connor looked at him in shock while Damianlaughed at Jon’s trash talking. He was to cute when he tried to be tough.
Connor smirk as he tried to push his arm down,
“You maybe cute little brother but I’m hotter and I maybeold but I have more experience than you, and plus I at least don’t cry duringthe Lion King or the ending to Pokémon,”
“Ooohhh,” Tim said, he found three pairs of eyes lookingat him weirdly.
“What? Isn’t that what people do after they are donetrash talking them?”
No answered him before Damian said,
“Remember clone, you are marrying that,”
“Don’t remind me,”
“Hey!”
Jon just laughed as he kept trying to bring his brother’shand down.
“Come on Jon kick his ass!”
“Damian language,” Jon said acting scandalous.
“Yeah Dami, gosh darn it you are only six years old!” Timsaid unable to resist a jab at Damian’s age.
Damian just rolled his eyes as all three boys laughed atthe joke making Damian blush a bright red.
Jon and Connor smirk at one another as their boyfriendskept cheering them on.
“Connor you’re the strongest, bravest, sexiest, and bestman out there! Don’t let this little boy win!”
“Kent, I don’t need to boost your ego because you have meas your boyfriend and that’s enough to know you’re better than the clone so youbetter not lose,”
“Of course, I’m everything you said Tim, can’t let thelittle brats get the best of us and think they are better than us, now can I?”
For some reason this made everyone laugh as theirfriendly competition kept getting a little more heated with their trashtalking.
“Dude I know I’m better than you, and I got a hotterRobin who can kick your old ass without even trying,”
This made both Damian and Tim go,
“Ooooooohhhhhhh,”
“Tim, he just dissed you,”
“Yeah, but it was a great dissed I couldn’t resistcheering him,”
Connor turned to his little brother and couldn’t help butsmile as he said,
“You just said a bad word that means I’m telling mom,”
“Tattle tale,” both Damian and Jon said making both Timand Connor laugh.
“Then I’ll tell Tim about the time you dressed as aballerina and danced to swan lake!”
Both Tim and Damian started laughing as Connor turned abright red before he said,
“Say what you want but I look good in a tutu,”
This made all the boys laugh including Connor who couldn’tresist laughing along his friends.
“Ready to give up?”
“Nope, you?”
“Tch, you wish,”
“My superboy is gonna win Dami,”
“Not a chance Drake,”
“My money is on the clone,”
“No way man Jon is totally gonna win,”
“Wait what?” Connor asked distracted by the new voices, thedistraction was enough for Jon to bring down Connor’s hand making him thevictor.
“I did it! I won! I beat my…brother…” Jon watched in horrorat the scene before him,
Damian, Tim, and Connor turned to where Jon’s face wasstaring as their faces mirror Jon’s expression.
Sitting on the counter was Dick and Jason…eating…Alfred’scake.
“See told you little wing that Damian’s superboy wasgonna win,”
“Ah shit man, I owe you fifty bucks,” Jason said as heput his empty plate down next to him.
“Yeah you do,” Dick said as he took a final bite of thecake and placed his own plate down smiling at his brothers and theirboyfriends. He saw that all four of them were giving them a scandalous look.
“What?” Dick said.
All four continue to stare at them before Jon was thefirst to snap out of it and shouted,
“GET THEM!”
A few minutes later Alfred came in the Manor with a newtray of cinnamon crumble cake and two pies from Ms. Kent, he knew his grandsonsloved his sweets which is why he decided to make another batch as well as askMs. Kent for some of her pies which she kindly gave him.
As he passed the living room and headed for the kitchenhe had to stop and walk back to the living room to make sure that what he sawwas true and not some trick from his eyes.
Upon looking at the living room he saw Master Grayson andMaster Todd tied up hanging from the ceiling while the young Masters, MasterDrake, and Master Kent were sitting in a circle watching some show.
Master Connor was sitting on the couch while Master Drakewas resting his head on Master Connor’s lap who was running his fingers throughhis hair.
Jon and Damian were resting on the other couch in thesame position as their older brothers however, Master Damian was reading a bookto Master Kent and young Master Kent was smiling as he listen to Damian’s softvoice.
Master Todd and Master Grayson were shouting-or tryingwith the gags on their mouth-to be released. All in all it was a typical Fridaynight.
He wanted to ask but at the same time was afraid to,after all if he had to guess it involved his sweets and the boys not being ableto get some. Taking a deep breath, he shakes his head as he headed for thekitchen. He’ll wait until the boys are done watching TV and released MasterGrayson and Master Todd before announcing his surprise.
