Biden has not done enough. he has done less than nothing about the ongoing genocide in palestine. Thinking about how we know dan and phil (or at least phil) are considerate of their neighbors while filming in hotels. But in this last video dan was full on YELLING and phil said nothing. ZINE DRAMA is not ~fandom drama~. Zines are independent small businesses. Any time money is exchanged, you risk sharing your legal name. Any time physical media is purchased to be mailed, you share your home address.

Do not trust antis with your personal information. It is not safe.

I really try not to engage in drama and bullshit on here because I think it's irresponsible and wastes everyones time, but when this type of money and personal safety is involved I think it's absolutely crucial to be aware of it. This is not drama, it's very basic safety.

Especially in this fucking fandom, with its history. There is a reason we have not had zines, and they would know that if they actually spent time here before trying to monetize your work. I say this due to their handling of it and also in case fandom folks around here don't have zine experience and don't know what red flags to look for, since we haven't had any. There is a mature and responsible way to navigate this new territory and this is absolutely not it.

as I'm learning (too much) about mortgages and interest rates, I've had this needling bother in the back of my mind like "you know, people talk about properties as 'investments' for money growth. but with interest rates the way they are, you're paying back twice the initial cost of the property you bought. you'd need the property to keep up with doubling in value over 30 years--and then even if you sell the property, you need to buy somewhere else to live. seems like a lackluster investment."

and somehow it took until now for me to realize that big investment companies that are doing this are absolutely not taking out 30 year fixed 6.66% APR mortgage loans they are, in fact, buying properties cash-in-hand. At worst eating property tax costs year over year and likely compensating for that with renting the property. And then they get to sell it later for the entire full gain of the property's appreciation and anyway i wish the whole thing a very die.

What markers do you use and what kind paper? The textures are so Delicious

Very basic paper, actually! I find I overthink when using expensive stuff and it makes my sketches worse.

As for markers, I use Copics! Not that this is an endorsement (my first set were a very nice gift), but I have really liked using alcohol based markers over water based ones; lovely texture, good blending, and less streaking. However, the price can be *brutal*, and you can very easily get by with other markers + pencil crayons.
