Ohhh this scene. This one's a doozy
Nine is right to call this out about Sonic, of course. While he's definitely grown since the start of the show, he's never really been able to move past his tunnel vision and tendency to project onto the others.
He never thought to ask Nine what he wanted not because he doesn't care, but because he didn't think he needed to. He inherently assumes that the people he's working with are on the same page as him until told otherwise - in fact, it wasn't too long ago that he was similarly thrown off by Shadow in that very room.
(Love Shadow being used as a sort of "test run" for these kinds of conflicts by the way)
But here's the thing. While it's true that Sonic didn't really think about what Nine wanted and just assumed they were going to stick together no matter what... the same is true of Nine.
Look at how confused Nine looks when Sonic talks about coming back to Green Hill and restoring it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nine didn't ask what Sonic was wanting to do by repairing the Prism because he thought it was obvious that they were going back to the Grim together. I don't think it occurred to him that fixing Green Hill was even an option, or at least not one that he considered in favor of his original plans.
And just like Sonic, it's not that he only cares about himself - he went out of his way to engineer coconuts and (presumably) palm trees because he knew how much Sonic missed them. It was really sweet!
Tumblr media
But, in what's becoming a pattern in this show, he doesn't understand why those trees matter to Sonic. They're not just cool plants, they're a reminder of home. And as Sonic aptly puts it at the start of the show, home is where your friends are.
I love that the conflict here is that both of them were convinced they knew what the other person wanted/would be okay with, because they think it'll naturally be the same thing they want, and then were both completely unprepared to handle a conflict of interest. It feels so natural and makes perfect sense with how they've been written up to this point.
But see, while I think it's pretty clear that Sonic and Nine fell into the exact same communication trap, I think it's going to take longer for Nine to realize his own fault in any of this.
Sonic spent the entire second half of that conversation looking devastated, and he's made it clear throughout the show that he's quick to feel remorse when he realizes he's hurt someone. In all likelihood, he's going to put all of the blame for that argument on himself, decide that Nine was right about everything, and leave it at that.
Tumblr media
Nine, likewise, doesn't strike me as a particularly self-reflective type. He'd probably try to justify not needing Sonic to himself before anything else, and with that in mind, who else is there to make him see the situation with more nuance?
If I had to pick, I'd guess Shadow - our resident "smacking people in the face with their own flaws" extraordinaire.
Why would he bother with any sort of mediating between the two? Well, the funniest reason would be that he finds Sonic's self-pitying and Nine's self-righteousness equally annoying, but I'm inclined to assume any sort of confrontation between him and Nine would be a little more dramatic than that. (He might still use that reasoning as justification though)
Anyway I gotta cut this post short before I go too far into speculation territory or else I'll be here for another hour and this took long enough to write as is, case in point I love me a well-written and believable conflict

Too Soon? | Sam
Summary: Charlie teams you both up with the Winchester brothers for a case. After a very long road trip toward a hunt, someone's caught feelings for you.
Word count: 1,113
Let me know if you want a part 2!
Tumblr media
♱⁺. ⋆˙✧⋆✧˙⋆⊹.♱
Charlie's excited grin means two things; there's a new World of Warcraft DLC, or she really wants you to do something with her. You huff, loosening your grip from her hands. "Char, I honestly really don't want to. I love you, I do, but..."
"Why, Y/N? It'll be so fun. Sam and Dean are so fun and so cool, you'll really like them. Even if it's a shitty boring hunt, at least you'll have me." She bounces up and down on the spot. "Please? Pretty please?" She begs, her ruby hair shining from the daylight coming through the window behind her. She looks at you in your eyes, pleading for you to once just say 'yes'.
You had been childhood best friends with Charlie ever since you both were bullied at school for playing video games during lunch breaks and recess. Both of you were the very few girls who would actually spend time around nerdy guys and weren't put off by them. Not that anyone gave them a chance, though.
"Okay, fine. I'll go with you. Just this once, though, you owe me." You give in, a smile creeping onto your face. What's the worst that could happen?
After Charlie's parents passed in a horrible accident when she was 14, she had been adopted by your father as both families were extremely close, good friends. It was almost like a dream come true for both of you at the time, being able to actually have a sister who's also your best friend? That's the best thing to ever happen to a child.
♱⁺. ⋆˙✧⋆✧˙⋆⊹.♱
You exit Charlie's beetle to a place that doesn't remotely resemble a home. "We're here?" You ask, squinting your eyes from the mid-summer sun blaring into your pupils. "Yep. They said to meet here." She says, checking her phone for any text messages. While glancing over at Charlie's phone, you notice two huge men walking toward you. "They're here!" She announces whilst the shorter man opens up his arms for her.
"Charlie!" He laughs gleefully, and she gives him a massive hug. You stand there awkwardly, not knowing what to do. "Hey, I'm Y/N." You greet the taller one, he runs his hand through his hair, before shaking yours. "Hi Y'N. I'm Sam. Nice to meet you." You look up at him flashing him a quick smile. "I assume the other guy is Dean?" You question, and Charlie pulls your arm towards her. "Y/N! This is Dean, he's my favourite. No offence, Sam." She chuckles, and Sam grunts. "None taken." He says. "Hi, Dean. Nice to meet you." You hold out your hand for him to shake it, and he takes it. "Nice to meet you. We've heard lots about you." He shows you a warm smile, his eyes a lovely shade of green that you haven't seen before.
"The gangs back together!" Charlie exclaims, you furrow your brows. "Back together? I've never met these guys in my life."
"You get what I mean."
♱⁺. ⋆˙✧⋆✧˙⋆⊹.♱
After lots of arguing about who gets shotgun, Charlie sits in the front with Dean, and you're sat in the back with Sam. Charlie passes you snacks every so often so you don't feel left out.
"So, YN," Sam starts, taking his gaze off of the trees speeding past the car. "How long have you known Charlie?" He asks, his hazel eyes meeting yours. "My whole life. She's my sister." You trail your sentence, not understanding why Sam would ask this. Dean chuckles. "Sammy, you didn't know that?" He and Charlie start laughing before she reaches over the seat to face you both. "I never told him this. Sorry, Sam." She pops another snack in her mouth, and Sam rolls his eyes. "Perks of being the least favourite, I guess. I'm out of the loop, guys." He throws his hands up in the air, a grin on his face. "It's okay. I'll tell you everything you need to know." You turn yourself round to face him, starting with the story of how you met her, where you grew up and everything that happened with Charlies' parents and your own.
The sun is setting pretty quick, the clouds turning salmon and the sky a denim shade. Dean smoothly parked the Impala outside of a small '70s diner, you all climb out and walk inside to find a free table. Luckily, the place seems busy so you assume it's got good food. You're starving at this point so to be honest, you'd eat anything at this point. You sit opposite Sam, but next to Charlie who's already looking at a menu. Scanning the table, there are only two menus. Dean and Charlie are so lost in their own world that they wouldn't even think about sharing a menu. You snatch the menu out of Charlie's hand and usher her to share with Dean while yourself and Sam work something out between you both.
You stretch your legs out and accidentally hit something long in front of you, assuming it's the table leg, you stretch out further. "That's my leg." Sam says, catching your eyes, then quickly looking away. "Sorry," you mumbled, seeing him act so awkward was somewhat charming to you, how his good looks could so easily get him so many women, yet he seems so reserved and polite. There really aren't that many men in the world like this, at all.
His golden eyes meet yours again, but you're already staring back at him. Your eyes widened in surprise, you didn't even think that he'd look at you again. "What?" He huffs, a smirk appearing. Oh, he knows he's hot. A dimple forms and suddenly, you're really attracted. "Me? Nothing. I was daydreaming." You lie.
The waitress comes over and takes everyones orders, and Dean turns around to allow you both to order. He notices how flushed your cheeks are and Sam's sly grin, and he puts two and two together. He nudges Charlie, and they both glance at you, then Sam, then back at each other with a huge smile on each of their faces. "Look at you two love birds," Dean starts, and you roll your eyes. "Please, don't start." You can't stop a simper from taking shape on your face, Charlie slaps your arm. "You two would be so cute together!" She scoffs, you've never seen her this happy about something before, it's almost scary.
"No, it's far too soon to say anything like that, Char!" You hide your face in embarrassment. "Am I not allowed to make friends?" You say, hoping Sam would have something to add.
"Is it too soon?" Sam says, grinning from ear to ear.

— TIE ME UP. yan! rich kid! childe x gn! mercenary! reader
your latest hit is a boy named ajax. the job's easy— kidnap him, bully him a bit, then send him back without any will to live. easy enough, it seems, but not everything will go the way you expect it.
( reader is not a good person; murder, mentions of torture; kidnapping; obsessive behavior, tying up, slight mentions of n/sfw, masochistic childe )
note. ahhhh im in a writing a slump so i decided to write the other part of anon's request to practice. idk if it's good enough, but childe will always be my go to whenever i want some disgusting yandere boy
you might like: childe's spiked drink
Tumblr media
it's nothing you haven't seen. someone wants someone dead and they would pay millions just to see that come true. you whistle when you open the case of green bills for the nth time this day and the sight makes you smile.
what a haul you've gotten. despite the dread that's been growing inside you since you took this job, the million worth of cash inside this single suitcase is enough for you to retire. maybe you'll finally take a break from all this gory business, find a nice plot of land where the police can't find you, and make a farm for yourself. that sounds nice.
determined to finally finish this once and for all, you slam the suitcase shut and chuck it into the back of your car, along with the squirming ginger screaming at you through his gags.
"it'll be all over soon, love," you croon, sporting a wicked smile. "jus' get some sleep in here, mmkay?"
with one last muffled scream of his, you slam the trunk on the poor man's shaking expression and rev the engine to life.
Tumblr media
"'ello there, babe," is the first thing the boy hears when he blinks his eyes awake. "good ting ya slept, hm? the road here was full of em potholes. not exactly pleasant for a passenger in the truck, right?"
it's a classic stereotype— that heavy country accent tinged with seduction and danger— even you're painfully aware of how cheesy your voice is. but it's what you were raised with, plus most of your victims dig the accent anyway, so might as well make use of it. the boy grimaces when the single fluorescent bulb swaying on the ceiling hits his sight, and he lets out a little grunt.
"ajax childe. third son of the ceo of childe's toy corporation and now…" you plop yourself onto the wooden seat in front of him, nonchalantly waving the knife in front of his wide-eyed stare. "the target of some rich sod's hatred." you give him a lookover, from his ruffled ginger hair, his lean bod, down to his strong calves. clearly, he's been working out. you sigh in mock pity. "what the hell did ya do anyway? make off with someone's girl?" he's pretty enough to entertain the thought, and judging how flirtatious he acts in front of the paparazzi, that very well might be the case.
he protests against the gag once again, and you shake your head. "sorry, babe. not really in the mood to listen to sum brat scream." you tap your cheek as you contemplate on what to do with him. "hmm... they didn't actually want ya dead, if i'll be honest with ya. just bully ya a little till ya want yerself dead, y'feel? it's good to 'ave less blood on my hands, but hm, when i get commissions like these..." you cock your head, pondering over the countless victims you had over the last decade.
"they don't usually come out alive, yanno?"
another muffled scream through the gag, and you watch in boredom as he tries to wiggle his way out of his binds. clearly, however, it's futile when all he accomplishes is burn himself with the rope. well, what else was he expecting? you were a hired mercenary, he a mere ceo's son living a cushy life. there really was no challenge here.
but looking at him... you feel somewhat sympathetic. you have no respect for those high-class scum who like to hide behind fake smiles and faker compliments. but the kid in front of you was just some irresponsible young adult who just happened to be born into the elite, and well, if he wasn't the son of such a big corporation, he'd probably have gotten away with whatever he did. such was the consequence of having too many eyes on you. maybe it'd make you less worse of a human being if you let this kid air his grievances out.
you sigh, getting up from your spot. "alright, alright, i'll ungag you. just shut up already, jeez." he seems to jostle around less when you say that, and you swiftly untie the cloth to let him talk.
you already know what to expect— teary pleas, desperate bribes, maybe even some angry threats. all these are common in victims and more often than not are you forced to listen to all that shit before you decide to gag them again or just shoot them in the head. so you brace yourself for whatever agonizing scream they might have in store for you.
"ah..."
you grimace. here it comes.
"you're prettier than anything i've imagined..." he tilts his pretty face up, gazing at you with lovestruck eyes under the shine of the harsh light. your shock is mirrored in those loony eyes as his smile widens till it almost splits his face into two,
"...[your name]."
"what the fuck?!" instinctively, you recoil away from him, taking steps back while he continues to pin that heart-eyed stare on you. "what in the–?! how the fuck do you know me?!"
"oh, [your name], is there anything i don't know about you?" this... this freak sighs almost dreamily, and it makes you grimace by how slimy it is. "your name, your occupation (obviously), your favorite drinks, your... heh, three sizes!" he lets out a low giggle. "finally...! to finally see you right in front of my very eyes!"
you blanch. "three...?!" this cannot do. you are being outdone and outsmarted by some rich playboy. clearing your throat, you regain your composure and narrow your eyes at him in a glare (why... why is he shivering?!). "bluffs won't save you from your fate, childe."
you live a life in the shadows. leaving traces of yourself for people to find could spell to be your doom, and yet here was this kid claiming that he knew everything there is to you. it was a laughable attempt at a bluff, and he only caught you offguard by that disgusting grin of his. you're confident enough in your own abilities that you know that no one would be ever able to track you—
"[your name] [last name]. single father, three siblings, but they're all dead. you became a mercenary at age 16 and you go to your headquarters every weekend. you like the cafe at sixth avenue and you order the fourth thing on the menu almost every time." his grin widens when he sees the alarmed expression on your face. "should i tell you more?"
impossible. gritting your teeth, you pull him by his collar, almost tipping his chair over until you catch it with your knee. it... spreads his legs and pushes against his bulge, and you want to scrub yourself clean when you see his red blush and lip-bite. "how the fuck d'you know all that?" you snarl. you shake him. "tell me!"
"because i love you," he says, almost breathless. he looks at you with eyes so full of devotion and obsession that you might believe him. "there's not a single piece of you that i don't love."
you pull your lip back. "you're fuckin' disgusting."
"ah, but!" he wiggles in his chair, his clothes straining against the binds. "you're the one who tied me up like this! all vulnerable and ready for you to torture, right?"
you can't believe this man. "that's how kidnappings go, you idiot!" unable to hold on to this weirdo any longer, you let go of him and he and the chair he's tied to collapse to the floor. it's a nasty fall, but you're too busy rubbing your hands together in some attempt to rid yourself of the germs he may have transferred over to you.
the gasp of delight when he hits the floor grates like metal against your ear, and he squirms when you look down at him with such hate and disgust in those pretty eyes of yours. "is it starting? are you gonna torture me now?" your eyes flit to the array of tools you laid out on the counter, but now you feel reluctant to dirty this man's blood with the tools you painstakingly polished to shine. "ah~ ♡ i wonder what you're gonna do to me! are you gonna cut me up and leave me to bleed? tie me up till it hurts to breathe? ah, [your name] ♡" he calls your name with ecstasy. "i'm so excited to see what you'll do!"
with your back turned towards him and facing the tools, you don't grace him with a reply. instead, you bite your lip, panicked and pale expression reflected in the cold reflection of a knife.
'why me?!' your thoughts scream. 'i've never met this man in my life before!'
'how am i supposed to break someone who's gone too fucking far?!'
Tumblr media
he continues to smile at your back, watching as you contemplate which torture device you'll bless him with for that night.
'so, so cute!' you're shorter than him, but somehow the thought of you dominating him and spilling his blood makes his jeans tighter. 'they're gonna make me go through sooo much pain, i can feel it! they'll have the power to kill me. they might kill me!'
just like that man you shot in that alleyway, eyes staring blankly at the mess of guts and brain splattered against the wall. there was no remorse in your eyes as you wipe the blood off your cheek with the back of your hand. no remorse as you stuff that body into a bag and make a mess all over yourself.
he remembers it clearly. your skintight black bodysuit, how the blood seemed to match your soulless eyes, the peek of tongue as you licked the blood from your thumb— he remembers it all too well.
how could he not, when he had his back pressed to the wall, out of your sight, hand clamped to suppress his noises. not a terrified scream, mind you. but his heavy breaths as he continued to observe you from a distance.
better than an angel. more divine than an angel. you were the reaper itself, stained in blood and black.
and his obsession with that reaper grew, as you revved off with your motorcycle with the corpse in tow, and he lay in the alley shadows with a hand in his jeans and blood at his feet.
if you had looked closely beneath all the money, maybe you'd see one damning clue that would tell you that this commission was a bad idea. a clue stitched at the bottom of the suit, fancy lettering showcasing initials in cursive:
a.c.
ajax childe's grin grows wider when he sees you finally settle on a tool. even when bound up and knocked to the floor, those hungry eyes and crazed grin seem to make him more of a predator than the you holding a knife.

Sweetheart
Summary: Emily and you have had tension for a while, and she's always had a soft spot for you and while at her apartment true feeling come to light.
Word Count: 1.2k
Fluff, slight angst, kissing
Pairings: Emily Prentiss x fem!reader
!NOT PROOFREAD!
Legal but significant age gap
(a/n: omfg this is so shit i'm so sorry)
Emily's pov:
"Wait you like her!?" JJ asked me for the millionth time since I told her since I told her I had a crush on the new agent that joined the team. Her name is Y/n Y/l/n, she's perfect. Her laugh is captivating and simply angelic, she's got such a lovely personality that just pulls me in, and she's so goddamn gorgeous.
"Yes, JJ I like her." I'm starting to think telling her wasn't a good idea.
"Oh you so have to ask her out!" JJ squealed in delight.
"Are you insane!? She's like half my age and my subordinate jayj, I can't do that!" My face starts to heat up just thinking about telling her.
"Okay we'll please, think about it! She definitely likes you back em I promise you that much. Before you even try to argue, have you seen the way she looks at you? She's basically in love!" JJ's smile was infectious, naturally I started smiling as well (and because I can't think about y/n/n and not smile).
"I'll think about it okay? Deal?" She looked happy with that answer as she began to leave my office.
"Oh and JJ please could you get everyone into the meeting room, we have a case." I asked politely.
"Yeah of course." She smiled as she closed the door.
I let out a sigh and actually thought about the deal I had just made. I'm going to have to talk to her before JJ (and most likely Garcia and Tara at this point) get to her first.
I leave my office and go to the round table where everyone is slowly filing in.
"Hello my furry friends, we -clearly- have a case!" Garcia says, her usual chirpy voice echoing through the room. "There has been a serial killer targeting specifically lesbian couples right here in Virginia." Damn. This is going to be a long case.
Time skip to when they've arrived
Reader pov:
Jeez, this case hits way too close to home. Just let us girls love girls. You know?
"Okay, Tara, Rossi you go to the first scene and see what you can find, Derek, JJ and Reid go to the local PD set up and talk to the families, Y/l/n you're with me, we're going to the second scene." Everyone scrambled off to their respective SUV's as we got off the jet.
Just the thought of being alone with Emily was making me nervous. She's so amazing in every way, her smile, her laugh, her nose, her personality. She's perfect. And her hair, the grey hair is doing something to me. But she's my boss and she's older than me and ugh, it'll never happen. Emily always been really close to me though, staying late to help me with paperwork, talks over coffee at lunch, her hand grazing over my back, our fingertips brushing as she hands me a file... I know I'm reading too far into it but I wasn't.
"You ready?" Her soft voice snaps me out of my trance.
"Yeah, I'm ready." I smile at her as we get in the car. I sit down and she looks over at me, making my cheeks flush a light pink.
"You alright?" Emily asked, gently placing her hand on my thigh. My cheeks flush and even deeper red at that simple touch and she seems to cotton on. This is going to be a long day.
"Yea-yeah I'm fine don't even worry" I see her lips pull up into a smirk as we begin to drive, she doesn't show any sign of moving her hand so I just let her be, enjoying the feeling of her warm touch.
Time skip to after the case (cba to write a case sry)
"Hey you." Emily said as she came up behind me and trailed her fingers over my lower back as she came to stand beside me.
"Hey, you okay?" She smiles at me and my knees almost buckle right then and there.
"Yeah I'm okay sweetheart are you?" Oh. My. God. The nickname, you see that puddle on the floor? That's me.
"I'm good." My cheeks flush a crimson colour as she pressed her fingers against my face.
"You're feeling a bit warm, you sure you're okay? Actually don't answer that, you're going to say yes not matter what. You're coming to mine tonight." This wasn't an uncommon occurrence as she's always been protective over me.
"I'm not sick I promise." I say slightly embarrassed because she's the reason my cheeks are so warm.
"Okay but you're still coming to mine, okay?"
"Not gunna argue with that."
"Good, you shouldn't."
We both gather our stuff and get in the car to drive to Emily's.
Time skip to when they're at Emily's
I walk into her apartment and put down my bag, turning to face em.
"What? Do I have something on my face?" She laughed as she spoke.
"No, no. You're fine." I smiled as I shamelessly studied her features, not bothering to hide anymore.
"Honey come on, why are you staring?" She moved closer as she said this holding her hands on my hips and gently guiding me closer to her.
"You're just so beautiful em." I mutter, my breath fanning over her face.
"Oh sweetheart please don't do this to me, I want you so bad but we both know it can't happen. I'm your boss and, I'm so much older than you." She bent forward and placed our foreheads together.
"Emily please-" she interrupts me,
"No love, I want nothing more than to be with you but be realistic. I'll get old faster than you and you'll loose interest and then.." I don't let her finish as I smash my lips onto hers.
My head is spinning as her lips glide over mine in perfect sync. My hand threads through her silver hair and rugs her closet to me, her tongue grazes my bottom lip asking for entrance and I grant her exactly what she wants. Her tongue slips effortlessly into my mouth and she instantly takes control of the kiss. She backs me into a wall and holds one hand on my waist and the other holding my cheek.
We pull away after a while and she still doesn't look like she thinks this can go anywhere.
"Why won't you let me love you?" Tears well up in my eyes, I was trying not to be too emotional but the fact that Emily was denying herself live and happiness because she thought she wasn't good enough broke my heart.
"Oh my love, please don't cry, I'm sorry."
"Don't be sorry, just let me love you em, please."
"Okay."
"Really?"
I pull her into my embrace and she taps the back of my thighs signalling for me to jump. I'm now clinging onto her koala style, still against the wall, and her head is buried in my shoulder, I'm placing tender kisses along her hairline, telling her how much Ill take care of her and how much I love her.
"I love you."
"I love you too sweetheart."

The Neighbor
Pairing: Female reader x Chris Evans
Warnings: Brief mention of masturbation, swear words, mention of sex
Summary: Your incredibly handsome new neighbor Chris Evans moves in across the street, and he’s holding a secret that he doesn’t know if you’ll be able to handle
Check out my other works on my Hall Of Hunks
Part 2
Tumblr media
"You got any plans tonight?" Your friend asked as she made herself a drink.
"Yeah I actually do." She turned to give you a knowing look.
"Reading your dirty books and drinking wine is not plans." She scoffed as you rolled your eyes at her. She knew you all too well. "Let's go out tonight."
"I don't know." You groaned as you plopped down on the couch. Going out wasn't really your type of thing.
"You can touch yourself another night." She joked as you almost choked on your own spit.
"I don't do that." You exclaimed but she just scoffed at your response both you and her knowing that was the furthest thing from the truth.
"Everyone touches themselves Y/N." She gave you a look as she raised an eyebrow up. "It's perfectly normal and healthy."
Your friend had no trouble speaking her mind especially when it came to anything sexual. She literally had no filter and didn't care what she said. That's why you and her became best friends. She was the outgoing and spunky type of person, and you were a little shy and timid. Somehow it just worked out with you two.
"I don't need to do that anyway." Your voice became softer and quieter.
"Masturbation you can say the word out loud you know." She teased you watching you struggled to say the right words.
"Alright let's change the subject." She laughed at your response knowing which buttons to push.
She talked about sex so easily whereas you became flustered and uncomfortable. It wasn't a topic that came to you naturally or easily like it did her. You've had sex before but it was always so vanilla and boring. Which is why you just kind of gave up on the matter. No man being able to make you feel sexy or frisky.
"Okay let's go out tonight." She pressed again as you just sighed out loud. She wasn't going to give up.
"Nope." Popping the p looking at your phone.
"Come on bitch it'll be fun." Walking over to sit next to you.
"You know I don't exactly do well around..people." It was true every time you were around large groups of people you tended to make a fool of yourself. Sometimes unintentionally.
"When was the last time you went out?" She asked you. Looking down at the hands resting on your lap knowing she was right.
"I mean I go out." Shrugging your shoulders trying to dodge the question.
"Bitch please if you go out you go out with me." Laughing into her glass at your failed attempt to prove her wrong. "So like I said when was the last time you went out without me?"
Keeping silent of you started picking at your nails knowing she was right. You pushed yourself to go out more, but it never worked out the way you wanted. That's why you always went out whenever your friend invited you.
"Exactly." She sounded proud that she had a point. You just stuck your tongue out at her. "You only go out when it's with me."
"Well you're my best friend." You shot back but she wasn't buying it.
"Your my best friend too but I go out without you." She was making her case and you hated when she was right.
"Well we're different types of people." You stuttered that was the only thing you could come up with.
"I don't care you are going out tonight and that's final." She wasn't going to let up no matter how hard you tried. She'd drag you out if she had to.
Before you could rebuttal both of you heard what sounded like a big truck pulling up to your house. Getting up you walked over to the front window to see what was going on. Seeing a red Ferrari in the driveway of the house across the street, and a moving truck parking as close to the house as the could.
Immediately recognizing the man who stepped out of the Ferrari. Remembering you had seen him last week to close on the new house. What you really remembered though was just how drop dead handsome this man was. Your friend thinking they same thing too, as she practically was purring at the sight of him.
"Who is that?" She fanned herself making you giggle.
"I have no idea." You shrugged as your eyes remained glued to the man. "I only have seen him once last week."
What you didn't tell her though was how you couldn't get him out of your mind. That everytime you woke up you had hoped you'd see him again. Relying your time on seeing him, and even dolling yourself up a bit and sitting on the front porch hoping he would see you. Of course that didn't happen. Thinking a man like him would never go for a woman like you.
"And you didn't get his name?" She sounded offended and shocked. "I say we go over there and introduce ourselves."
"Are you crazy?" Stepping back to look at her with wide eyes. "We can't just go over there and talk to him."
"Ummm yes we can." She nodded her head not even bothering to look at you. "God he just looks like if sex were a person."
Y/F/N." You exclaimed lightly pushing her shoulder. "He's probably got a girlfriend or is married."
"Only one way to find out then huh?" Wiggling her eyebrows as she made for the front door not waiting for your response.
Following closely behind her as she strutted her way over, and you just kept cursing to yourself. Your nerves getting the better of you the closer you got. Wanting to just turn around and go back in your house to hide. Telling yourself he was going to be creeped out by the two of you, and not want anything to do with you.
Stepping on his driveway as you both stood behind him hearing your footsteps turning around to face the both of you. He looked a little surprised how swiftly you both approached him, but at least he smiled.
"Hi there you must be the new neighbor." She spoke first as you just stood almost behind her.
"How could you tell?" He sarcastically spoke looking as the movers carried boxes into the house.
"Just a hunch." She flirted as she stepped a little closer to him. His eyes focused on her as he would glance at you every once in a while. "I love you car by the way."
"Best purchase I've made." He turned to the shiny sports car that probably cost more than your house.
"Well I love these types of cars." Batting her eyelashes at him knowing she was already going to make her move. Given the fact that he clearly had money was an even bigger bonus for her.
Squinting your eyes as the sun started shining in your face, but that still didn't stop you from staring at him. Focusing on his massive arms as they bulged through his shirt. He was a very fit man, and you could only imagine what he looked like without a shirt.
"You must be the neighbor across from me." Of course he thought she was the one who lived there since he was interested in her.
"Actually I don't live here." She shook her head as a hand grabbed you toward her pull you closer. "But my beautiful friend here does."
"Hi." You waved awkwardly as he smiled so widely he showed off his straight whitened teeth.
"You must be the beautiful friend." Crossing his arms across his chest as his attention was on you now. "Oh the names Chris Evans should probably have said that."
"I'm Y/N and this is my friend Y/F/N." Introducing yourself his eyes not leaving yours.
"Well it's nice to meet you both." Coughing subtly as he realized he was just staring at you.
"The pleasure is all ours." Hearing as she deepened her voice. Trying to hold in the giggle that was bubbling in your throat.
"We're having a pool party tonight if you'd like to come." Your friend blurted at as you snapped your head to her.
"You have a pool?" He sounded excited and all you could do was just nod your head unable to find your voice.
"Oh yeah she has pool parties all the time." She continued on and you just turned to glare at her. "They are always a blast."
"She does look like a wild one." He winked at you feeling your cheeks starting to burn from embarrassment.
"I am not." You chuckled looking as innocent as you possibly could. He'd figure out real quick how shy and timid you exactly were.
"Oh yeah trust me Chris she's an animal." Placing an arm around your shoulder as he pulled you in flush against her. "She loves her pool parties."
"Can't say no to a pool party." He smirked already feeling himself getting hard at the thought of you in a bikini. "Any excuse to take these clothes off."
You weren't sure if he was just making those kinds of comments on accident, or if he was blatantly saying those things to get you all flustered. Either way he seemed like a guy that wasn't shy when it came to anything. He was definitely making you nervous.
"It'll start around eight you can just come in through the fenced gate the door will be unlocked." Not stuttering as she clearly made up this party at the last second. "You can bring your own food or liquor if you want."
"Yeah I might just have to make an appearance." Smiling as he glanced back at you as you returned the gesture then looking down at your feet.
"Okay then we'll see you tonight hopefully." Both of you started slowly walking backwards as you waved goodbye.
"What the fuck was that?" You grumbled as you both turned around heading back to your house. Chris still standing there looking as you walked away.
"What?" Looking at you with an innocent look damn well knowing what she was up to.
"A pool party?" You questioned her wondering how you were gonna be able to put together a pool party at last minute. "What happened to going out tonight?"
"Well fuck that we're having a pool party now." Stepping back into your house as you slammed your door shut. "So I'll gather a list of people to call and you just get the pool ready."
"I don't really feel like hosting a party tonight." Groaning at the thought of having tons of people in your house and then having to clean up.
"Oh babe you won't be hosting this party I will." She stated as you just raised an eyebrow at her. "You just need to focus on getting it in with the hot new neighbor."
"I'm not just gonna have sex with someone that I just met." You protested and she just rolled her eyes at you. "No matter how good looking he is."
"Drink enough and you will." She winked as she started going through her phone finding people to invite.
"I'm not that type of girl." You argued back not backing down.
"You need some good dick in your life." Stating her case as she gave you a certain look. "You'd be surprised what good sex will do to you."
"Then why don't you just have sex with him?" You joked but in all reality you started to feel a little jealous as you said that out loud.
"Please bitch I already get good dick you need it more than me." Unsure if you should be offended at her choice of words or thankful she was letting you have him. "Either way it's too late it's already been done."
It wasn't enough for her on pushing you to go out tonight, but now she had invited your incredibly attractive new neighbor to a last minute pool party at your house. Thank god she was your best friend otherwise you'd be super pissed at her. At least she was trying to help you find someone even if it was just a fling.
"Alright I'm gonna head to the liquor store, and bring you one of my bathing suits." Grabbing her purse as she got out her car keys.
"I already have a bathing suit." You defended.
"Yeah nothing sexy enough." She shook her head as she scrunched her nose.
"What do you mean not sexy enough?" Placing your hands on your hips as you glared at her offended. "You want me to just go nude?"
"Now there's an idea." Placing a finger under her chin as she seriously thought about it.
"I'm joking." Belting out a laugh as she saw the horror written across your face. "Okay bye bitch I'll be back later."
Shutting the door behind you as you stood there not knowing what to do now. Well looks like you were having a pool party at your house that your best friend made up, and your hot new neighbor Chris might be coming. This wasn't going to end badly at all.

Got any super duper cleansing magical tips?
hell yeah I do brother (nongendered)!
this is just kinda how I do things and people definitely have different opinions but here we go, in no particular order:
If at all possible, physical cleaning is going to go a lonnnnng way towards magical cleansing. Even a little cleaning helps. If we're discussing cleansing something big (like, an entire person, a room, or an entire home), there may also be "key points" which deliver the most cleansing returns if physically cleaned. For example, a human person may find that their spiritual cleansing is very much aided by washing of hands, feet, and face - even if they can't fit in a whole body scrub.
Likewise, certain areas within a room may hold more influence than expected. A certain shelf, bookcase, or corner may alleviate the room of much badness if they alone are tidied and dusted.
In the home overall, look for major thoroughfare areas (perhaps near the front door or kitchen) which have little corners that have gone too far untidied, perhaps sticky with dust.
When it comes to objects, even a little wash, rinse under soapy water, wiping down with a damp cloth, and so forth, can go a long way towards magical cleansing. Often I do not magically "cleanse" at all, as a normal clean suffices for me in most situations.
I don't find physical cleaning to be totally necessary for magical cleansing, but it can be very helpful both as a first step, and to tackle stubborn cleansing problems.
Speaking of physical cleaning, home cleaning recipes also tend to work well for magical cleansing. A little vinegar is a very strong cleansing agent. Steep some lemon and rosemary in that vinegar for a few weeks, and forget about it - that's both a general household cleaner, and it'll cleanse the shit out of your magic stuff, too.
Ammonia is regarded to be an immensely powerful magical cleanser - one that must be heavily diluted, and tends to strip not only negative influences, but positive ones too.
Early on in my education, I was advised that a bit of bleach can go a long way towards destroying magical bonds. So, don't discount the household chemical cabinet.
For the own self, applying bleach or ammonia directly to the skin simply doesn't do - but a very gentle shower scrub containing a bit of salt, plus various kitchen herbs (dealer's choice - try sage and rosemary to start with) goes a long way. Wash from top of head to bottom of feet, and don't forget the back of the neck.
Other mundane things, like filling a space with fresh air or good vibes, are useful in cleansing in general, but may not suffice in heavy-duty situations.
A very fine cleansing charm is created with saltwater, this being from Paul Huson's rhyme in Mastering Witchcraft:
Water and Earth Where you are cast Let no spell, nor ill intention last Not in complete accord with me As my word, so shall it be
My personal lazy modification for the use of incense:
Fire and Air Where you flare Let no spell, nor ill intention last Not in complete accord with me As my word, so shall it be
Speak this over a little bit of salt water (after mixing) or incense (after lighting) and then sprinkle/wave it all about the thing to be cleansed. To be done when physically cleaning did not suffice, or when physical cleaning is not possible, or when feeling a bit fancy, or when preferring to just do magic.
In cases of emergency, or when it's desired to strip all magic and influence away from a thing, put it inside a plastic bag and bury it completely in salt. Seal this entire thing up (ziplocks are under the purview of true magicians) and then cover it up in a black cloth (or inside-out black graphic t-shirt, or oatmeal gray pillowcase, or whatever's on hand - doesn't matter really) in the back of the closet for 3 days and 3 nights, or until you feel like dealing with it.
When retrieved, the object should have no magical influence on it whatsoever.
In cases of confusing or unsatisfying results, consider if "cleansing" is really the action you should take. For example, if a tool is acting up and producing bad results, it might not be because it's "dirty." It could be that the tool needs to be fed. It could be interference from an ancestor looking for attention. It could be because your technique needs an adjustment.
Cleansing is a fine first step, and it's probably not going to hurt anything, but it's kind of like the "have you tried turning it off and on again" of magic. A lot of the times it fixes a lot of problems, but it's not going to fix actual issues that require a mechanic. (The good news is, the mechanic is you, so you're going to save a lot on repair fees)
In advanced cases, consider why things cleanse the way they do, and employ this to your advantage. Rosemary and frankincense may be considered to be "cleansing" because they "raise the vibes" and create an atmosphere incompatible with a lot of heavy bullshit. But, neither of these Allies are really attack dogs (at least, not in my experience).
Clove and Jalapeno are "cleansing" in that they will take the offending energy out behind the woodshed and teach it a lesson, and tell it not to come back to town or else. But, in my experience, neither of these allies really elevate a space with the heavenly touch of more celestial Allies.
So while I would say the average "cleansing formula" (whether it be a vinegar, an incense, and so forth) works in most situations, from time to time a more nuanced approach is helpful. Like a stubborn little stain, difficult-to-cleanse energies aren't necessarily powerful or bad - they're just nonreactive with whatever formula you're trying to use.

Overanalyzing King's POV
Part 2
Link to Part 1
Let's talk about Adoption
So Kiane adopted Mertyl and it's pretty obvious that it's a kept secret and that only a few people know the truth. Which is fine, in adoption parents tend to keep it a secret until the child is ready and prepared to know the truth.
And here's the deal, if King and Diane were just a normal Fairy and Giant couple that's all they have to worry about, but that's not the case here. King is the well the King and Diane is the Queen, they're royals and I don't think the fairies would be too pleased to know that their first prince is actually a human oh and not just any human. The human that was switched with their actual fairy prince.
Realistically, if Kiane we're to have told Mertyl that he's adopted. He'll still be in same situation, probably even worse. Fairies are already on his case, questioning his relation to Kiane. "Are you really their kid?" "You don't look like them at all!" Just imagine if Mertyl being their adopted kid is common knowledge. Their quips would be worse and would hurt Mertyl more. Kiane is trying to protect Mertyl from this, that's why they kept it from everybody.
Tumblr media
At least now, yes they say these things to Mertyl but they acknowledge him as their prince because that's what they've been told and that's how he acts. They're actually really cool with Mertyl it's just to them, Mertyl is weird looking. So, even if the truth were to come out it wouldn't matter to them cause yes Mertyl is human but he's still Mertyl he's still their prince.
Now, why didn't Kiane tell Mertyl anything even though it's been 18 years. Cause Mertyl isn't ready yet, I mean based on Diane's expressions she knows that this secret is long overdue but in a way they can't do it cause it'll only break Mertyl.
Mertyl has always been insecure about himself and Kiane is trying to make him feel secure, shower him with love and affection in the best ways they could so that even if the truth would come out Mertyl knows that his parents loves him literally no matter what.
Tumblr media
And they've done this, as shown in Mertyl's flashback but Mertyl still feels the way he does.
In a world where Mertyl is secure in his place, that he knows the love that his parents, siblings and everyone has for him. There will be no conflict between him and Nasiens. In this world Mertyl would actually feel happy that Nasiens is at their doorstep and would actually help and guide Nasiens into learning about their true identity.
Unfortunately, that's not the case here.
Mertyl saw King gave the Drug of Yore to Nasiens. Now this scene is just filled to the brim with misunderstangs that my only hope is for Sixtus to use his brain and talk it out with his pops.
Mertyl felt betrayed at this moment. This is his worst nightmare came to life.
There's this medicine that in his mind can cure him, can help him and Sixtus reassured him saying that their father is a kinder King than anyone out there and he'll give it to him.
Tumblr media
Notice the phrasing here, they know their father's responsibilities as King, they can differentiate between his two roles. Yes, he's their father and he'll do anything for them but he's also the Fairy King, a being that has immense responsibilities and power. They're aware that there are some things that he can't do for them because he's the Fairy King.
Tumblr media
But there he saw, his father giving the very thing he came there to ask for to Nasiens just like that. This is the ultimatum for him, so he ran off. Without knowing the full truth behind his father's actions.
Then, we have Nasiens, I love you but baby you kinda messed up on this one. He just jumped to his assumption here.
When King gave the drug, Nasiens refused and claimed that he's rather cruel for letting him run around and make medicine for Percy and fail everytime for the past 2 years only to give this to him now and argued that he should have given it to Mertyl.
Granted, Nasiens doesn't know that Mertyl is human so I guess good on you for having Mertyl's back. But Nasiens you can't just assume these things without knowing the full story, let the man explain. Regardless of King's reasons (I already made a post about it check it out if you wanna know my thoughts) in my eyes he made the thoughest decision a father could ever make here.
At this very moment, King is letting Nasiens go.
Tumblr media
King knows what Nasiens is here for and he knows that the moment Percy wakes up they'll leave. King and Diane have suspected and confirmed to themselves that Nasiens is their kid. But Nasiens doesn't really need them, he's fine, he has friends that cares for him, he has hopes and aspirations, he grew up to be such a great person. To King, seeing Nasiens the way they are now and being able to take care of him for 2 years and help him with his goal, that is more than enough. King is letting Nasiens go because he knows that Mertyl needs them the most.
And here's the thing, I have a huge feeling that King decided on this a long time ago, that's why he didn't explicitly tell Nasiens anything for 2 years. And look at King's face here, he seems content, happy even.
King is willing to let Nasiens go without even saying that he's their father, without saying that they're family, without a hug, without a good heart to heart, not even a chance to hear the word Father from them, without any closure. None of that. Because King chose Mertyl
King chose Mertyl cause that's his son
King chose Mertyl despite the fact that he has finally found his firstborn
This is a sacrifice he's willing to make because that's how much King loves Mertyl

my first time ever writing for higuruma, and i'm not too satisfied w/ this + higu seemed ooc as well, i'm sorry :") trying to practice writing him more in the future! 💜🌻
. dividers by @/cafekitsune !! 🌻
Tumblr media
And one more maple leaf fell to the hard ground. You bend over to pick it up, and examine it more closely with a small smile upon your features.
Just a day left before the year changes. You stood there underneath the shady tree, as if you were contemplating with your pool of thoughts. You aren't ready to leave this year behind, yet you're just glad and grateful that you're able to experience this moment of time and place.
"Ah, the leaf looks rather nice." Higuruma breaks the brief silence between the both of you, not knowing what other words to say at the same time. "And it's almost time for a new year too."
You simply gave him a warm look and a nod, then returned your attention to the leaf that was still in your fingers.
Higuruma returned the look that you gave him as a sudden question occurs to him, which feels completely natural on its' own.
"Have you thought of any wishes for the upcoming year yet?" He feels curious all of a sudden; also wanting to try to initiate any conversation with you as possible.
"Mm nope!" You shook your head, "Not yet at least."
"How about you?"
Higuruma hums for a bit; now standing not too far from where you are, but still keeping a reasonable distance between you two. "Well, if I'm being honest, I haven't really given it much thought as well."
"But if I really had to pick one, it might be something like, trying to spend more time with the people that I actually care about."
He stops just about there, not knowing what to say next. But also leaving you some room for whatever you wanted to say.
"Ah, that's nice then!" You nodded with an understanding look, before sending him a smile once again.
"So like, does that mean you're going to find any potential partner for the upcoming year?"
He snorts a bit in a lighthearted manner, obviously didn't mind your question. "I guess I've been so focused on my work that I really haven't thought about having any relationship.."
"It's almost frightening how fast the years have gone by, and how little time that I actually had for myself."
"Working, solving cases, paperworks.. I sometimes find myself thinking about how nice it would be to have someone to come home to at the end of the day."
"And yet when the evening arrives, I'm usually already way too exhausted." He shrugs with signs of acceptance in his expression. "Maybe I'm just not meant to be with anyone."
"Don't say that-- it's not true." You shook your head with a small sigh, partly disagreeing with his words. "Although I would agree with you; it's really nice to have someone that's actually waiting for you at the end of the day."
He nodded, fixing his attention on the existing lake being displayed ahead of you two. Just by the mere thought causes him to feel the temporary loneliness lingering within him, but quickly tries to brush off his thoughts.
It's seemingly pointless to ponder on such stuff, especially right now.
"I do wish the same for you though."
Higuruma gives you a light chuckle before adding up to the previous statement, "And who knows; maybe it'll be a tall, handsome man of your dreams."
You grinned widely at his rather corny remark while shaking your head amusingly. "Hmm.." With your eyes narrowing slightly in a mischievous manner, you shift your gaze to him.
“I suppose you got a point."
He merely nodded while looking everywhere else but you. You wonder what's running through his mind right now.
"But to be frank, I did found the one. I just didn't know if she would return the same feelings as I do for her, y'know."
And as he tells you, a small smile appears on his face. He wasn't looking at you when you did, so you kept on staring with a rather curious look.
You try not to get your hopes up, and you gotta admit that your heart did sting when he said those words.
You just needed a direct confirmation in a way, that is if he wanted to do so. You can't even tell what your own mind is blabbering about right now.
"I never knew when the moment would be right, even though I've been friends with her for quite some time now."
"But then again, who would love someone as busy as me?" It came off as more of a realization himself if anything. And even though the said person didn't have the same feelings as he did-- he'll be fine with it, and he won't stop loving her no matter what.
It took a while, but you eventually came out with a reply. "You're wrong," and this made him turn his gaze back to yours once more.
"How about this--" you began to suggest an idea to him, "--why don't you just try to go for it? It's better to confess as soon as you can than never."
God, you didn't even know why you would say anything as such if it only leads to your impending mental destruction, yet you still did it anyway.
But as long as he's happy; then you're happy for him as well. It's just how it works.
“You really think I should?"
His dark-coloured eyes focused on you alone, as if to try to let your words sink into his mind. The attorney let the idea weigh down a bit. "Won't that be too sudden?"
"I mean, if you really have feelings for her, then I guess you should." You encouragingly nod at him, trying not to act nosy on who he's actually referring to. It could hurt you more when you know that someone, especially when it's not you.
And of course, your words made him rethink the possible decision that he might finally make after all this time; trying to get into his own finalised conclusion.
“I guess I'll have to try."
"Do wish me luck then."
"Good luck!" You beamed at him-- or at least, tried to, and thought he would leave elsewhere afterward. But no, he remained in his previous spot as he seemed to be contemplating something more.
"You know, the woman I liked-- she's just amazing." Higuruma smiles to himself, much to your slight confusion as to why he would tell you such a thing. Not that you minded much, you suppose.
"Compassionate, honest, beautiful. I can just go on for hours talking about her."
When he realises your answers become way less and not even bother to look at him in the eye, he pushes himself to ask you something further.
"I'm curious though."
"Out of everything that I told you so far, did anyone cross your mind at least?" You somehow missed the mischievous glint that was present within that moment, temporarily distracted by some people who passed by the other side of the lake.
"I don't know..?" You paused for a second, "Was it Sakiko?"
A random guess, but worth a shot. The attorney has his eyes widened slightly and unexpectedly, before his lips cracking more into an amused grin.
"Sakiko? No, not her." He tells you that with a voice full of confidence, and with your even more perplexed expression, along with eye contact helps him more.
"I was honestly talking about you the entire time."
Now, it's your turn to be baffled-- eyes widening slightly at his unexpected statement. "I-I'm sorry?"
This isn't what you're expecting at all, and suddenly you feel dumb for your own thoughts from before. Higuruma lets his stare linger upon your form for much longer; a smile still present.
"I know this might sound sudden--"
"-- But yes, I was actually referring to you." The attorney confirms all of your suspicions with ease. Higuruma has nothing much to fear, not anymore.
"Oh, well-- I didn't expect that actually." With the clear of your throat, you tried your best to keep your composure despite your flustered expression at the realisation slowly unravelling itself before you.
"I really thought you meant someone else.."
Higuruma chuckles once again, finding your current state rather endearing. If anything, he adores it.
Slowly, but surely, he takes a few steps closer to you, cupping your cheek tenderly with one of his hands. You stayed frozen at your spot, still trying to process the whole situation that's unfolding at the very moment.
"I'm merely being honest when I said all of those words."
"That's just like, a few of them. Because if I were to try to list every trait of yours that I genuinely adore--" He gazes into your eyes; a look that's filled with genuine warmth and a look that seems to be piercing straight into your soul, yet comfortingly so. "-- it would be endless."
Your face is just straight-up heating at this point, while your heart is beating wildly against your ribcage upon the proximity that you both shared. You would've melted if you could.
It's just so sweet. He's trying to take his time to properly confess to you.
"Do you have any idea how badly I've wanted to tell you those words?" His voice, barely a whisper, continued on with a soft caress on your cheek.
"But I was afraid back then."
"I didn't want to ruin anything-- our friendship, that we have built together."
“But you somehow gave me the strength to do so. I needed it so much."
Finally regaining your own composure and processing his words, you gazed at him still, with an affectionate look of your own. The way you smiled up at him-- God, he feels like he falls in love with you all over again.
"I'm actually glad that you did."
"So now, I don't have to hide my feelings for you too." And it oddly sounds easier admitting out those words right now; the words flowing out of your mouth ever so naturally as possible than before.
“Really?" He chuckled lightly, still holding onto you. "You've been waiting for me too?"
The leaves from the tree continued to fall toward you both, but none of you bothered to pay any attention to it-- and so did the passersby from afar.
With newfound enthusiasm, you nodded with a grin that’s now plastered on your features beautifully. The feeling of utter relief is so real for the both of you-- and the feeling just blooms even more when he wraps both of his strong arms around your form, and places his forehead against yours.
He looks extremely content, and it's such a pleasing sight to see because he's been so preoccupied with his work ( and thoughts of you ) as per usual these days so often.
But knowing that he won't have to spend the upcoming new year alone without a partner anymore-- with the woman he loves so dearly, it's all worth it in the end.

Roleplay Tips: "Actionable Responses"
We have all experienced, or will at some point in the future, a thread that feels like it is going nowhere. It's that feeling of reluctance to pull up the draft, of realizing it's the third or so time of experiencing dread when you see that other person respond.
You're bored with the thread. That, or you want to continue and just can't seem to think of what to do next!
There are a number of reasons why this can happen, but one of the most common ones is a lack of an actionable response from your partner. In most cases, deciding to wrap up the thread is the best thing to suggest...but most of us are just too "polite" to do that, huh? 😉But that's a post for another time.
So, what is an actionable response? Simply put, it's a reply to a thread that manages to give direction to your partner. This has NOTHING to do with matching length of post! It's just a matter of being aware that this is a collaborative effort.
Here's an example:
Character A: "I think we should invite our friends out to a party." Character B: "That's a great idea!" Character A: "It'll be a formal party. I'm going to work on the invitations tonight. I'll really go all out and make it fancy!" Character B: "Oh, I can't wait to see what you come up with! I'll be sure to wear the red dress I got over the weekend." Character A: "I'm sure it looks stunning on you. I don't know what I'm going to wear yet. I think I need to figure out the venue and the details first." Character B: "You are going to knock it out of the park! You're always so good at organizing everything!"
So, what happened? The conversation above isn't bad! However, there was "burden" placed on the writer of Character A each time. The writer of B has responded each time in similar length, but gives A little to no idea how to continue the conversation. Each reply made it the responsibility of the writer of A to come up with the direction for the conversation. Here's the breakdown:
A: Starts with the opening prompt (the party)
B: Agrees with idea
A: Elaborates on prompt
B: Enthuses about prompt, brings up new subject (dress)
A: Compliments B, brings up new subject (uncertainty)
B: Reassures A
Sometimes your character requires noncommittal responses, and this is OK to do once in awhile! But think about this in real life: If you met someone who was only this reactive to your comments and never really asked about you or your actions... Wouldn't it get a bit exhausting to talk with them? At the very least, they would appear polite but uninterested, and interactions would tend to be short.
Here's a better example for the above, one with actionable responses from B.
Character A: "I think we should invite our friends out to a party." Character B: "That's a great idea! Which friends, though? The ones from work or school?" Character A: "Why not both? I think it'd be cool to combine our social groups. Unless you think they wouldn't get along…?" Character B: "Well, you know how wild I get around Stacy on the dance floor. I wouldn't want it to reflect bad on my performance review …" Character A: "That's true, you two can get pretty unhinged. But I was thinking of theming it up to be more of a formal party. Like, make fancy invitations and everything!" Character B: "Oh, that sounds amazing! And less likely I'll start twerking, although the possibility isn't zero. Do you need any help with the invitations? Or anything else?" Character A: "I should have the invitations under control, but I'd love it if you could brainstorm the decorations. I want to go for a vintage 1950's vibe." Character B: "I am already making a Pinterest. This is going to be great! Oh, and I just bought the cutest red dress that'll work perfectly for the theme! Do you know what you want to wear? We can go window shopping later if you want!" Character A: "That would be great! Do you have pics of the dress?"
The above interaction isn't just more equal in engagement, its flow and dialogue is far more natural and prompts more detailed responses! Here's the breakdown for this one:
A: Starts with the opening prompt (the party)
B: Responds asking for more details, prompting a new subject (guest list)
A: Answers, asks for B's opinion
B: Answers, brings up a third party that A can comment on
A: Makes a comment, but chooses not to pursue subject at length; brings up new point of discussion (formal party)
B: Gives opinion, offers help
A: Accepts help, provides further prompt details (party theme)
B: Gives opinion, offers up another subject of clothing, offers up potential next direction/goal of thread (shopping)
There is a lot more "work" involved on both sides in the above example. And this is just with dialogue alone -- using descriptors and physical actions (i.e B could pull up their phone and show A the photos of their dress, or A could have started to playfully mock imitate B's dancing) also gives the other character something to respond to. This works great for Muses who canonically don't say much or are generally quiet in certain scenarios!
The ultimate goal of writing Actionable Responses is to share the responsibility of the scene, so that one writer doesn't feel burdened with directing everything and eventually associate your threads with fatigue, even subconsciously. Communication also plays a big part, too! Your responses may be actionable, but if the other writer isn't picking up any of them, it's time to pause the thread and communicate ooc and see what's up!
"Oh no! I realized I don't write a lot of Actionable Responses! Does that mean I'm a bad writer/horrible person? Do all my partners secretly hate me? Is this why I don't get any responses?"
NO. Realizing the above only means you're learning something new right now, and it is up to you if you want to employ the above suggestions or not. This thread is not meant to shame people -- it is meant to educate, and maybe even put into words what other writers feel, so that they can share and point to it when they feel responsibility is unbalanced in a thread.

Oh lovely, the transandrophobic "trans inclusive" rad/ical feminis/ts are now calling te/rfs "twerfs" (trans woman exclusive radi/cal femin/ists).
Hey, you know how terfs "soured" a lot of people on genuine, intersectional feminism?
You're just them but trans, regardless of your gender. You're JK Rowling and Dave Chappelle in blue white and pink. You're writing essays on the evil predatory (trans) men invading (trans) women's spaces and mutilating their bodies with testosterone and cutting off perfectly healthy organs and rejecting the only good gender as traitors.
That last part is just verbatim, even.
Add trans in front of the genders in any transphobe's horrific ranting and you get your own posts. You're cruel, you're class traitors, you're feds in binders and gaffs too pathetic to even demand pay for the work you're doing for our oppressors.
Trans unity means I never give up fighting for your rights, even as you're throwing them to the wolves just for a taste of what it feels like to have your boot on someone else's throat. You justify it because of who you say has faced the "worst" pain, has been hurt the "most" by (trans)misogyny, because don't you know that women have the right to speak over any other marginalized person on their own oppression because only women really know what it's like to be oppressed?
Merlin's unwashed nutsack, do you fuckers even hear yourselves? You're indistinguishable from ter/fs!
Yeah, I'll keep fighting, because I can understand that even the most sniveling narcs who think they're "saving" people by betraying them, even the people radicalized enough that they actually believe in the bullshit they're spreading, don't deserve oppression.
Quite frankly, this post isn't FOR them, no matter how much it's worded like it is, because rage is not a tool of deradicalization and I refuse to judge even bigots every bit as taken in as your average Jehovah's witness or Amish person for doing harm while being victims of the group they're doing harm for.
(All the same, the accusations of trans people being indoctrinated and taken in by "MRA shit" are not only blatant projection, but also in the rare cases that they are true, pale in comparison to the quantity and scope of harm done by this actual significant growing group of radicalized trans people .)
Since I've mainly seen people with some form of "baeddel", who call people "transandrophobia truthers" or "transandrodorks" doing this, perhaps people need a reminder that baeddels were a group who took that name themselves (after it had fallen out of usage for several hundred years, claiming they were "reclaiming" it) who did a shit ton of harm to transmascs, nonbinary people, intersex people, and transfems.
These trans-woman "inclusive" radic/al fem/inists who actually are dangerous and violent towards every transfem that doesn't agree with you. TWIRFs are not a fucking joke. And to be exceedingly clear, there's a reason I hyphenated trans-woman in the acronym spelled out, because it's an adjective modifying inclusive; trans people of every gender make up "twirfs".
There's a decent chance they'll either take "twirfs" and wear it like a badge of honor, like some t/erfs do, or claim it's a slur, like... oh, like some terf/s do. I've read the playbook, and if there's a play I haven't laid out, I'm sure it'll be just as uninspired and plagiarized from te/rfs. But who knows, maybe they'll come up with something new and horrific and surprise us - every so often, ter/fs do that too.
Anyway, if you see this post and wanna tell me, an intersex transneufemmasc, what a horrible awful transmisogynist I am for acknowledging all forms of oppression I face and not just the single one I share with most of you, fuck off and block me. I've got no time for the usual suicide baiting, florid violent fantasies of me being raped and/or tortured and/or killed, and the like.
Besides, while you are fucking dangerous, I've got worse danger to deal with than you on a daily basis, for being a visibly genderqueer fat disabled person in a place where everything from gender roles to medicine is stuck in the 18-fucking-hundreds. I truly do not have time for your bullshit.

Sixteenth Day Event Prompt:
Antfrost & Bad - Bread
Thank you for the prompt, @sixteenth-day-event this was a lot of fun! :D
_________________ The door to the house was not locked. It was never locked these days. Sometimes, Ant came by and found it wide open even. Sighing, he pushed it open, calling out.
"Bad!" There was no immediate answer, but Ant didn't worry yet. His friend could be anywhere in the house, and some of those rooms were far enough that sound wouldn't carry too well. "Bad, I'm here!"
Still no answer. Ears twitching, Ant set down his weapons at the entrance, and kicked the door closed.
"Bad, you're home?" He called again.
This time, he could make out something clattering. Twitching, Ant turned towards the sound. It came from-
"Ant? Is that you?" Bad's voice came, distant and muffled. "I'm in the kitchen!"
Ant let his shoulders drop in relief. Bad sounded awake, and even in a cheery mood. And if he was in the kitchen...
Hope, cautious and fragile, lit within Ant's heart as he padded deeper inside the house.
Soon, the smell became obvious, and Ant's hope grew.
"You're baking!" He exclaimed, the moment he came into the kitchen.
"Hello to you too, muffinhead," Bad said, shaking a finger towards him. Or so Ant assumed - Bad was wearing stupidly bright pink oven mits. "Don't sound so surprised, I bake all the time!"
No, Ant almost said, before biting on his tongue to prevent the sound to come out. Bad used to bake all the time. That wasn't the case any longer. He'd stopped when the egg had taken control, months ago.
Nowadays, even free from it, Bad hadn't taken up the habit again.
Except, it seemed, he just had.
"Sure, yeah, true," Ant said awkwardly, instead of pointing that out. He cleared his throat, "Anyway, Bad, your door was open again, you know you should lock it-"
"Ah, this again," Bad said, and waved his hand. "It's fine! Who's going to rob me? I have nothing more than anyone else. Besides, they could just break a window."
"It's the principle of the thing!" Ant argued, for what must have been the thousandth time. "Doesn't it feel safer to have it closed?"
Bad pressed his lips tight, for one short moment, before shrugging as if it wasn't important at all. He gave Ant a carefree smile.
It looked forced.
"I like it open," he said.
Ant opened his mouth to retort, but found he couldn't. This, he realized way too late, was another one of those landmines that he and Bad, and all the others that used to be in the Eggpire, were now dancing around. Trying not to touch.
Just because Ant couldn't understand why leaving the door unlocked was important for Bad's peace of mind didn't mean it wasn't.
"Sorry," he said, after a moment. "I didn't- I can't sleep with my door open."
"Oh," Bad said, and then, softer, "No, I'm sorry. I know you worry. I just-" He paused, and gave a wan smile. "Skeepy forgot his keys, when he left."
Oh.
That- That made sense. Ant nodded silently, and looked around. Bad had removed a lot of the previous decoration. The banners and the paintings and the potted plants. The house always seemed so bare these days. Ant wondered sometimes if the color red brought back as many memories for Bad as it did for him.
He never could ask.
Instead, he looked at the oven.
"So, uh, what are you baking?" He asked. And then, trying for cheeky, "Can I steal some?"
"It's not stealing if I give you some, silly," Bad said, and then said, almost hesitantly, "It's nothing special anyway. Just bread. Plain, uh, wheat flour bread."
Ant hummed, watching his friend. Watching the way he kept fidgeting with the oven mitt. He still looked so tired, under the cheerfulness.
"Well, that's fine, I'm sure it'll be delicious," Ant said easily, and hopped onto the counter. He smiled at Bad, "I don't even know how to make bread. You could teach me?"
Bad startled, then gave Ant a hopeful smile. Which was just stupid. Ant visited every week. But maybe- Ant now realized he never crossed path with anyone else. Maybe Bad was really lonely. Just as Ant felt.
"You'd like to learn?" Bad asked.
"Sure," Ant said. "Yeah!" He paused for a second, then decided, why not. "Actually, I've been meaning to learn to bake, in general. Not just bread, but cake too. And you know, Niki isn't around much these days..."
"No, no, I can teach you, I can teach you," Bad said, smiling. "I'd love to."
"Alright," Ant smiled back. "Sounds fun."

hii bee! can i request n25 with a reader thats like a older sibling to them?
Hi hi! Of course you can! I finally did some headcanons this time and omg it was do long since I did them but I think it was still kinda good! Anyway, hope you like it ^^
Tumblr media
♡˗ˏ✎*ೃ˚ 𝕆𝕝𝕕𝕖𝕣 𝕤𝕚𝕓𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕘 ₊˚ˑ༄
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ Kanade, Mafuyu, Ena, Mizuki with older sibling alike!reader
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ platonic
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ @bleachtheidiot @prsk-krow @badwhole @hearts4gf @modyuki @hakulivesformusic @no1mizukifan
Tumblr media Tumblr media
✧ Kanade's not used to being taken care of so when you did, she was more than surprised
✧ it takes her some time to get used to but that's what she needs and maybe with your help, she won't have to carry all this burden alone
✧ she'd see you as a parental figure if not the fact you're almost the same age as her... so she sees you as a older sibling figure instead!
✧ but naturally siblings are not only just care and protection... so once you start being more silly and tease her, she's surprised yet again but doesn't make big deal out of it
✧ whenever you tease her, she'll just nod, admitting it's true with faint blush on her cheeks
✧ she definitely talked with niigo about you or even introduced you to them!
✧ you also have spare keys to her house, just in case
✧ now not only Honami comes to take care of her...
✧ first time you scolded her for bad lifestyle, she stayed put and you could even have traumatized this girl a bit...
✧ she still lives like she does but now also tries to take care of herself more as to not upset you
"Yes, I did ate today. And only one meal contained noodles... yes, I know it's 9am... sorry... I'll eat cereal next time..."
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
Tumblr media
✧ Mafuyu made sure to keep her good girl act all of the time, in fact she treated you like her mother if anything
✧ that's when your caring side started to mix with constant teasing...
✧ she started treating you more like a good friend and the more time you spent together, the more chances of her revealing her real self to you
✧ once she does, it's clear she needed it and there's no room for any teasing so you better show her only care
✧ she starts to value your opinion more than anyone's (though her mom's opinion is still slightly more important to her...)
✧ you technically have lots of power in your hand and if you spend enough time with her, you may be just the key she needs to break from her mother
✧ but let's focus on Mafuyu only! As for your teasing... she doesn't really get it at first, in fact she'll be completely blunt about it and just agree
✧ looking that you're probably older than her but not too old, she'll often go to you for help with school and it also works as good excuse to make her mom let go of her
✧ it usually ends on you two hanging out more than studying but you or her can't complain! After all everyone deserves a bit of break and she's no exception
"I believe you. I'll... try to do something with that... thanks for sharing your opinion with me. I'll most definitely keep it in mind."
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
Tumblr media
✧ Ena was usually the older sister so it was definitely a nice surprise for someone caring about her for once
✧ though you definitely made her feel insecure a bit... you're so great to her and yet she's the one treating her little brother badly... (but she'd never admit it)
✧ you could definitely catch her blushing first time you were so caring towards her
✧ but when you started teasing her about it... she stops being all nice and kind towards you and will show her tsundere side eventually
✧ expect her to remember your teasing. Because she'll most definitely come with revenge!
✧ maybe it'll even become a friendly game of yours! Unless you're the type to take slight teasing with no problem and even come with comeback... then she'll be more salty most of the time...
✧ in the end, you're probably the only person that she trusts so if she's feeling down, you're the person she'll usually reach out to!
✧ if you want to help her with her anger issues than go on because you're the one she'll let to do it! But be aware that this won't be an eyes way
"Oh shut it already!! I'm not getting soft for anyone! It's just your imagination! ... Sorry for yelling..."
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
Tumblr media
✧ Mizuki has older sibling themselves so they began to see the similiarities from the very beginning of your relationship
✧ they'll immidietly develop a soft spot for you and trust you easier since you remind them of their sibling so much!
✧ they may not even notice it when they start looking for your praise in everything they do
✧ they also often look up for spending time with you! Simply because they enjoy your company so much~
✧ and when you become more teasing, it's really perfect for them because they'll immidietly come with comeback
✧ so if you're someone who can tease but can't handle someone teasing them, you better not start this endless war with Mizuki
✧ if you can handle a bit of teasing tho, the two of you know that when one starts teasing, it'll mean the war starting!
✧ they definitely told you many stories about niigo, they might've not introduce you to them but they told you enough stories for you to know they're nice people!
"Y/N, look! Isn't this collage cute? I did it when I was on call with Nifhcord yesterday."

first fic I've been requested by @xaviersjames (WHEN I SAW THAT YOU REQUESTED A FIC I WAS SO HAPPY AHHHH)
Forced proximity, I love this trope and I also used Figure Skater!Charles/ Hockey player!Erik because I find this kind of pair so beautiful!
_______________________________
The ballerina and the brute
"No! No! No! This isn't happening!" Said the hockey player, Erik? His name was Erik, right? While trying to force the door handle of the men's changing room at the skating rink.
“You know, if it didn't work the last eight times you tried, I don't think it'll work now.” Charles said as he continued to polish his figure skating skates.
“Oh, and let's hear it, ballerina, how would you like to get out of here then?” Erik asked sulkily and very pissed off even though the helmet he continued to wear made him look funny.
"Well, first of all, i'm not a ballerina, i'm a figure skater and then, if my cell phone had line, I would tell you that I would try to call someone to get us out, but unfortunately the changing rooms are under the rink so it's not a plausible solution. Since the door doesn't open, I would suggest waiting until tomorrow at six in the morning exactly, when the cleaner will come to open the place." He put the skate away and zipped up the case where the twin shoes rested.
"Do you always talk like that?" The hockey player asked as he sat down on one of the benches opposite each other.
"Not always, no." Charles replied, pulling the fingerless gloves off his hands.
"You know," Charles continued, crossing his arms over his chest.
"We wouldn't be here if you and your team had stuck to the schedule. On Thursdays, Tuesdays and Saturdays the rink is for figure skating." The other boy grimaced and Charles bit his cheek to keep from laughing.
"Yes, this is true, but our coach called your coach to give us the availability to train today instead of tomorrow and he accepted! You are the ones who don't respect the rules!" Erik took his bat and turned it around in his hands before stuffing it inside the bag.
"This isn't true at all! If Logan had received a call from Shaw he would have definitely told us! And then you are brutes, there was no point in yelling at us and throwing pucks at us when you saw us coming!"
"Throwing pucks? Who threw you a puck?" Erik now had an expression of sincere amazement.
"I didn't see who it was, maybe the doorman, but it wasn't nice anyway, he could have hurt someone!" Erik remained silent but sat back down on the bench.
"I'll talk to the others and... I'm sorry if anyone got hurt." The boy looked really ashamed and Charles tried not to look too surprised. They remained silent in that small room and, between one thought and another, Charles began to tremble.
"Everything OK?" Erik asked at the sight of the boy's shaking body.
"I'm just cold, nothing much." It was now well past midnight and Charles cursed the facility's security systems that locked all doors from eleven until six in the morning of the next day. Without a word, Erik stood up and zipped off his sweatshirt, placing it over the other boy's shoulders.
Charles' cheeks warmed and suddenly he wasn't so cold anymore.
"Don't get any weird ideas, I just don't want to hear you complain." Erik's cheeks were also red. He leaned his head against the wall and closed his eyes, still holding his head towards the hockey player, Charles did the same and after some minutes he began to feel his head getting heavier until he fell asleep.
The next day the employee opened the door and saw them sleeping leaning against each other and, if every now and then Charles or Erik's teammates saw them leaving together after training, no one bothered too much to ask questions.

Pick a card - Good thing that's happening soon 😁
Hi. Here's a general reading providing you message about a good thing that's going to happen soon. I feel that this reading is some sort of news you need to know right now too so maybe it's a mix of two lol.
I did this reading because I felt that my readings here are too intense. However, the messages I got this time is also intense so 💀💀💀 The good news may not sounds that "good" at first, but I'm sure that it's a positive thing that needs to happen to bring positive energy in your life.
Also, it's a general reading, so just take what resonates, and leave the rest behind. Don't force things to fit if it doesn't make any sense for you at all!
👇🏻Pick a color that you felt drawn to👇🏻
Tumblr media
And find the corresponding reading for you below!
Pile 1
Oops... some of you may not like this news now. The good thing that is going to happen to you is... you will get out of draining, toxic, or even abusive relationship really soon. It can be all sorts of connections but I can feel its more towards romantic relationships. Although I can feel that some of you probably don't want this to happen, I can see that you already know that something is really off about your relationship. So, if this is not the case for you, then this pile may not be your pile.
The existing relationship makes you feel really stuck and you have no idea how to get rid of it. Although you are suffering right now, some of you may still want to cling onto this connection because you don't want to think about how to deal with the consequences, or even how to escape from this connection. Some of you also make yourself believe that it's better for you to continue tolerating their nasty behaviours. However, no matter how hard you trying to convince yourself that things are working out really fine, some thing will happen unexpectedly and destroy your connection. But I don't really feel that it's that unexpected, as I can see that the negativity has already built up for a long time to the point that it's impossible to continue building.
By getting out of this connection, you will have a lot of time to be alone. It may sounds scary for now, but the time for solitude will actually be a very empowering experience for you. You will realize that you don't have to work that hard to get emotional support from others, as you are capable of taking care of yourself. It will be a transformative experience for you, and you will learn what is true love, as well as how to love yourself after the time of being alone.
Also, to be honest, the connection probably already met a dead end long time ago. You tried lots of method to make things work, but things never worked. I guess that's why some of you decided to be delusional, thinking that things are perfectly fine, in order to cope with the situation. It's really feel like a fucking maze and you are constantly trying to find the way out, but you can't. The event that will happen soon will lead you out of the maze, like literally send you to the exit. You will gain lots of clarity, and able to come up with new ideas, as well as new perspectives, when you get rid of the situation that drains so much of your energy. And I will be sure that you will understand in the future that things are not fine at all right now.
It may be a scary experience as it can be shocking and unexpected. However, I am very sure that the event that's happening in the future is exactly what you need, and what you low key wishing for. It'll bring so much positivity to your life, which will be 100x more than the nasty feeling of experiencing the sudden event at first.
(Despite the title, I really feel that this song is indicating that you have lost yourself for so long. With the event, you will be able to meet yourself again, and it'll feel so good for you.)
Tumblr media
(And when I was tidying up the cards for your pile, the 7 of swords showed up. I feel that you will seriously question if the future event is good for you in any way. It may even feel so painful for you to experience the event. However, as the imagery of this card suggests, the event is a necessary step of creating the beautiful artwork that the person is drawing. An incomplete drawing always look ugly, but if you endure the "disgust" from the unfinished artwork, and continue working on it, you will receive a beautiful artwork. Everything will worth it when you see how gorgeous the finished work is.)
Pile 2
I can see that you are worrying about something right now. There's something that you really want to do, but you feel that you lack the skills to do it. However, it won't be like this anymore real soon! I can see there will be a person helping you to make things work in the future. They can be a new person or a person you already know. For some of you, the event may come in the form of a random thought, a random inspiration, or even a random dream that you happen to remember.
The event that is going to happen soon is literally a dream come true. It's really like finding THE missing piece of the puzzle, because I can see that you already have everything for the thing to work, except that one spark to start the engine. Yes, you literally have everything you need right now.
Damn, maybe this reading is the one missing thing you need lol. If you are thinking that you lack the skills, I can see that you actually have the skills you think you're lacking. If it's a new concept or knowledge that you think you're lacking, you actually have that in your head right fucking now.
The major problem you're having right now is that you're worrying too much, and also you have like a millions thoughts floating around in your head right now. You really just need that one spark, that one push to make everything into order, and boom, it's done. No additional thing needed except that one hit. Good luck on the thing you're thinking about because you will succeed.
(Yeah. This is the perfect metaphor. You literally have the whole domino sorted out and all you need is that one single push to make a good show. And that one push will happen soon!)
Pile 3
Bruh. The good news for you is you will receive a blessing in disguise of something you absolutely don't want to happen right now. I can see that you are trying to make some innovations, bringing some new ideas, or suggest some changes. You will face a huge obstacle that prevents you from doing the thing you want to do, or a very clear sign showing that you should stop what you're doing right now. It may even be intimidating or infuriating for you at first, but I am sure that you will thank this event for happening in the future.
Judging from the energy of the reading, it seems that you lack the ability to actually do the thing you want to do. You will probably make a mess if you decide to do it. It's a case that you fucked around and unable to find out, or find out something you absolutely don't want to happen. (Yeah, something that's worse than a huge STOP sign telling you to stop what you're doing right now.)
Besides of the fact that you are not capable of pulling the thing off, I can also see that it's unnecessary to go against the flow for now. I am sorry if it's offending you, but I really don't see any positive outcome from carrying out the things you're thinking about. And I am not the type to deter people either, so I am really expressing my honest opinion, with the energy I read from this reading. You will find things to be 10 times better if you make peace with the current situation, instead of going against it.
(Well, I cannot find a song that's directly pointing out the message of this reading so I just share the last song played while I'm typing this. Also, the next song in the queue is about something burning. I take this as a sign that it'll be really dangerous for you if you proceed with what you're wanting to do, ignoring the big STOP sign.)

Danganronpa Despair Time - Fan Game Predictions Discourse & Relation to Danganronpa Death Order Tropes
Hey hey! In danganronpa there are characters that take up a significantly larger portion of the screentime & plot relevance when compared to other characters in the cast; this is something which is almost always universally true when applied to any fan projects which heavily follow the format of a danganronpa game. One aspect which comes with being a 'core character' is very often a tendecy for that character to not die unless it is the 1st, 5th or 6th chapter.
When people make death order predictions for fan projects like DRDT, they sometimes frame things so that characters I might consider obviously 'core characters' die in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th chapters - I am interested in hearing whether or not this is just something I overthink/others don't consciously think about or if there are people who have genuine arguments for why a character who might feel 'core' to the story in a format like this would die in a middle section rather than at the start or a later climatic point in the story.
So basically, if anyone here does believe that a 'core character' in the DRDT cast might die at some point in the middle of the story like the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th chapters, do you mind explaining to me why this is if you even think/or have thought of them as a core character?
Alternatively, if anyone would like to, I would love to see which characters other people consider 'core characters' to the DRDT cast; the ones I consider very important or obviously narratively signficant are Xander, Charles, Whit, Eden, David and Teruko.
One very popular example I've seen of this is the somewhat popular theory that Charles will die in chapter 3 because of a joke Whit made in chapter 1; I personally consider Charles an obvious longterm support character so I would be very interested in hearing people's thoughts on that.
Another thing I would like to note is that obviously, what happens in the canon games doesn't have to be universally applied to fan projects; the tropes present in them being subverted is a big part of the appeal of projects such as these actually, so I fully understand why they might not be adhered to. In this case in particular though, I think it's more of a storytelling trope in general than a danganronpa trope & it's one which is very helpful imo. It feels very awkward to me when a character which receives a lot of setup & attention dies halfway through the story - like an anticlimax in a way.
A weak example of this already happening in DRDT itself would ofc be Xander being the first victim. I would say this feels like a very traditional thing for danganronpa to do as a way to set up it's narrative; giving a character a significant portion of the screentime early on & a close connection to the protagonist so that when they die first they maintain their general importance as a figure in the story while also allowing for other character to take on a more central role in the plot going forward.
That's only one chapter though, so it's not really the strongest example haha. It'll be more obvious whether or not we're adhering to this going forward in the story I assume.
But yeah, super interested in hearing any thoughts on this! I can't say it's something I understand very well but it is something which I consider somewhat valuable for discussion. ^^
