Brainwash yourself with good habits. You need to do it the way you would train a dog - fetch the stick and get a treat.

I love listening to music but I also wanted to start listening to podcasts. I have to go to work everyday, and I prefer to drive myself to work and back.

I know that if I make myself listen to podcasts both drives, the habit will last not more than 3 days.

But if I make myself listen to a podcast on the way to work; and listen to my favourite music on the way back home to de-stress and relax; now that’s a healthy compromise. And it works for the long term.

The same goes with social media. I deleted all social media from my phone. I don’t have Facebook, Instagram, or even tumblr on my phone. The YouTube account that I keep on my phone has been very consciously kept; I only allow the algorithm to show me educational stuff like podcasts, history videos, news, psychology, stuff like that. Absolutely no entertainment. I keep all my social media (and my “fun” YouTube account which is basically Korean mukbangs and all sorts of useless beauty hauls that I honestly love to watch) on another device - my iPad, which I use for work. I check out what’s happening on tumblr or YouTube or Pinterest when it’s my lunch break or a coffee break. That’s another healthy compromise that works for me.

Going cold turkey with anything - stopping something addictive like smoking or drinking or suddenly starting a plethora of new habits- doesn’t work. You’ve restricted your mind and body so much that you keep remember the good old days where you drank like a whale and sat on the couch watching rubbish and you glamorise, romanticise and reminisce those times. Now you’re in that dangerous red zone where you know that if you see that bottle or the packet of chips, your body is going to reach for it before your mind can intervene.

Aim for long-term, sustainable albeit small habits, rather than complex overnight habits.

How long Ruby has known the Doctor: an analysis

Five episodes in, I wonder if series 14 is setting up some sort of reveal involving just how long Ruby has actually been travelling with the Doctor. Because there have been too many inconsistencies, in my opinion, for it to be a mistake.

In "The Devil's Chord", dialogue about Ruby's present now being June/July 2024, after she began travelling with the Doctor the previous Christmas, implies a six-month time skip. In the same episode, however, the decision-making process that leads to Ruby and the Doctor picking their destination at the beginning feels very much like they still haven't been travelling together very long. (Especially the part where Ruby is concerned about them sticking out so the Doctor introduces her to the TARDIS' wardrobe.)

"Boom" is Ruby's first trip to an alien planet. We all know Earth is the Doctor's favourite world, but Ruby taking over half a year to get to see another world is... odd.*

In "73 Yards", Ruby tells Kate that she didn't know the Doctor very long. It has been over a year since his disappearance at this point and if she'd only known him for a few months that might not feel long, but it feels odd. Carla and Cherry also don't act like Ruby's been missing for ages when she returns home earlier. And the fairy circle accident happens in winter, the same season Ruby met the Doctor in, although it's unclear if it's the same winter.

In "Dot and Bubble", Ruby makes a comment about learning to trust the Doctor implying she's known him for quite a while.

*Rose Tyler didn't visit any alien planets in her first season, but she's unusual in that her first visit to one was explicitly not depicted onscreen, but in the tie-in novel The Monsters Inside.

One detail that might be related as well is that in both "The Devil's Chord" and "73 Yards", the Doctor seems to be having some trouble remembering exactly when Ruby's home time is.

So what we have here is a possible plot point, maybe connected to the theories I've heard about this season actually being an in-universe TV show, and/or that Ruby is an in-universe fictional character. Or maybe it's something else.

Either that, or I'm totally wrong and I'm going to feel silly.

We'll see!

Some funny inconsistencies i found with TF2

The first one is with the comic 'gargoyle and gravel', Scout, Soldier, Heavy and Miss.Pauling are playing dungeons and dragons, the issue is that dungeons and dragons didn't come out until 1974 which is 3 years after the events of the post game comic series.

the second one i notice that i think some people have already notice but i will mention it anyway, the song 'sex bomb' by tom jones didn't come out until 1999 so how can scout have a tattoo of it in 1971? very strange (Speaking of scout, i think it's funny that scout thinks tom jones is his dad as he also probably thinks that he's american-welsh and not american-france)

Merasmus in one of his lines mentions he went on the internet but the internet wasn't invented until 1982 so merasmus is a time traveler or something

I know there are other inconsistencies like how engineer has the beep boy which is based on the game boy but that didn't come out until 1989 but i can't think of anymore at the moment, i might update this if i do but yeah, TF2 is sometimes inconsistance to the time period it's in and i think it's funny 😆

Smosh Pit - May 1, 2025

I went to watch the newest Smosh Pit video because the past 3 or 4 videos I've been able to watch with correct, not auto-generated captions.

This one ("Battling For The Best Easter Candy"), however, still has auto-generated captions meaning I can’t watch, understand, and enjoy it.

Inconsistency is still exclusion. This is not okay.

I feel like canon gets obsessed about too much.

I mean, personally, I don’t much care about canon inconsistencies if it’s in the name of a great story.

I mean obviously canon should line up, ideally, and you don’t want to retcon in something that undermines anything important, and you want characters to be consistent

and you need a story that backs up your retcon. Especially if youre gonna shake things up on a really big scale, youve got to have a story that matches how much you’re uprooting.

But if I’m frank, I think in general it’s foolish to lock off story potential just because it doesn’t fit perfectly with what’s currently established.

And no, a retcon you disagree with does not mean the creator hates you personally or has no respect for what’s come before.

However I should be clear: there is a difference between canon inconsistencies and literally just ignoring the work of other creators because you don’t like it. That work did happen and it did matter. And your audience will remember that it happened.

I guess what I’m saying is be careful with canon, don’t treat it like it’s unimportant, but don’t get locked into it either. Canon inconsistencies aren’t the end of the world, and sometimes they can actually be fertile ground for future stories.

Page 849 Reworked

I've been waiting a long time to show this one, and had to adjust some stuff cause the author thought rushing to place an out of place fog would make things better, but just adds on the confusion of a fog only showing around their and not around the area. Also would've had a scene of them going through the fog and we seen the Two tribes coming in through the fog. This would've been a better battle and advantage CAUSE LET ME REMIND YA. There are two tribes band together to take down Meteor tribe and a few of Whispervale members. THIS IS A NO WIN BATTLE, Meteor has to be strategic and improvise from a no win scenario. Ronja and other would've taken advantage of the fog and fought them there and not up the freaking mountains. taken advantage when the elements plus the rain coming down would make it more thick in mist. THE BATTLE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF!!!.

Also quote from the author themselves; " No paint on any of them for this, it's tedious enough to have to draw all this armor X)" SO BASICALLY YOU, an author that is drawing a Raiding battle of tribes that is between life and death, doesn't want to do paint nor any detailed important stuff, so we don't know who's fighting who. It's not even battle armor cause None of them ARE WEARING ANYTHING TO PROTECT THEMSELVESM, Meteortribe is more equipped with clothes then the tribes that are experienced not wearing any, they're the one's that say burning bodies is ' primitive '. let me tell ya after 2-3 pages its laughable on him trying to make this the final boss type BS when they. How these dogs advanced again? ya got literally spirits giving out free loot XD This is what I mean by ' changing plot to fit the story ' and ' inconsistencies ' like this an annoying blemish, instead of a competent tribes that are more experienced and trained to handle such things, you are NOT given armor nor paint nor anything of an build-up, because you was lazy and don't know how to find an easy way to do said battle armor - PLUS don't know how to have meteor tribe not lose members. Like, why the heck are the two tribes waited MONTHS to start invading them now why not then?? because kiq. doesn't know how to fix the plot holes, since basically would've been wiped out regardless of the extra protection. why meteor waited so long to fix their defenses?

why Keirr is not with them, isn't he a family oriented dog.?

Why Rhovanion and Feaf are not their isn't Rhov and family oriented dog?

Why meteor didn't leave around winter and waited many months to move at all? , this is not a vacation, its an evacuation.

why Tribes waited years to actually start something now then 30 years ago.?

Why Roamer wants to take the idea from Kargo which was meant for Kargo, roamer, Ferah to make their ' new life? ' why not just have it where its an idea you made on your own???!!!! really putting salt on that wound ain't ya?

When did Kargo know about Rogio, more then Roamer who is literally his boyfriend?

Why Rogio dumping all the chores on Roamer to do? he's been doing it a lot and somehow Roamer have to agree, cause remember those scenes when Roamer put OUT HIS OPINION??!!! and tried to help? he gotten gaslighted and a upper cut of emotional manipulations.

Why Rogio wants a Polycule now? especially after we SAW Rogio snooping AGAIN on other dogs conversations. and Kargo so far is focused on other things then having a threesome. and all these glaring and many more glaring questions. Again the question is why?? why, why and more WHY'S. This stuff usually is dealt with after doing drafts, concepts and revisions.

The quick placement of the Fog was laughable, cause think about it like, why kiq. going to do a dues ex Machina on the mountains and not in the fogs. Think about it in a tactical planning for Ronja and writers. The Fog is more an advantage to hide in the thick mist in dark shades of the trees, then being exposer on plan sight on top of a mountain. Meteor ( Nordguard ) 1. does not know how to wield a sword, 2. they're outnumbered, 3. lack experiences and 4. have children. They needed to think strategically and fast. The fog would've been a perfect scene for them to hide in and cover their scents, Rain and thunder is coming, so more thick fog and cover up from the tribes, they would use that to their advantage and scatter the raid them around. It's a risky maneuver but Ronja can't be hesitant nor meek on this, is all or nothing. THIS STUFF IS GOOD TENSION AND CHARACTER BUILD-UP.

---- This creating armor and concepts is like whip cream on an ice cream cake for me. But hey it's not my Comic to stress over, be a pump and dump for all I bloody know . .....

Is it an inconsistency or radical change caused by survival?

replaying TWDG, maybe I noticed an inconsistency in Carley's character.

in the first episode she risks killing the entire pharmacy group to save Lee, Clementine, Kenny, Katjaa and Duck.

while arguing with Lilly, she also says that "we can't let people die, either."

in episode 3, after the fight between Lilly and Kenny, in which it is revealed that Lee chose not to help the suffering girl near the pharmacy, Carley still agrees with Lee's choices, as if she didn't care about the fact that he let that girl die.

Why? Why does she risk the survival of her group in the first episode to save people, while in the third episode she is no longer interested in helping people outside the group?

In your opinion, did the St. John's perhaps influence this radical change in Carley's mentality?

Why now is Morgan Elsbeth to suggest Tie Defender when it was Thrawn in Treason and in Rebels (this even made by Dave Filoni!) to do it?!

Besides in that episode Thrawn said to be an admiral, but he has only a line of patch! He should have two! One line red and the other blue!
