hi wait did I read your tags right, you made your own version of a soundgasm website?
kinda? i mean it's not "my own version of soundgasm" because it's just my personal site (so like you can't make an account and upload stuff there) but yeah, go check out https://listen.rosepetalkitty.cc, i made it all myself from scratch because i wanted to be able to have more control over the backend and the ui.
plus it lets me edit my descriptions and tags, replace audio files if i fuck something up, and add extra stuff that soundgasm doesn't have, like collections/series, automatic messages on discord when i post new audios, maybe in the future a way to have a play queue, possibly a "variants" feature for different versions of the same audio, better metrics (instead of just "how many clicks has this audio gotten since i posted it" i can see stuff like "during which hours do i get the most traffic", "how many clicks has this audio gotten this week", etc.). and also it's in my color scheme. so uh. yeahg. maybe it's more accurate to describe it as my equivalent to Shibby's "Shibbydex" or Miss Lilith's "Lilith Unleashed".
oh and btw, for my petals who aren't already aware, im no longer posting my audios on soundgasm for obvious reasons (my own site is just way way better for me to work with and as far as im aware its better for my listeners too) so if you're looking for my files in the future please go there. all the old ones from sg are on my new site, but im not going to delete them from sg, im just not going to post new things there.

A child drinks from a water tap in the town of San Lorenzo, constructed by USAID/Ecuador, in 2003.
Before the construction of this water system, families in the community of Calderon in the San Lorenzo municipality of Ecuador were forced to obtain their water supply from unprotected and contaminated sources, which caused illness and disease among the people. USAID’s Northern Border Development Program built this water system in 2002 and it benefits around 450 community members.
This photo won third place in a photo contest commemorating the 50th anniversary of USAID, in 2011. The water taps were installed by the USAID Northern Border Development Program in Ecuador, in conjunction with the UN's International Organization for Migration. The program also included infrastructure like roads, canals and bridges.
An audit by the USAID Inspector General concluded that the program had achieved about 90% of its planned results. The report was very recently removed from the USAID website, but can still be found on the Internet Archive.

ooohhh okay so as part of the insanely evil and horrible reconciliation bill the evil federal government and this garbage administration is the requirement to make a fuckton federal land west of the rockies available for corporate sale………
#so much usfs and blm land#and so obviously just to punish western states#it’s disgusting and horrible and miserable and i don’t even know what to do#more than 3m acres of public land could be sold to corporate developers and polluters and for WHAT#i’m devastated by this for real it’s so horrible#supposedly to all be used for ‘housing’ whatever the fuck that’s supposed to mean but there’s no infrastructure and it would fall to#to the states to build that in and get nothing back and also absolutely NOT the way to address the housing crisis#us politics

I was wondering who kipperlily was reminding me of, and I finally remembered last night—ocean from ride the cyclone. as in, yes, these morals are fucked but also this is a child. it is the moral duty of the adults around her to foster better morals and traits like compassion and empathy. I can’t blame her for being so primed to be taken advantage of; that being said, if/when that influence is removed and if she is given a chance to change, that is on her.
in a meta sense, brennan has established that there is a difference in the teenage villains he creates, and the vast majority of them are not pure irredeemable evil—they were influenced/groomed into their role and given external support/the ability to be free from that and change, they take it. how I’m seeing it, that’s being set up for at least a few of the rat grinders.
#d20#dimension 20#fantasy high junior year#fhjy#fantasy high junior year spoilers#fhjy spoilers#I could see there being some narrative beat similar to the one w ruben-seeing the scared pre-rage version still in there#also while I’m here-yes ideally klcp should’ve been referred out for intensive help and all that. but following that logic of actually#caring about mental health then at the very least most of that school probably needs some level of routine appts. Not saying that’s bad!#but jawbone is only one person with most of the faculty gone and while hes doing his best he doesn’t have the clinical training someone irl#would have-much less to say whether that infrastructure even exists somewhere like elmville. idk it’s complicated and not done yet so I dont#feel comfortable preemptively assuming what morals or values the narrative is promoting. like the morals of tgp s1 vs s1-4 are similar but#Vastly different in the actual ethical minutiae and how much the premise has been developed and elaborated on#can you guys tell my finals are over and my brain is finally turning back on 🥳

Two months remaining
Sonatype's OSSRH will reach end-of-life on 30 June, forcing me to change how I distribute my open-source JVM libraries. I've known about this deadline for about a month now, but so far I haven't made any progress migrating to Central Portal, its replacement.
Currently I have about 25 projects that publish via OSSHR, so this is potentially a major headache for me.

I hate when people more knowledgeable about history than me are somehow less politically informed
#Errr or idk how to put it like I wouldn't call myself all that politically informed either#But like idk I was talking to this girl who was like we need more traffic cops. It is bad there r less cops on the road coz of#Increased awareness of black people being killed in routine traffic stops + other shit that changed during onset of covid#Because now ppl r driving less safely. But we can't just bring back the cops. So we should abolish the police via#Creating more departments for specific things so traffic enforcement should exist independently of what we now consider policing#N she was saying other stuff abt the creation of these departments and I was like. I really don't care for reform unless it#Exists as intermediary to dissolution of entire systems and overhauling of infrastructure.#Like I'm not excited to endorse what you're talking about even on the level of Solving Traffic because the solution should be radically#transforming the infrastructure to be less car-centric and develop better public transportation#N her response was 'well we should do what we can now with what we got' or something n idr#how I responded to that but idk if the thing that makes you uncomfortable and inspired towards change is#more dangerous traffic as opposed to like. The brutalization and fear of that comes w cops.#Then idk I don't really care about your priorities or addressing your concerns. I just cannot bring myself to care.#Because 1. You obviously don't have my concerns as a racialized person who relies on public transportations in mind as urgent#(Which is to me like I don't trust once you get your reforms you'd not just#shrug your shoulders and call it unfortunate whatever issues remain that other people suffer)#2. It is plainly ignorant to think any enforcement of Law Order Safety etc in a white supremist settler colony wouldn't reproduce violence#She was like they should just have tasers not guns and it's like. K people have been killed with tasers.#People have been killed with batons even. Like. Completely wrong focus ig because You're scared of guns?? Idk.#But anyway before that conversation I kinda felt like an idiot compared to her coz when we'd go to the library I'd only want to read comics#& she was only reading non-fiction books like history and politics etc#So it's like her opinions are technically more Well-Informed than mine n it's kinda hard for me to argue coz I just have like. Principles.#~

Industry First: UCIe Optical Chiplet Unveiled by Ayar Labs
Ayar Labs has unveiled the industry’s first Universal Chiplet Interconnect Express (UCIe) optical interconnect chiplet, designed specifically to maximize AI infrastructure performance and efficiency while reducing latency and power consumption for large-scale AI workloads.
This breakthrough will help address the increasing demands of advanced computing architectures, especially as AI systems continue to scale. By incorporating a UCIe electrical interface, the new chiplet is designed to eliminate data bottlenecks while enabling seamless integration with chips from different vendors, fostering a more accessible and cost-effective ecosystem for adopting advanced optical technologies.
The chiplet, named TeraPHY™, achieves 8 Tbps bandwidth and is powered by Ayar Labs’ 16-wavelength SuperNova™ light source. This optical interconnect technology aims to overcome the limitations of traditional copper interconnects, particularly for data-intensive AI applications.
“Optical interconnects are needed to solve power density challenges in scale-up AI fabrics,” said Mark Wade, CEO of Ayar Labs.
The integration with the UCIe standard is particularly significant as it allows chiplets from different manufacturers to work together seamlessly. This interoperability is critical for the future of chip design, which is increasingly moving toward multi-vendor, modular approaches.
The UCIe Standard: Creating an Open Chiplet Ecosystem
The UCIe Consortium, which developed the standard, aims to build “an open ecosystem of chiplets for on-package innovations.” Their Universal Chiplet Interconnect Express specification addresses industry demands for more customizable, package-level integration by combining high-performance die-to-die interconnect technology with multi-vendor interoperability.
“The advancement of the UCIe standard marks significant progress toward creating more integrated and efficient AI infrastructure thanks to an ecosystem of interoperable chiplets,” said Dr. Debendra Das Sharma, Chair of the UCIe Consortium.
The standard establishes a universal interconnect at the package level, enabling chip designers to mix and match components from different vendors to create more specialized and efficient systems. The UCIe Consortium recently announced its UCIe 2.0 Specification release, indicating the standard’s continued development and refinement.
Industry Support and Implications
The announcement has garnered strong endorsements from major players in the semiconductor and AI industries, all members of the UCIe Consortium.
Mark Papermaster from AMD emphasized the importance of open standards: “The robust, open and vendor neutral chiplet ecosystem provided by UCIe is critical to meeting the challenge of scaling networking solutions to deliver on the full potential of AI. We’re excited that Ayar Labs is one of the first deployments that leverages the UCIe platform to its full extent.”
This sentiment was echoed by Kevin Soukup from GlobalFoundries, who noted, “As the industry transitions to a chiplet-based approach to system partitioning, the UCIe interface for chiplet-to-chiplet communication is rapidly becoming a de facto standard. We are excited to see Ayar Labs demonstrating the UCIe standard over an optical interface, a pivotal technology for scale-up networks.”
Technical Advantages and Future Applications
The convergence of UCIe and optical interconnects represents a paradigm shift in computing architecture. By combining silicon photonics in a chiplet form factor with the UCIe standard, the technology allows GPUs and other accelerators to “communicate across a wide range of distances, from millimeters to kilometers, while effectively functioning as a single, giant GPU.”
The technology also facilitates Co-Packaged Optics (CPO), with multinational manufacturing company Jabil already showcasing a model featuring Ayar Labs’ light sources capable of “up to a petabit per second of bi-directional bandwidth.” This approach promises greater compute density per rack, enhanced cooling efficiency, and support for hot-swap capability.
“Co-packaged optical (CPO) chiplets are set to transform the way we address data bottlenecks in large-scale AI computing,” said Lucas Tsai from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). “The availability of UCIe optical chiplets will foster a strong ecosystem, ultimately driving both broader adoption and continued innovation across the industry.”
Transforming the Future of Computing
As AI workloads continue to grow in complexity and scale, the semiconductor industry is increasingly looking toward chiplet-based architectures as a more flexible and collaborative approach to chip design. Ayar Labs’ introduction of the first UCIe optical chiplet addresses the bandwidth and power consumption challenges that have become bottlenecks for high-performance computing and AI workloads.
The combination of the open UCIe standard with advanced optical interconnect technology promises to revolutionize system-level integration and drive the future of scalable, efficient computing infrastructure, particularly for the demanding requirements of next-generation AI systems.
The strong industry support for this development indicates the potential for a rapidly expanding ecosystem of UCIe-compatible technologies, which could accelerate innovation across the semiconductor industry while making advanced optical interconnect solutions more widely available and cost-effective.

This sludgy, slippery sidewalk on Grant Street is the only pedestrian route between King Memorial Station & the apartments completed a couple of years ago as a "transit-oriented development."
Ownership is split among MARTA, Atlanta & CSX. We need those parties to cooperate.
My understanding is that the water comes from the portion that CSX owns (the ground behind the wall, which lies under their freight rail line), it seeps through the tunnel wall that MARTA owns, and lands on the sidewalk the City owns. All three entities will need to cooperate to fix it.
I'm not convinced we can truly call this a transit-oriented development until it becomes a great space for pedestrians.

Follow up to the last anon: what was it exactly that made the AfD appealing to the people you know?
mass deportations and germany finally being "safe" again, less immigrants and illegals so there's more money, social security, health care etc for "germans" etc. quite literally everything the propaganda machine afd made up, they believe that only the afd can bring change and all that. it's mostly the thinking that immigrants or illegals or refugees get more than the people i know have, that they benefit from germany and "germans" get left behind bla bla bla which is fucking stupid and nonsense.
#i gotta say to that my dad is not the most clever guy. he can barely read cant really write left the school at 14 years old#he heard all the promises the afd made and all the propaganda and fell for it#it's hard explaining these political structures and everything to him bc he doesn't understand or doesn't want to understand it#but yeah my mom and i could convince him to vote for another party#asks#anon#to add to this.#this way of thinking is only benefitted by the fact that east germany is still earning less than the west#we still get less pension#less job opportunities less economic development less infrastructure
