I have. Struggled a lot with this one, but I am glad it is done. I've had this idea rotating in my brain for a month and I have tried starting it at least 3 times both traditionally and digitally before I decided to turn it into a cut out, because I feel the most confortable making cut outs, actually.

I don’t like. Really enjoy posting art on tumblr anymore, I'm not really looking to necessarily ‘Curate An Audience’ with the artwork I create, but this is a piece that is very personal to me that has been in development for way too long and which I am very proud of, especially for being the first time I've done this sort of like, ‘Collage Style’ for an art piece. IDFK, I just like it a lot.

TDLR: I spend too much time thinking about the mental states of various Spider-man characters, especially for the antagonists

exclusionists are so hostile to questioning people it’s cruel. like im sorry you can’t accept yourself but to go out of your way to bring down others who are still confused about who they are is just plain cruel.

I don’t care if you think bi lesbians are lesbophobic- because you know what’s infinitely MORE lesbophobic? going out of your way to harass someone who’s questioning being a lesbian just because they’re using “confusing” terminology.

for some people, being a bi lesbian IS about being confused. and by that I don’t mean “you’re just confused, it’s just a phase”. what i DO mean is that questioning is hard as fuck, and many times you literally just are stuck in this limbo where for the life of you, if someone were to ask you if you were bi or lesbian, you wouldn’t be able to answer because you JUST DONT KNOW.

that was me for YEARS. I lost sleep most nights because I couldn’t tell if I was bi OR lesbian. or aroace or both or neither or you get the picture. I know most queer people can relate. so yeah, I started identifying as bi lesbian initially because it was so hard to figure out which one fit me more that I realized I could just say im both because that saves me so much stress.

maybe NOW the reasons I identify that way are different, but that’s what it was for me at first. It was a way to save myself from the agony of infinite questioning that led me NOWHERE. my mental health is more important than using the label that doesn’t confuse anyone. im so ducking sorry that MY internal nightmare is so inconvenient to YOU, random stranger who doesn’t know me from a hole in the wall, just because the labels I slap on the surface of that nightmare challenge your worldview a little. it is not my responsibility to put your personal understanding over my mental and physical health. and it’s fucking cruel that anyone would even consider asking me to, but I’ve seen SO MANY EXCLUSIONISTS pretty blatantly state that labels aren’t about personal comfort, but about definitions and shit.

so when I see an exclusionist say “you’re not a bi lesbian you’re just confused” it is so fucking rage-inducing because you don’t care if im confused. You’re the one reaching out to me to make my confusion WORSE but you have the gall to act like you CARE?

I wouldn’t be here anymore if I had let my questioning take over me, so exclusionists can say “labels aren’t about personal comfort, words have meanings” until they’re blue in the face, but all I head is “I’d rather you be a dead conformity than a living anomaly”.

What if Danny's parents captured 'Phantom' and did horrible science experiments on him (including dissection), but 'Phantom' eventually had escaped... and the next day Danny (in both of his forms) became stoic, emotionless and is pretending that night never even happened... How would Vlad react to both Danny's Parents experimenting on him?... Would Vlad lose his love for Maddie and HATE Jack even more? 💔

If he truly cares about Danny—and I believe with my entire heart that he does, evidence by his actions in the show as well as his own dialogue—then yes, I think he'd fall out of love with Maddie very quickly and become even more hostile toward Jack. A traumatized Danny is a vulnerable Danny, easily swayed, and I can see Vlad approaching him yet again and making Danny that offer one last time:

"I could train you, teach you everything you know. Think about the things I could show you, the doors I could open for you. You, Daniel, and I—together, we could rule. And all you have to do is renounce your idiot parents."

After what his parents did to him, I can see Danny accepting Vlad's offer, running away from home, and living out the rest of his mortal days as Vlad's adoptive son—and the rest of his immortal life as the Prince of the Ghost Zone while Vlad sat on the throne as the new Ghost King.

On the other hand, if Vlad doesn't care about Danny and is an entirely evil, one-dimensional villain, he'd probably fall even more in love with Maddie for being so ruthless as to vivisect her own son, inadvertently or not. His feelings for Jack would probably not change at first, still thinking him an idiot and a bungler, but he'd be impressed with Maddie's cold, monomaniacal pursuit of truth and shower her with new spectral surgical instruments and ghost weapons and pharmaceuticals and fund a new state-of-the-art lab, basically giving her all the fuel she needs to make Danny's life hell on earth.

And Danny would have no way to escape. If he runs away to the Ghost Zone, Vlad would find him, or hire Skulker to find him, and drag him back. If Danny runs away in the human world, Vlad Masters, the billionaire philanthropist, would kindly donate his time, money and resources to help the Fentons find their "poor troubled son" again. Perhaps with enough good deeds, Vlad might finally succeed in insinuating himself into Jack and Maddie's marriage, and at long last he would have the woman of his dreams.

By that point the Fentons would be well under his control, eager followers of his rhetoric (especially Jack), and Danny wouldn't stand a chance in either realm. There'd be no way out for him.

Well. Maybe one way. But there'd be no coming back from that.

this is like. a proof of concept to myself for what design i want to use for (alt) cesar, including:

embroidery

the weird shading just Being there. he's just like that. i lov that idea for any alternates

his iris + pupil moving around (even escaping the eye,) a bit like the wax in a lava lamp does

the slit neck hc (not one i usually ascribe to, but it seemed fun)

this also has the roses (with eyes,) stained glass, and cross lighting (which i hope does read as a cross, it's a bit hard to tell...)

unfortunately, at some point i realized my ipad screen was super desaturated and the colors were completely off to what they actually were. it doesn't help that i do hav some problems with sight anyway. so i just desaturated the entire canvas itself and posted it. a lesson in something not turning out right but posting it anyway bcuz u can make art u aren't proud of and learn from it !!

i do hope u guys like the design ideas ^_^
