I collect bones and I like vulture culture. I am also very interested in human anatomy and medical examinations (I'm not an expert I just think it's neat).

I really like gothic lit like dracula, Jekyll and Hyde, Frankenstein, carmilla, and more.

This is not even me being annoyed but it is genuinely so interesting to me how anyone could see how Armand had complete control over not only his coven but an entire restaurant full of people when Santiago started that fight w/Louis and then… Armand…somehow… was defeated by the Vampire Sam and the scary coven when it was time to kill Louis and Claudia. It felt so obvious he was lying and was a masterful way to introduce doubt in a chilling way for the audience to try and reflect if anything Armand has claimed so far to be true

Yeah the show could obviously go in different directions with how Gabrielle was/is toward Lestat as a mother, and how Louis reacts to her...but it is hard to imagine this version of Louis really feeling that warmly toward a Gabrielle who resembles the book one in her relationship with Lestat. She did help him at times, absolutely, but she failed him as a parent in a lot of ways. Which it's easy to have sympathy for since she was dealing with massive amounts of abuse and trauma herself, with no resources whatsoever in that time period...but still

Totally agree, anon, and I think if the show goes in that direction, Louis will be totally justified in feeling some sort of way about Gabrielle.

Also, y’know, the reverse is pretty true too? Louis very much did attempt to murder her son, almost succeeded, and has recently had a book published about it! Lestat deserved it, and was abusive to Louis and Claudia, and I’m not diminishing that at all, but there is also a through line on this show about victim-survivors treating each other badly, which I’ve talked about before, and given the fact that Gabrielle and Lestat are trauma bonded through the abuse they both endured from the Marquis, I don’t know! I think there are a lot of very complicated emotions there to be explored, and personally I can’t wait to see what the show does with that.
