Remaking a four year old au I made back in 2020 when I watched rottmnt for the very first time! This was before the movie came out, and a lot of the themes and tropes from this old au got repurposed into my fic New Hardware lol. Its good to know I always liked bugs and also was evil 💜

I actually made this before I watched tmnt 2012, so it isn’t really based on the infamous wasp episode, but it could definitely be adjacent to that lol. It kinda freaked me out how much my art has improved since then, so I figured I’d pay homage to my past self by making art for her idea.

In terms of updated design, the old parasite was based on centipedes I think, but I’ve updated it to be based on my favorite fucked up looking worm guy, the bobbit worm. As for the basic story, essentially Donnie falls prey to a parasitic worm dude which does mind control about it to keep itself alive and also to try and synthesize more of its mind control venom and create copies of itself using Donnie’s science know-how.

Idk if I’ll do anything with this AU, depends how I’m feeling lol. Just thought it’d be a fun little exercise mostly.

(Hive Mind) Isaac Clarke x readerRomantic!

Yes. I do Dead space, I have another series THAT DO NOT MIX the x reader and the apprentice storyline are two completely different things. And I only do the remake because I haven’t played the other (sad violin music because I wanted to.)

Warnings: Dead Space stuff, doi. Idk I kinda feel like while he’s in his Hive Mind version he’d be this was (I’ll explain what that is do not fret it’s an au I’ve created.) Death, obsessive behavior, clingy, mutilation, Cultist stuff.

To say the least he would be very clingy, very attached after his beloved girlfriend committed suicide. He would make sure you never even thought of that, (literally with the help of the Marker.)

Hive Mind Isaac is different than his normal version. In this version the Ishimura never reached planetfall but Isaac had repaired it enough to keep it in orbit. He had collected all the Marker fragments and performed the ritual in Captain Mathias’ office. But it didn’t bring Nicole back. Instead it set him up to essentially be the new Altman. In the flesh. Only problem was the Marker would need to kill of the Hive Mind, because it was no longer of use to it after Aegis VII was prohibited by Earthgov. Who better than the man who had been currently slaughtering thousands of its children to dispose of it?

And lo, Isaac with his deteriorating mental state, became the next Hive Mind, gaining control of all Necromorphs. The Marker has plans for Isaac. In time….

Though this enabled the Unitologists to now loyally worship and follow him (to his dismay)

Anyway now with the influence and power of the Marker Isaac resides on the Ishimura now, making it his permanent new home. Mainly because the Marker is there as well. The Ishimura is in pretty decent shape, er he didn’t really clean up the gore because he liked the aesthetic (his mind was altered to be more sadistic and accustom to death).

You would most likely meet Isaac by an emergency landing onto the Ishimura, a rescue or exploration of the long-forgotten ship. Since the Marker ritual Isaac doesn’t age anymore so….

If the case was an emergency landing you and your crew would have wandered the halls aimlessly as they get picked off one by one by the Necromorphs.

Of course having access to all security in the Ishimura enabled him to watch you and your crew. He didn’t kill you immediately because he was curious to see how long you’d survive.

Though slowly he grew a bit fond of you, you reminded him of his dearly depart just a bit. Which was enough to intellectually communicate with the Necromorph Hive not to attack you.

After killing off your whole crew he’d just lurk unsuspectingly in the shadows watching you with interest. Seeing your determination and bravery to survive something that seems virtually impossible peaks and sparks his interest.

He can’t help but feel lonely though, it’s a difficult concept considering what happened with Nicole.

He’d most likely watch you for a few hours trying to survive.

Then he would reveal himself…as a survivor, he would lead you to ‘safety’ just like ‘Nicole’ had led Isaac to the pedestal where he originally placed the Marker (before placing it back on the ship per the Marker’s request.)

You two would grow closer and Isaac would grow to need you as a form of attachment and a slight string of sanity.

When he revealed who he really was, of course you would flee in fear. Can anyone blame you?

Well he’ll just send every Necromorph on the Ishimura after you, lucky you.

After you are inevitable dragged into his grasp once again he’ll never let you go.

Personally, I don’t see him hurting you at all. Which means the Necromorphs wouldn’t as well.

The clingy and “I can’t risk anything happening to you” type. The type that would scour the universe to get you back.

As an engineer he still enjoys his pastime of building various things, even a few for yourself.

You do get scared by the Unitologists cultists who basically worship Isaac and yourself (since you are his “soulmate” that courtesy gets extended to you). One of the worst being Mercer (no he’s not dead in this.) who the Marker wanted to keep to…monitor Isaac (like the little bitch Mercer is).

Isaac makes sure to give you the love and attention you deserve, peppering little kisses across your forehead whenever possible.

He’ll give you adorable nicknames like ‘baby’, ‘sweetie’, ‘sweetheart’ (thats what he used to do with Nicole.)

Other than his less than convenient affiliation with the Marker and all it entails, he’s a morally rounded but broken person. Always making sure and TRYING not to—“…say the wrong thing.”

i'm curious, do you know why or have and theories on why they make cloti kiss but clerith only hug/hold hands? I was thinking that clerith is more pure and their love is slowly blossoming aka slowburn which I find cute and very fitting for them but the clerith shipper in me is angry bc I would have loved to see them kiss LOL what are your thoughts?

I’ll be real with you, I don’t think either ship should have had a kiss yet and im astonished CT did and how it happened, i think its spoiled all the build up having it there when they’ve been arguing a lot and that it would have been so much more poignant after the LS sequence but now the moment is gone on a poorly framed kiss they’re never going to talk about again bcus it has no relevance to the plot. Thats why they have them agree not to talk about it. I think it’s a shame for people who have waited for 27yrs for that moment. And then after it no matter what they all have to play as Cloud has many non optional romantic moments with Aerith in ch 13 + 14. Reviews have mentioned how off and disjoined it is. I think that’s why they made sure to emphasise before the game came out that the dates were meant to be fun but don’t impact the story. But id be pissed if id waited that long for a kiss and that’s how i got it. and especially that in one route cloud looks like a dick but in another he doesn’t; that should really tell them something about the story. Why they gave them one idk, but I kinda wonder if it was getting them on the hook for p3 cus the last 2 chapters made CT fans real mad (even if they’re pretending otherwise on main, ppl have seen their discord and they’re not happy).

I think CA don’t kiss for a few reasons:

Cloud has remembered Zack, albeit incorrectly, much earlier. Through the game he has instances of jealousy towards him and that becomes more uncomfortable and confusing once he’s remembered they were friends. This has just happed before the dates and why when they get on skywheel he’s a bit awkward and won’t sit beside her! Of course that doesn’t last long; it was either nojima or nomura but one of them said in remake that cloud tries to keep distance between him and Aerith but he can’t do it 🥰🥰 but Zack definitely makes him more reluctant and unsure. Even when he reaches to take her hand it’s slow and cautious bcus he doesn’t know if it’s okay. And of course it is!

Aerith is fully aware Cloud is not himself. On his GS date she tells him she’s trying so hard to find him but in case you missed that as you did a different date, she also says it again in the sleeping forest; that cloud should focus on the real him she’s been looking for and leave Sephiroth to her. She knows there’s something up and kissing him knowing that is not something I think Aerith would do.

CA are the love that could never be ship. In the trailer for the 97 game, that was what they were described as. Part of the tragedy of clerith is that they have these budding feelings but before they have a chance to go anywhere Aerith is murdered. In the original cloud realises the depth of his feelings too late: at the end he says ‘I think I understand now’ and then expresses his desire to meet Aerith in the promised land. And all crossover material he’s in emphasises that he’s always looking for her. They are a star crossed lovers ship. And cloud is also dense and emotionally a mess; yes he likes her clearly, he shows jealousy for Zack, he goes on dates with her, he holds her hand and looks so happy to do so, but he can’t put all those feelings he has and come up with the right answer. In the church she confesses and he doesn’t quite get it and she, linking to her resolution imo (don’t fall in love with me) drops it and apologises and hugs him instead. This is all in line with the OG, that he’ll be hit with the full force of his feelings and what she meant in p3. Remember he’s just said he wants to go on more dates to create more ‘our spots’ with her. She looks happy and then sad when he says this because yay he likes her he wants to do this again, but of course she knows what he doesn’t: that they are about to run out of time.

So that is why I think they don’t kiss. I think it makes sense they didn’t! But I do think they’ll kiss in p3 for sure.

This is him when he’s done coming together. He’s still not fully powerful or physically all there yet, but it’s just enough to be able to troll Simon at the end 💀💀💀. Anyway yeah he’s totally me when my arch nemesis doesn’t find my teeth and accidentally summons me before I’m ready lol.

Simon is literally so fun to just put in poses. He is almost always my model for drawing poses because his big thighs kinda force you to make his pose even more exaggerated to get the same amount of open space and ratio of things— yeah idk it’s fun. He’s also allowed to have some sass sometimes I think. Fun fact! I didn’t use a reference for these :3. I’m so proud! Angles like this are usually hard!!! Oh and rare family heirloom sword moment. I’m taking this as a nod to the recent Haunted Castle remake now, which was so out of no where like (*o* ). I’ll take it!!! Simon game!!! A win!!! Hopefully the next collection they put out has Adventure Rebirth in it X3.

Simon but he is staring at you with the saddest pouty wet cat eyes. Tbh I think this general kinda neutral/resting sad expression is what I draw him with the most.

Which is why I also tried drawing him with other expressions!!!!!! In this one he is surprised and awkwardly responding to being told something so negative it’s almost comedic 💀💀💀. I was imagining the one town in Simon’s Quest with some bangers like “after Castlevania I told you never to return” and “you’ve upset the people now get out of town” X,,,,,D. He’s a little taken aback and was gonna try to defend himself, but he just leaves anxiously.

Please imagine that in this one he is saying that one meme that goes “it is hot as hell in this fucking ass hot ass room I’m in… IS THAT THE GRIM REAPER⁉️⁉️⁉️”.

Yay! Putting him on furniture for background practice!!! He is sitting on a church pew, having a couple micro sleeps cause he’s sleep deprived. He may fall off cause that armor is a little too heavy when sitting down I’d imagine.

Here’s my observations of 1x03 - Brigade of my beloved, The Bear!!

When Carm’s at the beach, there’s a “let it rip, Buddy” which I’m pretty sure is our very first let it rip

Carm takes “the chemistry needs to change” and “just try to keep my side of the street clean” and absorbs it

I think I’ve counted 4 pepto and tums stashes? The office, the bathroom, the locker room, and his bedroom

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but Carm sleeps with socks on

In the Al-Anon pamphlet, under the DO (as opposed to DON’T) section was “take it easy— tension is harmful”

Manny, Angel, and Marcus are all definitely there before Carm. Marcus said Carmy was early, but he came in at the same time as Syd, so might be able to assume she comes in before him normally

We get to see a little bit of Carm’s purer passion for cooking. Him just deciding to teach Marcus about the plum thing because he has that knowledge to share. The Carm-Marcus mentor relationship is so superior

Also he says Har-EE-bo which threw me off. I always say HARE-ih-bo

Carm starts the French brigade to keep his side of the street clean and change what he can, but there’s also the layer where Carm likes consciously or subconsciously reliving his traumas, but in a situation he has more control over. Carmy is trying to remake New York here, except he’s the Executive Chef, but he’s not going to be overbearing like his Chef was

“Ebra: I was in a brigade once. Tina: What happened? Ebra: Many people died. Tina: See, Jeff? Carmy: It’s gonna be different” is such a good back and forth, Ebra is easily the funniest person here

Carmy parrots, “They keep their side of the street clean,” and you can almost tell he’s been rolling those words over and over in his head all day

We get Ebra’s first “I accept” !!!

After the call from Niko, it’s like Carm either doesn’t hear Richie the first time he asks, “What was that?” Or he just can’t get words to come out of his mouth. Carm’s voice goes kinda small and quiet. Richie asks if he blew a fuse, and I could imagine that’s exactly what it felt like

“I just felt like Michael was alive for a second.” Carm wasn’t there for the funeral, it’s hard to tell how it was long after Mikey died when he moved back from New York, he never grieved with anyone. He knows Michael’s dead, he can say it without a second thought, he jokes with the “I’ll ask him when he’s not dead” in 1x06, but the deepest proof he has is word of mouth. There’s bound to be some part of him that’s in denial about Mikey’s death

He hears, “I want to set this place on fuckin fire,” in his head, same as after the nightmare in 1x08, so did he know about the failing fire suppression stuff? Did Mikey say that to him at some point? Idk this is just a weird quote, some good s1 unreality tho

As Carm runs from wherever he was to out the door, you can hear shit being knocked over behind him, but he doesn’t look back. He’s pretty okay with telling people when something is wrong, but actually having them be there for him is a different story. The second he crosses the threshold into panic, he bolts, so no one can see it. When he gets off the call with Niko, he never turned around to face Richie and just waited until Richie walked out before he let himself press a hand into his chest and sit down

No matter how pissed Tina is with Syd, she’ll still ask, “What happened? Let me see” when she cuts her finger <3

Tina goes up to Sweeps and Marcus who both have the blue aprons and there’s such a good bit I forgot about, “Tina: You two look like you joined a dumbass cult. Sweeps and Marcus in unison: Thank you”

Another good Ebra bit: “Syd: Well, it’s not good, so Ebra: You betrayed me!”

When Syd goes out front looking for her onions, Richie is talking to Crooked John from 1x06 !!!

There’s a bench outside no one ever seems to use after this (that I’ve noticed), but I guess whenever we see someone go out back, they’re probably either nervously pacing (Carm) or too sad to feel like they deserve a bench (Marcus)

Even after the hellish half day she just had, it takes a little prompting from Carmy to open up about it, and when she does, it feels almost straightforward, I told you this would be bad, you didn’t listen to me, and that isn’t the job I came for, you suddenly gave me this responsibility then left, and it didn’t go well, etc. She also gains a little bit of revenge by fucking with Carmy and lightening the mood. She may not be super comfortable with explaining this stuff to others, but she seems to have a good bit of emotional intelligence (especially compared to Carm) to pinpoint everything that bothered her

And after all that, Carmy snuck out again at sunset to go to the beach and feel painful emotions about it being Mikey’s birthday

I think the first 2 eps introduced external and internal conflict respectively, so now, we could start getting into some recurring stuff. It starts planting the seeds for the season 2 Carmy ditching the restaurant for what he thinks will be healthier arc. And Syd gets her shit rocked, and that’s so rude because she deserves the world

After Death

i wrote a poem about shepard's struggles in me2.

My hands, they won’t stop shaking, thinking about how close I came to peace, peace I earned. I fought and bled and died for war and it wasn't enough so I’ll keep fighting there is no other use for me if even death can’t take me from this fight, then what will? I died only two weeks ago, two years to you, and the galaxy that abandoned me. I lost so much more than time there is no place for me in this changed world nothing here brings comfort except for you. I fought and bled and died for war and now these baying hounds surround me, docile they have already ripped into my flesh and taken what they will Pieces of me bleed into this uncertain reality you’re bringing them back shreds of that person I used to be. I wish you wouldn’t. I functioned better when I’d forgotten what I lost in the unmaking and remaking of me. I should thank you for standing by my side for fighting at my back for your very presence holding me up when the fall feels so very inevitable but I cannot not when I’m leading you to your death. My hands, they shake. They never used to before I died before I was dragged back into existence this body doesn’t feel like home scars and ink as permanent as drawings etched in sand washed away with the tides it is not the mirror that is fractured Gun in hand, and the tremors stop. I know how to pilot this body once more it’s why they came howling for my life. I am weapon made flesh deliverer of death. Maybe when I die next, I will have true peace. Maybe when I die next, I will have finally earned it. It’s then in my moment of longing that you take me into your arms and I know that in this neverending battle I am not alone. Pieces of me bleeding back into this new reality and I am made whole again, yet changed. Perhaps change isn’t so very bad, when it’s you leading the charge. You and Xavier clearly had feelings for each other, even though you two only just met a few days ago. It was unraveled in Xavier’s room, at around 7pm the week after Rowan left.

You knocked on Xavier’s door, waiting patiently for it to open. Xavier opened the door, he probably just had a shower as his hair was wet.

Xavier looked at you and grabbed your hand, pulling you into his room, shutting the door behind him.

He clearly felt what you felt in those moments.

Xavier pushed you up against the door and he was so close to placing his lips against yours.

“Can I kiss you?” Xavier asked.

“You didn’t have to ask.”

Xavier crashed his lips into yours, your lips both moving against each other. Xavier’s hands gripped onto your waist, pushing you into the door and you had a hand on his neck and the other in his hair.

You felt Xavier’s lips leave yours and start kissing your jawline, his hands slid under your shirt and his nails dug into your waist.

You made a slight noise of pleasure. Xavier’s lips moved down onto your neck, sucking, licking and biting. You moaned slightly, trying to keep it in.

Xavier’s lips left you for a slight second.

“Don’t try and cover those moans or I’ll bite down harder,” Xavier said before going back to biting your neck.

Xavier grabbed your thighs and wrapped them around his waist. He moved his lips off of your neck while he threw you onto his bed.

You squealed as he threw you down, Xavier then took off his shirt and took a few breaths before making his way to you.

He leaned down and kissed your lips once again, rougher and rougher until he bit down on your lip. You moaned into Xavier’s mouth as he slid his tongue into your mouth.

You tongue’s both chose violence but Xavier won. He always won.

“Can I take your shirt off please?” He asked politely.

“Sure,” you breathed out heavily.

Xavier took a moment to take off your jacket and shirt off but he loved every second. So did you.

He tossed them to the side, but before he could realise, you were on top of him.

“That’s hot…” Xavier murmured.

You smiled, kissing his neck and giving him hickeys in return to the mess on your neck.

Xavier’s hands ran through your hair, gripping onto it every now and then. Your hands laid on his hips to stop him bucking up into you, which was quite painful by the way due to how horny he was.

Xavier was groaning and moaning quietly, which you didn’t mind that much but you knew it was way worser than probably he was giving you. And to be honest this was your first time giving someone hickeys.

You sucked even harder this time and then you bit down quite hard, not enough for blood though. He wedged his head into your neck, groaning loudly.

You stopped and looked at Xavier who was panting and had a layer of sweat on him.

Xavier smiled and laughed, spinning you both around. He laid on top of you and wrapped his hands around your waist. Xavier placed his head on top of yours and kissed your forehead.

“I love you, Y/N.”

“I love you too, Xavier…” you smiled.

Xavier looked to the side, looking at his alarm clock.

“That was one way to waste an hour,” Xavier chuckled.

“Yeah,” you laughed as well.

Whats a film opinion thatll get you thrown into the stocks

Oh boy! I simply went to my “rated lower than average” on letterboxd and remembered that I despise Fresh (2022), The Neon Demon, and Love Actually. Lmao.

As far as opinion, hm. I think that remakes are not inherently bad (trust me, I’m still a hater), and they are as old as Hollywood itself. A Star Is Born, Love Affair, The Great Gatsby, Little Women, A Christmas Carol, etc etc have been remade several times over (and some are lost forever because they’re that old) and it’s telling about the era they’re from. It’s about whether there is good storytelling or creativity.

As far as the romcom-aissance that’s going on now, I do have a kinda controversial opinion. I don’t think the romcom was ever dead, because the way it’s been defined in the romcom-aissance is including straight to streaming movies and not just ones in theaters. And if that’s the definition, then I don’t think we’re suddenly getting an influx of good new romcoms! I think Anyone But You is genuinely good both on the big and small screen, but as always, not every romcom is good. (Trust me. I’ve watched hundreds and will watch hundreds more, because I love them, even though I hate some lol.) Quantity and quality and all that. There were some great romcoms that came out in the 2010s as romcoms continue evolving. (Some unwatchable ones, too!) However, they tend to keep putting comedy above the romance and I think that is incorrect!!! We need more straight up comedies, absolutely, Bottoms was so goddamn refreshing, but there’s a reason the rom comes first in romcom.

These are more just rants ummm. On the topic of comedies, I really don’t jive with overly raunchy gross comedies. Like, it is not the content I can’t handle, I’ll watch movies w unsimulated sex no problem, Filth (2013) is a fav, but like Bridesmaids is just not very funny to me and all the poop humor doesn’t help. I feel like that’s the real controversy is I don’t really like Bridesmaids. Love ya tho women!

Another is I’m getting tired of insane ensembles being the only pull. If it also has a great story I’m sold but let other actors have a shot idk. (This is on studios wanting zero risk; not on actors blocking out each other. Sigh.)

I was literally cheering as Ada fell and was yelling at her when she kissed him I was pissed. I started Claire 2nd and I’m having trouble understanding how her run lines up with Leon’s. I’m doing basically the same exact things I did with him which is honestly kinda annoying. I’m also trying to figure out the timeline between this one and the first one. Ik that 1 takes place in July & 2 is in September, but what happens in between that with the STARS members? Hoping it touches more on that in 3 (it was on sale digitally for like $10 I’m so excited!). Mr X is terrifying I see why people said this one was the scariest. Yeah I didn’t think it was possible but I always hold out hope cause Capcom are so weird about their IPs 😒 and yes Mr. X was so fun in RE2make (way better than Nemesis but that’s a whole other tangent 🤣)

You might if you can find the GameCube versions of the OG RE2 and RE3 games. They play as well as the PS1 versions and it’s the exact same so not missing anything 😉

Haha that kiss is what I was talking about! Like she’s such a user —which I get that’s her character she’s a spy (first mentioned in RE1 as John’s password-his girlfriend’s name- and that’s why she’s in OG RE2, looking for her boyfriend who was a researcher for umbrella).

And to be honest the B scenarios do NOT complement the A scenarios. I am 100% of the belief that they were last minute additions 😒 for the most part they don’t really add too much in the way of story aside from a few little anecdotes.

So yeah sorry for that big disappointment 😆 oh man that’s a whole can of worms sorta? Lmao. Capcom is notorious for retconning or having confusing timelines 🤣 So buckle up I’ll try to keep this pretty streamlined:

RE1 takes place in July of 1998 and RE2 and RE3 take place at the same time with 3 lasting longer as Jill becomes infected and is in the city a bit longer. Like another disappointing factor is not having any crossover from the 2 and 3 remake cause come on! That would’ve been sick as hell for Jill to run into Claire or Leon in the RPD 🙄

Anywho, but as for the time between RE1 and RE2 is that Umbrella has Chief Irons in their pocket and so has him disband STARS and sweep everything under the rug. So no one believes them about the Spencer Mansions incident and so everyone’s oblivious to the shit storm about to happen 🤣

Brad is a chicken so hides away from everything. Rebecca peaces out. Barry takes his family and leaves for safety; Chris goes off to Europe to look into some Umbrella connections (which is why Claire didn’t find him and what leads into her looking for him a la Code Veronica).

Jill stays behind in Raccoon but she’s legit about to peace out to go after Chris when all that shit goes down and Nemesis is hunting the STARS members down; he fucking annihilates Brad, like tentacle through the mouth out the back of the head (so in 3make his death was way lame in my opinion 😒)

So unfortunate in 3make they don’t touch on anything inbetween 1 to 2 and 3; with OG RE3, there were epilogue scenes that explained what happened to everyone which was really cool but they took those out for some reason. They’re online if you wanna look it up. It explains why Leon ended up working for the govt, where Claire went, what happened to Jill, Barry, Chris, Ada, etc. All really cool and idk why they didn’t toss it in 😞
