due to Certain Events (pipe leak in the basement) i was not able to post about this earlier but i will do it now

so in my dream last night i was in target (the version of target i see in my dreams anyway. it looks nothing like my local target) and i was looking around in the clothing section and there was a bunch of folie à deux merch there for some reason? i remember a purple shirt with a picture of the album cover on it and then a red shirt that also had the album art on it but the one that stood out to me was a shirt that looked a lot like a pajama shirt that i have except it was not meant to be a pajama shirt and also had a zip-up collar. it was off-white colored and it had thin dark stripes and there were song lyrics embroidered on the center of the shirt in green thread. i noticed that at least two of the words were comically misspelled. in my dream i recognized them as lyrics from a song on folie à deux but i couldn't remember which one (i think in the dream i might've thought it was w.a.m.s.??), and the only two words i can remember seeing in my dream were "angel" and "cjke" (cjke being one of the misspelled words)

You hummed to yourself as you softly swayed, sitting on the sides of the fountain that was located in the middle of Scarabia. You were waiting for Kalim, who was taking quite a while with whatever Jamil called him for. There was nothing entirely important to do today. Classes were over and you just wanted to spend some time with your boyfriend.

He brought you to his dorm so that he could hear you sing again. He loves your voice and would often tell other students about your talent. Most of Scarabia already knows about your gift at this point. Right now, Kalim just wanted to spend time with you. Maybe ride a magic carpet, away from studies and just lay on your lap while you sing.

"Where is he?" you whispered to yourself as you looked at the entrance of the dorm. You sighed as you played with the waters. Suddenly, claws gently gripped/landed on your shoulders along with a gush of wind that made your hair fly around, "There you are, Pippin," you greeted Kalim's rose-breasted cockatoo who rubbed against your cheek while chirping.

Pippin flew down to your lap, looking up at you with a small tilt of her head before she nudged your chest, "What? You want me to sing?" you giggled and gently rubbed her wings. As if she understood, Pippin bobbed her head and chirped, "If you say so."

"J’avais rêvé d’une autre vie... Quand ma vie passait comme un rêve... J’étais prête à toutes les folies...À toutes les passions qui se lèvent. [I dreamed of another life...When my life passed like a dream... I was ready for all madness... To all the passions that arise.]” you softly sang. A beautiful song from your homeland that you and your mother would always sing.

The words fluently fell from your lips, your hands continued to grace on Pippin's feathers. The bird closed her eyes and comfortably perched herself on your lap. 

“J’étais si jeune où est le mal? Je voulais rire, aimer et vivre....[I was so young where is the harm? I wanted to laugh, love and live...]”

Flying down, on his magic carpet, Kalim has just ‘finished’ his duties and more or less relieved Jamil from following him around. ‘I’m just going to go to y/n!’ He told the vice dorm leader. Ah, what a relief. No, he doesn’t trust Kalim, he trusts you and he’ll cherish the small taste of freedom he’ll receive from being away from the male. 

Anyways, Kalim flew around Scarabia and once he saw you, he was in the middle of flying down before he heard your melodic voice. Just a few feet above you, he laid on his stomach and leaned on his hands. He couldn’t understand the words coming out from your lips but your soft tune was enough to leave him in awe.

“Danser jusqu'à la fin du bal...Ivre du bonheur d'être libre...[Dance until the end of the ball,...Drunk with the happiness of being free...]” you continued to serenade. Pippin felt the wind softly sway around, opening her eyes, she looked up and squawked at the sight of Kalim. You hummed and followed Pippin’s direction of sight, “Oh! Kalim!” you gleamed. His magic carpet slowly and carefully moved down to you, “That was amazing, y/n!” he complimented.

“I didn’t understand anything but the way you sang it made me want to hear it again!” he laughed and jumped down from his carpet. Pippin flew up and landed on his shoulder as he sat beside you on the fountain, “I don’t mind singing it for you,” you smiled. He laid on your lap, your hands raking through his locks.

“Please do!”

The dance studio in Pomefiore was emptied, one by one the students left, leaving you, Rook, and Vil in the room. It was training, as Vil said. It somehow went smoothly, and the dorm leader was obviously relieved it was finally over. After all, you can’t avoid having reckless first years. 

The model was fixing his make up as he sat on one of the chairs, Rook was leaning by the window— probably observing the others —and you, you were sat on the floor, scanning through songs on your phone. Your earphones were plugged into ears as your soft hums was the only thing heard in the studio.

“Psst.”

“Hm?”

Vil looked up from his compact mirror with an arched eyebrow, looking at Rook in confusion. The vice dorm head moved his head as if he was pointing to your direction, “Listen,” he smirked. The confused blond looked at your form that remained focused on scanning through your phone.

“Nung nakita kita sa tagpuan ni Bathala...May kinang sa mata na di maintindihan..[When I saw you in God’s place...There’s a glint in your eyes that I couldn’t understand..]” you softly sang along with the song that echoed in your ears. 

Both males did not understand the song you were singing. For sure, you have caught Vil’s attention once again. He knew about your beautiful voice, he said it was another asset that was fit for Pomefiore. He silently adored how smoothly the words left your lips, in a form of a beautiful melody.

Despite the language barrier, hearing you sing always relieves him for the stress he tries to avoid at all times. He was absentmindedly staring at you and Rook wouldn’t want to ruin the prefect’s good mood.

“Tumingin kung saan sinubukan kong lumisan...At tumigil ang mundo...Nung ako’y ituro mo..[Looking where I tried to leave...and the world stopped moving...when you pointed at me..]” The song had a sad tune to it. You didn’t look sad at all, but rather, you looked so calm and at peace as the words effortlessly yet gracefully moved along your tongue. That belt you did at the end surprised both males.

You were truly talented.

“At hindi ka lumayo... Nung ako yung sumusuko...At nagbago ang mundo.. Nung ako'y pinaglaban mo.....At tumigil ang mundo...Nung ako'y pinili mo...Siya ang panalangin ko...[And you did not go far...when I was the one to give up...and the world changed..when you fought for me...and the world stopped moving...when you chose me..He is my prayer...].”

“What a beautiful voix [voice], y/n!” Rook clapped which caught your attention immediately, looking at the reflection of both blonds with red cheeks, “D-Did I sing too loud?” you embarrassingly scratched your cheek, “I didn’t mind it at all,” Vil commented and closed his compact mirror and sending you a charming smile.

“I love it when you sing.”

You looked over at your senior from over your shoulder. By senior, you meant the old fae that was looking at his phone with a peculiar glint in his eyes. He was probably too engrossed from whatever he was watching, “Yes, senior Lilia?” “I told thou to just address me as Lilia, dear,” he responded before laying back.

He took off the plug of his earphones from his phone, “Malleus told me about a song that he known from Ignihyde’s dorm leader,” Lilia gestured over to the fae that descended down the stairs, “That’s right. Somehow, I heard you singing it from your room,” the younger male admitted as he approached you.

You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion before turning your chair over to face them, “What song?” you asked and Lilia gave you his phone, “I guess 'twere this one. That's what Idia sent me.” You took the phone from him and listened to the song. That’s right, it was one of your favorite songs from your homeland. You smiled and read the lyrics, “I know this song. It was from my homeland indeed.” You hummed the tune.

“Can you sing it?”

You looked up at your boyfriend in surprise, “You want me to sing it?” you repeated, “Of course, child of man. I want to hear you sing again,” he said, giving you his own smile, “I would love to hark a native speaker like thou sing a song from thy homeland,” Lilia added.

With a shy closed lip smile, you nodded and glanced back at the phone, “Tsui ni toki wa kita...Kinou made wa...Joshou no joshou de..[Finally, the time has come... Everything up 'til yesterday was a preface of prologue..]” you easily followed along with the song. 

Malleus has took a seat next to Lilia, his eyes admiringly stared at you. Lilia was fascinated at how your lips gracefully moved along with the words. A language so foreign yet beautifully sung by a singer. Though, they may not understand, it was soothing enough to hear something new every once and a while.

“Tobashi yomi de ii kara...Koko kara ga boku da yo...Keiken to chishiki to...Kabi no haekakatta...Yuuki wo motte...Imada katsute nai SUPIIDO de..Kimi no moto e DAIBU wo..[It's fine if you just skimming it through...Because it's my turn from now on...My experience and my knowledge...And all the courage I had let start to mildew...At an unprecedented speed..I will dive right into you]”

Another thing Malleus adored was your smile. How your lips would curve up as you sung out the lyrics, you were enjoying yourself and Malleus couldn’t have asked for more. He was pleased, “Madoromi no naka de...Namanurui KOORA ni...Koko de nai dokoka wo.. Yume mita yo...Kyoushitsu no..Mado no soto ni...Densha ni yurare... Hakobareru asa ni...[ And when I dozed off into a lukewarm can of cola, I dreamed of a world that so far from here. Searching outside of the classroom window, or in a morning that's brought from the rocking train..]”

That was quite a fast structure of words and you gracefully pulled it off. Just as the song trailed off into a musical, your laughter was heard as you gave the song back to Lilia, “It’s a beautiful song, but I must admit I don’t memorize all of it.” You stood up. “And you sung it beautifully,” Malleus said and wrapped an arm around your waist, “You can sing us to sleep with how soothing your voice is.”

“Are thou calling me out and changing mine lullabies for her songs, Malleus?” Lilia pouted, “Worry not, dear, thy voice is amazing.” He smiled at you while you giggled in return.

“Thank you.”

“I still prefer her voice over yours Lilia..”

The last of the real ones

As I write this, From Under the Cork Tree is streaming on my Spotify. It’s amazing how an intro to a song can suddenly place you back in a moment in time.

‘It’s just past 8 and I’m feeling young and reckless / the ribbon on my wrist says “do not open before Christmas”’ - Our Lawyer Made Us Change The Name of This Song So We Wouldn’t Get Sued

Little did I know back then, that Fall Out Boy would be the band that followed me through the ages. It was the emo punk-rock band that I was obsessed with; I watched all the ‘making of’ their music videos, plastered cut-outs of their faces on my wardrobe door, wrote their lyrics all over my pencil case.

It was the band I ‘discovered’, which turned out to be one that stuck. No one suggested me to check them out; I stumbled upon them when my channel surfing expedition landed me on MTV (back when it still played music videos). I thought, “what the heck is this guy mumbling? Something about Sin City?”

MTV was playing ‘This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race’.

It wasn’t love at first sight. It was something that just didn’t go away and I found myself humming to their catchy riffs and choruses. They were in every magazine I bought and I eventually succumbed to their influence. I borrowed Infinity On High from a friend and couldn’t find myself returning it.

'The only thing I haven’t done yet is die / and it’s me / and my plus one at the afterlife’ - Thriller

A song named after one of the greatest albums of all time has its expectations but I used to think - and still do - that ‘Thriller’ is one of those songs that was the perfect opening song, whether it be for an album or a concert. Especially with Jay Z serving as some master of ceremony to the show that is Infinity On High. It was my first proper introduction.

The friend that lent me her CD? We didn’t stay friends, but I could never repay her for giving me that first taste. I studied the album cover thoroughly and knew all 15 songs by heart. We even watched their concert together when they were in town. But I needed more, I thought. After sad attempts of Limewire-ing, I got From Under The Cork Tree for my 13th birthday.

As a pre-teen with very little rebellion and angst, Wentz’s lyrics were nothing more than pure poetry to me. The crypticness of the lyrics weren’t relatable at all; they were mostly organised nonsense that was cool to scribble on your notebook (or as your bio line on Instagram these days). I didn’t find out till much later that this frontman bassist was wearing his heart on his... lyrics.

Where FOB’s early fans had to wait every three years for new material, I found myself binging and backtracking all their albums. Past Take This To Your Grave and all the way to Evening Out With Your Girlfriend. All four records had distinctively different sounds, yet all of them had a special place in my heart. I realised, it wasn’t just because it was good music anymore - I had fallen in love with the band itself.

When it came to Folie à Deux being released, it was exciting but strange. I was now one of those fans waiting. I wasn’t sure why this record didn’t leave a pleasant taste in people’s mouths; could it be because I was blinded by my heavy anticipation? Ignoring the haters, Folie à Deux became the soundtrack of my middle school life.

Sadly, FOB announced their hiatus not long after the release of Folie à Deux. Devastated. I endured a FOB-less journey through high school, with the occasional songs that appear on shuffle, of course. I tried out Stump’s solo Soul Punk out for size; albeit amazing, it failed to fill the FOB-shaped hole.

And when you least expect it, the boys returned and dropped a new song and video to match. It’s the old boyfriend that disappeared from your life for a while: it’s familiar, safe but there’s something different about it. About him. They’re different. And it’s better.

They came back with Save Rock and Roll while I was completing my IB diploma. It was an ambitious title and they dropped all the ridiculously long song titles. It was serious, mature, refined. It was as if we both grew up while we were apart. It was also as if nothing has changed.

Skip a few years ahead to when I started university and FOB released American Beauty/American Pyscho - a mainstream, chart-topping success, as if their five-year hiatus was a thing of the past. I managed to go through my first year accompanied by these tracks, doing mundane student things. At this point, the obsession subsided and FOB was simply... comfortable.

Now nearing the end of my degree, MANIA came out. Their first single ‘Young and Menace’ was lightyears different to anything they’ve ever done. I wasn’t amazed at first, but given our history, I decided to give them a chance. So much so I went to see them in concert again without having listened to the record at least 17 times.

Let’s just say, I Spotify-ed the shit out of MANIA after that. After a few years of complacency, I renewed my vows to FOB; I know that no matter how much you’ve strayed from the sound I fell in love with, I will always continue to blast your music through my earpods.

So, I thank you Fall Out Boy for being that past lover, who has never really done anything wrong except becoming victim to life’s trials and tribulations. Who always knew a way to get back in my life when I never expect it. Unlike the other boyfriends bands I used to listen to during my teen angst days, you have outlived them all.

Thank you for growing up with me and being there all these years. I’m thankful to have a band like you to tie me down when I get lost in a sea of today’s pop, top 100 scene.

The order of release is, I think, significant, so let’s proceed accordingly. Pete’s metaphors have always layered up and referenced back on themselves, with scraps from his 2005 lj appearing as recently as in AB/AP lyrics. so let’s do some tinhat digging…

 Young and Menace – as made obvious by the title/chorus of the track, this is about being young and out of control. Sure, Pete might feel that way now to some extent, but this is one of the most settled and clearly happy periods of his life that we’ve ever witnessed. it’s safe to assume from readings of their discography that he felt significantly more monstrous (ah, to be a young bisexual! is there a keener #monster feel that exists) in the past.

 Champion – once again, this track makes more sense if we place it at a time in his life when Pete and his bandmates were struggling with personal demons as well as the fickle abuse of public perception. its theme fits much better with prehiatus content from the boys’ lives, and the song opens with a prompt of exactly that:

I’m calling you from the future (to let you know we made a mistake --> and if you don’t think this ties in p e r f e c t l y to Tryst Theory we are living very different lives my friend)

there’s a fog in the past

I’m just young enough to still believe specifically, like y&m did, brings up youth as a theme; and they do seem to know what to believe in, now, personally. To me, this line is evocative of Believers Never Die and seems to place the song in that era; the lyrical content certainly addresses hiatus themes and the extremely rough time most of the boys had surviving it. (even andy told an interviewer he thought about suicide during the hiatus, and we all know how pete immolated)

specific references to pete’s rage and trying to blow out the light, like he’s trying to extinguish something in himself because of the pain it causes, and the way Patrick has always been linked up with light metaphors in pete’s writing

I got nothing but dreams inside conflicts directly with the TLOTRO lyric I’m here with having dreams. I mean we do have the omnipresent dialectic dilemma of bisexuality, and I am dicks-and-hearts-out for bi!Pete readings, but I think this specific contradiction is here to remind us, again, that these songs are dated for different eras. being full of dreams maps on really well to you are the dreamers, we are the dream; I dreamed about the afterlife but I never really lived; I used to waste my time dreaming of being alive, now I only waste it dreaming of you.

(I think there are lots of good indicators that we can read these dreams as being pete’s dreams of being with Patrick, and I should probably write a whole post about that at some point)

probable era of reference for this track: 2005-2009ish

 The Last of the Real Ones – this song, I think, is the only one anchored in the present day. (also can we talk about interviews where pete teases this song before its release and calls it their first real/only real love song????? augh)

I really specifically want to look at this bit: I’m here at the beginning of the end, oh the end of infinity with you—anyone who read my last meta post  knows how I feel about the infinity = gay love content of fob’s discography—I’m done with having dreams, the thing that I believe, oh you drain all the fear from me.

listen I think we have ample ground to read that line, I’m done with having dreams, and especially the fearlessness, to mean that pete’s not just dreaming of Patrick anymore—either as a message that he’s ready to start now, or perhaps evidence that active trysting ™ has resumed (and check out the y&m elvis duran interview if you want to imagine a version of pete who had to get so drunk on sake at a sushi place that he created an excuse for him and Patrick, sharing a hotel room in nyc, to MAKE SOME EXPENSIVE MISTAKES)

the thing that anchors this most firmly in present day for me is the idea of finding true gold, finally being fearless, and understanding the worth that can be uncovered under golden plating. it took pete a lot of years and suffering to get to the point where he could appreciate that truth about himself and the people around him. this is such a love song. this is such an insane peterick love song. oh my god, you guys.

openly talking about his therapist and mental health is also more reminiscent of the modern canon, although it did appear occasionally in folie era

 I’m seeing them play tonight in St Louis—hit me up if you are too!—and after I hear the new song I will update this with my thoughts on it. no spoilers yet—I want the first time I hear it to be live and in person with the people I love most in the world, because that is an experience that will probably never be replicated for me and wouldn’t have been possible without the album delay. thanks guys 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜

To preface my list, I’ll clarify that I’m not including Mania yet because I haven’t listened to it enough in one day to give a solid ranking compared to the other albums. However, I’ll say for sure that’s amongst my absolute favourites. I will be ranking the Pax Am Days EP just because I don’t feel like it’s fair to count that in with Save Rock And Roll even though the EP was released as part of a special edition as well as a standalone. The style of Pax Am Days is so significantly different from their other releases that I felt it deserved it’s own spot. The same goes for My Heart Will Always Be the B-Side to My Tongue, being an acoustic EP.

So, in order from least favourite to favourite, here we go:

American Beauty/American Psycho

Let’s be honest, I still love this record. In fact, I adore the sound they achieved on this album and I really like the concept of using samples in every track. Twin Skeletons (Hotel In NYC) might just be one of my favourite Fall Out Boy songs ever, regardless of album. However, this album didn’t give me quite so solid an emotional sucker-punch as some of their other releases, which is why this takes the last place. Don’t think this means I dislike it, because in fact I take the opposite stance, but it is the album I listen to the least and probably the one I have the least emotional attachment to.

Save Rock And Roll

Again, I love the sound here. The entire concept, the mini-movie compromised of music videos, Save Rock And Roll has so much going for it. Like with American Beauty/American Psycho, however, it’s the lyrics that held this one back from being higher on my list. Believe me, I will always love the lyricism in Fall Out Boy’s releases and the fact that these two albums take the lowest places doesn’t mean I dislike the lyrics- I still like them more than I like the work of most other lyricists- but these don’t hit home in the way that the older albums do, for me. This is logical, in all honesty. I’m nineteen. The songs that were written when they were younger do have more emotional relevance to me, and I love the raw honesty of their older work in a very visceral way. I love this more polished style as well, but you’ll understand when you get further down why I had to leave these albums at the top of the list.

My Heart Will Always Be the B-Side to My Tongue

There’s not that much to say about this- it’s short but sweet. I love that early acoustic sound going on, and it makes me so grateful that I got to see a short acoustic set live when I saw Fall Out Boy back in late 2015. Not only are there acoustic recordings of one track from Take This To Your Grave and three tracks that were completely new at the time, one of which was an acoustic demo for a track later featured on From Under The Cork Tree, and lastly, an acoustic Joy Division cover. It’s charming, sweet in its simplicity and it’s always a good EP to listen through.

Take This To Your Grave

Man, this album speaks of teenage dreams like no other. It perfectly captures that limitless and ambitious sense of excitement. It’s not so much the lyrics but the music in which you can really feel it, but I can’t listen to Saturday without the urge to hop into my partner’s car with our two best friends and go take on the world with nothing but fists wrapped in fingerless gloves and a relentless, mutual love. Same goes for Homesick At Space Camp. The lyrics are sprawling and the music is rough, but ready. This album means a lot to me, in all honesty. It means a hell of a lot.

Pax Am Days

Like with the earlier EP I discussed, there’s only so much I can say about a short release. However, I have to point out quite how much it stands out against Fall Out Boy’s other releases as a totally unique thing- especially compared to their newer albums released at similar times. This EP is just special, you get the feeling it’s entirely circumstantial, they had a weekend, a studio to go to, and a couple of ideas to mess around with. If anything happened to be different, this just would not exist. It’s eighties and nineties inspired hardcore punk, and it’s honestly just a gem. 

(Also, my mum can’t stand it. This just makes me love it even more.)

From Under The Cork Tree

Now here, here is where the lyrical style of their first album combines with a slightly more polished, yet still organic sound. And boy, do I love it. This album is emotional, and that’s something I can’t avoid in this little summary of a review. It’s drenched not only in the emotion that the band wrote into every note, into every word, it’s also become splattered with my own emotions and attachments over the years. This album covers a lot of emotional ground. It starts off self-deprecating in a way that hints at hidden confidence, moving quickly through resentment and jealousy onto anger, lingering on a deep, haunting sadness before taking a U-turn back into anger and resentment. There’s a lot to cover, but what I can say without hesitation is that I’ve often found comfort in this album. There is, running close under the surface of this album, a fear of not living up to expectations. And well, look at the chart performance this release got, not to mention the level of critical acclaim. It gives me an everlasting hope that I always do better than my doubts tell me I can.

Folie A Deux

I know exactly what you’re thinking right now. “Beckett, if you like clear, honest and emotional lyrics, why is the metaphorical mess that is Folie A Deux so high up on this list?” So, here it is:

It’s because of the sound. The sound on Folie is fucking phenomenal. Everything from the rhythms, the riffs and the complexity added by the collaborations to the clean, powerful vocals, every aspect of this album seems like it was specifically designed to murder and resurrect me all at once. It’s so crisp, so strong, it’s hard to describe exactly how it feels without directing you to go listen to it right now for yourself. I don’t dislike the lyrics, but it’s true that with this album more than the others I struggled to make sense of them. That said, tracks like 27 really knock it out of the park in regards to both lyricism and composition. Actually, 27 is my favourite Fall Out Boy song. Considering every album, every song, 27 is my favourite. I think that speaks volumes about Folie A Deux.

(Actually, I can’t move on without pointing out my favourite piece of musical and lyrical detail from Folie A Deux. You know in West Coast Smoker, when the bridge counts “Knock once for the Father/ Twice for the Son/ Three times for the Holy Ghost” and then the drum line does one beat, two beats and three beats on each line to hammer it home? Yeah, I’m a sucker for that.)

Infinity On High

Well, we’re finally at the top (or, more literally, the bottom) of the list. At last, I get to rant about my love of Infinity On High. Firstly, it’s named for a Van Gogh quote, which sets my little artist’s heart aflame. Secondly, it combines the elements I love the most from all of their other albums. It has the lyrical openness of their early work with the more structured, polished style to the wording. There’s metaphors, but they don’t saturate the whole of the album and I find them easy to pick up. And though I technically do slightly prefer the powerful sound of Folie A Deux, this is where that sound began. It may not be quite so omnipresent, but it’s there and many of what I would call my favourite Fall Out Boy songs come from this album for that exact reason. The running theme of fame is something that the band themselves have called “arrogant” in hindsight, but I actually feel that’s a little harsh. When they wrote the album they were still new to fame and recognition and, therefore, the hardships it creates. Getting to hear that process and that part of their journey, that time of adjustment to a new social landscape, it’s fascinating to me. They had a whole new goldmine of resources bought to them not only by label success but also by name and reputation, and there’s a clear shift at the release of this record where you can feel them really pin down what their ideal sound was at the time. Yeah, this is my favourite Fall Out Boy album as it currently stands.

You’ll never be able to stand by the shore again without remembering her every word and the way she grabbed your hand and how the particles of sunlight reflected equally of the water and through her eyes. She was a source of light herself and when she finally noticed she left to irradiate the life of someone who deserves it, taking that intensity with her.

84: are you planning on getting tattoos? which ones?hells yeah i want so many tattoos. the first one i’m going to get is the thing frank drew for me at the show last week. i’m doing that one really soon because i’d like to be able to show him when i see him in april. i also want to get a constellation on my left wrist, i’m thinking the pleiades. i have a vague design for an mcr tattoo in progress, involving a compass and the lyrics “nothing you can say can stop me going home”. i also kinda want to get fall out boy lyrics “mummified my teenage dreams no it’s nothing wrong with me the kids are all wrong the story’s all of heavy metal broke my heart” tattooed on the back of my left shoulder. also idk how safe it is but i kinda want a metallic gold bird wing tattooed on my entire right side but i’ve hear metallic tattooes are dangerous. when i get top surgery i’m going to design something to cover the scars. also i want a spiderweb on the right side of my neck (not sure if i want a spider in it or not) and on my right hand and forearm (just the back) i want the human skeletal system as it actually appears in my body, in greyscale. the last two i’m not getting unless the musician career works out because i need to be able to get a real job. also if i ever end up getting married i want the date of my wedding tattooed on the inside of my right wrist in roman numerals. i will probably add many more but that’s all i’ve thought out so far

90: talk about your one of you favorite cities.NYC is anyone at all surprised? sadly i have never lived there but it has always felt like home even since i was too young to have any concept of that. especially at night in the snow. walking through central park on a winter evening is a profound experience. also there’s just so much there!! so much culture and so many people something is always happening. i know beyond any doubt that that’s where i belong

93: what’s the hairstyle you wear the most?since i got my hair cut short i can’t really do different styles. right now it’s buzzed on one side and a few inches long (but uneven) on the other. it just sits like that. i want to grow out the long side so that it’s chin length and leave the short side buzzed but i don’t think i have the patience.
