I’m sorry, but I actually feel as though Farah wouldn’t get as flustered as you described her to be. She’s a confident woman, who knows her worth. I think she’d actually quip back at you:

Farah knows her worth. Years of being talked down upon, years of being degraded and treated as something subhuman filled her with a certain kind of rage that I couldn’t even begin to describe if I tried. She’s not going to get shy around you. Sure, she can be extremely sweet towards you too, but she’s probably not going to get too flustered if you’re being overly romantic towards her. She’s suffered enough, don’t you think you deserve a soft epilogue, my love? She certainly believes so. In fact, she can be quite playful, so I think she might actually just try to fluster you instead, whether it be in Arabic or English doesn’t matter to her. Besides, if you get too cocky around her, she will push your buttons as well. Oh, you wanna kiss her so bad, don’t you? It actually makes you look stupid. Well, she’s going to take advantage of that. If you rile her up enough, despite not being the tallest, she will trap you against the wall and work her charm. In spite of everything that has happened to her, she hasn’t given up entirely on love yet. Sure, it seems unlikely to someone like her, but if there’s a will there’s a way. She will playfully tease you instead, doing everything she can to fluster you. She’s extremely grateful to have found someone, who loves her despite everything, though. Yes, she’s kinda messed up, she has to consider her every move carefully before she’s being branded a terrorist by the rest of the world. The fate of her people resides upon her shoulders, after all. But underneath all of that? She’s actually a really loving and sweet woman, who would love nothing more than to ride a motorcycle with you and gaze upon the stars of Urzikstan with you. If she’s being soft? Don’t tease her. She lets her walls around you for once, it’s more than anyone else ever gets to experience.

so the most recent post from you reminded me- you're not a zosan fan (neither am I tbh) so what DO you support for sanji (in terms of ships or HCs)

I had to sit on this for a bit since I got home but I do have a few ride or dies so we can start there.

SanUso numero um campeao del mundo!! I love love love sanuso so much.... they have a number of really good scenes together and I'm so tired or I'd try and pull them up but off the top of my head in Water 7 when Sanji worries about if Usopp will come back, and earlier in the arc with Enies Lobby calling Usopp their sniper and getting very excited to see him back...

If Oda wasn't a coward post ts or at least post wci Sanji would be fat. Fatness and weight gain as healing is so important and thematically fits for Sanji as a character especially with all of his backstory but alas.

In terms of gender/sexuality I'm pretty fluid on what I headcanon for him. As long as it makes sense for the scenario I don't care all that much. I know bisexual is really common as a hc for him which is great! I also see him as tentatively genderfluid but I don't think he really knows how to articulate it. Probably with weird food and cooking metaphors.

And the last thing I'm going to say because I'm me and its impossible for me to talk about anything without mentioning Enstars but I think he and Niki share similar worldviews when it comes to food, especially when it comes to feeding the needy, what with Sanji giving Gin the food in Baratie despite being enemies and Niki taking in a strange teenage Rinne he found on the street because he looked hungry and both Gin and Rinne feel indebted to their chefs and saviors. I would love to see a One Piece and Ensemble Stars collab with them specifically someday and not just because they're my favorites from each franchise....

I've always had a complicated relationship with gender.

For the longest time I've just. Existed. Since I was little, I was told that I was a girl, so that's how I lived. But a lot of the time? I didn't "perform girl" correctly. I didn't like the right things, or I didn't react the right way. Sure, I liked plenty of feminine things, but I also rejected that part of myself vehemently. I was considered a "tomboy," but that didn't feel quite right either. And fuck, did my family DESPERATELY want me to start being just a little bit girly. I mean, shit, I remember when I was a teen and I was talking to my mom, my mom had asked me what I wanted one of my aunts to get me for Christmas. I just said make up, not because I wanted it, but because I knew it would make my aunt happy. I would finally be doing something girly, which I hadn't done since the 5th or 6th grade. Honestly, at that point I really didn't care. As long as my family was happy, then I'd be happy. Right? That was the way it was supposed to work? Right?

I've always been pretty firm with my... Grab bag of sexuality, I guess. I'm demi through and through, both sexual and romantic, and I consider myself bi as well. Those are all a part of me, a VERY important part of me.

But it took me YEARS to finally be brave enough to start exploring my gender and why I felt the way I felt. It took me until I turned 21 to finally start embracing myself and embracing the fact that I am feminine despite not being a girl. I'll still catch myself sometimes bringing myself down by going "haha not to be a girl," but I know that isn't the way I should talk about myself. There's nothing wrong with being a girl. There's nothing wrong with presenting femme. Like sure, I'm not a fucking girl, I'll set that one straight immediately, but I also just... Don't care. I am me. I'm Manda. My gender is myself. Manda-gender.

I want to be recognized for who I am. And that is Manda.
