Thinking about the MHA boys this morning.

Because you just know that their fans speculate on what they're like in bed, especially high ranking heroes like Midoriya and Bakugou.

But what fan theories are the most widely believed? And how close to the truth do they get?

When he's asked in interviews how he deals with the stress of being a hero, he always says that he relies on his partner and spends time with them.

He's always got a little happy blush on his face, and those moments always get turned into gifs for his fans to squeal about how cute he is.

If only they knew what kind of 'spending time with his partner' he was really thinking about.

Bakugou has one of the horniest fanbases ever.

He's an aggressive, caring, tsundere who keeps his private life as secret as possible, so it was bound to happen.

Countless thirst edits of him exist for fans to drool over and debate what dominant, kinky things they want him to do to them.

Bakugou's fans are also wrong.

Because he's very vanilla. He resents the super dom image his fans and the media sometimes use, because he's not into any of that shit.

Actually A Kind, Considerate Adult To A Stressed and Traumatized Child

Lara- Lara is hands down the best adult in this entire game. She’s kind, understanding, and patient with Clara. She never insults her, and even when Clara is being a bit snooty, she still treats her gently. She also literally has a line where she points out that Clara is a child struggling with an immense burden. She calls attention to the fact that she’s just a kid, which NOBODY ELSE DOES.

“Poor thing, I’m so sorry for you. I wouldn’t want to carry your burden.”

It can kinda be read as pity, but pity is better than the cruelty and ignorance to her situation most of the others give her.

Also she has the one voice like where she’s like, “Poor child, she’s so tired” in reference to Clara.

The Tragedians and Executors- Idk if these guys can count, but they’re here anyway. They’re always so nice to Clara, calling her little pet names and explaining stuff to her in a kind way. They talk to her like how adults talk to young children, which she is. And it’s wild how these bitches beat THE ENTIRETY OF THE WHOLE CAST, minus Lara.

A Good Adult

Oyun- I actually cannot believe this guy is this high.

Surprisingly, he’s actually pretty nice to Clara. If not nice, then very respectful. He treats her like a queen.

Rubin- He’s chill with her 👍 (if i remember correctly)

Yulia- Similar to Rubin, she’s chill toward Clara, minus, I think, one little offhand comment that’s kind of rude. But compared to what some of the bitches below say to her, it may as well be a compliment.

Decent But Has Their Moments

Artemy- So, I feel like Artemy is very neutral toward Clara. There is that part in the Changeling route where he sends her a letter where he threatens to kill her, BUT that only happens if you rat out his location to Daniil, so it’s not a set event that always happens.

He speaks to her very curtly, and you can get the sense that he’s probably annoyed by her presence, but he’s not outwardly verbally abusing her unlike others.

If this were a ranking based on P2 interactions, however, he would be WAY LOWER because jfc, he is SO MEAN to Clara.

Daniil- So, he was actually lower at first, but then I saw some really good posts talking about how he cares for Clara in his own way (giving her money, keeping her in the Stillwater, worrying over her)—even if they are a little unconventional.

However, that doesn’t erase the fact that he is still pretty awful to her at times. I mean, he literally threatens to kill her twice, one of which happened when he first met her.

I love the “Daniil is a reluctant father figure to Clara” so much, but I also don’t think he would be any higher than this.

Also, like Artemy, if this were for interactions in P2, he would absolutely be lower.

Neutral

Olgimsky- I think he and Clara talk exactly two (2) times, and both interactions are short and don’t really do anything for the story (if i remember correctly). Also I don’t think they give af about each other at all.

Bad Grief- Neutral. I could have put him higher, actually. He seemed actually kind of nice.

Eva- Same with Bad Grief. Her interaction with Clara wasn’t hostile at all.

Victor- I’ll be real with y’all- I don’t remember them talking 😭

Not A Good Adult

Maria- She’s my second favorite character in the whole game (just behind Clara ofc), but even I can’t deny how cruel she is to Clara. She is SO MEAN.

Aspity- I actually had no idea where to put her. At first, she was in the “decent” section, but that didn’t seem right. Then she was in “Neutral,” but that didn’t seem right, either. Finally, I just decided to put her here. Because, looking back on their interactions, they were pretty hostile.

I don’t think Aspity liked Clara. A lot of the things she said to Clara were either vaguely threatening or directly threatening.

Anna Angel- She was so rude to Clara in the Haruspex route when Clara came running to her house, crying, on Day 6. Also I remember her making shots at Clara often.

Georgiy- Literally threatened to kill Clara the moment he met her. Enough said.

Mark- I remember this bitch ass being snappy with her. Which is good enough for me.

Vlad Jr.- This dude isn’t necessarily mean, but I do remember him being weirdly fanatical toward Clara. He spoke to her like she wasn’t a child but rather someone to be idolized.

Peter- He also wasn’t rude, but I just felt very uncomfortable every time he talked to her. He didn’t speak to her like a child but rather an adult. And yeah, a lot of people did that, but he was just so creepy to me. He acted like she was a goddess or something. It really rubbed me the wrong way.

Block- This may be a bit of an unpopular opinion, but I just can’t put this guy anywhere but here.

Yes, he was kind to her, but he also idolized her, which is just…Not Very Good. Also he fully tries to bring her to war?? If you say no when he first makes the offer, he literally ignores her and keeps going on about it which is a huge red flag.

Horrible Fucking Person

Andrey- I can’t stand this guy. Y’all don’t understand how deep my hatred for him goes. But this spot isn’t even a biased decision he is, SO CRUEL. The way he screams in Clara’s face when she went to his bar?? And yeah, he’s kinda right in some sense, she isn’t old enough to fully understand what she’s doing, but that is not her fault in any way. The blame should fall upon Katerina for making her run around indoctrinating people, not her. And he shouldn’t have yelled at a little girl, spewing insults at her, because at that point, his argument is meaningless when it directly attacks her.

He’s terrible. I hate him.

What The Fuck Is Wrong With You

Aglaya- Basically every word she spoke to Clara felt like a shotgun blast to the chest and had my jaw on the FLOOR. I was not expecting the sheer disgust and hatred she had toward this child.

As such, I have compiled a short list of some of the things she said to Clara:

1. Calls her a “dim, pathetic creature”

2. Calls her insane and deranged

3. Accuses her of having a split personality disorder and being schizophrenic

4. “Prohibits her from existing”

5. Says she has to leave the town or else she’ll have her executed

The Saburovs- I could go on about how horrible these guys are. Not even just as people, but as parents, too.

They are truly awful people, and they do not deserve Clara.

Okay so Stardiamond is suspicious right. But I do also feel like there's the rage thing, and also like some kind of spell happened and then he got mad. And like before that he was fairly normal. But Stardiamond was up to something according to Lola so idk.

I like Henry and I don't think my guy is up to anything. It's so lovely to see someone encouraging Gorgug and believing in him.

And the barbificer stuff!!!!!! Is so cool!!!!! I'm so proud of him.

Hello Hello! Yes I think I do, I believe it's in his Port Fest vignette? Unfortunately I don't know much about the Port Fest since I'm on the EN server and ended up missing the event when it came out on EN 😭 but I'll try my best from my knowledge! I'll write this as a one shot/drabble ^^

Content/Character(s): Jack Howl, fluff, Jack gains a cute little crush on a waitress.

"Thanks again for offering to help with these boxes Jack! With your muscle we should be done moving these boxes within no time!" Said an older man with a joyous laugh. This man was the owner of a restaurant near the Port. He was currently trying (and failing) to lift some heavy boxes that just arrived inside the restaurant, before Jack came along and offered to help, seeing the older man struggle to carry the shipment in.

Jack scratched his neck sheepishly, a light dust of pink coming to his face. "It's no problem really. You looked like you needed help, so I offered."

"Oh don't be so sheepish boy! If it weren't for your kindness, I'd probably be on the ground with a broken hip, hah!" The man said letting out another laugh as he watching Jack pick up another crate and bring it inside.

Jack sweatdropped at the comment, setting the crate down inside the back of the restaurant where everything was stored. Brushing wood particles off his hands he let out a sigh, "Ah, that should be the last of it."

"Splendid! Oh, before you go, would you mind helping me with one other thing?"

"Huh? Sure, I don't mind. What do you need help with?" Jack asked with a tilt of his head. Helping out some more shouldn't take too much longer, he didn't see any harm.

"Well you see, the Port Fest is coming up soon, and we're quite short on staff. I was wondering if you'd like to help me out with that problem temporarily! You'd be payed for your time of course! And you wouldn't be working long, just an hour or two. What do you say?" Asked the man as he gave Jack a pleading look.

Jack contemplated it, he said they were short on staff? Around this time? That definitely wouldn't be good for the workers, they would be so stressed. And he did have experience working in the Mostro Lounge, albeit only a little. And the look the manager was a giving him wasn't helping either. With a scratch of his head and a loud sigh, Jack caved.

And that's how he ended up here, currently working back and forth from taking orders and seating people. The manager wasn't kidding when he said they were short staffed, there seemed to be only 4 other people working, excluding himself. The restaurant was getting rather crowded. The day of the Port Fest was tomorrow, and some people had come by early to take everything in. Said people also just had to stop by and eat at the restaurant Jack was currently helping at. He sighed to himself, wondering if it was a good idea to take up this job. But seeing how stressed the other staff were, even with his help, cleared away his doubts.

Jack had just come back from taking someone's order and was on the way to the kitchen. However his mind began to be occupied with other mindless thoughts. Unbeknownst to him, he was so distracted he didn't see a little waitress holding a tray of drinks rushing over to some unhappy customers.

The two of them ended up colliding, the drinks spilling everywhere as the waitress fell on her bottom. Jack too a few steps back to balance himself after the collision, eyes wide from surprise.

Said waitress rubbed her side in pain, muttering a few curses to herself. Just great, this was her second time on the job and she has already to make some customers unhappy, run into someone, and spill the order of said unhappy customers all over the floor and herself. She was going to get fired for sure.

Jack knelt down to her level and offered her his hand, "Hey! Are you alright??." He asked her, eyebrows furrowed in worry. He waved someone over to clean up the mess and take care of the customers who just lost there drinks before turning back to the waitress. "Let's go to the staff room and get you cleaned up."

'Do I look alright!?' She thought, taking his hand with a huff as he brought her up from her sitting position.

Jack didn't know why, but he suddenly started to feel queazy. His face seemed to flush lightly at the feeling of her hand being placed in his as he lifted her up and brought her to the staff room. 'Her hand is so small compared to mine...' he thought before shaking his head with a face redder than before.

Once in the staff room, Jack handed her towels and napkins to wipe herself off with, which she thanked him for and used with little progress. "Ugh, my uniform is soaked with sweet tea, I have fruit chunks stuck in my hair, and I smell like a cocktail! This is the worst." She said with frustration, throwing the used napkins away before burrowing her face in her hands.

Jack bit the inside of cheek. She was clearly upset, but he didn't have much experience with comforting people, much less girls. He awkwardly patted her back, "I'm sure it's not the worst, there should be another uniform you can wear."

"No, you don't understand!" She pulled her hands away from her face, teary eyes looking up at Jack, who looked back at her in surprise. "You saw how angry those customers were! It's only my second day on the job and I've already made a mess of myself, I'm going to be fired! And I really need this job!" She cried out.

You felt foolish, here you are looking like mess, crying Infront of some random boy. Could your day get any worse? On second thought, better not jinx it.

Jack started to panic, now she was crying! What was he supposed to do?? He took the time to examine her, she seemed to be around his age, maybe a year older. He'd be lying if he said she wasn't attractive. He felt himself flush again. After a few seconds, Jack finally spoke up. ".. You're not going to be fired." He mumbled out.

You blinked at him in confusion, did he not hear what you just said? All the reasons why you would be fired? "What?"

This time Jack looked at her with determination. "I said you're not going to be fired. I know the owner, he'll understand. I promise. I'll make sure you keep your job, so!...please don't..cry.." He mumbled the last part,but you still heard him.

You stared at him for a few seconds before bursting out laughing, "Hahahaha! You barely even know me, and yet you're determined to help me keep my job? Your something else." You couldn't help but let out another laugh as you smiled at him.

Jack flushed once again, his tail wagging involuntarily. Your laughter sounded melodic to him, your smile was so bright. "..." He decided he was going to keep that smile on your face, he wanted nothing more than see you smile again. "Well of course, I wasn't going to let some pretty girl get fired over a little thing, and you said you needed the job right? I don't know your situation, but I don't mind helping you!"

This time your cheeks dusted a light pink. He thought you were pretty? You grinned at him,"So you think I'm pretty? How bold, I don't even know your name~." You teased him, letting out a little giggle at his surprised and flustered reaction as he tried to explain himself. 'How cute..' you thought to yourself.

A few minutes had passed by at this point, you had managed to get all the fruit chunks out of your hair. Though you still needed to change, your uniform was dry. Albeit a little sticky from the drinks.

"Jack Howl."

You turned to the big wolf, confused. "What?"

"You said you didn't know my name. Well, my name is Jack Howl." Said wolf responded, shyly rubbing the back of his head as his tailed swayed behind him.

You grinned up at him, "It's nice to meet you, Jack. I'm Y/n." Grabbing an extra uniform you turned away from him, waving bye as you went to go change. "Thank you for helping me Jack, I really appreciate it."

Jack waved back before leaving the staff room, a small grin on his face. Y/n huh? The name suited you well.

The rest of his shift had ended before he knew it. Handing the uniform back over to the manager before grabbing his stuff and getting ready to head out. Something caught his eye, a piece of paper seemed to have fallen out of the locker he was using to put his stuff in. It was a little note.

Picking it up Jack looked around to see if anyone had mistakenly put it in his locker. But he saw no one, and reading the front of the note, his name was in it. Confused, Jack opened it up and read the contents.

'Just in case I don't see you again, here's my number, xxx-xxx-xxxx, call or text me sometime!

Jack's tail began to wag behind him, a small dopey smile made its way to his face as he stuffed the note in his pocket and headed out. He really hoped to see you again.

do you have any tips for new writers? you write fast and your fics are pretty damn good so i thought it would be good to ask you!

omg yeah, i can try! here’s a few things that come to mind. this stuff is mainly for writing fanfictions, but i guess it can apply to books as well?

reminder this is just what i suggest, if you think differently that’s okay! every writer is different.

and if anyone has any more suggestions, feel free to either comment and/or reblog with your suggestions.

(also idk what speed has to do with anything but that just comes with practice and motivation 😭)

1.) stop caring and stop worrying. i know this might sound counterintuitive but it's really not when you look deep into it. once you sit down and decide to just have fun is when your best work comes out, at least for me. writing is supposed to be fun, you’re supposed to enjoy it. if you find yourself stressed and dreading writing you’re doing it wrong. remember to take breaks if you need it to refresh yourself. writing is extremely hard, but i believe in you. just try to have fun!

2.) find more ways to come up with ideas. i think most people would agree that prompts are hard and many people don’t know how to come up with them. personally, i use quotes. if you know anything about me, quote fics are my fucking life, man! you can use lyrics from songs, a funny moment that happened in your life, a saying your parent always told you while growing up, literally anything! go wild.

3.) find your unique style. when it comes to writing, everyone has a style just like when it comes to any other art form. i write in a more casual, organic style because that’s what comes naturally to me. don’t try to mimic other’s styles because you think yours isn’t “good enough” or something of the sort. you can take inspiration, but don’t forget to be true to yourself and your own style.

4.) write how you want. piggy backing off the last one, don’t let anyone tell you something is “improper” or whatever. if you think adding a million commas best suits your story, then so be it! i use dashes, ellipses, and semi-colons like my life depends on it. it’s an important part of how i write and that’s that’s okay.

5.) make sure to commit to it. while it is important to not push yourself too hard and to take breaks if you need it, don’t forget to commit to it. try and write everyday. whether it be only a paragraph or the entire story in one go, every little bit helps. it gets you into the groove, basically! i’ve heard some people say that 250 words should be your daily minimum, but personally mine is 100. so it’s whatever works for you.

6.) don’t expect it to be easy. writing is hard, that’s just the case. you are making up your own stories (with already set in characters or not) and coming up with things is hard! it’s going to get confusing at points, it’s going to get frustrating, it’s going to make you want quit sometimes. this will happen especially if you write longer form content.

7.) don’t give up and always believe in yourself. feeding off of the last one, no matter how hard it is, don’t ever give up. take breaks for however long you need, but never give up. you can do this. and if no one else believes in you, believe in yourself. you are what matters.

8.) don’t forget to edit and revise. you don’t exactly need to go over your work once you finish, but it’s a very good practice. if look through it at least once or twice: you’ll find mistakes that you maybe didn’t notice; you’ll notice scenes/sections that you can elongate to better serve the purpose/narrative; you could find things don’t matter and can be removed; and so much more. you don’t need to go crazy over it, but it’s definitely something you should do.

9.) don’t forget/be scared to ask for help. everyone needs help from time to time, even the best authors/writers need guidance from others. ask your friends to help with a scene/part or two if you need it, if they’re willing ask them to edit/beta for you, and so forth. you’ll never get anywhere without the help of others, you can’t do this on your own and that’s okay. you might want to be independent and get there by yourself, but that will be ten times harder than if you just ask for a little bit of help.

10.) write for you and nobody else. i would say this is probably the most important one. don’t worry about what others think, story telling is for you! yes, you might share it with others (directly or by posting it online) but at the end of the day, it’s for your enjoyment and no one else’s. if you want to write an OC and canon character, do it! doesn’t matter if no one cares about your OC other than you. YOU ARE WHAT IS IMPORTANT!!!

Idk if you have the energy to answer this, but what if Earl stayed with Steven from the beginning? Assuming she figures out how to take care of a baby💀💀Would she just have catered to Steven's every whim believing he's White Diamond?

That's a curious little thought exercise!

It would have been quite difficult for her, especially given the fact that as a baby, Steven would 'accidentally' take control of her through their bond in order to fulfil his needs, which, as a baby, are very rudimentary - warmth, food, comfort, etc.

We kinda see this happen in Earl's story in the flashback:

He isn't aware he's doing it, he's not really aware of anything. He wouldn't be able to really TELL her what he needed, so much as force her to do her best. It would have been stressful for both of them, because a baby doesn't know how to GET food, only that they are hungry. And Earl wouldn't have known what food IS, and could not have really provided him with anything edible without ample research (which, again, she couldn't do for multiple reasons).

Weirdly enough, if by some miracle they would have both made it through, I actually think their relationship would have been a lot more complicated, because Steven would have grown up as a sort of wild child, without any reference to humanity, without any reference to human language. He would also probably have even more trouble untangling himself and Earl's intentions, because he would have grown up controlling her basically half the time. Their consciousness would be basically conjoined in a sense.

It's fascinating to think about!

Jalim DBH AU

Jason, a battle bot who's become just a little too conscious about what he's been told do - the woman with the groceries - he doesn't shoot - they flag him down as possibly faulty and then after that they're just looking for any reason to shoot Jason down into a junkyard. Maybe they send him on an op, practically a suicide run for anyone else and damnit its suicide for him too even if he don't completely realize it.

He gets damaged. Not no easy fix, not no little scratch he's - well fuck, he's busted. Some part of him in a near constant short circuit. Fried. It makes him forgetful of what he's done and why he's done it. They don't attenpt to fix him or his memory problem, they dont even wipe it out, they ain't got to. He won't be their problem much longer. They pop his back plate open and slip out his power core. They didn't even have the decency to tell him.

Jason gets discharged. Retired. However they wanna spin it but all the same they boot him to the curb.

They sell him as is. Auctioning him off and if Jason could understand what the hell he was feeling maybe he'd call it relief. Or maybe its betrayal. He doesn't really know yet.

Anyhow, he ends up on Salim's slab. Salim is a tinkerer of sorts, does repairs for a living and Jason seems intriguing. Military models are never really available for the public market and most are just destroyed or are too damaged to take on. Some wealthy folk like to keep fixed up ones as body guards and with any luck the model Salim's just bought will be a bang for his buck.

yada yada yada, that doesnt really happen. The second Jason comes online again with the help of a new power core its like waking from a nightmare and if he were anything alive his hackles would raise, sweat sticking his hair to his forehead and his breath would leave his chest heaving. But he isn't. All the same fight or flight gets activated. He's practically snarling like a wild dog, he's in a unfamiliar layout in a new place with what ought to be a graveyard of android parts.

and Salim really does his best to help - to explain. Which maybe this is weirder on his end cause 'good god this android is actually reacting and oh god am I going to die here? stupid auction'. it's kinda funny from an outside view and also kinda not.

Jason calms down enough and then boom 'nother short circuit. It makes him draw a blank. Forgets what happened in the past 5 to 15 minutes. Salim really didn't anticipate this. How could he? They go through the motions again, introductions, some part of Jason has realized that Salim isn't a threat, so at least this time they're meetings not as hostile.

Salim wants to understand Jason - he's some type of conscious and he's got his issues. they end up as some sorta flatmates. idk maybe we get a whole domestic Jason w memory issues arc. its kinda cute, really sad sometimes because he doesnt understand whats happening to him or why. Just that the very reason for his lifes purpose ain't in his grasp no more. He feels kind of pathetic somedays, becomes more of a homemaker than a soldier. Salim says it isn't bad. it's- it's not.

Maybe he picks up hobbies, starts reading, learning of the world he's missed out on. How the moral ideals of the masses clash with the values that were instilled in him. fucking cable TV. its kinda funny, kinda not.

Salim fixes him up. The memories come back in nightmares while he's booted down. Memory files drawn to the front of his mind all corrupted. It takes a long while for Jason to be alright. Salim worrys, notices him - of all things - stress baking. Jason talks about Nana Kolchek and her recipies and they both know she don't really exist. That it's part of the program they built into Jason to help him seem more human, more relatable to other soldiers. They don't talk about that aspect of it.

At some point Jason realizes Salim is going to sell him. Or at least intended to when he was bought at the auction. It hits him like a humvee going 80. Has a whole "was any of it ever real?" moment.

Jason has a little crisis and still somehow can't really unconvince himself that it won't happen. So he rips the bandaid off and flat out asks. Salim looks at him with that kind of expression people save for kicked puppies and the like. Some type of emotion in his eyes that Jason just doesn't know how to understand. It's too much. Jason looks away with a frown.

Salim pulls his hand into Jason's and squeezes once, cold metal against warm skin. Salim isn't selling Jason.

Heart to Heart.

Eventually Jason meets Zain. Zain looks at him quizzically, like he's just tryna wrap his head around something and he just dont quite get it. Zain says that his dad talks about him a lot, that he seems happier, less lonely, gives Jason the shovel talk. The works. Which Jason thinks is bizzare because he isn't even romantically involved with Salim.

and then he thinks,

He might be.

Right then and there, it dawns on Jason that, yes, they've been practically dating for a long while now. He cooks, cleans, asks Salim about his day, nags when he leaves his shoes crowded and piled in the door way, notes his likes and dislikes, holds him when he needs it, takes care of him and vice versa, they hook their legs together underneath the dinner table, they even do that looking into eachothers eyes lovingly thing and he just didn't realize thats what it was.

Zain is delighted with Jason's new found revelation. He helps Jason get flowers and chocolates, even gets a little card, it's real cute.

And Jason for as much as you'd think him as level headed really isn't too good at keeping a cool on it. He's flustered. Hands over the sweets, flowers and card like a kid with his first crush and shit, yeah, in a way yes, thats exactly what this is. a little bit. its kinda funny. kinda. There's even music on in the background because Jason just doesn't know how to miss.

They kiss. Salim tastes like chocolate.

recently saw a tiktok about toji n megumi…and good god. ppl in the comment section were willing to die in the trenches to convince others that toji had at no point sold megumi (which is so easily fact-checked it hurts) and that he was a great father. girl, we did not read or watch the same series. and mind you, this is not coming from anti-toji angle at all.

i don't understand glazing over the turmoil present in the text. it's what makes their father-son relationship so interesting and compelling. the tragedy of it all! how grief and trauma molded their relationship - or actually, lack thereof. and yet, even then, megumi was still toji's last thought as he was dying. the softness in his voice when he said "i'm glad" after coming to the conclusion that gojo had intervened in the toji-naobito agreement and had allowed megumi to stay a fushiguro!

and how delusional do you have to be to claim fushiguro toji is a good father?? bro??? toji loved megumi, sure. but his approach to his son, post his wife's passing, was hands-off: extreme edition. megumi himself says he hasn't seen his father in years and toji asks "who's that" in response to shiu asking about his son. all the "caretaking" choices he made for megumi (like arranging a future sale with the zenin, leaving him with his then partner, mamamiki) resulted in son's well-being and rearing being out of his hands. telling gojo that particular info but leaving it up to him what do with megumi's fate, is another wild example of his claim to absentee father of the century.

and i think it's easy to understand why. it's not out of malice, toji's treatment by his clan left him thinking that he was worthless and also, deeply unstable. all those traits resurfaced again during his grief. so, with an example of childrearing like that, zero positive influences in his own parenting (mamamiki isn't winning any mother of the year awards either. althought, idk if that would have changed anything) this was probably his way of trying to provide megumi w/ a better life by taking his presence out of the equation. the same happens when it comes to the sale. in his head, toji probably believes he is providing better odds for megumi by selling him back to their ancestral clan (even though, i'm sure toji knew he wouldn't be exempt from hardships - the zenin clan's still toxic even if you are an asset).

obviously, there here is also selfishness, lack of motivation, and a whole cocktail of other negative bullshit, in all of that. out of sight, out of mind (so out of mind he forgot to who the name megumi fucking pertained to. and, adding to the cherry on top, HE was the one who named his son). also, i cannot stress this enough,,,,he was going to financially benefit from SELLING his son. which is, and i cannot believe i have to say this so, bad! that, cancels every and any possible good (even if misguided) intention in leaving megumi in the zenin's care! he's a flawed fuck! he's another cog in the great old generational trauma of the zen'in clan! fushiguro toji is objectively not a god person or father! however that's part of what makes him, him. and as a consequence, what makes him such an interesting character. it's why their little father-son (unbeknownst to megumi) moment hits so hard. the baggage has to exist in order for that little moment to hold so much meaning.

in sum, i love all is well au’s as much as the next person, but why reduce such an interesting relationship, when discussing actual canon, to something with so little complexity? why viciously sanitize it? i want to see that energy in fics! in aus! but like. time and place ❤️

I’m in the mood to ramble about personalities so I’m gonna ramble about the dads’ personalities, for strangers across eras.

Talon: an honorary father, he’s nice and polite, but he can be an airhead and unaware of what the heck is happening. Doesn’t matter what is going on in his life he will find a way to fall asleep. He’ll fall asleep in any position too. He’s a patient person when he’s comfortable but when he’s thrown into an unknown world where he need to fight for his life he is a giant bundle of anxiety. He doesn’t swear since he doesn’t feel the need to but on this journey he has cussed a lot more than he has his whole life. He is just… very stressed out.

Benji: a gremlin. It’s hard to tell since he comes off as a mature adult but he jokes around a lot, is sarcastic, and makes fun of people if they do something stupid. However when he’s calm he can have pleasant conversations, and he plays his guitar which he is really good at. He has an air of sadness around him though. Probably has depression which is why he acts the way he does.

Rusl: is a very polite and wholesome man, and you’d think he’s very pure, and he is, but once you get to know him you’ll see how he swears when he’s very frustrated. He doesn’t have anger issues though and he’s pretty good at coping with his emotions, but he sometimes has some gremlin energy as well. You’ll sometimes see him doing the most absurd things that a teenage boy would do. He can be careless and gets injured a lot more than everyone else. I love him

Leon: comes off as a strong leader who is good with words, but when you get out of a battle area and talk about random stuff he’s actually pretty awkward and says weird things. It’s not too weird but he isolates himself if he does say something weird. He might have RSD. He’s pretty reclusive but on this journey he doesn’t have the option to be alone. He also surprisingly has anger issues, he comes off as level headed but it’s pretty easy to annoy him (especially if you’re Linebeck). He doesn’t really yell or get physical unless you reeeallly piss him off (again, really easy to do if you’re linebeck)

Linebeck: comes off as an overconfident douchebag but is extremely self conscious and has a heart of gold. He’s one of those guys who thinks he’s the scum of the earth but at the same time can easily surpass Hylia. He’s very honest and that is both a blessing and a curse. He’ll let you know how he feels, whether it hurts your feelings or not. Of course if you’re offended he’ll feel really bad, cuz he’s too much of a coward to be an AH. If you need help he’ll be there for you, has learned a lot with comforting people since he met Link. Idk what else to say, he’s a scrunkley pathetic wet rat of a man and I love him for it.

I already talked about Age’s dad

Kass: another honorary father. He hasn’t officially adopted Wild nor do they really talk about it but he looks after Wild simply cuz he believes that Wild needs someone there for him. He’s easily the most stable out of everyone. His calming energy is nice for all the bundles of anxiety around him. He sometimes accompanies and sings along with Benji’s playing. Tho he seems soft, he’s very tough and is fully capable of defending himself if needed. Most of the time he flies away but he has learned from experience that you need to fight monsters if they pull up on you. He also gives nice hugs.

anyways gonna rant now

veryn is a gremlin who is a lot like me in real life but more my my ideal version of myself. He is high energy and chaotic and loud but he can be serious when he needs to be. He has chronic RBF (Resting Bedroomeyes Face)

Matthew is chill and quiet and worries and lot and does this cute little worries gentle smile that veryn freaking falls for. He seems like he doesn’t do any chaos crap but then he goes and does some wild thing and you realize why veryn fell in love with him. He is covered in scars bc of various stuff he accidentally got involved with.

veryn lives half in the woods and half in an appartement. He has wings. Sometimes he has horns and these dark on his face and shoulders but that only appears when he’s in very stressful situations.

Matthew lives in an appartement with his sister who is named Katie and has a job or goes to college, I haven’t decided which yet

they are both in their young twenties, no more that 24.

Matthew somehow gets some sort of forestry Wiley thing like veryn has but idk how. All I know is that he gets this long whipping tail with a tuft at the end which is the thing in the back of one of the picrews of him.

Matthew is covered in scars bc veryn is in the middle of this big situation where he’s fighting against these magical eldritch entities and Matthew at one point finds him in the woods fighting them and tries to help and then gets beaten up and bitten by magical snakes and almost dies. That is where most of his scars come from (he has a scar that looks like a dinsosaur on his left side just beneath his rib cage. It’s called the dinoscar) but some various other events give him lil other scars

Veryn is much better at defending himself because he has been having to fight for much longer and so does t have as many obvious scars. He does have on long one on his neck because enemies tries to slice it at one point but he lived.

Matthew usually wears a black turtleneck and this tan cardigan looking jacket. Some of the picrews I used didn’t have that option so I had to make due.

Veryn usually wears a bright green shirt about the color of the “Draft saved!” Pop up that happens in tumblr when you take ages to write a post. Then he wears a brown jacket on top and black or brown pants and some brown boots. He basically dresses kinda like a redneck but when you see the clothes on him you cannot see anything but skinny gay forest being.

Oh yeah Veryn’s wings look like the brown variant of a tawny Eagle. Basically. Except a little more brown and a little less white and dots/stripes.

I stayed up till one am last night writing a (rather spicy) fic for them. I will share SOME of it here in a different post. I will also show some art of these two in a different post. Stay tuned, anyone who’s interested!! Eventually I will probably make some sort of book or smth about these two. Yes Ik I use tropes and it’s not super realistic in a lot of ways but I understand that and I don’t really care because I’m just making the story to be however its best to me and cringe culture is dead .

Ok so I did a really long post about Four and Wild here, and I think that's probably what's going on, but on the other hand....

THAT'S SO SUSPICIOUS. That's not just a smile. THAT'S A SMIRK.

Before I go any further, I do not believe Wild is Dink right now. I think Wild is probably acting “weird” from trauma and stress, but there is a possibility that something's not right.

Wild was having his breakdown in the woods, and then the next time he shows up he's completely fine. He did have his epiphany moment, though, and I think his actions can be explained (I did that in my other post so I'm not gonna rewrite here).

BUT WHAT IF THAT'S NOT WHATS GOING ON? I really didn't think Wild was corrupted until I saw this panel:

That's a smirk. AND Wild is shadowed. If you look at Four, the side of his hair is in the light and a shadow is being reflected on his face. So Wild should not be in the shadow here. That, paired with the strange expression on his face is making me really suspicious.

Also, he doesn't seem to have the shiekah slate. There's a lot going on in the panels so that fully could be something Jojo just left out, but...

There is for sure no shiekah slate there.

However, I do not think Wild is Dink. Wild is Wild. There's no other way he could have made that speech to Twilight, in my opinion

I truly believe that came from Wild's heart. It was too meaningful to be fake.

But, Wild could be corrupted. He was really close to Dink, and he was alone in the woods without a weapon for a long time. We don't know what happened in between his epiphany moment and when he returned to the inn with the others. It can be argued that he seems a little too okay when he returns.

I'm not 100% sure how it would work, but Wild could be corrupted. Dink could be using him to spy on the chain, Dink could have left like a sleeper agent sort of thing in Wild that he can activate for his purposes and like possess Wild or something... Idk. I think Wild is in control of his actions, because of the speech, but he could be under the influence of corruption. The smirk is not Wild.

And if that's the case, I have a few pressing concerns.

First, what's in the potion he gave to Hyrule

Second, he touched Twilight. That can't be a good thing

On the bright side, Four might have realized something isn't right

Back to this panel, Four is in focus. He's looking right at Wild. His expression isn't necessarily sad like he's thinking about the fight, and it isn't that he's proud of Wild for giving them hope. He looks almost suspicious, too. The moment right before this panel was specifically between Wild and Time, and Wild is the one who just gave the speech, so there isn't a good reason for Four to be in focus here unless he knows something.

If Four knows something is wrong with Wild, I think he'll try to go confront Wild. I hope he doesn't go alone, but he might. If that happens, there might be another confrontation or something, I'm not sure.

It would be ideal if Four asked Warriors to go with him to confront Wild. Time and Hyrule are busy with Twilight, Sky needs to stay and keep the group together, Legend and Wind really aren't in a state to be doing anything. Plus, Four was arguing with them recently so there might be some awkwardness there.

I’m also not trying to ignore the effect that trauma has on a person’s behavior. People don’t act “like normal” when dealing with trauma, and Wild is most definitely dealing with a lot of trauma and stress right now.

So yeah. This is almost definitely not what's going to happen, but it's fun to think about. Moral of the story is this update was so amazing and I can't wait to see what happens next :D

I was rewatching Dangerous Romance for Reasons, and there's sooo many stuff happening in the background, but this dinnertime conversation between Kanghan and his father made me think a little deeper.

Kanghan first brings up the topic of him running for the school president. His grandmother encourages him, saying how proud she'll be to have her son and grandsons be successful in their own areas.

"I could tell the whole neighborhood about it."

Very typical Asian elder talk. C'mon Asian ppl of ql tumblr, we've all heard about how the kid next door is the student representative/won an essay competition/ranked first in the exam/plays a sport in the state level/is good at singing etc etc etc right

Maybe a little very annoying (if you're not running for the school president, that is) but matches up with reality. Elders being proud of their kids' or grandkids' achievements, and more often than not pushing them to do better, to excel. You gotta do better than the other kids in academics/grades/sports/socialablity/arts etc etc

Then Kanghan's father speaks up and his words not only contrasts Kang's grandmother's (can I just call her granny from now? grandmother is too long a word) but with much of the usual way ('usual' cause I can't say every single parent/grandparent in Asia is the same) elders in Asia perceive the childrens' school life. Instead of telling Kanghan to work hard and do well, he actively *discourages* Kanghan to steer away from it.

"This kind of work is not easy, you know?"

"You don't want to do it. Trust me"

Now, I'm all for not stressing out kids. Personal experiences ahaha But this is actively restricting Kanghan from exploring and developing his interpersonal and leadership skills, which, I don't think any parent would want to do? Especially someone from the higher economic background, who would prefer their kids to be all shiny and nice. And this is also cutting off someone's chances of developing themselves, opening their wings to the world.... not the best thing a parent should do, certainly.

But it doesn't stop there. Mr. Father I forgot his name is not merely advising, or cautioning Kang. Instead, he is not leaving Kanghan with any decision to choose whether he actually wants to run or not. He's the one making Kanghan's choices, he's taking away Kanghan's agency.

His words appear to be full of care, concerned for Kang's safety. He just wants his son to enjoy his schools years fully.

"At your age, don't stress yourself out unnecessarily. Just have fun at school and hang out with your friends. Then come home to enjoy a good meal of food. Have a good night's sleep."

But, it just hits me as wrong. Idk why, maybe I'm picking too much, looking at all the wrong things and making the worst assumptions. But still, telling their children to only enjoy themselves and do nothing else... I don't feel like that's the best for their future life, not matter how much generational wealth they'll inherit. The need to show off kids is proportional to economic affluence, in my experience?? But ofc very variable

"These kind of thing suits you better. Trust me"

This line, especially. It makes it seem that Kanghan never had a choice. His father had made all the choices for his present and future based on the image of Kanghan he has created on his mind. Is his image actually true to reality? We don't know yet (it's only the 1st ep and I'm def digging too deep and pulling wild theories out of slowly-thickening-but-still-too-this air.)

Kanghan will be what his father wants him to be, what his father believes would suit him. Not so much of a caring father then, eh?

Another interesting thing is Kanghan's posture. He's tense, hunched, not meeting his father's eyes except for in quick, shifty glances. Completely different from his father's confident, smiley way of presenting himself. He's not smiling, he just listens and agrees quickly without saying a word of opposition, or bringing up his own views on the topic.

And in moments like these I wish I knew gifmaking because when these conversation is happening, Kanghan is fidgeting with the cutlery in his hand. He's nervous, stressed.

And his father, who doesn't want his son to be stressed, should atleast be able to tell how the atmosphere has turned heavy, right? but he doesn't seem t care much about stress on his son if he's the one behind the stress.

Now I'm no body language expert but these are some tell tale signs (though the context of Kang's nervousness can be due to some other history he has with his father, rather than emotional manipulation?)

"Have this, son."

And the obedient son is rewarded with a gift of affection. A show of care. Positive reinforcement. Whatever you wanna call it.

Kang tries to smile but of course he can not.

There's another thing, Grandmother, the oldest one at the table, who ought to have enough authority in the household to counter Mr Father, if not more (cause seniority, filial piety and all that), does not oppose him. Though she is not happy with the decision, and she also wants to see her grandson shine and smile.

Then we cut to the scene of Pimfah hope I'm not mistaking names again and Kanghan in the garden. Here, Kanghan seems fine, he's smiling, but he seems to have a dangerous (sadistic?but not in the fun way. also half title drop yay!) streak to him.

The whole dog discussion shivering and hugging my cats protectively.

"My father told me, if you want to tame a dog, don't be afraid to punish it to let it learn."

At first I thought he's just being his privileged rich oppress the poor talk that he's socialised into for being born into wealth.

But after thinking this way, could it be that the one getting punished and tamed, is actually Kanghan himself? With the way his father treats him, denial followed by care, and the way Kanghan does not even try to disobey his father's words... hmmm....

"They say if you hit a dog too much, it can become aggressive."

Being abused as a child lead to higher chances of the child turning abusive, a bully themselves in later life.

That said, whatever one faces in childhood or any other walks of life is NO excuse for further harming another person. Lots of abuse victims become activists, volunteers, or research into abuse prevention and participate in policy making, too.

But anyway, *if* abuse of truly happening in the father-son relationship, can we hope that Kanghan directs any resultant aggressiveness towards his father at the end of the show? Cause idk if a man of such power and wealth can be held accountable to the law... We didn't get this with Vegas but can I hope?

That said, the following dialogues has weakened my line of thought.

But then again media is always perceived differently by different people based on their socialisation and experiences so...

SO anyway, that's some of the scattered thoughts I had! This is probably not a correct observation (my guesses are never right, I'm not lucky at cards ueueue), and ep 2 will prove it wrong in a few hours. Can't say I'm not looking forward to that ehehe~ What consequences will Sailom face for his daring? Will the teacher get punched? Will Kanghan get beaten? (hopefully by Sailom or his friends and not by his father) Will Nawa get slapped? (Guy looks like he packs a mean slap, and Marc Pahun looks pretty af when he's miffed u.u) Will Pimfah have cute girlie? (I CAN HOPE), will we get to see Sailom's elder brother?

ALSO, since we have yet another politician and his rich, spoilt on the exterior son airing on Saturdays, my views have certainly been influenced, too. There are too many similarities (except Kanghan actually still has a mother figure?), so high chances I'm unconsciously projecting Senator Thattep and Tanthai's relationship on Kanghan and his father's. Maybe all they have is some coldness, or historym or issues regarding Kanghan's mother? The possibilities are not endless, but there's a lot u.u

Lightning: “When wild animals are taken into captivity, they do not fair well most often. They get stressed out to the points of severe aggression, mental and physical illness, and sometimes… it even kills them.”

Arcee: “So… my question is… Are stressed out by the new environment?”

Lightning: “… Yes.”

Arcee: “… So… I think when you adjust you should get some sort of… mandatory therapy because… You are definitely not okay when it comes to change.”

Lightning: “I’m not— afraid of change.”

Arcee: “Not intentionally. Just as any one of us you were conditioned to the circumstances.”

Lightning: “Ah…”

Arcee: “Though I do need to warn you there will be an adult coming the base—”

Lightning: “And I am going back under.”

Arcee: “… Fair enough.”

Arcee now back with the rest of the Autobot’s

Arcee: “Lightning’s been told.”

Optimus: “Good. How is she settling in if I may inquire?”

Arcee: “Hiding under the berth in her quarters.”

Optimus: “… Why is she hiding?”

Arcee: “From her own description she is experiencing the stress of change like any wild animal put into captivity.”

Optimus: “She does know the base is safe, she will not be hurt?”

Ratchet: “It sounds more like trust issues for her. Her past is tragic even for a humans. Being treated as much as a sewer rat, when she needed an adult to help her, let alone the dramatic shift of even mutating into what she is now… even that was brutal on her.”

Optimus: “It seems that would make the most sense if she’s hiding.”

Ratchet: “I think for now we don’t bother her for a few hours. If she is anything like an animal, which I don’t doubt, but if in the case she is, it’s best to give her enough space so as to not further add onto those fears and distrust.”
