MY SHORT MOVIE IS COMING OUT THIS WEEK!!!
Tumblr media
For those of you not in the know, I'm actually a Very Renowned Director and my latest short, FANTASMAS, is finally, finally being oficially published. (we got into some. contract trouble). If everything goes to plan, it gets released on Feb 6th. Check the premiere link! Here is the link for the premiere! : https://youtu.be/GycbxV_FKNE
Its about my experience with transness and self-image, and the experience of looking at your past and future as a trans person. We won Best Montage in a pretty cool Brazilian film festival (The 21st edition of Curta Santos), so its the perfect movie to brag about to your film nerd friends
Shortly afterwards, I'm planning to do a live post-mortem on the proccess of making a short movie with a 4-person crew, our struggles and our guerilla tactics to shoot some of the scene. thank you to everyone who knows of this project and pestered me through the entirety of 2023 to post it. I can now!

In my childhood I was a fervent worshiper of the tiger: not the jaguar, the spotted “tiger” of the Amazonian tangles and the isles of vegetation that float down the Paraná, but that striped, Asiatic, royal tiger, that can only be faced by a man of war, on a castle atop an elephant. [...] Childhood passed away, and the tigers and my passion for them grew old, but still they are in my dreams.
José Zúñiga (as a character called Miguel Flores) reads from a poem in Jorge Louis Borges’ collection Dreamtigers (1960) in the film Fresh Kill (Shu Lea Cheang, 1994).
