warnings: one-sided pining, angst (cuz you love it), guilty peter, very bad person peter, arguments, and maybe fluff idk

part one part two part three
"You should consider Ned."
Betty shows a smile, one to only be described as sarcastic before shrugging, digging through more clothes in her closet.
"Yeah, sure, maybe, but I'm more of a committee kinda girl." She offers, pulling out a black plaid skirt, turning to face you.
You accept the skirt from her hold, scanning the fabric curiously before giving her a nod in approval, to which she claps her hands together in excitement to.
"When's prom anyway?" You wonder, putting the black plaid skirt in your bag with the many other donated clothing your friend had gave you.
"Like couple weeks?" The blonde shrugs, closing her closet door before spinning toward you and made her way to the edge of her bed.
Betty had invited you over her house so she could "put you in something" nice for an upcoming date you had with a boy you had been dating for well over a few weeks now.
It was safe to say that asking her for an outfit recommendation wasn't the smartest of ideas, but it's not like you had many other girl friends to ask.
And your blonde friend was definitely the more expert of boys than you were (obviously), despite her having the lesser advance of dating when it came to them.
"What's his name again?" Betty asks, sitting next to you as she sorts through your clothes and folds them neatly.
You fight the urge to roll your eyes at her motherly habit.
"Miles." You answer.
"The junior?!" Betty gasp, you can see eyes light up in excitement and can't help but nod and smile widely.
"Yeah." You confirm.
Miles was the better half of you, probably the best version if you were being honest. He wasn't toxic, a sweet boy, and always knew what the right thing to say was at the most inconvenient times. Of course, he was a nerd, or what you'd call a dork (guess you had a type).
It took you a while to come to terms with the fact that the boy had a crush on you, for...well, many reasons, but once the sun came down and reality settled in, you slowly found yourself noticing him more than just a quiet classmate in your physiology class.
Though it took awhile for you to come to terms with those feelings given the fact you had just gotten out of a relationship at the time, but you deserved to be happy, not wanting to dawn too much on your trouble passed.
"He's been asking you out for like, ever." The blonde points out and you laugh as you give her a nod.
"Right, like I felt bad when I kept saying no, and it's only because I was fresh out of a relationship." You explain as Betty nods, reorganizing the closet she messed up on behalf of you.
Miles tried one last time to ask you out on a date, and you finally gave in, though you weren't full healed from your previous relationship, but you figured you weren't the type of person to lead someone on and deserved to be happy with someone who you knew would give what you craved for.
Miles was the perfect example of providing happiness, even if he himself didn't really know that.
When you said yes, you were your nervous self and immediately asked Betty, who was more than thrilled to help.
"And he's so cute." You sigh dreamily.
Betty laughs, closing her closet before turning back around and made her way to you once again.
"You think he's gonna ask you to prom?" She wonders, and you give her a look of confusion.
Honestly, you had little to no thoughts about prom given the fact that who you thought you were originally going to go with wasn't an option anymore. After the past couple of months, you had not given prom a single thought, because by default, there was truly no point in thinking you were going unless your blonde friend forced you against your will to go.
Had you known you'd be dating someone else as the deadline got closer, you'd given it much more thought, but neither you or Miles had voiced your opinion on it, so you automatically assumed he didn't want to go or just didn't have the right courage to ask you.
"I dunno, not something we really talk about." You say with a shrug.
"You should ask him, you're the senior."
You give Betty a look one would describe as if she suggested something completely outrageous.
"No, no that's not a good idea. I think we'll just see how this goes, and if it comes up I'll see how he feels about it." You quickly explain, Betty only shrugs.
"And if he doesn't wanna go I'll take you." She smirks.
"I figured."
You both let out a laugh.
-
You knew being the ex of a superhero would eventually come back to bite you in the ass.
It wasn't like you could avoid him forever, he was your Queens hero, so yes, you were aware that you did have to hear high praise about him from time to time.
But it being from Miles, the guy you were seeing was weird.
Of course he didn't know of Spider-Man's true identity, but it was eery having to hear your current boyfriend sing praises to your ex boyfriend.
You weren't a mean person either, so you let him.
"And when he beat up those muggers," Miles reenacts most of the accurate actions Spider-Man does. "It was really cool." He smiles from ear to ear at you and all you do is force one back.
"Yeah, well, that's Spider-Man for you." You begin to pick at your food, wanting more than anything to have this conversation come to an end.
Miles being no idiot, notices your lack of interest into the subject of Spider-Man.
"Oh, am I being annoying? I'm sorry." He deflates and you're quick to stop picking at your food to look at him.
"No, no it's not that you're being annoying, I swear. I just...." You trail off.
You were wondering exactly what would happen if you told him you dated Spider-Man. It probably would end up being more questions than jealousy.
And you were in no mood for either.
"I have a friend who works for the Daily Bugle, so you can imagine how much I have to hear about him." You lie and Miles lets out a small chuckle at your sentence.
"Right, I'll make sure to only mention him when completely necessary."
All you really can do is smile at him. Miles was too good to be true, you really had no idea what you could have done to earn such a perfect boy.
Minus the here and there mentions of your ex boyfriend, you'd like to think the date was going well.
You were so nervous as the days went by, getting closer to this well anticipated date and the butterflies never really left when the day became real.
Miles was no surprise a gentleman, bringing your favourite flowers to you and compliments fell from his lips the minute he saw you. He made you feel good.
You two decided on a pasta date only because you expressed how much you loved Italian food and he was more than happy to take you to his favourite Italian spot with its thankfully cheap food.
After the date, he offers to walk you home, and you accept it a bit too eagerly, hoping he wasn't so observant to notice.
You decide to fill the comfortable silence with a question.
"Got any plans for the summer?"
Miles gives you a look as he holds your hand, absentmindedly swinging it back and forth before deciding to answer your question.
"Hm, not really. I just do whatever my parents have in mind." He shrugs.
You nod, giving his hand a small squeeze.
"I mean, we can do stuff?" You suggest awkwardly, your free hand fiddling with the necklace around your neck.
The boy's eyes light up at your suggestion and you can't help but smile at his look of happiness, and he starts nodding before he speaks up.
"I'd love that, totally." He grins and you look ahead of you as you watch your building become more into view.
You both continue your walk, chatting about anything that came in mind and the more you talked, the more you come to realize how much you two have in common.
It was like fate was falling into your hands, and you couldn't be more than happy. It was all too good to be true and you made the mistake of trusting fate in your previous relationship, only to be severely traumatized and heartbroken.
You prayed to any god above Miles was nothing like Peter, if anything, better.
Peter. It had been a long time since you said that name, let alone thought it.
Your train of thoughts are broken when you reach the entrance of your apartment building and you smile at Miles, watching him return it with his gorgeous white teeth.
"I'll see you at school?" Miles slowly drops your hand as you give him a nod.
"Yeah, today was really fun." You tell him honestly and his smile never really goes away.
Before the boy even has a chance to respond, you lean in to give him a kiss on the cheek.
You two never had any sort of intimate moment, even anything as small as this, so you were a blushing mess when you pull away to watch his reaction, noticing his adorable brown eyes dilated and if you pay closer attention, you could almost see the heat rising to his face.
"That good?" He quips and you playfully roll your eyes.
"Bye Miles." You wave as he gives reciprocates it, turning around with a bounce to his step (which you can't help smile at his dorkiness), walking more and more out of view.
You smile to yourself as you make your way to your apartment, and you only wish you knew this'd be your last time at feeling even remotely happy.
-
You were starting to believe someone was out to get you. Maybe fate wasn't actually falling in your hands and you just had this habit of attracting bad things whenever something good came your way.
This time around, it was not your fault for the bad things happening to you, it was Peter's.
You thought you two had this silent agreement that after you found your closure, you'd never have to talk to each other again, which was going well for the past few months, avoiding each other like the plague or just simply pretending either or did not exist.
For some reason though, the boy couldn't take the hint and it was bringing back old nightmares you didn't want to relive.
Peter had this habit of sticking to you like a bug (no pun intended) and you were worried it had something to do with the still lingering feelings he clearly still had for you, which is something you did not know until you started seeing Miles.
When you said you hadn't thought about Peter in a very long time, you meant it as three days sober without the boy trying to ruin your life. You really had no idea why it was a problem for Peter to be happy for you when you were more than supportive for his now ex relationship with MJ.
Michelle wasn't too keen on telling. you the details of why they broke up after two months of dating, but you had this feeling it had something to do with you, which is so selfish, but Peter being Peter can't help but make the obvious, well, obvious.
Every conversation you have with him ends in an argument, a petty one at most.
So, when he approached your locker, you were prepared for the worst.
"Are you still coming to the decathlon meeting?" Is the first thing he asks you, and it's not like you're expecting an 'hi, how are you?', most of your conversations nowadays are usually straight to the point.
"Why?"
"Because, you never go anymore? Like, what type of question is that..." Peter mumbles the last bit, but you hear it, and you take a deep breath in to not say anything back.
"We'll see, I might hang out with Miles after school." You shrug as you close your locker and you see Peter roll his eyes from the corner of your eye.
"If you're gonna keep ditching, what's the point in being on the team?" Peter questions almost hypocritically.
"You're one to talk." You argue.
"That's different. I have a reason to, you? Not so much." He shrugs and you let out a scoff and turn to walk away, not wanting to be predictable and provoke an oncoming argument.
And as also predicted, Peter follows you like a lost puppy.
"Do you always have to hang out with him after school?" He quizzes, and you stop in your tracks, to give him a questionable look.
"Well yeah, that's what boyfriend and girlfriends do Peter. Once upon a time, we use to do that exact thing." You narrow your eyes at the boy as he looks anywhere but at you.
Again, you're not the smartest person alive, but it was painfully obvious Peter for some reason still harboured feelings for you and you were all sorts of confused as it was him who broke up with you in the first place.
You just wanted him to leave you alone, you've been through so much because of him, but yet, he can't take the hint no matter what you do.
"I know, and I still feel bad about breaking up with you." Peter sighs and you shake your head quickly.
"No, please Peter, stop while you're at it." You warn, watching the boys face visibly deflate at your rejection.
Peter was not stupid (most of the time), so you knew that he knows just how good he was at being a manipulator. His favourite technique was obviously guilt-tripping and being the best at putting the blame on others because he's "been through so much". You learned that the hard way, and now you were glad you could point out the red flags whenever he tried to do exactly that.
"What? I'm not doing anything." He shrugs innocently and you roll your eyes at his faux innocence.
Before you could voice your comeback, the bell rings and you let an all too familiar feeling settle in your stomach.
You decide to keep the silence in between you both, turning around to walk to your class and dare you even try to look back at Peter.
You both knew this was not the end of it, if anything, only the beginning of something worst.
-
It had been a week since that encountrment with Peter, and of course things have gotten progressively worst for you. All because of him.
Quite frankly, you had no idea why your ex boyfriend was so obsessed with you. Yeah, most exes are and normally it'd be the other way around but when you two were together he never made such an effort as he was trying to make now.
It was painfully annoying and you keep wishing he'd leave you alone, but its almost as clear as day that he will not do that until you rekindle whatever relationship you had to begin with.
Miles is thankfully unaware of Peter's obsession and he has been the best boyfriend (dare you say you've ever had), and unknowingly helping you keep your mind off of things Peter related or not.
"What if we don't go to the movies and just watch one at my place?" Miles suggested, placing a fry in his mouth after he finishes his sentence.
You look up from your shake and tilt your head for a moment to think about his not so subtle suggestion.
"Y'know most movie watchings at home with your significant other leads to a make out session?" You shrug just as Miles eyes widen at your words.
You were kidding of course but you didn't want to tell him that because his reaction was just so adorable.
"Is that a known statistic or...?"
You shrug again and drink your milkshake.
Miles continues to stare at you, digesting your suggestion slowly before nodding his head rather out of habit or he started to consider what you had said.
"I mean, sure why not?" He smiles and you wipe the whipped cream from the corner of your mouth and retort his smile.
It was rare for you and Miles to have any alone time because you both were just so awkward, more awkward than your previous ex boyfriend but you guess it was justifiable considering Miles was a year younger than you and from what you know, barely had knowledge of how girls worked.
You weren't any better, but you at least had some understanding ono how to have a boyfriend and it wasn't anything to be taken seriously because you two were having fun.
On the plus side, you had a plan to ask him to prom (after the whole make out session), and there was this strange feeling that made you have hope because even to a blind person anyone could see how smitten he was with you.
"Are you saying 'sure, why not' to making out with me?"
Miles blinks rapidly before shrugging. "Yeah?"
You nod and play with a fry, the door's bell ringing indicating someone has entered, but you pay no mind to it.
"So are we gonna like...watch the movie first or y'know, make out..first, I mean." Miles clears his throat as you look up, tilting your head.
"Well its not like a thing planned out so, we can just see what happens." You answer unsurely. Honestly, most of half your movie watching with Peter always lead to make outs on some level, but you never really understood how they happen.
But, this thankfully is not about Peter, who broke your heart because he was in love with someone else, Peter who is your Queens superhero, Spider-Man, and Peter, who was walking toward you?
You blink a few times to make sure your head isn't playing tricks on you and once you have time to think, you realize that, yes he is walking toward you, and you have no time to run or hide.
"Do you think we could do that first?" Miles asks with a small smile and you look away from the approaching Peter back to your boyfriend way too quickly for your liking.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" You furrow your eyebrows and show what you hope was an apologetic smile and not a nervous one.
"Hey guys." The tortuous voice you had no option but facing greets and you watch Miles and only Miles as he looks away from you to show a friendly smile towards Peter, who you are surely becoming more loathing towards.
"Oh, hey Peter," Miles spares you a glance as you shake your head.
One thing about Peter is that he's the kind of guy to set his mind on a goal and make it his mission to achieve it, so whatever it was that he had planned that involved you, you knew that all your interactions so far was merely just the beginning, and it scared you.
"Didn't know you two would be here." Peter presses his lips together, something he did when he was either nervous or lying, and you had a feeling it was the latter.
You remain silent, which evidently did not help with the awkwardness, but you weren't going to give into Peter's satisfaction and talk to him when you were here to enjoy your date with Miles and not acknowledge the boy who broke your heart.
You could feel your heartbeat speed up, and not in a good way. It was the kind of anxiety someone experience when something unpropitious lingered, like a bad taste in your mouth.
You wanted to get up, take Miles' hand and drag him and yourself out of the diner, but you didn't want to come off as rude and have your poor boyfriend question the sudden departure from the establishment, but deep down you knew that it was either that or suffer through the presence of Peter Parker.
"You wanna join us?" Miles offers, gesturing towards the table with a friendly smile, you only frown at your plate of fries.
"Oh no thanks, I'm already meeting a friend." Peter declines, shrugging his shoulders with a small smile.
Mentally, you thank god for the boy declining Miles offer, because frankly, things are already awkward enough. You can feel the tension growing more uncomfortable with each passing second, and you're wishing the waitress hurried up with the bill.
Your boyfriend mumbles a small 'oh', and nods his head before glancing at you, probably wondering why you're suddenly so quiet.
Theres another deafening silence that dawdles in the air and you press your lips together to withhold the grimace forming on your face, because you can't stand any sort of undetermined traction.
Peter lets out a nervous laugh and clears his throat. "I should go, nice seeing you Miles." He doesn't spare you a glance (not that you care) and leaves you and your boyfriend alone, finally.
You look up as Miles watch Peter walk to a far booth away from the both of you, shortly after he's done staring down the boy he looks at you with furrowed eyebrows.
"Does he hate you or something? A blind person could point out the tension." He says with a small frown of confusion.
You shrug and play with a fry. You could keep the truth to yourself or just give Miles the honest answer, which could just make things even more awkward. There's a small debate in your head for five more seconds before you sigh.
"I mean, we dated for awhile a couple months ago." You mumble, keeping your gaze on your half empty plate.
"You dated him?" Miles gasps as you nod silently.
"That makes sense,"
You give him a look as he shrugs.
"He seems like he still has some feelings for you if the tension was that awkward." Miles explains as the waitress finally comes to the table with your bill.
You grab the receipt as you replay his words in your brain. The signs couldn't be more clearer, even if you evidently tried to ignore the fact that Peter still had feelings, it was almost pointless to remain oblivious if even your new boyfriend could see how your old one felt.
"Yeah, well its in the past." You shrug as you stand up from the booth. Miles does the same and holds out his hand for you to take and you smile and accept his offer.
As the two of you make your way out of the diner, you feel a pair of eyes on you but you don't have the energy to turn and scan every single face just to find the culprit who's staring you down. Plus it certainly doesn't take a rocket scientist to know exactly who that culprit is.
A comfortable tranquility takes over when you and Miles walk hand in hand, the warmth flowing from his touch is a solace to the chaotic life that is yours and your mind is temporarily at peace when you're with him.
Fall was leisurely making its way into winter as you felt the freezing air ruminate your skin, the comfortable yet small sweater doing almost nothing to shield you from the chilly air.
You're thankful Miles' hand in yours keeps you from completely freezing to death. His fingers were more of a heater than the thin layer you dare called a sweater.
"Why'd you two breakup, if you don't mind me asking?" Miles' voice is soft as he asks a question you'd much rather not ask since the wound of that scar has yet to heal, but you're not going to hold the curiosity of your boyfriend against him.
"Um," You search for the best way to explain the words stuck in your brain. "He kind of just, fell for someone else." You grimace at the memories climbing its way to your mind and you spare no glance at Miles.
There's a sensitive silence that looms in the air and you assume its because Miles takes the time to digest your words.
"Oh,"
"Yeah, but I'm over it so don't feel bad." You reassure and you look over to the boy with a small smile and he unsurely smiles back with a nod.
"Hey, so I was thinking..." He starts and looks down at the pavement the two of you were walking on. You raise an eyebrow, gazing at him as you patiently wait for him to continue with whatever it was he was willing to open up to you.
"I know you're a senior, and I'm a junior but I really think you and I should go to prom." Miles blurts and looks at you just as quickly as you look at him, both of your eyes widen.
"Prom?"
You couldn't help but smile at his suggestion, because you were itching to ask him ever since Betty brought the idea to your head. You just didn't know how to go about asking him, and you did plan to make it all romantic like, since it would've counted as a 'promposal'. Miles most likely asked you because the deadline was just two weeks away, and that gave you no time whatsoever to find a prom dress.
"Yeah, if you wanna go with me, I'd really like that. My mom already bought the tickets so..." He trails off and you raise your eyebrows in surprise.
Now you couldn't say no, not that you had any thoughts to reject his proposal. Never even haven met Miles' parents, or mother, and she was already so eager to see her son and his new girlfriend she had no face but a name to, to go to prom together. Your smile that never really went away extends into a grin.
"I think you stole the words straight from my mouth." You nod as your boyfriend grins from ear to ear and you two stop walking, awhile ago you notice.
Miles pulls you into a hug and you laugh whole-heartedly at his embrace, hugging him back as the comfort embeds through your body.
"Thank you." He mumbles before pulling away slightly to stare at you as if you hung the stars in the sky, which makes you blush and smile with a soft hum.
"You're welcome."
-
You flinch when your blonde friend tightens the string of the prom dress and you glare at her through the mirror as she mutters a apology.
"This hugs your body so nice, I'll buy it for you." She promises for the 100th time and you roll your eyes and take a step back to observe the dress in your reflection.
If you were as confident as you desired to be, you'd say that this dress had been the one from all the other ninety-nine others your friend had made you tried on.
The dress was your colour, it fit you nicely the way you wanted it to, and you felt beautiful in it. Since dresses weren't really your thing you opted to wear a suit to which your blonde friend gasps in horror as if the option was completely ludicrous and off the table. She told you it was fruitless to wear such a thing to a ball because Miles most definitely would already be wearing a nice tux and it'd be corny to have you in one as well.
You agreed to let her put you in dresses and such like a barbie and you went to your local dress store where she had only made you try on a gazillion outfits until you found the one you were currently wearing, making you absentmindedly check yourself out in the mirror in front of you.
"You look like a twenty-five year old model that Leonardo DiCaprio would go for!" Betty squeals and claps her hands together. You shake your head at her weirdly sweet but yet more disturbing compliment.
"Thanks?" You furrow your eyebrows and turn to look at her.
Betty twirls you around like a princess, observing your fit from head to toe. Almost like an artist critiquing its art.
"I think you'll have Miles speechless." She grins and you smile hopefully. "Really?" Betty nods.
The mirror made you look almost angel like as you stare back at it. You really did feel gorgeous in the gown and you really wanted it to make yourself feel good, and you knew anytime of dress, or even a garbage bag would look good to your boyfriend because he really is that perfect.
"'M gonna go see if I can find any shoes," You hear Betty's voice and you nod as you look at the corset of the dress, tracing your fingers across the fabric slowly.
You continue to check yourself out in the mirror and a person behind you clears her throat and you turn around swiftly, surprised to see Michelle standing there with a shopping bag and an almost glare had you paid close attention to the glare.
Your hand fiddles with the necklace around your neck and she looks you over and your self-consciousness arises with her gaze.
Michelle had not been the nicest person, to anyone really since she broke up with Peter and the quiet girl went MIA from school and the decathlon team. You felt terrible for the poor girl, because there were the obvious reasons and maybe even reasons you didn't know about as of why her and Peter broke up.
"Your dress is gorgeous on you." She hums and you look at her with an unwavering blank stare. The confusion must had been evident on your face because MJ shakes her head with a sigh.
The tension consumed the vibe of both your presence. You speak up in a calm manner.
"Look, I don't know if you hate me or something but I'm really sorry, you deserve so much better MJ." You look at her with an empathetic gaze.
"Michelle." She corrects.
Your nose scrunches up in a small grimace.
"Right, Michelle. Sorry." You nod in understanding.
"I don't blame you for the break up, but we both know." Michelle gives you a look, the only thing you can do is nod once again. Your head gazes at her converses with a defeated sigh, nothing coming to your mind to say to her because yes, you do know.
The tension fades away when the bubbly girl who is your friend, Betty returns with shoes that match your dress with a happy grin and holds them up to you.
"Cute, right?" She shows you her pearly whites and you give her a thumbs up, watching Michelle walk past the two of you and Betty catches the back of the girl's head and looks at you with a raised eyebrow.
You shake your head quickly, not wanting to talk about it.
After the whole short but definite straining conversation with Michelle you try to take your mind off it, changing into your regular clothes and both you and Betty buy the dress you're satisfied with as well as the shoes and you suggest ice cream for lunch and she agrees without hesitation.
-
"Divina!" Mrs. Morales exclaims and takes another picture. You try to keep your smile prominent for the maybe millionth picture? You lost count.
When you arrived at the Morales household, Miles' mother was the one to answer and she had gave your mother a look of disbelief, small praising spanish words fell from her lips with a smile. You were already feeling hopeful and just to hear the praising words from your boyfriend's mother who you did officially meet for the first time, was rewarding to say the least.
Miles came down from the stairs, looking quite handsome in his tux and the way his jaw dropped when he saw you standing there with your mother, looking around his apartment aimlessly had been an out of body experience for you, because no one had ever looked at you the way he did, not even Peter.
"Mama, por favor!" He groans from next to you and you laugh as your mother does as well.
Mrs. Morales finally stops taking pictures, placing her camera on the counter nearby.
"Sorry, sorry. You two just look so good together." She smiles and turns to your mother, showing her the pictures she had took.
You turn your attention to Miles, who now takes the time to hold up the container of which had your corsage in it up to you, a silent question and you nod as an answer.
The boy slowly and yet so carefully opens the container, taking out the corsage and slipping it around your wrist, taking ahold of your hand after he finishes, looking from your wrist to your eyes that had already been staring at him.
"You look really pretty, beautiful even." Miles whispers, but before you can say anything there's a flash and the both of you tear your gazes away from each other, to the culprit at hand, Mrs. Morales and your mother both have their phones in their hands with ear to ear grins as they capture the memory of your little moment.
The two of you groan in annoyance at the ruined gravity of peace.
-
The dance was like anything you could had ever imagined, from the sequence sparkling chandelier lights dangling from the ceiling, illuminating the gym with an almost elegance aura, to the blue and white decorations to represent your school colours made you feel like you were at a ball rather than the prom.
"This can't be the same gym as our school's." Miles hand was in yours as the two of you enter the gymnasium, and you giggle at his words, watching many bodies chatter or dance with each other.
He was right, the gym you were used to always had a weird smell and it unquestionably had no qualities to hold students for a senior prom, yet you were proven other wise.
The two of you make your way further into the dance and you see Betty with Ned, which you find ironic since she had sung a tune in your ear that she would much rather be helping set up the prom and keep it well done than ever consider having Ned take her as a date. You tilt your head at the girl with a knowing look, her only retort is rolling her eyes.
The night was bound to be full of surprises, you suspect.
"You look great guys!" Ned smiles and fist pumps Miles, an adorable thing the two of them did whenever they ran into each other, and you hug Betty as well as Ned.
"Thank you."
Your gaze scan the dance once again, your anxiety rises when you catch a familiar set of brown eyes walking towards your group.
Never in a million years would you had ever thought Peter Parker to attend a dance without a date. It was a out of character thing to observe, but it was true since every year from the ninth grade, stopping at last year, you two attended every single dance together, even making a promise that if you were to break up before prom that neither of you would participate in said dance.
Times had changed of course, given you now had a new boyfriend, attending with him instead of Peter, but the brown haired boy had no date and that is what you truly found weird. But you had no room to judge him, ultimately, it was none of your business, nor did you care why he was even here.
The way he looked at you as he made his way towards you made you nervous for a multitude of possibilities. He had never made the effort to give you such attention before, but there was something in his eyes that gave you an unsettling feeling, a feeling that you were growing accustomed to since he broke up with you all those months ago.
The gut feeling as if something bad foretold in the air.
Once Peter had successfully made it over to the four of you, his gaze never actually left yours and you had to subtly hide behind Miles to inaudibly declare your uncomfortable state, though sadly it went unnoticed as your boyfriend converses with Ned.
"Peter, you look very handsome." Betty voices, causing the two boys to stop their chatter and look over to the boy who broke his gaze away from you (finally), clearing his throat, giving your blonde friend a small tight-lipped smile and greeted Ned with their signature handshake.
Miles gives Peter a nod and he reciprocates it. You look down at your heels, that were a pain to walk in, avoiding eye contact with the brown haired boy.
Thanking the gods from above, Miles takes your hand with a smile and you look up at him with your own, ignoring, shutting out, whatever you want to call it, Peter's gaze that you sensed form into a glare.
"Let's go dance." Betty quickly drags Ned away, being little to no help with the eye-twitching obvious tension between you, Miles and Peter.
Why had Peter made it his mission to give you an anxiety inducing, gut wrenching run for your money every time you two interacted? You wish you knew, you really did.
You fiddle with the necklace and Peter takes notice of it and speaks his mind, and you wish he hadn't.
"I like your necklace." He nods and you stop your fidgeting to glare at him, watching the boy smile innocently. This, of course draws the attention of your boyfriend.
"Oh yeah, cool spider necklace." He smiles.
Peter could careless if you were glaring at him, and you felt your anger boil through your entire body, ready to attack him had he have the audacity to say something sly from his mouth once again.
You both knew that Peter was the one to had given you the very necklace you wore around your neck, almost everyday and the reason you didn't take it off was unclear, but you knew deep down it had nothing to do with Peter, or maybe it did but it was not like you still had the feelings for him you once had before.
It was a shame that the boy took pride in the gloating fact you still wore it, but it wasn't for him. More so, for you.
"Miles, do you wanna dance?" You look over to your boyfriend with a smile and he quickly nods like you had just offered him candy, Peter frowns and you glance at him before walking off to the dance floor.
The two of you make your way to the centre of the gym, most students still danced or talked nearby, but you paid no mind to it as you wrap your arms around Miles' neck, he was unsure where to put his hands and you smile at his awkwardness.
With pleasure, you guide his hand to your waist, he understands with ease. His hands on your waist was a comforting experience for both you and him. As if on time, the music switched from a Taylor Swift song you briefly recognized to a slow song, an Elvis Presley one at that.
You can't help but notice the way he was looking at you with a small smile, but his eyes held adoration in them, and it was the same look he always gave you, but his longing stare was more amplified than per usual, it made your heart speed up and you could feel the heat rise to your cheeks.
Your neck begin to itch with anxiety, but it was the good kind and you were so happy that you were able to feel easiness that you had been looking for in the past year.
Miles was the person you were meant to be with, and you felt like nothing could get in the way between you both. No matter how hard Peter tried to slither his way back into your life, the better person will always be Miles.
The solace is beautiful, the two of you holding each other as 'Can't help falling in love with you' (ironic), played in the background, other classmates were dancing as well, but they disappeared from your mind. Everyone but your boyfriend blocked out from your brain, the both of you looked at each other with such protection and warmth that you failed to notice which one of you even leaned closer.
The kiss was short, sure but it was confounding and so very soft. You pulled away with a, looking down as Miles laughed at your behaviour.
"That was nice." He nods and you look back at him with raised eyebrows. "Yeah."
"Thirsty?"
You nod as the slow song comes to an end, pulling away from him, but still close enough to feel his residence.
"I'll be quick." Miles promises and gives your cheek a kiss, turning his back to you and walks toward the punch table, that was more of a buffet if anything, given the unnaturally amount of food and desserts decorating the furniture piece.
You gnaw slightly at the bottom of your lip with a smile, and your fingers trace the spider trinket of the necklace around your neck, a voice interrupts your dreamy thoughts from behind you and you turn around.
"Can we talk? I know I say that a lot for the past three chapters of our conversations, but...please." Peter walks closer to you and you take a step back when he does, your hand falls to your side with a frown.
"Not now, or maybe ever." You scoff, attempting to walk away from him but he gently steps in your way.
This was going to take a turn for the worst, that much you could tell.
"Please!" He gives you puppy dog eyes, and looks at you as if this was the last thing he will ever get the chance to do. You groan before giving in.
"Make it quick."
Peter nods and lets go of your arm, trailing his eyes from your necklace down to your dress, the words spill from his mouth before you could even comprehend them.
"I love you." He breathes, and your heart drops to your stomach.
"Stop."
You try to walk away again, because your head was starting to hurt and you didn't have it in you to deal with Peter's bullshit.
"No, listen to me, just listen." Peter quickly shakes his head and steps in your way once more and you notice his heartbroken stare.
"I get that you hate me, I understand that you want nothing to do with me and you're with Miles, but I love you. It took me way too long to realize that, but I--I do." The brown haired boy runs a hand through his hair in frustration, you keep quiet to let him speak his mind.
You were long gone out of love with Peter Parker, the same boy who broke your heart on your birthday, because he was in love with someone else. He for some reason thinks it'd be a good idea to express his feelings at a school dance that you had gone with, with your boyfriend, that was not him.
The deju vu was eating through your body, you were wondering where the hell Miles was with that punch.
"It's too late to even tell you this, but thats why MJ broke up with me, not because I told her but I mean she's a perspective girl so...y'know." Peter shrugs in defeat as you nod slowly, your head still trying to digest his words.
"Peter, you're so stupid." You finally say and he blinks in utter confusion, but you continue anyway.
"You have no right to tell me you love me, months later and I mean months later. Because its unfair and it's selfish, you put me through hell and back, only to do it again once I find a little ounce of happiness." You ramble in anger, not knowing what else to say as you try to put all your thoughts into one simple breakdown for him.
"I know--"
"No, you don't." You cut him off quickly and held up a finger in his face. "Because if you knew like you claimed, you wouldn't had made it your life's mission to seek out attention from me or whatever the hell it is you're trying to do. I was happy for you and MJ, I grew to accept that, so why can't you do the same for me?"
Peter's face switch from confusion and hurt to a glaring look within seconds, and you almost regret your words.
"You told me you loved me while I was trying to meet ends with MJ, and now you're telling me I can't do the same? To the person who's wearing a birthday gift I gave her, around her boyfriend." He argues and sadly, he does have a point.
You were lost for words for a brief moment and Peter scoffs at your silence.
"That's not fair."
"No, if you throw the ball at me, I'm going to throw it back harder. You claim to not love me anymore but you wouldn't still be wearing that necklace if your feelings changed." Peter takes a step closer to you.
You're paralyzed, not having the energy to fight back as his words sink into your brain. He was so painfully right, you knew deep down no matter how hard you deluded yourself that there was still feelings there, and Peter was your first love, so you can't just completely shut him out of your life, no matter what the boy did or how bad he hurt you.
"I know that...but Peter I'm with someone else. Had you told me this before months ago, maybe things would be different, but you need to stop trying." You're sure these words hurt him more than they hurt you, but you were so sick and tired of the one feeling the rougher end of the stick.
Peter needed a taste of his own medicine anyway.
"Please, stop trying."
He nods his head in a silent bob, the tension simmering down from the screaming steam that loomed around the two of you.
He nods his head in a silent bob, the tension simmering down from the screaming steam that loomed around the two of you.
Peter looked like a kicked dog, which kind of made you frown, but you knew better than anything to try and comfort him in the way he hoped you would.
"Okay."
"Okay?" You furrow your eyebrows at the one word after a few uncomfortable seconds of silence.
"Okay, I'll stop. I want you to be happy, and I shouldn't be the reason you're not." Peter slides his hand into yours and you feel the unsettling consolation within his touch, biting your bottom lip as you watch him sigh with a deflated smile.
"Just know that I do love you, even if you don't feel the same way anymore, I know deep down you do."
You didn't think you'd cry on prom night, but the tears had made an unannounced approach, you were just thankful that the mascara you had on was waterproof.
Quickly, you wipe your tears and nod your head with a clear  of your throat and take a step back.
"I should go look for Miles." You gesture your thumb behind you to nowhere in particular, Peter's hand slip from yours for the very last time. He tilts his head and looks around the gym.
"Alright."
You had no idea of what to do, so you just stare at Peter for a moment as he stares at you.
This boy was truly the love of your life, you did everything together but sometimes not everyone is meant to be.
When he broke your heart on your birthday, you thought you would never find the kind of connection the two of you had again, and it ate at your heart. Peter had ripped it out, and held it in his hand, maliciously squeezing at it but not intending to, because he was as lost as you were, truly.
The two of you didn't know how to love, and that was evident. He thought he loved someone else, but he was wrong. Karma some might say, but you'd call it a life lesson for him. You on the other hand, didn't have any idea what you were doing. Miles wasn't a rebound from Peter, he was a saviour from him. Though not put so nicely, but Peter was an experience to learn from, to grow from and that's what you did.
From the break up, the who kissed who, and the lingering feelings he had for you, you all but hoped Peter would find someone who wasn't you, someone who loved him for him as he could love them for who they were.
You knew it wouldn't be you, and you were glad. Peter deserves happiness as much as you did.
Even if the two of you wouldn't end up hand in hand.

[ENG translation] Joker Out for 24sata: 'Baby Lasagna caused chaos'

They entertained the audience on the main stage performing their biggest hits, including 'Carpe Diem', the song they introduced themselves with at Eurovision in 2023.
"We're excited. We haven't been on stage for over a month. That's a long time for us. It feels a bit like we've never been on stage", the guys from Joker Out told us before their performance at this year's Sea Star Festival in Umag. At the beginning of our conversation, they pointed out that the soundcheck before the performance was terrible, and as they say, that can only mean that the concert will be good. And so it was.
They entertained the audience on the main stage performing their biggest hits, including 'Carpe Diem', the song they introduced themselves with at Eurovision in 2023. The band's frontman, Bojan Cvjetićanin, had a role at this year's Eurovision as well. He collaborated with Slovenia's representative - Raiven, on her song 'Veronika'. He helped her with the lyrics and music. Raiven, whose real name is Sara Briški Cirman, ended as 23rd at the Eurovision, but Bojan says he's proud of her.
- I'm satisfied with the performance Sara prepared and I believe she is also very happy with it. I know she put in a lot of effort, time, love and patience... We didn't watch the final, but when we, of course, checked out what was happening, we saw that in retrospect she didn't get many jury votes. Maybe I expected a few more votes there, but... I believe that for her the success was that she did everything the way she wanted and imagined. As her friend, I'm very proud of her - he told us.
They also commented on our Eurovision representative Baby Lasagna, who is taking part in the Sea Star Festival this year.
- I really want to know what all the hype is about, so I'm staying here on Saturday too to see what his performance will be like
- said Kris Guštin, the guitar player of the band, and Bojan added:
- The song is very catchy, it caused a total chaos in our region, especially in Croatia. It was really nice to see how he surpassed the level of what Eurovision actually was. He touched the people's hearts, and it was more than evident. The reaction of the Croatian people was such, that it warmed my heart as a musician. We're very happy for Marko, and we wish him to turn all that into a successful career. I believe that he's now a bit nervous, because he's working on his first album, but I wish Marko and the Croatian people to continue the mutual support, and all that will be awesome!

“why did i think signing up for morning classes was a good idea? i basically just set myself up.”
that thought ran wild in your head as you stared at your purple lit ceiling. it was was too fucking early to learn psychology but hey, your day was done right after it so, like the “responsible” student you were, you forced yourself out of your bed and put on cute yet comfortable clothes to get yourself started with the day. thankfully, campus wasn’t that far from your off-campus apartment so what’s the point of wasting gas when you could just walk?
perfect timing, 15 minutes early and nobody was there. you picked the most convenient seat in the room and unpacked your folders and notebook to begin with class. not even 10 minutes later, more and more students started rolling in and finding seats beside their friends or people they found attractive to grab their attention.
but then there’s him..
yeah, him the one with the specks and black hair that stood out to you but probably not to everyone else; why is that? you remembered the first time he came in the class, he was just a week behind because of the class switch period but, once he walked in he immediately caught your eye. if you could recall, you believed his name was soobin; tall, pretty face and beautiful lips, everything about him was beautiful and portioned correctly. it’s a shame you were the only one who appreciated his beauty.
“alright guys if you check in our class section, you will see the group that you’re in for the rest of this project so get comfortable with one another cause you’re stuck with them for a while,” a small laugh fell from the professor's lips like it was sooo funny. everybody groaned at the end of his spiel and started moving towards the numbered tables. you were table 2 so you didn’t have to move at all but in the corner of your eye you saw two bodies approaching you.
“you must be—“
“____! hi,” you smiled. you turned your head fully to get a glimpse of your two partners and dear god your luck must be either shitty or great. soobin sat down beside you while the other partner sat across from both of you. to you, this had to be either some sort of punishment or blessing; he smelt so good like freshly folded laundry with a hint of cologne. you couldn’t even imagine what he sounded like too.
you pulled out the rubric of the project quickly before you could turn to the pretty boy and ask him his name. he didn’t seem tense and he didn’t seem nervous to talk either but, he did seem a little standoffish the way he immediately went to write notes down before introducing himself.
“what’s your name?” you asked looking directly at his face hoping to burn holes in them so he could have eye contact with you. the other partner already introduced themself right after asking your name. he finally took his focus away from the notes and looked at your eyes glowing with curiosity as to who the hell he was.
“i’m soobin.”
—————
on your way back home all you could think about was him. the rest of the class he was quiet, only wrote down notes, and typed in the things that he thought would help us out with the project.
“maybe he’s shy,” you convinced yourself. this is the first time you’ve met him so maybe he’s just a little nervous.
before you left the class, you asked your group if they wanted to come to the food court on campus to discuss the project and possibly get to know one another. sadly, the other partner had to attend another class right after so the only one was soobin. to no avail, he looked down at you with an unreadable expression and said, “no.”
it wasn’t like you did something to him so why was he so cold? you brushed it off once you got inside of your apartment and took a quick shower. you threw yourself onto your bed and cuddled up in your sheets to take a quick nap.
it was so blurry. you couldn’t make out anything except for the fact you were in class. everyone was sitting together with their group but you were sitting all by yourself. you checked your phone looking at the time seeing class was going to start in 10 minutes. finally, soobin walked in and took his place beside you smelling good as usual but this time with a little more cologne. the professor came to your table explaining how the other partner dropped the class and how it will just be you and soobin this time. you nodded your head and faced the pretty boy watching him as he eyed your face and then your stature up and down with a sly smirk on his face. “wanna go to the food court?”
you woke up to your ceiling being lit blue this time and the sky dark. you literally just started talking to the boy and here you go having dreams about him but, it was nothing crazy so you went on about your night.
well… you wished it was nothing crazy..
“your partner dropped the class so you and soobin will just be the only group with two people. if you need help with the project just let me know.”
this was too much like deja vu, too much of a coincidence. the dream happened two days ago but you remembered it so vividly when the professor spoke. maybe it was just a foreshadowing, usually dreams like that can happen.
all class, you and soobin worked on the project and he spoke a little more than usual. “i created a doc where we can jot down ideas at the same time,” you spoke taking out the said document. the title was called “the mind of sex;” your group decided to talk about the minds of those and how one’s psych can effect their sexual adrenaline and desires. “i found some sites that can help us as well.”
soobin nodded as his fingers went to work on his computer. honestly, seeing him focus and type away made you wonder what goes on in his head. this topic is definitely going to open some weird behaviors and some awkward feelings but he seemed like he didn’t care. you both are adults after all but you knew this topic would make you feel extremely awkward, especially around somebody so handsome.
“you want to go to the food court?” you blinked once you realized he was staring at you. the shuffling of people packing up and talking about whatever the hell tuned back into you; were you staring that hard?
“oh- yeah we can, sorry..” you never put your stuff away that fast before. the way he asked in such a soft yet deep voice made your cheeks warm. little did you know, soobin knew the effect he had on you, watching you with a little smirk.
—————
days, weeks, even a month passed and this project was close to being finished. every week, you and soobin decided to go to the food court after that class. he’s much warmer than you thought he was, laughing at your jokes, sharing food, and being an amazing partner that didn’t make you do all the work. you also realized that the topic isn’t as awkward as you thought.
“hey you wanna try this ice cream flavor with me? i heard it’s super good,” you asked. you already purchased it and grabbed two spoons getting ready to dig in but you believed it would be better if he tried it with you. he laughed and grabbed the spoon getting ready to taste it with you. your eyes grew wide at the flavour loving it so much while soobin on the other hand hated it.
“yeah.. you can have it..” he gagged, drinking his soda to flush the taste down. you giggled at him and continued eating it with glowing eyes, those same glowing eyes you gave him when you asked him his name. he nibbled on his lip watching you look around while eating it. almost like a little kitten. “…cute.”
you didn’t hear him.
thank god you didn’t.
ironic of him to be saying ‘thank god…’
soobin looked to the right to see two men watching you.
“seems like at least one of them has the hots for you,” he sighed. you looked over to see the two men nod their head up ‘hey.’ you rolled your eyes and looked back at soobin.
“maybe they want you instead,” you smiled, bringing your attention back to your ice cream and phone. soobin wasn’t stupid, he’s a man too after all. you were absolutely beautiful to him and definitely to others, and the way you’re licking around that spoon could have anybody go nuts for you.
yeah.. especially the way you were licking it.
it’s in soobin’s nature, he can’t help it. somebody with such a cute face licking the spoon sinfully can only make his brain run wild. thinking about how you would look getting on your slightly red knees, licking at his clothed dick begging for it to choke yo—
“soobin?” his eyes were dark. way too dark. almost like your dream. lately, you’ve been having dreams about him more and more. they would be normal dreams like you two going to the food court or going on a cute small date but before you would wake, his eyes would look dark. no life, no feeling, just dark. and every time you saw them your stomach would churn. a pool inside your gut will toss and make your face feel hot, almost like you were aroused but it was only for a slight second, not enough for you to fully pinpoint the kind of feeling it was.
but it happened again and this time you weren’t dreaming.
“oh shit, i forgot i have to go! i’ll talk to you later okay, text me when you get home!” before you could even say goodbye he left. you blinked a couple of times before brushing off that anxious feeling. you loved soobin yes, but every once and a while this anxious feeling would come to you, itching your brain like it was telling you to run but you ignored it. soobin has proved himself more and more that he’s a sweetheart and wouldn’t do anything to hurt you. so why was your gut reacting this way?
where were you? it almost looked like your room…maybe? you were burning up, sweat running down your face but your lower half was uncomfortably wet. your gut was tight with arousal wanting nothing more than to get off but you just couldn’t move.
now, it cut to a body. a head actually. your hands gripping their hair as their tongue lapped against your folds and slurped against your clit. every muscle in your body wanted to buck your hips into their mouth, wanting them to go faster but dear god the strength that they had around your hips was inhumane. curses left your lips as you felt that rope begin to snap but why wasn’t it. it felt drawn out like you couldn’t release at all yet you were so close. they sucked harder, using their fingers inside of you hitting that spot every time they curved them up.
“please.. please please i’m so close,” you sighed, knowing your juices were sticking to the bed and the strangers face. their hand came up to your chest, pinching your hardened nipple taking you to the edge but not there. it was only a little bit away. just a little.
“please.. soobin—“
your brain didn’t stop. the dream kept going, completely ignoring the fact you said his name. it was just a dream right, no harm or anything, you couldn’t control it.
if anybody else was living in your apartment, they would definitely hear the noises you were making, such slutty and dirty noises. you tossed and turned in your bed, humping the air feeling like your dream was real.
and it was all his doing.
soobin sat on the balcony, right outside of your window. legs crossed, eyes gold, horns curled, nails long and sharp, and wings larger than the average demon and a long tail with a heart shaped spike at the end. his presence is only sensed by you in your dream, nobody else. he could see how the dream was playing out, making the scenes unfold but to his surprise, before he could bring himself into the mix, you were already begging for him. a shiver ran through his spine after hearing his name fall from your mouth so prettily. his sharp canines bit at his lip, feeling himself get hard at the thought of you bucking up into his face, begging for him to fuck you and make a mess of you.
he’s so close to making you finally his.
—————
the dreams wouldn’t stop. every morning you would wake up unsatisfied, aroused beyond belief at that thought of soobin. he appeared in your dreams more often then at usual doing the most unholy things to you. at one point, there was a time where your plump lips wrapped around his girthy dick, feeling every vein on your tongue, and watching his face with wide eyes. then, there was when he fucked you against the wall, burns on your back from the friction. and then, you sitting on his face, riding his tongue feeling so fucking good.
it was driving you insane.
you would wake up around the same time every night, 3:45 am. your panties soaked with precum and that itch that you needed to fulfill.
the average person would just change their underwear and sleep it off. but you? you couldn’t. you immediately took your phone and scrolled through twitter to find something, just anything to help you finish. your vibrator in one hand with the phone in the other, finding some pretty girl getting pounded by this man with a huge dick just like soobin had in her dream. her moaning, drool coming out of the side of her mouth and cum spilling from her cunt.
maybe it was the lack of sleep.
or maybe it was the frequent dreams about him.
but as you looked at the videos, it seemed like the video changed from the girl to you, and the man to soobin, him being the one pounding into you like you were some lifeless fuck toy.
you felt so guilty. you felt like complete shit, but fuck you couldn’t help it. moaning out his name as you finished yourself off after the blue-balled dream that you had.
yet you still went to class. guilt rushed through your body as you saw the pretty boy walk into class with a big smile on his face as he saw you. you tried to return the favor but the guilt just kept eating at you.
but the devil was winning terribly today.
soobin became awfully clingy today. his hand placed on your thigh, his fingers playing with your own, even a tight back hug here and there and it was driving you insane. your panties soaked once again as you thought about your unforgivable actions, seeing the size difference between your hand and his, wishing it was around your neck instead.
more and more arousal fell into your panties and fuck soobin can smell it. it was intoxicating to him. if he didn’t have all that self control his eyes would’ve immediately turned gold. he both knew that you and him could not fight it off any longer.
“since we have to present on thursday, is it cool if i come over so we can practice it?” he asked. maybe it was because you were eager for a crumb of his presence. or maybe something or somebody was controlling you to answer the way you did.
“yeah sure!”
you both walked together, grabbing snacks along the way. you had some bottles of wine as well so you guys can have a good time.
“you’re really good at speaking,” you told him. you both just ran over lines to get a grasp on it to see how much you both could remember.
“you think so?” he asked, sitting back down beside you taking a sip of his wine. the wine definitely made you feel more loose and not so tense, it’s almost like you forgot about why you were so tense.
“yeah, it’s almost like you’re drawing people in when you talk. its really good.” it’s almost like you were talking from experience. his voice was intoxicating, it drew you in immediately. you two talked more about the subject and ate some of the chips you guys bought as well.
“it’s still funny to me how kinks are considered psychological disorders,” you chuckled watching the tv.
“what? you saying you have some?” he chuckled. yeah he was a demon alright, he knew where this was going and so did you but the wine didn’t make you back down from the question.
“if you tell me yours i’ll tell you mine.”
“oh please,” he laughed. “this has to be a set up. you probably don’t even have one.” you smiled and bit your lip trying to hold back a laugh but you took one more sip of your wine and drew your attention back at him.
“i like… looking at myself in the mirror. is that a kink?” you asked, eating your chips again. usually you’re not like this but this feeling that this man was resonating made every impulsive thought leave your mouth. he looked over at you as he drank his wine, his adam’s apple bobbing up and down.
“you’ve had sex in front of a mirror before?” his voice low and his eyes heavy as he watched your reaction. every hormone that he was giving off was slowly affecting you, your lip between your teeth and your legs closed together trying to calm yourself down. from your reaction, it didn’t seem like you had sex in front of one. “or did you fuck yourself in front of it?”
god you hope he didn’t hear you.
a small gasp came from your lips at his words.
he was so close to jumping on you. the little bit of sanity that he had left stopped him.
“for me,” he began. “i love seeing my partner beg and look helpless under me..”
it was like you were under some spell. words that you understood started to turn into a different language, like it was demonic. your body started to burn up, stomach turning creating that same churn that you had in your dreams. your breath started to quicken as you felt yourself drip into your panties.
“fuck..” you moaned throwing your head back. the trance wouldn’t stop and so did his words, it felt like torture. you gripped onto the arm of the sofa trying to find something to give you leverage. the voices wouldn’t leave your head and this addicting feeling wouldn’t either. where was soobin? was he okay?
just like he read your mind, he looked down at your helpless state, eyes gold and horns showing. his beautiful hand grabbing your face.
“you poor thing,” he whispered. the voices went away but this rope in your gut didn’t. your skin was on fire making you want to rip your clothes off one by one. “doesn’t this feel so familiar?”
what was he talking about? you couldn’t even think, your focus only being on wanting this feeling to go away. but he was right, this did feel familiar.. the fever like temperature, the churning, and his presence, this felt too familiar.
“all those dreams, you thought those were normal?” you moaned at his words, scenes of your dreams played behind your eyelids. you bucked your hips into the air trying to feel something, just anything. you opened your eyes, looking at soobin’s state.
his eyes gold, horns curled, canines sharp.
you’ve heard of this before. an incubus. somebody who comes in your dreams and feast off of your wet dreams. to think it was real… to think it was soobin.
his hand let go of your face but placed it softly under your chin with his thumb caressing your cheek.
“i almost feel bad,” he whispered bringing his face close to yours. “betraying you like this. you look so helpless and confused. it makes me want you more, lovely. do you still love me? you still love the soobin you knew before?”
you can’t be this insane… you swear you couldn’t.
looking at his face, his demon features, and the surprising warmth coming from his hand, it made you spiral.
“so… so pretty…” you whispered. your heart rate sped up the longer you looked at him. you knew it, everything about him screamed he was hiding something and yet you found it so attractive. the darkness in his eyes that he had for a split second every time you looked at him, the sly smirk, the anxious feeling that you got, everything screamed something to you. yet, this soobin was just as beautiful.
you brought your weak hand up, placing it on his cheek. the sharp heart shaped end of his tail slowly moved along with your movement, anticipating your every move.
“pl… please soobin…” you whined, your stomach still churning wanting to feel him inside of you. soobin must’ve gone soft, his heart weak for you after he heard those soft words leave your lips.
he brought himself around and picked you up, placing you against the wall. one of his hands held you up while the other ran up your stomach. his plump lips found yours, canines biting down onto your lip. the sigh of relief that left your lips after finally feeling what you’ve been wanting for months. his large bulge rubbed against your clothed cunt, making you whimper into the kiss.
breaking from the kiss, he made his way to your neck. rubbing his nose against you, taking in your scent and hearing the blood pump through your veins. his lips placed soft kisses against your neck until his tongue found its way.
his fucking tongue. his tongue soft, long, and split slowly taking in the taste of your skin. a groan came from within him, making him buck into you.
“holy fuck…” you breathed. he smiled against your skin at your choice of words. he looked at your face, your eyes low and dark with lust and cheeks flushed. fuck he could’ve came just looking at you. he brought his sharp nail to your shirt, easily ripping it in the center showing your braless chest. he place his hand on you stomach making your chest tighten more. a deep moan came from your lips feeling your blood rush further down to your cunt.
“soobin please…!” you pleaded.
as evil as soobin can be, he has a rule set; in order for him to give you what you wanted, you had to invite him in. this was a form of consent for the demon for you to give him your all andfor him to do the same. this was also a bonding form for you to stay with him, to be his till death.
a circle with words in a different stroke pattern appeared on your stomach, glowing a bright yellow.
“do you want me, lovely?” he groaned into your ear. “you want me to give you want?”
tears streamed down your face as whimpers came out of your mouth. you could feel your slick slide down your leg, coating his covered dick.
“if you let me in baby, your life will change. your Lord won’t be able to save you, love…” his tongue wrapped around to the other side of your neck, feeling you gulp at his menstrations. “you will be a walking sin along with me, no verse, no prayer, no forgiveness can save you. do you want that?”
you didn’t care, you wanted soobin, every part of him you needed. even if that meant staying with him for the rest of your life, you didn’t care.
you nodded your head but that wasn’t the answer he wanted.
“you need to say it baby. invite me.”
“yes…! i.. fuck i invite you…!”
his middle and ring finger traced the circle on your stomach flashing red when finished. soobin wasted no time bringing you to your room and throwing you on the bed.
he threw his shirt off, his spiked tail moving side to side in excitement. he pulled down your shorts and panties in one movement, seeing your cunt unbelievably soaked.
“fuck…” he breathed, pulling your ankles and dragging you down to the end of the bed. he brought your thighs around his head, flattening his split tongue separating your folds. your back arched from the bed, gripping onto your sheets for mercy. you tasted so good, so sweet and addicting.
ideas of what to do to you kept running through his mind. he wanted to see you on your knees, he wanted to see it slide into you, he definitely wanted to taste you to the point he wouldn’t forget your taste. everything was running through his mind and his dick. his hand climbed up your body, finding its way to your breast pinching your nipple between his fingers. his tongue never finding a break between your folds; his split tongue scissoring along your clit intensely then finally making its way into your entrance. your thighs began to shake around his head, threatening to close around him but of course he wasn’t going to let that happen. he slapped your quivering thigh making you whine at the pain only for it to be followed by two more slaps. his tongue showed no mercy, reaching places within you making your build up come quicker than usual.
he pulled away, bringing himself up to look into your eyes. his nails contracted into a human-like nail bed making it easier for him to coat his digits with your arousal. his slick lips finding its way to your chest, your neck, and then to your cheek.
“you want me right here baby?” he groaned against your cheek. his fingers only grazing your clit and entrance, making it messier. for a slight second his hand stopped its menstrations causing a whine to fall from your lips, bucking up into nothing trying to follow his touch.
but fuck he didn’t like that.
a wave of pain ran through you as his hand slapped your cunt. he licked at your cheek with a smile forming on his lips. then he did it again.
and again…
and again…
“you’re not gonna answer me babe..?” the salty taste of your tears fell on his tongue as he continued to lick your reddened cheek. of course a slut like you would enjoy that pain, your pussy getting wetter by the second. his fingers slowly rubbed against your clit, riling you up more. “tell me that you want me.”
his name fell from your lips as his digits slid through your entrance. the pace was antagonizing yet so fucking delicious. who would've thought that would send you over the edge?
“shit…” you gasped as your pussy convulsed around his fingers. the rope finally snapped, making your mind go blank and body go numb. soobin chuckled to himself as he pulled his fingers out, cum slowly rolling down his fingers.
“you’re so pathetic.” bringing his fingers towards his mouth, his tongue licked around his covered fingers making you clench around nothing. the sight was unbearable, you could feel your gut begin to churn again at the lewd view. he’s a demon for a reason, looking so sinful by doing the most unholy thing. his fingers made its way back into you, curling against your g-spot drawing out moans that fell from your lips once again. you whined at the overstimulation but fuck you loved it.
“—ant it… inside…” you begged. you couldn’t take the foreplay any longer. he pursed his eyebrows up as he looked at your face. you turned your head over to look at him, chest heaving up and down and drool running down the side of your lip. “soobin..”
god you were so beautiful. his chest felt tight as he watched you beg for him, only saying his name. he brought his hands toward his sweats, dick begging to be released. his dick flew to his belly button, precum slapping against it. you lifted yourself onto your elbows wanting a glimpse of what was going to go inside you and holy shit—
“i wonder if it’ll fit?” he smiled to himself. his hand wrapped around his dick slowly pumping it. you lifted yourself up just a little bit more, bringing your quivering hand to his shaft. “it will…” you whispered. he watched your actions with lidded eyes, feeling his heart pound in his chest faster and faster. you pumped his cock slowly, feeling the vein pulse against your soft hand. your thumb rubbed against his tip and his frenulum, collecting his precum. his head fell back at the sensation, fucking into your hand wishing it was your throat already. “can i… um…”
he knew what you wanted, you wanted to finally taste him as well. he brought his head back to look down at those same glowing eyes only making his dick twitch more. he brought his hand to his face, smiling into his palm. “you’re gonna drive me insane.”
he grabbed at your ankles again, pulling you closer to his standing dick. he brought his tip to your entrance slowly pushing it in bringing out an elongated moan from the both of you at needed feeling. his nails retracted against your hips, losing control of his abilities. “damn you feel so good.” he pushed himself more into your heat finally bottoming out forcing your breath to  quicken trying to regain calmness but fuck his dick was so big it was unbearable. his thumbs rubbed circles against your sides, shushing you. “you’re okay… you’re okay i got you.”
he pulled his hips away slowly pulling out a gasp from your lips. the pain was turning into intoxicating pleasure, bringing a moan out to  indicate you were fine. the grip on your hips became tighter as he jolted his hips into you.
there was no turning back now.
the sound of skin slapping at a fast pace ripped through your silent room. his sharp teeth bit into his plump bottom lip causing some blood to run down them. your voice wouldn't stop, the force this man—demon—was using was pushing it out of you more and more. your breast jumped from the impact, becoming a beautiful view for him.
“it’s like you want your neighbors to hear you,” he smirked. your neck was too far for him to reach, resulting in his tail to wrap around your neck, pressing against the arteries causing your head to go light.
“oh… mygod—“ you choked out. soobin was making a complete slut out of you, using his abilities to bring the sin out of you. his tail became tighter around your neck making you moan at the pressure. you could only imagine how disgusting you both looked.
and you were right, it was fucking disgusting.
“open your eyes, lovely.”
you slowly opened your lids and found a random mirror on the ceiling. soobin’s tail around your throat, his head thrown back in pleasure, and your body convulsing around him. fuck it was so hot. the view of his dick thrusting inside of you and the strings of arousal sticking to his body after each thrust was the breaking point for you.
“gonna cum…!” you mewled. his tail brought your body up just a little to make eye contact with him. his eyes dark instead of gold, making you whimper even louder. “then beg.”
pleads fell from your lips as that rope was starting to snap again. his tongue stuck out just a little and his sharp teeth showed into a smirk. he was approaching his high as well and the need to cum inside of you was incredible.
“cum with me..” he groaned, his thrusts becoming more frantic and off pace. your voice gradually became louder as you clenched around his dick. that action alone made him release inside of you, his warm cum hitting your walls and sliding out of you. he pulled his dick out, seeing the cum drip out of your spazzing cunt. fuck, you were beyond everything he wanted. he couldn’t believe that you, the one that he desperately needs, bonded to him for the rest of your life. god, he felt his dick get hard again, eyes wavering between your fucked out face and your cunt. before he even realized, he was stuffing himself back into you.
“i…i can’t— ahh… fuck soobin please…” the overstimulation was too much but he felt so right against your walls. he brought his chest against yours, lips attached to your neck as he slowly fucked into you.
“fuck i’m losing my mind…” he breathed into your ear. his hips started to speed up, listening to the lewd sounds you and him were making. his groans turned into whimpers as he rutted into you. “feel so good…”
his name fell from your lips again, your hips meeting him at a perfect pace. your nails dug into his wide back, biting into his shoulder as your moans got louder. fuck he was approaching fast and so were you.
“kiss me,” you whined. he pecked at your cheek until he finally met your sore lips. teeth clashing here and there and moans being drowned out by the other’s lips. your cunt clenched around his dick, milking every little bit of him out.
he lifted himself off of you looking at your half-conscious state. the seal on your stomach appeared once again, glowing red. the same two fingers he used earlier he used again, tracing the outline to officially complete the seal.
“see you soon, ____.”

Hello! My name is Krispy, and I’m the co-creator of the webcomic Ghost Junk Sickness (along with @spacerocketbunny) It's story time!
GJS is a webcomic published by Hiveworks and features two bounty hunters with an unstable dynamic who are pushed to pursue the deadly bounty dubbed the Ghost The current iteration of GJS is about 9 years old (and wrapping up next year!) It’s been an incredible journey full of ups and downs. We’ve learned SO MUCH creating this comic, and I wanted to share some of it’s origins with you all in hopes of inspiring more folks to take chances, make mistakes, and get messy- and make that comic!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The origin of Ghost Junk Sickness came from our love for Magic Knight Rayearth and Final Fantasy 7. Vahn, the protagonist of GJS, was basically a mash up of Hikaru and Cloud from those two series. The very first version of this story has unfortunately been destroyed, and this map is the only piece I have left of that world. Character art still exists though, and it was pretty funny to see how obvious we were with our inspirations at the time.
Tumblr media
The original attempt at the story was called Crew, and my sister Space and I worked on it in 2002-2004. We sort of got lost in our own ideas after that, and weren’t as focus on making the comic (now lost). A few years later, I decided to try my hand at it and it looked like this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was all done on low quality paper, whichever I could find at the time and some pencil crayons. This attempt was over 600 pages long and had a pretty random story plot, much like the first version. I could not tell you what it was about haha 😅
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My second attempt (then called Divine Ace) I wanted to look more 'traditional manga' and kept with just inks and tried my darndest to tone on the computer (it never worked out). This one lasted over 400 pages, and was more allinged with my liking to edgy action anime and games at the time. It was also Trigger's first appearance!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After experimenting and eventually wanting to change- I started to work with Space again, and we collaborated in full on our first fancomic for TF2 called "Be Efficient, Be Polite." It was a good lesson on how we could coordinate our shared skill sets and plan out who did what as far as the whole process of comics go.
All of these comics (save for the very first lost version) were hosted on DA the day we got our hands on a scanner. It was our first taste on being 'webcomic creators' back in the day, and it was very fun! We didn't much care for readers, only the process of completion at the time, so a page done was always a victory worthy to be celebrated (and back then, we had more time to make pages!)
Tumblr media
And so, as the years went by and we decided to move on from our fandom roots, Space and I went back to the Crew/Divine Ace project and redesigned and overhauled the entirety of it. (You can see the full evolution here) We wanted to re-asses what the story, comic, and characters meant to us, and how we could convey some pretty important ideas and concepts to our potential readers. From that, Ghost Junk Sickness was born, and began pre-production in 2013.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Years after, we find ourselves reflecting on how much we've learned from the process of going ahead and diving in head first. There were certainly many iterations and years it took to get where we are today, but realising that it all began that day Space and I decided to scribble some pretty mediocire comics in our homework books and papers. Because that is the beauty of comics- The many skill sets, the hats, and challenges that come along with creating them. And how much we've become better at so many things along the way. So if you read this and feel nervous about diving head first into your first comic, I'm here to re-assure you that things will feel tough, but exciting. Things will feel really hard but amazing when you're getting your story out in front of you with such an incredible medium. Webcomics will always be my favourite because of how accessible it is to any skill set. And know in your heart of hearts that there ARE people out that that LOVE to see growth, they love to see the progression of your journey. So get out there and start creating that comic that's occupied your brain for so long, and start breathing that life into your OCs and your world. The only way is up with webcomics, and the only way to start is just by creating now.

Miguel O'Hara is a world-renowned professional boxer, and Hobie's other best friend. One night he finally makes the two worlds collide and sparks immediately fly between the two of you. But will he distract you from meeting your publisher's deadline? And will you distract him from getting World Champ?

an. hi. its me! Giselle, or gi, or gigi to few (not to be confused w gg, that is one of my moots. she makes really cool art.) n e ways here is the awaited Prologue for Iron Fist. Oh goodness I'm so nervous. I just want to make a few things clear. the reader is an author (obvs). She's recently graduated uni and is Latina! I write with a woc!r in mind always. I try to be as inclusive as possible, pero porque soy Mexicana, r might lean towards being more Mexican but I'll try to keep her Spanish standard and not be too specific to my family's culture. much love! hope you enjoy <3
please don't forget to reblog! likes do nothing to boost engagement.
Your foot taps against the floor. The damn blank document stares back at you. Mocking you is what it’s really doing. Fuck you, you think, I achieved my goal. I published a book and it is a damn bestseller! Only problem is that the readers want more. It’s been… some time since your first book. And sure, Jess said you can take a break before starting a new project. But you also know that it’s good to ride on existing publicity. At least be able to make an announcement that you’re writing something while all this excitement lasts. Maybe you should write something about vampires. You love vampires and how they fit into romance and how them drinking blood is a euphemism just a bit away from, the whole cannibalism-equals-all-consuming-love trope and how when a vampire attacks it’s often an allegory for rape and— but you have nothing to add to the conversation. You have nothing new to say, no new perspective or hot take, or twist. You have nothing. No ideas.
Not a single word on the page.
You have an idea, leaning forward to peck the keyboard. “F-u-c-k. T-h-i-s!” You highlight the text and italicize it.
Fuck this. At least it’s words on the page.
You reach for your cup and take a sip. “If all else fails I can ride on the rest of the signing bonus and royalties for a bit since the book is doing good, and once that dries up, I can apply to be circulation assistant at a library or something.” You sigh and take another sip. “But nobody has to know for now.” You get up, searching for your phone. You find it resting on the arm of the couch, you grab it, sliding onto the cushions, resting your head where your phone just was. “God, don’t make me a one hit wonder, I wanna be a star. I wanna be the one to push that bitch Colleen Hoover into obsoletion. Please God. Please.”
You open your phone and look for your mother on speed dial.
“Hola, nena!” Your mama’s voice is happy, she must be having a good day. You move into the kitchen. You need a snack.
“Hey, mama, how are you?” You hold the cell with your shoulder as you look through your pantry.
“Good, good,” you find a pack of roasted seaweed snacks and grab it.
“I went on a date anoche.” Your shoulder drops and the pack of seaweed slips out of your grasp.
Mi mami fue a una cita. Con un man! You stand there, trying to process that she is actually back on the dating scene.
“How did it—” you aren’t holding your phone anymore. You use the wall as support to lower yourself to pick up your phone and snack.
“—ay, mami, lo siento, mi cellular se cayo de mi mano.”
“Todo bien, hija! I’m glad you’re ok.”
“Yeah, yeah, I’m ok, I’m ok. Anyways— how was the date? What’s he like? Am I going to have a stepfather soon?” you joke.
“My time for marriage is gone, muñeca, I’m just looking for companionship, pero, tu lo sabes.” You hear some subtle clinking in the background of the call, she must be stirring her coffee. You open your snack and park yourself on the couch. “Are you writing?” Ugh. Not you, too.
“I was, just finished for a bit before I called you.”
“You called me to procrastinate.” You choke on your seaweed from the accusation.
You clear your throat, “I called to check in with you. I call you practically every day.”
“But right now you called me to check up on me as an excuse to not write. Nena, I know you.”
“Okay, fine. I might be having some writer’s block,” you admit, sighing.
“And that’s okay, nena, but then you need to get out, get some inspiration. Allow the world to give you a story.” There’s mama, with her easier-said-than-done advice. But, maybe you should get out of the house.
“Alright, I’ll go out soon.”
“Tonight,”
“—I will go out to the Chinese place across the street and nothing more. I’ll talk with Hobie when he gets back to see if he has any ideas.” You hear your mama make a noise in her throat.
“You still live with that boy?” Here it comes. You’ve lived with Hobie Brown for three years and have known him for five. She’s always been apprehensive of him, since he’s radical and looks like he’s been in jail, with all the metal in his face, and why does his hair look like that? But Hobie is the one who’s kept you sane all these years. He’s held you while you cried and pushed out of your comfort zone when you were getting too stuck into your routines, most likely by dragging you to a concert or a protest. You help him thrift and flip clothes and ever since that one time his stylist had an emergency and canceled, you now help him tighten his wicks every so often. On days like that the two of you stay in, watching nostalgic movies and listening to any demos he’s recorded recently. He’s like a brother to you at this point.
“Yes, mama, I still live with Hobie. Nothing’s changed.” You move the phone down to your chest and take a deep breath.
“I didn’t like him when I first met him,” you clench your jaw as she continues— “…and although he’s one of those kids, I can tell he is a good boy. I’m glad he takes care of you.” You relax. “But it wouldn’t hurt to have someone you could kiss.” “It would be nice, but right now it’s not happening.” “Alright, muñeca. I’ll leave you alone for now, but keep your eyes open for a nice man.”
“I will, con cuidado, mami, besitos.” You make a kissing noise into the phone, and she responds with a goodbye of her own, and you wait for her to hang up the call.
You sigh, and look at the coffee table. Hobie left his song book at home, weird. It’s open to the song he was working on the other day. It’s a slower song, you can still hear the melody. You drum your fingers to the tune. He’s on an unfinished verse. You pick up a pen from the little catch-all dish and scribble down a line or two.
Hobie weaves through the roar of chattering, anticipating fans and into the tunnel, and walks past employees and into Miguel's prep room to see him tying his shoes. “Hey,” Miguel looks up. “Hey.”
“Are you excited?” He moves to sit by the boxer, shimmying up against his shoulder.
“Haven’t really been excited for one of these in a while.” Miguel breathes.
“Well, one step closer to retirement!” Hobie bounces out of his seat. He turns to face his friend, putting a hand on his shoulder. “You’re gonna do great, you big fuckin’ bear of a man.” He ruffle’s Miguel’s hair.
Miguel gives a half-ass hum in response.
“Well then, I’ll be out there, mate, cheerin’ you on.” He puts his hands in his vest pockets and walks out the room.
As he reaches the empty doorframe, Miguel speaks up. “Thank you, Hobie.”
“Anything for you, mate.” Hobie nods and goes to join the audience. Miguel fastens his gloves and puts on his robe. He warms up waiting for his coach.
“Ready, O’Hara?”
Miguel turns around. “Always ready for a fight.” He clenches his jaw. Walking down that hallway, the festive colors lighting up his path and the music blaring, he does his little bit, the movements molded into muscle memory.
This is it. This is his last year fighting. If he gets world champ again, he’s free.
Soon, he gets to fight his last fight. And dammit, the world championship will be his last match. Then, he’s never gonna have to come back.
He weaves under the ropes, entering the ring. Sitting on the stool, he shrugs off the robe and lets Carlos put the mouthguard in.
“You are going to show this guy exactly why people call you el oso!” Miguel beats his gloves together and nods. He might not like his job right now, but he really wants to hit something and goddammit if his opponent doesn’t look so beatable right now.
Coach Carlos steps out of the way, and Miguel stands to walk to the ref as he calls for him to center.
“We went over the rules in the dressing room.” Right before Hobie got here. “I want to remind you to protect yourself at all times, and obey my commands.” Ring the damn bell already. “God bless you both,” I don’t need it but this kid might. “Touch up,” here we go. He touches gloves with his newbie opponent and each goes back to their respective corners.
Miguel takes an orthodox stance.
The bell rings.
Miguel lands the first punch. He also lands the last.

HELLO, welcome to my page... I am new to tumblr (so still learning my way around here) and I'm so excited because I think I finally found my tribe. I've been watching the triplets for about two years but, I've been relatively quiet cause I didn't know there were like minded people out there (or where to find them). I've seen the police, I've seen the complainers, but the wicked minded ones are here, so I'm happy now, lol. I gave up trying to find my tribe, but I think I found my home here. I'm a Chris girl, through and through but I adore Nick and Matt. UPDATE: 29/05/2024 I will be re-doing the first two Chris stories since I was nervous posting my first stories. It might take a few weeks but I will do it. I was worried about word count, the style, etc. I have been getting flack on 'ask me anything' about why I write OC. I've only replied once. I will try to redo them and try to start writing in a different way than I am used or was taught. Though thank you for reading, it's very much appreciated. MY MASTER LIST: 💦One on One (Chris Sturniolo smut) A game of basketball has them shedding clothes. 💦Tick Tock, Times Up (Chris Sturniolo smut) Chris wants his ex back. What happens in the kitchen on a late night encounter? 💦Dirty Little Heart (Chris Sturniolo smut) Chris' best friend walks in on him showering, but there is a twist... 💦A good, kinda bad guy (Matt Sturniolo smut) Concerned, Matt keeps a stranger company in a broken elevator. What happens when the doors open enough for him to slip inside? More to come... Please read the rules of my page and disclaimers below the break:
A little about me: I'm Everlee, 21, and a water sign. I enjoy fitness and working out, having a laugh, and finding a balance in life. I love the Sturniolo Triplets, music, writing, and animals. I have a new profession that I love, but it leaves me with little time so, please tag me in your posts - Also please feel free to message me, I love talking about the triplets and everything else in life. My page, my rules: * I do write adult material (smut/erotica/explicit, etc) * I do not write about the weirder kinks (no rape, skat, pee, incest) * I do not accept hate. At all. Of any kind. * I'm not going to write a whole lot of warnings. We're all grown up, right? It is what it is. * I do kindness, so please be kind. Disclaimer: If you are uncomfortable reading anything sexual, please move on. You are not obligated to read anything on my page. These are just writings/stories. It is the only account I will publish fanfics on. Please do not copy or steal. I get there are thousands of stories and some will seem similar but there is a difference between similar and same. I also write for fun, nothing more, nothing less. They aren't going to be perfect. Some will be short, some long, some one shots, some in parts. I am an adult with adult responsibilities. I have a job, a house and pets that I take care of so I don't have a whole lot of time, but I try and write as much as I can and will try and post as often as I can. I will read anything I'm tagged in - it may not be at that very second but I will read it. Final notes: _ If I have forgotten anything, please let me know (I don't bite...well...not in this case...Chris tho, hell yes I'll bite him!) _ Message me! _ Don't take life too seriously. Take that leap. Love the people you love and care about with all your being. I think that's all, lol. Love ya's!!

"So I'm cleared?" You asked, sitting up on the table.
"Yes Mrs Severide, you may now return to full workouts, sexual activity and carrying more than 20 pounds. Take it slow, if anything is painful or feels out of the ordinary, please give us a call," Dr Calhoun replied, "how does that make you feel? Mentally?"
"Honestly, a little nervous."
"Why?"
"What if something happens?"
"From everything that I have checked, there is no need for concern. If something happens, we're only a call away. If its after hours, head to Med and have them page me. If there's something wrong, and I don’t think there is, but if something happens, we will take care of it. There's no need to worry."
"Okay. So I'm really good to go?"
"Absolutely. My last word of advice because I've been doing this for a while and I now have two of my own, use a good lube or try it in the shower for the first few times. It makes all the difference."
You chuckled, "Thank you Doctor Calhoun, for eveything."
"If you ever decide to have more children or need a GYN, give me a call."
Dr Calhoun left the room and you collected yourself and Alexis to leave your final OB appointment for the foreseeable future.
After arriving back at your car, you placed Alexis' carseat in the base and called Kelly.
"Hey, how'd it go?" Kelly eagerly answered your call.
"Good, all cleared and good to go. You home from shift yet?"
"Just leaving 51. Meet you at home?”
"Sounds good, see you soon. Love you."
"Love you too."
“Kelly, you here?" You heard rustling in the bedroom.
“Yeah, hold on.”
The rustling continued.
“What are you doing?” You laughed.
“Found it,” he exited your bedroom holding a box.
He followed you to the couch, a now sleeping baby nestled in the crook of your arm.
“Whatcha got there?”
“Katie sent us some stuff from New York for Alexis.”
“Katie working today? We should FaceTime her to open it.”
“How long has Alexis been asleep?”
“Almost an hour. I fed her before my appointment and she slept the whole time.”
“How lucky are we that she’s a damn good sleeper?”
“So lucky.”
He looked at the unopened USPS box on the coffee table.
“So calling Katie?”
“Let’s do it, I’ll see if Alexis wakes up when I pick her up.”
You picked Alexis up as Kelly started the FaceTime call to his sister. Alexis awoke, but was her usual calm self as soon as she opened her eyes.
“Hi Alexis!!” Katie smiled as she answered the FaceTime call.
You took Alexis’ arm in your hand and gave Katie a little wave.
“We wanted to wait to open the package until we were with you, but I guess FaceTime will have to do,” Kelly laughed.
“Actually, let’s wait to do it until I’m there.”
“How long will that be?”
“About 30 seconds,” she giggled, knocking on your apartment door.
Kelly practically ran to open the door and hug her.
“How long has it been?” He chuckled.
“Too long,” she smiled, hugging him back.
You invited Katie in and spent the rest of the day hanging out and catching up, before finally opening the package. It was filled with NYC and Manhattan-related gifts along with a white envelope on the bottom.
“What’s in there?” You asked, curiously.
“Open it,” she smiled.
“Tickets to the Blackhawks game?” Kelly was giddy, he was so excited.
“They’re for tonight, I’ll babysit. You guys have fun,” Katie grinned.
“Katie, I- I- I don’t know what to say,” you started to tear up.
“Don’t say anything, I’m happy to do it. I’m gonna go check into my hotel and I’ll be back in time for you guys to get to the game.”
“Kelly are you ready?” You called into the bedroom while bopping Alexis.
“Yup, I’ll be right there.”
He walked out of the bedroom with his Blackhawks jersey in hand, wearing one of those undershirts you couldn’t help but fall in love with.
“You gonna carry that at the game too?” You giggled.
“Don’t want Alexis to spit up on it. Put it on when we leave,” he laughed, taking your daughter from your arms.
“Katie will be here in like 30 minutes. I gotta curl my hair and do my makeup and get changed.”
“Already found something for you to wear,” he smirked, “it’s on the bed.”
You walked in to the bedroom to find your Jonathan Toews jersey and your favourite pair of jeans on the bed.
"How did you know?" you laughed.
"What can I say? I know you well, babe."
You changed quickly and fixed up your curls.
"Katie's here," Kelly called.
"Be right there."
Quickly, you threw on some mascara and lip gloss before going to the living room.
"You look good babe," Kelly smiled, handing Alexis off to Katie.
You leaned over and kissed him, feeling a little more like you wanted to stay in rather than go out.
"There's, uh, breast milk in the fridge, her schedule is on the counter. Um, Sylvie's number is on the fridge in case there's any, uh, problems," your mind distracted from the kiss, you couldn’t help but giggle.
"We'll be fine. You guys have fun," Katie smiled.
You gave Alexis a hug and a kiss on the cheek, "good night baby, mommy loves you so much."
"Good night Alexis, daddy loves you to the moon and back."
Watching Kelly love Alexis was something that made you fall in love with him more and more. Having a stable husband with whom you shared a child with was something you dreamt of since high school.
Kelly grabbed his jersey and followed you out the door.
--
Walking out of the United Center back to Kelly's car, you were exilerated, but exhasted. The Blackhawks had just snapped their 5 game losing streak, and won with a 4-0 shoutout. That was the perfect end to your first night out after becoming parents.
"How you feeling?" Kelly asked, "you up for Molly's or are you done for the night?"
You stopped at the car, leaning into Kelly for a kiss, "What about something else?" you smiled.
"You up for that? You just got cleared today," he asked, kissing your neck. He knew you wouldn't say anything unless you were ready.
"Bassinet is finally in Alexis' room. Seems like a great time to test things out again."
"You look so good tonight baby, we'll do whatever you want," he smiled as he went back in for another kiss.
The traffic home was a nightmare, but by the time you got to the apartment, you were ready for anything.
"We're home," you smiled, opening the apartment door.
Katie was asleep on the couch, but woke at the sound of your shoes coming through the door.
"How'd it go?" You asked, going to check the baby monitor.
"Been up every 3 hours since you guys left, but she just went down about a half hour ago if you guys want to get some sleep," she yawned, packing up her purse.
“You need a ride to the hotel?” Kelly asked.
“I have an uber a few minutes away, but thank you.”
“I have another day before I’m back on shift, wanna meet up and do something tomorrow?”
“That sounds great, I’ll text you guys when I’m ready for the day.”
You and Kelly both hugged Katie before seeing her out of the apartment. You watched her get on the elevator and then locked the door behind you as you entered the apartment.
“Shower or bed?” You laughed, pulling him closer for a kiss by the collar on his jersey.
“Whatever you want baby,” he chuckled, pulling your jersey off, “it’s your night.”
You grabbed Kelly by the hand and led him into the master en suite. The bathroom door clicked shut and Alexis started to cry.
“Shit,” you started to laugh, resting your head on his chest.
“I’ll get her, put her back down. I’ll met you in there in a few.”
Kelly left the bathroom for the nursery and you started the water. Throwing your clothes on the counter, your hand brushed by your scar. Healed up and mostly pain free, it was still a reminder of what had to be done to bring Alexis into the world. You stepped in the shower, wincing at the feel of the water being a tad too cold, and turned the temperature to more suit the steamy theme of the evening. Kelly returned, already having left his jersey in the other room.
“How’s the baby?” You asked.
“Good, pacifier fell out of her mouth.” He mindlessly undid his jeans and removed the tank covering his chest.  He looked back towards the shower.
“Damn, you’re-“ he was almost breathless. The two of you had been intimate all throughout your pregnancy, but the morning sickness wasn’t as attractive as you naked in the shower.
“You gonna join me?” You didn’t have to ask twice, he was gonna obey the first time.
He finished undressing and practically leapt into the shower. With a flick of the wrist, he tipped your chin up to make eye contact with him. Backing you in the shower’s wall, he placed his other hand on the tile for support. He leaned in and the passionate kisses began shortly after.

Chaeri as the 8th and youngest member of BTS.
Chaeri's Masterlist
Web article
Tumblr media
June, 2023
The K-pop community is abuzz with questions and speculations as Chaeri, the only female member of BTS, and the leader of Ateez, Hongjoong, have not been seen together for quite some time. Adding to the intrigue, recent reports suggest that Chaeri's contract as Ateez's choreographer with KQ Entertainment has come to an end.
Fans are left wondering about the reasons behind Chaeri's departure from her role as the mastermind behind Ateez's captivating dance routines. While she proved her talent and left an indelible mark on the group's performances, the sudden silence surrounding her professional life is leaving many perplexed.
Furthermore, the once inseparable couple of K-pop is raising eyebrows with their apparent absence from each other's lives. No sightings, no public appearances together, and no social media interactions have fans concerned about the status of their relationship.
In a world where idols' every move is scrutinized, the mysterious circumstances surrounding Chaeri and Hongjoong's recent actions are only fueling the rumor mill. Fans are eager to know if there's a rift between the two or if they are merely keeping their personal lives private.
As the duo's fans eagerly await any updates or official statements, the K-pop world is on edge, hoping for clarity and reassurance. Until then, the question marks continue to grow, and the mystery deepens, leaving everyone to wonder what's next for Chaeri and Hongjoong.

💭 The total lack of updates about Chaeri and Hongjoong is seriously, like, causing me to lose it! Seriously, somebody, anyone, pretty please, shower us with some news about our nation's couple 🥹
💭 I am totally convinced that they're taking a break from the spotlight to have some super sweet quality time together, just the two of them! 🥰💕 Ahh, my fangirl heart is bursting with happiness at the thought! 😻💖 I'm beyond excited for their comeback, 'cause I know they'll be back stronger and happier 🌟💪 Let's all send them all the love and support they deserve
💭 I can't even deal with the fact that Chaeri won't be Ateez's choreographer anymore ❤️‍🩹
💭 I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Chaeri and Hongjoong to surprise us with some good news soon! They've been through so much together
💭 It's strange not seeing them together lately. I hope they're both doing well and that their relationship is as strong as ever!
💭 I hope Chaeri's decision to leave the choreographer role was her own choice and not due to any conflicts with Hongjoong
💭 I hope the media will give them space and not speculate too much about their relationship. They deserve to have their privacy respected
💭 Honestly, I think Chaeri and Hongjoong would be better off without each other. They don't seem to fit together, and it's time they moved on
💭 I can't wait for them to break up. Maybe then we can stop hearing about their relationship and focus on the music

💭 Hongjoong's response has me even more anxious. I hope everything's alright with Chaeri
💭 Those who are fans of Hongjoong know that that smile on his face is a facade. HE WAS REALLY NERVOUS
💭 Maybe it's just a private matter they don't want to share with the public. Let's trust they'll handle it together
💭 Stop saying he was upset because they broke up, the reporter was clearly invading his personal space and assuming false information, Hongjoong did wisely to ignore him
💭 I won't believe they broke up even if they release an official statement. they are THE match
💭 I hope they're taking care of each other. It must be hard for them to deal with rumors and speculation
💭 I hope Chaeri finally realized that she deserves better 🤡
💭 We should remember they're not obligated to share every aspect of their lives with us

Nate
Sam
Colby
Amanda
Spirit Box
━─━────༺✧༻────━─━
You and Nate were currently in his car, driving to the plantation for Sam and Colby's video.
Nate was nervous. That much was obvious from the tight, white-knuckled grip he had on the steering wheel. You could practically see the the tense emotions rolling off his skin in waves. You however, were practically buzzing in excitement.
You opened up the camera app on your phone to record a little clip. One you would either post to your instagram story soon, or you'd send it to Colby to put before the video... you hadn't really decided what you were going to say yet.
First, you brought the camera really close to your face, barely anything other than your forehead, eyebrows, and eyes in frame, "Ok so- I don't really know where this clip is going to be shared yet... or if it'll be out at all... but Nate is being boring and having a panic attack and I'm super excited and want to talk to someone about it."
You extended your arm, full face now in view as you smiled widely at the front facing camera, "Guess what!" you yelled, "We're filming with the boys again!" you spoke, flashing the camera to show Nate as he drove, "and that's not even the best part... drumroll please... the love of my freaking life is coming with us!" you squealed.
Nate's eyebrows furrowed, barely sparing a glance in your direction, instead keeping his eyes on the road, "Babe, you already showed me?"
"Oh not you." you scoffed, rolling your eyes, "You're just my boyfriend."
"Mhm..." he hummed, blinking a few times trying to figure what exactly it was he was failing to understand, "Yeah no. I don't get it N/N... pretty sure 'love of my life' and 'boyfriend' are the same thing."
You tilted your head pondering the thought for a moment, ultimately shaking your head innocently, "Nah, it can't be. There are two very different people that take up those positions."
"Oh really?"
"Oh yeah." you turned your gaze, meeting the side of his face,"You may be my boyfriend, and I love you so, so, so, very much..."
"But?"
"But.." you grinned turning to face the camera, "The love of my life is the wonderful and beautiful Amanda~" you sang, moving your phone forward once more blowing kisses at the screen.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so excited!" you yelled, shaking the screen for emphasis.
The brown haired male next to you laughed at your actions, "Babe, be careful, you're going to make 'em all dizzy."
"True" you shrugged, focusing your phone once more, "anyways, you've probably guessed it by now, but we're doing another investigation tonight!"
You flipped the camera, showing nothing but trees surrounding the vehicle, "We're currently in the middle of nowhere- but that's because this location is a little different than usual."
"Yeah, instead of like a house with like- other neighbors around it and stuff" Nate spoke up, "were going to a plantation, in the middle of just like- trees" he shivered awkwardly, hissing in discomfort, "so if we get in trouble or something there's nothing for miles."
You scoffed, pulling the view back on yourself, "Yeah I guess, but that's fine because nothing is going to go wrong!" you exclaimed happily
"Mhm, and how do you know that?"
You winked at the camera, patting the area over your chest, "I have a good feeling about it."
"Yeah ok then- remind me how you feel when we actually get there."
You laughed loudly at you boyfriend, finally getting a small crack of a smile across his lips. "Anyway, that's all for right now. See-you-all-when-we-get-there-bye-bye" you rushed, quickly ending the video.
As soon as he could tell you stopped recording, Nate spoke up, "now what was that for?"
"Updating the public" you shrugged, starting a quick conversation with Colby over text.
Hey~ might've just filmed a little intro clip for you
You're welcome of course
And you better use it
I put a lot of effort into it
Oh really?
Obviously
Send it over
I'll check it out
About 2 minutes later after your mini vlog went through, he responded
Oh yeah, thats going in
You're good if I do a little editing over it?
Ofc
━─━────༺✧༻────━─━
Later, when viewers clicked on the video, they would be greeted to a huge tone shift between the first 2-3 minutes of the video, versus the of it.
First, your little intro, which basically became a fan cam for Amanda. Bright hearts and anime blush- the whole nine yards.
Broken, of course, every once in a while with a freeze framing on your real partner. The video going gray scale, with rain and violin music playing in the background.
Then, hard cut straight to the footage outside the plantation. ━─━────༺✧༻────━─━
Soon, the group of five were all stood before Myrtles plantation, waiting for the tour to begin.
Sam turned to Nate, camera pointed to him, "Are you excited?"
"Dude- I- just-" your boyfriend sighed dramatically, bringing his hands up to rub at his eyes. You, however, could be seen lurching forward in laughter at his reaction, "It just like everytime you bring me on one of these."
You walked up, placing a hand on his shoulder, trying to calm your breaths, "Yeah, so thats a no." you looked up at him, pouting when he met your gaze, "He's very nervous"
"You look terrified."
"I can tell by your- genuine face of excitement right now"
Nate forced a sarcastic smile on his face that turned out more of a grimace, "Oh yeah? This face? Right here?"
You struggled to hold back your laughter, "All excitement from him on the way up here"
He turned his head, looking down at you as you were still holding onto his shoulder, "You know, usually you're a bit more cautious about these things."
You shrugged, "But we have Amanda here this time," you gestured to her, "There's finally someone else to help me keep you guys from doing something stupid."
━─━────༺✧༻────━─━
The five of you entered the house, deciding to take a quick look around before the tour guide arrived.
Almost immediately upon entering the door, something caught your attention- and no it wasn't the smell the boys were busy commenting on.
Hung on the wall of the foyer, there was a mirror. You couldn't quite put a finger on it, but you could tell there was something strange about it.
For now, you just assumed it was how dated the mirror looked. Nothing from today looked like that.
Soon, the boys called you over to the steps, wanting to take a peek upstairs. Sam and Colby had already made their way up with Nate following behind them, leaving you and Amanda  still on the first floor.
"Hey" you tapped the blondes shoulder, "Just to- uh, to make sure... you feel that too, right?" you asked, looking up the stairwell.
She hummed, "Yeah, thats probably because of what happened on the 17th step."
You simply nodded enthusiastically despite having not clue what the significance of that specific step was, "Oh yeah of course. Just making sure I wasn't the only one feeling that sense of impending doom" you joked
Amanda laughed breathily at your phrasing, "Yeah, after events like that, they tend to leave a heavier, darker feel behind."
━─━────༺✧༻────━─━
You didn't find out till later that night, it wasn't just a slip down the stairs, but a death on the 17th step.
Thanks a lot for leaving that out Sam.
━─━────༺✧༻────━─━
By the time you made it up the flight of stairs, the group had entered one of the bedrooms. Everyone was inside except for your boyfriend, who stood before the doorframe waiting for you.
"Hey babe..." he spoke scratching the back of his neck awkwardly, grabbing your hand with the other, "so, just like a heads up, there's like... a shit ton of creepy ass dolls in there."
Your eyes widened looking up at him, "What?"
"Yeah, like the entire mantle?" he gestured with his hands, "Just- completely covered."
"I don't wanna go in there" you shook your head quickly, eyes still wide as saucers gripping his hand tighter.
"Just- just don't look to your right when we walk in?"
You squinted you eyes at him, "...why?"
Nate shrugged, "Oh you know, there might be one that is kinda-sorta positioned to look at you when enter." he spoke nonchalantly as he dragged you through the door.
You glared up at the brunette, "what?"
"By the way, we have to sleep here tonight-" the both of you heard from further in the room, "So someone is getting the room with the creepy doll staring at you."
You knew your friends- so without even thinking you threw your pointer finger up, touching your nose.
"Woah, woah, woah" you rushed when the other three looked in your direction with shit eating grins, "No I did it- it was Col-"
"Nope, I'm safe" the black haired man cut you off.
You looked up slowly, glare pointed directly at your shocked boyfriend, who hadn't done it in time. "I'm going to kill you."
You looked over his shoulder, seeing the dolls for the first time. You quickly dropped his hand running over past Amanda and out to the next room, "Nope! I just wont be sleeping with you."
Nate quickly followed, arms extended "Wait babe! No please! Don't leave me alone!" Leaving a laughing Sam and Colby behind, filming the entire thing.
━─━────༺✧༻────━─━
"Sam" you spoke up once the tour was over, "next time we do one of these things you've got to tell me more than just 'oh were going to a haunted mansion'" you mocked
"What's up?" he laughed, "What do you mean?"
"Oh you know" you gestured around, speaking with your arms, "yellow fever death child, owner of the house killed on the steps, poison murders, voodoo queen death, ghost mirrors-" you listed propping your hands on your hips, "I could go on and on."
"It's haunted Y/N, what did you expect?"
"Not this!" you shrieked.
━─━────༺✧༻────━─━
Soon, the five of you began the investigation in Chloe's room, each wearing a set of clip on earrings. Thanks to your wonderful, amazing boyfriend, you and Amanda were wearing the hoops.
In addition to the earrings, Amanda came with some gifts with the four of you. she gave Colby a crystal to help amplify his empathic skills, and evil eye bracelets for both Nate and Sam.
"These are just because I felt bad getting something for Colby and not you two." she spoke handing over the bracelets.
The raven haired man gasped, bringing his hands up to his chest, "She has a favorite!"
Nate placed his hands up on his waist, popping out his hip, "Well that's ok." he shot back sassily, dangly earrings swishing by his neck.
The blonde girl however, hummed in agreeance with Colby reaching back into her bag, "Yep, but it's not you." setting off scandalized gasps from the two men and hysteric laughter from sam. Amanda approached you with a small bag usually used for jewelry.
You took it smugly, leaning forward to kiss her on the cheek, "Thank you m'love"
"of course darling" she played along, "I heard you also have some abilities, so I picked out three things to help" she spoke as you opened the bag, pouring the items in your hand, "Ok, so this one is Labradorite" she pointed to the darker, slightly iridescent one, "It is one of the best crystals for enhancing abilities, it extends your awareness, helps you connect with the spiritual world and can be very grounding and helpful for mediums." she moved to the brighter crystal, "This one is Angelite, the same as Colby's-"
"oh." the mentioned male scoffed playfully, crossing his arms, "I see how it is... I feel very special now."
"-and the last one," Amanda pointed to a pitch black stone that was attached to a corded necklace, "is Black Tourmaline, which is really good at protecting and shielding you from bad energy. It can basically cleanse you from any unwanted energy that comes your way."
"Ok!" sam exclaimed, "Now that we've handed out the gifts and the pity gifts" he raised his wrist up to the camera, making the rest of you laugh, Lets get on to the investigation!"
━─━────༺✧༻────━─━
The group decided to move on to the seance room after very little seemed to be happening within Chole's room.
"I hated this room earlier" Nate shivered next to you, "It just... I don't know, it's just weird."
You nodded as you followed him in, "Yeah? Now imagine feeling heavy when you walk in"
"Really?" he looked down at you, "What do you mean?"
"It's just like what Amanda said earlier," you shrugged softly, "it's just very heavy in here, it feels tight."
You let go of Nate's hand, leaving him as he went to look at a painting in the corner, approaching Amanda instead. You stood next to the blonde as she looked up at the mirror that faces the one in the other parlor.
You shifted you gaze between her and the mirror quickly, "So... whatcha lookin at?"
She gestured you to stand next to her facing the mirror, never once moving her own gaze from the glass, "so look up there," she pointed at a specific area, "and unfocus you eyes- almost like youre trying to look through the mirror" she explained.
Within a few seconds she could feel you tense beside her, causing the blonde to grin, "you see it?"
"yeah" you breathed, nodding slowly, "yeah I see it"
"Yo wait" Nate whipped around, "see what? exactly?" he moved up behind you, placing his head over your shoulder, squinting his eyes to find whatever the two of you seemed to see, "I dont see it"
"I keep seeing things move behind me" Amanda spoke
"I cant see anything specific" you added, "but I can see shapes moving" you explained gesturing up to point in the direction of the areas you spoke of, "like I saw something move like this" you dragged you hand, "and something over there"
Amanda hummed in affirmation, "yep, where you just pointed, between this wall in the candles, there's someone" she moved her other hand, "and over here, where you saw something move, there was some kids."
"thats crazy"
"are you feeling anything right now?" Nate questioned, as Colby moved to flip off the lights.
The both of you answered simultaneously, gaving very opposite answers,
"No."
"Yes."
and for the first time in what felt like hours, you and Amanda broke your gazes from the mirror turning to each other instead.
"You really dont feel that?"
she shook her head, "no, I'm seeing them. I feel that someone is here, like I have full goosebumps"
"N/N" Nate placed a hand on your shoulder, "what are you feeling?"
You looked back to the mirror, looking for anymore blurs, only to see nothing, "It felt like- happy? I guess? Like you know that feeling of when you'd go to the park when you were younger and you were just like- excited? it felt like that."
Amanda nodded slowly in thought, "well, that could be the kids I saw, they did look pretty happy."
"but now" you spoke up once more, causing the boy's eyebrows to furrow, "now it just feels crowded. I cant pull one emotion from another. Its so weird."
"the energy in here is insane" Amanda agreed, "I feel like if we did a seance at the seance table- we could get some pretty gnarly stuff"
━─━────༺✧༻────━─━
So, that what the group did. you broke out the spirit box, and immediately you were greeted with several hellos.
"Is there any sign you could give us of who were talking to?" Sam spoke up, "a name, an occupation?"
Kate
Colby looked up with squinted brows, confused at the sound "what did that say"
"it said Kate" you responded from next to Nate, hand on his arm, "im pretty sure it said Kate"
"yeah" Amanda added, "I wrote Kate right before it said that"
"is it true that this room is a portal?"
you stepped back at the question, making Nate look to you in concern "guys I just got really nautious-"
Evil
"oh no-no-no- I don't like that" you rush out, placing yourself on the other side of the doorframe, "i'm definitely not a fan of that"
Sam, Colby, Nate and Amanda continued to speak to the spirit box within the room while you stayed in the hallway. Nate moved from the group and closer to you to make sure you were ok.
"Can you tell us how many spirits are in here with us right now?"
three
from the doorway, you couldve sworn you saw a flash of green reflect in one of the glass window panes. Green, like the head wrap Chloe was said to wear.
"do you think.." you trailed off moving closer to your boyfriend, "could Chloe be one of them?" you whispered.
he stepped out of the room upon seeing your expression. You seemed paler than usually and he could almost see you shaking with wide glassy eyes staring back at him. He wrapped his arms around you, rubbing your back to give you some semblance of comfort.
Nate, his chin resting in your head, repeated your words louder to for the group still inside the room to hear, "Was that Chloe?"
Me
Look
you whimpered, pressing your face into his chest, "nope. tell Amanda to look at the window-"
"-that candle just got so bright at the far end-"
"-yeah that one." you mumbled, "the window by the candles. I saw something green over there."
the brown hared man nodded, raising his voice to cut off the trio 's conversation on the candle's, "Amanda? N/N said to check around that window. She said she saw something green flash overthere earlier."
"Yo! What?" sam exclaimed excitedly, moving to you both with the camera while Amanda looked by the window pane, "What happened? what did you-"
he was cut off by Nate shaking his head quickly above you, "not right now" he whispered to the blonde, "later."
Sam nodded understandly, moving to film Amanda by the window, "You see anything?"
"no, not anymore." she stated, "its all clear, whatever it was must've moved by now."
━─━────༺✧༻────━─━
A few rooms and a short reenactment later, it was time for solo investigations. Well, at least it was solo for Sam and Colby, you, Nate, and Amanda were able to go out on the porch together.
The three of you were given the spot where Chloe's picture was taken, and had decided to take turns doing the Estes Method. Amanda was first up in the rocking chair.
"I've got some information"
"woah" Nate turned to the camera to you, who was laughing softly from shock.
"We didnt even ask anything yet," you looked into the camera lens, "and were already getting answers? this is crazy"
Nate hummed, "Yeah this is insane- what type of information do you have?"
"lets go"
"Go where?" you questioned, "where do you want to go?"
after a few minutes you received no response. you shrugged, looking over to Nate, "I don't know, you ask a question" you laughed, "it doesn't like me I guess"
He shrugged at your statement, readying his next question "Chloe, did you put yourself at risk to get the information?"
"ready"
you squinted at one another, "are you ready to put yourself at risk?"
"for the information?" Nate added on.
"yes"
you shook your head with a smile, " I guess she's ready ti talk"
"yes"
"Chloe was it you that they photographed in this alleyway?"
"Accident"
"You didnt intend to be in the photo?"
You turned around, looking off the balcony as Amanda shivered, brushing her arms, "something just touched me"
Nate turned his head, looking your direction as you gazed out onto the dark field, "Babe?" he whispered, "You alright?"
"yeah" you muttered, scanning the yard, "yeah, I just got that feeling that something was watching me." you shook your head and rolled your shoulders, "it was probably nothing."
Nate nodded slowly, continuing his questioning of Amanda rather than you, glancing at your from the corner of his eye to make sure you were alright. "Chloe, does guilt keep you here?"
"I knew it was wrong"
You and Nate brought Amanda out of the trance to add a trigger object, things for more intense from there. The answers seemed more and more on the nose, and the small inkling you had of being watched quickly increased tenfold.
You soon felt like you spent less time engaged in the investigation, and more time peering over your shoulder.
"it was the family name"
"Woodruff? Did you hear Woodruff?" Nate rushed, "are you trying to tell us about the Woodruff family?"
"It went silent" Amanda exclaimed, "like full complete silence for a full 'Mississippi' and then it started again"
"it was in the house"
"Are you tired"
"I hope you don't mind" Nate mentioned, gesturing too the plant, "We have oleander in Amanda's hand-"
"I know"
"-was the death an accident or was it an act of revenge?"
"Nate" you whisper, looking out into the yard, "I...I don't think this is a good idea anymore."
his eyebrows furrowed, peering at you while keeping the camera on Amanda, "Why? What's up"
you sighed, "I just- I think we should stop. something doesn't feel right." you tore your gaze from the dark, looking up to him, "something's wrong-"
"its time to wrap up-"
The blonde spoke removing the blindfold and headphones, "I swear, it said, 'its time to wrap up'"
"See!" you gasped hitting the man's arm, "told you!"
Amanda looked between the two of you, both of your eyes were wide and your posture screamed that you were both worried, "what's going on?"
Nate set the camera down on the bannister, still filming, as he went to get all the equipment together, "N/N was just talking about how something feels wrong and we should quit." he looked up at the blonde, "she's been feeling weird this whole time"
The two continue talking while you walk further up the porch. The feeling of being watched became stronger and stronger as you surveyed the yard, eventually catching a glimpse of something off to the side. You leaned over the wood and squinted, trying your best to get a better look.
Soon, you saw it.
"Guys" you muttered, trying again louder when they didn't respond "Guys!"
Nate looked up seeing how far down the porch you'd wandered, "N/N? what's going on?"
you looked at them eyes wide, "There's someone out here." you panicked, "please, please tell me you're almost done because there's someone in the yard and they're getting closer."
Nate straighted his back, looking into the grass too. he didnt see anything at the moment, but you were so far down and it was dar enough that it could simply be that he was too far. He waved his arm gesturing you over to them, "N/N I need you to come down here right now"
For all he knew, that was some psyco trying to add a new spirit to the home. That spirit, would not be you if he had anything to say about it.
"oh my god" you yelled, running up beside the two, "its getting closer."
The brown haired man moved to shield the two of you, shoving the equipment you three brought out to you an Amanda, only keeping a flashlight, "Go inside."
"but-"
"Y/N go inside."
"Wait" Amanda spoke up, peeking around the man's shoulder, "to the left?"
you were shaking at this point, "yeah, It followed me down from that side"
The blonde moved forward, pulling the flashlight from Nate's grip, illuminating the patch to see nothing there, "There?"
you tilted your head in confusion, "well... yeah? it was-"
Amanda turned off the flashlight and the both of you were greeted with the dark figure once more, this time it was only about 10 feet from the railing.
"oh my god" you breathed, heart hammering in your chest.
The urgency in your boyfriend began to dissipate, believing that while a spirit following his girlfriend wasnt the best- it was better than her being followed by an actual crazy person.
However the seriousness of the blonde nearly doubled once she caught sight of the glowing red eyes. "You are not allowed to be here." she spoke stern, making you stiffen even further, "you do not have permission to follow us or come any closer."
"Amanda, what is happening?" you spoke, eyes trained on the humanoid figure before you.
"move back to the door" the blonde spoke softly to you and nate, before strengthening her voice once more, "You do not have the right to follow us into the home, you must stay out here."
Once the door closed, the blonde watched the figure through the window until it dissolved into the air.
"you see that stuff all the time?" you stuttered, clinging to Nates arms that wrapped around your waist, "like thats what a ghost is? I've never actually seen something like that before"
"no." the blonde spoke turning to face you, "that... Y/N, that wasnt a spirit. that was a demon."

Stuck with Me (4)
Soulmate AU - Draco Malfoy x Reader Summary - Draco finally reunites with his amnesiac soulmate. She still doesn't remember him and he is sad. It gets complicated, they both have issues. Slow burn.
Word Count - 12k
AN: Holy shit. I'm sorry this took me two? years to churn out. But here it is. It's not super proofread which is surprising given it took me two years. I just knew if I didn't publish it the minute I wrote the last word it would never happen. If this is your first time seeing this series don't get discouraged by the length of this part, the other parts are a reasonable length I just went crazy here. part 1, part 2, part 3
Tumblr media
The rubbish that scattered the ruins of Hogwarts dug into the fabric of your pants as you both sat against the walls of what once was the great hall.
Ron and Hermoine had both left, but you were both still there. It was dark and cold, and the moon light illuminated your face in the perfect way. The same way it had when the both of you would walk around the grounds at night, the only time there wasn't any prying eyes.
“So I got amnesia, and you ditched me?” You said plainly, breaking Draco's focus on the details of your face. He had given you a brief recap of what you should remember about him and why he had stayed away for so long, it didn't seem to be going in his favor at the moment.
Draco tensed. “Well when you put it like that..”
“What other way is there to put it?” You snapped back, the fire in your voice was so familiar to him he was almost happy to hear you upset with him.
“Im sorry I really am, I haven’t been making the best decisions as of late.”
“Yeah I can tell.” You said. “Now what?”
“You still don’t remember me?” Draco said, hoping you had remembered and were only dragging it out as a joke.
“No.” You said rolling your eyes.
“I didn't really have a back up plan. I just assumed you seeing me would, I don’t know, kick your memories into gear.”
“Cocky are we?” You said, unimpressed.
“I’ve been called worse”
“I don't doubt it.”
Draco felt as if this conversation was going worse and worse by the second. “You know with the way you're talking to me, you’d think your memories would be back.”
“Yeah maybe they’re sitting in my deep deep deep subconscious.”
“Funny” He said crossing his arms.
“Is that really the best you could do, I mean I am your soulmate after all, couldn’t at least dress up for the occasion?” You motioned to his pajamas, the ones he hadn't changed all week.
He turned bright red, he was going to kill pansy. If this kept conversation kept going as badly as it was, he would make sure Pansy would hear about it for the rest of her life.
“Yeah well, I didn't exactly have the time to pick my Sunday best.” He said. “My friend Pansy quite literally had to drag me off my couch for me to come here.”
“That excited to see me?” You said. “I think I remember her. Pug faced, Slytherin, kind of mean?”
“I'm starting to get offended.” He said frowning. Of course, you remembered Pansy, who you likely interacted one time in your entire life, and not him.
“Im starting to think there’s a reason I didn’t remember you.”
His face visibly fell.
“Sorry, this is kind of a new situation to me, I get mean when I’m nervous.” You said kicking the dirt under your shoes.
“And here I was thinking we were bantering.”
You made a face. “Sure, if that’s what you want to call it.” You weren’t sure how to handle the situation. You knew that you were missing something, even before the moment you saw him with Ginny, something felt off. But that didn’t change the fact that you knew nothing about the boy standing infront of you, your soulmate.
You stood up, reaching out a hand to help him up which he took.
“No use in being among this depressing rubbish is there? I remember Hogwarts, what I don't remember is you.” You said. “Might as well get going, Molly is supposed to make a big meal today, you should join us.”
"Me? In the Weasley house?” Draco chuckled. “Merlin your memory really is fucked.”
-
“Mr. and Mrs Weasley, hello.” Draco said sheepishly.
Draco was assuming that you didn’t know that the both of you would be so late to dinner, or maybe you did and the awkwardness of the situation was you getting some retribution for all the times he wronged you.
The Weasley's all sat around the table, and it was all of them. When Draco imagined a big meal, he just imagined a regular dinner for the Weasleys, but it was a BIG meal, there were mini-Weasleys here he didn't even know existed.
The older ones, Bill, his wife Fleur, Charlie, and Percy tried to remain polite and kept to their conversations.
Ron, George, and Ginny made no such effort.
Ron was about to protest his entrance when Molly stood up quickly welcoming him and magically adding two spots to the already stuffed table. Not surprisingly between the two worst options, Ron and Ginny. Y/n opted to sit next to Ginny leaving Draco to sit next to Ron, he audibly groaned when Draco sat next to him.
“Manners Ron!” Molly said to him causing him to mumble an apology. It came to no shock to Draco that Ron wouldn’t bother to hide his distaste for him, it was deserved to say the least.
“Y/n is a member of this family,” Molly said standing next to the table. “She is free to bring anyone to join our meals, especially when that anyone is her soulmate, I’d think you lot out of anyone would see the importance of a connection like that!”
“Now go on eat your food and stop gawking!” Molly tisked and mumbled under her breath. “As if they’ve never seen a Malfoy before.”
Draco awkwardly kept quiet.
“Thank you, Molly.” You responded. “We’re sorry for coming so late.”
“We’re just glad to have you, darling!” She said. “How is it going by the way, are the memories coming back?”
“It’s a work in progress.” You said smiling.
“Of course.” She said giving you a warm smile.
“Make yourself at home Draco, for as long as you’d like to stay.” Molly said.
Draco was shocked by her hospitability, he thought he would get kicked out of the house the minute they saw him, given his history.
“I’d reckon we should get them their own room Arthur. Better than having them both staying in a cot in Ginny’s room.” She said with a laugh.
“Oh, I don’t think that will be necessary Molly.” You said nearly choking on your food with laughter. “I doubt Draco will be staying for too long.”
“Well, you never know.” Molly said.
“I think it’s about time I’ve got my room back to myself, no offense.” Ginny said with a playful grin on her face.
“Believe me, none taken.” You said. “But I feel as if I’m already imposing enough as it is I wouldn't-“
“Nonsense!” Arthur said. “It’s just a few flicks of the wand.”
“I’m starting to wonder why this didn’t come up a few months ago.” Ginny said.
“Wow I didn’t know rooming with me was such a pain Gin.” You said laughing.
“It was almost worse than when we all were sleeping in the room of requirement, remember?” Ginny said. This was a habit that Ginny had taken on, whenever she spoke about something that happened at Hogwarts she would always check to make sure you knew what she was talking about.
“Yeah, I remember.” You said smiling.
The mood at the table grew somber at the mention of the war and Draco grew stiff. Everyone at the table knew of his role in making the events unfold the way they did and he knew it too.
Bill interrupted with a story of how his baby was learning how to crawl and everyone’s focus shifted to him.
“And how did you come to that conclusion?” Draco said quietly to you. He couldn’t help the nervous feeling that flooded his senses. There had been a point in his life where he felt he couldn’t comfortably tell you anything, now here he was nervous to even speak to you.
“Pardon?”
“You said that I wouldn’t be staying for too long.” He said pulling together all the strength he had to not show his nerves. “I don’t recall deciding that.”
“You spent almost everyday of 6th year complaining to me about how Ron sat next to you in potions. Do you really think you could live here with Ron? Not to mention the rest of the Weasleys” You said it so freely you didn’t even notice that you had remembered something.
“You remember all that?” Draco said with a smile. He saw a glimpse of you, the you that remembered him, and he could almost feel the anxiety melt away. The return of the sense of familiarity.
“Yeah, I guess I do.” You said returning the smile. He missed that smile so fucking much.
“Yeah.” He said taking a spoon full of the stew Molly made. Trying to hide the grin growing on his face, it had been you. For a second maybe but for that second he felt as if he was talking to you, the You he remembered. "I think I’ll be sticking around.”
-
Molly was so excited to show you the new room, she kept going on about how it was the first room she had added since Ron and Ginny grew out of sharing a room. It was cute and looked like the rest of the Burrow.
“Thank you, Molly, this means a lot to me.” You said taking in the act of kindness. “You’ve been so kind taking me in the way that you have.”
“You are family.” She said pressing a kiss to your forehead. “We are here to help you through every step of your recovery, and then some.”
She looked at Draco who stood awkwardly at the entrance of the room.
“I’ll leave you two to it.” She said with a warm smile that Draco was growing to like.
“This is cozy.” He said.
“I hope you mean cozy in a good way.” You said making a face at him.
“Believe me, I do,” Draco said. "This is a mansion compared to my living arrangements these past few months.”
“Who were you staying with.” You asked as you ran your finger along the books Molly had no doubt picked out for you that sat on your new nightstand that had the signature Arthur Weasley touch, meaning that it was somewhat slanted but you wouldn't have it any other way.
“Blaise Zabini, you probably wouldn’t remember him.” Draco continued with a laugh. “Don’t believe I ever got around to introducing you two.”
“Was that a joke?” You said. “Can’t really tell if something actually never happened, or if I’m just not remembering it.”
“Oh, it was a joke.” He said embarrassed. “I never introduced you to any of my friends, our relationship was, private.”
“Except for this one time.” He laughed. “You had come up to my table during a meal and sat yourself across from me demanding me to speak with you, and when Pansy told you to buzz off you told her you were my soulmate.”
“Wow, I sound amazing.” You laughed.
“Yeah. You had your moments.”
He liked talking to you again, hearing your voice was intoxicating, but still, your conversations felt so impersonal.
You still had your snark but it wasn’t you, you didn’t look at him the way you used to, and he didn’t look at you the way he used to. It was as if someone else was living in your body.
Neither of you knew quite how to speak to the other so the room was filled with tense and awkward air, something Draco had never experienced with you.
“I think it’s best if we don’t stay in the same room.” Draco said.
“Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.” You said. “Where will you stay?”
“I have an idea, a potentially problematic one, but an idea nonetheless.”
-
“Are you demented.” Ron squealed. “You really think I’d have you sleeping in my room? I’d prefer to not be smothered in my sleep thank you very much.”
“Weasley.” Draco had never in his life imagined himself in this position. Groveling with Ron Weasley to let him stay in his room, it was almost hysterical.
“Don't Weasley me!” Ron scoffed. “It’s one thing you being my home, but my room! You’re out of your bloody mind, you’ve completely lost it.”
Draco wasn’t dim. He in no way had been expecting Ron to welcome him into his house with open arms, much less his room. But he was desperate, he had to be close to you. He wasn’t going to give up, not this time. He would make you fall in love with him a million times if he had to.
“I can’t sleep in the same room as her, and I don’t have any other options if I want to stay here.”
“She’s your soulmate, stay with her!”
“She’s not my soulmate, she’s not my y/n.”
“This is exactly why I don’t need you in my room.” Ron huffed. “I have no interest in any of your issues.”
“It won’t be a long time just until she regains her memory,” Draco said hurriedly. “This is me groveling Weasley, please.”
Ron let out a long and dramatic groan throwing himself onto his bed.
“If you kill me, I’ll be really mad.”
“I gathered that.”
-
“We really took nature walks?” You questioned. Stepping on the stones that lead you further away from the Burrow. The Weasleys lived fairly removed from anyone else leaving plenty of land to explore.
“Once in a while,” Draco said. “I think the stress of war really brought out our appreciation for the simpler things in life.”
Your hair was pinned up and you looked stunning, not that he could say that to you.
"How long are you staying for." You asked. "Not that I want you to leave."
"As long as it takes." He said. "If that's alright without you."
"That's alright with me." You said smiling at him. "Better than having you go be all lethargic on Blaise's couch." Even though Draco still felt like an acquintainces, you couldn’t help but feel guilty. You had gathered from what Ginny said that he hadn’t been in a good state since your injury and it weighed on you, you felt responsible somehow for what he had gone through in the last few months. You felt even more guilty about still not remembering him.
"Fair enough."
"You know he wrote me."
"He wrote you?"
"He wanted to make sure I was treating his best friend right." You said with a grin. "He really cares about you it's sweet."
"When you get your memories back you have to meet my friends, they've heard a lot about you."
"I wonder how long it's going to take." You say. "It's already been a week."
"Don't rush yourself." He said.
"I know, it's just so frustrating." You said. "I remember everything but you."
"It’s just the universe getting back at me for being born, it’ll pass."
-
It didn’t pass, months went by, and as each month came and went you both were growing less and less hopeful of your memories coming back. It was eating away at you, the way he looked at you when he was referencing something you knew he was praying you’d remember and how he looked every time you had to let him down. It was the same thing over and over, you would spend time together, he would bring something up from your past, you wouldn’t remember it and then he would remember you weren’t the y/n he fell in love with, those shoes were beginning to seem impossible to fill.
The stress you were under was overwhelming, every minute of your day felt like it was devoted to remembering. You weren’t allowed to move on with your life, to create new memories, not until you had recovered the old ones.
You tried to stifle your cries with your pillow but Ginny almost had a sixth sense with her keen readings of your emotions, so there she was at your door.
“Y/n.” She said softly approaching you, taking your face into her hands. “Hey, it’s okay.” She said continuing to soothe you. “I’m letting everyone down Ginny, why can’t I fucking remember? That’s the only thing anyone wants from me and it’s the one thing I can’t do.”
“What are you talking about.” Ginny said, “We just want you to be happy.” You took a second to catch your breath.
“Every conversation I have just seems like a test, I just want to live Ginny. I can’t keep going on like this, I’m just going to keep disappointing everyone and that’s too much for me.”
“You could never disappoint us.” She said pressing a kiss to the top of your head. “But I get how you feel, I’ll tell everyone to cool it, I promise.” “What about Draco?” He was your biggest concern. He had the most at stake with you, every day he was counting on seeing his soulmate in you and you just could never seem to do that for him. You didn’t want to let him down, make him think that his soulmate was gone for good.
“What about him?” Ginny huffed. “If he loves you as much as he said he does he’s going to be kicking himself knowing how you’ve been feeling. Everyone just wants you to be happy Y/n.”
Ginny left you alone with your thoughts, you knew you had to cool it with Draco. Maybe it was the amount of pressure you put on your relationship that wasn’t letting you remember it all.
-
You knocked on his door quietly.
“Come in.” He yelled from behind the door. Fred, Ron, and Draco were sprawled on the floor around some sort of floor, it was certainly an interesting sight.
“We’re playing wizard skittles, you want to play?” Draco said, eager to include you.
“No way man, we’re midgame. We’d have to start all over and I’m winning.” Ron said nudging at Draco to redirect his attention, which Draco ignored. “I’m good actually, I was hoping to talk to you, Draco.” The three boys looked at you not moving. “Alone.”
“We know when we’re not wanted,” Fred said taking the game out of the room with Ron on his tail. “You’re disqualified Malfoy.” Draco rolled his eyes before turning his attention back to you. “Is it your memory, is it back?” He said eagerly, you could almost hear him holding his breath. “No. But I did want to talk about that.” You said, he patted the spot next to him on the floor cushions and you sat next to him.
“I think it’s best for me, and my memory if I just stop all this.” Draco furrowed his eyebrows, taken aback . “I’m not following?”
“The constant questions, you walking me through every day we spent together. I just can’t take it. What if I never get my memory back.” You had already started getting yourself used to the idea. “That’s not going to happen, you’re already so close.” The thing was that you weren’t. You knew it, and you knew he knew it too. He just didn’t want to admit it.
“I’ve been close for months, this might well be the best we get and I think I need to move on with my life and so do you.”
“If that’s what you want,” Draco said looking at the ground and you counted yourself lucky for that. You wouldn’t be able to bare it, the final look of devastation and disappointment on his face.  “ I can be out by the end of the week, I just need to talk to Blaise about moving back in.” He said looking away from you looking completely defeated “I’m sure he won't mind.”
“You don’t need to leave Draco.” You said, and you truly meant it. You liked Draco you really did, the issue was that you didn’t love him. The last thing you wanted to do was uproot his life again and make him start over. Besides where would he go? Regardless of your feelings for him, he was your soulmate, and you couldn’t let your soulmate go homeless.
“You were the only thing keeping me here.” He said sharply.
“You like it here, the Weasleys love you and besides you said you hated Blaise’s couch.”
“I do hate Blaise’s couch.” He took a long pause, still not looking you in the eyes. “I’ll let you know, thank you Y/n.”
“I’m sorry.” “I’m sorry for the way I’ve made you feel.” -
“What the fuck mate!” Ron said swinging the door open. Draco tensed at the sound. Him and Ron had surprisingly become good friend. Admittedly, it had taken a while but he found he had truly enjoyed the company of the person he despised for the majority of his life. The issue with that is that Ron no longer had any hesitation on commenting on his personal life. “Why did Blaise just write me saying you’re thinking of moving back in with him.” “She’s given up, she wants to move and I need to let her.” Draco said, avoiding eye contact with Ron. “She told you to leave? I can change her mind.” Ron said. Draco couldn’t help but feel a bit flattered that Ron would be willing to do that for him. “No, she told me to stay.” “Then why the fuck are you leaving.”
“Staying is going to break my heart.” Ron looked at Draco with pity. Draco hated that.
“You’re going to be heartbroken either way. Stop being stupid.” Ron didn’t get it, he and Hermoine had this annoyingly perfect relationship.
“I don’t want to impose on your family anymore either.” “I actually had a thought about that.” Ron said. “Ginny and I were thinking about moving out. We found a great flat, with four bedrooms. Hermione and I in one room, Ginny was going to take one, Y/n would take another and we have a fourth one, for you. ”
Draco stilled, “Really?” Flattered couldn’t begin to describe how he felt. This wasn’t a spur of the moment, ‘we’ll make it work’. They had thought of him when planning this. They wanted him there. “What about Potter?”
“Tried to convince him but I think he’s going to be staying with Andromeda,” Ron said. “Your aunt, he wants to help with Teddy. Feels awful guilty I reckon.”
Draco paused. His heart couldn’t help but feel lighter. Ron Weasley liked him. He was inviting him to live together, by choice. He had never imagined what forgiveness would feel like, but this seemed to be it or something close to it anyways. “I’ll talk to Y/n about it, I wouldn’t want to make her uncomfortable.”
“Ginny and I haven’t talked to her about it yet, but I’m sure she’ll be fine with it,” Ron said putting a hand on Draco’s shoulder and nodding at him. “So you can unpack that bag, at least for now.”
-
You held your boxes of things close to your chest as you walked up the stairs of your apartment building toward your new flat. It would be hard to get used to not using magic for everything, but Hermione insisted on it. Her new job in the Ministry had her more strict on the statute of secrecy than she had been in school.
“Need a hand?” Draco called from behind you. You were happy that he had chosen to join you, truly you were. The last thing you wanted was to tear him away from a life he had grown comfortable with, you saw the way he was happy with Ginny and Ron, and based on the letters you had gotten from both Pansy and Blaise this was the first time he had felt that way in a long time. He took a box from the top of your teetering pile before opening the door for you.
“It’s,  nice.” You said with an evident pause. The question of how you had gotten such an affordable deal was instantaneously answered, you turned to Draco to see how he felt about the place but saw no such reaction.
“I’ll take what I can get,” Draco said setting your box and his things down. “I lived on Blaise’s couch for a year and have been sleeping a few feet away for Ron for the last few months. My own room is a blessing.”
“It’s perfect,” Ginny said entering the flat with her own boxes in tow, Harry not too far behind, helping her with her things. “I love Mum, but Merlin am I excited for some freedom.” “Like you ever listened to her.” Ron snorted, your friends fell into their comfortable banter and you wandered off toward the rooms. They were tiny for sure but you couldn’t help but like them. You were beginning to feel normal again when you first woke up and had no memory you didn’t see yourself living a normal life but here you were, back on track. Your eyes found themselves on Draco and you felt uneasy, you didn’t know how he fit into your new life. He was your roommate now,  his place in this flat was as cemented as yours. You no longer felt guilt every time you saw him, that was a step forward for sure, but still, a sort of uneasiness came over you. You pushed it aside, the whole reason you had shut down Draco the way you had was so you’d be able to have a normal life, and that included treating Draco like you would every other person in the flat, like a friend.
-
“Draco your friends are here.” Ron called from the door as Pansy pushed past Ron and into the flat.
“Sorry.” Blaise said.
“What have I said about apologizing for me Blaise?” Pansy groaned. “Which room is Draco’s?”
“What are you guys doing here?” Draco asked.
“Starts living with a bunch of Gryffindors and forgets all about his friends, typical.” Pansy exclaimed.
“I got to say I agree with her.” Blaise said.
Ron walked away from them, overwhelmingly uninterested in their dramatics.
“I haven’t forgotten about you,” Draco said. “You guys are my best friends.”
“Okay we get it,” Pansy said rolling her eyes. “No need to get all sentimental.”
Draco had really missed his friends, he liked his flat mates he really did. It took some time to get used to ‘Game Night’ but he was growing to appreciate the Gryffindor-esque of his roomates. But Pansy and Blaise had been there from the beginning, there were things about Draco that only they would understand, them and Y/n, of course, atleast the old Y/n.
“We’re taking you out for drinks.” Pansy exclaimed excitedly, shaking Draco slightly.
“Not my idea,” Blaise said shaking his head.
“I’m controlling myself now, I’ll be fine.” Draco said. He really was getting better, he didn’t like to think about the mess he was before he had moved in with the Weasleys.
“So emotional, the both of you,” Pansy said shaking her head. “It’s so boring.”
Pansy fussed over both his and Blaise’s outfits for the next hour before sheathing her jacket to show off one of her clubbing outfits, only much more extravagant than anything Draco has seen her wear in the past.
“Where exactly are we going?” Draco said.
“Don’t worry your pretty little head about that,” Pansy said.
-
It was worse than Draco expected, Pansy had really outdone herself. The club was packed, every few steps Draco felt the sweat of others on him and had to stop himself from physically cringing.
“Let loose a little!” Pansy said, her own excitement visible all over her face as she leaned over the bar to talk to the bartender.
“When was the last time you had a little fun?” Blaise said.
“I have fun.” Draco said. “I like living with all of them.” “I don’t mean that type of fun.”
Draco snorted. “What to do you think.” “You depress me Draco, you really do.” Blaise said. “Do you need me to be your wingman or something? How times have changed, the Draco Malfoy needs help getting laid.”
“I don’t need help getting laid Blaise,” Drcao said, embarassed and irritated. “I just don’t really want to.” “Merlin, it’s even worse than I thought.” Blaise immediately turned to the bartender ordering drinks for the both of them.
-
Draco sits at the bar silently, Blaise had found someone else more interesting and abandoned him so he was sulking at a bar, very typical of him, he thought to himself. He tried to look as unapproachable as possible but he felt a burning stare on him and couldn’t help but turn to look who was sending it. He looked up to see a girl who was intently headed in his direction, he looked around for his friends desperate for a quick way out but they were no where to be found.
The girl took a seat next to him, “Thanks for the drink.” She said with a slight giggle and she swirled her drink around before drinking more of it. Draco stared down at her cup completely confused before putting it together, Blaise just loved to meddle. He wasn’t sure what to say but luckily for him there was no need for that, the girl talked his ear off.
Eventually she grew tired of sitting and dragged him to the dance floor. Draco didn’t want to offend this girl so he feigned the most interest he could while simultaneously backing away from her. He was already many drinks in and he still wasn’t able to drown out the fact that this girl was not you. Evidently the girl didn’t pick up on just how put off Draco was and he had to put an end to it.
He pushed her hands off of his chest where they had been,
 “Hey-”
Whatever protest he was going to put up were quickly shut down by the girl all but throwing herself on Draco, her lips were smothering his and Draco was complteley frozen for one second and the next he was gagging. The girl backed away immediately in disgust, just in time for Draco to throw up all over her shoes. The attention of the entire room seemed to be on him and the girl as many of them began to laugh at the scene. Pansy and Blaise quickly found him and dragged him to the bathroom.
Pansy tried to stiffly her laughter as Blaise scolded her.
“I thought you could hold your liquor Malfoy.” Blaise laughed. “Time have really changed.”
“It wasn’t the drinks, she kissed me.” Draco mumbled.
“Did she taste bad or something?” Pansy chortled.” God how embarrassing, for her that is.”
“She tasted fine.” Draco said as he cleaned himself infront of the bathroom mirror.
“It’s okay mate, you tried.” Blaise said. “But if you had let me be your wingman you probably wouldn’t have thrown up.” “I really don’t want to talk about this anymore.” Draco said plainly, amusment gone from his voice. He could’ve told them that this would have happened. Saved them the trouble. He was living with you as friends sure, but that didn’t mean he was over his soulmate. Pansy and Blaise exchanged a guilty look.
“We’ll take you back to your place.”
-
Draco closes the door behind him quietly, feel a bit of relief wash over him.
“Hey,” You said from the sofa, she was sat down working on some sort of craft project. “How was your night out?”
He considered being honest with you, telling you that he threw up because he couldn’t handle kissing anyone that wasn’t his soulmate. But there would be no point in that because you were not his soulmate. He wasn’t sure when it had set in but he knew that he didn’t feel the same way seeing you as he once did, so he lied. “It went great.”
“That’s great,” You said smiling up at him. Draco started to head towards his room before you called after him. “I actually wanted to talk to you about something.”
He nodded before taking a seat on the couch, leaving a seat between the both of you.
“I don’t know how to approach this, given our situation.” You looked up while you spoke, avoiding his eyes. “I got asked on date, and I wanted to take them up on the offer. I just wanted to check with you before I said anything, I would hate to make you uncomfortable.” He didn’t understand how he felt, he thought he didn’t love this new Y/n but the thought of you going on a date with someone else made him want to throw up again. It was a constant whirl of confusion, but you seemed to know what you wanted. The only thing he did know was that he missed his soulmate, so much that it hurt.
“Go for it, I’m good.” Draco lied. “Really, I am.”
-
You posed in front of the mirror with Ginny and Hermione.
“We look so good,” She shook you with excitement. “I’m serious we’re going to kill this party.”
“This is what our last few years should’ve been like, partying, dressing up,” Ginny said shaking her head. “Not war.”
“I’m glad Parvati is having this party,” You said adjusting the straps of your dress. “Melin, we need it. I mean when was the last time any of us were able to feel our age.”
“I agree,” Hermione said. “And we look really good.”
The three of you were dressed as pirates, Parvati had called all of you up only a week ago with the idea of throwing a Halloween party and you had all been in agreement. “Can you tell Draco that he has to go?” Ron said standing in your doorway and knocking on the bathroom door to get your attention.
“He doesn’t want to go?” Hermione asks.
“No,” Ron says frustrated. “He thinks people aren’t going to want him there.”
You follow Ginny and Hermione out of the bathroom, Draco is sat on the couch arms crossed, likely already having received a lecture from Ron on the importance of Halloween parties.
“Draco get dressed!” Ginny exclaimed pulling his blanket off of him. “You’re going to make us late.”
“I already said I’m not going,” Draco said yanking his blanket back. “I’m serious, I don’t want to spend my whole night surrounded by people who hate me.”
“They don’t hate you.” Ginny said, sounding wholey unconvincing.
Draco didn’t budge off of the couch.
“Fine whatever, be lame!” Ginny said going back to getting ready followed by Hermione. Ron scoffed and went back to putting together his own costume, a mummy. You stood awkwardly in the living room, across from Draco. His eyes softened when it was just you, whatever irritation he had at his friends dissipated.
“The point of this party is to get everyone’s spirits up after everything we’ve gone through,” You said. “You went through the War just like the rest of us, you deserve to move on too.”
You give him a small smile before heading off to the bathroom too. Ginny talked your ear off about how excited she was to see everyone and Harry who had been so busy lately. You nodded along to her recounts drifting off until a soft knock caught your attention.
Draco stood at the door, he was wearing an orange shirt with a haphazardly drawn face on it, “I’m a pumpkin.” He said, you couldn’t help but smile up at him.
-
It seemed like your entire year had shown up to the party, it felt strange seeing everyone in the same place again. Your friends had all dispersed all having their own people to catch up with, except for Draco who stuck by your side.
“Are your friends coming?” You asked him as you maneuvered through the crowd of people.
Draco snorted, “No, Pansy told me she’d rather die and Blaise said that I’d damper his Halloween spirit.”
“I guess we’ll just have to show Blaise you have tons of Halloween spirit.” You said.
“I guess we do.” Draco laughed. “Want me to get us some drinks?”
You nodded before he walked off, you could sense his uneasiness as he walked towards the drinks, having to get past all of the people who wanted nothing to do with him. You hoped he’d be able to have a good time, you were the reason he was here after all.
You were brought away from your thoughts at the familiar nasal tone of Romilda Vane’s voice, it was the same one you heard gossiping almost every night in the Gryffindor common room.
“What is he doing here?”
“Doesn’t he look good,” Lavender said. “Merlin, how does he make orange work?”
“He’s a murder Lav, get yourself together,” Romilda said. “ How the fuck did his psycho ass even get invited?”
“Apparently he lives with Ron, Ginny, Hermione, and Y/n.” Katie chimed in. “Merlin, he’s got to have put some spell on them.” Romilda said in disbelief. “What the fuck is he playing at.”
“You don’t know what you’re talking about.” You spun around to face them, the look on the three girls faces blanched for a second, not having seen you. “Mind your own fucking business.”
Lavendar and Katie backed away, not wanting the confrontation but Romilda only puffed out her chest and stepped closer to you, it was an intimidation tacit she had used since your first year.
“We have the right to be concerned for our safety.” Romilda sneered. “Well, I’m telling you that your perfectly safe, so shut your mouth Romilda.” You said trying not to backdown. You were not a fighter, Ginny had enough aggressiveness for the both of you.
“What, are you shagging him?” Romilda laughed. “Is that really all it takes to get you to forget that Death Eaters are bad, it’s pathetic really. ”
Before you could even process that Ginny was right behind you, ready to handle Romilda herself, you hit her. Your fist stung and you shook it as she cried out and gripped at her face, making a spectacle of herself. Everyone was turning to look at you.
“What is going on?” Padma said. You explained under your breath, Padma had always been your friend more than Romilda’s, it didn’t take much convincing to show her Romilda was in the wrong. It was Romilda after all. Katie and Lavender had to drag her out as she cried out in protest.
“I’m so sorry Padma, I know how much this party meant to you, and to everyone.” You were more than embarrassed.
“She was out of line, it would’ve been wrong for you not to put her in her place.” She said before leaving you on your own. The party quickly picked up, your drama no doubt firing a bit of the stir.
“Was that awesome or what?” Ginny said coming up you with Hermione and Ron in tow. “Where did you learn to hit like that? Oh wait, I totally taught you!”
“Where’s Draco?” You asked, there was no way he had missed all the commotion. You hoped you hadn’t made him feel worse. Ginny rolled her eyes at how quickly you killed her excitement. “In some corner sulking probably,” Ron said. Hermione supported his statement, nudging your elbow and pointing towards where he was. Standing in a corner of the room while swirling his drink around. You abandoned your friends and walked towards him, already piling up the stew of apologies you owed him. “I’m so sorry Draco, I didn’t mean to bring more attention to you.”
He looked at you confused, “You hit Romilda because of me?” Your face turned red.
“You didn’t hear all that?”
“Not until she started screaming. Shit, I knew I shouldn’t have come.”
“No, It’s my own fault. I just got myself carried away.”
“What happened?”
“She was just saying stuff she had no business saying.” You said.
“I’m sorry.” “For what?” “Ruining your night, if I hadn’t come she wouldn’t have had anything to talk about.” “Don’t apologize. You're my friend, I’ll make a million more scenes if I have to.”
“Please don’t.” He laughed before his expression softened. “I’m glad we’re friends by the way.” Draco meant it too. Surprisingly, it was getting easier. You weren’t the Y/n that was his soulmate, you were the Y/n that was his friend and this reality was increasingly becoming less scary.
“Me too.”
“Fuck.” He said.
“What?” “Now I have to punch someone.” Draco said pinching the bridge of his nose, feigning anguish. You laughed and shoved him.
-
“What is she doing!” Ginny yelped as she pressed herself to the window trying to get the best look down from her apartment building.
“Keep your voice down.” Hermione scolded from next to her, although she was equally as curious. Even with Hermione’s shushing Draco and Ron came out of their rooms to see what the fuss was about.
“What’s going on?” Draco said looking between the two girls and then at Ron who looked equally as confused.
Ginny let out a scream at the sight of Draco before standing on the couch making her best effort to cover the window. “Don’t look!” Draco ignored Ginny and went up to the window, it was You. You were wearing, what Ginny would call a ‘Bad Bitch’ outfit, it was new, he definitely hadn’t seen it before. It seemed like you were going to wear it to wherever Zacharias Smith was planning on taking you in that car of his. This must’ve been that date you had told him about, he wasn’t sure why he hadn’t thought it was going to happen, but here it was.
“It’s fine.” He said moving away from the window. “She told me she was going on a date.” “Did you know it was with Zacharias Smith!” Ginny exclaimed, sinking into the sofa in defeat. “That guy sucks!”
Draco didn’t know Zacharias but he was glad to have a valid reason to not like him, although Ginny’s bar for ‘suck’ was pretty low.
“It’s really none of my business.” Draco said, he didn’t miss the look of pity from Hermione and Ron.
“It its your business,” Ginny said. “You’re her soulmate!”
Draco sighed “I really don’t want to get into this right now.” “It’s alright mate.” Ron said, patting him on the back. “Leave him alone Ginny!”
Draco made his way back to his room, shutting the door behind him to try to lose the sound of Ginny and Ron arguing. He was trying to convince himself that it was fine, he had date options too! He could finally take Astoria up on that offer, Pansy wouldn’t let him hear the end of it, Astoria being Daphne’s baby sister and all that, but still. What did Pansy know anyways? If Y/n could move on, he could to. In fact he had to, he didn’t want to seem obsessed with her or anything like that. They were roomates afterall.
Draco pulled paper out of his desk before writing to Astoria, he crumbled it up the first time. But the second time he managed a possibly too formal invitation for a date, he handed it to his owl before he had the chance to change his mind.
-
You picked at your food as Zacharias went on about what he’s been up to since Hogwarts. Working his way up the ministry ladder, or something along those lines. You remembered one of the conversations you had with Draco when you were still trying to get your memories back, he was telling you how he’d rather die than be a Ministry Man like his father, and grandfather and possibly all the Malfoy men before him. Zacharia had not no such concerns. You took a mouthful of your pasta before noticing the way he was looking at you, eyes wide with a slight smile, head tilted like he was expecting something. He must have said a joked that you missed.
“Sorry!” You said, “Trying not to laugh with my mouth full!” “No worries, it’s good for a woman to have manners.”
You held back a laugh, but this time not to have ‘manners’ but to spare his feelings.
-
Draco poured cereal into his bowl as he heard the sounds of keys jingling, outside of the door. Would it be awkward for him to be in the kitchen as you came in, would it seem like it was on purpose? It was already too late for him to go running into his room, he had to act natural.
The door opened and he could hear the voice of Zacharias carrying into the flat.
“I had a great time.” Zacharias said. Merlin he even soiunded like a prat.
“Thanks.” You said awkwardly, “Me too.” Draco wondered if you meant it, but he was quickly taken away from his thoughts by the sight of Zacharias pushing you into the door and kissing you. The door, which was already open agape, swung open at Zacharias pushing your body against it and hitting the wall. Draco really wished he had taken that chance at making a run for his room.
Zacharias moved away from your completely still form at the sight of Draco. “You live with him?”
“Uh, yeah.” You said stepping away from him further.
“Whatever.” Zacharias scoffed, clearly upset by Draco’s presence. “I’ll call you.”
“What was that about.” Draco said as you went to close the door behind Zacharias.
“Oh, well we talked about our soulmates. So I explained our whole situation, I just didn’t mention that we lived together.”
“I hope that’s not a problem.” Draco said, in reality he hoped it was a problem but you didn’t need to know that. “In all honesty, I don’t really care if it is.” You said kicking your shoes off. “Good night Draco.”
“Night.” He called out after you, the urge to go on a date with Astoria was very much gone but he knew that the Owl had likely reached her by now. He was expecting a howler from Daphne any second about asking her sister out without checking with her first.
Draco groaned and poured his cereal down the drain, he had lost his appetite.
-
Draco went on his date with Astoria, and then some. And you grew to tolerate Zacharias.
Even with the both of you being involved with other people, the undeniable fact was that it was your day. Unbeknownst to both of you, you would both lay awake at night under the same roof wondering what would happen. What if you didn’t hear eachother’s voices? Draco thought that would explain why things weren’t the same, but he didn’t want to consider that. He didn’t want to replace you. Although sometimes it felt like he was, Astoria laughed a certain way or wore a certain shirt and he was reminded of how he never meant to date again.
You were stretching, having just woken up when you felt the tug. You were stunned for a second, one of the things you had yet to remember where the tugs, you couldn’t remember a single one and here you were experiencing it again.
Draco spoke first, “How are you?”
The confirmation that was hearing his voice somehow lifted a pressure off your chest. “I’m well. What are you having for breakfast?”
“I was going to have pancakes.” He answered.
You stepped into your slippers before making your way to his room. You knocked twice.
“Come in.” He called.
You pushed the door open and stood in his doorway. “Hey soulmate.” “Hey.” He said laughing a little, although there was a ting of sadness carried in his tone.
“Mind if I join you for those pancakes.” You said.
“Not at all.” He smiled stepping out of bed.
You were so sucked into the domesticity of it all, the way you and Draco were able to get through everything you’d gone through and still be friends that you almost missed the way he managed to look good even after just waking up, almost.
-
You were a nervous wreck, dinner usually had away of going sideways with the 5 of you, now with the added elements of Harry, Zacharias, and Astoria you weren’t entirely sure what to expect.
It had been your idea after all, you had made an attempt at convincing Ginny that Zacharias wasn’t the complete asshole that he had been at Hogwarts to no avail. So this dinner was to try and show them that you were going out with him for more than a free meal, and to possible also convince yourself of that as well. And if you we’re being completely honest you wanted to see what Astoria’s deal was. Draco never brought her over to the flat, the same way you never let Zacharias get past the door way. But now they’d both be in your home, fantastic.
-
The doorbell rang through the house. Everyone was here except for her, the spot next to Draco and across from you was empty. Draco stood from his chair to get the door, but not before catching the anxious look on your face.
You turned towards Zacharias pretending to be interested in whatever he was telling Ron and Harry about, you could see it on their faces that they were about disinterested as you. You wondered what exactly made you continue to date him, he was handsome, maybe that was it. Sometimes he could be funny, and he was very gentlemanly. You supposed that was enough.
Astoria sat across from you. You knew she was a year or two below you in school but that was about all you knew about her, but she looked exactly like you imagined her to. Her dark brown hair was blown out and framed her pale face nicely, she had light blue eyes that contrasted against her dark hair and her bold red lipstick. She was from one of those old rich pureblood families like Draco and she looked the part. Seeing them sit next to each other they looked like a perfect fit for each other, the Ministry husband and the gala-planning wife.
You noticed that everyone’s eyes were on you.
“Sorry?” You said, clearly having missed something.
“Astoria was just introducing herself to you.” Draco said, concern etched on his face.
“Right, sorry.” You said. “Lovely to meet you, truly.” She gave you a tight lipped smile as she exchanged pleasantries with the rest of the table.
Zacharias gave you a weird look but you missed it, instead staring down at your plate.
The small talk was going well for a few minutes. Not that you were too engaged in it, you couldn’t help but sneak looks at Astoria and Draco. You knew you had wanted him to move on from you for so long, but it’s one thing to want it and another for it to happen right before your eyes.
“So Zacharias, what have you been up to.” Harry asked Zacharias.
“Working at the Ministry, surprised you lot aren’t there too.” Zacharias said. “Working isn’t for everyone, I suppose.” You elbowed him for his brassness.
“Well Zacharias,” Ginny said. From the way she put her fork down you nearly wanted to cower under the table. “Some of us have a War to recover from.”
Zacharias snorted. “I went through the war too, I’m perfectly fine.” “Did you though?” Hermione said under her breath.
“What was that?”
You wanted to scream. The worst possible scenario was actively unfolding. You felt the realization wash over you, this guy was actually just a fucking asshole.
“Everyone saw your cowardness Zacharias.” Hermione said sitting up straight and looking directly at him. “You pushed first years into danger to get yourself out of it.”
“It’s called survival skills,” Zacharias said, not backing down. “Maybe if you lot had some this table would be a little more full, yeah?”
The table went silent as Zacharias pointedly made eye contact with Ginny and Ron.
“You need to go.” You said breaking the silence, you couldn’t even look up at him from how humiliated you felt.
“What!” Zacharias said offended, “I’m just standing up for myself.”
“Get out!” You said standing up. “I’m serious Zacharias, you need to go.”
Zacharias stood up aggressively and the rest of the table except for Astoria stood too.
You walked to the door holding it open for him. “Now.”
Zacharias angerly gathered his stuff and made his way out. “Can one of you make sure he finds his way out?” You said, tears welling up as you made your way to your room followed by Hermione and Ginny.
“I’ve got this.” Draco said, motioning for Harry and Ron to stay put.
-
“What the fuck, are you following me?” Zacharias said as Draco got into the elevator after him.
“Just making sure you find your way out.” Draco seethed.
“Well, I’m fine, thanks.”
“Yeah I think I’ll stick around until you’re out the door.” Zacharias huffed and Draco stood in the elevator arms crossed until they reached the ground floor.
When Zacharias stood outside of the apartment building, he looked back at Draco, eyes flailing. Zacharias rubbed his face in frustration before mumbling under his breath a curse mixed with your name.
“Excuse me?” Draco said grabbing him by the collar. “You’re friend’s a cunt.” Zacharias seethed, not backing down despite having Draco at his neck.
Draco ignored the voice of a cop down the street yelling at him to let Zacharias go. Zacharias pushed Draco off of him only to be met with Draco’s fist. Zacharias pushed Draco back and made to punch him back before Draco pushed him onto the ground.
“Cut it out!” The cop yelled getting inbetween the both of them.
-
“Merlin, fuck.” Harry said watching from the window.
He knocked on your door not wanting to disturb whatever motivational speech Ginny and Hermione were giving you. “Sorry to interrupt but, I’m afraid Draco is getting arrested.”
“What?” Astoria said standing up from the table and looking out the window herself. “Merlin, Draco.”
You wiped the tears of humiliation off your face and went to go look out the window too. “They’re taking him away! Where are they taking him to.” “Where do you think,” Ron groaned. “Most likely the police station genius.”
“I don’t need this snark right now my s-” You paused. “Draco is being arrested.”
Astoria stood awkwardly next to you, not entirely sure how to react.
“I’ll drive.” Ginny said grabbing her keys off of the counter and making her way out of the flat.
“I think I’ll go on my own.” Astoria said, forcing a smile.
“Right of course.” You said closing the door behind her.
-
Draco’s phone call was met by voicemail so he assumed that his friends were already on their way. Merlin, what was he going to say, Astoria wouldn’t find it weird that he punched Zacharias for you would she? Would you find it weird?
The door of the police station swung open, it was you and the rest of his friends, with a lack of Astoria that went unnoticed by Draco. You rushed to the desk telling them what you were there for, you looked so concerned. Draco found it entirely endearing. The secretary went off to talk to one of the officer and your eyes scanned the room for Draco, you waved slightly when you finally saw him, he smiled at that.
-
“We’ll let you off with just a warning this time.” The officer said, you trailing not too far behind him. “You the girlfriend?” He said turning to you. You blinked staring at Draco and then at the officer.
“No, that would be me.” Astoria said coming up next to you, because she was his girlfriend. Not you. There had been no reason for you to hesitate, yet you did.
“Just keep him out of trouble Ma’am.” The officer said. “Let there not be a next time.” “There won’t be officer,” Astoria said smiling at him in a way that made the officer turn light pink. She was charming, you never considered yourself charming.
“Do you want to ride home with us?” You asked looking back towards your friends who were waiting by the door of the station, watching curiously on this unspoken game of tug-a-war between you and Astoria.
“I think he’ll come with me.” Astoria interrupted before Draco could answer. “There’s probably not enough room in Ginny’s car.”
She grabbed Draco by the hand leading him out of the police station without stopping to say goodbye.
Draco glanced back at you with a tight lipped smile. “I’ll see you at home?”
You nodded.
-
You fell asleep waiting for Draco to come home, the sound of the door opening woke you up. You stood to talk to him.
“Why’d you hit Zacharias?” You said standing across from him.
Draco sighed, shaking his jacket off and throwing it onto the couch. He ran a hand through his hair before answering, “Because.” He paused. “I’d do anything for you.”
Your breath catched at the look on his face as he turned to you. His eyes were dark and all of his focus was on one thing, you. He got closer to you until you could feel his breathing on your nose.
“Draco,” You said, “Fuck.” His finger tilted your face upwards to kiss you before he pushed you closer to the sofa, he spun you and pulled you down with him until you were sitting on his lap. His mouth was on your neck but he moved his wet kisses down towards your chest, yanking on your shirt until you pulled it off over your head.
“Y/n” He called, you only hummed in response.
“Y/n.” You blinked slowly, you were on the couch but not on top of Draco. No Draco was in front of you, shaking you awake.
“Did you fall asleep waiting up for me?” He asked, brows furrowed.
Your chest heaved with each shallow breath.
“Are you okay?” He asked, taking in your appearance.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” You said rubbing your eyes as you sat up. “What time is it?”
“It’s 2.” He said. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know you’d be waiting up for me.”
“No, I don’t know why I thought you were coming right home.” You said. “I should go to my room.”
He nodded, “Good night.” You stopped in your doorway, turning to look at him. “Why’d you hit Zacharias?” “You’re my friend.” Draco said. “And he was being a prat.” “Sorry, you got arrested.” You said.
He shrugged. “No big deal.”
“Good night Draco.” You said before closing the door behind you. You didn’t give yourself time to think about your dream, or why Draco hadn’t come straight home, you collapsed onto your bed and let sleep take you.
-
Astoria was perceptive, but she didn’t need to be to see your obvious affection for each other. You were talking to each other animatedly on the sofa, bodies fully turned towards each other, you couldn’t get enough of each other’s presence. Draco hung onto every word you said the same way your eyes were glued to his. She wasn’t the only one to notice this, she didn’t miss the excited glances that Draco’s roommates gave each other whenever they saw Draco and you acting this way. She put down the bowl she was stirring.
“Draco can you give me a hand with dinner?” She called out from the kitchen, she didn’t miss how he lingered next to you. Obviously not wanting to leave your side, and she didn’t miss the way your hand slipped off his arm, where it had previously been. She turned away from the sight, wiping angrily at the tears welling in her eyes.
“What’s up.” He said.
“Uh.” Astoria paused. “Can you finish up dinner, I’m not feeling well.”
“Oh yeah totally.” He said. “Don’t worry about it, you were so kind for offering to make dinner for us in the first place.”
“Rain check?” Astoria asked. “Sure.” He said leading her out the door. “Want me to walk you to your car?”
“No need.” A part of Astoria thought he would notice the tone in her voice and ask her what was wrong but he didn’t, he shut the door behind her and she heard his quickly retreating steps, most likely eager to get back to you.
-
Ginny and you laid on your bed while your nail polish dried, you were reading a magazine while she stared you down.
“What do you want to say to me Ginny.” You sighed putting down the magazine. You had known Ginny long enough to pick up on her tells, not that she was discrete with them.
“It’s not what I want to say to you.” Ginny said. “It’s what you want to say to me.”
“Okay.” You paused. “What is it you want me to say.” “When we’re you going to tell me about you having a crush on Draco!” She whisper yelled. “Do you have your memories back?”
Your face burnt bright red. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“Why are you lying to me right now,” Ginny said. “I’m not going to tell him.” “I don’t have my memories back.” You said laying back down and covering your face with your hands. “And maybe I do like him, but he doesn’t like me! He’s dating Astoria, plus he’s only interested in me if I have my memories.” Ginny blinked at you. “Are you fucking blind. Even Astoria can see that he likes you.” “No, he doesn’t!” You said. “I’m the one that pushed him away remember?”
Ginny groaned in frustration. “I hate you so much.”
“Why do you choose to make your life more difficult than it has to be!”
“I am not making my life more difficult.” You argued. “I’m saving myself from humiliation.”
“He is in love with you!” Ginny said, You shook her head and picked your magazine back up. “I don’t want to talk about this.”
“Then when will we?” Ginny said. “When he really does stop loving you because of Astoria?”
She walked out of your room slamming the door behind her.
-
Groceries in hand you dug through your pockets for the keys to the flat. You stopped in your tracks when you saw Astoria, she was standing on your doormat waiting for a response but she started walking towards you when she saw you.
“Hi, Astoria.” You said. “I don’t think Draco’s home right now.” “I’m here to talk to you, not with Draco.” She said.
“Oh.” You paused, “Let me just put this stuff away and we can talk.”
She nodded walking into the flat and sitting down on the sofa after you opened it.
“What’s up.” You said, taking a seat next to her.
“I need you to leave Draco alone.” She said, not looking you in the eye.
“What?” You said incredulously
“He told me what happened with the two of you.” Astoria said.
“What-” She interrupted you. “You cut it off with him. So please let him move on.”
“Astoria, he’s my friend.” You said, “I’m not trying to seduce him or anything.”
“ I love him,” Astoria said. “Do you know how hard it is to find someone when you don’t have a soulmate? It’s impossible, but I found Draco.”
You were silent. He was never her’s to find. You weren’t dead, he would still hear your voice every year. Did she not know that? You so wanted to drag her by her perfect hair. Who was she to tell you what to do?
“So, please. Let him go.” Astoria pleaded.
“What exactly is it that you want him to do.”
“Just leave him alone.” She snapped, then regained her composure. “By stringing him along, you’re ruining his life. You’re never getting your memories back, get used to the idea.”
Your eyes unfocused out of anger.
“Get out of my house.” You said. She looked at you and opened her mouth but quickly closed it and stormed out. You slammed the door behind her, turning on your heel towards your room. You couldn’t believe her audacity. You laid on your bed trying to compose yourself while staring up at your ceiling.
What would Draco say if you told him she had confronted you like that? Surely, he’d be on your side.
You turned to your others side. But Astoria was right, you did turn him down. And you aren’t getting your memories back. Even if he were to start ‘liking’ you again that wouldn’t change.
-
You felt lonely, Ginny was too upset with you to talk to you and you were trying not to talk to Draco. Even though you truly hated Astoria, she was right. Your crush on Draco would only mess with both of your lives. You weren’t speaking to the two most important people in your life. You couldn’t find a reason to get out of bed, so you didn’t.
You heard soft knocks at your door. “I’m letting myself in.” Ginny said. She took in your room and tried to ignore the mess before making her way to you. “I’m so sorry if I went too far. You’re my bestfriend. I’m sorry.”
“It’s fine Ginny.”
“Then what’s wrong with you.” She said. “You’re not treating yourself right.”
You stayed silent. “I don’t want to talk about it.”
“Y/n please.” Ginny said quietly running her fingers through your hair. “We’re so worried about you.”
“I’m fine.” You said turning away from her.
“Is this about Draco?” GInny said, she had only seen you like this once before.
You couldn’t help the way the sobs racked your body. “Merlin, I just love him so much.”
“Oh sweetheart.” She climbed into bed with you, hugging you tight as you cried.
“I just don’t want to keep hurting him.”
“I know.” Ginny said pressing kisses to your forehead. “But do you honestly think Draco would be anything but happy to hear you love him?”
“I don’t want to risk it.”
“Just fucking being in the same space as him makes me happy,” You said. “I don’t want to make him want to leave.”
“Haven’t you seen how close him and Ron are?” Ginny said. “He could hate you and he’d put that aside to live with his bestie.”
You laughed at that,
“You’re my best friend.”
“I know.”
“I love you Ginny.” “I love you too.” She said. “So please get yourself together and go get your man.”
-
It took you three days to work up the nerve to talk to him.
You stared at yourself in the mirror, your makeup was done but not to the point it would be too obvious, and your hair looked slightly cuter than usual.
“Get yourself together.” You told yourself, you stood up from your vanity with determination.
A knock sounded through your room, it was probably Ginny asking you when you were planning on making the move.
“I’m coming.” You groaned. You swung your door open expecting Ginny but were met with Draco.
“Draco.” You said curtly, “Sorry, I thought you were Ginny.”
“Are you going somewhere?” He asked,
“What?”
“You did your makeup, and your hair.”
There goes being subtle.
“Oh- uh-no.” You said.
He nodded, stuffing his hands into his pockets. You would’ve picked up on his weird behavior if it wasn’t for your nerves.
He opened his mouth to say something but you quickly interjected. “I need to tell you something.”
He opened his mouth again but you interrupted. “Sorry no interruptions, I need to get this out or I’m never going to say it.”
You sighed and he watched you curiously not saying a word. “I love you.” You said. “And no I don’t have my memories back, and I don’t know if they’re ever going to come back.” You choke back tears and Draco hasn’t moved an inch. You so desperately hoped he’d shut you up by telling you he loved you but you continued. “And I don’t need them to come back, because I’ve met you again. I’ve fallen in love with you again, and I know you have Astoria, I know that. But I feel like you should know that I love you because what’s more soulmatey than me falling in love with you twice.” You bit your lip, not looking him in the face as you took a deep breath before continuing. “I’m you’re soulmate Draco, I know it in my heart. I know that sounds so incredibly cheesy but I do, I see you and I can’t breathe because I love you so much. Every moment I’m not with you I’m thinking about you. I don’t need my memories to know that my feelings for you haven’t changed.”
There was a quiet pause. “You can talk now.” You said.
“I broke up with Astoria.” He said.
 “When?”
“Just now, I just came from seeing her.”
“Why?”
“Because Y/n. I love you too. I never needed you to get your memories back. You’re not the same person I first fell in love with but it doesn’t fucking matter because I’m still irrevocably in love with you y/n. I never fucking stopped.”
Your heart nearly exploded. You were frozen for a second, but only for a second. You were overcome with the urge to touch him. You all but launched yourself at him which he eagerly accepted. His lips caught yours and his hands went to your waist pulling your body to his. You had unwillingly caught Draco and Astoria kissing a few times, and everytime you couldn’t help but get angry. You had felt a possesiveness, he wasn’t hers for her to be touching like that. You let that feeling control you. Things were how they were supposed to be now. Your hands went to his chest and you couldn’t help but pull at his collar. You wanted it off, you wanted to feel his skin on yours. His kisses moved down to your neck, too focused on you.
“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted this for.” You said lustfully.
He laughed, stopping the kisses. He took your face in his hands, smirking at you. “You have no idea.” His eyes were dark and his voice was low and raspy. You could fuck him right there in the hallway.
“Let’s take this inside, yeah?” You whispered in his ear. Pulling him into your room behind you
-
“I don’t get why you need to move out.” Ginny groaned as you pushed another box out of your room.
“I’m sorry Ginny, I promise you it wasn’t an easy decision to make.” You said.
“Is Draco forcing you to move? You know just because you’re back together doesn’t mean he’s the boss of you.”
“I know that Ginny, it was a mutual decision.” You said putting down the box to look at her. You loved living with your friends you really did, and you loved seeing how much they loved Draco. Although they would deny it entirely, by your friends living alongside of you they were nursing you back to health. You wouldn’t have made it without them, and now you were better. You wanted to prove to yourself that you would be okay without them as your crutch. Besides you knew that you would see them almost everyday anyways. Not that you would be completely independent, you would have Draco.
You were finally where your life was supposed to be.
“We’ll still talk everyday.” You reassured her, pulling her into a hug.
“Treat her right Draco.” Ginny said. “Or you’ll have to deal with me.”
“I wouldn’t dream of it.”
-
You bound up, sitting up in your bed. You had an unsettling dream, but it wasn’t a bad one in fact it was a pretty happy dream. Draco was there, but he was significantly younger and you two were arguing but you could tell neither of you meant what you were saying, and you were in Hogwarts and remembering Hogwarts had began to stop hurting.
It was a nice dream. Your grogginess immediately went away and you shook Draco awake.
“What’s the matter, what’s wrong.” Draco said pushing himself up to look at your face.
He just saw you staring at him with a big grin and tears streaming down your face.
“Y/n, what happened are you okay?”
“Draco,” You said choking on your sobs and throwing yourself at him.
He was still taking in what was happening when it seemed to click. He held you tight. “You have your memories back.” You didn’t say a word just feverishly nodding as you pressed yourself closer to him.
“I’m so sorry for everything you had to go through.” You said pressing a kiss to his cheek. He nodded and began to cry too.
“I’d go through it all again a million times over if it’s what it took to be with you.”

After three months of hard work and many nights at the tone studio, your new single, 'Yellow', is finally done.
Usually, you wouldn't need that much time for one song, but this one has a special place in your heart. It's about your boyfriend, Pablo. You have been together for two years now, and your love for him has only grown.
Pablo does anything for you. Nothing is too complicated or too expensive for him. As long as you're happy, he's happy.
You wanted to give something back to him, something that shows your love and appreciation for him. Finding the perfect present or gesture was difficult. You searched for weeks until you stumbled over an old picture of you two.
The story behind it inspired you to write something that came deep from your heart.
-----------------------
Currently you are sitting in your studio waiting for Pablo to come by. He had training today, but you wanted to let him hear it first, before publishing it.
You always ask him to listen to your songs before everybody else. So he didn't think about it that much when he knocked on your studio door.
"Amor, I'm here!"
Standing up from your seat, you rush to the door to open it, immediately falling into his arms.
"HELLO, I'm so glad you're here. Come in, come in, come in!"
Laughing at your excitement, he let you drag himself into your studio. After you sat him down in one of the chairs, you felt his hands grabbing your waist, pulling you into him.
"What got you so excited, cariño?"
You blushed at his question, hiding your face in his neck. You were nervous about his reaction. You shouldn't be. That boy loves you with his whole heart, but you still feel butterflies in your stomach.
"Nothing, just excited to show you my song."
"Well then, let me hear it."
Taking a deep breath, you loosen yourself out of Pablo's embrace and go to your equipment. You look back at him before you press play, and the sound of guitars fills the room.
-Look at the stars,
Look how they shine for you,
And everything you do
Yeah, they were all yellow
...
------------------------
Flashback
You and Pablo confessed your feelings for each other at Pablo's 17th Birthday party. After everybody left, and it was only the two of you, you sneaked out and climbed on top of his parents' garage.
The garage had a flat roof, so you could lay there and watch the stars at night. It was something special between you two, climbing up here and watching the stars together.
You first found him there after a fight with his parents, hugging his knees and sobbing into them. You stayed with him and comforted him until it was dark and the stars lightened up the sky.
So, of course, after his party, you were sneaking up there after his parents went to bed. Cuddled up under a big blanket.
"I want to give you my last birthday present."
"Oh, you still have a gift? You already gave me so much."
"I know, but I wanted to give you something special between us. Close your eyes."
Taking a deep breath, you look at his features in the moonlight and how his lashes touch his rosy cheeks. You grab his cheek with a feather-light touch and brush your lips against his.
You thought he would turn away immediately, but he grabbed your cheeks and deepened the kiss after a few seconds.
Having to stop because your lungs started to burn from the lack of air, you look at each other with bright red cheeks and pure love and adoration in your eyes.
Giggling shyly, you cuddle yourself deeper into him, hiding your face in his neck.
"I really, really like you Pabs. Like so much." You whisper into his neck.
"You have no idea how happy I am right now! I really like you too!" You feel his arms tightening around you and his lips kissing your head.
Unbeknownst to you, his parents were watching the whole scene in awe. His Mum, taking a photo of you two with her old Polaroid camera, snuggled together, watching the stars.
The next morning, you found the picture on Pablo's bedside table. And since that day, it's always with you.
Flashback end
The song comes to an end the whole time you haven't dared to look at him, scared of his reaction.
Now, you slowly turn around, seeing your boy sitting there completely frozen, mouth agape, tears streaming down his face.
"Oh, Amor, don't cry. You're making me cry too."
Rushing out of your seat, you crash into his arms, holding each other tight. You dry his tears by kissing them away, each and every one of them.
Sniffing, Pablo looks down at you, kissing your lips as passionately as he can.
"I love you so much, Amor. I hope it lasts forever."
"I know it will"
-And you know, you know I love you so
You know I love you so

29th & 30th Oct || 99 - 100 days of 150dop
I have reached day 100! My initial DOP goal has been met!! Yay! Now I have 50 days of productivity (and 30working days of university) left! It's so daunting that I'm close to the finish line I'm so nervous and excited and everything in between !!!!!
My next (final) semester of uni is allocated for internships- and when I asked my final project guide for advice, she told me about this one lab focusing on Computational Systems Biology. I've spent the past couple days researching about them now- their projects, members, published papers, etc etc. Lucky for me, they do some of the coolest work and it's exactly what I'm interested in! And yesterday I finally managed to gather the courage (emails are so intimidating 😣😣) and bits and pieces of my scant academic vernacular and ended up emailing the PI about potential internship opportunities. The task took so much of my mental energy that I spent the rest of the evening tired and unproductive.
However, it was all worth it when I opened my email on the way back from Uni today and noticed that the PI emailed back!! He agreed to have a call to discuss my interests and whether I'd be a good fit for his lab. The interview is on Thursday!! I'm excited nervous freaking out!! I've started looking deeper into his work and brushing up my basics as well so I can leave a good impression, let's see how it goes.
Other than that, my friends and I hung out at a cafe today after class, it was a fun time <3 I also got spotify premium with my friends xD
hope you guys are having a good day!

oh have I missed the chance for prompts??? I hope not. Ummmm let’s see. How about your choice of the lads going to one of the below places:
* sushi conveyor belt restaurant
* way overpriced boozy brunch
* garden seating at a pub, on a hot summer night
so, as we've already discussed, i low-key want to do ALL of these and as such have screenshotted this to return to some of them. but this one is, in a roundabout way, garden seating at a pub on a hot summer (june) night. in new york! finally!
it's also 2.3k word again (just fuck my life, honestly) and it's getting back together fic. i'm sorry. this is who i am. i hope you like it!!
It’s a beautiful night, the stickiness of the summer day having faded a bit with the sun, just gone down an hour or so ago. There are lovely, multicolored paper lanterns filled with magical light strung up above, crisscrossing the width of the garden area, scattering it in purposeful rainbow. The low, cheerful din of glasses clinking against the wooden tables and excited chatter washes over the space.
There is a nice breeze, one Draco has been told means he should be grateful this is late June in New York and not August, where breezes flee. It’s still hot, unexpectedly so; he is very aware of wearing long sleeves and concedes his agent was probably right about that. He just didn’t want—people here like to ask about his tattoo when back home they know better, or worse, really. He doesn’t want to talk about that.
He finishes his drink trying not to even think about it, drumming his fingers against his own wooden table and shaking his head when a waitress asks him if he wants a refill. Carlo, his agent, gives him an unimpressed look and says, “If we’re going to wait to start, you might as well have another drink to calm your nerves.”
“I’m not nervous,” Draco says automatically, and Carlo snorts.
“Sure. Look, if that’s the case, we might as well—”
“Just a few more minutes; they’ll be here,” Draco cuts in quickly, and now Carlo sighs.
“A few more minutes, all right. But if we wait any longer the people who want to be here will actually just leave, and then we’ll have booked all this for nothing.”
Draco nods distractedly, already looking away and glancing out over the other tables without trying to be too obvious about it or catch anyone’s eye. He still has to nod at people—people he can’t really believe exist, people excited to see him read to them, people who have read his book with their actual eyes and liked it and bought it and maybe told their friends to buy it. They have it with them, holding it in their hands. It’s startling every time he thinks about it. It still seems like a trick, like someone is going to jump out from somewhere and say “Got you!”
This is the first reading he’s doing in person, ever. He’d done a successful launch party in London, had done something of a press round, even—terrifying, the whole time, even as it all went well. He’d read from his book on the wireless, he’d chatted with a few people who walked up to him in Diagon Alley, bewilderingly, happily. He likes to talk about his book.
But now Draco’s half a world away from all that, because apparently his book is selling really well in the States, better even than back home, and the international affiliate of his publisher wanted him to do a book tour to support the second printing, which means conferences and events and more press and—
And a reading, to strangers, in a beautiful garden area behind a large, apparently historic pub in the magical area nestled between the West Village and Greenwich Village. The sounds and lights of the city around them are muffled, muted, like the world has narrowed down only to this.
It’s a long way to go, for him and for all of the people Draco had rather desperately invited—all of his friends, who had had to break their promises to come one by one as family and job issues waylaid them.
Even his extended friends, the kind he only sees at rare and rarer pub nights every few months or at weddings or funerals or—he’d given out invitations to them, too, had offered to arrange Portkeys and stays in New York even once the book tour takes him elsewhere.
A few had said they’d try to come, but as the people he’s closer to had cancelled—Pansy, histrionically heartbroken about it, Blaise playing it so cool it was clear he truly was upset, Greg and Millie and Daphne and Theo and all of them full of regrets and work and kids and things that Draco didn’t have to keep him from doing something mad like traveling around the world for a stupid little book—Draco had resigned himself to the fact that they wouldn’t come either. Why would Hermione Granger or Neville Longbottom go out of their way for someone they see once every few months now, ever since—when the people he sees at least twice a week on average couldn’t make it?
Draco had even invited—he was desperate—and he knew he wouldn’t come because they were over, of course, any obligation to come to things like this had ceased when all that had ended, so there was no way—but just in case—
He'd told himself that was all okay because his parents had promised. They don’t understand any of it, of course—Father thinks it’s a silly hobby gone a bit too far, and perhaps it had started that way, a diversion from the drudgery of managing the Malfoy estate, but now it’s all this, it’s Draco’s life that he doesn’t get—but they had said they’d be here to support him. They have no jobs, he is their family, they can arrange international Portkeys in their sleep—there’s no reason for them not to come. He’s certain they’ll be here.
Draco cranes his neck, searching the tables for any telltale blond hair he’s missed, eyes flicking to the back entrance to the pub where he’s sure they’ll emerge at any moment. Maybe they missed their Portkey and had to reschedule. Maybe there was a delay at the terminal. Maybe they decided to sleep off the time difference at their hotel and didn’t set a wakeup Floo. Maybe—
“Draco,” Carlo says, very gentle, but not patient. “We’ve got to start. I’m sorry, but I don’t think they’re coming.”
Draco shakes his head, even as the truth of that settles in the pit of his stomach like a sinking stone. He swallows past a lump in his throat, wishing he did have a new drink so his hands could be damp with cool condensation instead of clammy, anxious sweat.
He is not nervous. “You can do this,” Carlo tells him. “Just keep an eye on me; I’m here.” Draco likes talking about his book. He likes being around people, chatting with them—it’s just reading, his own words, he practically knows them by heart, they’re etched into his skin far deeper than the Mark, scratched over his heart—
But he really, really wanted his parents to come. He truly thought they would.
“All right,” Draco says finally, still shaking his head but forcing himself to come to terms. He talks himself into it as he stands up, rationalizing—it was definitely the time difference. They’re napping; Mother will wake up horrified, and they’ll get late drinks and perhaps midnight room service and laugh about it later.
That’s how he gets himself to the edge of the garden under the brightest lights, standing at a Levitating podium that settles to the ground once he reaches it. It’s hotter here, under the lights; he wants to rip his sleeves off and use them to dab at his sweaty temples. He has to take deep breaths.
Draco looks out over the crowd, their eager faces, and tries to focus on Carlo—but his face is too soft, too close to pity. He tries to look at nothing instead, knows soon he’ll be reading anyway so it doesn’t matter, he doesn’t have to look at the fact that his parents aren’t here. But first he has to talk a little, introduce himself, thank people for coming, all of these people who don’t even know him, didn’t raise him, still showed up because they liked his work that much when his parents haven’t even read—
“Hello,” Draco makes himself say, a small huff of a laugh, as charming a grin as he can muster. For a moment, that’s all he can muster; his throat is tightening, his sleeves feel like they’re getting smaller. He doesn’t think it’s possible to be strangled at your wrists, but perhaps they’re cutting off the circulation there, constricting his blood flow enough to explain why breathing is so treacherous. “I—I’m so glad you’re all here. I’m so glad that I’m here.”
More words, successful. Words are his thing, Draco reminds himself. He can do this. “And I’m—I’m grateful, really. Impossibly so. It’s really—this month, in this place, and I’m barely starting to understand how much it means to everyone because all I’ve known, all I’ve put into this book, is what it means to me—what it means to be like us, or so I assume, in what feels like a very small world, and—” He breaks off, making slightly panicked eye contact with Carlo—who taps the rainbow pin on his lapel and gives him a thumbs up, encouraging, he can do this.
Draco manages to open his mouth again, but all that emerges is a puff of slightly distressed air. And that’s when movement from the back entrance distracts him thoroughly, gratefully, another place to fix his gaze—which widens, steals more breath.
Rushing through the doorway, knocking into a slotted wooden chair and swearing, is Harry. He’s got Draco’s book wedged under his armpit, he’s whispering apologies to people he bumps into; he drags a chair out from a table with a bunch of strangers, apologizing to them and then hurriedly turning to face Draco with a slightly sweaty, flustered face.
Harry grins when Draco catches his eye. His glasses reflect the rainbow lights a little, and he looks a mess in the loveliest, most familiar way. He’s practically vibrating in his seat, excited, maybe nervous, too, and he’s—here. He’d gotten the invitation Draco sent in desperation, the note he’d scrawled I’m sure you’re busy with work, and I know we don’t really see much of each other anymore, and it’s a long way to go, but if you want to, if you have any interest, it would mean a lot be nice of you and nice to see you—and he’d Portkeyed halfway across the world and he’s here, somehow, bewilderingly, happily.
And suddenly all of Draco’s words are right there, easy, ready to be plucked up and tossed out with every confidence at where they’ll land. It’s a familiar feeling, a specific kind of confidence he’d thought entirely out of reach once he and Harry broke up and descended into the awkward, not-quite friends they’ve been since. Harry is here, and he cares for him, at least enough to show up for him, and Draco can do this because Harry clearly believes he can. It must not have even been a question in his mind, for him to come all this way.
“I’m so grateful we’re all here together,” Draco says. He touches his own pin, looks around, keeps talking. “Being together like this in a small world—it makes it feel much bigger.”
He goes on; he reads. He chokes himself a little but only for good reasons, looking up and seeing people listening, their eyes shining, laughing at the best of moments. He looks into Harry’s eyes, grins back at him, softens it when he catches Harry swiping his fingers behind his glasses as subtly as possible.
After, Draco gets another drink and sits at various tables, signing books, chatting happily. He gravitates towards Harry, who has his own drink and seems to be waiting, but when they near each other Harry whispers, “No, you can keep—I’ll wait for you, Draco, it’s all right.”
“Thank you,” Draco whispers back, hoping Harry knows how much he means it.
And there’s every opportunity to tell him as the crowd thins and the pub staff comes out to start stacking chairs and taking down the lights. Carlo leaves after hugging Draco and telling him how brilliant he’d been, telling him to get excited about doing this again two nights from now in Boston. And then there’s Harry, here, waiting.
“I’m sorry I was late,” Harry says once Draco joins him in the only other unstacked chair. The lights are all gone now, the pub staff telling them they can hang out while they finish closing up inside, the only light streaming from that backdoor. “And that I didn’t, um, tell you I was coming. I was just so—I’d heard about it, of course, but I didn’t know if you’d want me here really, I thought maybe you were just—”
“I wanted you here,” Draco says, realizing he was desperate but not in just the way he’d imagined. “I—I am so happy you came.”
“Me too,” Harry says, and then he laughs a little. “Even though I can barely see you.” He taps his wand a few times and shoots brilliantly bright, multicolored sparks out of it; they rise up to form a glowing, rainbow swirl of light above them, like all the lanterns have cracked open and spilled above them.
It’s beautiful, and Harry looks beautiful beneath it, the colors splayed across his skin as he puts his wand down, reaches out, and takes Draco’s hands. “Better,” Harry says, and then: “I’m so fucking proud of you, Draco.”
Relief, rushing and sweets, hits Draco so fast that it’s all he can feel for a moment. Gone is the disappointment, nerves, dread—all of it falls away. He can do this, he thinks; he did it.
“Do you want to—I mean, you came all this way, and this place is closing but I’m sure there are others we could—maybe food? And we could—I’d love to just—” His words are gone again but now it’s because it feels like there’s too many, that there’s so much he wants to say to Harry and it’s all got to come out quickly because “—and I’m going to Boston very soon, I’m sorry, but maybe—”
“Never been to Boston,” Harry says, smiling so fondly. He squeezes Draco’s hands.

Her Tortured Soul, Part One
Tumblr media
↳ Her Tortured Soul, Thranduil x Reader, Elrond x Reader ( I guess) Warnings: kinda angsty, implies cheating Word Count: 1.3k A/N: It's been months since I've written anything. Today, out of the blue, I wanted to write. So I did. I got so excited about it, that I'm now posting without much editing and proofreading. I just want to publish it because I'm proud of having written something. Even if it is short and angsty. Even if it implies morally questionable themes. Even if I have projected myself into the story. I don't care. I wrote today and I am proud, even if I am nervous now to share. Enjoy! Imagine having chosen Elrond when you should have chosen Thranduil.
Tumblr media
The soft beating of his heart threatened to lull you to sleep, the rhythmic heaving and falling of his chest concurrent with his warm palm that slowly moved up and down your back where light fingers brushed against the soft fabric of your robes.
“It is nearly time,” his whispered words made you wince. How could a voice so divine and pure be capable of sending such daggers of ice to pierce your already aching heart.
“I don’t want to,” your protest was made in vain; you knew better than to hope and dream that your comings and goings could ever be steered and controlled by the sheer will of your soul.
“Yet you must,” Thranduil’s voice lacked the grief and sorrow you had expected to hear at the near hour of your inevitable departure. It was better that way.
“There is nothing for me there,” you clung to his robes with all the frail and desperate might your trembling fingers could muster.
“There is nothing for you here either, not yet in any case,” he murmured into your hair.
He was right. How was it that he was always right?
“Only because you have made it so,” you objected nonetheless, foolishly daring to hope that this time, finally, he would change his mind.
He wouldn’t.
“I’m afraid it was your selfless heart that was the grand architect of your current predicament, my love,” Thranduil reminded you quietly before you felt him move, the feeling of his soft lips on your throbbing temple bringing you agonizing relief.
Selfless. It used to mean something to you. Now it made you laugh in bittersweet regret.
“Is there ever going to be a way?”
His lack of response was the dreaded answer to your silly question. You had known it long ago; you had feared as much when you had accepted his proposal and promised to love him and honor him.
Where was your honor now while cuddled in another’s arms, desire eating away at your once selfless being, slowly tainting it darker and making it easier to lust after that which was forbidden. You had allowed your heart to run wild and reckless for too long, now it was near impossible to cage it again and expect reason and loyalty.
“And what of your heart, my lord?” another meaningless question escaped your lips when you knew its answer and how unfair it was of you to remind him of his regret and shame.
“You should know by now where my heart lies,” Thranduil gave his reply, yet it wasn’t enough to justify your selfish habit.
“I need to hear you say it,” you pressed on. For what purpose, only the wise and the poetic could say.
“My heart has always been yours to do with as you pleased,” he whispered after a while, his voice taking on a much graver note.
His heart hadn’t been lightly given, yet you had accepted it with open arms and promises of love, only to trample over it on your way to righteousness with wanting to do what was right and noble.
How wrong you had been, the horror of it would never cease to torment you, regardless of how this impossible situation would eventually be solved.
There would be pain. Only question that remained was who the wretched soul would be, left outside alone and cold, open to be devoured by loneliness and anguish. You could go about it however you wished, despite of your endless seeking, there was no nobility in the choice that was laid before you. Only pain.
“He probably all but suspects already,” you suggested.
You felt Thranduil shake his head slowly.
“He loves you too much to ever be able to entertain such a notion. His love for you has always blinded him to reason. Else he never would have married you; he would have seen you weren’t his to wed. Or love.”
True as they were, his words pained you nonetheless.
You moved your tired and slowly fading body to face the elf you loved above all else. Above yourself, above your husband, above life and death, above honor and duty, and loyalty. Your hands went to cradle his mournful face in your soft palms, while your lips found his in yet another longing kiss that somehow ended up bringing more torment than comfort.
Quick to respond to your affections, his arms moved to embrace you, his hands clawing at your back, desperate to pull you closer, to feel more of you and claim that which he had longed for in his hours of miserable solitude. Even his kiss grew deeper and hungrier, more demanding as it threatened to finally take what he had considered his and been robbed of in the cruelest of all manners.
Unable to resist that which had always felt so right, you leaned your head against his shoulder and submitted your being to his fiery kisses, travelling now down the length of your neck where they left a path of unchecked want and need in their wake.
A quiet and quivering moan slipped past your lips as he continued to suck and nibble on the sensitive skin of your neck, allowing you to slip further away from your responsibilities and restrictions, giving yourself over to the same desires that had ruled your heart and flesh for decades before you had chosen to give in and abandon your virtues.
Only he wouldn’t go any further. Just as his kisses had ignited the fire in your loins, his words managed to extinguish it with a single uttered sentence.
“You need to be going,” his words were more of a breathless plea than order, yet all the same you knew you had to comply.
“I cannot bring myself to leave you,” you whispered as the cold sense of your cruel reality once again had made itself known.
“You must,” Thranduil reminded you as he moved to lift you off his lap where you had been cuddled underneath his velvet robes, away from the life you had so mistakenly chosen for yourself.
“Will I see you tomorrow?” your question was filled with hope, more so with devastating need.
His eyes never left you while you smoothed out your silken robes, a habit you had developed in hopes of tidying up the utter mess your heart had made, a gesture that was completely useless. Your husband wouldn’t have known even if you had gone back in all your nakedness and bearing the marks of your treacherous soul.
“Thranduil?”
His lips quivered but no words were uttered. Uncertainty gripped your heart at the lack of response, of that promise you needed to hear, night after night when both your hearts would break upon your departure.
“I cannot leave without knowing you’ll be here,” you begged him, your voice sounding every bit of the shameless fear that you carried deep within you.
A weak smile appeared on his lips at last and he gave a short nod, but no promise. Not tonight. You would have to content yourself with hope.
Before you could press him for more, to demand that promise that you knew you had no right to ask for, he was gone and there was darkness before you opened your eyes to the early morning sun and the sound of chirping birds.
Once again, like every other morning before, you fought with all that you had to keep your tears at bay and keep your breathing even. You would not bring further shame unto your husband by submitting him to your selfish tears. He would proceed to comfort you, to soothe the ache within your soul and bring you peaceful relief when you deserved none. So, you kept quiet and still as best you could while your heart broke and your insides burned and froze at the same time, while shame brought down its wrath and forced you to despise yourself.
“Good morning, my love,” his loving voice greeted you before his lips found your cheek.
A well-rehearsed smile bloomed upon your features while your eyes remained closed, lest they gave away your longing and pain.
A settling breath, a count to three and a promise to right your wrongs, and you opened your eyes to gaze upon your beloved husband Elrond.
The countdown to midnight was reset and started anew.

A headcanon with Suho, how he will announce to exols he’s gonna be a father
Thanks
Tumblr media
a/n: i can't wait for junmyeon to be a father, really 😭
junmyeon isn't someone to give spoilers, but i think he will, in this case
he will send messages on bubble like
"i have great news to share tomorrow"
"comeback? no no, it's not that"
"it doesn't involve exo"
"actually... it kinda does..."
junmyeon is so, so nervous
he absolutely knows his exo-l loves him, but still
jongdae suffered such a huge backlash, i'm sure it scares them to come public with certain things now
but even though he's scared, junmyeon feels like we are part of his life just as much as he's part of ours
so, the next morning, he publishes a handwritten letter on instagram, weverse, and every other communication channel
and it reads
"dear exo-l,
we've been together for such a long time, always making memories and celebrating each other. i mean it every single time i say that we are one, and i know you do it too. today, i come to share some good news with you.
i've met someone some time ago, and we've been happily living together for the last three years. last month, we received the news that our journey will now count with a little one too. i am so, so happy that my dream of being a father will finally come true.
because we are one, i know you'll be happy for me and support this new chapter of my life. i'm excited to have my child with me, tell them everything about my members and my exo-l, let them know they will always have a family wherever they go.
i ask you to please respect me and my partner's privacy for now, and i promise you i'll share more once we're ready.
my exo-l, who has always given me a no ending amount of love, let's continue to love each other and make happy memories in this new part of my life.
we are one forever. let's love. (: ♡
- kim junmyeon"
