Wrote a ramble about Zone so I’m gonna share it here too

Zone. What can we say about Zone? He’s 20 years old, auDHD, trans, and a massive nerd. Oh, and he’s also undead.

Once upon a time, Zone was a pure shape named Surv. Surv lived in a cave, living among spiders. Shapes visited the cave occasionally, but only one visited frequently. That one shape and Surv were friends, until they had a very large argument. A few days after the argument, a cave-in happened, which crushed Surv and caused him to die.

Surv was found by a scientist, who used concentrated amounts of corruption to revive him. The revival was mostly successful, but his right leg was irreparably damaged and caused him pain until he was able to get it amputated.

Now going by Zone, he struggled to get by. He worked in a supermarket, mostly as a cashier. Life was tough, and got even tougher when Macabre, the embodiment of death, started hunting him down because he’s not supposed to be alive.

Eventually Zone runs into the scientist that revived him, and after explaining the situation he’s in, the scientist gives him a device that allows him to travel through dimensions.

His story is open ended, as it allows us to experiment with different concepts, character relationships, and themes. This story is our fun space, and we’ve often fretted over having to have one thing be strictly canon, so we’re gonna just leave it open ended.

Favourite Britney songs and albums?

My favourite Britney album is Into the Zone, although I liked her earlier ones too. I wasn't keen on her later albums. For songs, I really liked Everytime and Toxic from Into the Zone, plus Overprotected, Stronger and Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know. She's got some good songs, but it's a while since I actually listened!

Chapter three!! (Ao3 saw it first)

Chapter 3: The chaos unfolds

It took three days before the channel finally posted a video again, but this time the channel was under a different name, as well as a proper banner and profile picture to go with. It was almost, villainous, with how the glowing green text seemed to pop from the screen, seeping into the dark red background. The new video had a cover of the channel, static on the sides of the screen. The Justice League had once again gathered to watch the video, this time the bat clan joining since they would be a part of the mission. “Everyone ready to play?” Hal asked from the front of the room, this time the one in control of the computer. A chorus of affirmative was all Hal needed to start the video, static overtaking the screen.

The screen’s static faded into a room, the boy from last time, Danny, standing at a table with a grim look upon his face. The boy looked directly at the camera, before speaking.

“Warning, you are about to see videos covering the Zone. This channel is not to encourage, but to protect.” Danny brought his arms into view, the camera picking up the scars that littered the boy’s arms as he continued speaking. “No matter what we say, the zone is and will be dangerous. do not seek out the zone. Do not approach the entities in the zone. But most importantly, never. Ask. How. They. Died.” The static came back the second the last word escaped from Danny’s mouth, fading into another room, this one covered with computer monitors all over the walls, wires covering the background as some of them glowed. And a boy with dark features sitting in the center, fiddling with something in his hands. Looking up at the camera, it seemed like gold reflected in his eyes for a moment before he spoke.

“This is a pda.” He held up the item he had been fiddling with, its age showing through the screen. “Yes, it’s old. However, these are the only items that work inside of the zone.” The boy put down the pda, looking straight into the camera with a grim expression.

“These devices need to be specially modified if you want a connection between the zone and reality. You will see these frequently, however we will not explain how to make them work. The zone is a dangerous place. Do not seek out the Zone.”

As static filled the screen once more, worry filled the room as the league looked around at each other.

“What happened to those kids? Danny seemed so carefree in the last one, and who was the other person?” Superman spoke up from the back of the room before the screen faded into a greenhouse this time. A girl with short black hair dressed in black was in the hallway of the greenhouse, clearly providing information that she was goth.

“The zone is extremely contaminated. Long exposure to the zone will affect humans, and plants.” She spoke as she walked to the side, the plants in the room seeming to reach for her as she moved. Picking up a pot, the vines inside seemed to slowly wrap around her arm. “Do not eat plants in the zone if you end up inside. Do not touch plants in the zone. Do not seek out the zone.” She put the pot back down, unwrapping the vines from her skin. “The plants aren’t the only ones affected when left inside too long.” She said as she stared at the camera, a sad expression filled her face before the screen cut to black, glowing text seeping out as it did.

“Do not try to enter the Zone. It should only happen by mistake. You are not the highest one inside, though you are the prey.” All three voices from before echoed over each other before the video ended.

The room was silent, spooked by the end of the video. Diana looked at Batman, her face set in a scowl. “What’s the eta on the mission?” Everyone in the room looked to the man for his answer. “We leave in two days, I need to set up a cover.” Bruce left the room, slipping away to make a phone call while the league began to rewind the video, going over the footage once more.

“This is Vlad Masters, to whom may I address this call?” Vlad was in his office, a grin spreading along his face as the caller spoke. “Ah Bruce! I’d never realized you thought so highly of me! Yes of course I could host you, I’d love to talk business of course.” He spun in his chair as he picked up his cat. “Your kids? Well of course they are welcome! I will have to have my godson over for them to meet, he’s a fine boy after all.” Vlad couldn’t help but grin as the man on the phone spoke. He’d have to plan an event for Mr. Wayne after all! The opportunity to get his hands into a part of the Wayne industry was something he was determined not to miss, and if he had to wrangle the little badger into his arms for a couple days, well, he’s sure Jack won’t mind.

As someone who buys a shit tonne of vintage and retro items all the time I need to tell you about the "shart zone" and "prime nuclear cockroach material"

when buying used items i will do anything in my power to avoid the shart zone, which is in the range of 5-10 years old, this is a short enough amount of time for especially electronic items to have not found a way to fall apart horribly but have become out dated enough to have no support and likely will not retain any value. I do however LOVE the nuclear cockroach material zone which is anything 20+ years old. If it still works after 20 years it is going to work forever. A great example of this is my pc which exists in the shart zone and has to be revved up to turn on lawnmower style, but my N64 works fine.
