///I mentioned it somewhere on my about, and I'll probably rewrite it so it's more clear in a bit. But my canon is manga and anime mixed. However, though I love the animation/art for the anime I lean more into the plot, pacing, and characterization of the manga. The biggest things for me from the manga vs the anime, is that the manga wasn't so all over the place and frustrating about the way Inuyasha and Kagome felt about each other. Inuyasha as a result didn't feel writing wise so dumbed down or as mean? Not sure how else to describe it.

But He was very clear that while he couldn't forget about Kikyo because of their history and his guilt, he would always choose Kagome between the two. That he wanted to be with her. And this was stated so early on compared to the anime that it actually made me a little upset when I just started reading the manga. Inuyasha has very complex feelings regarding Kikyo and they can mostly be attributed to survivor's guilt. He did absolutely have feelings for her, she was the first person to acknowledge him as a person since the death of his mother. The first person willing to get close to him.

So I believe those feelings are real too, but-- and he thinks this much himself -- Kagome had more time with him and didn't ask him to change for her, outside of being a little more friendly. She is the one that taught Inuyasha that it was okay to make friends and lean on others for support. That he didn't have to be alone. Kikyo would have absolutely wanted to be that for him, but she didn't get the chance. Her wish to love Inuyasha, Kagome is that wish being granted.

This quickly became why I love InuKag, but the way the two interact in the anime vs the manga does change peoples perception of Inuyasha himself. The anime changed a very heartfelt scene where he was explaining his feelings to her, to the infamous "Why can't I have both?" scene when confronted about Kikyo vs Kagome. One of those makes Inuyasha a lot less complex as a result.

mainly i started out by giving her a diamond motif in her earlier design to go w my gf's heart motif angel, Kyrie, as i was making her a girlfriend. (i was thinking like suits in a deck)

to provide meaning tho, Cera's diamond motif represents both star and ice. shes very rigid, typically humorless and themed around logic and law, though shes more just a nerdy rule stickler and has to deal with the laws she maintains being impossible to uphold enitrely. she gets sensitive abt it when things dont go her way.

anyways moving onward to the little diamond above her head, thats more or less her halo because i didnt feel like a typical round ring would fit her all that well when redesigning her. (and like ramiel from eva) so i ended up making her halo more unique, i also picture it being her tool for non-euclidean manipulation, glowing when in use and also being what spawns her wings.

session 5 for both scott and jimmy mirror each other in that they’re dedicated to powering up and preparing. scott gets a full set of protection IV diamond armor together with 30 diamonds in the enderchest to spare. jimmy, however, spends the entire episode trying to get good enchants on his iron set in a way that reminds me of a small bird flying into a window over and over again

words are stupid <- he's frustrated bc he hates the word self/cest, doesn't feel comfy with ama/sui as a alternative, isn't quite sure autospec labels fit his experience, and is hesitant on the term charidem (coined by @/neopronouns) for a few reasons; ultimately I use mirrorship/mirrorshipping but that doesn't work well as a standalone term imo (in the sense of use as a noun? idk)
